White privilege?

Systemic inequities?

Implicit bias?

Explain this. [Rantz: WA schools adopt race-based discipline, white students to get harsher punishment, MyNorthWest.com, March 21, 2022]:

A Washington school board butted heads over a new student discipline policy that considers a student’s race before deciding on a punishment.

The Clover Park School District debated its new “culturally responsive” student discipline policy. It means student discipline would not be consistent based on conduct. Instead, a school considers a student’s race and background. It would likely offer harsher punishments to white students, even if the conduct is identical to that of a black or Hispanic student.

The disparate treatment is championed in the name of inclusion. But it’s not just a Clover Park School District controversy.

The culturally responsive policy impacts every Washington school district after Democrats passed a law institutionalizing critical race theory in student discipline.

Culturally responsive discipline gets support

The Clover Park School Board adopted a revised student discipline policy at its March 14 meeting by a vote of 3-2. At times, the meeting was contentious as two board members argued it’s wrong to use race to determine punishment. The district is majority-minority, with 28% white students.

According to the policy, disruptive students may face “exclusionary as well as positive and supportive forms of discipline.” But the focus, the policy maintains, is to keep students in the classroom and provide “equitable educational opportunities.”

To make student discipline outcomes more “equitable,” the policy must meet “individual student needs in a culturally responsive manner” via “culturally responsive discipline.”

The state officially defines “culturally responsive” as “knowledge of student cultural histories and contexts, as well as family norms and values in different cultures; knowledge and skills in accessing community resources and community and parent outreach; and skills in adapting instruction to students’ experiences and identifying cultural contexts for individual students.”

In practice, it means favorable treatment of racial minorities.

Rantz: Teacher disciplined for disturbingly sexual comment to young student

Race-based discipline

The two conservative members of the Clover Park school board asked what is meant by the term culturally responsive discipline. Deputy superintendent Brian Laubach attempted to explain.

“Essentially they’re referring, there, that you look at ‘are you dispersing discipline across the ethnicities the racial groups equitably,’ right?,” Laubach said. “So, are you disciplining African-American boys more than you’re disciplining white boys, right? So, are you paying attention to all of that in your data?”

He continued by listing some specific data schools would need to compile on student discipline.

“What are their backgrounds? Ethnicity? That sort of thing can be commented in that way about it. Then, asking classroom teachers, asking administrators who dispense that discipline, you know, what brought that about over the other forms of discipline you used in your classroom to make a change happen before sending a kid out, perhaps, for a behavior violation,” Laubach said.

Conservative board member pushes back

Attempting to further explain the concept, board member Anthony Veliz offered a clumsy example of a student stealing a slice of pizza. Veliz argued that the student’s culture teaches that stealing is permitted.

“What if, you know, just saying, like, in my background, what if that type of rule that we broke was more acceptable at my house, right, versus your house?” Veliz said. “And, you know, when I’m talking to them, like, ‘hey, you know, what, actually, I thought I was okay, I thought it was fine to grab that piece of pizza before anybody else. Because in my house, I’m allowed to do that.’ Right?”

Board member Paul Wagemann, meanwhile, rejected this concept.

ORDER IT NOW

“Let’s say we both commit the same offense,” Wagemann explained. “Then the question should be what are the consequences of that offense? And how do we go through that process? That’s how I see it. And to be fair, if we both did the same thing, we should get the same consequence, the way I see it. And I think that’s how most children on the playground like to see it. Most of us as citizens in our community like to see it that way. That it’s equal.”

As the white population in America declines, the standards of civilization white people collectively created are nothing more than racist, with the rising tide of non-whites incapable of replicating them.

Thus, these standards are deemed racist.

How long until a law is passed to make it illegal for a white male to procreate with a white female? Isn’t the existence of white children anathema to the idea of inclusion?

The illegitimacy of our present system and the hostile nature of our anti-white elite becomes more terrifyingly obvious by the day.

Pull your kids out of public schools. Keeping them in public schools is tantamount to child cruelty and child endangerment.

Hold that thought because I believe mainstream discussion at least will happen sooner than any of us think. How better to fight “white supremacy” than to prevent whites from procreating or forcing us to interbreed with non-whites?

Also remember that whites don’t exist, white is a nebulous racial category and whites aren’t really a race but when the other side wants to appropriate our wealth or harm us then suddenly the definition of white crystallizes.

Agreed. The skoolz aren’t even worth much as daycare centers, in that the culture therein only serve to reinforce sociopathy.

If you vote (no), then don’t vote for any school bond, sales tax increase, etc. It’s really something how EVERY school-related referenda asks voters to increase taxes. (They half-truthfully claim that the measure won’t increase taxes. The new bond will pick up where the almost paid off old bond leaves off.) Voters in this district are sort of on the right track, but what’s really needed are referenda to a_p_e, eliminate taxes, etc.

The two conservative members of the Clover Park school board asked ..

With friends like political conservatives .. Not that who sits on the school (draft) board really matters (pub ed is governed by vols of regs), but we’re long past the point of debating the merits of leftist ideas. Reflexively tell them they suck, and leave it at that.

its new “culturally responsive” student discipline policy

Not to wax too philosophical, but public schools, as part of the Executive branch, are not supposed to have policies (legislative prerogative) specifying how students who violate the rules are to be punished (judicial prerogative). Compounding the injustice, the schools punish without first obtaining conviction at fair trial.

  10. Some people just need a good kicking, but ultimately the parents are responsible for the school board they have. If they can’t unite to remove them, they should remove their children from their evil influence.

It is pure hatred to leave children in such an environment.

After all, all of the bullshit their kids have to take from the leftist public education system, would end immediately if the kids weren’t around!!. So, many of these problems are tied up with Americans own wills. Lack of will, of faith, sinks American’s on issue after issue. Why complicate these things. Nothing is gained by ignoring these important issues. Things only get worse.

Long ago a Dr. Roy Masters made a point of telling American parents to remove their kids from the public school system, because he had already seen how toxic the schools had become.

  19. Public “education” was never about teaching working class children practical life skills like critical thinking. Its primary purpose is to make sure the square pegs fit in the round holes that the owner class has readied for them in its wealth extraction machine. You know, the one they tell you is both a market, and free too, huzzah. Condition the proles when they’re little to spend every weekday being somewhere they don’t want to be doing something they don’t want to do, then teach them “history” that proves that this is the best of all possible worlds. And, hey, look at that scary Negro over there, is he trying to steal your place as well as your wallet? And what about that Evil Foreign Dictator, he’s just like the archvillains in your comic books and movies (we make those too) – he’s scheming to enslave you! But don’t worry, little people, we’ll keep protecting you, so long as you keep your head down and do what you’re told. And we even finance your shamans (they’re not tax free for nothing) so they can tell you all about the valuable gifts and prizes you’ll get after you’re dead if you just obey all our rules while you’re alive. And you know we do all of this for your own good, just like your own mommy and daddy, and we would never, ever lie to you, cross our hearts!

While your comments are correct. It is also true that people to the left on the curve are more likely to succumb to propaganda, because of low situational awareness and a lack of critical thinking skills.

  24. Take your children out of these assembly-line indoctrination centers. Every empty seat costs the school district money. Much more effective than protesting at the school board meetings and ending up on some white-supremacy terrorist watch list.

Get together with like-minded parents in your neighborhood, and crowd-fund a one-room schoolhouse, servicing 15-20 students in K-12, one schoolma’am or schoolmaster who can teach academic subjects to the level of the 1800s schoolhouses did. Your children will be the top achievers in their group, and manage to avoid being groomed to change genders. Of course, they will still have to share a bathroom with the other gender, but because there’s only one pot, and a door that can be locked, that won’t be a problem.

Attend your city council meetings (oops, that’ll be the new terrorists), and petition them to remove you from the property-tax rolls, which were excused as being implemented “to pay for common education.” And, if the city councils refuse to comply, let the lawsuits begin.

We were brought up to believe that the principal was god (little-g), and as a child that is probably a good idea. But once you became an alumni, YOU became the god, and the schools work for you now. Don’t be intimidated when having to deal with these little-Stalins. You have the control. I knew a private school mom who pulled her kid and then issued a ‘stop payment’ on the tuition check.

    Private schools suck less.

    • Middle class parents, who struggle to pay the full (after-tax!) tuition, are constantly hit up to participate in fundraisers.

    • If the school happens to be situated in a DEM district, chances are that the private schools therein embrace DEM “values”. Notably, rich White parents will make a fuss that their kid’s school lacks diversity, i.e. the school is admitting too many competitive Asians.

We homeschooled our > 2.2 kids, in very hands-on fashion from pre-K til when they were old enough to pursue their own interests (age ~14 or so). We were willing and able to teach (make entertaining, actually) the upper level, rigorous subjects but, not being taskmasters, only to the ones who wanted to learn them.

I don’t claim to have a “solution”, and it’s true that homeschooling is not for everyone, but I strongly agree with #39’s point that kids would be better off staying home — alone, doing [nothing] or even watching unlimited amounts of hard-core porn (I actually know a homeschool family who allowed their boys to do that) — rather than going to public school. The schools don’t “socialize” the kids. They promote sociopathy.

Regarding time constraints, we were able to accomplish more on Monday, casually before lunch, than public schools could do in a WEEK. Keep in mind that the schools just babysit anyhow. Any teaching is performed by the parents, after dinner, when they’re already exhausted from their regular, full-time jobs.

Diversity and multiculturalism destroys cultures, societies and entire countries. Without major alterations within the USA, that can only be done via a Revolutionary War Two, the USA is doomed and will swirl down the drain of destruction until the New World Order takes full control and the overlords unleash their well-armed lackeys to force the entirety of the populace to obey the masters . . . or else.

Abolish_public_education————Even if the child goes to a government school, grandparents can supplement their education. My 10 year old granddaughter reads at about a 10th grade level thanks to my time and McGuffey Reader. She has also been laid to sleep with bible stories, and many old fashioned,i.e. literate, fairy tales..This summer both of us are going to try and learn Spanish. P.S. Teaching Christianity, morality, and WHITE world view is more important than instilling random facts. If you don’t program them Hollywood and the Government will.

You know there was a time in this great nation when such school board members would have had to leave their towns, due to fear of attack or worse. Where are the white human parents of the white kids? Why are the school board members not fleeing for their safety?

Sure what grandparents don’t want to spend twelve or more years of their retirement years teaching children. LOL

My wife does exactly that. She loves it. The grandchildren are ridiculously far ahead of their government skoo only peers.

The downside is, the grandkids are told that they are a product of racism for having a level knowledge that their classmates won’t achieve for years (if ever).

Spending twelve or more years educating your grandchildren is more than Helping raise them.

Yeah, I like the reverse psychology think on this one..!!

Christian schools can be just as bad as any public school. I used to think differently until I saw a copy of the student newspaper for Georgetown Visitation, a Catholic high school on the fashionable west side of DC for girls from well to do families. The student newspaper carried stories about the girls supporting gun control (in reality disarming law-abiding white people) and BLM. And this was after two girls from the school were robbed at gun point, in broad daylight not far from their school, of their Smartphones by a young orc.

I doubt there is a single race realist in the entire school. Everyone is in complete denial.

“Veliz argued that the student’s culture teaches that stealing is permitted.”
In general, I don’t believe this. Yes, there are families, cultures that believe stealing is virtuous (depending possiblely on who the victim is).
But, this does not say that they believe stealing is “permitted”. Quite the opposite — “theft is a virtue” implies the existing knowledge that it is NOT “permitted”. If you steal then you KNOW is not permitted.
Only a culture completely divorced from the larger 1st world culture could believe theft is permitted. (even many tribal cultures had rules on personal property & it’s difference from taking from nature)
I suspect there are very, very few people in the US who actually believe theft is “permitted ”

  74. @Observator

Public “education” was never about teaching working class children practical life skills like critical thinking. Its primary purpose is to make sure the square pegs fit in the round holes that the owner class has readied for them in its wealth extraction machine. ”
    You are quite correct.
But in the beginning they also had a more basic requirement — they simply wanted all these Prole kids off the streets. Little bastards got up to no end of no-good.
The (fictional) “artful dodger” is an example of what the authorities wanted to stamp out .

quit whining whitey, this a reversal of “punish black/brown to the max; slap on the wrist or no punishment for whites” that been happening for decades, if not, centuries. in other words shoe is on the other foot.
