For in a city where progressivism dominates the thinking of those architects of bail reform, a black man was just busted for assault and set free, then beat two random women of undetermined race, arrested, and cut loose again. A homeless man charged with beating a guy last year was dumped back on the street thanks to so-called bail reform, only to allegedly pummel two women in Upper West Side attacks Thursday — and be freed again.
Darrell Johnson, 23, left one of his random female victims so brutally beaten that she suffered a “disfiguring laceration” to her face, law-enforcement sources told The Post on Monday.
Last year, Johnson — who has more than a dozen arrests on his rap sheet dating to 2014, according to sources — was hit with assault and harassment charges in the man’s beatdown.
He allegedly punched his victim “about the face with a closed fist multiple times” in a Harlem building, according to a court complaint.
Johnson then allegedly “used his feet to kick and stomp” the man in the Aug. 3, 2020, attack.
But a Manhattan judge had to release him without bail because none of the charges were eligible for the restriction under revamped state laws. Before the laws were changed, judges could use their discretion on setting bail.
Then with that case still pending, Johnson was back on the street — where he allegedly approached a 50-year-old woman at Broadway and West 79th Street in Manhattan around 9:20 a.m. Thursday and assaulted her in a “violent, unprovoked” attack, sources said.
The victim was so brutally beaten that sources said she suffered a “disfiguring laceration” to her face in the attack.
Just three minutes later, Johnson allegedly assaulted another woman a block away.
In that incident, court records allege that Johnson walked up to the 32-year-old victim on West 80th Street and began punching her in the face, causing “redness and swelling,” according to the complaint.
Both women were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
In court Friday, Manhattan prosecutors recommended that Johnson be released under supervised monitoring for the attacks on the women, a request the judge granted.
A rep for the DA’s office said none of the charges were harsh enough to allow the judge to order Johnson held on bail.
Basically, it’s legal for black criminals to assault women in New York City and immediately get out of jail.

Bail reform is nothing new. The issue is that too many accused criminals, it seems, are abusing their right to be let out, e.g. by quickly getting back into trouble. The solution is swift justice.
Someone charged with a true crime (sorry, unpaid tickets doesn’t count) should be put on trial immediately, but for the fact that he is entitled to sufficient time (out of jail) to [help] mount an adequate, legal defense. A bailor who subsequently (allegedly) commits another crime demonstrates contempt for the process. An administrative judge should revoke bail and order an immediate trial (for the first offense). Strongly incentivize the defendant to focus his energies on resolving the case.
Maybe this turd being released isn’t such a bad thing after all. If he’s lo ked up in jail he’s “protected”.
Hopefully the one that got beat badly has a male relative that will do the right thing….if you get my drift.
I check CWBChicago.com, as recommended by someone here. Chicago has the same problem. It is frightening the number of criminals released through the revolving door daily, only to escalate and commit more serious offenses as soon as released.

Most of them, he stated, don’t mind being controlled and told what to do. They have no problem with loons like De Blasio or Cuomo when he was around.

I already did and have never been happier. Part of my story is that I was in the military until I got injured in 2006. I got out and went to my hometown like so many others. However my town in Metro Detroit was by 2006 unrecognizable. The mall just down the street used to have a great arcade where I spent many hours as a kid was now turned into a police substation to monitor the roving gangs of angry male negros the city was now welcoming. When I was growing up blacks were not allowed to hang out in our city and had to stay in Detroit unofficially. My last straw is when a negro was going beserk next door because the coal burning skank broke up with him. I subdued him with my FN P90 until the cops showed up. The cops arrested him but were way more concerned that I might have called him the magic N word when I stopped him beating on his ex hoe. I was harassed by detectives a number of times trying to get me to admit I called him the N word (for the record I did call him the N word and am not ashamed of it).
It was around this time I sold my car and most large possessions, moved to Asia with a full shipping container into a subdivision that was nicer than my one in Michigan. I have now been here just over 10 years and now 45 years old. Every time I have to visit Michigan because of family is a nightmare and the city is just getting worse but my surviving parent still stubbornly refuses to move and expects me to care for them instead of living in Asia with my beautiful Wife and 3 wonderful kids.
The time to leave the cities was years ago, America is now %100 evil and not worth trying to save. The laws about bail are there for a reason. The negroe primate cries that he cant get out of da jail cause he dont have no money. The problem being that if the negroe and his family are not working, how are they living? For the few that actually get arrested no money bail allows them to continue their crime spree until their court date, for which they will not appear. The negroe has a genetic propensity for avoiding employment, and engaging in criminal behavior, this is why most humans will not live in their primate habitats, (neighborhoods). When chain restraunts open in a black area, after they get robbed five or six times, they decide to close up. Then the negro primate screams that discrimination is the problem, cause they now have a food dessert where they live. I’ve done a lot of work in high end and midrange gated communities all over S. Florida for 15 years. 85% of the time the person working at the guard gate is a black man or woman. Occasionally you’d get some old timer who was probably a retired cop, or a few college age white guys who use the down time to study while at work (I had a friend who did this while going to school). Only at really exclusive communities in places around Jupiter and Boca were the guards armed, fit, younger white men who looked like either ex-military or recently retired cops.
