For example, in the late 1960s the 82d Airborne Division had so many blacks that its distinctive AA patch was jokingly referred to as the All Afro instead of All American. They already think they’re morally superior because of their own perceived status as “holy, sacred martyrs and victims of slavery.” Additionally, many are atrociously ignorant of the history of slavery and don’t realize their own people enslaved and sold them- they think that they were bopping along in a jungle paradise full of love and brotherhood when the evil white man raided the interior of Africa and captured and sold them.

I remember watching two documentaries which I found rather interesting. In one, the black (female) descendant of the black owner of a slave fort on the coast of Africa speaks of how black Americans will visit the fort and when they learn the horrible truth that they were captured and sold by their own countrymen, they’ll pound the walls with their fists and scream, “Why?! Why?!” She also points out that whites were not allowed to enter the interior and had treaties with the local chieftains to capture slaves as well as sell those already in black captivity/slavery. In another documentary, the descendants of black slavers resentfully complain that “if not for the white man (ending the slave trade) we’d be rich like our ancestors!” I’ve always thought these two documentaries should be shown to school kids (and everyone else) during Black History Month but doing so would create outrage since it would fly in the face of the popular black myths about slavery. It would destroy their ability to play the morally superior “holy, sacred martyrs and victims” of the evil white man since they were essentially victimized by their own. I’ve mentioned these two documentaries to blacks who were bleating about slavery and all that resulted in was my being called a damn liar. That’s how deep their delusions about slavery are and how deeply ingrained their myths about it are.

That sense of “moral superiority” also exists to the extent that I once had a black woman screech at me because of something I was saying by stating, “You cain’t say dat! You white!” She thought she was the speech police and had the right to determine what someone could say or not say based solely upon their skin color.

I utilize the services of a major medical center for my health conditions as they provide the best medical care for my situation.
As I live a considerable distance from the medical center, I am careful to allow for traffic conditions and generally arrive at the center with time to spare. I consider punctuality to be important and am never late for appointments.
Arriving early for my appointment, the black security guard gave me the third-degree asking me multiple times about where my appointment location was.
I was told that I could not enter the facility at that time and would have to wait in a waiting area full of junk which appeared to be a storage room or outside in sub-freezing weather.
The security guard was a black female.
While I was waiting, I observed this same security guard allow a number of blacks to enter the facility without questioning them at all about their destination.
This infuriated me, so I went up to the security guard and accused her of racism. It is obvious that she had never been called “racist” before” and demanded that I wait outside. She called her supervisor, who was a black retired police officer. To his credit, he was cordial and professional and after hearing my explanation did allow me to go to my appointment location.
Someone must have gotten the message. Currently, when I arrive for my scheduled appointments, I am treated cordially and always allowed to proceed to my appointment location without delay.

Now is as good a time as any to confess to a teenaged “prank” we pulled, summer of ’84. Myself, brother, a few buddies one was our bass player, and several chick’s were “floatin’ down”.

That was our term for a bunch of over inflated semi tires tied together, A parent would make a few trips to the north end of the Island. A round piece of plywood held the towels, a boom box and tapes, smokes, joints, purses,Mountain Dews in the glass bottle(who remembers those?), you name it.

The percentage of blacks in the 82d varied from one unit to another and certain units certainly had more than their share, such as a battalion of the 325th Infantry in the division’s 2d Brigade. I first heard of it from a former SF captain who was at Fort Bragg at the time in the 6th Special Forces Group (Airborne). (The 6th was reflagged as the 5th when the latter returned from Vietnam.) Others later confirmed it. Ask someone who was there at the time and he’ll confirm it.

On the bus ride to Bragg, I found out what Green Berets did and what happens to SF dropouts: they go to the Eighty-Second Airborne Division. The old AA–All American. I also learned that the Eighty-Second was predominantly black. At Bragg they were called Mambuzi Rifles or the African Airborne. AA means Airborne.

AA actually means All American. During the First World War, when the 82d was a mobilized infantry division from the Reserve, it had someone from every state in the Union, so all of the American states were represented, hence the nickname “All American.” Members of the 82d are sometimes referred to as the All Americans.

There are many Airborne units but only one is known as the All Americans.

I don’t recall a single black present.

The chapters of the 82d Airborne Division are social clubs and like just about every other social club, they tend to be populated by those who want to be around others like them. (Full disclosure: I too am a member of the division association, as membership is open to anyone who served in any Airborne unit, not just the 82d.) Blacks hang out with blacks, whites hang out with whites, etc. Other than members of the WW II all-black 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion, who are mostly gone now, you just wouldn’t see too many blacks at unit reunions. It’s not something they typically do. Before the Covid hysteria arrived, I attended the reunion of an Army Reserve SF group and there were some blacks in attendance, but not many.

Several decades ago an editorial in a South Carolina newspaper stated that churches are the last bastions of segregation, and that was true. (A white female member of my unit was invited by a black female unit member to attend her church one Sunday morning and later she told me about the looks she received. Definitely the skunk at the picnic.) People tend to go with their own, whether it’s at church or a reunion.

Good from afar but far from good.

My ex was an ICU nurse (she worked at many different hospitals, but it was always the same deal) and used to say the exact same thing about having to deal with black patients and their families who treat a hospital stay like they are at a 5 Star resort. Hanging out in the room/hallway all day, people coming and going, asking for extra food, bringing in meals of fast food, being demanding and rude (acting like they usually do), using the call button for stupid shit, and trying to extend their hospital stay for as long as possible. I always felt sympathy for her having to deal with that all day but would usually get a good chuckle from her stories as well. She often said even the black nurses didn’t want to deal with black patients, just like black waiters/waitresses don’t like dealing with black customers (Canadians in restaurant speak).

A big part of this problem is due to Covid wrecking the cruise industry, which has a narrow profit margin due to a huge amount of operating costs. Cruise lines were practically giving cruises away once the pandemic restrictions were lifted, just to get people on board, where they can make money charging for extras. Companies like Carnival sell drink & meal packages, plus shore excursions, which is why the cabin rates are low (similar to how Vegas is, cheap flights, hotel packages, etc). Unfortunately this attracts the lowest common denominator, which leads to brawl videos.

If anyone wants to go on a cruise, I suggest booking on a higher end cruise line like Regent, or Viking, they cater to a more upscale, older crowd, and have less orc friendly amenities like discos, and all you can eat buffets, plus the ships are smaller, so you’re not stuck with 3500 other people who want to use the pool or facilities.

My immediate response to “what choo gots to eat?” would be, “This is a hospital- not a restaurant. If you want food, you can purchase it in the hospital cafeteria the same as everyone else does except for patients.” If they chimped, I’d have security throw their butts out of the hospital and limit them to only one visitor at a time. Of course, staff would be instructed to document everything and any camera footage available from the common areas would be additional evidence especially if they got belligerent and aggressive, made threats or even attacked the staff. In that case, I’d have them arrested for disturbing the peace, making “terroristic threats”, assault and battery, interfering with the operation of the hospital, and whatever other charges could be tacked on.

Oh well. As they say, prevention is better than cure. Groids being what they are, it would be best to limit them to one visitor at a time to reduce the potential for them turning the situation into a mall brawl or typical fast food restaurant chimpout.

Yes, I realize hospital admin would rather coddle them in order to prevent just such a chimpout but that kind of enabling only encourages the chimps to behave like the uncivilized shitasses that they are. At some point, people are going to have to make a stand, put their foot down and shock the monkey with zero tolerance for their bullshit.

Sick n’ Tired————-My RN wife had 2 black coworkers on her shift who would ALWAYS do rock/scissors/paper when it came time to admit a black patient. Black patients were always more time consuming to care for.

I knew a few guys who were in the 82nd that were Vietnam vets, but none ever mentioned an overwhelming black presence. I knew a black soldier who transferred out of the 82nd because he said that many of the blacks there were homosexuals and it was too much for him to handle, but that was in the early 1980s.

When I was a kid, I used to fish at a public pond that was stocked mostly with carp, bluegill/sunfish, and catfish or bullhead type fish. The carp were usually the biggest fish one could catch.

One of the things I remember is that blacks would grill and eat their carp right by the side of the pond.

The other thing is that the blacks would steal my tackle.

And people question why blacks weren’t allowed in white hospitals decades ago! Currently, hospitals like the one mentioned would be better off if they banned both blacks and libtards- especially in any administrative capacity where they can affect policy.
