Last week President Trump announced that the United States would no longer recognize Nicholas Maduro as president of Venezuela and would recognize the head of its national assembly, Jose Guaido, as president instead. US thus openly backs regime change. But what has long been a dream of the neocons may well turn out to be a nightmare for President Trump.

Why did Trump declare that the Venezuelan president was no longer the president? According to the State Department, the Administration was acting to help enforce the Venezuelan constitution. If only they were so eager to enforce our own Constitution!

It’s ironic that a president who has spent the first two years in office fighting charges that a foreign country meddled in the US elections would turn around and not only meddle in foreign elections but actually demand the right to name a foreign country’s president! How would we react if the Chinese and Russians decided that President Trump was not upholding the US Constitution and recognized Speaker Nancy Pelosi as US president instead?

Even those who would like to see a change of government in Venezuela should reject any notion that the change must be “helped” by the United States. According to press reports, Vice President Mike Pence was so involved in internal Venezuelan affairs that he actually urged Guaido to name himself president and promised US support. This is not only foolish, it is very dangerous. A Venezuelan civil war would result in mass death and even more economic misery!

Regime change has long been US policy for Venezuela. The US has been conducting economic warfare practically since Maduro’s predecessor, Hugo Chavez, was first elected in 1998. The goal of US sanctions and other economic measures against Venezuela (and other countries in Washington’s crosshairs) is to make life so miserable for average citizens that they rise up and overthrow their leaders. But of course once they do so they must replace those leaders with someone approved by Washington. Remember after the “Arab Spring” in Egypt when the people did rise up and overthrow their leader, but they then elected the “wrong” candidate. The army moved in and deposed the elected president and replaced him with a Washington-approved politician. Then-Secretary of State John Kerry called it “restoring democracy.”

It is tragically comical that President Trump has named convicted criminal Elliot Abrams as his point person to “restore democracy” in Venezuela. Abrams played a key role in the Iran-Contra affair and went on to be one of the chief architects of the disastrous US invasion of Iraq in 2003. His role in helping promote the horrible violence in Latin America in the 1980s should disqualify him from ever holding public office again.

Instead of this ham-fisted coup d’etat, a better policy for Venezuela these past 20 years would have been engagement and trade. If we truly believe in the superiority of a free market system we must also believe that we can only lead by example, not by forcing our system on others.

Just four months ago President Trump said at the UN: “I honor the right of every nation in this room to pursue its own customs, beliefs, and traditions. The United States will not tell you how to live or work or worship. We only ask that you honor our sovereignty in return.” Sadly it seems that these were merely empty words. We know from Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc. that this will not end well for President Trump. Or for the United States. We must leave Venezuela alone!

Which part of the US Constitution makes it the responsibility of the President of the USA to ensure that other countries abide by their constitutions, especially when his interpretation of them is wrong? Why have previous Presidents neglected this aspect of their responsibilities?

After bringing mass death and misery to other countries, perhaps the same forces may bring it home to the USA.

It’s been clear for the last two years that teflon-don-the-con-man’s whole presidential campaign was a calculated bait and switch fraud. Teflon don was obviously a “deep state” agent long-groomed for the job of fake “president” (just like Obama) and waiting in the wings for his masters’ beck and call, which finally came when Obama was unable to deliver the whole world to the elders.

Teflon don, whose political ascendancy is clearly the result of the elders’ desperation, may be the most brazen, most dangerous, most unscrupulous liar to ever contaminate the white house. And what’s also very troubling is the lack of any kind of serious political or legal opposition to teflon don’s egregious imperial crimes.

Thank you Dr. Paul for pointing out yet another folly of our arrogant, Israeli-first, neocon Jewish supremacist scum, pulling the levers of our nations, in using the people of America as their bullies.

Trump was supposed to put America first, but Eliot Abrams is a Zionist criminal, who should be in a cage, not acting as Trump’s emissary.

God but all these developments are disheartening.

Congress will not allow border security for the United States.

Nor will congress allow internal enforcement of US Immigration Law.

Nor will congress hold the DOJ and/or FBI to enforcing the constitutional rule of law.

Nor again will congress allow any rapprochement with Russia or Syria.

It is difficult to take congress seriously.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Hmmm… The US Constitution seems to be specific about which Constitution the US President is supposed to preserve, protect, and defend. So when is Mr. Trump going to attend to that duty?

Look for God’s sake fellas it’s as simple as O.I.L! The shale oil fiasco is about to go tits up and Murca needs a nice fresh oil source. Of course they’ll mess it up they always do but they’ll get the oil and that’s all that matters.

Only a dim-witted libertarian would believe this. Unilateral Free Trade is what has brought America to its present perilous position. Because China, Germany, Japan, Korea etc do not practise Free Trade.

Despite the posturing, America has no intention of getting seriously involved in the Venezuela imbroglio. The one sanction that could work – banning imports of Venezuelan oil – is never mentioned. Outside of America, there is little demand for heavy, sulphurous Venezuelan crude. Banning it would cause the Venezuelan Government serious difficulties. But it would also put up the price of oil in America itself, which would be politically unpopular. One of the Cardinal Rules of American Politics is: don’t do anything that pushes the price of oil at the Pump up. The one exception to the rule is Iran. With Iran back in the international market, the price would fall. But the power of the Zionists precludes this option.
Chavez and Maduro have impoverished Venezuela, pillaged its assets and discredited what little credibility Socialism had left. They could not have done worse if they HAD been CIA agents whose job was to impoverish Venezuela, pillage its assets and discredit Socialism.
Hat tip to leftists: finger Chavez and Maduro as CIA goons now, so you can claim later that what they did was not Real Socialism.

Marvelous observations, especially your comment about the leftists and “real socialism”.

Each new generation of socialists/communists are convinced that the Russians, Chinese, East Europeans, etc, that they did not really understand Marx, and that they, the new crop of leftists, are the right ones and that they will finally accomplish the establishment of Communism.

the Administration was acting to help enforce the Venezuelan constitution

This dangerous logic can, as if by the wave of a magic wand, justify any intervention, anywhere, anytime. It is a lot more open-ended still than the old “fight communism” intervention justification.

It seems the ‘Administration’ thinks we, the consumers of this line (“acting to help enforce the Venezuelan constitution”), do not understand the concept of sovereignty.

they, the new crop of leftists, are the right ones and that they will finally accomplish the establishment of Communism.

A tradition that is now around a century old.

(Someone should trace the phrase origin of “True Communism has never been tried.”)

But there is an important difference:

Before the rise of Third World Marxism and now racial-‘minority’ quasi-Marxism in the West, it was a White-White affair.

Today, the “new crop of leftists” (including the ‘Whites,’ be they ethnic-Jewish or ethnic-Christian) all seem to use Marxism as a proxy for “racial justice” (i.e., White dispossession), in ways that committed Marxists of late 19th and early 20th century Europe would have reacted to in shock and/or laughed off stage.

  11. Ron Paul’s mention of the ‘Arab Spring’ is very pertinent. In Syria it has brought major powers closer to confrontation that could engulf the entire region, and beyond. It created a massive refugee problem for Europe. A ‘Latin American Spring’ could destabilize South, Central America and North America. Two big countries – Brazil and Mexico – take opposing sides on Venezuela. Every nation has a legitimate right to stability in areas close to its borders: but should be prudent not to take actions that could undermine those very interests – even survival. The pattern of history shows that governments continually make this catastrophic mistake. Adding yet another continent to chaos is not a good way of trying to avoid Armageddon. But the signs are ominous.

While I have no issue trading with Venezuela, exporting happy meals and widgets won’t turn them into flyover Americans and Rothbardian economists. That was our belief about China in the 1990’s. Everyone said by exporting our widgets we were exporting our values and thus, they would be slant eyed Americans in due time.

That hasn’t happened and China has been conducting an intensive cyberwarfare and industrial espionage campaign against us. Maybe we don’t export enough widgets which based on our unfavorable trade balance we probably don’t because most of our widget makers fired their U.S. employees and moved to China.

  13. Do we know that US froze the funds of Venezuela? When it did happen?
What other sanctions US imposed on Venesuela?

Until they realized it’s all about nothing but power. Then they’d recognize themselves, and give three cheers.

Gramsci updated Marx, and this is what we see.

Move over Trump, the Pence admin is running our foreign policy now. And Pence is the biggest neocon there is. There is not a single country that is safe from internal meddling by the Pence admin, the most meddlesome VP since LBJ.

George W. Bush during his campaign said:

“If we don’t stop extending our troops all around the world, and nation building missions, then we’re going to have a serious problem coming down the road, I’m going to prevent that.”

George W. Bush after the 9-11 attacks said:

“Any country that does not side with America in this war, is on the side of the terrorists and will be regarded bny the US as a Hostile Regime”.

Donald J. Trump during his campaign said:

“We will no longer use American Military might, to construct democracies in ar away lands or try to rebuild other countries in our own image, those days are now over.”

    Pompeo said last week:

“Now is the time for every other nation to pick sides, no more delays, no more games, either you stand with the forces for freedom, or you’re in league with Maduro and his mayhem.”

Different administrations, same bullshit rhetoric! The first thing that comes to mind when reading this article by Unz, is another article written by some academic regarding Flynn’s well written thoughts on the subject of IQ scores between the white and black races. This man was expressing to the readers how hard it was for anyone trying to research the subject to get approval from the different elite universities. The reason he gave was, that it was a touchy subject and they prefer not knowing rather than knowing what, is obvious to everyone (as one person commented) that white’s are smarter than blacks and score higher on IQ tests. If that’s the case, I really don’t give a shit because being smart does not necessarily mean you have to have a high IQ test score in my book!

Maybe Flynn and this other guy should ask the universities for funding to research how people with the highest IQ’s (As they believe) White’s, can commit such attrocities throughout history and still consider themselves the Race, that inovates, that has moral grounds, that cares more about people because they are better people than those dirty Mexicans down south, Build That Wall! They need to research the genetic markers between the races and see i white’s have that Jew gene. You know which one that is, the one that make thje Jews think they own this world and everything in it including those socialist Venezuelan’s Oil, Gold and Water resources. That gene that allows them to bomb, kill and mame innocent men, women and children without a thought. Watch it on TV while eating their dinner and discussing what terrible, evil, socialists people they just attacked, and taking a bite o their steak.

The only thing that is left for someone like me, when I/we see what is going on in the world today, is the belief that there is a “GOD” and and he just sent your temperture below freezing, then more storms and soon the major destruction of the US as predicted in the bible. I don’t give a shit if white people have higher IQ’s than Blacks, Mexicans, Arabs, I really don’t. You know what I do wish, I wish white’s had the balls to rise up and make the changes that need to be made to that little piece of land called Washington, DC! When we low IQ races in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa can see right through the bullshit the Jews in DC are feeding you, and you blindly send your kids to kill or be killed for the sake of making them richer, let me tell you that fuck yoy high IQ, I would trade that shit or a good set of balls anytime.

I live in Mexico and know if you guys don’t wake the fuck up and I mrean soon, we stand a good chance of being next on your invasion list. I can already hear the rhetoric. We made a change here, and I know it’s not reported much in the US, but the new president has uncovered a tremendous amount of corruption in PEMEX by the previous presidents and their friends in the US. Youtube has a lot of videos and a lady wrote 3 books about the sacking of Mexican Oil. Anna Lilia Perez, Blue Collar Black Hands, The Black Cartel and PEMEX RIP are a great read for people wanting to know what happens when the US, Blackrock and the Carlyle Group come in and help Venezuela like they did Mexico.

Trump is DEEp State, Q is Mossad and Both Dems and Reps are on the same team.
