When in trouble politically, governments have traditionally conjured up a foreign enemy to explain why things are going wrong. Whatever one chooses to believe about the coronavirus, the fact is that it has resulted in considerable political backlash against a number of governments whose behavior has been perceived as either too extreme or too dilatory. Donald Trump’s White House has taken shots from both directions and the response to the disease has also been pilloried due to repeated gaffes by the president himself. The latest mis-spoke, now being framed by Trump’s press secretary as sarcasm, involved a presidential suggestion that one might consider injecting or imbibing disinfectant to treat the disease, either of which could easily prove lethal.

So, the administration is desperate to change the narrative and has decided to hit on the old expedient, namely seeking out a foreign enemy to distract from what is going on in the nation’s hospitals. The tale of malevolent foreigners has been picked up by a number of mainstream media outlets and has proven especially titillating because there is not just one bad guy, but instead at least four: China, Russia, North Korea and Iran.

The accepted narrative is that America’s enemies are now taking advantage of a moment of weakness due to the lockdown response to the coronavirus and have stepped up their attacks, both physical and metaphorical, on the Exceptional Nation Under God. The most recent claim that the United States is being targeted involves an incident in mid-April during which a swarm of Iranian gunboats allegedly harassed a group of American warships conducting a training exercise in the Persian Gulf by crossing the bows and sterns of the U.S. vessels at close range. The maneuvers were described by the Navy as “unsafe and unprofessional” but the tiny speedboats in no way threatened the much larger warships (note the photo in the link which illustrates the disparity in size between the two vessels).

Donald Trump characteristically responded to the incident with a tweet last Wednesday: “I have instructed the United States Navy to shoot down and destroy any and all Iranian gunboats if they harass our ships at sea.” Although no context was provided, the president commands the armed forces and the tweet essentially defined the rules of engagement, meaning that it would be up to the ships’ commanders to determine whether or not they are being harassed. If so, the would be able to open fire and destroy the Iranian boats. Of course, there might be a physical problem in “shooting down” a gunboat that is in the water rather than in the air.

In the Mediterranean the threat against the U.S. consisted of two Russian jet fighters flying close to a Navy P8-A submarine surveillance plane. The Russian fighters were scrambled from Hmeymim air base in Syria after the U.S. aircraft approached Syrian airspace and Russian military facilities. One of the fighters, a SU-35 carried out an “unsafe” maneuver when it flew upside down at high-speed 25 feet in front of the Navy plane.

Also in mid-April, North Korea meanwhile fired cruise missiles into the Sea of Japan amidst rumors that its head of state Kim Jong Un might be dead or dying after major surgery. President Trump was unconcerned about the missiles and also commented that he had received a “nice note” from the North Korean leader.

Wars and rumors of wars notwithstanding, China continues to be the principal target for Democrats and Republicans alike on Capitol Hill. GOP congressmen are reportedly urging sanctions against China while there are already a number of coronavirus lawsuits targeting Chinese assets in U.S. courts, at least one of which has a trillion dollar price tag. Theories about the deliberate weaponization of the Wuhan virus abound and they are also mixed in with stories of how Beijing unleashed the weapons and is now engaged in Russia style social media intervention to promote the notion that the United States has proven incapable of handling what has become a major medical emergency. However, those who are pushing the idea that the Chinese communist party has declared war by other means fail to explain why the government in Beijing is so keen on destroying its largest export market. If the U.S. economy goes down a large part of the Chinese economy will go with it, particularly if China’s second largest export market Europe is also suffering.

The craziness of what is going on in the context of the disruption caused by the coronavirus has apparently increased the normal paranoia level at the top levels of the U.S. government. Pentagon plans to fight a war with Russia and China simultaneously, first mooted in 2018, are still a work in progress in spite of the fact that Washington has fewer cards to play currently than it did two years ago. The economy is down and prospects for recovery are speculative at best, but the war machine rolls on. Many Americans tired of the perpetual warfare are hoping that the virus aftermath will include demands for a genuine national health system that will perforce gut the Pentagon budget, leading to an eventual withdrawal from empire.

In spite of the hysteria, it is important to note that no Americans have been killed or injured as a result of recent Iranian, Russian, Chinese and North Korean actions. When you station ships and planes close to or even on the borders of countries that you have labeled as enemies it would be reasonable to expect that there will be pushback. And as for taking advantage of the virus, it is the United States that has suggested that it would do so in the cases of Iran and Venezuela, exerting “maximum pressure” on both countries in their times of troubles to bring about regime change. If those countries that are accustomed to being regularly targeted by the United States are taking advantage of an opportunity to diminish America’s ability to intervene globally, no one should be surprised, but it is a fantasy to make the hysterical claim that the United States has now become the victim of some kind of vast international conspiracy.

  1. The first skill a bully learns, is to accuse his victims of the crimes about to be committed against them. Remember, there were “six million in danger of brutal extermination” in one part of Europe or another since at least 1865. Is, every Jewihh newspaper said so. Repeatedly. Since 1865.

In contrast, note how many Unz Review authors have registered positive with the Chinadidit test for Exceptionalian lickspittles. See the current execrable Buchanan column and the arguably more craven, cheap little smears (“Wu Flu, Kung Flu, China Virus,” etc.) sprinkled around by Derbyshire, Kersey, Malkin, and Mercer.

I read with this in mind Mr. Sailer’s recent Taki’s piece on the need for free speech. Not surprisingly, his focus is on things like the efficacy of ventilators, not the provenance of the virus(es). But he did bravely shoehorn in a reference to “the Chinese in America who methodically stripped all the N95s from the shelves of American retailers and mailed them home to China.”

This is how rulers sell wars. Remember The Maine? Tonkin? Kuwaiti incubator babies? The vile vial of Colin Powell? Recognized lies only in retrospect, the new ones always work. Most people in this country — including some of the “dissidents” published on this website — are scared stupid, incapable of even reflecting on whether they’re being propagandized and infecting others.

  4. Trump was elected as the Peace Candidate. Are there really enough MAGA people left who will follow him to the end of the earth now that he is always threatening war? Even if Trump is smart enough to avoid war prior to the election, and his trigger-happy Israel-first henchmen like Pompeo listen, how many on the Anti-War Right will take the chance and vote for him a second time, knowing that he is now completely drunk with power and not the same man they elected? If there was any doubt, his assassination of Soleimani showed the type of crazed bully Trump is.

If the democrat party was not so stupid and out-of-touch, with a senile, corrupt, sexual predator as their standard bearer, they should win the election. However, Obama, in 8 years in office, proved that his self-destructive party isn’t going to stop the wars either. Why even vote?

  5. When there’s only the GOPpledegooks and Demoncraps, what do you expect? Need very fundamental change over there.

Don’t. And tell others that you’re no longer going to lend the system any more legitimacy. Or if you need the exercise, at least leave the Red and Blue crayons at home.

And it’s not just on the wars that the Beltway politics are such a farce. The hurried vote in The World’s Greatest Deliberative Body to use the dempanic to bail out Wall Street was 96-0. Maybe they need to save time and energy for the next impeachment, judicial confirmation, or investigation of the latest scandal that they enabled by letting an industry draft its own regulations.

Things have reached the point that the Establishment needs to divide & conquer people with transgendered statues and Confederate bathrooms. But electoral politics are the favored forum for strife because dissent is collected, channeled, and harmlessly blown off every two years.

Virus may be ‘excuse’ in Lockerbie bomber appeal papers row, lawyer claims

“The lawyer acting for the family of Abdelbaset al-Megrahi has suggested the prosecution service may be tempted to use coronavirus as an “excuse” regarding handing over documents in the appeal against the Lockerbie bombing conviction.

The way was paved for the appeal when the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission (SCCRC) last month referred the case to the High Court, ruling a possible miscarriage of justice may have occurred.

Lawyer Aamer Anwar made the SCCRC application on behalf of Megrahi’s family, supported by some families of those who died in the 1988 disaster.

Now, Mr Anwar has criticised the Crown Office’s response to his request for document disclosure.

He told the PA news agency: “Following the decision of the SCCRC on our application, we wrote on March 13 to the Lord Advocate for full disclosure of materials.

“Despite the appeal timelines imposed upon my team we have received absolutely no disclosure to date.

“That is simply unacceptable and a failure by Crown Office. The Megrahi family, the British families of victims as well as the Libyan people have waited far too long for this appeal once and for all to be settled in the Court of Appeal.”

He added: “The Lord Advocate’s team may be tempted to use coronavirus as an excuse however we will not hesitate to seek orders from the Court to recover these documents.

“The Crown were totally aware that the SCCRC would have been making its decision over the last several months…yet now say the materials are not easily accessible.”

Trump and the Deep State do not care what the American people want. They know that most American people are inane fools and will believe anything. Most Americans would rather watch America’s Got Talent, or Dancing With The Stars than be informed about important issues.

The Deep State doesn’t care about the unimportant internecine squabbles of the ‘two parties’ as long as their important issues are maintained. As a matter of fact it strengthens the false perception that there is a choice when voting.

I have agreed with this clown’s #chinadidit in the past but for different reasons. China was indeed involved but it wasn’t China alone, IMO. Remember Professor Lieber and the 2 Chinese Nationalists? Who has a tradition of stabbing America in the back? Were Jonathan Pollard and the Rosenbergs, Irish? A popular article on this website was titled “AngloZionist” launch a strategic psyop on China” or something like that. Has anyone stopped to think that it could be a Zionist/Sino psyop on America and the West?? Maybe it could even be the Zionist acting alone ala The Lavon Affair to stir shit up between China and America/Europe? Who brought (((communism))) to China. The Zionist have had seeds planted in China for a long, long, time. Remember how the Zionist/Jews stabbed Germany in the back in WWI? Do you really think our bestest best allies in the whole wide world would be above throwing America under the bus? Well, judging by past events it doesn’t look like Israel has any problem with stabbing America in the back. Remember the USS Liberty for example. That is the reason I think this “obwand” ding dong is a (((troll.))) He or she screams and mocks the accusations against China 100 times a day but he never mentions a certain Middle Eastern country. Sure, he or she will mention America, but NEVER does he or she mention Israel. Things that make you go, hmm, I think I smell chopped liver.

  22. Many Americans tired of the perpetual warfare are hoping that the virus aftermath will include demands for a genuine national health system that will perforce gut the Pentagon budget, leading to an eventual withdrawal from empire.

So, has the Deep State figured out where the biggest pockets of anti-empire voters are in order to trigger a desired response? Do they strike our adversaries in a way to provoke a Couter-force strike which will largely kill Americans in and around military installations, who would largely be pro-Trump for MAGA purposes; or do they go for provoking a Counter-values strike to wipe out the eaters who threaten MIC interests? Sorry, NYC, DC, LA, SF, and ChiTown, but it’s time for y’all to take one for Team USA.

You could be right. It’ll be interesting to see if he responds to this line of speculation, and if so, how.

  24. That’s it, a few flybys?

Modern warfare is economic and demographic in nature. I expect more from a real threat than just a few stunts in machines. No speedboat or airplane ever conquered a country and held it for any length of time; rather, people conquer and hold territory.

All of this is window dressing. The real question of the day is what is happening to the trillions of dollars of stimulus spending?

An article today at lewrockwell on OKC discusses the plot by Abner Mikva, Merrick Garland, and Elena Kagan to suppress evidence at the trial, so damaging it could not be allowed to appear on paper, that would probably have been sufficient to end the Clinton kompromat presidency and expose the FBI’s complicity, if not outright responsibility, for OKC’s predictive programming psy op prepping America and the world for 9/11.

This and the stuff you mention, however, pales in comparison to the suppression of evidence by Israel’s fifth column and the wholly owned kosher MSM following 9/11 that’s been so thoroughly documented by Christopher Bollyn. Instead of the FBI reopening the 9/11 investigation we got instead Comey delivering two speeches to the ADL he specifically referred to as “love letters” from the FBI to the ADL, in the latter of which he ignored 9/11 and cited as the greatest terrorist threat those faked bombings at Jewish community centers, etc.

Regarding Israeli collusion with China, not only is this no secret, but just this past February 3 Foreign Affairs boasted that Israel has been secretly negotiating with China behind our back for years to replace us with China. The article justifies this by claiming China, unlike the “irredeemably antiSemitic West,” has no history of antiSemitism. The author ends with the grinning mockery of America by noting Palmerston’s maxim that

nations have no permanent allies, only permanent interests. Yet the Israeli foreign-policy establishment needs to ask itself whether these economic interests are worth jeopardizing the country’s one indispensable alliance. If the trade deal is any indication, they seem to think they are.

Like the White Helmets in Syria who where sponsered and supported by the CIA, MI6, Mossad and their media to sabotage the Syrian state and economy to create an advantage for the greater Israel project…now the worldwide economy is sacrificed for bailout and for the advantage of the money lenders.

Can the chosen people and their almighty god who is able to create money out of thin air finally hijack the big pharma coup to enslave all nations and prevail?

Both the Chinese and Americans now try to investigate the roots of this virus.
What a farce, the traces of this “disease” are everywhere because its not a new Virus..its an old hat.
What is “new” is only the THEORY that a harmless virus for all the healthy people can be turned into a “weaponized virus” if the fearmongering media and all the experts are on board.

That ship was the Event 201 where also the key person for the whole plot was on board…George F. Gao, head of the chinese CDC and holder of 25 international patents related to viruses.
    For who does he work?
Does he run with the hare and hunt with the hounds?

I guess hes intentions are not in the interest of the chinese government and population, but China has swallowed it as many other nations too.

I think the US is very close to having a political and societal disaster. After WW I and WW II it will rank as important as the downfall of the USSR and the breakup of the Warsaw Pact and the rise of China. It’s importance will only be second to the two world wars and I believe there is a goid chance it will happen within 2 years. It’s possible it could be softened to “only” losing its position of holding the reserve curreny, but it might be much, much worse.

i have a conspiracy theory I will serve up based on some facts regarding more screwy behavior on behalf of some Jews. Not all, of course. We have to say that every time now.

I read an article within the last 2 years, a serious article which I believe was reporting a fact. I believe it was either the head of the organization representing Jews in Germany or the organization itself made a statement that happy families, laughing and smiling and having a good time were a danger to German democtracy and Jews. This is essentially what was said. With Jews holding so much power in the media, could they be blowing the threat of the Corona Virus out of proportion to counter the rise of the “far right”, you know, people that don’t believe there are 61 genders and transgenders are perfectly normal people ?

I don’t know what to believe now. I thought the virus was a serious threat and the wisest countries took stern measures to stop it and now some people say its death rate is no worse than the flu.

So long as you think like this, the two-party system is a one-way ratchet to hell. There is no significant difference between the two parties on the issues that really matter – the economy, immigration, trade, crime & war – to name a few.

In 2008, we saw a transition between Bush and Obama in the midst of a giant bailout/recession and the policies of both admins were practically in lockstep on the bailout and every issue I mentioned above. Obama’s apostasy re: Iran was the only significant variation.

If you think Trump has “held back the crazies” or otherwise tried to “drain the swamp” or even MAGA, remember that his party had two years with full majority control of the entire government. Look more closely at the kabuki theater that’s been going on since the pre-WWII days at an ever-accelerating, ever-more-arrogant pace.

Pentagon plans to fight a war with Russia and China simultaneously, first mooted in 2018, are still a work in progress in spite of the fact that Washington has fewer cards to play currently than it did two years ago.

Using “low yield” nukes no less.

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/04/politics/us-nuclear-weapon-submarine/index.html

The US military deployed a new submarine-launched low-yield nuclear weapon, something the Pentagon sees as critical to countering the threat posed by Russia’s arsenal of smaller tactical nukes.

Several former high-ranking administration officials, however, have said the weapons increase the potential for nuclear conflict.

“The US Navy has fielded the W76-2 low-yield submarine-launched ballistic missile warhead,” John Rood, the under secretary of defense for policy, said in a statement Tuesday.

The new nuclear weapon is a modification of the pre-existing W-76 warhead, which is used to arm submarine launched Trident II (D-5) missiles, so the new weapon does not add to the total number of nuclear weapons in the US stockpile.

The nuclear launch codes and nuclear options in the so-called football for the President have now been updated to reflect this weapon, a US official confirmed to CNN.

It boggles the mind that a system is in place for Trump to nuke the world if he was so inclined. Once he issues the order, there is no going back. The System does not reverse itself. The operators are trained to do their job and selected for their ability to manage emotion. They are chosen because they are a personality profile that doesn’t question orders and that follows orders dutifully and “honorably.”

@ 4 and 7 .. All solutions, and suggestions for change, by the governed thus far <=seem to be variations of the same theme <==modify the behavior of those who operate a sick government, but the sicker the government the more likely it is, that the government operators are suffering the incurable consequence of a GARS virus infection. Once the operators of a government become infected they often express a pathology in the form of GARS (Greed assembled regulatory syndrome). The syndrome seems to block all governed access to the governors. The GARS virus builds impenetrable walls between the governors and the governed people. Governors allow no information out, and the governed are not allowed in, those on the outside are spied on and prosecuted for their crimes, while those on the inside are promoted and protected from prosecution for their crimes.

In other words, the GARS virus blocks bottom up access to the elected, salaried employees of the government.

Article VII of the 1787 USA constitution suggest that constitutions become effective when they are ratified. The same clause suggest that ratification is a process, each constitution is obliged to establish, within its body. In other words, any proposed constitution should always include within its body a clause or a set of clauses that make clear the process, manner and outcome effect upon a successful ratification of each successive constitution.

Proposed constitutions should make clear that ratification of the new constitution terminates the authority and effect of the old constitution and should provide mechanisms, date and time for transfer of the “governmental power” from old to new government. In other words, constitutions define powers the operators can use to govern, authorize (that is, give authority to) those who govern to operate and they are supposed to constrain the power to of operators to constraints defined in the constitution made effective by ratification.

The Declaration of Independence 1776 says when .. necessary to dissolve .. So the question is what constitutes “necessary” with respect to the transfer of governmental power from one constitution to another? When performance of governments under one constitution indicates the condition has reached necessary<= does that condition define also timing for that dissolution? Certainly the governed have a right to propose, write, and ratify for themselves a new constitution whenever they think it necessary Why<=because the Declaration of Independence says so and because the right of self determination is immutable, unalienable right vested in all of mankind?

It seems a population governed by constitutionally empowered and constrained government need little more to measure the state of affairs to be"necessary" than is indicated by performance of the existing constitution? If the people cannot fix the performance of their government to acceptable levels by mechanisms provided for within the existing constitution then it is likely the people would conclude it to be necessary to change their constitution. The people can measure any government by its performance and the people can measure the people's ability to modify or change the existing government by the impact of their votes, they people can compare any government to any other government by comparing the performance of one government to all other governments.

Operating governments measure themselves by GDP and other economic measures, but the governed persons at the bottom, the ones that empower constitutions measure governor performance by the lowest quality of life under the government, by security and risk of unacceptable or diminished quality of life, and by actual threat by government that it would infringe the human rights of the governed. When the performance of the government is substandard, concern is raised, when the methods of an under performing government approach tyranny in shape, form or action, it would seem concern would transform into "action-time, that is it now necessary" and in civilized societies, action involves writing new, different and improved constitutions, and getting those constitutions ratified.

The 1787 constitution, that overthrew the government that defeated the British (1776-1788) did not invite the ordinary people to help write or to vote on its ratification. Aristocrats, meeting in secret, wrote the 1787 constitution. The result of that secrecy was a constitution that formed a rich man's Republic to govern.
I suspect if the people had written the constitution that came out of Philadelphia, the constitution would have required the government it authorized to operate only in response to the people it governed (elected persons responding in their governmental acts only to the majority will of the governed).

I can't image a constitution written by effort of the masses, that would allow the persons who would be appointed or elected to operate the government to conduct government affairs in secret or to spy on the affairs of those they govern, or to do things without getting approval from the governed masses?/

And, I don’t blame them. That was a perfectly rational response by a people with loyalty to their own in-group/nation.

The problem is not with their actions, but with their presence.

    Song Hongbing’s “Currency Wars” – a review

A revolutionary book from China, where it became a bestseller and is hushed up in Europe for (un)known reasons

    https://gefira.org/en/2019/09/24/song-hongbings-currency-wars-a-review/

Rothschilds run like a red thread through Hongbing’s book and perhaps that’s why he was accused of anti-Semitism. He himself said, “The Chinese think Jews are rich and clever, so we should learn from them.2)His book was merely intended as a warning for China not to fall into the trap of Western bankers. One problem with Song Hongbing’s critics is that the book has not been translated into English or German. Did they really read it in French or Polish (available editions in the European languages)? Or do they write their criticism on behalf of…? Well? By the way: none of the other 4 parts of “Currency Wars” published until 2018 was translated or published in Germany, Great Britain or the USA. A conspiracy against the author?

Do you know who’s richest in the world? Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Prince of Saudi Arabia? Not at all! The Rothschild’s family fortune is estimated at 2 000 000 000 000 (2 trillion dollars).3)Conspiracy theory. No, a fact. “Currency Wars” contains carefully researched facts from history and the financial world. Incredible stories are told with a lively, clear language. Through a broad perspective, well-founded theoretical foundations and the complexity of the points of connection between bankers, politicians and corporations, the author creates a three-dimensional image. An image that is worth looking at. Recommended reading.

The book has not be published in English, for some “odd reason”. All Song Hongbing’s books have been published in Polish, for some “odd reason”. Poles created the Ashkenazis by inviting them in 1054. The Poles, perhaps, want to know what their creation is doing to our planet.

Give us a specific name of who you think would be better than Trump and why.

    Whining is the easy part.

  73. However, those who are pushing the idea that the Chinese communist party has declared war by other means fail to explain why the government in Beijing is so keen on destroying its largest export market. If the U.S. economy goes down a large part of the Chinese economy will go with it….

What do you mean by, “A large part of the Chinese economy will go with it,” please? Do you mean that the Chinese people will be poorer? Do you mean that the Chinese military will get less hardware? Do you mean that the net worth of institutional investors in Shanghai will drop?

I like and appreciate your article otherwise, but your economic conclusion is too vague to convey any sensible meaning.

Heretofore, China has been shipping manufactured goods in exchange for fundamentally worthless green scraps of paper called U.S. dollars. If China retained the goods, then would Chinese not therefore in consequence have more goods? Do Chinese not want goods? Are they so eager to be rid of them? If so, why? How does shipping goods and acquiring green paper in exchange benefit Chinese? If China henceforth kept the goods and let us keep the paper then how would this change not work to China’s benefit?

About ten years ago, when China was rising but still poorer than today, Peter Thiel told an anecdote of a Chinese worker in a Chinese washing-machine factory. The Chinese worker was instructed to thank Americans for taking his washing machine because the worker was presumed to prefer to wash his own clothes in a stream using a stone.

What would you and I think, if we worked in that factory? Would you and I not expect to be paid in a meaningful way? I doubt that you and I would expect to make and ship stuff essentially for free.

Thought experiment: suppose that the Chinese state impounded and started destroying all goods (including washing machines) meant for U.S. export. Suppose that the Chinese state printed its own green scraps of paper and gave the scraps to Chinese exporters in payment. Broadly, as seen from within China, how would this differ from the actual situation today?

Surely you do not believe that destroying goods would make China richer. Then why do you believe that shipping goods, under present conditions, makes China richer? Shipping stuff only makes you richer if you receive something more valuable in exchange.

I dispute your premise that China still needed access to U.S. markets. Because Chinese can now make their own washing machines and their own everything else, China hardly needs the United States at all.

Do you still believe otherwise? Then wait and watch. See how little harm lack of access to U.S. markets actually does China. Lack of access might cause a momentary disruption while some Chinese manufacturers retool to make more stuff Chinese want and less stuff Americans want, but otherwise Chinese will win.

Fortunately, we Americans will be fine. We’ll just have to start making our own washing machines and other goods again. We wanted to do that anyway.

China was indeed involved but it wasn’t China alone, IMO

Just in what was China involved? Research? Yes, obviously, but in what other way? It has been determined that the “Italian” strain has different origins than “Chinese” strain, and is not a mutation. I accept the obvious that viruses mutate, and that, however unlikely, it is theoretically possible the bat insertion could happen naturally. That, however, ignores that two genetically different strains of the same virus attacked Italy and China at virtually the same time. The theoretical chances of that happening are astronomical.
I agree completely with your reference to “Irish”, but as I recall reading, the 2 Chinese nationals were trying to send autopsy specimens. Autopsy specimens would be of no value in creating a virus or any other pathogen, as they would have been fixed. They would be of value if investigating a cause of death or the effect of a known pathogen. A Taiwanese virologist claimed that he wrote to the US (CDC?) in January reporting that the symptoms being reported by the Covid patients were virtually identical to the symptoms reported by the vaping victims. I apologize, I am unable to find my old links to the above.
I have no doubt the Chinese are being less than candid, but from what I see, every government on the planet is playing the same game. I won’t rule out China as a player, but the bugger question is what is the game being played? The virus is real, it’s real effects are a hoax. There is something much more sinister afoot. This “conspiracy theory” could be the game. http://www.radiationdangers.com/5g/study-shows-direct-correlation-between-5g-networks-and-coronavirus-outbreaks-2/

Trump could put millions of Americans back to work with the stroke of his pen, a move that would guarantee his re-election, and he chooses not to do it.

Trump is a Zio-globalist shill. His interest lies only in keeping America together long enough for his confederates to finish looting the place.

There is no significant difference between the two parties on the issues that really matter – the economy, immigration, trade, crime & war – to name a few.

A lot of people here are saying don’t vote, and apparently it doesn’t even matter who Joe picks for his running mate. It could be AOC, and it wouldn’t matter one whit. Even if it were AOC in the White House, it wouldn’t make any difference at all, they tell us, everything would be exactly the same. Same SS Justices, same foreign and domestic policy, same immigration policy and everything else. It would all be the same, they tell us.

Now what I find interesting about that, is that here on the UR, there are some of the most astute among the electorate, and if every thoughtful person in the ZUS decides not to vote in any of our elections, would such a development have any appreciable consequences on the quality and agendas of our respective politicians?

How long would it take before Kim Kardashian is potus? Or, perhaps more to the point, based on the apparent fact that nothing matters, would a president Kardashian or Shmuley Boteach have any effect whatsoever on foreign or domestic policy, let alone the US and beyond’s cultural and spiritual trajectory.

Because if what the ‘don’t vote’ crowd is saying, it won’t matter at all. The die is cast, and the politicians are simply Hollywood type figure heads. Which means the Supreme Court doesn’t matter either, or whom is at the CIA and FBI and elsewhere in our Police State apparatus.

Maybe you guys are all right, IDK, but if you’re wrong, and having Rand Paul in there, has slowed the fall down into the abyss somewhat, and if a few more Rand Pauls, or Tulsi Gabards were elected, I wonder..

In fact, I’d posit that the way they treated Tulsi (like Ron Paul before her), it evidence that who gets elected does matter after all, or they’d have treated her (and Dr. Paul) more fairly, since ‘it doesn’t matter’, right?

I may vote or not, depending on who Joe picks. If he picks Tulsi, that could shake things up.

Your vote hasn’t really mattered for your entire lifetime. This system needs tearing down, not propping up.

    Ok Exile, I’m all ears..

How, pray tell, do we go about accomplishing that?

Because if left to their own devices, this system will come crashing down, but not until every last nickel has been looted dry, and every last drop of goyim blood and tears have been squandered and sacrificed into the pyres of (((Moloch’s abyss))).

IOW, it’s us against them. And the ONLY weapon we yet still putatively and marginally wield is the vote. Someone mentioned Georgia, and there’s also Florida as a lesson. The voters of Michigan today are probably very much in earnest for the next election. In order to vote out the scum in their governor’s mansion.

What if Rand Paul ran as a independent, on closing the borders and ending all the wars, bringing home all the troops, reining in Big Pharma and Big Oil and Wall Street and auditing and ending the Fed, and treating all nations and people with respect and dignity, and cutting all ties to Israel, and banning all dual citizens from high office, and investigating 9/11 and the USS Liberty, and restoring State’s Rights, and restoring International Law and rapprochement with Russia and Iran and China and Venezuela and inviting Assange here and Snowden back with ticker tape parades as international and national heroes respectively?

    There’s a lot more, but I get long-winded.

So if I just leave it at that, a campaign by Rand Paul that looks a lot like Perot’s near successful campaign, would voting still be completely meaningless, and the only solution is for all Americans to just vanish, and until then it’s best for us all to stick our heads in the sand and hope the failed Democrat candidate for governor doesn’t wander by and see us thus positioned…

  97. The US is at the trickiest part of the history of every dominant Empire: inevitable decline. If the Empire behaved sensibly, this decline would have been slow, gradual, and lasted 50-70 years. However, for the last 25+ years the Empire is doing everything to provoke others into working for an abrupt crash. For now China and Russia are not responding to provocations. Instead, they are trying to ease the US out of dominance w/o ruining the whole financial system, i.e., easing the US $ out of its position of reserve currency without an abrupt crash. They do it not because of their love for the US, or Zionist control, or some other outlandish reason, but simply out of self-interest: when the current system crashes, everyone, including China and Russia, stands to lose. However, the Empire is talking about a suicidal move: refusing to pay its debts to China. If that happens, the US will quickly get itself into deep shit: there would be no more fools buying treasuries and no more morons who would regard the US $ as a safe reserve currency. As the US is the main beneficiary of current system, this move would be even more devastating than shooting itself in the foot.

On the political front, things look just as gloomy. Looks like we are going to have a choice between keeping a fool in the White House and replacing him with a clinically senile stuffed shirt. Regardless of the epidemic, which just contrasted and sped up things, at this point the US needs a real capable leader. None of the likely contenders belongs to that category. People in the US don’t seem to understand that this is no longer about who is going to be the next president. It is about the survival of the country, prevention of its rapid descent into a shithole. The US needs to leverage selfish interests of China, Russia, and others to make its inevitable slide down slow and smooth. Instead, it keeps provoking everyone, as if it has a death wish.

Yes. it is true about how Communism came about even in China. It was a Jewish experiment like in Russia. Even Jews agree so. It is odd that 85-90 percent of foreigners were Jews in the takeover by Communism in China. The same percentage is mentioned by Russians for their takeover by Jewish communists in its early days.

    https://forward.com/schmooze/159051/a-jew-in-maos-china/

Until I saw the documentary “The Revolutionary” at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, I mistakenly thought that China during the revolutionary period was one country that had not felt the Jewish embrace. In fact, 85 to 90% of the foreigners helping the Chinese at the time of the Communist takeover were Jewish. This included the daughter of the founder of the brokerage firm Goldman Sachs, who left the comfort of her Park Avenue home to assist the Chinese.

The new take over of nations might be a bit harder to do, since it involves having Jewish families supporting Zionist Jewish lobbies. The Shavei Israel movement is working hard to remediate this “problem” in China.

    https://www.yenisafak.com/en/columns/hayrettinkaraman/zionists-of-israel-are-now-trying-to-judaize-china-2047282

Professor Dr. Nadia Helmy speaks of an organization called “Shavei Israel”, which confirms this development; the task of this organization is to find Jews wherever they are in the world and to make them Jewish and Zionist again.

Although they do not have a missionary in Judaism (non-Jews), they bypass this rule in China, and the organization Judaizes thousands of Chinese citizens. When they Judaize the Chinese, they marry off Chinese girls and thus form a “Zionist Chinese generation.” Starting from the pre-school level, they open schools and establish synagogues in the style of Confucian temples.

Israel’s ambassador to Beijing is working hard for the government to officially recognize this Zionist-Chinese generation, claiming that the names of the family have changed over time, and by forging existing names, reveals Jewish ones.

what happens if USA got EU on board? Plus a few more countries like Japan and the five eyes.

All EU countries are deep in debt. They simply can’t buy Treasuries. The same goes for the UK, even though now it is technically out of the EU. What’s more, virtually all European countries have the same problem as the US: due to blind corporate greed they shifted much of their industry to China, so today w/o Chinese goods they won’t have pants to cover their asses and lamp bulbs to put in their sockets. Japan is also deep in debt. It holds more than a trillion worth of Treasuries, so they are unlikely to go along with their wanton cancellations by the US. But Japanese government owes a lot more than the US owes it. Australia’s economy would collapse w/o Chinese trade. So, if any of these players were forced to go along, they would court disaster. What’s more, the Congress voted for a “relief” worth trillions, and these monies must be borrowed: the US was running huge deficits even w/o that extra spending.

To summarize, now is the worst time to undermine the credibility of the US Treasuries, and moron-in-chief and lesser morons in DC are talking about doing just that.

If reserve currency status goes kaput, dollar value will go down by 50% at least. That means Americans standard of living goes down by 50% or more.

Then why do you believe that shipping goods, under present conditions, makes China richer? Shipping stuff only makes you richer if you receive something more valuable in exchange.

China receives US dollars which is the world’s reserve currency. That means that commodities on the world market like oil, coal, iron ore, grains are priced in dollars. These do have value for the Chinese and they need dollars to buy them.

If the US dollar loses its reserve status, then it’s a whole different question. The dollar’s exchange rate would then depend on the US economic performance alone.

People of the US don’t have any real say about anything. They’re just pushed around and looted by a whole collection of special interests. In these circumstances most people just get by and do what they can to avoid the worst of the abuses.

The situation probably only changes when they are completely economically knocked out, and the quickest way for this to happen would be for the dollar to fast devalue. Working people could just about survive, but people on fixed incomes and savers (the middle class) would be wiped out.

The US won’t become Brazil because it has a large Anglo population who can remember the power and success that they once had – and they’ll likely contrast it with their present bad situation. IOW they’ll change from acceptance to radicalization.

  109. @AnonFromTN

Your comment is one of the smartest in the thread, so now I have a question. The U.S. trade deficit persistently runs about 5 percent of GDP. If the U.S. dollar ceased to be the world’s reserve currency then the U.S. trade deficit would (as far as I know) dwindle to about zero percent, foreigners being unwilling to take and hold dollars in exchange for goods. Is this right?

If so, then would the end of the reserve currency not make the U.S. about 5 percent poorer in real terms?

Five percent poorer is not insignificant but is hardly cataclysmic. Moreover, if it is true (as some have written) that the end of the reserve currency implies the end of America’s overseas military operations, then the U.S. could recoup 1 or 2 of the 5 percent in smaller military budgets. In net, the U.S. ends up 3 or 4 percent poorer.

Also, the U.S. is left to manufacture that 3 to 4 percent domestically, since foreigners would not manufacture it for us any longer. Since manufacturing runs 11 percent of GDP, this would expand U.S. manufacturing by about a third. Is that not what we want?

More questions would have to be asked and I have undoubtedly overlooked significant details, for instance about the eventual return home of dollars already abroad, but such auxiliary questions do not look crucial to me.

As far as I know, the biggest threat the U.S. faces is not the end of the reserve currency but the Democalypse—that is, the dilution and replacement of the northwest European population that made the U.S. great and rich in the first place. I see the end of the reserve currency as (a) inevitable, (b) manageable, (c) not entirely undesirable, and (d) comparatively minor.

I am no economist. What did I get wrong here?

I see the end of the reserve currency as (a) inevitable, (b) manageable, (c) not entirely undesirable, and (d) comparatively minor.

I am not an economist, either. I agree with all of that except (d) – if it could be accomplished peacefully, this would become a rebirth of the US as a country out of death of the Empire. In fact, if it weren’t for outrageous military expenses, the US would have balanced budget today.

However, there are several not so optimistic consequences: the US would be unable to convert paper into money by printing dollars; today the US is in debt by more than its entire GDP; restoration of industry is a prolonged process that requires serious investment of capital (it is always easier to destroy than to build), etc. For a few years we won’t have enough of many useful things: clothes, footwear, lamp bulbs, bolts and screws… In fact, the US would become poorer by much more than just a few percent. But that would be a road to health of the country, which our elites are reluctant to take for selfish reasons. The destruction of the population (as you expressed it, Democalypse) is done by elites for their own benefit, exactly like shifting production to China. Our enormous waste (Pentagon budget) is also the doing of the elites: they are only good at stealing public money, and “defense” is a pretext the sheeple is likely to buy, even though nobody attacked the US since 1941.

I am no economist. What did I get wrong here?

Basic mistake is assigning no cost to transition. The post-WW II world bargain has been something like:
    1) US provides stabilization – protects trade routes, prevents general wars. (Note that all Middle East expeditions since Bush I have been presented in terms of increasing stability. They have all decreased stability, but they were all presented, world wide, as increasing stability.) The US has also effectively industrialized all areas of the world that were capable of industrialization — a primary goal of the post-WW II era.
    2) In exchange, the US can
    a) borrow almost unlimited amounts of money (National Debt),
    b) import an effectively unlimited number of foreigners, effectively paid for with borrowed money, to support its voting class in conditions that are luxury compared to those of comparable ethnic groups in their own countries
    c) transfer the task of basic manufacturing for use by the US voting class to other industrialized countries.
    d) engage in international projects (color revolutions, wars) motivated by its own internal politics (e.g. the Democrat’s decision to support S. Vietnam so they wouldn’t have to face a Vietnam version of the “who lost China?” question), provided only that these be of small scale and only monetary support be given. Note: monetary support can be used to rent mercenary services.

And that’s it. This is about the same bargain offered by Rome to its Empire, and about the same bargain actually delivered by most historical Empires.

Now, Empires have previously risen and previously fallen. Historically, it wasn’t unusual for the heartlands of fallen Empires to be razed to the ground and the inhabitants of the capital city to be killed or enslaved. WW II was very close to being a reversion to this practice.
The British Empire is the most recent example, however (taken over by the US). What happened to the UK after its Empire was abandoned to the US post-WW II? Their society ended (it had been buckling since about AD 1905) and they came under foreign (US) domination. After that, nothing good has happened in the UK. The UK is, in fact, in some danger of breaking up.

As is the US, since the benefits of empire have become concentrated (as in the Roman example) and cannot be extended to the present generation of voters — no money available for that, it’s all poured into “stabilizing the economic system”.

So: what you’ve neglected is that the cost of transition away from empire (which appears to be happening without your intervention or mine) has historically, and is having at present, severe costs. The US has some chance of surviving, as it has the land, labor, and capital for effective autarky (unlike any other present country), but it only has a chance. Internal disputes could make survival impossible.

If the US were forced to switch from borrowing to printing press, the decline in dollar value would be a lot more than 50%. So, it might be even scarier than we can imagine.

There is no borrowing and/or printing money anymore. It has been for a very, very long time. It is just a debit and credit in Federal Reverse System (FRS) and the balance sheet remains the same. Debit and credit.. debit and credit… debit and credit with no affect on the balance sheet. There is hardly any real money left in circulation. Try to buy a brand new car worth $30,000 in cash and see what will happen to you.

Even the smallest transaction like buying a $2 coffee at Starbucks, one will flip out either your debit or credit card for the simplest and insignificant amount. Debit and credit… debit and credit… debit and credit…. The FRS balance sheet remains the same!

USA is already implementing cryptocurrencies as reserve replacing the dollar, and it will not have any negative affect on USA dollars nor the USA economy. Maybe, settle on one cryptocurrency or two/three cryptocurrencies.

The budget deficit doesn’t matter and USA is in the process of implementing Negative Income Tax which was first purposed by McGovern in 1972, when he ran against Nixon as a President Candidate for the Democratic Party.

One of the best conservative economist is Milton Friedman, and he has purposing for years a constant money supply (M1) to grow about 4% annually, with the interference of FRS and their three useless tools. By the time the FRS acts the trend is already reversed. Friedman is also a proponent of Negative Income Tax. God bless coronavirus, as Americans are allergic to socialism.

In economics, a negative income tax (NIT) is a welfare system within an income tax where people earning below a certain amount receive supplemental pay from the government instead of paying taxes to the government. Such a system has been discussed by economists but never fully implemented. According to surveys however, the consensus view among economists is that the “government should restructure the welfare system along the lines” of one. It was described by British politician Juliet Rhys-Williams in the 1940s and later by American free-market economist Milton Friedman.

Negative income taxes can implement a basic income or supplement a guaranteed minimum income system. In a negative income tax system, people earning a certain income level would owe no taxes; those earning more than that would pay a proportion of their income above that level; and those below that level would receive a payment of a proportion of their shortfall, which is the amount their income falls below that level.

You obviously are entirely clueless about the tricks of the trader con artists use to lure their suckers. It’s by implication. You say something that strongly implies a conclusion you want your sucker to jump to, but without expressly affirming it. Then if it turns out to be wrong, your defense is “I didn’;t say that. Prove to me I directly said it.” And, of course, he’s right, he never expressly said it, he merely imlied it y noting how disinfectant can be used to cleanse the body. And anybody takes it as literally as he implied it, he take him off the hook.

TRump is a master at this technique. He rarely lies directly. It’s always by implication. An even better one was his saying back in January that there are only 10 infected people and maybe there will soon be none. But then again. we’ll see. Okay, that comment encompassed every possibility, so if taken literally it meant nothing. Of course, he meant it to be taken that it will all be over soon anyway so we don’t have to do anything more right now. And BTW, I don’t want the passengers from the cruise ship with infected poeple on board to land to land because it will drive my numbers up.

And this is the clown you think is telling you stuff straight up.

Hey, Barnum said a sucker’s born every minute. You sure prove him right.

Fortunately, we Americans will be fine. We’ll just have to start making our own washing machines and other goods again. We wanted to do that anyway.

Your post is excellent but misses the mark. The automation and robots will make the washing machines and NOT the manual labor. Even this will happen in China too.

The transpiration is becoming driver less. Robots will help load the goods, unload the goods and install the goods too.

With cheap oil, all economies are going to thrive. Even the food is produced and transported with oil. You described ways the US is implementing a Ponzi scheme.

No, there is no Ponzi scheme and you fail to realize that most jobs even in China are going to be automated too. You failed to realize again, the Ponzi scheme is the useless highly inflated papers sold in the securities market as stocks and bonds. Which intentionally crashed again in the disguise of FAKE coronavirus and the US government bailed them out to buy back their stocks and bonds to keep their inflated value. This happened in 2008 too.

Robots work 24/7 without breaks for food and cup of coffee. They don’t have to drive to work, they don’t take showers, get tired and they are at their jobs all the times. Governments will run balanced budgets by taxing individual who can afford a higher rate and taxing the massive corporations at a higher rate too. Without us the consumers without money as we all will be unemployed by automation, who is going to buy the productions of the corporations. And, as Dr. Paul Craig Roberts suggested on this forum by government bailing out the business in 2008 and now, they will have controlling interest in those business, as the business will never be able to repay their debts.

Your other suggestions remind me of a joke “if you believe that unlimited growth is possible, you are either mad, or an economist”.

Again you missed the mark. With managed inflation of 4%, the annual 4% growth is not unlimited growth. With ever increasing population, the inflation will run around 4%.

  134. “So, the administration is desperate to change the narrative and has decided to hit on the old expedient, namely seeking out a foreign enemy to distract from what is going on in the nation’s hospitals.”

That may be what they want you to think. The orange clown administration’s apparent “incompetence” may be just a facade behind which hides their calculated treachery.

First of all there are too many trolls all over the internet coordinately making the same claim, and that in itself is suspicious.

Second, there are too many things that don’t add up. For example, why would Trump make a big deal about hydroxychloroquine, be harshly criticized for it, and demand that the FDA authorize it for emergency use…but only to treat “certain hospitalized patients with COVID-19”?

This makes no sense whatsoever. The whole point of using hydroxychloroquine in the first place is to treat high-risk patients EARLY before their condition deteriorates to the point that they have to go to the hospital with “cytokine storm” and thus overwhelm the “healthcare” system.

Why should Trump – supposedly the advocate of treatment with hydroxychloroquine – have to be pressured into allowing doctors and patients to decide when to use it in an outpatient setting?

    https://www.libertyheadlines.com/800-doctors-petition-covid-drug/

The orange clown administration’s “incompetence” in dealing with COVID-19 is reminiscent of the Bush administration’s “incompetence” in preventing (or at least mitigating) the 9/11 attack.

The Bush administration had warnings and failed to act. The orange clown administration had warnings and failed to act. Bush sat in a school classroom in Florida when the attack happened, and at first acted like it was no big deal. Trump at first minimized COVID-19 like it was no big deal, e.g. “it’s like the flu”; people who have it should “go to work” etc. The Bush administration blamed Osama bin Laden for 9/11 without any meaningful investigation, and the orange clown administration is blaming China without any real investigation.

What would’ve happened if instead of the spectacular failure of the U.S. national security apparatus on 9/11, the alleged hijackers were stopped?

In that case there’d have been no pretext to trash the constitution, erect a domestic police state, consolidate power in the executive branch, and attack Afghanistan and Iraq in pursuit of a pre-existing agenda.

Just like the Bush administration needed casualties, destruction and hardship to rally the people against the Arab/Islamic world who allegedly did us harm, team orange clown needed casualties, economic destruction and hardship to rally the people against the evil Chinese communists, who allegedly did us harm. We’re seeing the same kind of jingoism now that we saw in the aftermath of 9/11.

I think China was set up to take the blame for a U.S. “government” biowarfare attack. The U.S. “government” apparently cooperated with and funded the Wuhan lab and conducted joint studies. I think this was all a ploy to get some inside information and maybe take some pictures that could be used later to build a circumstantial case against the lab alleging that lax safety standards and practices at the lab allowed the virus to escape.

The evil orange clown has gone out of his way to antagonize China almost since the day he was inaugurated. I believe that the attack was an attempt to destroy China economically destroy and and perhaps politically destabilize China, but because of quick decisive action by the Chinese government, the virus was contained and the attack fizzled. So now we’re seeing plan B being put into operation.

Why would the Chinese elites bend over with their pants down? They are already poised to be the number 1 country soon. They are already the biggest economy, soon to be equal militarily.

Even the best Jewish card, the fake Holocaust does jack shit in China. The Chinese simply look at the number of their own dead during ww2. Their first thought would probably be “nigga please”.

The Chinese also are not altruistic to the point of commiting racial suicide. Not allowing immigration to the point of replacing the native population. Have firm control over their own country. Microphones in China are in Chinese hands.

I honestly think the Asian pivot in 2012 was because the Chinese elites would not buy into the “democracy fantasy”. They would not bend over to be fucked.

China doesn’t seem to be in any hurry to tap their economy and industrial capacity to any great extent.

The United States expends some 3.3 % of its economy on military matters (“defense”), while China has its defense expenditure informally capped at around 1.9-2%. The U.S. figure has barely budged since the Iraq War days post 9/11.

These percentages alone very strongly suggest that China is not a country looking for any kind of conflict.

The U.S. spending is also reasonably low, (albeit going to much more aggressive ends) – what ever else may be wrong with the American economy and our society, scaling back the wars alone will simply NOT fix it. Sobering thought. (But no more wars would be a fine start, and morally needed.)

Just an observation, pertinent I think to this point.

In the 1980s and early 1990s, Japan seemed to be poised to be the number one economic power. Of course, America was still dynamic then, so it may have been too early for the Cabal to “jump ship” to Asia, to to speak.

Still, one could conjecture that they would try to institute a long-term infiltration/undermining program in order to control Japan behind the scenes. Perhaps they did try, and are still trying – but all of their efforts have very clearly failed. They did partially succeed in derailing Japan via the Plaza Accords, but not in becoming ensconced in the Japanese power structure.

Japan has proven impervious to their schemes. Ditto with South Korea and Taiwan – they have some influence, mostly due to America strong-arming these countries, but on their own, they have nothing.

Some of them tried to take over a South Korean conglomerate, and were ripped apart by South Korean media, and decisively defeated by South Korean shareholders on mostly patriotic, racial, grounds.

Even South East Asia is proving a difficult target, with the exception of the Philippines, but even there they have to contend with the Overseas Chinese and the colonial hold-overs, the Spaniard Mestizos.

So now, the Cabal are going to somehow subvert and manipulate the Chinese, the world’s longest running identity, and the Chinese will of course not notice this and just allow it?

Their chances of success are infinitesimal.

The importance of US dollar reserve status is probably underrated.

For example, Imperial Great Britain was the world’s leading manufacturing and trading nation in the 19th century, and the world’s reserve currency was the Pound Sterling.

The British Empire was largely intact in 1914 (prior to WW1) but collapsed in the two world wars, with Indian Independence (1947) marking the end. The US dollar then, in turn, became the world’s reserve currency, reflecting the fact that the US was the world’s new leading manufacturing and trading nation.

    The point is, that the Pound Sterling fell from £ 1 = $ 4 (1946) to £ 1 = $ 1.6 (1978) which is a 60% devaluation.

Imported world traded goods became 60% more expensive for British people, with balance of payments crises, industrial strife, exchange controls (limit on Sterling taken out of the country) and inflation briefly hitting 25% in 1975.

If the US dollar lost its reserve status, then the US could expect the same, although it’s not so clear what would replace the Dollar. Maybe the Euro or a Euro/Yuan hybrid.

In any event, if the Dollar devalued 60%, that would mean inflation (prices on Walmart shelves +60%), a 60% reduction in the value US transfers to Israel, the end of the US outsourcing model, shortages as US manufacturing struggles (and fails) to efficiently manufacture everything from clothing to computers, and severe poverty for the US public plus financial crises as the value of US bonds collapse (government/FED can’t issue new debt).

The goal of the First Lebanon War was to bring down the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and turn the country into Palestine, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak has said in a shocking admission about the true intention of the Zionist state.

Israelis were told that the objective of the 1982 invasion of Lebanon was to remove forces belonging to the Palestinian Liberation Organisation and end the threat posed by the resistance group to its northern communities. Barack admitted that this was untrue, explaining that the real goal was to use the “pretext of Palestinian terror” to force the PLO back to Jordan where they would take over government from the Hashemite Kingdom.

“The idea was to use the pretext of Palestinian terror, which they (the PLO) were providing us with, to attack them in south Lebanon and turn that into a leverage [Israel can use] and join the Christian (forces) in Beirut,” Barak said in an interview with Maariv, the sister publication of the Jerusalem Post.

READ: ‘President Biden’ would not erase Trump’s concessions to Israel

“The assumption was that they (the PLO) will have to return to Jordan and unlike what happened in 1970 (when the late King Hussein ordered the forcible expulsion of the PLO) this time they will be ready and take over the government.”

“And in that way Zion is redeemed,” Barak continued.

But we need to reflect on this . Jordan is a nanny, was an ally of Israel, has been an ally overt,y and covertly from 1948 .

If Israel could stab Jordan whose crucial lack of engagement had helped Israel survive in its formative years ,what would save USA or Russia or China from Israel.?

  167. KA says:

The goal of the First Lebanon War was to drive the PLO out of Lebanon and into Jordan, former prime minister Ehud Barak said in an interview with Maariv, the sister publication of the Jerusalem Post.
The Israeli hope was that the PLO would have “learned the lessons of Black September (1970)”, when it clashed with Jordanian forces and was forced to leave Jordan – turning the country into the de facto Palestinian state, he said.

Israel is currently marking 20 years since the IDF pulled out of southern Lebanon, a decision taken and carried out by Barak when he was prime minister.

The First Lebanon War has been seen as Israel’s attempt to aid Lebanese Christians in that country’s Civil War in order to gain a regional ally. The motivation was that a Christian-dominated Lebanon would have been supportive of the Jewish state as two minority-countries in the region.

Using religious fanatic or nationalist also is not something that is new to Israel. A Christian Lebanon is like ISIS ‘s Levant. No opposition to exclusive ideas ,no tolerance of differences .

If the US were not keeping the lid on world wide local wars and keeping the sea lanes open for _almost_ all commercial traffic, the resulting drop in trade would leave no money for Federally run “national health care”.

No money? Why? And what is money, anyway?

I doubt that events will work out remotely the way you expect. I am not aware of any substantial mechanism that would cause them to. Are you?

If sea lanes close, what is that to us, compared to the cost of operating the U.S. Navy? And why should local wars be our business? I don’t want my son to die in one. Yours?

Look, unlike some commenters, I am no absolutist. A measure of wisdom might be found on either side. I am willing to admit that nearly any significant change to the international order is likely to bring significant, unpredictable, negative consequences. Bad actors are likely to benefit from chaos in the short run. I get that.

Nor do I despise moderately short-run thinking. After all, of what does the long run consist, other than of a patchwork of short runs?

Nor am I an accelerationist. And, in my experience, it is observable that citizens who think generally as you do are the backbone of our country.

But, sir, at some point, what the United States has been doing for the past 70 years becomes unsustainable. Maybe an orderly retreat now would be preferable to a crisis the U.S. lacks the power to meet later?

Regarding trade, autarky is not the answer to everything but, really, it’s a pretty good idea on the whole. As Josh Hawley has recently summarized, “If we need it, we should make it.”

The U.S. is not as Belgium or Taiwan. The U.S. is a vast, continent-spanning federation capable of making most of what it needs without straining too hard. Why should the U.S. not again take advantage of this happy circumstance? It sure beats garrisoning Afghanistan and patrolling the South China Sea.

Foreign wars are generally a bad idea, yet what are U.S. troops doing overseas if not fighting in, or staging to fight in, foreign wars?

No, we Americans need to rethink our approach to the world. There has got to be a better way.

At present there are just over 4 per cent Muslims (proxy for the unassailable browns) and 3 per cent blacks in the UK. My take is that British white insularity outside London and the garlands of the North of England will protect Britishness. After all, it seems that they couldn’t even accept the estimable “Polish plumbers”. By contrast the combination of Muslims and non Muslim blacks in France would be nearly double that of the UK and rising fast because of relative fertility.

The black population alone in the US is nearly 14 per cent.
All three countries are in trouble but I think their demographics have to be considered separately.

While and whereas I agree with you about the futility of voting, I do believe you are still concentrating on the …er…not wrong things, just the upper-level stuff. The problem lies not in this party or that, it lies in the very basis of party politics. The same people who gave us the concept of gods that require sacrifice and worship are the same ones that gave us the stupid idea of Party Politics.
I SAY UNTO THEE: There is not one iota of difference between a political party and a mafia gang. There is no difference between Political Theory and Religion. Economists are just a satanic cult within the religious soup of …ISMs.

OB Wangjob has a point there, name-calling is for children. Also, this was announced a year ago, the viraus’ GMO-ing has been celebrated for at least five or ten years. This is an engineered virus, it is deadly to certain demographics, and the Fed let it free regardless. In the end, it was menat to be an exercise, which brings me to this:
Imagine this was a really serious virus, kills 90% of any population it touches. Natural or weaponised, this thing is released in your part of the world. Now:
Sit back, stop arguing about irrelevant nonsens about whodunnit and Orange Man Bad. Look at the precise operational actions of your government. Is this how you would like them to handle a real epidemic? What should they be doing? What should you be doing? What could be done better?
THIS IS AN EXERCISE, how effectual is this? A scarve around your mouth to stop that new Millennial Mustard Gas?
Stop pointing fingers, the academic papers are plentiful and freely available, we even know the people’s names who published those papers. Now, how are you going to use this as a learning experience for The Real Thing?
…or sit around bitching because the Bolshies are using our ignorant fear to strip more pension funds. You should have complained when they ‘legalised’ stuff like derivatives and hedge funds.

Yes , it is time for american military to come home let the world destroy itself with its millenium old hatreds of one another . Let aloha americans concentrate on americans and its own peoples . Me personally am not against the north american union if done properly .

Fact is MANY white people were brought to america as slaves . America was to be all nations dwelling in love to one another under the Creator .

China is proven enemy of HUMANITY because it spawned genghis khan

Expel people who support fake israel as open traitors to this republic

All debts so called by the federal reserve are false debts .

Start basing american money on simple commodities ; i.e. wheat, barley, fruit etc.

NYC needs to be treated as a foreign entity which it is

Anyone who doesn’t strive to love his neighbor as himself is enemy of mankind
Anyone who has visited the modern fake state of israel needs to be considered an enemy of truth and peace .

i would offer all Palestinians who renounce hate a place to live in america which i consider all of north america . You will then see the haters in the middle east .
    Sadly it won’t ever happen

America can support russia if russia renounces communism .

Recall South Africa which proceeded quite far in a nuclear weapons program in 1980s primarily in coordination with Israel.. a few clues were detected chiefly the bright flash picked up by a satellite in South Atlantic Waters. It wasn’t until after the end of apartheid govt in @1994 that south Africa acknowledgement came on how far it had proceeded.. recall as I said once a govt makes political decision to seek The Bomb…not a public press release! The decision and all actions to implement it can be in secret, subject only to what spies can uncover. So no I stand by what I said… One further thought…would anyone give covert support or assistance to a Taiwan nuclear weapons program? Tokyo? India? Neither Japan or India are gushing in love with China.

    Despite the fact that,
American cigarettes could be much safer( Japanese smokers get only 6x lung cancer, in America it’s 40x) , partly because of better diets, but also because Japanese cigarettes don’t have appreciable amounts of pollonium( yes American cigarettes are radioactive, but they don’t have to be , or at least not as) , plus the facts that US cigarettes don’t have charcoal filters ,and have many more added carcinogens ( just nitrosamines Americans get approx 3x( https://abcnews.go.com/Health/WellnessNews/cdc-american-made-cigarettes-cancerous/story?id=10799437)

Dr broda Barnes could basically prevent almost all heart attacks in his patients no later than 1976, by lowering homocysteine and aggressively treating hypothyroidism.

I could seriously come up with hundreds of other examples.

So despite all this evidence, we should just pretend our government has our best interests at heart , and behave docilely, huh?

Don’t be waving those guns around, that us Americans cling to.( Nevermind the supreme Court has repeatedly said, no matter how bad the police response is when you call, they have no liability ( sat outside Orlando nightclub and parkland for hours like cowards)
And when seconds count, the police are just minutes away, best case scenario.

Nevermind that in Florida between 87 and 88( first year you didn’t need government permission, ( didn’t have to know the chief) to carry a gun as long as you met certain requirements, rape went down approximately 40%) , we still shouldn’t be doing anything ,that would cause our oligarchs to lose sleep, right?

Despite all our wasteful and unnecessary defense spending, when the FBI is underfunded when it comes to kiddie porn( per NYT, and Eric striker) , despite US manufacturing untruths as an excuse to kill brown people, and our country killing brown people hand over fist, starving children in Yemen, despite our country lowering barriers to killing third worlders illegally( like Trump pardoning war criminals, does he realize things have to be pretty atrocious before green berets and SEAL,’s turn on their own)?, but making it more difficult to defend your family, in your place of birth. In some rural areas police response time of an hour would be a miracle.

Despite the fact that our government almost certainly murdered pat Tillman

You sir are a moron, a coward, almost certainly a cuck , and I’m thoroughly embarrassed to have such a statist lickspittle as a countryman.

Two more dangerous toxins that “our” corrupt “government” allows our mass-murderers to put into our food, nutritional and pharmaceutical products are “food grade” titanium dioxide (aka titania) and silicon dioxide (aka silica).

The problem with these amorphous powders is that the particle size distribution extends down into the tens of nanometers range, and such small particles can penetrate physiological barriers that would block larger particles, causing oxidative stress and inflammation.

The evidence is accumulating that these amorphous nanopowders may be etiological factors in everything from diabetes to colon cancer to Parkinson’s disease.

Titania is generally used as a colorant/opacifier in donuts, candies, gum, toothpaste, soap, and many pharmaceutical and nutritional supplement products etc. and silicon dioxide is generally used as a “flow agent,” in the manufacture of many food products, e.g. Mrs. Grass Noodle Soup, and way too many pharmaceutical and nutritional products to list.

For anyone here who values their health, check the ingredients list on everything and don’t ingest anything that contains titania or silica.
