Russia’s president is a refreshing contrast to the liars who inhabit Western governments and Western media. The agenda of the Russian government is peace and international cooperation under the rule of law. Washington’s agenda is hegemony.

President Putin endeavors to lead the world to peace, while the neoconservatives who control Washington’s foreign policy try to drive the world to war. Contrast the crazed statements that flow from Washington comparing President Putin to Hitler, suggesting his assassination, and calling for shooting down Russian military aircraft with President Putin’s appeal that Washington abandon its hegemonic agenda and submit to international law and international cooperation. As President Putin has emphasized, for Washington “international cooperation” means submission to Washington’s will.

President Putin repeatedly states that governments must govern in accord with the people and not function as a decree-issuing body in accord with interest groups disrespectful of the people.

Throughout the West we see the increasingly unresponsive behavior of government. In the United States careful studies conclude that, despite elections, the American people have essentially zero input into the policies decided in Washington. In Greece, the government is coerced to impose on the Greek people policies dictated by large German banks supported by the German and EU governments. In Portugal, the socialists who won the election were told by the conservative president that they would not be permitted to form a government. In the UK, a senior military official stated that the military would not permit Jeremy Corbyn to form a Labour government should the Labour Party win the election. The United States government threatens the governments of Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Argentina for representing the interests of the voters who put them in office instead of Washington’s interests. The United States government has destroyed American civil liberty with its unconstitutional mass surveillance, indefinite detention without charges, and murder of US citizens without due process of law. Dissent itself is in the process of being criminalized.

Just looking at the basic facts makes it impossible to conclude that the West has “freedom and democracy” or that Washington’s bombs and invasions have brought “freedom and democracy” to Africa and the Middle East.

Every American can get a conclusive lesson about where moral leadership resides by becoming familiar with Putin’s speeches.

    Yes, Putin speaks honestly, so Mossad and CIA of Jew-S-A, the banana republic of Israel, decided to kill 200+ innocent Russians by putting a bomb (or other means) to destroy a Russian plane and in retaliation for the Russian involvement in Syria.

    Israel and Jew-S-A are truly the world’s biggest terrorists. I will not be surprised if Putin retaliates by having some Muslims put a bomb in an American/Israeli passenger plane in retaliation.

    “Vladimir Putin Speaks Honestly”

    For the most part I agree.

  3. Mr. Putin is in favor of his own country — an admirable quality in a leader, sadly lacking in our own. But you can visit the grave of Alexander Litvenenko and ask the cadaver whether Mr. Putin is a nice guy.

    {But you can visit the grave of Alexander Litvenenko and ask the cadaver whether Mr. Putin is a nice guy.}

    Where in the article did Mr. Roberts say President Putin is a “nice guy”?
    And do you have any proof that President Putin or the Russian government had anything to do with the death of traitor Alexander Litvinenko, other than false allegations by the lying MSM ?

    I have proof that President Obama ordered the murder of a US citizen and his 17 year old son.
    No charges, no trial, no conviction, no sentencing to death by a US court: just an execution of US citizen for railing against the US in speeches.
    That’s right: an American and his teenage son were murdered on orders of POTUS Obama for proselytizing against US.

    Maybe you should talk to the cadavers of Anwar Al-Awlaki and his 16-year-old son, and ask them if the Nobel Peace (!) Prize given to Pres Obama should be rescinded before you inquire whether President Putin is a nice guy or not.

    (No he is not: he never claimed to be. He is not the one who was given a Nobel Peace Prize, yet goes around the world killing people……)

  5. Mr. Roberts, you’ve done some good work in the past, but you’ve gone over the edge.

    Putin is no more honest than Obama. He claims no Russian Troops are the Donbas, but troops have been captured with Russian Military ID and Russian Internal Passports. The man is as dangerous for his own country as Hitler was for Germany.

    Not unless we are stupid enough to believe that and try and stop him in an area we really don’t have any real interest in. Yeah, I know Clinton signed a treaty. Maybe it is time we started actually thinking about the implications of enforcing such treaties before we sign them.

  8. @Avery

    Russia isn’t threatening and warmongering around the world. The U.S. and Israel are.

  9. Avery says:

    Wow: I was wandering how long before the ‘Hitler’ comparison was invoked.

    {He claims no Russian Troops are the Donbas, but troops have been captured with Russian Military ID and Russian Internal Passports.}

    You actually think Russian military would send Russian troops or agents – if they did – into Ukraine with Russian military IDs and Russian internal Passports ?

    As to Putin and Russian government being honest or not: if they are lying through their teeth, I say good for them and it’s about time.
    The Neocon snakes have being lying, cheating, and breaking their promises to Russia and Russian people since the breakup of USSR.

    Way past time for President Putin and Russian people to give a taste of their own medicine to lying, scheming, warmongering anti-American Neocon filth that have infested and corrupted our American government.

  10. We get our “news” from various news agencies, and they ALL lie.
    What do we really KNOW ?
    I believe US news is as much propaganda as Russian news.
    America used to be.
    What is it now ?
