In honor of the late Alex Trebek, let’s play a simple version of Jeopardy!.

Only one category, and it’s the $600 choice. Sorry, no chance for a daily double.

Oh, that category? Pulling the Trigger.

Without further adieu, here’s your $600 Pulling the Trigger option:

Responsible for the Safety Task Force to Stop Fatal/nonfatal gun crime in Orlando

Figure it out yet?

No?

Time’s up.

The correct response is “Who is black people.” [New Citizen’s Safety Task Force pledges to take solutions to community gun violence, ClickOrlando.com, November 7, 2020]:

Spread out six feet apart inside the Barnett Park Magic Gymnasium, a group of law enforcement, non-profit, school and community leaders met for Orange County’s first Citizen’s Safety Task Force meeting on Friday.

The group is made up of 30 members who all took a pledge to take on tough topics in relation to recent gun violence in the community. The task force is a result of seven shootings involving teens and children under the age of 17 in recent months. Those shootings led to the murders of Daquane Felix, 3, Denis “Joshua” Atkinson, 14, and Daquarvious Fudge, 14.

In each of these case, Orange County Sheriff John Mina reported they have received only six Crimeline tips or less.

“The community working with the agencies, working with all the parties involved in the process is key,” Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolon said. “We have to make sure we do our part to provide that same message, the right message, especially to our youth.”

Both Mina and Rolon presented reports on the recent crime.

In Mina’s report, he said homicides were up in Orange County by 22%. However, deputies have made 246 gang-related arrests and got more than 1,200 guns off the street.

But right after the presentation, community activist and task force members challenged the law enforcement leaders in conversation on broadly using the term gangs.

“It seemed like the reports were targeting heavily populated African American areas,” said member T.J. Legacy Cole.

“You have to be careful when using that broad scope,” added Michael Scott, with the organization My Brother’s Keeper. “If I hang with the bad guy and you say I’m a gang member, I’m not and you put pictures and tell folks I’m this kind of person and I’m part of the solution –why would I want to communicate with you?”

It took what was supposed to be a procedural meeting to set goals and objectives – into a lively discussion. State Attorney Aramis Ayala said that’s where solutions happen.

“That’s where change happens,” she said.

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings broke up the task force into subcommittees with four main objectives: prevention, intervention, enforcement and prosecution.

He’s given the task force 120 days to set recommendations and actionable goals to fight gun violence.

“We are looking forward to having a detailed plan of action that will look holistically at dealing with reducing gun violence here within our community,” Demings said.

Invariably, when the people are allowed to dictate policy, they’ll immediately question what happens to their community and criticize law enforcement for focusing too much unwanted attention on members of their community.

ORDER IT NOW

This is what sane people do, right? If black individuals collectively engaging in almost all of the gun violence in Orlando make majority black neighborhoods dangerous (and where police dedicate more resources to combatting/stopping gun violence), obviously the goal of the newly created Citizen’s Safety Task Force is to steer law enforcement from doing anything to stop this senseless bloodshed.

Because Black Lives Matter or something, so aggressive police actions to protect innocent black lives is a far bigger crime than locking up black gangbangers shooting other black people in Orlando.

After all, pattern recognition is the greatest sin in 2020 America.

  8. There is no solution to the puzzle of Affican genetics. The best non-blacks can do is to keep orcs contained in their areas,

Lovecraft, famed racist who wrote for a living, lived largely in poverty and wasn’t (as far as we know) charged in a gang-rape. If “Lovecraft Country” is so dangerous it isn’t so for peoples “of color” by whites.

These are gang members, people who do not see reality the same as us. Police departments should encourage public safety by listing addresses of gang members for citizen drive-by practice.

  15. I feel sorry for the police and the law abiding in Orlando. Sounds like that city can’t work on a solution because they can’t be honest and identify the source of the problem. They don’t have a gun problem…they have a black problem and it’s a big one.

On a lighter note…I remember a pair of vicious south-side Chicago gangbangers with the best names ever. Their mother (legally) named them after their favorite dessert: Oranjello and Lemonjello. I’m pretty sure they’re both dead now.

  16. “and Daquarvious Fudge, 14.”….Just wow and how and why would any parent call their child this. This may sound totally inappropriate in todays uber P.C environment but black parents in ‘da hood’ seem to try as hard as possible to come up with the most ridiculously hard-core ‘afro-centric’ names as a form of protest against, the evil of white normal social standards. The blacker the better, how dare you challenge my blackness. My son can’t get a job because he has a black name etc

Which leads onto my next point regarding this nonsense…

“If I hang with the bad guy and you say I’m a gang member, I’m not and you put pictures and tell folks I’m this kind of person and I’m part of the solution –why would I want to communicate with you?”

White privilege, which we hear so much about (although rarely Asian privilege etc …and it is basically the same thing) -is the privilege of making sensible ‘decision and life choices.’ For various reasons, it is impossible for young blacks to emulate these life altering decisions, due to numerous socio-economic factors – I will attempt to explain.

1)White teenagers despite legally owning more guns /having access to more guns than blacks choose not to shoot human beings. This is through the choice of not wanting to go to prison for 25 years or more fundamentally not wanting to harm another person.

2)Not getting into ‘beefs’ over silly incidents such as stepping on someones Air Jordans.
3)Not selling drugs or committing crimes to pay for aforementioned Air Jordans

4)Perhaps most importantly, don’t hang around on street corners with gang members and armed criminals. Its not rocket science, its common sense. The excuse of ‘everyone else was doing it’ seems to excuse all crime, in Black neighbourhoods.

Its literally impossible for black kids not to start selling drugs, arm themselves and actively seek out targets to murder, within their own community. What’s really dumb, is that most of them will have witnessed family members, shot dead or put in prison for life, over the same pathetic ‘Beefs’ they now engage in.

Its a ‘Black thang’ -we couldn’t possible understand how a mans pride is so sacred, he is willing to murder to protect it, because someone owed him $20…and didn’t pay. The irony is the desperate pursuit of not being called a ‘Bitch -nigga’, leads to the one place, you are guaranteed to be someone else’s ‘Bitch-nigga’ – Federal Prison.

All excuses for black disfunction, eventually lead back to the presence of black people and the choices they make for themselves and their children. Parents can’t be expected to know what there kids are doing all the time or control them 24/7, but I would have been more scared of my mother finding out I was killing people and selling drugs in our community…than the Police.

Apparently all Black parents have to have ‘The Talk’ with their kids, because the Police are so dangerous and literally hunt down and kill innocent black people for the sheer fun of it. Why then, do blacks engage in activities , where they are guaranteed to come into contact with the police? When they do, they can’t follow simple instructions – like not shooting at them?

Poverty is not excuse as poverty often translates to not having the latest Nikes, Playstations, Weaves, Nails (did) etc. These people are not out stealing food. They are committing heinous acts to walk around with diamond chains and designer clothes.

Poverty doesn’t cause this type of crime, greed and taking the easy way out does. Why work a Saturday job or stay in school when a 15 year old can earn $1000 a week slinging drugs? Because it leads to murder and jail or death. Again, not rocket science.

None of the traditional excuses really provide sufficient reason for the extreme high levels of black violent crime(around the world) Also ,poverty does not cause Black men to rape any more than it does murder, rob, home invade or commit fraud.

Is it also poverty that sees the highest levels of teenage pregnancy, abortion, sexual abuse, obesity and sexual transmitted disease in Black communities? Is all this the fault of white privilege and slavery?

Black people and Black parents need to stop making excuses and admit they have a culture problem with the glamorisation of crime, murder and disfunction, through their music and role models. I understand its hard for kids not be drawn to this phenomena, but that’s where ‘Parents and Family’ come in. Why would you encourage young kids down the same destructive path, that fucked up your own life? Because Blacks don’t want to see other Blacks do better than them?

There seem to be no morals or empathy in these neighbourhoods. These kids slay other kids they know and have grown up with, over the slightest infraction. This leads to me to believe blacks are just wired differently to other races and have a predisposition to extreme violence and tribal behaviour which causes retarded unproductive societies. Just look at Africa…

These community groups are a waste of time and an insult to law enforcement. Wait til they are faced with a 16 year old high on crack and weed pointing a Glock at them, whilst his homie screams ‘Green Light Dat Mother Fucker Daquarvious !’

Round and round we go…Nothing ever changes!

I suspect this is simply another angle to extort money from the city and state with the promise of yet again finding solutions to a solution-less problem, sans 1990’s levels of incarceration rates. In the end a select few that claim ownership of the program will show up after the money starts to arrive in brand new (insert whatever it is they deem symbols of status) everything while the problem festers and probably worsens due to increasing pressure for law enforcement to butt out. When you think about it, it’s brilliant, for the leaders that is, but not so much for the locals that live in the hoods.

  43. OT in Chicongo: I used to love anti-gang ops! I worked on a Gang Team for years. It was a bloody and dirty business but a skilled cop really could make a difference. Stopping a gang war, getting a kidnap victim back and seizing a gang’s dope and guns was satisfying work. However, gang member identification was crucial and without it you’re basically fighting a war blind and with one hand tied behind your back. Without the intel and the solid backing of your department it’s not worth it anymore. I remember a great History Channel show called “Gangland” which covered at least a dozen Chicago street gangs. It showed the gang lifestyles of POC and the dark side of urban culture and I’m guessing this was why it was cancelled in 2010. They could have easily covered another dozen before they ran out of Chicago street gangs to cover.

And for a peek at the dark side of urban life today it looks like this video got leaked before it was censored by the media. Rumor is that this happened in Chicago last weekend. I can’t verify the details but it sure looks like a certain west-side Chicago neighborhood where chaos rules and civilians are on their own. I know Latino and Black gangbangers here love to start vehicles on fire so this could be Humboldt Park (maybe even a few blocks away from where our mayor lives)? Check it out before it gets erased:

  59. The argument I often hear to explain and excuse general Black disfunction is ‘Father Absence’ in the home. This stemmed from ‘marriage to the welfare system’ that encouraged ‘single mother families’ through financial reward after ‘The Great Society’ domestic plans introduced by the Democrats in 1964 – to eliminate poverty and racial injustice.

This is from ‘The Moynihan Report’ which examined the link between black poverty and family structure. It hypothesised that the destruction of the black nuclear family structure would hinder further progress toward economic and political equality. He wasn’t wrong!

“When Moynihan wrote in 1965 on the coming destruction of the black family, the out-of-wedlock birth rate was 25% among blacks. In 1991, 68% of black children were born outside of marriage (where ‘marriage’ is defined with a government-issued license). In 2011, 72% of black babies were born to unmarried mothers. In 2015, 77% of black babies were born to unmarried mothers.”

In 1990, 48.1 percent of all Black families with a single mother in the United States lived below the poverty level. In 2018, that figure had decreased to 27.3 percent.

    Source – https://www.statista.com/statistics/205114/percentage-of-poor-black-families-with-a-female-householder-in-the-us/

Poverty is defined as – ‘ the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money. Absolute poverty or destitution is inability to afford basic human needs, which commonly includes clean and fresh water, nutrition, health care, education, clothing and shelter.’

However I know plenty of people, whose father did not live in the home but were still an active part of their life, saw them every chance they got, always wanted to see them more and ‘brought them up right’.

It seems to be disproportionately Black fathers, who were never in the family home to begin with and make no effort to see their kid. They simply move to the next ‘HO!’ and repeat the process, with zero regard for the mum, kid or society who has to pay for the child.

The Role Model argument only works , where the Dad is a suitable role-model and someone with sufficient common sense and life experience, to raise and advise a child. Obviously this is due in part to the young age of the ‘Baby-daddies’ hooking up with equally young ‘Baby-mommas’ whose main motivation to getting pregnant, is a Welfare cheque and Government sponsorship for life. (or too lazy to work/ did not stay in school so job prospects are limited to min wage etc)

The obvious answer then, is to simply restrict women (of all races) from having children under a certain age til they and proposed partner are deemed ‘responsible’ enough to raise a child. This of course would be a ‘Human Rights’ violation the Left would denounce, even though it would massively benefit not just Blacks but society as a whole.

What about the ‘Human Rights’ of children born into poverty, tax payers who pay for them via welfare and incarceration and the victims of crimes. Not to mention the trillions of dollars wasted on programs to counter this social disfunction, like the main article feature above – with zero effect. With a 77% single mother rate, it could easily be argued a high percentage of these problems are a direct result of unplanned and teenage pregnancies.

Once again the rights of the perpetrators are valued as greater than the victims, so the madness continues. Although not solely a Black problem, the Black community is the most negatively affected by this trend as they have the highest levels of illiteracy, school drop out, std, sexual abuse, violent crime and incarceration.

This again reinforces my earlier point, there is something intrinsic in Black nature that leads to their inequality and social issues, despite the above data etc. We all know the problems, what are the solutions though?

Blacks are praised as creative people but they follow the same stupid life cycles from generation to generation. This shows a lack of character to me, in their too scared to break the mould and would rather suffer, than be the first to make it out and make it work, if nothing else for the sake and benefit of their kids.

Also, seems odd that when there was no ‘Sex Education’ in schools, less teenagers got pregnant than today, where they are directly educated and warned on the repercussions of unplanned pregnancy.

The sad part about the “great society “ is that white people have followed the single mothers right over the cliff. Either through divorce or choosing to be an unmarried mother, parents are short changing their children.

  61. Maybe if we say we’re all going to move to Africa to ‘get away’ from the negroes, they’ll sneak in before us and try to pick the best spots to loot and burn.

Then we’ll just lock the gate!

    Brilliant!

I really like that idea, but in the meantime, I’ll take Poland!

We told them that education and a father at home was good for them … that never worked.

  64. In light of all the shit that went down after the MAGA rally in DC, why would anyone attend an event like that without the minimum of a ASP baton or chemical MACE.

I’m not much of an ‘attender’ but I rarely step out the door without something in my pocket. Baton, fixed blade… something.

The other day, I strolled out completely unarmed to pick up a prescription at my very local, very white pharmacy. Back and forth, trip totaled 15 minutes.

As I stood there in line, there was a commotion off to my right as one of the clerks was trailing three blacks, one tall male and two sows, who were shoplifting. They had already dropped their basket and were heading for the exit which was right past me. The closer they got to freedom, the louder and more vulgar they became.

Luckily, they were eager to get gone before the law arrived but it could have turned into an incident and I was woefully unprepared.

It could have turned violent. They could’ve been armed. It could’ve been a larger, more ‘socially interested’ group looking to spark something.

So, white-suburban lesson learned, for me and I hope for you. Times have changed. So have every place in America. There is no ‘safe haven’ anymore and the chances of being caught out in something you didn’t expect is increasing daily.

Don’t be unarmed. Not for a second.

Jim in Jersey———–Be Prepared!!! A key part of your preparation is the realization that the women in your life will always be unprepared.ALWAYS. You can’t train them to avoid danger. My wife has a concealed carry permit. She carries 15-20 pounds of crap in her huge purses, but that 5 shot snubbie is “just too heavy”. I upgraded the house’s exterior with security screen doors. She doesn’t lock them. Oh wait, she did actually lock them for about a week when the next door neighbor’s house was ransacked.

    Same happened here.

We all swore we heard our front door open and close a few weeks ago. It was evening and we were sitting in the den. I was armed.

We all assumed it was one of the many children in the house. The dogs barked and we waited. No one entered.

By the time I investigated anyone involved would’ve been long gone. I called the one child off-site to see if he had just stopped by and he said ‘no’.

Previously, there was a report that people were seen on a Ring doorbell, peeking in people’s front doors looking for easy car keys.

So this startled everyone. From then on, front door gets locked and you need a key to enter. Back door gets locked after the dogs come in.

Or at least that’s how it was for a week or so. I came home the other day and the front door is unlocked, back door is unlocked.

As you say, to be expected.

Jim in Jersey———-Like teaching pigs to sing. It’s not the fact that women are unable to draw lessons from the experiences of others that bothers me . It’s they can’t even learn from their own experiences. That mostly accounts for why women find themselves married to their 3rd wife beater or 5th alcoholic. It’s all chalked up to “no good men”, random chance, bad luck, etc. Always somebody else’s fault.

Why do you call ‘Biggus Dickus’ a ‘joke’ name? I actually have a wery great fwend named Biggus Dickus…
