Those hoping for a Christmastime government shutdown were once again disappointed when Congress passed a 4,000-page, $1.7 trillion omnibus appropriations bill that few, if any, Representatives and Senators read before voting on. The Republican leadership celebrated this bloated monstrosity because it spends $858 billion on warfare while “only” spending $772.5 billion on welfare.

No one should think Republican insistence on more warfare than welfare spending means Democrats oppose the warfare state. Under President Biden and a Democrat-controlled Congress, “defense” spending has increased by 4.3 percent over the last two years. Similarly, every Republican President in recent years—including two who had a Republican-controlled Congress for at least part of their term—supported huge increases in welfare state spending. Most Democrats only pretend to oppose warfare and most Republicans only pretend to oppose welfare to appease their parties’ respective bases.

The Omnibus appropriates a $44.5 billion giveaway to Ukraine. This brings the total US spending on Ukraine’s military to over $100 billion – approximately 50 percent more than Russia’s entire military budget! This money is spent in a conflict that does not affect US security, yet one that would likely have not occurred were it not for prior US meddling in the region.

The Omnibus bill provides $11.3 billion for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), a $569.6 million increase and $524 billion above the President’s request. According to the Democratic leadership, the funding increase is so the FBI can better fight “extremist violence and domestic terrorists.”

The public recently learned what the FBI considers an appropriate way to fight “extremism,” with the release of emails between Twitter officials and the FBI. These memos show the Bureau was working with Twitter—and almost certainly other social media companies—to suppress certain stories, such as Hunter Biden’s laptop, and points of view, such as skepticism regarding masks, lockdowns, and vaccine mandates. The bureau even used taxpayer funds to reimburse Twitter for the costs of implementing these “requests.” Government officials working with private companies to silence American citizens is a clear violation of the First Amendment.

This is hardly the first time the FBI has violated the constitutional rights of American citizens. In fact, since its founding the Bureau has targeted political activists and leaders such as Martin Luther King, whose agenda was considered “extreme” or “dangerous” by the Bureau’s corrupt leadership. The idea of a national police force with the power to target Americans because of their political beliefs would have horrified the drafters of the Constitution. The federal government has no constitutional authority over criminal law except for cases of piracy, counterfeiting, and treason. Libertarians, constitutional conservatives, and progressives who still care about civil liberties should join together to defund the FBI.

The fiscal year 2022 omnibus appropriations bill expands government, reduces liberty, and increases government debt, forcing the Federal Reserve to monetize more debt leading to more price inflation. Our political elites prioritize militarism abroad and authoritarianism at home over addressing the problems facing the American people like the Federal Reserve’s destructive monetary policy. This will fuel growing discontent with the political system. As the economy continues to worsen and the attempt to run the world continues to result in failures, the discontent will grow until the welfare warfare system collapses and, hopefully, a new error of liberty peace and prosperity dawns.

Would add have spent a lot of time analyzing words we always use, and see a few in article we could practice how to switch, help focus on tougher language, and should also make our own definitions, then our intake is different. Few suggestions,

warmonging – instead of warfare, with the phonetic ‘fair in it
busload of schemes – instead of omnibus appropriation
department of defense – department of offense (too obvious but wrote it anyway)

domestic terrorists and extremists, actually will maybe make list of groups and short notes, then others can decide, use paper and pen to put the groups that belong under the labels

cdc – pushes pharma, vaxs, and privately funded, people don’t know that

As we are examining the “violation of the First Amendment” Stanford piles on the abuse, Orwell‘s plot in his famous Novel, 1984, where language (words, and phrases), are eliminated (as the key Government action) in continuing the en-Slavement of the People, is chillingly accurate as he looked into the future. Orwell looked into the future, and saw 2022.

Woke – the repressive advocacy that puts the People into a Deep Sleep.

Here it is as documented by Jimmy Dore.

As the Oligarchs eliminate Language, the free expression of ideas, they exterminate our Human Race. That was Orwell’s point. Worse than burning books, this is the end. We are being lobotomized. After this, there is nothing, just a vacuum, with sheep running to the slaughter. [First we are fleeced, then we are butchered.] The mere concept of RESISTANCE becomes impossible!

We had better rise, before it is too late!

Soral is the author of 14 books, and a former Boxer, and Boxing trainer. He had the courage to defend French humorist Dieudonné, (when he ran afoul of the Zionist Tribe), and Soral been under attack since. Soral has been fined, & arrested, & served some time in Prison. And he has not surrendered.

Whenever beltway conservatives or libertarians talk about FBI malfeasance it’s always what they did to MLK. This is a lame virtue signal. The FBI probably stepped over the line in some instances but they were right to put MLK under surveillance given his connection to communists with their desire to overthrow the American system. MLK really was a Russian agent unlike Donald Trump.

Beltway libertarians who regularly claim of overreach by the FBI and other federal agencies have said almost nothing while January 6th protesters have their rights trampled on unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

The FBI has been almost singularly focused on so called white supremacists and other right of center dissidents since the 1980’s. There was a brief interlude while they were chasing Muslims for several years after the 9/11 attack but when Barack Obama became president he told them to back off. But now they’re back with a vengeance.

Have you an ounce of evidence to back that up?

As a Christian minister, Martin L. King was openly/clearly ANTI Communist. His political statements & Church Sermons are Primary Source evidence of his political preferences.

    You continue:

Whenever beltway conservatives or libertarians talk about FBI malfeasance it’s always what they did to MLK. This is a lame virtue signal.

Your statement is ALWAYS in error. It is ALWAYS false.

    To the contrary:

The FBI “always” opposed King, and the Civil Rights Movement, as they always oppose American Patriots in 2022. The FBI (as with the CIA), is a Front for the MOSSAD.

The descent of all too many writers and commentators, on this website, (especially its owner, Ron Unz), into mindless, and fanatical RACISM, with endless articles on IQ, and the superiority of one Race over another, MISDIRECTS energy and political direction back into the arms of the Zionist World Order who organize and thrive on the disunity of the World’s citizens.

Yes of course, the FBI are good people, genuinely concerned for the welfare of their fellow Americans*.

(*Just like they were on the day of 9/11, when they were planting bits of fake American Airlines Boeing 737 wreckage on the Pentagon lawn, to add credence to the bogus official story – when it was obvious to all that no wide bodied commercial aircraft had impacted with this building).

As for your stupid remark about ‘Libertarians and virtue signalling’, as with all political parties there may well be a subset within the party that are not committed to the cause and/or they infiltrated the party to sow instability.

But I can tell you that the Ron Paul Libertarians do not virtue signal and are not selective in calling out the shortcomings of the FBI.
Always and everywhere that the FBI are involved in malfeasance, the Ron Paul Libertarians will be the first to call them out.

Go leaf through MLK’s biography by David J. Garrow and you will read all about MLK’s Marxist sympathies and leanings and his sexual deviancy. That’s why the government keeps delaying the release of his FBI file since it would tarnish his (undeserved) reputation for being a holier thou, morally pure negro concerned only with racial equality and fairness and uniting blacks and whites.

The official release date is now 2027 but as we near that date they will very likely move it out yet again.

It wasn’t just a simple matter of marital infidelity with 1-2 other women. MLK reportedly laughed while a woman was getting raped in his presence and he took part in sex orgies that sometimes included white women. MLK was also a wife beater.

With all this wasteful spending, inflation, and extreme shortage of energy resources, things are not as cheap as they used to be – instead of my usual gas heating bill of $70 per month, I will pay $210 this month, and that’s with lowering the thermostat even further to the point of always being very cold. Yet, has anyone noticed that despite all these high costs, most Americans still have too much money? I say this because they still have enough money to keep all the wasteful and decadent companies in business. The number one case are fast foods. As tough as things are, Americans still have enough money to keep Burger King, MacDonalds, Carls Jr., Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Del Taco, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Long John Silver, Checkers, In and out Burger, and so forth in business. Food Stamps don’t pay for these things, like they pay for cold junk food (coke, Pepsi, chips, etc.). Also, Hollywood is still in business. Hollywood is the most wasteful and decadent entertainment product ever, yet Americans still have enough money to keep them in business by paying for their movies and television shows. And music companies are still in business. Everyone still has swimming pools which uses lots of water, electricity, and heat. All the Hispanics in my city have loud stereo systems in their cars and their homes. And brand name clothing are still in business. People have enough money to waste on a clothing logo, instead of buying generic clothing. There are dozens of useless magazines that are still in business. I can name dozens of wasteful companies that are still in business. The point is that as bad as things economically are here in the USA, Americans still have too much money.

The Money Changing Oligarchs of the 13th Tribe have created a horrifying mess (an actual Holocaust of sorts), since the Balkan wars of 1912-1913, and all the wars afterwards. Hemingway and Trotsky, among other young activists, examined and wrote about the Balkan Wars. They both lived to see the start of WW II. They had few illusions as to the horrific direction of our race. Hemingway was never forgiven for his depiction of “Cohn” in his greatest Novel, “The Sun Also Rises.” Orwell‘s “Animal Farm” was based on Trotsky’s brilliant “Revolution Betrayed.”

We live in a dimension of cowardice and denial. We witness the beginning of WW III, and are powerless to halt it. With the exception of the Pauls, and a few others, the attempt is not even being voiced.

no way in Hell will they be honored.

Here is a short summary of the DEAL, from FOX News.

“Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., celebrates with the gavel after being elected in the House Chamber at the U.S. Capitol Building on Jan. 7, 2023 in Washington DC.

McCarthy agreed to allow a single lawmaker to make a motion to elect a new speaker, returning to the way the House ran for decades before that practice was eliminated under former Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He agreed to votes on term limits and the adoption of a budget resolution that balances the budget in 10 years, and a cap on fiscal year 2024 spending at FY 2022 levels.

McCarthy agreed to reject any negotiations on spending with the Senate until the Senate passes its own spending bills. He agreed not to increase the debt limit without spending cuts or other fiscal reforms, to set up a committee to examine the weaponization of government against U.S. citizens, and to ensure no bills are brought up on the floor until at least 72 hours passed.”

I repeat: The demands and deal are significant, and necessary reforms – by any measure.

It would be highly useful if Statesman Ron Paul, or his son, Senator Ron Paul, would elucidate their view of just what has occurred in our Occupied Government’s – House of Representatives, and the majority Republican attempt to elect a Speaker of the House.
