Which brings us to the latest name change…[Minneapolis School Board approves new name for Patrick Henry High School, KARE11.com, December 13, 2023]:
MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis School Board members passed a proposal Tuesday to rename Patrick Henry High School, a move that comes years into community ire directed at the school’s namesake.
The school, located in the city’s north side Camden neighborhood, will officially become known as Camden High School by July 1, 2024. The school board settled on Camden, a Scottish word meaning “winding valley,” not only because of its location but also because it’s not representative of any particular person.
The path to rename the school was first forged in 2018, when community members expressed their concerns about the legacy of former Virginia governor and “Founding Father,” Patrick Henry. While Henry is perhaps most well known for delivering the famous line, “Give me liberty or give me death,” he was also known for owning slaves.
At the time a name change was first floated, a supporter told KARE 11, “I feel like he’s not a person who represents me the way I identify as — the way my peers identify as.”
But the impending vote was ultimately postponed, following hours of debate between students and staff. It wasn’t until years later in August of 2022 that the school board voted to move forward with the transition. Since then, the district has sought and collected input from the community and student groups, bringing it to the body’s Tuesday decision.
The official resolution put forth by Minneapolis Public Schools said the district “believes that a school name should be inspirational and welcoming to all students.”
“Camden” was among two finalists sent to the district for review, beating out “Victory High School” in the end.
In its presentation to the school board, district officials said their next steps will include decisions regarding the school’s colors, mascot and branding, while also creating a multi-year budget plan to successfully implement the change.
The school is just the latest in Minnesota to get a new name, most recently, following in the footsteps of Minneapolis’ Las Estrellas and Ella Baker schools, formerly Sheridan and Jefferson, respectively.
It might be proactive to just go ahead and realize the logical conclusion of this push is the renaming of Washington D.C. At the course we are on, there’s nothing that will stop this idea from being proposed.
Also, worth noting, Patrick Henry High School boasts a student body that is 93 percent non-white (50 percent black). Not too many Americans left at the former Patrick Henry High School. Not much liberty left there… but sounds like the death of white America.

One of the smartest things the Left did was desegregation of schools. This forced wealthier whites to send their kids to private schools. Once wealthier whites sent their kids to private schools, where unruly kids can be expelled with ease, middle and working class whites got stuck with minorities in their “publik skoolz” who would act as a brake on higher scholastic achievement. If whites (or anybody) scored too highly, then the school is pressured to “close the gap” which results in dumbing down the curricula. As honors classes and advanced programs have been phased out (to close the gaps), most rigorous scholastic achievement has been drained away from public schools.
Meanwhile white rich kids go to private schools that strive for excellence and have the enormous advantage of QUIET classrooms, little violence, and a culture or mental effort. Middle class brainy whites in public schools almost have to hide how smart they are for fear of being physically bullied by resentful idiots. Could you imagine what wealthy whites would do to get their kids out of Patrick Henry High in Minneapolis. Ann Coulter once phrased that liberals “would move heaven and earth” to make sure their own kids didn’t have to attend schools with illegal alien children. I mean they’d borrow money to send their kids to boarding schools in other states of their state made private schools illegal, but they are all for the mechanics/dry-waller/nurse/longshoremans kid being forced to attend Patrick Henry High. Many wealthy whites are against homeschooling also. Regular whites are their “buffer” who are supposed to endure diversity so the rich don’t have to.
The advantages of a good private school are enormous. Most people wouldn’t believe how bad public schools have become. They want a kid to be able to add/subtract/multiply and divide, be about half literate, pretty much historically ignorant, and that’s about it. They want graduates to not know anything about finance, starting a business, or civics. They want them just smart enough to be employable in the lowest rung jobs, but stupid enough so that marketing schemes can trick them endlessly in their 20s into debt-saddled, wasteful spending on conspicuous consumption.
Replacement indeed.

North side of Minneapolis is similar to that of St. Louis. Back in the late 50’s, early 60’s I attended Mpls Central, on the south side. At that time the black student body was maybe 15%. However, because of Minnesota’s most liberal welfare laws, within three or four years that population soared to nearing half the students.
Patrick Henry was old school in the original Americanist sense. So what if that Virginia patriot was a slave holder back 250 years ago. They all were, if they had some wealth. Camden is not a bad name. At least it was not named after George Floyd. But something is missing…American history.

That was indeed proposed during the Summer of Floyd. The city’s name was to change from Washington, District of Columbia (DC) to the Douglass Commonwealth (still DC) in honor of the black abolitionist Frederick Douglass. Already a new Amtrak tunnel in Baltimore (Bodymore, Murderland) is being named for him as well.
DC hasn’t changed its name yet, but that day will come, just as it has come for so many schools, streets, parks, Army posts, etc. This movement has momentum and our enemies aren’t going to stop.
On a personal basis, I have already renamed DC. I refer to it as the Darkest Congo, which is very fitting.
The chutzpah of immigrants, often illegal immigrants to demand the renaming of schools, highways, roads, landmarks etc. is astonishing until you realize (((who))) is actually behind all this iconoclasm.
Might as well name it The Retard Factory because that’s what the school is producing. They’re worried about who the school is named after, while graduating 20 year olds who can barely read or do math at a 3rd grade level. As I have said before, most of the students and their parents probably have no idea who Patrick Henry is, or what he is known for. Same goes for all the statues being removed, the average hood rat has no idea who the statue is of, let alone taken the time to read the plaque of their accomplishments, even if they walk past it every day of their life.
Also, blaming an inanimate statue for your failures in life or making you feel bad is a sign of much bigger issues.

On a different note, there should also be a separation of education and state.
The only way out of this whole government schools mess is to abolish ALL property taxes for education and return total control of education to the parents. Would there be parents that would skimp on their children’s education? Yes, but the situation would be no worse than today’s urban government schools that turn out students who cannot read and write, yet still get millions of dollars despite, while claiming that their funding is “never enough”. Flushing the money down the toilet would achieve better results.

My dad graduated from Archbishop Carroll High School in WDC, which was ~99.9% White in 1960. Before he died, the school tried to hit him up for a major donation. He glanced at their current student population, and remarked, “Sorry, but this is not ‘my school’ any more.”

You’re partly correct but not completely. White flight from the cities was a response to forced integration, and thankfully the US Supreme Court put an end to forced busing on the national level in 1974, though it might have continued in some local areas beyond that, such as in the Southern US.
I support Brown v. Board of Education (but not its shoddy reasoning) but I think that forced busing was a step too far for the reason that you mention. As in, the fact that wealthy whites (who are often liberals) can escape it (in spite of their virtue-preaching and moralizing to other, less fortunate whites) by sending their kids to fancy private schools. Putting an end to forced busing, combined with white flight, ensured that at least a sizable part of the public schools in the US would remain of good quality. Nowadays not even the Woke Left is actually advocating in favor of bringing back forced busing. I wonder why. Maybe because it would cause suburbanites to flee from the Democratic Party in large numbers?

Urban public education is a jobs program for blacks and other minorities who could never get a job elsewhere. When New York State created a test to insure that unqualified teachers could not be hired but was attacked and overturned by the courts as discriminatory toward blacks and Hispanics. New Jersey’s governor Phil Murphy is trying to throw out the PRAXIS exam for teachers and why, because blacks and Hispanics can’t get a passing score. School boards in places like Newark an Paterson in New Jersey are made up of local black and Hispanic politicos whose primary function is to create jobs and keep the money flowing to their friends. Providing an education to the children in these places is their lowest priority.
And Whites either stay silent or wholly endorse it. These parasites and rats and only doing what they are allowed to do, and when they smell weakness they strike.
If the fear of God was put into every nog, shitskin, and yid when they acted up (as Whites used to do), then it wouldn’t be an issue. Who is Dreaming of a Non-White Christmas?
An employee of color made the mistake. Democratic Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, an Asian, threw a “Holiday Party” for “Electeds of Color” on the city council. Denise DosSantos, her black assistant, accidentally sent invitations to the entire city council. The mayor said sending the email to white city councilmen was an “honest mistake” and rejoiced that the city is a place where “different communities” come together.
The story has been popular on conservative sites, with complaints about the mayor’s “racism.” But it can’t be racism. Racism is officially “prejudice plus power,” and since only whites have power, non-whites can never be racists. This is, of course nonsense, but why even argue with “progressives” over one of their invented words?
I give the mayor credit. She denied the party was offensive, and said it was a way to celebrate “identity, culture, and heritage.” She says there is a long tradition of “Electeds of Color” parties. Then how about a party for “electeds of no color”? Whites are a minority in the city, like everyone else. Of course, white identity and probably even unhyphenated American identity are “banned in Boston,” but that’s our failure, not Mayor Wu’s.
What does the mayor’s white husband think about this? Is he invited? (“Woke” women of color often rail against white racism but settle down with a white guy.) He’s probably happy with the party. Like so many whites, he would find it bizarre to celebrate white identity, because he probably has no identity.
White self-erasure is especially strange, as America devolves ever further into tribalism and segregation. Universities hold segregated graduation ceremonies in both Canada and the United States. Schools separate students by race; this is spearheaded by “woke” leftists. Top companies get media approval when they pledge to hire more blacks. Palantir recently offered 180 jobs to Jewish students worried about campus anti-Semitism; no such offers to gentile whites. Being a BIPOC is the basic job description for many well-paid people including, perhaps, some college presidents.
Brown v. Board of Education was brought to the courts by jews who were on their way to destroying stable white societies.

My experiences with uncivilized blacks began at an early age, manifesting itself in my experiences about race, and the inability of blacks to function in white society which fully developed in high school.
In the 1960s, Detroit public schools were already in their decline with the disruptions from black “students”. (I use that term loosely).
In fact, Detroit’s high schools had “black students unions” that were successful in getting the American flag removed from the front of the schools and replacing them with “black nationalist” flags.
The ordeal that us white students had to go through was harrowing, to say the least. White students did not use the restrooms, as a “beatdown” by multiple blacks was usually the result. Us whites always tried to be in clear view of school personnel at all times in order to avoid attacks by blacks.
Blacks never fought one-on-one, the “pack mentality” was evident then as is today.
Any attempts by us whites to defend themselves was met with indifference, and even outright hostility, especially from black school officials. You see, even then, blacks were not “responsible” for their behavior.
Blacks did not want to learn, the same situation that still exists today.
Despite being given every consideration, and more, blacks were always disruptive.
You see, just as is the case today, excelling at education is “acting white” and was frowned upon by black “students”. Most of the teachers just shrugged their shoulders, let the disruptions go on until the next class period. It only took a few blacks in class to disrupt the whole “learning process”.
Almost all of the teachers were deferential to blacks, although there were a few good teachers who tried to carefully shield their white and Asian students (us) from predatory blacks, giving us additional attention and coursework, knowing that we would excel in spite of the, violent, raucous atmosphere.
