If you just sit back for a second, you can feel the political winds shifting. [76 percent want Biden to consider ‘all possible nominees’ for Supreme Court: poll, The Hill, January 31, 2022]:

The majority of Americans who participated in a new poll want President Bidento consider “all possible nominees” following the president’s commitment to nominate a Black woman to the high court.

An ABC News/Ipsos poll out Sunday showed that 76 percent of Americans wanted the president to consider “all possible nominees” while just 23 percent wanted him to only consider Black women for the nomination.

Fifty-four percent of Democrats agreed that Biden should consider all potential candidates, according to the poll.

The poll was conducted between Jan. 28-29 and included a national sample of 510 adults. It has a margin of error of 4.9 points.

During a ceremony in honor of Justice Stephen Breyer, who will retire at the end of this term following 27 years on the high court, Biden said last week that he would honor his commitment without compromising on the quality of the justice to fill the lifelong role.

“The person I will nominate will be someone with extraordinary qualifications, character, experience and integrity. And that person will be the first Black woman ever nominated to the United States Supreme Court,” Biden said. “It’s long overdue in my view. I made that commitment during the campaign for president, and I will keep that commitment.”

On Sunday, Sen. Dick Durbin(D-Ill.), who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, said that it was too early to consider anyone a frontrunner for the role.

“I think suggesting there’s a front runner or this person is now moving ahead, that’s unfair to all the nominees. This is in the hands of the president as it should be,” Durbin said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

If ever a scenario helped prove the claim of Black-Run America (BRA), it was Biden’s promise to appoint a black woman to SCOTUS.

Consider, only 3.9% of judges sitting on federal courts are African women. Also consider, only 0.8% of partners in US law firms are black women. Why are black women represented five times higher on the federal courts than as partners in law firms, when being employed in the latter would mean far more money, power and prestige, as well as corporations hoping to have diverse representation falling all over themselves to hire these firms on retainer.

If ever a scenario played out demonstrating the absurdity of affirmative action and quotas, it’s Biden’s promise to consider appointing only a black female nominee to SCOTUS.

And 3/4th’s of America stand opposed to this plan.

The winds are shifting. Where they are headed, no one knows.

Big deal. All they have to do now is “claim” they’re vetting all possible candidates, with the intent of choosing a boon regardless. Then everyone will be happy – man, dat nigga must no dat lawbonics to beat out all dem White wymynz.

No matter who the nominee is, I hope the Republicans grow a bit of a spine and have about 10 rape victims lined up ready to testify against them. The democrats have turned the entire nomination process into a 3 ring circus, now it’s time they have a taste of their own medicine; make it so outrageous that it makes a mockery of the system.

Heck, now that I think of it, (insert nominee name here) violated me back in ‘82! “Rooster, show us on the doll where the evil black woman touched you!”

  5. Bite Moi says:

Ar in Illinois——–We all know that the plan to nominate a black woman to the Supreme Court is pandering and Affirmative Action. That said,Joe Biden should check a few more boxes. “She” should either be a black trans-woman Haitian, “of size” or a dwarf.Preferably one who doesn’t speak English.A history of at least petty crime or welfare dependence is also a definite plus.

  6. Since when have they cared about polls? Since when has ANY politician cared about polls? Polls can easily be faked, twisted, or blamed on undesirables.

  7. Kinda puts ol’ Joe’s handlers between a rock and a hard place, doesn’t it?

  8. Anything which diminishes SCOTUS is fine by me, though the court is self-diminishing. The problem with the next nominee won’t be her skin color. It’s that she’ll be a licensed lawyer (all US judges suffer from that affliction).

Not that I really care, but I’ve always wanted to see some small government nominee from a mountain state. Someone whose mind wasn’t bricked by attending an Ivy, and then, in his legal career, being surrounded by urban intellectuals.

Good point about the crime thing as well. Why have we had to wait so long for convicted felons to get their fair representation on the high court? It’s a disgrace.

Barack Obama (not technically a woman, but still black and maybe gay)
Michelle Obama (doesn’t she need a law license that got pulled for fraud?)

Stacy Adams (extra fat and extra dumb and extra big gap tooth mouth are not disqualifiers)
Marilyn Mosby Baltimore (no, just indicted for multiple felonies = disqualified)
    Kimm Foxx Chicago. ???

Asians and Hispanic invaders are all in for racial preferences as long as it favors them. Asians and Hispanics both males and females aren’t ready or willing to take a knee to super rich Khazar doctrinal warfare which uses blacks as their proxy warriors.

  15. HT says:

As with most polls, I am not going to read too much into this one. Much depends on who was polled and how the questions were phrased. It wasn’t so long ago the GOP was touting polls indicating that 20-30% of Negroes would vote for Trump and now they are doing the same thing with Hispanics promising a major shift to the GOP. None of this stuff is real.

I would add that she has to have a club foot, a harelip and her left eye has to drift around in her eye socket like a pool ball on a pool table during an earthquake that registers 7 on the Richter scale. The finishing touch is that she has a medical condition which makes her smell like a dead fish no matter how much she bathes. Michelle Obama (doesn’t she need a law license that got pulled for fraud?)

I don’t know the specific details, but she voluntarily surrendered her license. She had been accused of some kind of questionable conduct, and was facing disciplinary action (possibly disbarrment) from the state’s board of lawyers.

My observation is that lawyers have to go pretty outrageously far in order to get disbarred. However, if the lawyer involved is a public figure, its case is potentially sensational. At that point, the lawyer board faces embarrassment unless it can appear to show that it is serious about providing oversight (lawyers watching lawyers). So they make a very prominent fuss about the case being a matter of grave concern.

I don’t know what terrible thing Michelle is alleged to have done, but had she not possessed such a high profile, the [political] case against her would have gone nowhere.

To become a US judge, I think one needs to be an American of >= minimum age. But the biggest hurdle is that one must be nominated by the president; the friend is usually buddy-buddy with the bosses back home, so he’s sure to have at least two champions in the senate. No law license is required. (It’s very possible that there’s a federal law that imposes such a requirement, and more. It would be unconstitutional.)

Not trying to troll, but anyone who holds, now or in the past, a license to practice law should be ineligible to serve as a judge.

The Administration is having to do deep background checks on the announced negro candidates to make sure there are no cousins or baby daddy’s in prison, have felony convictions or are on parole. Not many black families are criminal free and if the Republicans have the guts they can question the nominee as to her knowledge of her relatives criminal activity. Since the nominees will be under oath lying about it not only sinks their nomination it also ends their legal career even if Merrick Garland sits on any prosecution. Biden may come to regret his promise.

Just do like those old supermarket prizes if you’re the 100,000 customer you win a prize, except in this case they get to be on the Supreme Court. Hold it at the welfare office, and you’re guaranteed to tick every diversity box that liberals think makes people qualified for anything these days. An obese sheboon with 5 kids from 4 daddys, 3 which are currently incarcerated, so she became a lesbian because “men ain’t sheeit”, and is also a 4th generation welfare queen, who only knows how to live off the government. She’ll fit right in in DC, and will probably have a much better understanding of how government programs work than any of our current politicians.

  32. @USA1943

Graham is actually correct about Reagan vowing to put a woman on the Supreme Court. Not that I think anyone should treat Reagan as a standard, but there are many who do. Graham is correct that Biden is consistent with Reagan on just this point. Graham mentions a “Michelle Childs” as one he would approve of. Does anyone know anything more about her? Is she like Caitlyn Jenner?

Whichever black woman Biden nominates, I am 100% absolutely sure of the following: she raped me at a drunken keg party in high school, she sexually harassed me with stories of Long Dong Silver and a pubic hair on her Coke, and she wants whites to sit at segregated lunch counters and white women to have back-alley abortions.

I am willing to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee that this is all true.

I’m sure that CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, the Washington Post and the New York Times will believe me…

Either way, you wind up with LeDoctor operating on you. And, you get many competent docs, pilots, etc. engaging in proficiency-mirroring, thus reducing their own standards.

The POTUS does not appoint SCOTUS justices; he nominates them, but they don’t advance to the court unless and until the Senate confirms them.  Remember how Merrick Garland wound up NOT getting a SCOTUS seat?  The Senate refused to hold a vote on his nomination.

The job of America is to make it electoral suicide to vote to confirm any nominee of Biden’s, save for the Senators of the most radical left states.  The goal must be to have a Republican landslide in the 2022 midterms.

  45. Though the UK has a different name for Affirmative Action, at least it’s honest. They call it positive discrimination. In the USA, “diversity” is the end run around Supreme Court rulings against quotas. Biden’s blatant discrimination against better qualified candidates is bringing out into the open what is really happening behind the scenes in business, education, and government. White men will pay the price to bring “diversity” to every aspect of society.
