Pundits have declared a “New Cold War.” If only! The Cold War was a time when leaders focused on reducing tensions between nuclear powers. What we have today is much more dangerous: Washington’s reckless and irresponsible aggression toward the other major nuclear powers, Russia and China.

During my lifetime American presidents worked to defuse tensions with Russia. President John F. Kennedy worked with Khrushchev to defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis. President Richard Nixon negotiated SALT I and the anti-ballistic missile treaty, and Nixon opened to Communist China. President Carter negotiated SALT II. Reagan worked with Soviet leader Gorbachev and ended the Cold War. The Berlin Wall came down. Gorbachev was promised that in exchange for the Soviet Union’s agreement to the reunification of Germany, NATO would not move one inch to the East.

Peace was at hand. And then the neoconservatives, rehabilitated by the Israeli influence in the American press, went to work to destroy the peace that Reagan and Gorbachev had achieved. It was a short-lasting peace. Peace is costly to the profits of the military/security complex. Washington’s gigantic military and security interests are far more powerful than the peace lobby.

Since the advent of the criminal Clinton regime, every American president has worked overtime to raise tensions with Russia and China.

China is confronted with the crazed and criminal Obama regime’s declaration of the “pivot to Asia” and the prospect of the US Navy controlling the sea lanes that provision China.

Russia is even more dangerously threatened with US nuclear missile bases on her border and with US and NATO military bases stretching from the Baltics to the Black Sea.

Russia is also threatened with endless provocations and with demonization that is clearly intended to prepare Western peoples for war against “the Russian threat.” Extreme and hostile words stream from the mouth of the Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, who has called the president of Russia “the new Hitler” and threatened Russia with military force. Insouciant Americans are capable of electing this warmonger who would bring Armageddon upon the earth.

Yesterday, Israel’s voice in the US, the New York Times, added to Hillary’s demonization of the most responsible leader in the world with this editorial: “Vladimir Putin’s Outlaw State.” This irresponsible and propagandistic editorial, no doubt written by the neoconservatives, blames all the troubles in Ukraine and Syria on Putin. The NYT presstitutes know that they have no case, so they drag in the US-orchestrated false report on MH-17 recently released by Washington’s Netherlands vassal.

This report is so absurd as to cast doubt on whether intelligence exists anywhere in the Western world. Russia and the now independent Russian provinces that have separated from Ukraine have no interest whatsoever in shooting down a Malaysian airliner. But despite this fact, Russia, according to the orchesrated report, sent a surface-to-air missile, useful only at high altitude, an altitude far higher than the Ukrainian planes fly that are attacking Russians in the separated republics, to the “rebels” so that the “rebels” could shoot down a Malaysian airliner. Then the missile system was sent back to Russia.

How insouciant does a person have to be to believe this propaganda from the New York Times?

Does the New York Times write this nonsense because it is bankrupt and lives on CIA subsidies?

It is obvious that the Malaysian airliner was destroyed for the purpose of blaming Russia so that Washington could force Europe to cooperate in applying illegal sanctions on Russia in an attempt to destabilize Russia, a country that placed itself in the way of Washington’s determination to destabilize Syria and Iran.

In a recent speech, the mindless cipher, who in his role as US Secretary of Defense serves as a front man for the armaments industry, declared the one trillion dollars (1,000 billion dollars or 1,000,000 million dollars, that is, one million dollars one million times) that Washington is going to spend of Americans’ money for nuclear force renewal is so we can “get up in the morning to go to school, to go to work, to live our lives, to dream our dreams and to give our children a better future.”

But Russia’s response to this buildup in Washington’s strategic nuclear weapons is, according to Defense Secretary Aston B. Carter, “saber rattling” that “raises serious questions about Russia’s leaders commitment to strategic stability.”

Do you get the picture? Or are you an insouciant American? Washington’s buildup is only so that we can get up in the morning and go to school and work, but Russia’s buildup in response to Washington’s buildup upsets “strategic stability.”

What the Pentagon chief means is that Russia is supposed to sit there and let Washington gain the upper hand so Washington can maintain “strategic stability” by dictating to Russia. By not letting Washington prevail, Russia is upsetting “strategic stability.”

US Secretary of State John Kerry, who has been broken and tamed by the neoconservatives, recently displayed the same point of view with his “ultimatum” to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. In effect, Kerry told Lavrov that Russia must stop helping Syria resist the jihadist forces and allow the US-supported ISIS to regain the initiative and reduce Syria to the chaos in which Washington left Libya and Iraq. Otherwise, Kerry said that the agreement to cooperate is off.

There can be no cooperation between the US and Russia over Syria, because the two government’s goals are entirely different. Russia wants to defeat ISIS, and the US wants to use ISIS to overthrow Assad. This should be clear to the Russians. Yet they still enter into “agreements” that Washington has no intention of keeping. Washington breaks the agreements and blames Russia, thus creating more opportunities to paint Russia as untrustworthy. Without Russia’s cooperation in setting themselves up for blame, Russia’s portrait would not be so black.

On September 28, 2016, the New York Times gave us a good example of how Washington’s propaganda system works. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/29/world/middleeast/russias-brutal-bombing-of-aleppo-may-be-calculated-and-it-may-be-working.html

ORDER IT NOW

The headline set the stage: “Russia’s Brutal Bombing of Aleppo May Be Calculated, and It May Be Working.” According to the NYT report, Russia was not bombing ISIS. Russia was “destroying hospitals and schools, choking off basic supplies, and killing aid workers and hundereds of civilians.”

The NYT asks: “What could possibly motivate such brutality?”

The NYT answers: Russia is “massacring Aleppo’s civilians as part of a calculated strategy . . . designed to pressure [moderates] to ally themselves with extremists,” thereby discrediting the forces that Washington has sent to overthrow Syria and to reduce the country to chaos.

When America’s Newspaper of Record is nothing but a propaganda ministry, what is America?

Pundits keep explaining that Washington’s 15 year old wars in the Middle East are about controlling the routing of energy pipelines. Little doubt this is a factor as it brings on board powerful American energy and financial interests. But this is not the motive for the wars. Washington, or the neoconservatives who control the US government, intend to destabilize the Russian Federation, the former Soviet Central Asian countries, and China’s Muslim province by adding Syria and then Iran to the chaos that Washington has created in Iraq and Libya. If Washington succeeds in destroying Syria as it succeeded in destroying Libya and Iraq, Iran becomes the last buffer for Russia. If Washington then knocks off Iran, Russia is set up for destabilization by jihadists operating in Muslim regions of the Russian Federation.

This is clear as day. Putin understands this. But Russia, which existed under Washington’s domination during the Yeltsin years, has been left threatened by Washington’s Fifth Columns in Russia. There are a large number of foreign-financed NGOs in Russia that Putin finally realized were Washington’s agents. These Washington operatives have been made to register as foreign-financed, but they are still functioning.

Russia is also betrayed by a section of its elite who are allied economically, politically, and emotionally with Washington. I have termed these Russians “America Worshipers.” Their over-riding cause is to have Russia integrated with the West, which means to be a vassal of Washington.

Washington’s money even seems to have found its way into Russian “think tanks” and academic institutions. According to this report (https://sputniknews.com/world/20160929/1045838744/russia-united-states-asia-pacific-region.html), two think tanks, one Russian one American, possibly funded by Washington’s money, have concluded that “US,Russia ‘Have far more common interests than differences’ in Asia-Pacific.”

This “academic report” is a direct assault on the Russian/Chinese alliance. It makes one wonder whether the report was funded by the CIA. The Russian media fall for the “common interest” propaganda, because they desire to be included in the West. Like Russian academics, the Russian media know English, not Chinese. Russia’s history since Peter the Great is with the West. So that is where they want to be. However, these America Worshipping Russians cannot understand that to be part of the West means being Washington’s vassal, or if they do understand the price, they are content with a vassal’s status like Germany, Great Britain, France, and the rest of the European puppet states.

To be a vassal is not an unusual choice in history. For example, many peoples chose to be Rome’s vassals, so those elements in Russia who desire to be Washington’s vassal have precedents for their decision.

To reduce Russia’s status to Washington’s vassal, we have Russian-US cooperation between the Moscow-based Institute of World Economy and International Relations and the US-based International Institute for Strategic Studies. These two co-conspirators against Russian sovereignty are working to destroy Russia’s strategic alliance with China and to create a US-Russian Pacific Alliance in its place. One of the benefits, the joint report declares, is “maintaining freedom of navigation and maritime security.”

“Freedom of navigation” is Washington’s term for controlling the sea lanes that supply China. So now we have a Russian institute supporting Washington’s plans to cut off resource flow into China. This idiocy on the part of the Moscow-based Institute of World Economy and International Relations is unlikely to reassure China about its alliance with Russia. If the alliance is broken, Washington can more easily deal with the two constraints on its unilateralism.

Additionally, the joint report says that Moscow could cooperate with Washington in confidence-building measures to resolve territorial disputes in the Asia-Pacific region. What this means is that Russia should help Washington pressure China to give up its territorial claims.

One cannot but wonder if the Moscow-based Institute of World Economy and International Relations is a CIA front. If it is not, the CIA is getting a free ride.

The foreign policy of the United States rests entirely on propagandistic lies. The presstitute media, a Ministry of Propaganda, establishes an orchestrated reality by treating lies as fact. News organizations around the world, accustomed as they are to following Washington’s lead, echo the lies as if they are facts.

Thus Washington’s lies–such as Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction, Iranian nukes, Assad’s use of chemical weapons, Russian invasions–become the reality.

Russia’s very capable spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, understands that Washington uses the Western media to control explanations by shaping public opinion. She terms it a “reality show.” However, Zakharova thinks the problem is that Washington misuses “international relations and international platforms for addressing internal issues.”http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article45564.htm By this she means that Obama’s foreign policy failures have made him hysterical and impudent as he strives to leave a legacy, and that American/Russian relations are poisoned by the US presidential campaign that is painting Trump as a “Putin stooge” for not seeing the point of conflict with Russia.

ORDER IT NOW

The US presstitutes are disreputable. This morning NPR presented us with a report on Chinese censorship of the media as if this was something that never happens in the US. Yet NPR not only censors the news, but uses disinformation as a weapon in behalf of Washington and Israel’s agendas. Anyone who depends on NPR is presented a very controlled picture of the world. And do not forget German newspaper editor Udo Ulfkotte, who admits he planted stories for the CIA in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitnung and says that there is no significant European journalist who doesn’t do the same thing. https://www.amazon.com/Journalists-Hire-How-Buys-News/dp/1944505474/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1475243325&sr=1-1&keywords=udo+ulfkotte

The situation is far more serious than Zakharova realizes. Russians seem unable to get their minds around the fact that the neoconservatives are serious about imposing Washington’s hegemony on the rest of the world. The neoconservative doctrine declares that it is the principal goal of US foreign policy to prevent the rise of any country that would have sufficient power to serve as a check on American unilateralism. This neoconservative doctrine puts Russia and China in Washington’s crosshairs. If the Russian and Chinese governments do not yet understand this, they are not long for this world.

The neoconservative doctrine fits perfectly with the material interests of the US military/security complex. The US armaments and spy industries have had 70 years to entrench themselves with a huge claim on the US budget. This politically powerful interest group has no intention of letting go of its hold on US resources.

As long ago as 1961, President Dwight D. Eisenhower in his last public address to the American people warned that the Cold War confronted Americans with a new internal danger as large as the external Soviet threat:

“Our military organization today bears little relation to that known by any of my predecessors in peacetime, or indeed by the fighting men of World War II or Korea.

“Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations.

“This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence — economic, political, even spiritual — is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

“We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.”

President Eisenhower’s warning that our liberties were equally at stake from the military/security complex as from the Soviet Threat did not last 24 hours. The military/security complex buried Eisenhower’s warning with extraordinary hype of the Soviet Threat.

In truth, there was no Soviet threat. Stalin had buffered Russia from the West with his control of Eastern Europe, just as Washington controlled Western Europe. Stalin had eliminated Trotsky and his supporters who stood for world revolution. Stalin declared “socialism in one country.”

Stalin terminated international communism. But the American military/security complex had much money to gain from the Amerian taxpayers in order to “protect America from International Communism.” So the fact that there was no effort on the part of the Soviet Union to subvert the world was ignored. Instead, every national liberation movement was declared by the US military/industrial complex to be a “falling domino” of the Communist takeover of the world.

Ho Chi Minh begged Washington for help against the French colonialists in Vietnam. Washington told him to go to hell. It was Washington that sent Ho Cho Minh to seek communist support.

The long Vietnam war went on for years. It enriched the military/security complex and officers’ pensions. But it was otherwise entirely pointless. There were no dominoes to fall. Vietnam won the war but is open to American influence and commerce.

Because of the military/security complex more than 50,000 Americans died in the war and many thousands more suffered physical and psychological wounds. Millions of Vietnamese suffered death, maiming, birth defects and illnesses associated with Washington’s use of Agent Orange.

The entire war was totally pointless. It achieved nothing but destruction of innocents.

This is Washington’s preferred way. The corrupt capitalism that rules in America has no interest in life, only in profit. Profit is all that counts. If entire countries are destroyed and left in ruins, all the better for American armaments industries.

Yes, please, a new Cold War. We need one desperately, a conflict responsibly managed in place of the reckless, insane drive for world hegemony emanating from the crazed, evil criminals in Washington who are driving the world to Armageddon.

  1. A key point is that America’s massive nuclear arsenal is old and we should be dismantling most of it to abide by the NPT. But the current effort is to rebuild it at a cost of at least $2 trillion (not billion). This can only be justified by making the Russians evil again.

Here are two other old, true Republicans talking about Russian and Iran threat nonsense.

And here is a good article about the bogus MH-17 shoot down report.

    https://consortiumnews.com/2016/09/28/troubling-gaps-in-the-new-mh-17-report/

Spoiler alert: all the proof was provided by the Ukrainian government. A key issue is why Ukrainian air traffic control directed the flight to fly over this specific area, and that Russia had nothing to gain by shooting it down. But of course the Ukrainians (and our neocon traitors) had everything to gain by shooting it down and blaming Russia.

PCR is an anomaly, so to speak. Most ex-employees of the federal government, especially those in positions of real power, tow the company, er MSM, line and typically advocate anti-Russian views. We can all attest to this reality we live in as alt-media readers.

However, with all his credentials and specially chosen words repeated in nearly every article, such as “insouciance”, I still harbor deep-seated suspicious of his intentions. An alarm bell rings in my subconscious regarding his true intentions.

Why are there so few dissident authors of his caliber and his background? Why does he escape condemnation from the MSM? Surely he does not fly under the radar. Why does he simply criticize the easily fallible strategically-derived (i.e. Pentagon formulated) grand narrative we see interwoven into the MSM and not provide concrete solutions? What are his goals by simply inserting contrarian commentary?

This leads me to conclude that there might be actors beyond simply governments who wield considerable power – concentrated groups of power, say banking or defense – that are fighting within the media space for control. That is to say he is working on behalf of a group who wants a multipolar world.

Weird, right? But what’s more likely: a very intelligent single actor unscathed in a world of MSM hit pieces, a carefully placed cointelpro agent that keeps the dissident leash right or a well-financed actor whose only mandate is avoiding a looming centralised NWO that puts all other powerful interests out of influence? You decide.

I’m sorry Dr. Roberts, you gave too much credit to the so-called anti-Semite JFK and Nixon.

Hollywood actor Ronald Reagan was a Gentile clown whose strings were pulled by AIPAC and the Jewish oligarchs. He was no peace-maker.

In 1982, President Ronald Reagan sent 600 Marines to Lebanon to protect Israeli interests. On October 23, 1983, Israelis carried a bombing operation at US Marine barracks at Beirut International Airport – killing 241 Marines, mostly sleeping. A few minutes later, a similar explosion blew up a French military barrack – killing 56 French soldiers. The purpose of the operation was to trigger US invasion of Lebanon.

In 1986, President Ronald Reagan sent 66 US jets to bomb Tripoli and Benghazi. The jets flew from British military bases and killed 100 civilians including one of Qaddafi’s adopted young daughter. Reagan supported his decision by saying: “When our citizens are attacked or abused anywhere in the world on the direct orders of hostile regimes, we will respond so long as I’m in this office.” Reagan was referring to the Berlin Disco bombing, which according to German TV, it was a CIA-Mossad operation….

  5. Does the New York Times write this nonsense because it is bankrupt and lives on CIA subsidies?

While I realize that’s a rhetorical question, I can’t help answering it anyway. The fact that people can get paid well for writing nearly anything, no matter how bogus, no doubt began long before Lucian wrote about Alexander of Abonoteichus (~100CE) who, despite being a total fraud, nevertheless founded the cult of Glycon which achieved wide popularity in the Roman world.

The god, Glycon, was constructed out of a glove puppet according to Lucian!

“[Alexander]…gave answers which the god was supposed to send him in dreams. These were generally not lucid, but ambiguous and confused… [and he] wrote down any words that came into his head..

There were regular interpreters in attendance, who made considerable sums out of the recipients by expounding and unriddling these oracles. This office contributed to his revenue, the interpreters paying him 12.5 talents each [~8,300 troy ounces of silver].”

I firmly agree, though such groups work at a considerable disadvantage to the “mono-polar” camp(s). The latter, of which the Neocons are the most powerful, have their backers not only in “banking or defense” but have seized most of the key security positions in the US government, allowing them to exercise their will almost without impediment. Their power is enhanced by having placed compradors inside the govts of much of the Western and developing world.

Thankfully, there are signs that their project will fail. Internationally, Russian and Chinese nationalist factions seem to have gained the upper hand in their respective countries, and there are signs of a rise of nationalists in Europe. Russia & China are building an alliance, and there’s lots of sub rosa talks between nationalist Europeans and Russia, as well as with China in anticipation of a possible failure in the mono-pole project.
Domestically, notice that the two godfathers of mono-polar ideologies, Brzezinski & Kissinger, have come out with statements declaring the mono-polar project over. Well, not over, but predicting that it will fail. The decision facing America is whether to abandon the project peacefully and take its place at a round table with its multi-polar peers, or whether it will opt to bet the farm in a desperate, last gasp attempt to achieve the unachievable.
The current election is a part of that decision making process, though much of the battle naturally remains behind the scenes.
As the messages Brzezinski & Kissinger filter into the Neocon mentality, expect to see more provocations like the recent attack on the Syrian army and the “Humanitarian convoy”, though they will try to push the stick further into the bear’s ribs to force a response. One hopes, when that happens, the response is exactly what they weren’t expecting and is both sufficiently severe and asymmetrical enough to shock a lesson into them. If not, we’re probably looking at a nasty war.

  9. They think Americans aren’t serious, because nobody in their right mind wants to face Russia’s Dead Hand.

The purpose of the Dead Hand system, as described in the book of the same name, was to maintain a second-strike capability, by ensuring that the destruction of the Soviet leadership would not have prevented the Soviet military from releasing its weapons.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Hand_(nuclear_war)

To deter the possibility of a U.S. nuclear first-strike, the Soviets created a system called Perimeter, also known as “Dead Hand.”

The Dead Hand was a computer system that could autonomously launch all of the USSR’s nuclear weapons once it was activated, across the entirety of the Soviet Union.

“[Shimon Peres aka Persky] was already the Director General of the Ministry of Defense, I was the Editor-in-Chief of a magazine that upset the country.

    Here’s another.

“Treason is a strong word, but not too strong to characterize the situation in which the Senate is the eager, resourceful, and indefatigable agent of interests as hostile to the American people as any invading army could be.” This indictment launched a nine-part series of articles entitled “Treason of the Senate.”

As you pointed out, certain wasps can do that and so can some fungi!! There is, indeed some fungus among us. (Sorry!)

“Fungi of the genus Ophiocordyceps — so-called zombie ant fungi — need ants to complete their life cycle. When an ant comes across fungal spores while foraging, the fungus infects the insect and quickly spreads throughout its body.

Fungal cells in the ant’s head release chemicals that hijack the insect’s central nervous system. The fungus forces the ant to climb up vegetation and clamp down onto a leaf or twig before killing its hapless drone. It then grows a spore-releasing stalk out of the back of the victim’s head to infect more ants on the ground below.”

Why are there so few dissident authors of his caliber and his background?

because they’re venal cowards who would shill for the devil himself if it meant a villa on the Med or even a few extra shekels in their wallets. PCR simply possess something that is more rare and precious than the crown jewels of England. Integrity. The people with that quality are so rare in our establishment that when you find one, they’re worth ten thousand professional liars and cowardly rats that make up 99% of our government and media. PCR, like Ron Paul and a few others are worth more individually than all the members of congress and the federal courts and the criminals at the Pentagon and CIA and NSA and ATF and FBI and the supreme court maggots in black robes and the media whores … combined.

Because all those traitors and liars aren’t worth a plug nickel, because their souls are made of puke, whereas the integrity of men like PCR are made of heroic stuff. The stuff of legends. Because it’s so rare.

If you had a scale, and you put Ron Paul or PCR on each side, they’d pretty much equalize out. But if you put one of them on the scale, and then started to fill the other end up with our entire congress of 535 whores and traitors and empty suits and skirts, and then added all the other liars and traitors in the fecal government’s executive branch and then the media and assorted acronyms, I figure there’d be at least one budding journalist like Michael Hastings who they haven’t murdered yet, or a federal judge who isn’t completely corrupt, so that eventually you’d start to level off the scale, perhaps with tens of thousands of men and women who would lie, steal, cheat, betray, and otherwise sell their corrupt and rotten and worthless souls to Satan for a cushy job and a few perks.

That there are even one or two men like PCR out there perhaps is a miracle in itself, considering the near perfect and absolute corruption of our society. Dr. David Kelly was such a man. [RIP] There are a few others.

Why does he escape condemnation from the MSM?

he’s like Ron Paul, so honest and beyond reproach that they’d prefer to ignore than engage

    not provide concrete solutions?

he does. The concrete solutions you’re looking for will only be realized when a critical mass of the nation realizes that we’re being lied to by crooks and traitors- who’re looting our Treasury, enslaving all future generations to debt, subverting our God-given and hard-won Constitutional rights, and raining down murder and savagery upon millions and millions of innocent people the world over. What’s necessary in the world today is a sea change in attitude by especially the American people, who are the only ones who can possibly reign in the Fiend, and even they may be powerless to stop its bloody slog of death upon the planet. But at least he tries. And yes, I too wince at the use of ‘insouciant’. It seems like an obscure word intended to be, perhaps so he doesn’t have to be more scathing and harsh. But I have no such compunctions against strident language, so I’ll try if I may to unravel what PCR means by ‘insouciant’. And of course this is just speculation, but if I had to guess, I think what means by that word is.. apathetic, lazy, corrupt, bovine, sheep-like, stupid- beyond comprehension, cowardly, greedy, self-obsessed, materialistic, shallow, “exceptional”, glued to media devices and spiritually rotted out. Perfectly sanguine to see and hear their leaders lie to them 24/7, and know that our government has committed war crimes and atrocities galore (based entirely upon, by now- well established lies) slaughtering innocent people who’ve done us no harm.
And ‘insouciant’ means willing to see much, much more of that happen in the world- so long as their president and rulers can effect some ego assuaging vanity massage for their identity-politics agenda du jour. In Hillary’s case- radical feminism, BLM, and the homosexual agenda. ‘Yes, she’s a war criminal and an inveterate liar, but she will make me feel good about having a women as president!’

Rotten, corrupt, greedy and stupid. Selfish, arrogant, belligerent, sports watching, processed food eating, face in the “smart” phone, waddling, self-absorbed, dumbed-down consumer zombies. ‘Indispensable’ for the kind of neocon regime that is terrorizing the planet today.

I hope that was more or less what Dr. Roberts means by insouciant. But of course I can’t really know what he means unless you take the meaning literally- unconcerned. Yep, they’re that too.

What are his goals by simply inserting contrarian commentary?

umm.. how about trying to prevent an all out nuclear war?

Of course it’s impossible to know what’s in a man’s heart, but I suspect that the reasons PCR writes so earnestly, are for the same reasons I do. Not to put me in his singular category, but one just gets a sense of such things. I feel he hates wars for fun and profit. He hates the idea of beautiful and idealistic young people being cynically used as cannon fodder to go off to far away lands and butcher other beautiful people and families and drone weddings and create such misery in the world that surely there will be a karmic price to pay for all of this in the decades and centuries to come.

What we’re doing in the Middle East is so incomprehensibly evil, (and misguided and wrong and monstrous and iniquitous), that I feel like PCR simply has to speak out against it all. That he’s motivated by a simple, human normal desire to oppose evil and injustice, and that he’s very much disheartened that there seems to be so few people who agree. Because we all know by now that the wars were all based on treacherous and calculated lies, and that there have been millions upon millions of people whose lives we’ve destroyed, and are being destroyed even now, in Syria, as we speak. And he sees a man like Putin who has had quite enough of the lies and treachery and wanton slaughter on behalf of Jewish supremacists in Israel, and has the stones to say “enough!”. And so as the Fiend (in DC and London and Tel Aviv), sets its malignant gaze upon Russia, and foments war and death and horrors and atrocities galore in its drooling hegemonic slog of death around the globe, PCR sees it for what it is, and sees Putin for the statesman like adult in the room, who is not an insouciant and corrupt sell-out, and who cares not for his own exaltation or to be the toast at the cocktail parties of London or Berlin, where the devil’s minions frolic, but rather is one of those few men who does retain his integrity, and his soul, and is willing to take on the Fiend by its very horns, and through sheer force of human will, keep that drooling fiend from consuming the Russian people, as it has consumed the American, and European, and Saudi and Zionist people into Moloch’s damnation.

Is it so curious that men should speak out against such pernicious and wanton enormities?

The world stands on the brink today. The Fiend would see a limited nuclear exchange between Russia and Eastern Europe with such rapturous and euphoric glee that it’s impossible to even appreciate how welcome such an event would be. These are the same people who foisted the world wars upon Europe and Russia, and for them those events were seminal to their subsequent gains and biblical in their masturbatory narrative realized. WWII was their OT god’s vengeance upon the world for the temerity of a nation raising its hand against the chosen.

But their work is far from over, and in the banking houses and policy institutes and ‘think’ tanks the world over, they are plotting and scheming their next grand windfall. Right now their sights are set on the Golan Heights, and that is their immediate agenda, but if Putin gets in their way, and threatens to keep Syria intact, they surely would relish a small-scale war between Russia and the West- that our corrupt and Judas ruling class in the West are all too happy to oblige with. So the situation is tenuous, and dire. And that I posit is the reason PCR speaks out. It’s certainly why I do.

The only thing that is keeping the world safe today is the threat of a massive and uncontrolled nuclear exchange. Putin’s own Samson option. Let’s pray he keeps the red button close to his finger, and the eternal Fiend slinking in its bile.

I have had this Flier, For The Restoration of the Republic – circulated by the Anarchist Collective, on this UNZ website twice, as well as on other websites.

The actual flier is justified, and a bit neater.

We distributed flier yesterday at Jill Stein (Green Party) event.

For THE RESTORATION OF THE REPUBLIC

“We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal… governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles…”

The above is a portion of the Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson.

We submit the following facts to the citizens of the United States.

The government of the United States has been a Totalitarian Oligarchy since the military financial aristocracy destroyed the Democratic Republic on November 22, 1963, when they assassinated the last democratically elected president, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and overthrew his government. All following governments have been unconstitutional frauds. Attempts by Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King to restore the Republic were interrupted by their murder.

A subsequent 12 year colonial war against Vietnam, conducted by the murderers of Kennedy, left 2 million dead in a wake of napalm and burning villages.

In 1965, the U.S. government orchestrated the slaughter of 1 million unarmed Indonesian civilians.

In the decade that followed the CIA murdered 100,000 Native Americans in Guatemala.

In the 1970s, the Oligarchy began the destruction and looting of America’s middle class, by encouraging the export of industry and jobs to parts of the world where workers were paid bare subsistence wages. The 2008, Bailout of the Nation’s Oligarchs cost American taxpayers $13trillion. The long decline of the local economy has led to the political decline of our hard working citizens, as well as the decay of cities, towns, and infrastructure, such as education.

The impoverishment of America’s middle class has undermined the nation’s financial stability. Without a productive foundation, the government has accumulated a huge debt in excess of $19trillion. This debt will have to be paid, or suffered by future generations. Concurrently, the top 1% of the nation’s population has benefited enormously from the discomfiture of the rest. The interest rate has been reduced to 0, thereby slowly robbing millions of depositors of their savings, as their savings cannot stay even with the inflation rate.

The government spends the declining national wealth on bloody and never ending military adventures, and is or has recently conducted unconstitutional wars against 9 nations. The Oligarchs maintain 700 military bases in 131 countries; they spend as much on military weapons of terror as the rest of the nations of the world combined. Tellingly, more than half the government budget is spent on the military and 16 associated secret agencies.

The nightmare of a powerful centralized government crushing the rights of the people, so feared by the Founders of the United States, has become a reality. The government of Obama/Biden, as with previous administrations such as Bush/Cheney, and whoever is chosen in November 2016, operates a Gulag of dozens of concentration camps, where prisoners are denied trials, and routinely tortured. The Patriot Act and The National Defense Authorizations Act, enacted by both Democratic and Republican factions of the oligarchy, serve to establish a legal cover for their terror.

The nation’s media is controlled, and, with the school systems, serve to brainwash the population; the people are intimidated and treated with contempt.

The United States is No longer Sovereign

The United States is no longer a sovereign nation. Its government, The Executive, and Congress, is bought, utterly owned and controlled by foreign and domestic wealthy Oligarchs, such as the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and Duponts, to name only a few of the best known.

The 2016 Electoral Circus will anoint new actors to occupy the same Unconstitutional Government, with its controlling International Oligarchs. Clinton, Trump, whomever, are willing accomplices for imperialist international murder, and destruction of nations, including ours.

    For Love of Country

The Restoration of the Republic will be a Revolutionary Act, that will cancel all previous debts owed to that unconstitutional regime and its business supporters. All debts, including Student Debts, will be canceled. Our citizens will begin, anew, with a clean slate.

As American Founder, Thomas Jefferson wrote, in a letter to James Madison:

“I set out on this ground, which I suppose to be self evident, ‘that the earth belongs in usufruct to the living’:”

“Then I say the earth belongs to each of these generations, during it’s course, fully, and in their own right. The 2d. Generation receives it clear of the debts and incumberances of the 1st. The 3d of the 2d. and so on. For if the 1st. Could charge it with a debt, then the earth would belong to the dead and not the living generation.”

Our Citizens must restore the centrality of the constitution, establishing a less powerful government which will ensure President Franklin Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms, freedom of speech and expression, freedom to worship God in ones own way, freedom from want “which…means economic understandings which will secure to every nation a healthy peace time life for its inhabitants…” and freedom from fear “which…means a world-wide reduction of armaments…”

Once restored: The Constitution will become, once again, the law of the land and of a free people. We will establish a government, hold elections, begin to direct traffic, arrest criminal politicians of the tyrannical oligarchy, and, in short, repair the damage of the previous totalitarian governments.

    For the Democratic Republic!

Agree re Israel-firsters: to wit, when UK, France, and Israel invaded Suez, Pres Eisenhower told them to get, and they collectively said ‘Yes Sir’, and “got”.
However ‘semi-honest’ is a bit of a stretch: those same cold-war leaders lied America into the Viet Nam quagmire (the Golf of Tonkin hoax) which cost about 60,000 Americans killed, 150K wounded, 2K (?) MIA, and……about 3 million dead Vietnamese. Even today Vietnamese children are being born deformed due to Agent Orange contamination.

There were lots of other hot wars during the Cold War: US and SU duked it out via proxies.

But I agree that US leadership has gone downhill year in year out since then.

Yes, but each side negotiated a resolution in good faith. I don’t think that would be possible today with the current ruling junta in D.C. Now, the U.S. thinks they can dictate terms and bully people. Also, the U.S. has revised their nuclear weapons protocol to use them in an offensive manner. That wasn’t the case during the Cuban missile crises. Russia recently followed suit which arguably makes for an even more dangerous situation.

“American power will be brought down to a level where its diseases can be confined to the N. American continent by a world that’s had quite enough of America’s diseases.” – Sounds good but not possible. The Zio-Anglo-American power passed its critical mass years ago. Their growth is irreversible now. Chinese elites keep pondering how to make the process of being eaten the least painful. And as far as American people exercising something you are deluding yourself. America is just a vehicle for the world domination. American people were never in a driving seat. Their job was to power the vehicle so it can get to its destination.

  31. Erebus says:

American people were never in a driving seat. Their job was to power the vehicle so it can get to its destination.

Agreed. That’s why they’re in the best position to stop it – by withdrawing their consent to be governed, or by whatever other means they require.
That they will, or will not, do what they must is another question.

    Their growth is irreversible now.

Disagree. Rather than reaching their “critical mass”, they’ve reached the tipping point. Their power in all the spheres that matter is showing its inevitable decline.
-Financially, the entire structure is a house of cards, and is now visibly unstable. While the alternatives lack maturity, their power is solidifying and will soon be in a position to step into any breach in the existing structure. On a PPI basis, America is no longer the world’s largest economy. What’s worse, the economy it has is skewed towards bloated F.I.R.E., military, and debt fueled consumerism sectors. All of these burn wealth, and there’s no sign that it’s reversing.
    – Militarily, they’ve been playing Master-Blaster and the last 15 years of war has exposed Master as a psychopath and Blaster as a mental-deficient to the world. While the USM busied themselves blasting shepherds, wedding parties, and hospitals in benighted countries, 2 military powers arose, and are rising further and faster daily. What’s worse, they’re in the process of building a strategic alliance. It may be just a marriage of convenience, but there it is. They combine a mass of manufacturing, human and natural resources underpinning efficient militaries that America’s dare not challenge directly lest it lose utterly its remaining ability to inspire fear.
    – Politically, the elites have lost their full spectrum dominance of the domestic political process. Trump is no messiah, but he’s (inadvertently?) tapped the deep running current of discontent of a large percentage of the population. The American people are on the verge (finally!) of withdrawing their consent to be governed by the elites that hijacked the country. That discontent is the power that is growing, and it is not clear that militarization of the police or FEMA camps will be effective in stopping it. The question now is what sort of leadership will arise to channel it.
    – Culturally, the corruption and misuse of Brand America has reduced it to a fading shadow of its former self. The world doesn’t look up to it any more, and Americans seem to agree. Presidents of historical satraps like the Philippines now feel free to trash talk American officials, including “the most powerful man in the world”. Tellingly, America’s other satraps seem to quietly admire him for it.

One could go on… but I gotta run.

With Trump or Hillary, The Crisis in Syria Will Only Worsen

    Joshua Frank

No-fly zones, American troops on the ground, thousands more dead–that’s the future of Syria if Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have their way. Either will surely make us miss Barack Obama’s subtle restraint, at least when it comes to how he’s handled the brutal regime of Bashar al-Assad, our former ally in torture.

There’s been much rambling on the left about Vlad Putin’s challenge to US empire in Syria, and how he fended off the Yanks and preserved Syria’s Assad dictatorship. All of this, of course, is horse shit. Obama had ample opportunity to topple Assad in the early days of the Syrian uprising in 2011 had he wished to, but he refused to send troops in or raid Damascus. Instead he adopted a more hands-off approach, opting to have the CIA train some 10,000-20,000 rebels with the help of Saudi funds, which surely had little impact on the ground as the insurgency itself was at least ten times that large. In fact, aside from training small contingents of rebel forces, the CIA blocked MANPAD shipments to rebels that could have been used against Assad’s, and later Russia’s, murderous air bombardments. And for those that believe the US was solely responsible for orchestrating the uprising against Assad–I’ll just say you are dead wrong and should pick up a copy of Burning Country: Syrians in Revolution and War for a solid primer about what was really taking place on the ground.

However, US involvement, in any way, was and is totally unjustifiable. As was Russia’s intervention, of course, despite the rather hollow rationale that Assad seeking Russia’s military aid was legal under international law. Assad’s so-called legitimacy was shattered the moment his armed forces began slaughtering his own people who had assembled in peaceful protest against their government’s oppressive neoliberal policies. You know why many in his military turned on him? It wasn’t because the CIA forced them to, it was because they couldn’t carry out orders to murder their fellow citizens any longer. But for me, Assad’s well-documented starving of Palestinians in a Syrian camp was the last straw. The guy is scum.

There’s been plenty of debate among self-righteous Western lefties about what qualifies as “imperialism” and how such definitions fit the Syrian narrative. Some tend to believe Russia’s actions in Syria don’t qualify because these well-intentioned folks adopt some antiquated neo-colonial Leninist ideology, while others believe the US ought to stop (if they could) Russia’s and Assad’s savage ways at any cost. But for those on the ground that are under assault from all sides, they could care less about our petty debates. Every foreign fucking bomb falling from their sky is imperialistic.

Hopefully most of us can agree that when it comes to the Middle East, the US has seldom been an honest broker. As a result, the US has little to no authority to dictate or attempt to steer the Syrian quagmire in one direction or another, nor do they have the right to. How anybody could plea for the US to intervene, or at the very least supply rebel groups with more weaponry, must be delusional. The US will only make matters worse for civilians on the ground, just as Russia did.

And for all of those who hailed Russian intervention? If those piles of dead kids weren’t enough for you to oppose Putin’s bombs, perhaps what Trump and Hillary are ready to do in response to Putin’s grandstanding may do the trick. If you think Hillary won’t seek NATO action against Russia or show Putin which country really has more military might, you haven’t been paying much attention to the Queen of Chaos lately. Where Obama held back from using military force in Syria, Trump and Hillary are ready to escalate the conflict under the guise of fighting the “War on ISIS”, which would likely create a whole new proxy war. Trump’s little bromance with Putin would be over in no time.

Early on Hillary pressed Obama to overthrow Assad and has more recently flip-flopped on whether or not she would seek boots on the ground in Syria. She has, however, stated that she supports a no-fly zone. For his part, Trump has called for 30,000 ground troops. It’s one big bloody mess, and will only worsen as foreign powers, be they Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, France or the United States, continue to believe that they can kill their way to peace–as if Syrian peace is really what they are after.

So what’s to be done? I have no doubt that the brave Syrian people can navigate their future much better than we can. The left should oppose all military intervention in Syria–be it Russian or American. ISIS, for that matter, will not be eliminated by missiles or foreign armies. It will only be defeated by people that live there–those protecting their family’s land, homes and communities. Let the locals destroy them from the bottom-up. They already have the resources and will to do so. As for Assad? His days are numbered no matter how long Putin’s pit bulls guard the gate. The resilience and tenacity of the rebellion has certainly shown us that much.

But for me, Assad’s well-documented starving of Palestinians in a Syrian camp was the last straw. The guy is scum.

So (((Josh Frank))) wants to overthrow Assad due to his alleged mistreatment of Palestinians? What about when Israel mistreats them? How come the lives of Palestinians only matter when Assad is allegedly brutalizing them but they’re terrorist scum when Israel is the offender?

His feigned concern for Palestinians is just a cynical ploy to mislead and misinform his readers regarding the situation in Syria.

“Culturally, the corruption and misuse of Brand America has reduced it to a fading shadow of its former self. The world doesn’t look up to it any more, and Americans seem to agree. Presidents of historical satraps like the Philippines now feel free to trash talk American public officials, including ‘the most powerful man in the world.’ Tellingly, America’s other satraps seem to quietly admire him for it.”

That’s right. Thoughtful, discerning foreigners know the U.S. has degenerated.

Well, it definitely would be “change you can believe in”!

Presidential Proclamation — Death of Shimon Peres: https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2016/09/28/presidential-proclamation-death-shimon-peres

    DEATH OF SHIMON PERES

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

    A PROCLAMATION

As a mark of respect for the memory of Shimon Peres, former President and Prime Minister of Israel, I hereby order, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States of America, that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and on all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, on September 30, 2016. I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same period at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-eighth day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand sixteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-first.

    BARACK OBAMA
    _____________
What was so special about Peres that “the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and on all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions … and that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same period at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations?”

We should have instead saluted the servicemen of USSLiberty. – Or this could offend the sensitivities of the Lobby plotting for more US wars for Eretz Israel?

“… the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and on all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government …” Executive Order of Barack Obama

The sailors on these vessels should reflect on the fact that when the USS Liberty was under attack for hours by Israeli jets and torpedo boats with 34 men killed and 171 wounded, their government ( Johnson & McNamara) directly ordered the immediate recall of two rescue flights from nearby US carriers.

  47. Miro23 says:

This is Washington’s preferred way. The corrupt capitalism that rules in America has no interest in life, only in profit. Profit is all that counts. If entire countries are destroyed and left in ruins, all the better for American armaments industries.

True, but there’s blowback against the 0.1%, and historically situations of such inequality don’t persist in Democracies for any length of time.

Candidate Trump may be just cynically exploiting the situation as a route to power, but the hysterical MSM reaction shows for sure that he wasn’t part of the plan. The Presidential vote was supposed to be between Jeb Bush and HRC with Bush politely losing after a staged fight, but if Trump wins, they’re going to have to subvert him and it may be expensive (Art of the Deal).

Either way, there has to be a big risk that Democracy is on the way out through, 1) A Trump or Clinton dictatorship backed by the Patriot Act, Homeland Security and the NSA 2) A destabilizing Trump – Establishment clash 3) Or general anarchy (i.e. a street revolution).
