Ever been to a farmer’s market to buy products directly from those who produce the fruit/vegetables/eggs? Every donated to a food kitchen to help underprivileged individuals?

You are a white supremacist. [Duke University researchers say farmer’s markets, food charity part of ‘white supremacy culture’, MSN.com, December 3, 2021]:

A lecture series by Duke University researchers focuses on a racial framework to food issues, claiming elements such as foodcharity and farmer’s markets are part of “white supremacist” food culture.

The lecture, broadcast online as a webinar and provided at a Washington State University summit, places race as the most prominent factor in issues of food scarcity and how society attempts to resolve it. Jennifer Zuckerman and Alison Conrad, both white, of the Duke University World Food Policy Center claim that “whiteness” has shaped every part of food culture, even labeling “good” and “bad” foods as an expression of racial power dynamics.

Unlike other areas of racial discourse such as workplace dynamics or education which derive mainly from social science, food and nutrition can derive from a more strictly scientific foundation. Zuckerman and Conrad’s research is entirely based on a cultural framework and does not touch on any potential scientific understanding or interpretation of nutrition that might help discuss the topic.

Some of the written material focuses on economic factors, such as land ownership and access to capital as limiting factors, but Zuckerman during the webinar mainly discussed economic impact by discussing how during philanthropic work she allocated funding to “best practice” methods such as “mobile produce markets,” which she said was a mistake. She did not touch on how a farmer’s market, for example, might provide access to foods to people of all backgrounds in a city where access or ability to grow food is limited or virtually non-existent.

Zuckerman defined “White Supremacy Culture” as the idea that white people and their ideas, thoughts, beliefs and actions are “inherently superior” to those of people of color. She insists that this has been “reproduced by all the institutions of our society.”

“Everyone in the United States is impacted by White Supremacy Culture,” Zuckerman stated during the webinar. She insisted that it is an “adaptive” framework, creating the potential to shift what the “culture” includes as time passes.

Zuckerman and Conrad also apply the racial framework to any effort to combat issues such as food scarcity: They redefine the commonly-discussed “food desert” issue as “food apartheid,” again using controversial language when discussing their ideas.

They argue that food charity creates “narratives” that minority communities “can’t take care of themselves” and need help. Particularly, the “mobile produce market” is “white-led” and takes advantage of “majority BIPOC neighborhoods,” creating greater dependence on “white-led institutions.”

The research and lecture are not new: Conrad discussed the approach and framework on a podcast in Oct. 2020 called “8 Ways White Bias Can Misdirect Food System Work.”

If you don’t realize the phrases “white supremacy,” or “racist” have no meaning anymore, right?

Go to a farmer’s market as soon as you can to help out your local farmers, and engage in some racial sedition.

  1. The local ABC news station is still asking for donations for Toys for Tots. They were at the facility where volunteers sorted the toys, it was a sea of white, then they interviewed recipients, it was a sea of black. Stop giving to charity, whites don’t benefit.

Well, I guess they’re right. Please make sure to support your local farmers and give your business to people whose skin tone is closer to yours than black. And do all in your power to refrain from charitable food giving. I mean, you wouldn’t want to be responsible for something like the African continent being fed, clothed and housed would you?

Somebody needs to tell this “professor” that she is correct. Blacks cannot take care of themselves. Several years ago they kicked all of the white farmers out of Zimbabwe and the natives took over their farms. Two years later the government had to beg the whites to come back and take their farms back over because the natives couldn’t figure it out. This isn’t because if white racism. It’s simple science and the fact that blacks occupy a permanent spot on the wrong side of the bell curve. Whites are inherently charitable and without that charity the black would have starved itself into extinction centuries ago. Maybe it’s time for that charity to come to an end.

  20. Richard Nixon’s Secretary of Agriculture, Earl Butz, reportedly said that we could get global population growth under control by simply not growing extra food in the first place. Instead we’ve made heroes out of the white enablers of stuffing the world with useless diversity trash, like the plant geneticist Norman Borlaug.

Frankly I see some merit in Butz’s idea. We need to figure out some nonobvious ways to cut back on black Americans’ food supplies, and stopping donations to food banks would work towards that goal.

  21. Zuckerman defined “White Supremacy Culture” as the idea that white people and their ideas, thoughts, beliefs and actions are “inherently superior” to those of people of color. She insists that this has been “reproduced by all the institutions of our society.”

“White Supremacy” really means “White Competency,” in other words.

Just like Jewish intellectuals can’t help themselves with their inadvertent compliments towards us white people with their phrase, “Critical Race Theory.” The English word critical has several meanings, including indispensable and vital, so I advocate taking the phrase away from our adversaries by proudly calling us white people the Critical Race.

  22. Look at any news footage showing a food bank handing out donated food, and look at the people getting the boxes of food. In S. Florida it was pretty much all obese black women driving newer cars & high end SUVs full of chillrin’. So not only are we feeding them thru welfare, now they are taking donations from good hearted people.

As another poster has said on here before, if you’re going to donate food or money, it’s best to give directly to someone you know who needs it. Send an anonymous letter with some money in it to a family in need, volunteer at an animal shelter, bring food/some cooked meals to an elderly couple, find people to help thru friends & family, rather than just donating to some non-profit that’s going to squander the money on administrative fees, or give it away to undeserving parasites.

To many all white people are rich, live in gated communities and oppress all BIPOCS and no BIPOC has ever harmed or done anything to white people ever or if so they deserved it somehow because of privilege. We should look at society from a monetary perspective. Poor people of any colour need help. All people need opportunities to succeed bt what I think is needed is to have a planning class in high school to figure out what you want to do, what best suites your abilities and how to get there. After 12th grade it seems your just thrust out into the world where in reality you have yet to make any important decisions until that moment for most people. This course would help a lot of people. It could also talk about finances, careers and options for education…

  44. @Sick 'n Tired

I was acquainted with a left-wing, politically connected person who owned the local food bank. Nice house, exclusive private schools for the kids, etc. I believe that some withdrawal’ers are immigrant merchants who put the canned goods on the shelves of their own stores, for sale at typically high, convenience prices.

I strongly oppose EBT. Beneficiaries use the credit to load up on junk food. Big picture, EBT enriches the big makers of cereal, snack/candy, crap meats, and so forth, i.e. corporate welfare. Also, reduced price (free!) school lunches shovel tax dollars to Big Ag. (The political sales pitch, e.g. “hungry kids can’t learn”, is a bunch of crap: Most “unfed” kids have deliberately skipped the junk, processed meals served at home in favor of fast-food sold near the school. Besides, the skoolz can’t teach the kids whether they’re fed or not.)

Bigger picture: Government handouts, to those who meet the bureaucratic standard of being “low income”, boost demand by consumers at the low end of the economic spectrum, i.e. puts upward pressure on prices. This makes it harder for honest people at the margin, who are heroically struggling to support themselves, to do so.

This is part of what I love about living where I do.

There’s a place called Stuart Island in Puget Sound, which I had the fortune to visit some years ago.  One of the things I found there was an unmanned stand selling postcards and other merchandise.  It even had envelopes for patrons to mail their payments when they got home again.

It appeared to be profitable, because everyone who went there was White.  I still have the oilcloth ballcap I bought there.

    African’ts are a plague.

  47. @Female in Fl

It’s actually a marketing technique that these charities use, to typically show a poor White child or White family in their ads. This is different than we see in other ads nowadays with minorities galore, but they do this because studies show White people donate more when they see other White’s in ads; whether subconsciously or not.

I haven’t donated to charities ever, because very early on I saw exactly who 99% of the recipients were… not down on their luck blue collar Whites, it was the black system grifters with their ungrateful paws out for free stuff. In any city with a black community, any coats for kids or toys for tots is going to be going straight to the black community.

The Salvation Army recently said that in addition to their donations, that White people should also atone for their racism; so they slap you in the face as you give them your dollars! They recently rescinded that statement because many Whites stopped donating. I’m guessing the woke Salvations Army numbers are going to be wayyyy down this year! President Potato Head will probably bail them out though for pushing the narrative.

  50. 99% of these “farmers’ markets” are total scams; file under “Stuff White People Like.” The prices are often higher and the quality lower. Anyone can drive his van into his city’s wholesale produce market and load up with fruits and veggies. Often, he’s getting left-over’s from what the supermarkets in the area have ordered; the distributors have surplus trucked in to allow for spoilage. The wholesalers have to sell this stuff or it goes in the dumpster. The only “farmers’ markets” I’ve shopped in that looked halfway legit were in HI and PR. In Hilo, HI, I at least knew the bananas were locally grown. In PR, about half the produce sold on the island is grown in the Dominican Republic. PR’s have become too spoiled by the US welfare system to work the farms anymore. If you’re buying Cavendish bananas from Costa Rica in your town’s “farmers’ market” you’re buying a fraud.

  51. When will our side come up with legislation making ‘hate hoaxes’ into ‘hate crimes’? That’s the only way to end this epidemic of ‘hate miracle’ sightings. The thing is the perpetrators are charged only with false reporting. But their so-called ‘hoaxes’ are acts of defamation against particular communities. Blacks intended to smear whites. Jews intend to smear goyim, esp white Christians. Homos intend to smear straights.

Who has the guts to make ‘hate hoaxes’ into ‘hate crimes’? Well, don’t bank on it because the GOP lacks the guts to do anything about Antifa. Even when Trump and GOP had white house and Congress, nothing was done… lest they offend the precious feelings of the Glob Elites.

Anyway, if ‘hate hoaxes’ are made into ‘hate crimes’ with stiff penalties, I guarantee ‘hate hoaxes’ will vanish like UFO sightings that were once vogue.

Funny – about 50 years ago, my father told me a story of an electrical appliance shop in NYC, which dealt with refrigerators (amongst other things.)

Local sales always involved a “trade-in”, an old, broken down and completely useless fridge. To get rid of these, it was an expensive process – all doors had to be removed (because of children climbing in them) and landfill fees because of their size. Transport to landfill sites was increasingly more expensive as the sites radiated out of the city – and so on.

The enterprising appliance store owner found the ultimate solution – he lined up the old fridges on the sidewalk, with signs taped to them: “”FOR SALE! \$100 ONLY!

    They were all promptly stolen…

When I was in attendance (in public HS in the USA), the voc-ed students in construction would build a house each summer.  I can’t see many ways of being more practical than that.  Of course, this was a while ago; auto and metal shop classes have been driven out of existence by suit-happy lawyers, so now interested students have to attend something like a community college on their own dime instead of getting those skills for their parents’ property taxes.

  75. @Bite Moi

    Learn to appreciate kimchi.

Oh, believe me, I do.  I just can’t find anything decent around here; what’s on the shelves is way too under-spiced to the point that I can’t even taste the cayenne.

Sometimes I really miss living in a major metro area.  Or I have to start making my own.

Hmmm.  Farmer’s markets, kimchi… I haz an idea.

  76. @Dr. X

That’s 100% true, of course. And I am perfectly happy with white culture. If Ms. Zuckerman doesn’t like it, then I invite her to emigrate to Uganda. Perhaps she will enjoy living in a grass hut and eating bush meat more than lecturing at Duke.

Odds are she already has experience eating bush meat.

  77. @mojoincc

“White supremacy” is just a strawman for the left. We’re not in a race war. We’re in a class war.

I like the underlying assumption of the modern left which is that Whites need to take up class war on behalf of Blacks while pretending that race doesn’t exist.

White leftists seem to have zero expectation that Blacks will start organizing along class lines.

Their hope of class war is in indoctrinating White students into doing all the work.

They may talk about the value of diversity but that is where they focus their efforts.

If the left TRULY cared about labor they would just admit that race exists and then ask Whites nicely to help them deal with rapacious capitalism. This would also mean admitting that White men are in fact not the devil and useful to any political organization.

Of course they would rather drink battery acid than go that route.

Of course Black folks farm. You just haven’t heard of the “I Had A Dream” method of agriculture.

    It goes like this:

I had a dream about growing some tomatoes in a five gallon bucket, but when I went to see the White racist USDA crop loan officer, he wouldn’t loan me no money.

Then I had three bountiful Pigford cash crops, but I had to split deh take wid deh nigga preacher at deh church. Sort of like deh sharecroppers.

Several years ago they kicked all of the white farmers out of Zimbabwe and the natives took over their farms. Two years later the government had to beg the whites to come back and take their farms back over because the natives couldn’t figure it out.

Of course, nowadays it appears that any news of Zimbabwe’s recovery has been heavily “Colorized”

I was curious to see what kind of state Zimbabwe is in nowadays, and found this article: https://www.un.org/africarenewal/magazine/september-2021/zimbabwean-young-farmers-lead-charge-agriculture

From the headline, most of the text, and all of the pictures, you would think the magical negro is behind all this. They do mention that some White farmers have been lured back, and given 99 year leases and some form of “security”, but that aspect is downplayed considerably.

I think the lead-in pic pretty much says it all, of the groid kicked back, relaxing in the pile of corn. Hands behind his head, smug expression on his face. Almost as if he’s saying “Sucks muh dikk, Whitey!”

They certainly love to grandstand, show off, act like they’re God’s gift to humanity, etc. But, in the end, how much of this supposed turnaround is thanks to Whitey?

  86. White farmers have been lured back, and given 99 year leases and some form of “security”

Moving back to Zimbabwe is insane for white people–a million year lease is only as good as the next anti-white racist regime that takes power and decides whites need to be the food coloring ingredient for the new Soylent Green factory.

    • Agree: anarchyst
  87. Zuckerman and Conrad also apply the racial framework to any effort to combat issues such as food scarcity…

Out my way, food scarcity is usually correlated to effort scarcity.

  88. @Mr. Rational

Go to a farmer’s market as soon as you can to help out your local farmers, and engage in some racial sedition

    .

Last week, I went to a local place to buy a few hundred pounds of shell corn for our ducks. I chatted with the lady who runs the produce stand out front of her family’s farm. I’ve been buying sweet corn and other stuff that isn’t practical for my wife and me to grow for years.

She complimented me on my “FJB” ball cap.

‘The local ABC news station is still asking for donations for Toys for Tots. They were at the facility where volunteers sorted the toys, it was a sea of white, then they interviewed recipients, it was a sea of black. Stop giving to charity, whites don’t benefit.’

It depends where and what. Here, which is only 0.3% black and rather poor, there are a lot of rather stubborn old people who will keep living on their own. I give a hundred bucks each year to ‘meals on wheels,’ which drops off food so that at least they don’t starve.

Other young farmers are applying innovative techniques in farming. Milton Zhakata, 36, is mixing Boer goats, originally from neighbouring South Africa, with native goats.

“Boer goats are prolific breeders. The mother has a superb nurturing ability to ensure few offspring die”.

  99. In any town with a sizeable enough population of blacks any program such as Toys for Tots etc. will be over-run by blacks seeking handouts. I’m surprised that no one mentioned “Angel Trees” where the names of “needy” kids wanting Christmas presents are put on cards and hung on the trees so people can choose a name and can buy the kid a gift. The putting of names on the cards was apparently discontinued because the names were always something like Tyreek, DaShaun or Shonuffia and her sister Chlamidia and that resulted in people realizing it was just another hoodrat gibsmedat program. No white names and no poor white children benefitting.

As for Toys for Tots, in my town, people have to register for it and can only get toys at one participating location. However, negroes will still try to go to numerous locations to get toys and will throw fits and tantrums when denied.
