A cop stops to assist a broken down motorist and provide some warning to traffic that a tow truck is operating and as a result gets killed by a useless leech of society. Most crime committed by Blacks is against other Blacks — so a black man with no criminal history, who nonetheless lives around a lot of other blacks (most do), may want to carry a weapon for the same reason a white person may want to carry a weapon: as protection against criminals, a disproportionate number of whom are black.

To say the least/state the obvious, Blacks are significantly more prone to senseless, sudden violence than Whites — so if it turns out that an argument over towing and towing costs escalated, and this guy did pull a gun and start shooting, I won’t be at all surprised — still, as I said, as a reason to open fire on a cop it does not make much sense, especially considering he had no criminal history (? — I wonder about that).
