Even during the Coronavirus lockdown, black violence is unrelenting. Worse, taking down basketball rims hasn’t increased social distancing (blacks are disproportionately impacted by the virus int he city) nor stopped fatal/nonfatal shootings in Louisville among the black population. LOUISVILLE, Ky. —Five months into the year, and there have been 40 homicides across the Metro. According to LMPD Chief Steve Conrad, 8 of those victims were black boys under the age of 18.
“Schools, parks, community centers, obviously they are closed. Basketball rims have been taken down to stop that interaction between people,” Conrad said. These were all measures aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19.
But Conrad says they can’t pinpoint an exact cause or solution. The idea of a citywide curfew has been tossed around, but Conrad doesn’t think that’s the answer.
“We’ve had some challenges between these groups or gangs whatever you want to call them and we’re working to address them. I don’t know if I would call it a turf war, but there are definitely challenges between these two groups,” Conrad said.
DeMarrion Fleming is the founder of nonprofit organization Sowing Seeds with Faith. He works with black youths in west Louisville, and says he knew several of the young men who have been killed in recent weeks.
“Four of those kids have come through my program and two of those kids were innocent bystanders,” Fleming said.
Fleming said he’s advocating for gathering places to reopen so children have safe places to go and stay occupied. Many have been shut down due to COVID-19.
“I’ve lost six kids in three months. So, closing centers has cost me six lives, opening centers has not cost me anything. So, I’m going to take the other side of the risk now,” Fleming said.
March 23 through March 27 was supposed to be Youth Violence Prevention Week. Imani Smith is part of the youth implementation team with the Office of Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods.
Smith said they anticipated an uptick in violence during the pandemic, but says it is not fair to pinpoint one cause.
“You have to take into consideration that the slew of things coming about because of the pandemic, people are going to respond to it the way that they’re mental health allows them to,” said Smith.
There have been 118 non-fatal shootings in Louisville this year.
The Coronavirus shutdown seems to be accelerating black violence across the nation, with similar patters seen in Chicago, Baltimore, Memphis, Atlanta, New Orleans, Charlotte, Washington D.C., and Indianapolis.
But how can we blame white people for this increase in black violence, even when basketball rims come down?

Why do I constantly read and hear the phrase “mental health”? So people can misbehave?

Wasn’t the whole point of Midnight basketball to keep them off the streets so they wouldn’t be shooting each other, raping, selling drugs, or commiting other crimes? Now the basketball hoops were removed and shootings have gone up, seems like it wasn’t such a silly program after all.
Okay, so one of the most violent demographics made up 20% of the fatalities, but who made up the other 80%? Don’t their lives matter too, WLKY?

Once again, I'm reminded of the mental patients I once worked with. Some of them would flip out and become violent when the seasons were changing, the moon entered its full phase or a holiday such as Xmas (or any other) came along. Such things were "disruptions" and they didn't handle them well at all. It was all too "stressful" and put them under too much pressure.
The only way to solve the negro problem is to sterilize all those with an IQ of 85 and below so they can't breed more morons. That seems harsh (maybe) but even the mental patients weren't allowed to breed since no one needed more of them.Replies: @nokangaroos

Using the word “ravaging” to describe this is overkill. It’s not like they’re dropping like flies in a new bubonic plague. A few dozen dead here and there isn’t going to impact them much at all. It impacts us more in that we pay the taxes for their medical expenses. The ones getting killed are hardly rocket scientists and are immediately replaced by the young bloods coming up.

O/T, but while watching a replay of a past Indy 500 on ESPN yesterday, I noticed on the crawl at the bottom of the tv where they give you other sports results/news that the NASCAR driver that got fired for saying the dreaded N word won a World of Outlaws race, a pretty important thing. It just made my heart glad. Here was a very talented young driver who, in the heat of a moment (he was competing in a virtual race when he lost internet connection) uttered that word that blacks themselves use when addressing each other and his sponsors (no doubt run by fellow White people) dropped him and the White owner of his team fired him. Couldn’t any of these people just say that he said something in the heat of a moment and that we’re all human and we forgive him. No, for a White person to publicly say that word now is a sentence of death. On the other hand, had he been black and said the word honky or cracker, would he have suffered the same consequences? I seriously doubt it.
There was a press conference regarding this bongo party. It was 99% negro troublemakers, sheriff and police chief were pathetic. One council woman who lives near this fiasco spoke and was outraged, it was worse than the press is letting you know. The local naacp agitator spoke and her concern was no masks! She said negroes have every right to go to the beach, we all bleed red, blah, blah, blah. 26 paying families checked out Sunday morning. No report on how many tons of trash the county had to pick up.

Trying to make them ‘un-bored’ is an expensive, full time proposition and the only result is that they sorta-kinda stop killing each other. They never actually stop… just ease back on the throttle.
We’ve wasted trillions, staples useless, undeserved diplomas to their foreheads, installed them in positions where they can fail and not get fired, reluctantly absorbed them into civilized society where they refuse to integrate and still, when the power goes out, they immediately resort to killing one another because they’re bored.

Recently, Louisville plain clothes police conducted a no-knock raid at the wrong address. One of the occupants thought it was a home invasion robbery and used his legal firearm to defend himself and his property. The cops returned fire and killed the guy’s girlfriend. The guy is now in jail. It was a rare case of a negro using a legal firearm for self defense, yet the media is silent.

Elderly man dies after shooting in Gwinnett County

NORCROSS, Ga. (CBS46) — Gwinnett County police said a shooting Sunday that left a 70-year-old man dead, appears to be gang-related.
Police said Richard St. John was taken to a local hospital in critical condition where he later died. No one else was injured.
The incident happened in a subdivision on Brittney Way near Phil Niekro Parkway in Norcross. Witnesses told police the shooters flashed gang signs before opening fire on St.John and his family.
Gwinnett County’s gang task force is assisting police in searching for the shooters.
St. John’s family members told CBS46 News, St. John was outside with some loved ones when a group of party-goers from a nearby gathering started making trouble with neighbors. Some of them flashed gang signs before opening fire, the family members said.

I just saw a commercial featuring Kareem Abdul Jabbar in partnership with the NBA explaining how the coronavirus is disproportionately impacting the black community. Meanwhile–you can’t make this up–the ad featured photographs of no less than four black people incorrectly wearing their masks.

Bring the rims back and leave them on the ground along with tools, hardware, instructions, and ladders. Aluminum ladders. Set up cameras at the local scrap yard and see how many rims actually get installed on the courts for the little Kangs and Queenz. ATHENS, Ga. — Two college graduates are spending time in a hospital when they should be celebrating their accomplishments.
According to Athens-Clarke County Police, two recent University of Georgia graduates were attacked Sunday night as they were leaving a store. Police said 39-year-old Eric Keith Mitchell was charged with two counts of aggravated battery and two counts of aggravated assault..

Quite the contrary, a cutoff (heh 😛 ) of 85 is generous enough to make it colorblind.
I think you have to read between the PC lines here. 8 of 40 is 20%, but that number represents blacks under 18. Of the 32 remaining homicides there must be African Americans over 18. Now how many black adults the author stealthly omits.
