My theory is that there simply haven’t been enough tourists from China, and other places, coming to Africa to help spread it around. Areas where the biggest past time is eating crickets on the Serengeti Plain, and boiling your albinos for medicinal purposes aren’t exactly big tourist hotspots.

Plus, it looks like it is starting to spread into the “whiter” parts of Africa…Egypt and other countries to the north, and South Africa. I have a feeling that once it gets into the “darker” areas, it’ll spread like wildfire.
