Just a week or so ago the mainstream media and thousands representing the “medical community” told us we must throw out the “stay-at-home” orders and go to the streets to protest the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police. The Covid-19 virus will not bother people who are protesting this injustice, they said. The virus only attacks people leaving their homes to protest the stay-at-home orders.

Now, after thousands of businesses – many of them black-owned – have been reduced to rubble and innocent people in the inner cities no longer have anywhere to shop for the basic necessities of life, the mainstream media has backed off of its non-stop coverage of the protests. Suddenly last week they all simultaneously embraced a new fear story to terrify the masses: a “second wave” of coronavirus was among us. It was targeting those states that dared to “open up” their economies and begin a return to relatively normal lives.

Texas, Florida, and California were singled out to scare the rest of the country into thinking that if you dare leave your homes you will catch coronavirus and die. There was a “spike” in coronavirus “cases” they claimed. Funny, just a month or so ago they were demanding that we massively increase testing, which would produce just that “spike” in coronavirus cases they are now using to scare authorities into reinstating the incredibly destructive stay-at-home orders.

In the county here in Texas that includes Houston, the young judge who somehow seized the power to shut down the third largest city in the United States warns us that she may again shut down Fort Bend County to fight this “second wave” of cases. She even threatened to again pour millions of dollars into a “field hospital” at a Houston football stadium that did not see a single patient in the “first wave” of coronavirus. It’s hard not to wonder which politically-connected companies are reaping millions in contracts for an obviously un-needed hospital. Thousands of hospital beds in Houston are vacant, while cancer patients have been refused their screenings and desperately needed treatments.

As former Congressman David Stockman points out, the actual coronavirus numbers do not in any way support the media assertion that a “second wave” of infection is cresting over Texas. Stockman informs us that in Texas the “reported infected case rate of 256 per 100,000 is just 10 percent of the real ‘hot spot’ rate of 2,477 per 100,000 in the five boroughs of New York City; and its mortality rate of 6.2 per 100,000 population is just 3 percent of New York City’s 196 per 100,000 rate.”

There are no “hot spots” in Texas. It’s just more media hype.

It’s funny that they don’t dare mention Georgia, which has also opened its economy and has seen no “spike” at all.

The same people who were demanding more testing are now screaming that we must shut the economy down again because these tests – which are notoriously unreliable – are showing more coronavirus cases. This is a disease that 99.9 percent of the people who are infected with survive! But 40 million people out of work and the thousands of lives that will end due to the shutdown are never mentioned.

There is something else going on here and it is in no way related to public health.

In the future Corona will be associated with hoaxes the same way that Ponzi is associated with financial rip-offs.

  2. As Peak Stupidity noted in COVID-one-niner Death Count Hemoraging , sometimes the total death numbers from the Kung Flu have gone DOWN. WTH is up with that? I say zombies come back from the grave. How are the undead counted?

Then, the number of cases have gone up a bit, but what does that mean either? More people are getting tested for the virus, that’s all it means. Many near me have come in for testing since there was a free chicken dinner involved… take-out, of course, for, you know, health reasons… See COVID testing and free chicken .

Thank you again, Ron Paul, for being an island of sanity. in a small archipelago of sanity here on unz.

  3. I suppose that Ron is posing a rhetorical question. The Deadly Doomsday Virus is a hoax, period. Consequently, any further claims of a resurgence or “2nd wave” is also a hoax. To be frank, it’s now obvious to any sentient being that the “novel corona virus” is imaginary. The sooner that people begin to state this often, repeatedly, online and in person, the better.

That’s some dishonest BS, Ron Paul.

What they were saying was that cops are a greater public health threat to black people than Covid-19. A much
more devious lie than yours. Why replace their lie with yours, Ron? Why not address their BS head on?

  5. There will almost certainly be a second wave, and a third, etc., much the same way common colds (of which Coronaviridae are one of the more common strains) do every year. Of course there won’t be so much low-hanging fruit for Corona-chan to harvest, so it will just be another one of the seasonal colds that occasionally triggers pneumonia in some poor schlub. TPTB took a bad flu year and hyped it as TEOTWAWKI, and a couple billion people bought it just long enough to screw themselves for a decade or more, while TPTB learned they could indeed bite the hands that feed them, and do so with impunity.

    More to follow … standby.

Of course there will be a ‘second wave’, and then another ‘wave’ or a wholly new virus in November. People will die, like they always do, and the deaths will be blamed in the ‘virus’. Then the vaccine will come, which will actually be deadlier than the virus, but the vaccine caused deaths will of course be blamed on something else, like a new virus. Then 5G will be turned on everywhere, causing yet more deaths, which will also be blamed in the virus.

To be frank, it’s now obvious to any sentient being that the “novel corona virus” is imaginary.

Given the deadly serious Chinese response to the whole affair, and various genetic studies (eg, in both Taiwan & Japan) which have both confirmed the bug’s existence and pointed the finger back at the USA, it’s probably a bit simplistic to dismiss Corona Chan as an imaginary virus.

However, as Mr.Paul suggests, it is apparent that

There is something else going on here and it is in no way related to public health.

In other words, IMO Corona Chan is being used as a (literally) manufactured means to promote orchestrated outcomes – some premeditated, and some opportunistic, and none of it for our collective benefit.

Is the ‘Second Wave’ Another Coronavirus Hoax?

If the first one was…why wouldn’t the second one be?

  12. @Ultrafart the Brave

I haven’t seen evidence of genetic studies that actually identify the novel coronavirus, here or elsewhere, nor have I seen an actual sequencing of the virus with imaging of the virus that can be compared with actual samples taken from infected humans.

If that kind of evidence exists, surely it would have been included in links to sites where it could be viewed in at least one of the comment threads on this site, wouldn’t you think? That kind of evidence would be necessary for the creation of tests for the virus. The tests being used are apparently unreliable. Absent that kind of evidence, the existence of a single transmissible pathogen hasn’t been proven. Creating and releasing such a bio-weapon may have proved too difficult and risky, so the release of the idea of such a pathogen seems to be what has been done.

Given the obvious truth that the reactions of governments have had nothing to do with combating a pandemic, another possibility should be considered:

The pandemic exists only by proclamation and media repetition. The numbers of victims can be whatever those pushing the tale want them to be. Consider that the reactions by most governments are obviously geared toward some other result than stopping the spread of a virus.

When a pandemic features such anomalies as empty hospitals, fewer than usual flu season deaths, an absence of large numbers of bodies, medical university classes and issuance of certification for recent graduates suspended, then what we’re seeing is a whole new type of pandemic.

Maybe a wiser population might see this whole thing as a fraud.

It is a BigPharma hoax. They spent on a unneeded vaccine, so now they have to use hoax marketing to sell it.

The proof of establishment desperation is easy to find. They are again pushing flawed science to discredit the proven safe & effective CQ/AZ/ZN generic combo. Yet another BigPharma sponsored study has flopped: (1)

1,132 patients died in the RECOVERY trial, with general death rates nearly 10% higher than other country’s hospitals (the trial was randomized through Britain’s NHS). Whether giving people 3x the usual dosage of most other studies played a part is now a very real question.

Internet sleuths also got to work on the very heavy doses of the drug that were given – 2400 mg in the first 24 hours, a ‘dose fit for a gorilla’ as one critic had it. … Twenty-four grams at one go would be almost certainly lethal, possibly even to a gorilla. So Landray has had notice of some hard questions on dose, which will no doubt be explained in the full report, not yet released.

In the end, though, this study is just another in a long list which completely miss the mark and it’s good that it was canceled. The effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine to fight coronavirus has always been in the early stages because of how the virus works.

2,400 mg? — I could clean a fish tank with that!

Just how stupid does BigPharma think we are?

    PEACE 😇

I agree completely. And in fact, various links have turned up here and there, though I just took a mental note of them and moved on. The mention re Taiwan and Japan refers to separate independent university studies which broke down the genetic makeup of their local versions of Corona Chan and, given the multiplicity of coronavirus species known to be on the loose in the USA along with some esoteric geneticistic rules for virus evolution (don’t ask me, I just read this crap), concluded that Corona Chan most likely came from the continental USA (strangely enough, just like the Spanish flu 100 years ago).

Given the obvious truth that the reactions of governments have had nothing to do with combating a pandemic, another possibility should be considered

It dependson what governments we are talking about. I agree that the American experience seems shambollical to say the least. Ditto some in Europe. With horrendous fatality rates.

Meanwhile, across the Western Pacific, a couple dozen governments have each done their own thing, with minimal Corona Chan casualties across the board.

Just for completeness, Iran (America’s arch-nemesis) reported a bunch of politicians dying from Corona Chan, and struggled with their own epidemic, but seem to have gotten it under control with proportionately much better results than North America or Europe.

It seems to me that a plurality of governments from a variety of adversarial or unaligned blocs across the world are unlikely to all be collaborating in a socially stressful and economically damaging pandemic charade to promote some hidden unified objective.

That’s not to say that a cabal of several governments, or powerful interest groups behind those governments, may not be manipulating the Corona Chan phenomenon for their own devious purposes (both domestic and foreign). In fact, I firmly believe that to be the case.

Maybe a wiser population might see this whole thing as a fraud.

And there’s the rub. First we need to get rid of the stooges in power who enable all this nonsense.

Just lately, the Australian foreign minister has been on TV lambasting Russia and China for “spreading misinformation about the corona virus”. Propaganda anyone?

  18. @Ultrafart the Brave

I don’t know where you’re trying to emigrate from, but it sure ain’t on the archipelago of sanity. Stay home.

So, I did an experiment the other day. I watched the local news with its “team” of journalism interns home from college and every story is about what the good local institutions and organizations are doing about the horrible Covid takeover. I waited for someone to come on and say they were skeptical about its danger here, because the deaths in this area amount to a big fat “1” and the “cases” are less than 50. No one was skeptical. Every fat girlie news idiot was working herself into a sweat with greater degrees of hysterical blather about wearing masks and not touching anyone or anything.

So they change the emphasis from deaths to cases, which they can control. Didn’t 1984 change the enemy from east to west as it fit the big brother narrative? Grab your illegal guns folks cause they’re coming for YOU.
