  1. There is no answer to “climate change”. The climate changes, and always has changed in natural cycles. While human activity may contribute to climate change, no one can be certain exactly what that amount is. What can be attributed to human activity, is pollution, through toxic chemicals in the air, ground, water, and food, as well as noise pollution and electromagnetic radiation.
    The issue with population is the carrying capacity of the land in which that population lives. Russia is almost twice as large as the US, but could never support almost twice the US population, which is already nearing, if not at the tipping point in some areas, because, like Canada, massive chunks of Russia are uninhabitable. Many “shithole” countries are “shitholes” because they can’t feed themselves. The carrying capacity of the land, which includes water resources, has been passed
    Capitalism as the panacea for everything is a myth. It is good for some things, not others. It certainly hasn’t been good for the environment any more than communism is or was. Being less bad is not a virtue. Importing the majority of your food is no answer to the destruction, by overpopulation, of the land itself. Life is about more than markets.
