Well, it turns out three black males are responsible for the wanton murder of Landry Anglin. They were engaged in a rolling shootout, when one of the bullets they fired struck her as she was inside the presumed safety of her home. Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crime investigators have arrested three suspects believed to have been involved in the shooting death of Landry Anglin on May 1.
The 13-year-old was in a house in the 4500 block of Fairfield Avenue when a stray bullet from a rolling shootout hit her. She was taken to a Shreveport hospital where she died at 2:42 p.m.
SPD was able to identify two suspects, Kenmicchael Ray, 23, and Gavontay Johnson, 28. They obtained warrants for the offense of illegal use of a firearm relating to the investigation. Both suspects fled to Texas, but on May 4, members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force captured Ray and Johnson in Arlington, Texas. They both were then extradited back to Caddo Parish and after a more extensive investigation, SPD was able to obtain another warrant charging Ray with one count of second-degree murder.
On May 7, Keara Russell, 23, of Irving, Texas, was also arrested for failure to report certain felonies and careless operations.
“The Shreveport Police Department would like to thank the community for the tremendous outpour of information. The information that was provided was instrumental in the investigation of this case,” stated SPD in a news release.
KSLA spoke with Landry’s father, Bobby Anglin, about the recent arrests. He said SPD has continued to keep in touch with this family and gave them as much information as possible without jeopardizing the case. Anglin said he feels some relief with the official arrests, but he thinks justice is still a long way off.
“I’m not saying that it brought any closure to us in my family, but it was good. I’ve told everybody that I can talk to that whatever I need to do as a father, as a citizen of this city to help in anyway I can, that I will. But we pray for this city and pray for leadership that will hold people accountable for these actions,” he said.
Now, at least two of the defendants have already made their first appearances in court. However, formal charges have not been filed yet, according to online court records. That should happen in the coming days.
Until we have a frank conversation about gun violence in America, more and more little girls like Landry Anglin will be victims of black people, frankly.

You’ll read stories, past and plenty to come, where this kind of killing happens and the first thing the surviving family members do “in memoriam” of their slain child/husband/father is morally exonerate the killers by expressing (unreciprocated) forgiveness. I have a perfect solution for (nearly most) gun crime. It is not discriminatory or racist. It affects all males who commit crimes with guns. It does not affect law abiding gun owners. Any male who commits a gun crime will be castrated and then imprisoned. Castration should reduce his aggressive tendencies. After prison (unless they are in for life or executed), if the former perp commits another gun crime, after prison, if he is black deport him to Liberia, Africa. If white, Hispanic, of Asian, deport him elsewhere. If a female can legally have an abortion to murder her unborn child, then a male can be castrated to significantly reduce gun crime. This solution will preserve the second amendment rights for law abiding citizens and very significantly reduce gun crime. How does all this apply to any women committing gun crimes? Someone else can figure that out.

And here I am thinking that if you are arrested for a specific reason that is a formal charge, regardless if they are later changed, dropped, or enhanced.
I know that you can be detained but have to be released within a certain timeframe (less than 3 days?) if no charges are filed.
They don’t just lock you up indefinitely then decide what crimes you are guilty of: that is of course unless you were at the capital building on Jan 6th.

Let me tell you what just might work and since its reversible, constitutional. The point of prisons is to keep criminals off the streets so they can’t reoffend. They are also god awful expensive to operate and most inmates come out worse than they went in.
I’ve thought about this for sometime and the only alternative I see isn’t more executions ( ain’t going to happen) or longer sentences. Liberals can’t stomach that but what about just letting prisoner go or just keeping them in army style barracks if they have no family? No guards needed. How can you do that you ask? You blind them!!! Not permanently but insert opaque cataracts in their eyes for the same period of time ( or less) than they would have been imprisoned.
A blind man cannot assault, rob, murder or rape effectively, if at all. Even a 6 foot 6 inch weightlifting ex con is no match for a man who can see if he cannot. He can’t flee or chase, car jack or pick out a Rolex from a Timex in a jewelers display case. He is blind and will stay blind until a court authorizes a licensed opthalmic surgeon to remove those cataracts from his eyes. Until that day comes he is a free man.
