Acquaintances of my generation are puzzled by the disappearance of the American left. They remember when there was far less war, far less monopoly capitalist theft, a less rich and powerful elite, less police violence against civilians, less militarization, less privatization and deregulation, fewer attacks on the social safety net, less propaganda from the media, and yet, despite the milder state of affairs, the leftwing was present raising hell about it all.

For fifteen years, and more if we go back to the Clinton regime’s destruction of Yugoslavia, the US has been engaged in wars on populations in seven—eight counting Yugoslavia/Serbia—countries, causing millions of deaths, disabled, and dislocated peoples. A police state has been created, the US Constitution stripped of its protective features, and massive crimes committed under both US and international law by three administrations. These crimes include torture, transparant false flag events, naked aggression (a war crime), spying without warrants, and murder of US citizens. Yet, the leftwing’s voice is barely heard.

Clearly, my acquaintances are beginning to miss the challenge to explanations and the country’s direction that the left formerly provided. I know how they feel. We used to be pushed along by biases and stereotypical thinking, and the left was there to rattle our cage. Now we are pushed along by propaganda and there is no countervailing force except a few Internet voices.

I remember telling the audience in the Q&A session after my Frank M. Engle Lecture in 1992 that I never realized how much we would miss US Supreme Court Justices Brennan and Marshall.

Today we need a leftwing far more desperately than we did when we had one. Today governments considered democratic have the powers of a dictatorship. In the United States, for example, habeas corpus has been erased from both law and Constitution. Even worse, White House officials can create lists of citizens to be murdered without due process of law. These are the powers of a dictator. Yet, these attributes of dictatorship are now institutionalized and go unremarked.

One would think that the dispossessed American workers, whose jobs and financial security have been moved offshore and given to foreigners, would be protesting in the streets like the French do. But not a peep. When presidential candidate Ross Perot warned American workers of what was about to happen to them, they did not have enough confidence to vote for him. Have the dispossessed American workers gained enough sense—or is the problem a lack of leadership—to vote for Trump who acknowledges the job loss that is eroding the prospects of the 99 percent? If Trump does not intend to deliver or is incapable of delivering, we are still better off because a failure to deliver raises the awareness of the people.

From the standpoint of the left, there is a perfect environment for them in present day America. So where is the left?

Here is my answer to the question. The left suffered a tremendous blow when the Soviet Union collapsed. The Soviet collapse deprived the left of its belief that there was an alternative to American “democratic capitalism.” The Soviet collapse also disheartened the left because the collapse removed any constraint on Washington’s unilateralism. With China shaking off Mao and moving into the capitalist camp, there was no one to pick up the torch.

People are puzzled why the left goes along with the government’s explanations of what appear to be orchastrated false flag terror events. If people of no political persuasion, such as architects and engineers, physicists, nano-chemists, firemen and first responders, airline and military pilots, challenge on the basis of evidence the official account of 9/11, why does the leftwing defend the account of a government that in other circumstances the left distrusts 120%? The left knows that Tonkin Gulf was an orchestration for war, that Saddam Hussein had no “weapons of mass destruction,” that Iran had no nukes. The left knows that the government lies through its teeth, so why does the left believe the government’s improbable conspiracy theory of 9/11?

The answer, I think, is that with the demise of Marxism, the left’s only hope is that the peoples oppressed by the West will rise up. The left finds huge emotional satisfaction in 9/11 as blowback of the oppressed against the oppressor. This is why the left clings to the official story of 9/11. And to the stories of other “terrorist events,” such as Orlando and Nice despite the lack of any real evidence in behalf of the stories.

I can remember when the American left, if told that a large truck travelling at a reported 56 miles per hour had mowed down 185 people and, then, being shown in the immediate aftermath the truck devoid of a spot of blood, clothing, human flesh, or even a small dent, would have shouted down the obviously false account.

Ask someone who has hit a dog at 56 mph about the blood and damage to the car. Ask someone who has hit a deer and the car is totalled. Ask experts if a large truck hit a person at 56 mph if the person’s body would remain intact and could be viewed lying without any apparant damage or blood in the street.

You don’t need to ask, do you? You see the point. The force of a large truck moving at 56 mph that hits a human is going to splatter that human all over the street. Yet, the Nice photos show no such event.

ORDER IT NOW

I can remember when the American left, if told by a Nice police official that the French Minister of the Interior in Paris had ordered Nice authorities not to release and to immediately destroy the entire filming of the alleged terror event from security cameras posted along the entire street where allegedly 185 people were hit by a truck and, additionally, to falsify the police report of the event, the left would have been demanding blood from the authorities, not calling those who do demand explanations “conspiracy kooks.”

Today the American left wants to shut down those who do raise questions about such very strange events in which a few Saudis who could not fly airplanes prevailed over the American National Security State and in which 185 people are allegedly hit by a large truck but the photos show no such results and the Paris officials order the destruction of the recorded evidence and the falsification of the report.

The official story of 9/11 is the justification for the wars. It is difficult to oppose wars when you accept the reason for them. By accepting the government’s 9/11 conspiracy theory, the leftwing killed the antiwar movement.

Why does the left trust the government precisely on those matters that the government uses to justify war and a police state? The answer is that those who challenge the official story deprive the left of the emotional satisfaction that comes from the belief that oppressed peoples are capable of striking back and do strike back. Alexander Cockburn once explained this to me himself. He said that when I report the challenges of experts to the official 9/11 story, I am taking away the dignity of oppressed peoples by assuming that they do not strike back against their oppressors. Alex could not accept the truth, because it meant that the oppressed acquiesced in their oppression.

I understand how Alex saw it. I understand the importance to any movement of hope, and I regret that the left has positioned itself such that facts undermine hope, causing the left to come out against facts.

I offer the left, or the simulacrum that remains, a different hope: trust the power of truth. Don’t defend the oppressor, attack him, and as you attack him your might will grow. People are not forever fools. A time comes when their personal situation contradicts the story fed to them. But if there is no leadership, awareness cannot graduate into revolt.

The West needs a strong leftwing movement with the strength to challenge the lies that are leading the world to a war of extinction of life. I would prefer a reformist left to a revolutionary one, but this is not to say that a revolutionary left is not preferable to what exists today, which is revolutionary neoconservatism without opposition from a countervailing force.

  1. You need to define the left Mr. Roberts. Readers today think the left is the Democrats and/or BLM and SJW’s. Unbeknownst to the American working class, the working class IS the left. Without class consciousness there is no left. Or more accurately, the left is in a deep sleep.

The working class has one advantage. Numbers. And one weapon. Solidarity. Divided against itself along lines of race, gender, etc. it has neither numbers nor solidarity. I like to describe the American working class as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

Do a piece on Eugene Debbs and the Wobblies Mr. Roberts. You have a voice. Do a little consciousness raising.

The problem with the left is its hopeless conservatism, forever tied to a bad Victorian economist, and the later mass murderers who used his name. The left always stank. Good riddance to them.

The useful question is “why are their no liberals?”, meaning liberals in the classical sense. Indeed, why are there no conservatives either? Who’s left but the unreflective mob and a bunch of heartless careerists? And a deeply corrupt US federal government, forever on the outlook for opportunities to be aggressive around the world.

ROTFL. Come on. The reds became the pinks.

Look at the fruit of the looms ‘pride’ fests. That is the ‘new left’.

One reason for the Left’s apparent demise is that so many former radicals have become the new establishment. They seized the power. They won the culture war. Now they’re busy remaking the world.

This new shift of wealth and power suits them just fine. After all, they’re the beneficiaries.

The Trotskyites and liberal activists of yesteryear are now either neoconservatives or that other warlike breed, the neo-liberal interventionist. The power is theirs.

Former radicals have become a dominant strain within America’s elite classes. Does this surprise you?

A prime, unstated goal of the old Left has also been achieved: breaking up the WASP establishment and bringing forth glorious new diversity, liberal hegemony, and perpetual war.

And which precious little country way over yonder is making off like a bandit? You guessed it.

Left or right, it always had an ethnic content.

After all, not all ethnic groups have same power.

Anglo-Right surely had more power than Mexican-American-right in the US.
Jewish-Left surely had more power than Greek-American-Left.

In the past, many Jews found success but many were factory workers, small shop owners, peddlers, salesmen, and humble school teachers. Also, they remembered stories of how they arrived poor in the US and the socialist past of their ancestors in the Old Country.
But as Jews rose up and up, those memories faded. And even ideologically leftist Jews became rich in elite industries of medicine, technology, media, and etc.
So, they needed a ‘new left’ that would play on some of the old themes of ‘dissent’ but wouldn’t threaten the power of Jews. Class Struggle is very threatening to the upper classes. And race politics can be dangerous too. Jews used black rage against whites to their advantage, but black rage and black power often harmed cities like NY and LA(remember the riots) where Jewish power is centered.
So, Jews needed a new kind of ‘left’ that wouldn’t have much teeth in challenging Jewish power. And it was the homo-tranny stuff.
What happened to the Art World is much like what happened to Leftism.
Look at Art today. Jeff Koons and such silliness. Such are promoted for the interests of investors and speculators, not for genuine discussion and evaluation of art as sublime expression. And the ‘left’ is just some fashion show of homos strutting around with ‘pride’ signs. And once homo stuff got what it wanted, there was the tranny business. But there is surely diminishing returns to this kind of silliness.
The ‘new left’ has become like Michael Jackson in his Neverland.

Another problem with the Left is the kind of people politics attract. While politicians claim to represent and care for the people, most of them are vain seekers of power and privilege. So naturally, whatever their ideals, they seek out the winners than the losers. They want to be with the winners. Far more cooler than hanging with the losers.
During the Great Depression, even the winners lost. So many businesses folded and became dependent on government. And the angry voters and workers gained power in numbers and in their demands. So, representing workers and labor had a kind of gravitas and moral urgency back then, and this defined American politics for a few generations.

Fast forward to the 80s and 90s, and it was a much transformed world. Europe had rebuilt and Asia was catching up. US could no longer takes its predominance for granted in all economic sectors. Also, labor unions had grown corrupt and too demanding. The future seemed to be with new industry in technology and information, with ‘free trade’. So, people like Clinton made a Davos-Man deal with the globalists. So did Tony Blair soon after. Clinton looked at US workers and thought ‘losers’. Blair looked at British working class and thought ‘losers’. They preferred to be with people like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and etc. And in turn, the rich wanted to be with Liberals or the left cuz they had more intellectual glamour as ‘radical reformers who care’.
Clinton and Blair may have started on the left, but they are politicians, and the political personality seeks out winners and feels contempt for losers.

With labor power waning and with new growth in high-tech and information that didn’t need vast working class numbers, politicians like Clinton and Blair had to with the ‘winners’ of Wall Street and Silicon Valley and London banks and etc.
Look at Hillary. She might have had some genuine leftist sentiments when young, but she has a political animal personality, and she wants to be with winners and disdains losers. Her former secret service folks say how arrogant, contemptuous, and nasty she is. But most politicians share this personality. She has to make an effort to smile in front of ordinary folks. They go into politics as a means to gain privilege, connections, and to be with the winners.

So, whatever the ideology, politics will eventually favor the winners over losers. Even when politicians come ‘from the people’, once they make their way inside the Beltway and rub shoulders with winners and etc, they begin to look down on the very people they are supposed to represent.
This happened with communist nations too. Eventually, no one in commie governments cared about loser workers. They joined the party and rose up the ranks to be with the winners. Human nature, esp among politicians who are more vain than most.

I did, it was the last election i voted in as it became apparent that had Perot not ran Clinton would have never won. Also that was the year California had prop 187 “no free shit for illegals” which passed by a large margin but was deemed as unconstitutional….(how can government services denied to non citizens be considered illegal under the constitution??) so i threw my hands up in despair. It was obvious that , to me, the country isn’t ran for me any longer.

The problem is Perot suddenly got erratic. He left the race and then returned, and people wondered about his mental state. He blamed Republican dirty tricks, but what were they? I wonder if he returned to the race just to see Bush lose to get his revenge.

But even without Perot, I think Bush would have lost in 92.

“Is it really the left which needs to find itself and its voice , Mr Roberts ?”

Yeah well, that would be nice.

But the leftist personality naturally tends to be more dissenting and radical, whereas the rightist personality naturally tends to be more conformist and obedient.

So, even though it would be nice if rightists could play the role of opposition, they aren’t suited for it.

The left has bad manners. Look at Bolshies and 60s radical outbreaks.

The right believes in manners. To be sure, there is the vulgar right, but it’s all about herd mentality of the mob than the razor edge of the radical.

Can Alt Right provide a critical dissenting right? They tend to be more maverick, but their interest in ideas and culture isn’t comparable to the left when it really once played a critical and contrarian role in society.

If the left can take total power, as in Bolshevik Russia, they push leftist agenda into every corner of society. They tried it, and it was a huge Orwellian nightmare.
So, the other way is for the left to enter into and take over the existing system without overthrowing it, and this was possible at least in democracies that opened the door to any individual willing to hit the books, earn credentials, and seek position in power. Democracies generally have little or no ideological litmus test for hiring and recruitment. The system is meritocratic(at least if the democracy is run by Rule of Law).

The radicals of the 60s and 70s couldn’t overthrow the system. (And maybe deep in their hearts, they didn’t want to. Problem with communism was that once the radicals had total control, they had to handle and manage the economy, and that absorbed most of their energies in a lot of dreary work. Radical and intellectual types would rather do something more ‘creative’, so Western leftists made a pact with the capitalists who were allowed to make the dough and huge profits by running the economy… as long as they funded the leftists in their long march through the institutions.)

Since radicals of 60s couldn’t overthrow the system, they decided to join the system and take over it from the inside.
Thus, a kind of ‘subolution’ could take place. A classic revolution is like Bolshevik takeover of power. A total change in the system and the way things are done. A ‘sub-revoluton’ or ‘subolution’ would be where the system remains intact but there is such a profound change in the character of the elites and leadership that a kind of unter-revolution has taken place.
If the Bolshevik takeover was a revolution, the passing of power from Jewish Bolsheviks(like Trotsky and others who were once prominent) to the gentile Bolsheviks was a subolution. The Soviet power structure remained, but Jewish elites were pushed out, and the gentiles took over, and in the end, Russians gained most power.
A kind of subolution happened in US as well, with the passage of power from Wasp elites to Jewish elites. There was no mass executions or change of system. The system remained intact, but the change in the character of elites and the Narrative was such that it was a kind of hidden revolution.

Both the Soviet subolution and American subolution relied on the politics of target fixation.
Russians found a golden opportunity in Zionism as the main target. Once Israel went pro-US, gentiles in the USSR made Zionism out to be an evil, a form of capitalist-imperialism. Thus, Soviet Jews could be associated with Zionism and removed from power or watched with suspicion. Though Stalin had already greatly weakened Jewish power, it was the souring of Zionism in the USSR that later gave Russian gentiles the golden opportunity to target Jewish power through all sorts of policies and narratives. Jews = Zionists = US imperialist spies.
Though Soviets were officially anti-antisemitic, they could use Zionism as target to control and check Jewish power. Association with Zionism put Soviet Jews on the moral defensive.

In the US, rising Jewish elites targeted the Wasps with slavery and ‘racism’ and Jim Crow and etc. aka ‘white guilt’. (Also, slavery was associated with Holocaust. Also, Jews did a Judo trick with McCarthyism. McCarthy pushed too hard, and the narrative went from ‘commies(codeword for Jews) are traitors’ to ‘paranoid rightist nuts target civil liberties of patriots’). So, Wasps and white conservatives were targeted and put on moral defensive. They could play defense but never offense since their pedigree was tainted with ‘racism’ and ‘paranoid style of American politics’.

Anyway, the lesson of this is that if the American Right wants to gain power, it has to fix its Overton Target or Crosshairs on its main enemy. It worked for Russians when they targeted Zionism as main domestic evil, and it worked for Jews when they targeted Wasps and white cons as main domestic evil.

The importance of targeting is of utmost crucial importance in war and revolution. Consider the Iranian Revolution. Its success seemed unlikely because the opposition was so crazyquilt, diverse, contradictory, and etc. There were religious opponents of the Shah, secular opponents, liberal opponents, youth rebellion, westernized female rebellion(even Iranian feminists), merchant rebellion(as traditional bazaars were threatened by modern mall capitalism), socialists, Marxist groups, and etc. All these groups hated one another and never agreed on anything. Indeed, Shah ruled as long as he did cuz he could play off so many diverse voices and groups in Iran. But in the late 70s, all these groups decided to put aside their differences and fire all their ammo at the Shah. He would be the main target, and that’s when he fell. Once he was gone, the power was up for grabs, and the ones with most fanatical will and ruthless organization won. They were the Islamists.

This is why Jewish elites in America are so smart in their Game of Target Diversion. They know that they are the ruling elites, the supreme power in America(and the West). They make natural main targets of blame. So, if all groups would focus their critical eye and ire at the top power, Jews would be vulnerable. So, they play on all these diversions to make us fix our targets on… uh… ‘white privilege’, Russia, Iran, China, Muslims, Angry White Males, Illegals, ‘homophobes’, and etc. So, there is no fixing of firepower on the Main Power. It’s like Hollywood Jews evade getting targeted by invoking ‘white privilege’ as the main target. So, even people who are critical of Hollywood think ‘white males’ run it. Of course, Jewish exec are white males too, but when people hear ‘white male’, they think of someone like Mitt Romney or Robert Redford. Of course, Jews also have a force-shield called ‘antisemitism’. By invoking that ‘pathology’, they can blunt any targeting of Jews. But this is only really effective with whites. Diversity POC don’t really give a shit as they had nothing to do with European antisemitism or Holocaust.

It’s like the scene in ATTACK OF THE CLONES. In order to bring down a space ship, all the firepower is directed at the object.

    https://youtu.be/dVcW11GoBD0?t=2m27s

It is what Jews fear most. In some ways, Liberal Jews fear their own side as much as the Angry White Males on the other side. I mean blacks, browns, and Muslims don’t much like Jews. And white lefties are into BDS and stuff because Israel is run by rightist Likud and because SJW’s need something to gripe about — it’s like a grievance addiction. And there is 1% vs 99% rhetoric of Occupy Wall Street. Since Jews are 40% of the 1%, this kind of talk scares Jews.

So, Jews divert the targeting toward the Evil White Male like Donald Trump. The KKKrazy Glue that holds the coalition together. But if the Evil White Male really falls, then Jews could be worse off because there will no longer be the great evil white bogeyman to hold the coalition together. Jews regard the Evil White Man as the biggest enemy and seek to totally destroy him. But Jews also fear the death of the Evil White Man because it means No More Diversionary Target away from Jewish Power.
As the Evil White Man falls, so will Jewish Power which will be the main target of ire from the Diversity Crowd — unless Jews find a clever way to make blacks, browns, yellows, muslims, feminists, homos, and etc all fight one another.

Jews fear the coalition might finally decide to target the Jews as ‘the mofos who got the most money and privilege’. And white conservatives, fallen from power and reduced by minorities by Jewish elites, might join with the POC against Jewish power for sweet revenge. Indeed, there is a hint of that in Trump when he calls on blacks to join him against the Establishment.

Jews don’t want to be Shah-ed down. When all the diverse groups and agendas in Iran decided to put aside their differences and focus on their firepower on the Shah as vain tyrant puppet of US imperialism, there was nothing he could do.
He could no longer play divide-and-rule. Even some groups who had been with him turned against him and joined the rebellion.

Whatever happens, the kind of revolution that happened in Iran is near impossible in the US. But subolution like what happened in USSR in the 50s and US in the 70s and 80s is possible.
The targeting of Jews by invoking Zionism finished Jewish power for good in the USSR. The targeting of Wasps and white conservatives by invoking slavery and ‘racism’ gravely damaged the White Right and even White Liberals(who were reduced to second fiddle players to Jewish elite power).
White rightists lament that they are done forever by Diversity which will reduce whites to a minority. But if they play it smart, they can work with Diversity to fix all of their firepower on Jewish Privilege as the Main Power and ‘evil’ in the US. Though Jews have the Holocaust card, there are many strikes against the Jewish Narrative. If an anti-Jewish Narrative is spun that brings up Jewish guilt in slave trade, Jewish guilt in communism, Jewish guilt in finance capitalism, Jewish guilt in Zionism, Jewish guilt in neocon war-mongering, and etc., then Jews can be put on the moral defensive, especially the POC feel zero Holocaust guilt.

That said, the genius of American system is it’s like the most resilient organism that preserves itself by allowing opponents, rebels, and others into the system. It’s like the Selfish Gene theory. It’s like US political order has a Selfish System theory. The system seeks to survive no matter what happens.

If a system is too rigid, then its opponents may increase in number and finally bring it down, like what happened with the Tsar Nicholas, Shah, and etc.
Suppose the American System had only allowed Wasp privilege and power. So, only wasps can serve in elite positions and etc. and hog all the wealth and good stuff. No non-wasps allowed. Then, over time, the non-wasps and even wasp reformers might all come together and bring down the entire system. Then, the system will die and will be replaced with a new one.

But the American system has a way of surviving and preserving itself by taking in new talents, voices, ideologues(even those who hate the system), and etc who are given entry. Inclusion. This process may lead to subolution, like the Jewish takeover of the system and the decline of wasps. Whoever rules, the system remains intact. Imagine a creature that can only live in fresh water and dies in salt water. Its geno-system is mono-purposeful. Now, imagine a creature that absorbs fresh water to thrive in fresh water. But when salt water takes over the pool, instead of resisting the salt and eventually dying cuz it can only absorb fresh water, this creature absorbs salt water that replaces the fresh water in its body. The water content changes but the system remains intact.

The amazing thing about the US is that SO MUCH changed in the past 50 yrs, but the system is intact, almost the same. It’s like the system has some ‘selfish’ mechanism that allows it survive and thrive even amidst the most profound transformation of values and meanings. Indeed, its survival depends on this very adaptability. There is still white house, Congress, supreme court, various institutions that existed 50 yrs ago. But US is a much changed society in character, agenda, narrative, and etc.

We see this with the rise of Hillary and her cohorts of boomer generation. Many had dreams of attacking and even destroying the system. But the system didn’t block them. The system allowed them to enter the system as long as they gained meritocratic credentials. These radicals decided to change the system from within, but once they were within the system, they had to keep the system going and serve the system in order to keep their power. So, they changed the narrative and agenda, but the system remained intact. They were just the salt water that replaced the fresh water in the adaptive Super-Octopus-System. The Founding Fathers created a most resilient political organism. Instead of resisting the opposition, it absorbs and ‘includes’ the opposition that finds itself serving the system.

Hillary is now part of the system. The woman who opposed the warfare state entered the system and now champions the warfare state. In the end, it is the system that survives.

    It’s like the shape-shifting Octopus.

It is like the Thing, a geno-system that can survive anywhere and anyhow by absorbing anyone and anything.

Why does the left trust the government precisely on those matters that the government uses to justify war and a police state? The answer is that those who challenge the official story deprive the left of the emotional satisfaction that comes from the belief that oppressed peoples are capable of striking back and do strike back.

More likely, the idea that 9/11 was push back for Western oppression has been promoted to discourage folks, left, right or center, from wondering why Osama bin Ladin (contrary to his denial) would have provided the Bush administration with the justification it wanted for wars on Afghanistan and Iraq.

Consistent with that interpretation, here’s Canada’s then more-right-than-left Liberal Prime Minister, Jean Chretien, on 9/11:

You guys have won! You just have to mop up one or two pockets of resistance.

I guess the author was hoping for something like the USSR of the 1920’s and 30’s, with marauding bands of KGB agents killing Christians and destroying churches, or turning them into museums of agriculture. It is true that not all private property has been nationalized Soviet-style. Rather it has been nationalized through creeping regulation and taxation. The end result is the same.

So, knucklehead, don’t tell us the Left has disappeared. The Left is the Establishment in D.C. You should be running victory laps now instead of striking an innocent, bewildered posture. And never forget: Fascism is a Leftism.

Well, I almost never involved myself in these comment-threads, but by chance your utterly *hilarious* comment caught my eye.

It sounds like you’re unaware that the author, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, spent decades as one of the most prominent conservative intellectuals in America, including serving in the Reagan Administration and also as Associate Editor of the WSJ Editorial Page. Indeed, he was widely considered one of the fathers of the “Supply-Side Economics” that dominated that era.

Indeed, even within those conservative circles, I think Craig was considered very hard-core. I think VDare’s Peter Brimelow may have regarded him as something of a mentor.

Perhaps you’ll next say something like “that notorious Communist-sympathizer Barry Goldwater”…

I’d assume you’re just some sort of young and ignorant Fox-tard, who’s just been too lazy to study the conservative history of the last few decades. I suppose you spend your time reading comic books instead…

Playing with language that is…

So stop using the word the Left, when you talk about the Left.

  23. The question isn’t so much “What happened to the left?” What hapened to the left PCR describes is that they grew up to join the ranks of the political elite and have become part of the dark side.

PCR’s question is more accurately put as, “What happened to people of principle and character who were willing to speak truth (at leadt as they see it) to power?” They have, of course, been spied upon, harassed by agencies like the IRS, ridiculed by the MSM as tin-foil-hat loonies, and black-listed by other agencies like DHS and its subsidiaries as self-radicalising lone-wolf threats. With all that going against you, it is damn near impossible to mount an effective challenge, much less one that has a prayer of picking up supporters, to oppose the further slippage into subservience to the political elite and the dark side.

“The problem with the left is simply that we lack leadership.”

No, it isn’t that simple. There are plenty of leaders to choose from. But the people keep choosing the wrong ones because people on the left just want to “win”, which means that the Republicans don’t win. That’s it. The bulk of people on the left have absolutely no scruples (neither do people on the right of course).

“We thought we found leadership in Barack Obama–who promised “change you can believe in.” We were deceived.”

But continued to make excuses for him anyway and are hitching onto Hillary Clinton who said that she’d continue his policies. Democrats are lied to and they know it. They don’t care. A recent poll found that 12% of Democrats believe that Hillary Clinton is honest and trustworthy. Yet they’re going to vote for her anyway.

“Potential leaders are thwarted by the establishment media, which won’t cover rising challenges to the status quo. The Establishment has the sheeple under control.”

The problem with the Left is that most of them are perfectly satisfied with identifying as Not Republican.

    Yes, exactly.

A very liberal radio broadcaster recently drew a parallel between Trump and Corbyn on the basis that they are both cult figures. This is a clever strategy because it deceives people into not seeing that the true parallel is between Corbyn and the liberal elite for the reason that both adhere to ‘the doctrine of false consciousness’ (anyone who disagrees with their ideology must be amoral or insane). Whereas I imagine Trump and the alt right generally have no qualms with the left voicing it’s opinion as long as counter arguments are also allowed.

The situation is very severe. The left-establishment has managed to completely rewrite knowledge and at least two generations believe stuff that has contrary scientific evidence. One example is being able to convince people that dog breeds may vary but such similar effects of breeding have no impact on humans whatsoever. It seems to be a reversion to early Christian ideas of humans not being part of the natural world but just guardians of it.

In practice, what marxism seems to do is to destroy infrastructure and institutions. The destruction phase gives advance warning that the left is coming. That is why what has happened is so appalling – leftist ideas have taken over conservative institutions in tact, by stealth. But eventually, those institutions will rot because they cannot be run using the left’s ideology. The left shows itself time and again to be unable to cope with procedural thinking. On the one hand, the left becomes obssessed with procedures. On the other hand, that very obssession leaves no room for the flexibility, expedience and pragmatism required to sustain human institutions. There are no exceptions to prove the rules on the left and that is why it is an unworkable ideology, however good it looks on paper. I surmise that Marx sat in the British Museum and asked himself what good story would make him a best seller in Britain.

What evidence is there that the French Minister ordered the film footage of the event destroyed? Admittedly, it would be bizarre if there was no blood on the truck. However, while I do recall seeing the truck footage on Fox News it wasn’t from a vantage point close enough for me to say whether or not there was blood on it. And if key footage was destroyed, how can we say definitively that there was no blood on the truck? Maybe the footage was suppressed so as not to give the enemy a recruitment tool.

And as a counter point to Mr. Robert’s circumstantial evidence that “no blood is seen on the truck”, what are we supposed to think transpired (if anything at all) in the actual event? A) That no one was killed at all and it was all completely fabricated by the media? B) People were killed, but the government did it? If B), how did the government kill all of these people? Guns? Poison?

If either A or B is the case, why aren’t all the people who were at the events screaming to high heaven that no one in the streets was hit by a truck? Or that men in masks were seen shooting people down?

If absence of evidence were proof of anything, it seems to me that the “conspiracy” version of the Nice episode would be left far more wanting than the claim that the truck in fact mowed all these people down.

I’m open minded to evidence to the contrary. But Paul Roberts doesn’t link to anything. His point seems to be that if we still had a “real” left then a lot more people would be advocating that the whole thing was a conspiracy with or without real evidence.

  36. I’m a little surprised people are so clueless about the left on this site including PCR.

It’s all standard history, the old left died during the cold war when it became apparent what a murdering police state the Soviet Union was.

Another left was born, the new left based not on workers who had failed to rise up, but on identities, mainly feminism. Feminism was immediately an enormous revolution, it was considered unquestionably good for everyone and quickly became a topic beyond discussion. With the support of feminists, and the moral prestige the left accrued with it, there were massive changes, the sexual revolution, abortion, pornography, smashed families, single moms, drugs, a permanent underclass on welfare without jobs and the rise of double income families.

So in answer to your question Mr Roberts, where is the left, it became us, the left has ruled culturally and politically for the last 50 years, many, probably most in the republican party are leftists, and on this site, nearly everyone are leftists. That’s why when the Republicans get in power nothing changes.

But I hear you object, I’m not a leftist, I don’t support welfare, or big government. No most of you libertarian types don’t support helping anyone else it’s true, but many of you do support screwing your neighbours wife, or divorcing an old wife and getting a new one, or living with your girlfriend without marrying her, or aborting an unwanted child, or watching violent pornographic entertainment, or men having sex with men, etc. etc. etc.

You see, you are all leftists, the left won every culture war that was possible, they have carried all before them.

How did they do it? Feminism, as I said feminism was considered an impeachable good and feminists when joined with promiscuous powerful men who simply want lots of sex and the ability to get rid of old wives, and the gay community make a pretty powerful coalition and still are today.

The Republicans are no different, there is probably as much vice on their side of politics as in the Democrats. They just want to keep the poor poorer. In that sense they are doing the work of leftists, because they no longer really care about the poor, they care about gays, and abortion and women. That’s all, they want the whole world to accept their revolution.

In fact the new left has entrenched poverty, because feminism and the sexual revolution created such massive social dislocation and decay, massive welfare was the only way to ameliorate the damage, and when women destroyed the employment prospects of many poor white men whose jobs began to be taken by women, the only solution was more welfare, and when the birthrate began to collapse then immigration was needed with still more welfare.

The Democrats would love to get rid of this welfare burden, but they are deathly afraid, not just in the US but in all the advanced democracies, that in getting rid of the welfare to those that have been left behind they would undo their whole revolution.

And I have met very few Republicans or Libertarians or true Conservatives or even Religious who want to undo the revolution which occurred in the 60’s, they just object to how much it is costing.

The truth is there has never been a society where women stopped having children and entered the workforce. It is not really understood, because discussion of these changes is simply non existent in the MSM and rare on the internet. A society were women work, and marry men who work and have few children, while other families exist on welfare might be unworkable, because it will slowly go broke because of the massive welfare needed to support it, and because there is a lack of babies.

But their is no discussion of all this because ultimately we are all cultural lefts including PCR and probably Ron Unz and all of the bloggers, who enjoy the freedom to sin without judgement, they want the right to sleep with anyone and divorce anyone and and do what they please, which is what the left is really about all along, the right to rebel against God and his laws.

  37. And just to add to my previous comment.

The reason the left are not rising up at the injustice of the US provoking Russia in the Ukraine and supporting Islamic extremists and using them to overthrow governments, is because they want their revolution to spread throughout the world, as indeed do most Republicans.

The leftist revolution of the 60’s has been so successful that just about everyone will go to war for the “American way of life”, which is actually exactly the same as the “British way of life” and the “Australian way of life”, in fact all the first world democracies who have all had the same revolution.

All the western democracies think their baby aborting, sexually decadent rapacious lifestyle based on gross indulgence is good not only for them, but for the whole world. They will be willing to fight to the death for this.

In fact the extreme leftist ideologically driven types such as Obama, and Hillary and Merkel and probably May in Great Britain find the new conservative values of Russian and Putin so thoroughly objectionable it is probably the reason they are creating such mayhem in the world and provoking Russia so much. Vlad should never have banned those gay marches in Moscow, that was sure to enrage people like Obama far more than bombing the crap out of Islamist in Georgia.

In the west we are in the grip of a collective delusion, what should really be discussed is whether the west has fallen into evil ways because of the revolution in the 60’s and no longer really deserves to be the moral leaders of the world. It is part of the delusion on the left, which basically means all of us, that morality is beside the point, we should just be stronger than them. This is a big, big mistake.

If one reads BDS Declaration, he will find to his surprise that BDS is not against the Jewish occupation of 78% of the historic Palestine. BDS uses the word “occupation” for the West Bank and Gaza Strip but not even for East Jerusalem which all were occupied by Israel as result of its 1967 War of Aggression. The BDS demands from Israel; 1) Ending its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands occupied in June 1967 and dismantling the wall, 2) Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality (meaning Israel has the right to exist within pre-1967 borders); and 3) Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN Resolution 194.

Zionist Jew writer David Cohen boasted at Jewish site algemeiner on December 23, 2013 that BDS is not anti-Israel but against world Jewish power.

    On February 18, 2014, Emily L. Paul C. Roberts:

From the standpoint of the left, there is a perfect environment for them in present day America. So where is the left?

Here is my answer to the question. The left suffered a tremendous blow when the Soviet Union collapsed. The Soviet collapse deprived the left of its belief that there was an alternative to American “democratic capitalism.” The Soviet collapse also disheartened the left because the collapse removed any constraint on Washington’s unilateralism. With China shaking off Mao and moving into the capitalist camp, there was no one to pick up the torch.

Let us consider two alternative versions of history:

    a) The Soviet Union did NOT collapse and experienced economic changes just as the USSR successor states did in our reality.

Would the Left be fine then?

    b) The Soviet Union collapsed, and its successor states stubbornly defended the basic social security, the most vital parts of the previous system.
Yes: divided, they’d lose some battles. And would put up a good fight anyway.
Would the Left be deprived of its belief then?

So, contrary to what you’re saying, the problems of the left are due to something else than the collapse of the USSR. Your answer avoided facing the crucial fact of people abandoning the course of the left.

May I suggest why was that so?

Because the Left as you conceive it has always been about bluff and pomp and lack of substance. Well, even a splendid show can’t continue indefinitely.

Spengler was patently wrong on some points, – was very good in describing the Left:

What do we mean by “Left”? Last century’s catchwords such as Socialism, Marxism, Communism, are out of date; they no longer mean anything. We use them to avoid disclosing where we really stand. But the age demands clarity.
“Left” is party, [69] is what believes in parties, for this is a Liberal form of the fight against high society, of class war since 1770, of the longing for majorities, for “all” to be in the running, for quantity instead of quality, for the herd against the master. But the true Caesarism of all declining Culture takes its stand upon small, strong minorities. “Left” is that which has a program, for a program presupposes an intellectual, Rationalistic, and Romantic belief in the power to control reality by abstractions. “Left” is the noisy agitation at the street corners
and in public meetings, [70] the art of overthrowing city crowds by strong words and weak arguments: it was in the time of the Gracchi that Latin prose developed into that oratorical style which is good for nothing but the hair-splitting rhetoric which we find in Cicero. “Left” is the enthusiasm for mass in general as a foundation for one’s individual power, the will to level everything distinctive, to equate the artisan with the people while casting derisive side-glances at the peasantry and bourgeoisie.
    (69. The Decline of the West, II, pp. 449 et seq.)
A party is not only antiquated as a form; its basis is also a mass ideology that is already antiquated, it sees things from below, it runs after the thought of the majority. “Left” is, finally and above all, lack of respect for property.

“There’s no longer any need to be good to the mass of Americans.”

Rather, the minority must be protected from the evil masses of bigots.

Now, I’m all for minority protection.

But, at some point, the need for tolerance and protection turned into mandatory need for the masses(the majority) to praise, revere, and serve the minority elites(as neo-supremacists).

It went from ‘leave Jews alone and respect their civil liberties’ to ‘you better show your face at AIPAC or lose the next congressional election.’

It went from ‘let the fruiters boof each other in the ass’ to ‘shut down entire city blocks to mount massive homo poo-ride parades that idolize homos as saints and angels.’

It went from ‘give blacks equal rights’ to ‘kneel at the feet of the MLK cult and seek salvation by begging for holy Negro blessing.’

    From Tolerance to Total Obedience.

Minority-centrism as the core of Western politics was likely because the ruling Jewish elites are a minority.
When they were not rulers, they sought tolerance and acceptance of minorities.
But once they became the rulers, they feared opposition from the majority; therefore, in order to secure their power, they shifted the culture from tolerance of minorities(esp Jews and homos) to worship of them.

Funny. Finkelstein has the opposite view, i.e. BDS is too far-reaching and unrealistic.

At any rate, even though Nakba was tragic, the idea of reconstituting old Palestine is impossible. And even if possible, it would lead to new bloodbaths.
In principle, right of return makes moral sense. but in practice, it’s unrealistic.

Maybe, the Occupation of West Bank is useful in this way: Best defense is offense.
If Jews gave up West Bank, the next big issue might be, “Hey, what about the land you stole in 1948?”

But if Jews occupy West Bank, the anti-Zionists are too busy bitching about the Occupation to focus on the events of 1948 and Nakba.

Suppose you take someone’s house and force him to live in the garage. Now, it would be natural for that person(and his sympathizers) to demand you give the house back.
But if you occupy the garage too, the man(and his sympathizers) will be too fixated on ending your bullying prsence in the garage to complain about the house itself.

    That’s smart thinking.

The Occupation diverts the Narrative away from the Core issue of how the tragedy came about in the first place: 1948 war.

Use 1967 to divert attention from the more crucial 1948.

For example BDS only supports boycotts , divestment and sanctions against Israel . But there are many Islamic occupations that are far worse by any metric . Lowering the bar and holding muslim nations to a much lower standard is a tacit admission that they are inferior . Examples .

    Occupation by numbers :
    Amount of land occupied

Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara — 266,000 square miles (more than 100X Israel )
Sudan occupation of Darfur —190,000 Square miles (80x more than Israel )
Indonesian occupation of Papua –168,000 square miles ( 70x more than Israel )
Israeli occupation of gaza and west bank —2300 square miles

    Occupation by numbers :
    Amount of casualties :

Sudan occupation of Darfur —1 million plus killed
Indonesian occupation of Papua –550,000 killed
moroccan occupation of western sahara –35,000 killed
Israeli occupation of gaza and west bank —22,000 killed

    Rehmat,

Consider for a moment what would happen to the ethnic character of Israel, if ALL the Palestinian refugees (and their descendants) returned to Israel and simultaneously Palestinians were granted full and equal rights within the country.

It would function as a demographic time bomb for the very “Jewishness” of the Jewish State.

    Wouldn’t it ?.

Within a decade or two,Palestinians would constitute a near majority….they would control over fifty percent of the seats in the knesset and would probably be able to vote in a Palestinian as prime minister.

They might even constitute enough of a majority (within a generation) to pass a law changing the name of Israel to Palestine.

On top of controlling,( within an authentic democracy), the largest single voting bloc INSIDE Israel, they would also have complete dominion over the West Bank and Gaza (i.e. Palestine pre-67.)

The whole concept of Jews having a state of their own, where they can control their own destiny, would be thrown out the window, almost overnight.

Israel would continue as a democracy, but it would cease to be the Jewish State.

    Your thoughts ?

Brohemius may be unduly abrasive in attacking Professor Roberts’ position and he is mistaken in asserting that Roberts stands with America’s neoFascist leadership. Nevertheless, he makes several important points.

In particular, there is some sense in his suggestion that Roberts wishes this were 1967 again. Then, the left still had political power, which was exercised through left-associated political parties, i.e., the US Democratic Party, Britain’s Labour Party and Canada’s New Democratic Party. Such influence depended in part on the money unions provide in support of political campaigns and in part on the intellectual resources in support of left-wing parties that the unions provided.

Immediately after 1967 was when the current phase of globalization took off (chart here) and Britain joined the EU. Globalization has meant death the trades union movement as a significant force. As a result, the traditional left-wing parties have become parties of opportunism, led by the likes of Tony Blair (“Labour must seize the middle ground”, i.e., become an alternative to the Conservative Party by adopting their policies), and the Clintons.

So here also, Brohemius is correct, insofar as the left, as was, has become part of today’s bought and paid for fascist leadership. However, Brohemius seems quite wrong in assuming that Roberts is part of this phony Fascist left (if he is, he must be a crypto member, i.e., an agent of disinformation). But Roberts is quite deluded in assuming that there is a left out there that can somehow remedy the disastrous policies of the supposed left leadership. The Clintonite left leadership has joined the Treason Party. They are money grubbing globalists, imperialists and warmongers, and they will control the masses with ever greater ease as the technologies of mind-control, brainwashing, and intimidation advance.

The power of the masses in America will only be restored through an elite revolt, which is what the Trump movement seems to represent. But if it gains power, its long-term influence will likely be slight unless it restores to the working classes a powerful labor-based political structure with the same clout that used to be wielded by the Teamsters and the UAW and the other great unions at the peak of their power.

I agree about the general point, but

Another left was born, the new left based not on workers who had failed to rise up, but on identities, mainly feminism. Feminism was immediately an enormous

That’s not right, feminism goes back, a lot farther, even though they kept it under… their petticoats back when. EI: Bernay’s started his advertising carreer off with an appeal to women to take up smoking, he used psychology, of what might have once been called ”penis envy” to induce the women of the time early 1900’s knowing that the cigarette was a perfect vehicle because of lts use as a sort of fashion statement and masculine symbol, and as a way to abscond with some of mans thunder, many women jumped for the chance to do that, and the advertising was successful. (”You’ve come a Long Way Baby”). Then they started wearing Pantsuits!

watching violent pornographic entertainment, or men having sex with men, etc. etc. etc.

Eeew! Did you have to say that? Hey I don’t know how much we can do to repair the broken human pottery of this world, but I’m just enough of a Libertarian to say, ”Please don’t do what you do, within my view, or anybody I care about including the young or impressionable,” at least they aren’t letting ’em do it in the streets much now.

The truth is there has never been a society where women stopped having children and entered the workforce.

Well, no but the way this thing is going, it’s more of some kind of post industrial economy, where they bring in bocoo immigrants and ditch the jobs, including agriculture, and you have gazillians of unneeded humanoids, to do what all? Clean shit, serve in soup kitchens? Line up at soup kitchens soon!

To, the end of the graph of the trend, is welfare dole for all, until the time comes for the final curtain! Geo Green tells it. Mike Ruppert told of it, the end times when a population of any species out grows its place. Ruppert told I think rightly, that the sipke in population corresponding to the Petroleum age, is like in many other species, when a certain exponential type of spike occurs, it inevitably is followed by the opposite, or complete collapse. At some point in the past twenty years they stopped defending the interests of working class people and instead have become almost entirely focused on women’s issues, native issues, the environment and homosexuality (and more recently these days, fighting “islamophobia”). They used to march with the Steelworkers union on Labour Day, now they march in Pride instead. In large part this is due to unionism now being dominated by female centric public sector unions.

They’ve traded genuine socialism for Fabian socialism and as a result the common working people (those icky, uneducated whites) have become an embarrassment best swept under the rug.

Labor laws in the West don’t apply to labor in other nations with poor Rule of Law or worker protection.

Actually, the Keynesian post-war demand management policy had broken down into stagflation,
the simultaneous rise in inflation and unemployment. That is why in 1979 the Joint Economic Committee of Congress, prior to the election of Ronald Reagan, chaired by Senator Lloyd Bentsen (D, Tx) issued its first unanimous report in 20 years calling for a supply-side economic policy. The supply-side policy did precisely what it said it would do. It brought stagflation to an end.

As you are uninformed about the policy but are inclined to pronounce about it, you would benefit from reading my book, The Supply-Side Revolution (Harvard University Press, 1984).

“minority worship? what are you on? glue?”

    LOL.

    Eh… what’s this?

    Jews are not a minority?

Now, I don’t believe that US is pro-all-minority.

There is a hierarchy of who matters and who doesn’t.

When blacks looted Paki and Arab stores in Ferguson, the media didn’t care. No sympathy for this man.

So, not all minorities matter. American Indians are in a sad state. But elites care more about certain immigrants(like millionaire Fareed Zakaria) than about American Indians.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/the-hard-lives–and-high-suicide-rate–of-native-american-children/2014/03/09/6e0ad9b2-9f03-11e3-b8d8-94577ff66b28_story.html

The Holy Three in America are Jews, homos, and blacks. Jews and homos(esp Jewish and white ones) are far more successful than blacks because they give great effort to taking power constructively. Black power still thinks destructively — take stuff from others thru violence — , so they lag behind. Even so, because they are one of the holy three, they are never ever blamed for their failures and rampages. Look how quickly the media moved away from cop killings in Dallas and Louisiana. In Milwaukee, a black thug was shot be black officer and the black thugs randomly attacked whites, but the elite media pontificates about more has to be done for the negro and how we need to understand more. Hmm, there was no need for understanding when Dylann Roof shot the blacks. Then, it was pure judgment time.

Also, the cult of the Holy Three means their Ziogotry, Negrogtry, and homogotry are A-Okay.

So, Shelden Adelson is allowed to play a major role even though he said Nuke Iran. So, Madwoman Albright can say 500,000 dead Iraqi children are OK.
And here’s a gem. US aided Zionists in the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and Zionists still occupy West Bank, but GOP creeps talk like this, and even Liberal Jews don’t complain about the sheer heartlessness of Romney and loathsome Gingrich.

So, clearly, not all minorities are regarded in the same way in the US. Some are ‘more equal than others’, much more so.
Since Jews, homos, and blacks are the holy three, all their hatreds, prejudices, rages, lunacies, and pathologies are favored and even encouraged over the pleas of sanity from other minorities.

Look at this news. In Philly, black thugs attack Asian students, but no national politician or figure talks about it. it is kept as a dirty secret or only make local news.

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/LIVING/10/22/philly.school.asian.american.attacks/

And homogotry rules America. Homos are bigoted against anyone who refuses to believe homo fecal penetration is honorable behavior or that a man who cuts off his dick and gets a fake poon is a ‘woman’. Homos revile such people who say a homo anus is not a sex organ like a vagina. And the Powers-that-be side with the homos and destroy and blacklist anyone who won’t praise homomania. Homos say what they do has equal value as real sex between man and woman. Imagine that. some guy takes a penis up his fecal hole but insists that school children be taught that such behavior has equal bio-sexual meaning as real sex involving proper organs between man and woman. you have to understand that homos are not only calling for tolerance. They are calling for compulsory programs that brainwash children from cradle into believing that a homo’s anus is just as legit a sex organ as a vagina and that Bruce Jenner is a ‘woman’ because he feels like it.
Calling for tolerance(even for wrong ideas and views) is anti-bigotry, and I side with the need to tolerate homos and their way of doing things.
But compelling and forcing all of society to CONFORM to a falsehood is just a new form of bigotry. It’s like we should tolerate those who say 2 + 2 = 5. Let’s not be bigoted against the 5’ers. Let them believe what they want to, just like we should let Creationists believe in their dogma.
But if the state were to force us to agree with the notion that 2 + 2 = 5, that is a new form of bigotry that favors the 5’ers to spread their falsehood and cram it down our throats. It’d be like going from tolerating Creationists to forcing the rest to take classes on Creationism as ‘real science’.

Also, the sheer mendacity of globo-diversity is amazing. Obama and Hillary utterly destroy Muslim nations and unleash a refugee crisis but then pose as big-hearted saviors and defenders of those people. Mass-murdering War Criminals pose as the Face of Tolerance.

Or Hillary will praise Jews in West Bank because Israel has homo ‘pride’ parade… as if such homo-minority supremacism justifies the ongoing imperialist-colonization of Palestinian territories.

So, I agree with you that some minorities are targets of hostility and bigotry.
Indeed, one can argue that white conservatives do constitute a minority in numerical and political terms.

At any rate, much of the problem of hostility/bigotry isn’t a case of majority against minority. Rather, it is about the favored minority against other minorities.
Much of the anti-Muslim fury in America can be traced back to Zionist rule of America. The US has smashed the Muslim world at the behest of the Jewish minority elites(who loathe Arabs and Muslims), and that led to Muslim blowback, and that made many American Muslims.

Also, because the US indulges black thuggery so much(and even sacralizes it), blacks feel emboldened to not only to attack whites but even the unfavored minorities. Blacks know they can get away with it since their sacraliztion means they as a group are untouchable from criticism by the powers-that-really-matter.

Also, even ‘white guilt’ turns into a kind of bigotry because it favors people whom whites feel guilt for over those whites don’t.

Whites have been made to feel guilt about Jews(via the holocaust), so whites have a kneejerk tendency to side with Jews no matter what Jews do. So, if the mighty IDF brutalizes Palestinians, US sides with Israel and hardly cares about even Palestinian civilians massacred in the violence.
And consider how there was no outrage in the US about how Jewish globalists totally looted and raped Russia in the 90s. Instead, even the most ‘progressive’ people chant USA USA because they see the world in terms of holy Jews and holy homos in a holy war against unholy Russia that won’t bend over to homomania.

LOL – Israeli moron – BDS is not against Muslims – but Zionist Jewish mafia is.

BDS is very much against muslims. They see muslims as inferior to Jews. For example they only call on sanctions , boycotts and divestment from Israel while ignoring muslim countries that are a thousand times worse.

If the deaths of 22,000 palestinians over the course of 50 years is enough to call for boycott etc , what about the killing of over a million darfurgis by the sudanese occupying forces ? sudan is killing 50 times as many people , is occupying 180,000 square miles more land than Israel has.

If the deaths of 22,000 palestinians over the course of 50 years is enough to call for boycott etc , what about the killing of 550,000 papuans by the indonesian occupying forces ? Indonesia is killing 20 times as many people , is occupying 160,000 square miles more land and has an occupation going on longer than Israel has.

Let us not forget that BDS accepts slavery as well. Instead of divesting ,boycotting and asking for sanctions from the Islamic republic of Mauritania ,aka the slave capital of the world , they waste time with Israel. Why legitimize slavery . That is truly disgusting. CNN did a nice piece called http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2012/03/world/mauritania.slaverys.last.stronghold/

Obvioulsy BDS finds Muslims to be inferior to Jews and holds them to a much lower standard. BDS is telling us that mass murder, genocide , mass rape , occupation are to be accepted from muslims because we need to lower the bar for inferior peoples.

The comment is more for others than you Ramhat. I don’t expect you to be able to understand these concepts due to the high incidence of birth defects and mental retardation so prevalent in pakistanis of islamic faith .http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/health/children/11723308/First-cousin-marriages-in-Pakistani-communities-leading-to-appalling-disabilities-among-children.html

There are a lot of first-cousin marriages in certain communities, particularly among Pakistanis

. Medical data previously suggested that while British Pakistanis were responsible for 3 per cent of all births, they accounted for 30 per cent of British children born with a genetic illness.

But on the whole it just seems like such a stupid, stupid, terrible thing to do,

It really makes Muslims look stupid.

And there is nothing that many Israelis LOVE MORE, than making Muslims look stupid and evil..

Its an essential part of their “terror industry”.

And it seems like there are so very many extremist Jews out there who actively engage in staging these incidents because they really enjoy making Muslims look terrible and stupid…..

and they really enjoy it when people hate Muslims because it feeds into their persecution of Palestinians, and make Israelis feel better that they hate Muslims and kill Palestinians to steal their land..

Israel also secures crucial “counter terror” contracts from countries that suffer from these stupid attacks.

It has been a Multi, multi Billion dollar boon for the entire Israeli “security”‘ industry.

It is Israels number one export, so they really NEED these events to occur to keep the money coming in.

It seems a thousand times more important for Israel’s global counter terror apparatus to have these incidents occur…periodically ….and make sure everyone hates and fears Muslims….than for Muslims to engage in such stupid stunts….so they can make the world hate them and bomb them even more than they do now.

    Is that correct too?

that god-like man of inviolate character and the only man for whom Americans celebrate a day in his honor

was perfectly willing to toss the Palestinians under the bus, if it meant that the Jews would help him with his agenda

    and that says it all

the homosexuals are willing to see Bradley ( Chelsea ) Manning rot in prison, because they know the score, and the (Jewish supremacist) PTB are on their side in pushing for a society that normalizes their penchant for little boys

it’s like the way the feminists allow Bubba to be a serial rapist and face-**** interns in the Oval Office ~ because he supports their agenda

the left knows that Jewish Zionists (that perpetrate all these false flags and foist all these wars) support all of their causes. Radical homosexuals, minority encroachments upon Western nations and societies and cultures.. Yea!

does that mean the left will to go along with brown people being humiliated and genocided and butchered and worse by (Jewish) white supremacists? Yes, it does. Because they’re willing to make that trade off.

Iraqis and Libyans and Syrians get slaughtered, but Muslims get to rape Swedish and British school girls and have their way in Europe generally, with the authorities terrified of offending them, because of it would be racist to do so

that is a trade off that they’re willing to make

just check out how many Muslims support Hillary, knowing she is going to rain down hell on earth upon their peoples and countries.

It’s a price they’re willing to pay for the hegemony all minorities are enjoying as they pick over the scraps of the Western dead patriarchy like so many vultures and jackals.

if given the choice between allowing the patriarchy (white men) to regain control of their lands, just imagine what would happened to the British aristocracy when pedophilia is no longer tolerated?

that would be a veritable, virtual holocaust for the ruling classes in England and the US (and the Netherlands and France and Canada and others)

are the liberals in England willing to see their country destroyed and ripped asunder and turned into a police state- in order to enjoy some temporary advantage over the patriarchy? (Christian/European/Western) sentiments of tradition and heritage and honor and virtue?

    Hell yes they are!

I suspect most homosexuals and feminists and parasitic minority classes would see virtually every last Palestinian bulldozed under rubble if it means they can continue to enjoy first-class citizenship and see the hated white, male, patriarchy repudiated and humiliated.

and so would all the liberals and assorted parasitic minorities. They all know the wars are based on lies and that millions of people are suffering unimaginable horrors and loss and that the official 911 narrative stinks to high heaven, but considering that it’s the Zionists who are behind it all, and how the Zionists are ALSO behind the death of whitey ~then they’re willing to say ‘fuck it, if it means the hated white man gets it in the arse, then they won’t lose any sleep over the loss of some brown people in the Middle East.

In response to your central point, I think there is a very active and a very large authentic “left” left.

I would not be surprised if it has not grown even larger over the last few decades.

Evidence of this was seen, most dramatically, in the overwhelming support for Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primaries.

But the Neocons have done a superb job in circling their “war wagons” around every single organ of information dissemination, as well as as all the corridors of power and accountability, they have effectively neutered the political power of the authentic “left”.

Certainly, the exposure of the DNC party bosses, in deliberately rigging the nomination process in favor of (perpetual war forever ) Queen Hillary drives home this point more than anything.

The fact the media was able to deflect away from this immense and pernicious fraud, by citing the(bogus) Putin infiltration, shows how all-controlling the Neocons have become in American discourse.

The left is there, Mr Roberts, but like all other things since 9-11, their voice, message and values have been wholly obscured by the primacy and power of the greater Neocon agenda.

The “Left,” or at least what was called the “New Left” back in the 1960s, was always heavily Jewish. Truth to tell, many were avowed Communists, and would so admit if questioned closely. Others did not venture quite that far, ideologically.

In today’s world, (post 9/11) many of the foreign policy aggressions of the U.S. at least tangentially benefit the Zionist State of Israel. Most (though not all) members of the Jewish tribe (and it is a tribe with matriarchal lineage, not a religious confession) can be assumed at this time to have at least some Zionist sympathies.

Given the above, it is highly unlikely such people will “queer the deal” by harshly criticizing U.S. government foreign policy which is favorable to their cherished dream. Contrast, if you will, the public statements of Professor Ch0msky in modern times, as opposed to his statements during the Vietnam War era. Professor Chomsky is, of course, a Zionist Jew who has lived in Israel.

Personally, I regard Zionism as a bankrupt 19th century political idea which belongs on the trash heap of history, along with its equally bankrupt intellectual cousin, Marxism.

Perhaps we can hope that, in the fullness of time, wiser leaders of the Jewish tribe will reject the flawed political ideology which is presently causing them and others so much grief, and which has no hope of success in the long run.

In the meantime, we should always ask the usual question, “Cui bono?” with regard to U. S. foreign policy. Do not expect those who benefit from a policy to rail against it.

“They called it war on inflation which among bankers is the code word for high wages. “

You obviously never worked in banking. I did, and I can assure you that I and everyone I knew were too busy obsessing about our own compensation to care one whit about the compensation of Jane and Joe on the street.

We wanted everyone we dealt directly with, the so-called captains of industry sitting in the C-Suite to throw business our way, so we did everything in our power to help them line their pockets (IPOs, stock repurchases funded with bond issues, stock option execution financing, etc), but just to be perfectly clear, the average American captain of industry was greedier than anyone could have ever imagined, so when we told them that earnings were what really mattered (hey, it’s what pumped up the value of their options), these were the creative evil geniuses who figured out how to off-shore good paying jobs. I will offer Jack Welch at GE in the 1990s as a prime example of someone who figured out you could replace High-earning American programmers with Indians and take a shitload of money to the bottom line, and Neutron Jack was hardly alone.

The Soviet collapse deprived the left of its belief that there was an alternative to American “democratic capitalism.” The Soviet collapse also disheartened the left because the collapse removed any constraint on Washington’s unilateralism.

Like the Soviet system was/is a viable alternative for the working classes? History proves otherwise. Many liberals and leftists looked to the Soviet Union for inspiration while it was extant which IMO cast aspersions on them. I’ve never figured out why PCR has a fetish with Lenin, Marx and Marxism.

The left has now re-grouped as the PC police and SJW’s dedicated to radically transforming or destroying white, Western nations. Honest, genuine leftists have been relegated to the fringes by these 21st century Bolsheviks.

Of course, the neoconservatives and contemporary left converge when it comes to the imposition of multiracial/multiethnic democracy in the middle east and around the world at the barrel of a gun.

    Rurik,

I just got finished reading a short commentary in Mondoweiss on the wiki leaks dump and alleged “Putin hack” of DNC emails alluding to election fraud in the Hillary coronation.

And I must confess its “deja-vu, all over again”.

I recall the exact same crescendo of responses to the wiki leaks dump of aerial footage of one of our gunships in Iraq mowing down a band of reporters and kid in a van.

The story WAS the ruthless slaughter of civilians, in broad daylight , by our troops over there who were supposed to be heroically rescuing them from a brutal dictator who ruthlessly slaughtered civilians.

But our media so contorted the reality of what we are supposed to “care about”,that the front line news , which ran for weeks ,was who was responsible for the leak of the footage..not the murder in cold blood of seven Iraqi civilians……(leading to the eventual indictment of Chelsea Manning) .

Isn’t the story, which is of signature importance to every American who cares about the power of their OWN vote, the fact the entire nomination of Queen Hillary was due to massive and systemic voter fraud ?

Isn’t that what is truly important to us? not who dumped the tapes exposing it.

Yet our media has gone on , day and night, like so many chickens with their heads cut off, Putin dump/not Putin dump….Putin dump/not Putin dump…etc etc etc. for weeks….like who really gives a horses ass who dumped to Wiki…I mean really.

The important thing, obscured beyond any semblance of recognition, is the MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD..and the stealing of the election, by the party bosses , for Queen Hillary.

    Do you see this too?

Is our media, through deliberate obfuscation, suggesting that Americans NOT concern themselves with voter fraud ?

Is this what is left of the integrity of our main stream news ?

Alexander, you seem like a relatively reasonable guy, so please try to understand:

Paul Craig Roberts is not claiming that the incident in Nice was a “false flag attack.”

He’s claiming that there was no attack. He, followed by Rurik & RudyM below, is claiming that it was all some sort of gigantic theatrical production. The truck never really hit anybody, the driver of the truck was not really killed in a hail of bullets at the end of his run, all those pictures you’ve seen of bodies lying in the street, grief-stricken relatives, etc., etc., etc. – it was all an act.

An act in which literally thousands of tourists gathered for the Bastille Day festivities in Nice took part, along with pretty much the entire French Nation, from top to bottom, from left to right.

And not one has blown the whistle on this imposture!

It seems that every terrorist event is now being passed off as a false flag operation.

This is getting to be out and out silly. Any unanswered question becomes fodder for a false flag theory.

With that said, I believe very little of what government tells us about these events. They often tell a partial truth – but never the whole truth.

You are right , they sure do.

But in our era where fraud is the signature characteristic of all our endeavors, why should you be so surprised ?

Considering that today”perception, not fact, is reality” perhaps you should be asking which terror event is actually “authentic” and not a false flag ?

    Right ?

I would not be surprised, if PCR, who has spent considerable time studying these issues, actually looks for some kernel of Authenticity when a terror event occurs, not for false flag indicators…

Sometimes it helps , Art, to see things through a different lens.

Lets assume a “Muslim” terrorist is aware, to a certainty, that his detonation of a bomb in Brussels , Madrid, or Houston will inevitably reward his arch enemy, Israel, with 100 million dollars in fresh counter terror security contracts,
lend itself to excessive persecution towards Muslims in the region where his bomb went off,

and reward US defense contractors with 70 million dollars in fresh ordnance contracts to bomb to smithereens his home country….

Is it really his first choice to commit such an act ?

    and if so, WHY ?

Where, exactly, is the upside for the “Muslim” ?

The story WAS the ruthless slaughter of civilians, in broad daylight , by our troops

yep Alex, it is deja vu all over again, and it will continue to be as long as they (Zionist Jews) own and control the Western world’s media.

when war sow Victoria Nuland was recorded talking to an Estonian diplomat and telling him who was going to be president of Ukraine following their violent putsch- no one in the media had any concern whatsoever for the fact that it was our own State Dept. that had orchestrated the coup, and were installing leaders into strategic positions like so many quislings. Their only concern was how untoward it was for Russia to release the audio tape.

In that case it was Russia, but all Russia did was point out the US government’s underhanded treachery and world-class murderous mendacity.

just as Chelsea Manning exposed an atrocity and war crime, it’s he who’s rotting in jail for his integrity

they go after the whistle blowers instead of the criminals who the whistle blowers expose

the entire edifice of our fecal government and media and institutions of the entire Western world have been corrupted and bought off. No one dares to even say a word about it lest they’re ruined or worse. Like that journalist who simply mentioned that Jews control the media.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/01/rick-sanchez-fired-from-c_n_747607.html

no one doubts that what Sanchez said is true, in fact it’s because what he said was true that he got the axe.

and if I was saying this on a kosher “conservative” forum like Free Republic, they’d ban me in a nanosecond for my temerity.

so yea, just like with Ron Paul, the sham and perfidy of the respective political parties in the US (and other Western nations) is not the story, it’s those who expose it that we’re supposed to rail at.

but since they own the media, it isn’t the murderers in that helicopter that people are angry with; it’s Chelsea Manning. It isn’t the people who’re waging all these illegal and monstrous wars of aggression all over the place that’s the problem, rather it’s the guy who got drunk and mentioned who’s behind all the wars that people are supposed to hate.

I suppose it goes all the way back to that guy’s little fable of the ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’.

most adults have allowed themselves to become corrupt out of necessity. The underlings in the Catholic church or BBC or Penn State athletic departments who knew of the culture of child rape, but said nothing. They’re like the underlings in the State Dept. and Pentagon who know of the ubiquitous criminality and culture of imperial treachery, but say nothing. Is there any doubt what would happed to them if they spoke up?

Nice thought provoking essay from a fine writer & thinker, PC Roberts.

The left was absorbed by the Oligarch’s Democrat Gang (‘Party’). It started during WW II, when the Stalin’s bureaucrats ordered the American Left into (to enter) the Democrat organization, (supposedly to take it over – or at least to direct/push it and FD Roosevelt to most effectively fight the Axis).

After WW II, the Left never left the controls of the imperialist Dem gang. A few Stalinist & Trotskyist splinters were allowed a pretend Vanguard Party existence, so that they would absorb, and neutralize the stragglers, who were not yet under the control of the Dem gang Oligarchs. In 2016, these splinters serve as resting homes for the mentally impaired/mentally ill.

Yes, today, it is a misdirection to believe there exists a ‘left’ or ‘right’ in any political reality. It matters not whether one is left, or right, – but whether one is Right or Wrong.

We need to concentrate on Restoring our Republic, which was assassinated on November 22, 1963, along with our last constitutional President, John F. Kennedy, in the coup d’etat in Dallas.

For the restoration of our Democratic Republic, and our lovely Sovereign Nation, with our banners and our Constitution, and its Bill of Rights proudly waving in the breeze!

When DNC staffer Seth Rich was gunned down near his affluent neighborhood in Washington, D.C., on July 10, theories exploded in the news media about Rich’s possible involvement in the WikiLeaks dump of nearly 20,000 Democratic National Committee emails – some of the messages suggesting that the Democratic Party favored nominee Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders from the start.

to the point, he had one of an interminable number of columns by nine one one anti-truthers (so to speak), including one of the main apologist/’engineers’ who made up bullshit scenarios to explain bullshit NIST theories… also, in a most disdainful and arrogant op/ed, was a joann wojezldoiasdjfo (sorry, she had a polish-looking last name that i’m not sure she could spell until sixth grade) who proceeded to both tar the whole movement with the holodeck fantasies of some, AND denigrate some of the science/physics/explosive technology aspects she obviously did not have a clue about…
sent her a nastygram essentially taking her to task, next thing i know alex himownself is namechecking me in a column where he excoriates truthers for the hundredth time… fucker… wrote him back at one point daring him to point out one false fact or claim that i had made in relation to the issue, and of course, never heard from him…
so, yet another example of the -frankly- cowardice of the left to confront uncomfortable truths…
(not to let the right off the hook, but that is not the point of this column…)
thanks again for your efforts and testimony to the end times of Empire…
too bad there will be no HBO mini-series…
    there won’t be HBO…
    there won’t be teevee…
    there won’t be fucking food…

so, mr. roberts, do you suggest maintaining an economic policy that has created the greatest wealth disparity in developed nations? keeping banks deregulated? corporate welfare? predatory capitalism?

If one looks closely, it becomes obvious that “bank deregulation” is just another aspect of corporate welfare (a redundant term) and of predatory capitalism.

    Say what?

Here’s basically how that works. All so called regulation is made for the benefit of the big boys and that includes banks. In other words, the losers in bank “deregulation” are invariably the small banks while the gainers are the big boys. More regulation only accelerates and consolidates the process.

In like manner, the small businesses and corporations get regulated out of the picture while the big boys get subsidized, bailed out and have wars initiated for their entertainment and profit while the rest of us pay.

Government is not the prol’s and peasant’s Messiah.

PCR really did it this time….dementia. However,

The Left, and I was around it from commie time to new left time, to the present, has had its ‘narrative.’

The old and new left both were economistic although the new left introduced some more jewish hokum…psychoanalysis. Then it went in the Gramscian direction of ‘telling a better story’ than just old capitalist exploitation.

The new left largely became cultures… that Culture is the problem. Change the culture and Liberation is at hand (!).

Hence, ‘Identity’ became the order of the day….it was no longer capitalist social relations. Oppression became the name of the Game. The solution was to identify your Oppressor. Femmies discovered thet men were the Oppressor.

Race too became the center ring of the Lefty circus. The femmie thang has pretty much run its course, although White Men are still the enemy for some gals, and of course the narrative of White racist! Oppression remains the main event, shouldering aside feminism, and the various other Oppressions du jour.

Now that queers can marry, they seem to have largely shut up and shucks, even Trump loves them, so what other chip can they put on their shoulders? They just have to deal with their own problems….human all too human. Violence in the Gay community? O my god.

So now the Left is almost totally defined by Race . From economic Oppression, to femi stuff, to odds and ends of protest about just about any wart they can find on White skin, and now on to Race. Race!

Everybody wants some kind of Story to orient around, at least brighter people tend to do so. More normal people, of average intelligence, just accept the way things are…Fate, and all that. Actually fate is a good explanation…the fate of your genes. You were not born blue of eye and blonde of hair? Rage against the Machine, but it is useless…You also may not get into Harvard…rage again.

Pogo…I have met the Enemy, and he is me, or us. Something like that. But the Left demands Liberation, fundamentally racial liberation. Fat liberation can wait. Ditto Looks Liberation…but not too long. I am ugly….this is Unfair. Kill beautiful people, or tax them, and make them pay for skin jobs for the ugly. Sooooooo….

The races are radically unequal, and it is because of genetics, evolution , and the rest of it.

The Left refuses such a view because it offers no Solution. Michael Levin, the NY city college guy said, if a problem has no solution it is not a problem.

That is a mouthful and a brainful. The Left will never get it because the Left is generally stupid, and its brighter folks have seized on Culture as the Answer. They argue like jewish lawyers, no matter what evidence is adduced, they always have Culture to counter the overwhelming evidence of racial differences.

You cannot persuade a crazy person. Offer all the evidence ….with zero evidence to the contrary, and they go on and on. The Left is a Religion of Equality. It is insane. Jehovah was insane, but that is another issue.

So, the Left dreams even more emphatically that Heaven is just around the next racial amalgamation…intermarriage is the answer, etc. We will have a Rainbow humanity. Race discrimination will disappear.

Not a chance, per history, biology, evolution, human psychology in general: we are tribal, we prefer genetic similar, the global North is smarter and the global South is dumber…facts, facts, facts.

The Religion of Race Equality is leading to civil war. In fact it has started.

So this is what happened to the Left. True, it joined hands with Capital for Globalism and Decolonialism was Big for awhile. The Mugabees and Idi Amins, etc. have helped sanity to return to white lefties…a little.

But not much…it is Culture, Culture…and of course CULTURE is White Man culture. The only cure is to kill Whites, and BLM loonies chant, etc. Death to the West. And then the international brigades of muslims have taken up the same defense. Defense?? yes defense psychologically speaking. Muzzies average IQ is 85, as dumb as American Blacks.

So the Left has gotten crazier than the commies. The commies back in the 20s and 30s scared white folks into fascism. The race-equality anti-fas are scaring the White folks again, and sufficiently frightened, we will be come fascists again. Whatever fascism would be under modern conditions. Norman Rockwell America to the left nut cases is fascism.

Expulsion of third world peoples will come. Or Whites will be subordinated and killed. Whites don’t take shit lying down. We got almost all the guns, for when we are outvoted by the low-life.
Thus the Left is doing it again, provoking a fascist response. What the hey? You want to kill us off? We will kill you off first.

biological , evolutionary logic. Quit whining.

  177. Your dismissal of the Nice (France) truck attack as a “false flag” smells a little like bullshit. Photos of the truck show the front end bearing considerable damage apart from the bullet holes dutifully supplied by the police. No blood on the pavement? A few years ago I hit a deer while driving at 70 mph, and there was very little blood on the pavement where the deer’s carcass lay immediately after the collision. The damage to our car was limited mostly to the windshield being smashed and the side rear-view mirror being sheared off, damage approximating in its severity that of the grillwork on the front of that truck. I had expected the car to be totaled, but the damage was repairable, and we still use that car. Truck bumpers tend to be considerably more durable than the plastic of which most passenger cars is made these days.

“The Left” is a bit of a nebulous term. We’re here, but we represent quite a broad swath of the political spectrum between Bernie Sanders (slightly left of center) and CPUSA, with probably a few dozen or more people considering themselves even to the left of them. I am a Green / Working Families Party / democratic socialist, about where I think most of us are clustered right now on the left half of the political spectrum. As you may recall, the Green Party’s Jill Stein offered to yield her slot as our party’s presidential nominee to Bernie Sanders (a self-described democratic socialist) after it became apparent that Bernie would fall short of winning the Democratic Party’s nomination. Unfortunately, he declined her offer. While our (Green Party’s) values and principles do not align 100% with Sanders’ platform, there is a significant amount of overlap — enough for many of us Greens to have supported his candidacy even at the expense of our own party’s then-presumptive nominee. Personally, I’m probably closer to Gloria La Riva than to Jill Stein, but Gloria is an even smaller blip on the corporate media’s radar than Jill and so is even less electable within the current regime’s rigged system.

Our problem isn’t that we are not here, it is that we have been systematically marginalized by the mainstream media, which many of us view as tools of the corporatist regime that controls the United States and indeed much of the West. I know many leftists who are registered Democrats, not because they are in love with DLC / DNC Neoliberalism or are jumping up and down with joy over Hillary’s candidacy, but because they actually believe that no party to the left of the Democrats has a snowflake’s chance. (And I think that belief is a self-fulfilling prophecy!)

I do agree that the fall of the Soviet Union helped the corporate media silence us — and that the USSR’s dismantling has been dispiriting to many of us who are to the left of the Democrats. We already had been linked by the establishment’s propaganda purveyors with the USSR pretty much from 1917 onward anyway, and so it fit neatly into their narrative that we (the “American Left”) are — like the Soviet Communists — a bunch of losers. Such thinking tends to be contagious, even if it originates with propagandists of dubious credibility, and we do indeed seem to be having trouble formulating a path forward in the 21st Century. The perennial struggle between the “haves” and the “have-nots” is painted as “archaic” and dismissed as “class warfare” by the corporate media, and we have yet to break through the psychological barriers they have erected.

What I personally think would be helpful is a MERGER among those of us who call ourselves “democratic socialists” — Green Party, Socialist Alternative, Working Families Party, SPUSA, and others — to mount a more unified front against the corporatist establishment. We need to coalesce and unify around our shared values and aspirations, or we will continue to be easily marginalized.
