D.C. is run by blacks and the PD is probably majority black, so I’m surprised at the number of blacks arrested. When blacks run things, they tend to let “their own” slide. And, that black sergeant is one brave gal. She should be the Chief.

The “news media” openly lie, as editors, owners and reporters systematically dismantle the very basis anyone ever tuned into their offering. Physicians promote treatments that are often so bad, costly and useless that medical misadventure is at least the 3rd most frequent cause of death.

The era of Big Government is like the Age of Dinosaurs. Globalism is failing (it was always a disaster waiting to happen, and destructive to communities everywhere) and the nation-state will fail. Big cities are failing.

As someone who worked in the business I can tell you that down grading crime has been going on for decades because low crime rates make the mayor look good, the chief look good, all of the upper brass look good. Thefts become lost property, burglaries are damage to property, robberies become simple thefts etc. I have seen a case in which a person was shot in the leg and the incident was called a simple assault. Rape cases knocked down to simple battery and on and on. It is disgraceful the way crime statistics are manipulated to appease the powers to be. I’m not even going to comment on the rate of arrest of negroes vs whites, it’s a exercise in futility.

This behavior isn’t limited to MPD. I worked for a large agency in the SE for over a decade. The Lts and Capts had no spine and would get berated over crime happening. The chief really believed all crime could be stopped and at the weekly meeting made that known. Watching the peacocks stop strutting when they had to report to the boss that, gasp, they had a robbery the past weekend was laughable. It was insanity. Armed robberies involving lower class people would be simply not reported and people told to take a walk. Same with drug rips. Say what you will, but this only encouraged offenders. Druggy got raped? Cost of doing business sweetheart, heres a cigarette. A guy beaten who eventually died? That is an assault and prob natural death. Burglary? Nah thats a theft from a building and trespassing report Unless you could make an arrest. Keep those numbers low to keep your spot! I popped smoke and got out of Dodge.

The black crime rate is indeed greatly understated. FBI stats show blacks commit over 50% of all murders in America though just 12% of the population. But when you also take into consideration the extremely high number of ghetto murders that go unsolved and are not reflected in the numbers, it is easy to assume that blacks commit as much as 75-85% of all murders.

The above quote from this article, and some comments posted in response to this article, reminded of a situation I saw when I was in the military years ago. Back then we referred to it as “pencil whipping”. It most likely still exists, but may go by a different description. One example of this was when someone of higher rank than I told me that when writing a performance review of someone to rate them as “outstanding”. When I questioned this they replied by saying if you did not rate someone as “outstanding” that would reflect back on you. Well, sorry about that. I wrote a written report on someone and ripped them a new one, and had no concern of it reflecting back on me. They screwed up, and did that all on their own. This helped me to see more clearly how socialist/communist the military community is. There is no room for individuals, anyone who thinks for themselves. You are expected to be a part of a unit, a part of a machine, and function accordingly. Definitely not my thing. When I began to notice things I would ask questions, and saw the answers did not add up very well. Then I became suspicious of the whole thing.

Kersey, allow me to point out to you what is common knowledge: charges are reduced all the time in exchange for a guilty plea from the defendant — this is known as a plea bargain, and is general practice — in fact, it is so general, it no doubt happens literally hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of times across the country every year, including for many serious violent crimes.

Here is what Wikipedia says about the practice:

It is no trouble at all to find countless instances of plea bargains in serious criminal cases, e.g. here is a story about Suge Knight:

The Death Row Records co-founder … agreed to serve 28 years in prison.

What’s being reported on here is the downgrading of crimes at the point of reporting. This affects FBI UCR and MPD Crime Analysis statistics.
If a robbery is committed, the police report of the event should reflect a robbery – even if the suspect is later charged with a lesser offense or allowed to plead down at some point.
We are taking about the creation of the record of the event at the time police take the report. These are (and have been for decades) falsely downgraded to give a false sense of lower crime among certain populations.

For certain crimes they also won’t even bother sending the police.

My wife called in a Black guy breaking into a car in broad daylight. The responder was annoyed and told her it was an insurance matter.

So smashing a window and taking a bag isn’t a crime for the police to investigate.

Try doing that in a small town and see what happens.

The other tactic they use is to make calling 911 a huge annoyance. I’ve called in shots fired and regretted doing it because the responder was being so obstinate. In the city you learn to just ignore a lot and move on.

For years I’ve suspected this was going on and now I’m glad someone on the inside has pointed out the obvious. I’ve been listening to liberals prattle about how “crime has been going down” but I just haven’t been seeing the decrease. Now it has been confirmed that the “decrease” was due to pencil-whipping and lies.

I recall an article in a New York publication from a number of years ago about how NY City police were making the crime rate go down. There were downgrading crimes from felonies to misdeameanors or just not documenting them at all. In some cases they’d go to the homes of victims and browbeat them into dropping the charges. The end result was the illusion that “crime was going down.”

At each city that pulls this scam, the mayor and the chief of police take credit for the “success” of their policies that made their cities safer. Meanwhile the rest of us wonder why we just don’t see any changes for the better.

I can see why dishonest government officials do this. If you tell the truth about your city (while other city officials continue to lie), you run the risk of losing tourist dollars, businesses moving out of town, depressed values on homes (affecting property tax revenues), etc. Better to lie and let citizens take the risk than tell the truth and lose revenue.

Unfortunately for them, I’m just not buying what they’re selling.

Maybe we are better off as some of these institutions are dismantled.

For instance, I think the slow winding down of airline travel will give us a breathing space from some of the third world mass emigration entering our country now. They simply won’t be able to cross the oceans so easily to get here.

Also stopping the federal government from handing out food stamps, Section 8 housing vouchers, free medical care and interfering in local schools might send some people packing as the gravy train slowly dries up. At least they won’t be able to bring the dozen or so assorted relatives over here to batten off the local population anymore.
