I often joke that I survived Washington because I had low expectations, but last week’s hearing of the House Weaponization of the Federal Government subcommittee would have tested the lowest of my low expectations. The purpose of the subcommittee is to look into the politicization of US government agencies and its effect on our civil liberties. But last week’s inaugural hearing of the committee was not at all a good look for the Democrats, who brought nothing but insults for the witnesses.
Things got off on the wrong foot very quickly, as Democrat committee Members seemed less interested in what witnesses Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger had to say than in attacking the messengers. Ranking Committee Member Stacey E. Plaskett, a Democrat from the Virgin Islands, began by calling Taibbi a “so-called journalist” who poses a “direct threat” to people who disagree with the work he has done on the “Twitter Files.”
Taibbi, who to the likely dismay of the Democrats on the subcommittee is hardly a right-wing Republican, corrected Plaskett’s smear, pointing out to her that, “I’m not a so-called journalist. I’ve won the National Magazine Award, the I.F. Stone Award for Independent Journalism, and I’ve written 10 books including four New York Times bestsellers.” In addition, Taibbi pointed out that most of his journalism career was spent at Rolling Stone Magazine, which is hardly a conservative political outlet.
The Democrat decision to make this hearing a partisan political issue and attack the journalists who brought us the truth about secret US government censorship-by-proxy of Americans who hold views unacceptable to government elites is extremely unfortunate. The Democrat decision to attack honest liberals like Taibbi for bringing us the truth is baffling. Taibbi and Shellenberger and the other journalists involved in exposing government malfeasance in the Twitter Files have done a great service to all Americans concerned about the collusion between government and corporations to silence speech that the government does not like.
Matt Taibbi posted his statement to the subcommittee as another episode in the “Twitter Files” series and it may have been the most disturbing release to date. In this release Taibbi documented what he calls the “Censorship-Industrial Complex.” This is the collusion not only between government and big tech to censor “wrong” views, but also those parts of the so-called “non-governmental” sector that are directly funded by government.
This “NGO” sector, it turns out, has been a key tool in the US government’s efforts to censor Americans who fail to toe the US government line on everything from Covid to Ukraine. The “non-government” organizations such as the National Endowment for Democracy, the Atlantic Council’s DFRLab, the Alliance for Securing Democracy and dozens more pose as simply good citizens concerned about disinformation while in fact they are mostly or completely funded by the US government to do the US government’s bidding.
Taibbi calls this the “absolute fusion of state, corporate, and civil society organizations,” but there is another word for it: fascism. And that is where we are headed in the United States unless all of us – conservatives, libertarians, liberals, and progressives – wake up and fight for the restoration of the First Amendment.

When I think of “Democrats” on committees/subcommittees one image comes to mind: “Chuck” Schumer, (kike of Ukrainian ancestry who has been in government since 1975), on the Waco Investigation*.
The term ‘sleazy’ is an understatement.

All of this seems inevitable. I remember a survey done ages ago, back in the Sixties I think it was, in which the majority of the respondents identified articles from the Bill of Rights as from a communist manifesto they could not support. Historically, when democracy fails, people clamor for a god-king figure to make them feel safe again. And ours demonstrably has failed, at virtually every level: because it was crafted to manage a small independent republic, not a militarized global empire. It never fails to strike me what Ben Franklin predicted when he introduced the new federal Constitution in 1787, that “this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in Despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic Government, being incapable of any other.”

Indeed, Taibbi vs the Democrat Gang was good theater. It was a one sided fight. The Democrat Gang never had a chance. The Zionist owned Mainstream Media rescued the Democrats, so the American Citizens hardly know this fun fight even took place.

Problem with Washington is the problem with democracy period…it will eventually be captured by scoundrels and special interest groups because to have real democracy requires every citizen to be vigilant…since we are all born innocent it means a lot of work and self development to get to a stage of critical, logical vigilance!
Go to any gym and you will find it full of those who find building muscle preferable to building a real understanding of the world…that takes research, silence and contemplation.
For those who are more cerebral you have education, problem is the education is structured for confusing those who have a little understanding or buying off those who are wise to the reality.
So democracy is a lie in the West.
An example of this is Trumps call for protests if he is arrested, watch the numbers that will protest this and contrast this to the much more important rally against The War Machine and you will see why the West is such a mess.
Why anyone would defend a man who left Julian Assange to rot in prison beats me.
This is known as ‘therapy’, exercise is a way to recover from emotional trauma. I have always though it lower intelligence. That is, it emphasizes memorizing facts in place of thinking. Since reason is not an effective tool for dealing with the real world, eventually people will resort to building muscle as a way to cope.

Aftermath of Resistance in France. The Resisters are way ahead (at a higher level) to us in the USA. They are beginning to Return Their Bullets. They demand that puppet President Macron (former Rothschild Banker), RESIGN.

A younger group, (than the Yellow Vests – Gilets Jaunes), mostly Anarchists, are stepping to the Front. The Gilets Jaunes were not willing to fight, so they vanish from History.

From a careful look at the videos of the Resistance Demonstrations, the Demonstrators appear to be predominantly young (16-28 range). The Gilet Jaunes appeared to be predominantly Middle Aged, to Older. I recall them urging the younger Anarchist militants to leave their demonstrations. The Gilets Jaunes did not burn cars, or throw rocks, (even when they were being roughly treated and being shot at with Rubber Bullets & hit with Gas, and Water from hoses).
Yes, you are correct – in that it is likely that many of this week’s demonstrators, also began their struggles as Gilet Jaunes. I believe that the younger Yellow Vests have moved on. The Gilet Jaunes achieved little. Their Pacifism did not frighten the Zionist French President, or his controllers. But the uprisings of this week, and those to come, might.
I am not attacking the Gilet Jaunes, who placed their bodies on the line (as we say). I would no more criticize M L King in a comparison with Malcolm X. However, I would, & did clarify my agreement with Malcolm X‘s Martin Sostre‘s Paedric Pearse & James Connolly, & Pedro Albizu Campos, and the other Puerto Rican Nationalists‘ and our Minutemen’s approach to Resistance.

Some years ago, I belonged to a group of Youth Against War & Fascism, the youth group of Workers World Party. We were unusual amongst the anti-war Left, in that we were NOT pacifists, and would fight if attacked. All the other Marxist Lemonists & assorted Socialists & official Pacifists, ran, or gracefully received their beatings, when attacked. When our leaders, in line with all the other ‘Marxist Lemonists’ joined the Democrap Gang (after 1975), & gradually shut down their organizations, I led the Youth out of the WW. WW was forced to shut down their Youth YAWF group, as they had no youth left.
