
In what’s left of the United Kingdom, a new report issued by the Equality and Human Rights Commission warns too many whites are getting apprenticeships.
Yes, the report actually uses the word “warns” when describing how whites are overrepresented in getting an unfair share of the trainee placements. Employers need to reserve places on apprenticeship schemes for young women, disabled people and ethnic minorities to create a more level playing field, the country’s equality body has said.
The government has pledged to create 3 million apprenticeships in England by next year. But almost 90% of apprentices aged 16-24 are white, compared with 82% of the population.
While there are similar numbers of female and male apprentices, women remain significantly under-represented in the better-paid industries. And the number of people starting an apprenticeship last year who had learning difficulties, disabilities or health problems dropped by 17% on the previous year.
With National Apprenticeship Week starting on Monday, the Equality and Human Rights Commission says firms need to take steps to get more people from minority groups into trainee schemes, favouring them against other similarly qualified candidates if necessary.
Few employers are making use of powers given to them under the 2010 Equality Act to tackle disadvantage and under-representation experienced by certain groups, according to a report by the commission, the University of Chester and the Young Women’s Trust. “Women continue to be shut out of key parts of the economy due to outdated gender stereotypes and a lack of support,” said Dr Carole Easton, the trust’s chief.
“We need a level playing field in the workplace for women, disabled people and ethnic minorities,” said Rebecca Hilsenrath, the commission’s chief executive. “If we can do this at the point of entry to the labour market, we will take giant steps towards closing pay gaps and eliminate the outdated idea that certain kinds of people ought to be doing certain kinds of jobs.”
In England, women made up only 5% of people starting apprenticeship in construction, planning and the built environment. In contrast, women were over-represented in apprenticeships in poorly paid sectors, such as hairdressing and early-years care. They made up 94% of all apprenticeship starts in child development and wellbeing in England last year.
But the commission warns that too many companies “are hesitant about using positive action because they’re worried about inadvertently discriminating against others”. Last week Cheshire police were found guilty of discriminating against a white, heterosexual 25-year-old man because it used positive action in an unlawful way. Matthew Furlong, 25, applied to join the service in 2017 but lost out to other candidates. An employment tribunal found Furlong had been discriminated against on the basis of his sexual orientation, race and sex.
The commission said ignorance of the law was holding back some employers in opening up apprenticeships to minorities. “Employers need to take a confident and pro-active approach if they are really going to make a difference here,” Hilsenrath said. “Unfortunately employers such as Cheshire police falling foul of the law due to a lack of understanding add to this fear. In reality, when used correctly, positive action is a powerful way for employers to address skills shortages and foster inclusive and diverse working environments that allow everyone to reach their full potential.”
The report calls on employers to reserve places for certain groups and provide mentoring to them. It also wants a candidate from a minority group favoured if there is a “tie-in” with a candidate from a non-minority group.
“Used appropriately and robustly, positive action can provide a vitally effective means of tackling disadvantage and under-representation, but unfortunately, there is little practical evaluation of the use of positive action in apprenticeships or in wider employment,” said Professor Chantal Davies at the University of Chester.
Once a civilization deems the advocation of equality the highest moral order, all efforts to promote the interests of minorities in the pursuit of this noble goal are required, even if it means implementing discriminatory policies.
After all, as this report from the Equality and Human Rights Commission “warns,” too many white people are getting ahead in the United Kingdom courtesy of apprenticeship placements.
And this can’t be in a civilization where the advancement of non-whites is the primary concern of every segment of society.
It won’t be long until the Equality and Human Rights Commission just deems it illegal to hire whites, as this will ensure the organizations primary directive is finally fulfilled.

This is by far one of the craziest editorials I’ve read in awhile. The government wants to help women, disabled, and minorities by hiring them over white men.
In some cities in America, minorities are now the majorities and they still don’t get hired because they can’t do the job. In North Carolina it has been proposed to lower the standard for an F (failure) to 39 percent to help struggling minorities. Some cities are getting rid of entrance exams entirely because they benefit whites who are more competent than blacks.
So…in the case of hiring disabled people, would they hire quadraplegics to be riot control officers? There could be a cadre of “Stephan Hawkings” in motorized wheelchairs to control mobs.
Yeah…that’s the ticket, and hire tiny women to lift bags of cement over 100 pounds, and to do the really hard constuction work.
Ummmm…blacks could take over the universities and become the professors. Entities like NASA could fire all white men and ONLY hire negroes.

They can create 3 million new apprenticeships, and guess what? They are going to have to fill them with majority whites at the same rate as before or leave them unfilled.
The average black doesn’t grow up dreaming of going to college and becoming a doctor or lawyer. If they dream about doing something it’s becoming a rapper or professional athlete. They don’t take school seriously (even if they have the aptitude for it), and end up working part time nothing jobs or selling drugs/committing crimes and living on the government dole.
The “talented tenth” that do make it through high school (usually raised by a mixed-race parent or parents), due to affirmative action, will be elevated into such elite strata of academic achievement that they will instantly be overqualified for a “lowly” apprenticeship. These rare unicorns have to populate the set-aside quota spots at the top professional schools.
England bemoaning why there aren’t enough blacks filling apprenticeship positions is the same as in America when people bemoan why there aren’t any black applicants who can pass the police or firefighters’ written exam. These applicants exist, but due to shortage of lukewarm IQs in the black population, each and every one of them has been over-elevated several levels to fill token spots in elite fields.
Other than filling government jobs and clerk positions at every hospital in the country, there is no black middle class. It’s all or nothing. Doctor or drug-dealer. President or hustler. Why would any black that would be a suitable candidate for an apprenticeship or firefighting position do that when they could get a job that pays 100 times more and gave them untold respect (among their white and asian peers)?

I remember when equal opportunity meant a level playing field for all, regardless of race, gender or sexual preference and that seemed to me to be a fair goal to strive for, it still does. Apparently that makes me a racist and sexist bigot these days.
I remember when tolerance meant acceptance of other peoples right to be different, so long as they stayed within the law and didn’t go out of their way to upset other people. That too seemed to be fair and tolerant people were deemed to be liberals and I was happy to be described as such.
I also remember rational debate and freedom of speech, especially in academic circles. Reasoned argument was the ultimate arbiter of truth and logical forms and carefully defined terms were considered to be necessary and obvious.
These days I routinely get flamed by both sides in online debates, people who I previously regarded as rational going totally batshit on me for no particularly evident reason and not in just other comments either (Less than 2 days ago I got the most astonishing flaming I have ever had on the “Vinyard of the Saker” from no less than the Saker himself (articles frequently published on the Unz review and listed as selected alternative media on this website) on the current LGBT article) Yet another website which I will never frequent again.

Baltimore woman killed in shooting was niece of Ceasefire organizer
When Letrice Gant helped organize Baltimore’s peace movement Ceasefire, she didn’t know the devastating pain of a killing first-hand.
That changed Wednesday when Gant’s 21-year-old niece Kaylyn High was shot in the head on East 22nd Street near Guilford Avenue. Police say she was an unintended target of a 25-year-old man arguing with another person when he fired his weapon.
Gant, 44, of West Baltimore, said her niece’s death is too raw for her to talk about, but in the aftermath she knows one thing for sure: Her commitment to healing the city through Ceasefire has deepened.
“It’s powered me up,” said Gant, who spoke Friday at the Baltimore Community Mediation Center in Waverly with her fellow Ceasefire organizers. “Any anger, any frustration, any sadness that I feel, I use those feelings as a platform to get the work done.
“Love is an action word.”

The group is planning a ceremony at 6 p.m. Wednesday to recognize High’s life and death. It is a ritual to create a “sacred space” by praying over an area and burning sage and camphor. The location was planned for the site of the shooting but is being moved for safety reasons. The new location has not been determined.
Few details about High’s death have been revealed.
Police are continuing to investigate, but have arrested 25-year-old Ramon Burks of East Baltimore in her killing. He was taken into custody Thursday in North Baltimore and charged with first-degree murder, reckless endangerment, assault and handgun violations.
Around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said they received a ShotSpotter alert for the 300 block of E. 22nd St., but when officers arrived they did not find any victims.
High, of Johnston Square, meanwhile arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to her head. She died during surgery.
Detective Chakia Fennoy, a police spokeswoman, said police believe Burks was arguing with another person when he fired a gun and struck High. Fennoy said High was not the intended target. It is not clear whether High and Burks knew each other.
Online court records did not list an attorney for Burks.

Gant said High’s death has been traumatic, and unlike anything her family has dealt with before.
She posted an emotional plea to her friends on Facebook, saying: “I don’t want condolences. I don’t want anybody to tell me how sorry they are. I do want people to heal from whatever trauma they are going through so that they don’t give it to anybody else.
“I want people to stop acting like it can’t happen to them. I want people to learn how to manage conflict without violence. I want people to commit to healing Baltimore City. I want people to stop believing the lie that being a ‘good person’ is enough.”
Ceasefire was created in August 2017 when Gant and a group of friends called for an end to gun violence — urging “nobody kill anybody” over a single weekend that summer. The calls for peace have continued quarterly; the next is set for Mother’s Day weekend in May.
Over that weekend, people are invited to take whatever action they can to spread peace and love under the Ceasefire banner, from having a family dinner to holding a sign on a prayer walk to playing video games with friends.
Gant said if a killing does happen between 12:01 a.m. on the Friday of a Ceasefire weekend and 11:59 p.m. on that Sunday, it does not mean that the ceasefire is broken or unsuccessful. Victory is measured in many ways, she said: hope in a child that violence can be conquered, calm in the heart of a mother or help offered to someone in need.
“Murder does not end a ceasefire,” Gant said.
Even as High’s death was personal for Gant and the Ceasefire organizers, the group said they place no more value on one life than another: Every single life in Baltimore matters.
“A life is a life to us,” said Erricka Bridgeford, Ceasefire’s founder. “Hundreds of people are touched by one life being lost, no matter who you think that person was, or who you think that person should have been.
“We talk to loved ones all the time. We hear all the stories of who that person was and why they were loved, and who they could have been and what their potential was.”

I aced an apprentice exam. Then the passing score was lowered to 70 something percent to accommodate the historically underrepresented women and minorities (or any combination thereof). I left the company before I made my way up the list to be eligible. Before my exam the procedure was top score, first pick. My white privilege getting the better of me.

I’ve been in IT for over a quarter century now, mostly with software development and testing.
In those years, I struggle to recall a SINGLE competent (or any!) black software developer.
The only blacks I worked with were automated testers who would usually ride out their 6-month contracts and wouldn’t be hired because of their gross incompetence. The sole black project manager I worked with during that time barely showed up for work (3 years ago he had 68 unexcused absences, but nobody did a thing about it outside of complaining!).
Yet my companies have “made a commitment do diversity!” nonetheless; but, since they cannot find blacks, they’ve fallen back on Indians and women instead, which has proven to be anywhere from sub-par to disastrous. Indians are only good at doing robotic, repetitive tasks; their communication almost always sucks (and I am not just talking about the spoken word; a lot of times they don’t even bother telling you WHAT they are doing (like code changes) and thus, all of a sudden, things break because of some change nobody knew about!); and, when things DO break, they usually ignore it and hope somebody else (i.e. a competent white male) will go in and fix it for them. And the women usually get “promoted” to “project managers” since they cannot code, which brings about even more disaster since they can hardly EVER make a decision but instead insist on having meetings and meetings after meetings in order to “have a conversation” about where they feel things should do, without ANYONE making decisions or taking responsibility for anything.
And, again, all I see is a downward spiral into stagnation and suck because of all this “commitment to diversity.” Yet, nobody dares question it…so all we do is watch it all unravel…and unravel it WILL.

There is a strong reason for the unemployment rate hovering around 5% – the hard truth is that by reason of disability or lack of ability to learn, concentrate or train, 5% of people are “unemployable” in that they cost their employers more than can possibly be gained from their labour – i.e. training, re-working mistakes, indolence etc.
The only organisation that can employ people like this, with no regard as to cost, is the Government.
When you have a large proportion of the population unable to focus on future time orientation, generally sub-par IQ and schooling, no desire to learn, and propensity to violence, irrational behaviour and criminality, this is the proportion of the population that is generally “unemployable”.
I suspect that the recent clamour regarding “dis-proportionality” is merely a harbinger of wide-ranging governmental interference in private industry’s employment proportions on every level. Private security companies will have to hire wheel-chair bound huge-arse lesbian sows as “Security Guards”, irrespective of ability or merit, because “Level playing field” diversity mandates.

It’s called “Affirmative Action Peter Principle Force Multiplier”.
The Peter Principle says that people tend to be promoted to their level of incompetence. Under AA people tend to be promoted to from two to five levels over that level.
BHO is a good example. He’s smarter than the _average_ white, but as Presidents go one of the slower and lazier ones. Under segregation he’d have been a successful black small businessman or a lawyer handling average black issues. Or he’d have maybe been a foreman at an auto assembly plant, or a locomotive engineer, or a decent fleet mechanic for the city bus fleet.
He would never have been admitted to Harvard Law, but a lower tier or HBCU law school where they pound black letter law hard so as to maximize the bar chances of students.
Most blacks, however, have an IQ in the low nineties or lower-about forty percent are under 85 by some fair amount. They can only do repetitive manual work when carefully supervised and can be left alone in civil society only under a system of swift, sure, and serious discipline for infractions.
And of course some are going to be serious liabilities and need to be exiled, put down, or sterilized and carefully supervised.
