It is not often that one can agree with the pronouncements made by former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Brennan, but his tweeted comment on the killing of Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh suggesting that the incident “…was a criminal act & highly reckless. It risks lethal retaliation & a new round of regional conflict. Iranian leaders would be wise to wait for the return of responsible American leadership on the global stage & to resist the urge to respond against perceived culprits” was both restrained and reasonable. Or it was at least so until sentence two, which was clearly intended to attack Donald Trump and praise the incoming Joe Biden administration, which Brennan just might be seeking to join.

Bearing in mind that John Brennan was the guiding hand behind President Barack Obama’s kill lists of Americans who were marked for death by drone it is difficult to understand what moral high ground he seeks to occupy in the slaying of Fakhrizadeh. Brennan, who was a leading critic of Trump and who may have led the clandestine effort to undermine his election and term in office, subsequently found himself in an exchange of tweets with Republican Senator from Texas Ted Cruz which degenerated into a trading of insults. Cruz responded “It’s bizarre to see a former head of the CIA consistently side with Iranian zealots who chant ‘Death to America.’ And reflexively condemn Israel. Does Joe Biden agree?” This produced a riposte by Brennan that “It is typical for you to mischaracterize my comment. Your lawless attitude & simple-minded approach to serious national security matters demonstrate that you are unworthy to represent the good people of Texas.”

The assassination of Fakhrizadeh, the “father of Iran’s nuclear program,” took place on a road near the town of Absard to the east of Tehran. According to initial accounts, the Iranian scientist, who has long been targeted by name and in public fora by Israel, was traveling in an SUV together with his wife plus bodyguards and a driver. Initial reports suggested that there was a Nissan truck parked on the opposite side of the road loaded with what appeared to be wood, though it may have turned out that the wood was concealing a bomb which may have been triggered by a signal from a surveillance satellite. The bomb was detonated to disable Fakhrizadeh’s vehicle before an attack on the car by five or six gunmen with automatic weapons who had emerged from a vehicle following the SUV began, again according to initial reports, including reporting by eye witnesses. The Iranian official news agency FARS is now claiming, however, that the attack was carried out by a remote controlled machine gun concealed on the truck, which subsequently exploded, and no human attackers were involved. It is presumed that the bodyguards and driver were killed in the exchange. Fakhrizadeh was badly wounded and died in hospital shortly thereafter. Photos of the SUV reveal shattered windows, blood streaks, and numerous bullet holes as well as other damage from what may have been the bomb.

Iranian news agencies are now reporting that at least one of the attackers has been arrested, and if that is true he will surely be made to talk regarding what he knows. They are also reporting that two of the assailants were killed in the exchange with the bodyguards, which, if true, means they will possibly be identified. Clearly, the attack was well planned, was able to employ considerable resources, and was based on intelligence that would be very hard to obtain, particularly as the Iranian government was taking steps to protect Fakhrizadeh, to include details of his travels.

The killing comes just two weeks after intelligence officials confirmed that Al Qaeda’s second-highest leader Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah was shot dead together with his daughter by alleged Israeli supplied assassins on a motorcycle on August 7th. The hit was reportedly carried out at the request of the United States based on Abdullah’s claimed involvement in the 1998 deadly attacks on two U.S. Embassies in East Africa. The claim that Iran has been harboring al-Qaeda is already being used by the Trump White House to justify increased pressure on Iran and it might possibly even serve as part of a casus belli.

The two assassinations are not linked except perhaps in terms of sending a message to high level Iranians that they are not safe even in their own country even when they are given bodyguards. The claim that Fakhrizadeh was in charge of a secret Iranian weapons program, made regularly by Israel and the U.S., is not generally believed by most authorities. Iran is a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, which nuclear armed Israel is not, and its facilities are subject to regular unannounced inspections.

Likewise, the killing of Qods Force commander General Qassem Soleimani in January in a U.S. drone attack was intended more regarding sending a message concerning possible consequences of reckless behavior than it was about actually killing one man. Whatever programs Fakrizadeh and Soleimani were involved in will continue without them. Nevertheless, assassination of Iranians linked to the country’s former and current nuclear program has been Israeli policy since 2010. As many as a dozen Iranian scientists and technicians reportedly have been killed. So-called “targeted killings” have been a regular feature of Israel’s “national defense” strategy. In addition to the Iranians, at least seventy Palestinians have been assassinated.

Though Israel has clearly ordered the assassinations, it is generally believed that the actual preparation for the attacks have been carried out by Mojahedin e Khalq or MEK, a Marxist cult that came into prominence at the time of the Iranian revolution against the Shah. It is generally regarded as a terrorist group that once was virulently anti-American and killed a number of U.S. officials. MEK is a curious hybrid creature in any event in that it pretends to be an alternative government option for Iran even though it is despised by nearly all Iranians. At the same time, it is greatly loved by the Washington Establishment which would like to see the Mullahs deposed and replaced by something more amenable to western and Israeli worldviews.

MEK is run like a cult by its leader Maryam Rajavi, with a number of rules that restrict and control the behavior of its members. One commentary likens membership in MEK to a modern-day equivalent of slavery. The group currently operates out of a secretive, heavily guarded 84-acre compound in Albania that is covertly supported by the United States, as well as through a “political wing” front office in Paris, where it refers to itself as the National Council of Resistance of Iran.

MEK, which is financially supported by Saudi Arabia, stages events in the United States in Europe where it generously pays politicians like John Bolton, Rudy Giuliani and Elaine Chao to make fifteen-minute speeches praising the organization and everything it does. It’s paying of inside the Beltway power brokers proved so successful that it was removed from the State Department terrorist list in 2012 by Hillary Clinton even though it had killed Americans in the 1970s. MEK also finds favor in Washington because it is used by Israel as a resource for anti-Iranian terrorism acts currently, including assassinations carried out in Tehran. Israel, in fact, directs most terrorist acts carried out by MEK inside Iran.

So those are the players and, at first glance, one might reasonably come to the Ockham’s razor conclusion, i.e. that Israel ordered MEK to kill Fakhrizadeh, an order which was then executed. But that would be to ignore some of the politics currently playing out in Washington. First of all, Israel would not have carried out the high-level assassination without the consent of the White House. Indeed, U.S. intelligence resources might well have played a key role in locating the Iranian scientist. Second, the Trump Administration has clearly adopted a policy of “maximum pressure” against Iran, which has included strangling the country’s economy through sanctions, condoning Israeli attacks in Syria and elsewhere, and destabilizing moves, to include assassinations, designed to make the nation’s leadership both vulnerable and nervous. It is the application of an Israeli strategic doctrine referred to as “Campaigns Between Wars,” meaning constant aggression to erode an enemy’s ability to fight without actually crossing a line that would start a shooting war.

A direct role by the Trump Administration in the assassination should not be ruled out as it is clearly seeking to harden Iranian antipathy towards any new comprehensive arms control or nuclear agreement with the incoming Biden team. Trump himself reportedly raised the possibility of bombing Iran earlier this month, though he was talked out of it by his national security team, but the Israeli Army meanwhile is on alert in case of an American attack. There are confirmed reports that B-52 bombers, capable of deploying the 30,000 pound penetrator bombs that can destroy targets deep underground, have been sent to the Middle East, presumably to Qatar where the U.S. has its principal airbase in the region. They would presumably be used against Iran’s main nuclear development site at Natanz.

Israel is in a strong position right now. Iran has significant military resources to respond to the killing, including the drones and missiles it developed and used in September 2019 to devastate the state-owned Saudi Aramco oil processing facilities at Abqaiq and Khurais in eastern Saudi Arabia. But if it does react robustly to the assassination and sparks a conflict that inevitably would include the United States, it would be a war that Bibi Netanyahu has long sought, destroying Iran at what he hopes would be minimal cost to Israel. If Iran does not respond, Israel will no doubt push the White House to be even more aggressive in its remaining time in office while hardliners within Iran will also demand an end to any agreements with western powers. Taken together, that would make sure that any attempt by the Biden administration to engage diplomatically with Iran would fail. The ultimate provocation by the United States would, of course, be to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities. Unthinkable? Perhaps, but perhaps not. The Israeli newspaper Haaretz is already reporting that “U.S. President Donald Trump has more than a month before he leaves the White House, and on his way out he could set the world on fire. In starting this conflagration, it seems as though he plans to strike every match in the box. Standing beside him, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be more than happy to lend him a lighter.”

Assassinations and betrayals are cherished traditions for the Zionist Entity. Netanyahu can’t hold a candle to that master assassin, Yitzhak Shamir. As the leader of the “Stern Gang,” Shamir order the murder of Baron Moyne, the British Minister of State and Count Folke Bernadotte, a Swedish diplomat trying to broker a peace agreement between Arabs and Jews. Note: Bernadotte was the uncle of Raoul Wallenberg, the Swede who saved tens of thousands of Hungarian Jews from the Nazis during WW2.

Shamir also ordered the murder of Gerald Bull, the Canadian engineer and ballistics expert in 1990 and most egregiously, the transfer to the Soviet Union of highly classified US military documents stolen by Jonathan Pollard.

So friend or foe, get in the way of Zion and it’s curtains.

To the extent you can pull it off, targeted assassinations of key engineers, mililtary officers and even heads of state are preferable to using military force to accomplish the same objective. There is deniability, low cost and personal accountability.

The Brits went after Reinhard Heydrich in WW2 as the US went after Admiral Yamamoto. General Simon Buckner was oblivious to the slaughter all around him on Okinawa but when he became the highest ranking US officer to be killed in WW2 it probably caused a lot of other senior commanders to lose their appetite for a reprise of D-Day on the Japanese home islands

Clinton was rightfully blasted for not taking out Osama bin Laden when the opportunity presented itself and, as mentioned, Canadian Gerald Bull had no business designing ultra long range artillery for Saddam unless he was prepared to get on Israel’s ‘enemies’ list.

If more top engineers and ambitious military officers were as concerned for their personal safety instead of their careers they might become more careful about just who they were working for!

  4. I think it’s a pincer approach that is being used to control the American establishment. The money angle is out in the open but the “Epstein” or the blackmail angle/leverage is still hidden.
USA is really a strange country now. So many photos, videos etc., confiscated by the FBI and all forgotten. Such a huge scandal; had the Americans public kept their eye on the ball, a large part of this cabal would now be in jail or in Israel.

Obama has lately been sharing his wisdom in public, hawking his book, and Brennan has also been barking in public, both grabbing for the “moral high ground” as stated. The Obama regime instigated the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in Syria and Libya and the uprooting of millions, ruining their lives. This is war criminality on a vast scale comparable to the actions of previous tyrants that we always hear about yet not a whisper about these two who, to be bluntly honest, are up to their elbows in other people’s blood. Yet they’re given generous media platforms to pontificate from.
The Iranians may be forced to retaliate as this assassination is too egregious to allow to pass unanswered. Was Fakhrizadeh the sole repository of Iran’s nuclear knowledge or do they have others who can replace him? If so then this act was just plain terrorism. If this was carried out by this strange group MEK then they are cannon-fodder fools, getting killed for a paycheck they’ll never cash. Other things also come to mind such as the recent massive port explosion in Beirut. Was it really an accident?

What people forget about Bull, is that he started with shooting satellites into low orbit. His Space Research Corp. signed on with the Pentagon to develop the military capabilities, and to that end owned property on both sides of the Quebec – Vermont border that was not subject to normal international travel restrictions between the countries. At the time, he claimed he could shell Mexico City with a nuclear warhead undetectable by radar. His big sin was selling 155mm shell casings to South Africa through a shell company in the Caribbean, contrary to US and Canadian sanctions. He did time for that, and became unemployable as a result. While Bull was likely building the weapon for military purposes, at the time, Iraq was trying to expand its research capabilities. Launching low orbit satellites with a re-usable canon is a lot cheaper than disposable rockets.

Too bad he didn’t get to finish the project for Iraq.

The Saudis have a motive and they are paying for the MEK. I have am rapidly coming to the conclusion that Iran is the bugbear of the Saud family dictatorship, not Israel. Trump did nothing about the Iranian drone strike on Saudi oil refineries. Iran has been shown to be a paper tiger when it comes to offensive action against the US and Israel. The US is is now the energy superpower anywhere. China is currently importing record amounts of American energy, and would have to pay through the nose for it is Iran started something. The US fracking-finance nexus would benefit from war in the Gulf.

The only thing I can think of that Iran is conceivable detering is an expulsion of the West Bank Palestinians, but while Israel has threateningly seemed to toy with that option when the demographics looked unfavourable, it seems to have been finally dismissed in favour of crypto Apartheid. I doubt the current Israel leadership would want to go to the trouble of destroying Iran when the only effect would be to leave some (possibly fanatic) successor the option of ordering a military expulsion of the West Bank Palestinian population.

What is baffling to me is why Iran makes an enemy out of Israel when it has no ethnic, religious or territorial issues at stake. Its a bit like official Washington desperately trying to make Russia an enemy when Russia has done nothing to warrant American animosity.

The Sunni Arab world has come to terms with the reality that the Palestinians are losers and will just have to accept Israel won. Why cannot Shia Iran recalibrate its foreign policy. Maybe Turkey should be the real focus of its animus or Saudi Arabia. Israel has no problem with a Shia crescent through Iraq, Syria and Lebanon other than that the Mullahs have a fixation on confronting Israel.

“When it has no ethnic, religious or territorial issues at stake.”

What a ridiculous statement! The sovereignty of Iran depends on bucking the power of the Zionists. If your country is Kosher, it’s not yours. That’s why the Shah was overthrown. The Iranians support the Palestinians because the Iranians were under the thumb of such people for a very long time. If the Iranian stated wanted to “patch things up with the Zionists” (ie surrender), it could only happen by abandoning everything their revolution was established to accomplish.

Israel is not about a relatively small territory in Palestine. Israel exists because Jews have big plans for the world, and Iran is part of those plans. So long as Iran defies them they will act like the rabies pig Pompeo.

The idea that Syria and Iran “made an enemy out of Israel is absurd.’

Israel seeks to wreck/destabilize the ME and every country in the ME the same way Jews seek to wreck/destabilize every country in the western world.

If you have two functioning brain cells you KNOW that the Jews plan to run the world from Israel while they chop off the heads of chickens in their new temple.

I’m sure all of this is leading up to something wonderful!

That’s your sucker “reality”. Like the reality in 1943, “that the Allies are losers and the Reich has won.” You band of criminals never learn that invaded peoples do not give up, short of a successful genocide. Been like that since Roman times and before. Looks like you guys are too blind to even understand the huge appeal of liberation movements for the people’s imagination.
Now, it looks like you got here too late for a successful genocide, unfortunately for all the Zionists, and the earth is turning. It will turn upside down soon enough, collecting enough forces to chase you colonial invaders out. Remember when no one gave any odds to the Algerians?

  15. Earth in chaos would be more than an interesting book by Emanuel Velikovsky. If either the U$, or the Ko$her No$tra tail which wags that dog openly attacks Iran a lot of bets are off. Their missiles, including devastating ship-killers, are numbered in the thousands, perhaps tens of thousands.

Let’s say that the USS Nimitz and its support group actually does sail into the Persian Gulf and suddenly explodes!

Casus belli with up to 5,000 American sailors lost. Shlomos dancing hilariously all over Occupied Palestine. In a cross between the USS Maine’s loss igniting the Spanish-American War, the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Tonkin Gulf “Incident” and the 911 Inside Job; the false-flag attack by either the Zionists themselves or even Americans in on the scheme similar to shabos goys Cheney and Rumsfeld on 911, would automatically ignite the roughly 60 million Americans who voted for the Kamal’s Foote/ Biden ticket. Led by the Zionist controlled mass-media of mesmerization and misinformation, the outcry would be “attack Iran”.

Thinking the above scenario is merely a pipe dream? Think again. All the above scenarios I mentioned were false flag attacks, including the one on Pearl Harbor where the Japanese had been goaded into attacking and where Roosevelt, along with Admiral King and General Marshall knew of the oncoming onslaught days in advance due to American codebreakers solving the Japanese Navy’s Purple Code. Many Americans still innocently believe “our” leaders would not possibly kill fellow Americans, particularly “our brave sailor boys”. It HAS happened before…more than once.

Dial back to the first paragraph here. All those Iranian missiles. The Saudi and Gulf dictatorships’ oil industries would be transformed into smoking ruins. Ditto from Iran’s Hezbollah ally in south Lebanon and all their missiles trained on Haifa’s oil tanks, Israeli military bases and upscale suburbs of Tel Aviv. If the attacks on Iran are nuclear, all bets are off. The possibility of a full-scale war involving Russia and China should not be discounted.

Could humanity survive a genuine holocaust?

  16. Ron T says:

Let’s hope Iran pays Israel back in kind. After all, the only way to contain the aggressive cancer that is Israel is by using counter aggression. When Israel sees its scientists and diplomats knocked down all over the world (legitimate targets based on Israel’s own behavior), Israelis will put pressure on their government to halt the assassinations. After all, the one thing Israelis love more than assassinations is their vacations in Europe. That will be short term containment. The long term cure is the removal of the cancerous growth altogether.

Not sure I agree. IMO if Trump had opted to attack Iran after being given several chances by the Deep State goons, he would be heading back to the WH & not looking for a graceful exit. Like that time the Pentagon sent that Global Hawk drone into Iranian air space with a Poseidon spy plane following closely but not in their air space. The hope was that Iranian SAMs wouldn’t be smart enough to tell the difference and shoot down the manned Poseidon but they got a surprise.
BTW, the normal crew for that spy plane is 9 people, that day they were carrying 35 so there would be plenty of deaths & allow the worthless MSM to scream for Iranian blood and off we’d go.

This doesn’t mean I approve of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians. Israel treats them horribly. But if you call dwindling territory, disappearing assets, no freedom of movement, bombed out hospitals and schools, nowhere to fish, fields plowed over, intermittent electricity and severely compromised communication with the outside world a victory, quite frankly, you need your head examined.

Israel lords over the Palestinian people.

These “zionists” are the most evil beings humanity has ever produced. Nothing really even holds a candle to the evil and destruction they have brought to the world, and even upon themselves and their own Jewish people; things they of course always blame everyone and everything else in the world for.

It is a core characteristic of being essentially pure bred psychopaths and not just psychopaths, but psychopaths that are referred to as the dark triad; psychopaths that are psychopathic, Machiavellian (callous and calculated and willing to do anything to empower themselves) and pure essence of narcissism (abusive and manipulative to the point of sucking the life out of people through gaslighting and emotional abuse). They are the most evil non-human creatures ever to exist on this planet. There is no humanity in them! If you see yourself as human, and they see you as mere inferior creatures whose only reason for existence is to serve them and be useful to them, then they clearly not human and lack all humanity; because they definitely do not see you as equals to them.

So are you some kind of Jewish racist supremacist, just one of their mindless brainwashed minions, or is this just run off the mill flailing of a poorly educated mind that t makes sense of the myriad of misinformation and disinformation because it lacks the fundamental skills and knowledge to discern reality from propaganda?

Do you know what the word bigoted means? Because either you’re using it wrong or you’re poorly informed. It’s the great irony of calling someone bigoted, because calling someone that in itself is bigoted. You know what’s bigoted .… assassination people in their own country because you don’t like what you believe they are doing … kind of bigoted to the extreme. Not only bigoted, but pure evil by any measure but the measure of the most evil creatures.

Hostile nation doesn’t even begin to capture it. Israel is objectively evil by its own actions and words. They are such maniacal evil psychopaths that they just assassinate people in their own country because they have such a psychopathic group on the whole world that they are drunk on power.

Imagine that China started assassination or scientists in our own country. Sure, it clearly shows and smacks Iran in the face with the obvious fact that they can’t even protect their most valuable assets and a far smaller parasitical society that has taken over the USA as their enforcer muscle, will kill and destroy whatever it wants whenever it wants inside of their own territory, but it also highlights the absolute psychopathic lack of any kind of restraint by the psychopathic “Israelis” who are smacked out of their minds with power.

What we are actually witnessing in the USA Today with this attempted election theft and the setup with the virus and vaccines, is exactly an expression of “Israelis” that are so whacked out on the drug of power that they formed on the USA itself because they’re just maniacal and evil without restraint anymore.

An Islamic-Marxist cult, actually. Giraldi, as usual, is obfuscating. Masoud Rajavi actually made claims to be the promised savior to his captive idiots in Iraq. (The international community, it should be noted, put maximum pressure on Shah’s government to release Masoud Rajava. He is the only member of the original core of MEK to make it out of prison. He was “chosen” from day 1.)

The reason the ex-CIA man is obfuscating is because the entire Islamic Republic project that was signed off on in Guadaloupe was using at least 2 vehicles to roll-in a “Muslim” or “Progressive Muslim” trojan horses and capture Shia Iran. (What is Zionism? Ideological takeover of Judaism. What is Islamic Republic of Iran? Ideological takeover of Shia Islam.)

You would think middle eastern countries would come to their defense. Even wage a war against this worst type of injustice. Nope.

What can they do? Anything that’s tried would have to go through one of Jordan, Syria or Egypt. The first two have neither the ability nor the appetite, while Egypt may have some ability, but it too lacks the appetite. Palestinians have every right to feel disgusted by Arab countries that have slowly warmed to Israel, but to me that’s a sign that their diplomatic ineptitude closely tracks their military ineptitude.

I’ve often asked myself what I’d do if I were a Palestinian. Pressing for ‘equal rights’ within Israel/Palestine is useful, but my feeling is Israel will always be able to genuinely point to sufficient numbers of Hamasniks to justify their refusal to extend equality. In the long run, I figure, the best hope for developing the Palestinian people lies in Jordan. It may take an excruciatingly long time, but at least it offers some plausible hope they’ll one day be sufficiently developed to perhaps regain what they lost. The Hamas route is an obvious loser, the equality route means permanently begging for crumbs, and citizenship in other Arab countries would erode Palestinian identity. Jordan as the Palestinian ethnostate is the best solution for them imo.

Obama squeaked about how “the machinery” made him become the assassinator-in-chief. Everyone except me seems to have forgotten the NYT interview years ago when then President Obama explained that every week he was ordered by Brennan to pick from a short list of targets.

I can think of no greater public debasement of Obama personally and the office of the POTUS than this. And, believe me, that’s a tough competition over his eight years.

Brennan’s continued public presence after Obama left office, let alone still, is a continued stain on our great republic. He’s a Beria-type that should never have been able to rise, let alone shoot his mouth off like he has.

Any ideas…how to fix the problem???

Giraldi is one of the very few gems in the journalistic world who focuses like a laser on the central root of what ails our planet.

Both World Wars were fought over this issue.

The depraved death of the Western world is a direct consequence of this intractable issue.

Jewish (financial) power over our governments, media and institutions. And their use of that nefarious and ill-gotten power to exalt Israel and the Jewish people as the unparalleled masters of our planet, as they simultaneously demand the debased dissolution of all honorably run Muslim governments and Western nations.

The first step in opposing this Satanic agenda for the planet, is mentioning it.

Because as you well know, the entire length and breath of the Western media is completely corrupted by these demonic supremacists, who’re in bed with uber-corrupt regimes like the Saudis and all Western governments.

But not the average guy on the street, who knows nothing at all about what’s going on, because like 96.7% of the people out there, he gets his news and information from the ((media)) and Internet sites like ((Facebook or Google)).

So if humanity is going to fix this problem, they first have to know what it is.

Just ask yourself, IF the vast majority of the citizenry knew who was responsible for 9/11, and all the subsequent wars and death and misery, would they continue to give unfailing and unflinching support for Israel and their minions infesting our media and governments and so forth?

Or, would they begin to look cross-eyed at all these lying, treasonous rats who’re relentlessly shilling their fealty to Israel.

Republican Senator from Texas Ted Cruz which degenerated into a trading of insults. Cruz responded “It’s bizarre to see a former head of the CIA consistently side with Iranian zealots who chant ‘Death to America.’ And reflexively condemn Israel. Does Joe Biden agree?”

That’s how booger-boy shows his moral rectitude, by reflexively demanding fawning obeisance to his masters, (and they better be your masters too!) “Does Joe Biden agree?” Does he crawl and lick their hand like a servile dog? Because if he doesn’t, then there are some people who’re going to want to know that’ is the threat.

He’s a United States Senator, and he snivels around like a cringing dog to the people who despise him as a Christian and wouldn’t hesitate to replace him in a New York second, the moment he displeases them.

But not one in ninety eight U.S. citizens realize that’s the state of affairs, and the only way that is ever going to change, is when rare and courageous men like Giraldi speak up, and tell the truth.

You keep demanding solutions to what ails us, but this state of affairs has existed for over a hundred years, if not longer. And we’re not going to undo it with singular acts of resistance.

It’s going to take a global and concerted effort by all the people of good-will the planet over.

Iranians, Americans, Russians and so forth.

The best we can hope for is the looming death of the dollar. The dollar is their fount of power. And we should all do everything we possibly can to usher in its demise.

Buy physical gold and silver if you can. Toss seeds of truth into the ocean of lies and fake news, when ever you get an opportunity in some conversation somewhere. But you have to be careful. They’ve systematically conditioned the sheople over generations of media and academia to be wary of any information that doesn’t comport to their agenda.

Republican’s knee-jerk support for Israel- as if it were some holy sacrament- is a conditioned response, just as behaviorism luminary B. F. Skinner laid out. Ditto evangelical Christians and others. They know what they’ve been doing, with their Pavlovian imprinting and conditioning.

Our job is to undermine that support and conditioned responses. To plant seeds of doubt in their feeble minds. To ask uncomfortable questions, like who were those ‘dancing Israeli’s’ anyways? And ‘why didn’t they warn us?’

It’s an information war, just as that website says.

Edward Snowden is a Patron Saint of our cause. Julian Assange and many others have sacrificed much (all) to simply inform the sheople.

That’s pretty much all we can do at this point in time.

One day the ‘hundredth monkey’ just might awaken, and with the death of the dollar, a global reset (not the kind ((they)) have in mind), just might save this planet.

    Not quite …

Heydrich (whom even his few friends called “the blond beast”) had to die because he was too freaking popular; he introduced German worker protections (to include turning the large international hotels in Karlsbad and Marienbad into workers´recreation homes) and the Czech workers thought they had woken up in socialist paradise – no one before or after had done anything like it for them.
So the purpose of the assassination was twofold:
    – Disabuse the workers of such silly notions, and
    – to that end, goad the Germans into overreacting
(which Heydrich had opposed tooth and nail).

Pointing the finger at the Czech “elite”-in-exile makes sense, but they would have gotten neither permission nor the RAF infrastructure on their own.

That was my puzzle over Iranian obsession with Israel. Why give a f**k? Who cares?

Iranians are Shiah, so they are not recognized by 90% of the Muslim world; as Iranians/Indo-Aryans, they don’t fit in with Semitic Arabs & various Turkic Muslims.

I would say that the answer is, as far as I could decipher, that their leadership is an apocalyptic sect, something like Christian Zionists in power. They work towards the big BOOOM when, they think, earth will be transformed into some kind of supra-physical life & all world will become transmuted Shia Muslim, therefore confirming they had been right all the time & 90% of other Muslims- wrong (and of course, all infidels).

If you read Qur’anic verses & most scholarly interpretations of them, you’ll see that it is very close to St. John’s Apocalypse. This kind of apocalyptic thinking is universal, but it is, in its clearest form, canonically espoused in the Middle East & India, while real, pre-Christian Europe & China had not much use for it. It possesses two elements: a) some big BOOOM of all earth; b) life of transformed humans/believers on some kind of barely imaginable quasi-physical (but not physical- atoms, molecules, DNA, ..) earth, therefore not yet Heaven or paradise in other, unseen dimensions of God.

So, that’s how the leadership (Ayatollahs, general Soleimani, ..) imagine the world which they are striving for. Most of the rest just go along with them, similar to virtually all Germans in WW2 who were busy with immediate duties & had no time for musing over designs of the 1000 years Reich & other great schemes.

They differ from other sectarians in a few crucial matters. Christian apocalyptic sectarians, now, don’t seem to think that the great BOOM should be accelerated by their political manoeuvres. They, if they should gain power, would not go for WW3. They would let God orchestrate the whole affair (second coming of Christ etc.). Jewish sectarians are even more dependent on the will of God, so while they would like to speed up the great transformation, they think they can best do it through prayer & study of the Talmud- so, their activity is mostly of the quietist kind. Vanished Essenes were of the similar cast of mind.

Even Jeffrey Goldberg is on the defensive about the Israel lobby now, under the shrewd offices of Andrew Sullivan (look at all the weasel words here, I think, I believe, I think, I personally think– uncharacteristic of Goldberg). And Daniel McCarthy picked this up at the American Conservative, a 1986 interview of the late Senator Barry Goldwater by political columnist Jim Kolbe, as Goldwater was retiring. PS. Goldwater’s father was Jewish, and he sometimes referred to himself as Jewish, per Wikipedia. Thanks to Scott McConnell. The interview. Note especially the fear that a special interest could deliver us into war for Israel:

    Fahrizade was against the JCPOA

Why wouldn’t he be? It was a restriction on Iran’s rights as a signatory under the Non-Proliferation Treaty, and cut it out of the billion dollar Technetium 99 radio-pharmaceutical market which requires enrichment to 20%.

I think it is fair to say Wally has done more than enough to expose the Zionists and their religious shield. The question was, “who benefits?” In that context, the links he provides claim opposition to the current Iranian government. I have no doubt that the groups referenced in the links are opposed. The questions arising are:
    – how large is that support?; and
    – are the groups likely to have participated?

Pentagon senior adviser Colonel Douglas Macgregor accused US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other senior politicians of taking money and getting rich from “the Israeli lobby.”

Macgregor, who has just been appointed as a senior adviser to America’s newly-installed Acting Defence Secretary, …

“You have to look at the people who donate to those individuals,” Macgregor is reported saying to CNN during a September 2019 interview when asked if the then National Security Adviser John Bolton and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham wanted war with Iran. “Mr Bolton has become very, very rich and is in the position he’s in because of his unconditional support for the Israeli lobby. He is their man on the ground, in the White House. Its a bit like official Washington desperately trying to make Russia an enemy when Russia has done nothing to warrant American animosity.

I think that US elites hate Russia (and now, China) because they are real world powers based on natural, national principle that true huge empire – if it is to survive when it comes to the pinch, must be: essentially a nation-state (the core people, race, culture, blood & soil,..).

US was anti-communist until Communism collapsed, but, also, US was basically a nation-state of various anglo-americanized whites/Europeans, with a significant black minority & negligible others (except Indians in reservations & movies). It ceased to be so in self-perception, especially elites, somewhere after the 60’s, but actually after the 80/90’s. There are two groups that are instinctively anti-Russian, paleo- anti-communists & ex-Soviet Jews. But they are, I’d say, not the principal enemy of the Holy Russia & the Eternal Han.

Russia is the only world dominant white race country which expressly loathes & denies US/Western Europe new world-view: gays, sex minorities adoration, race mixing & Negrolatry, money oriented life-style, rootless cosmopolitanism as the ideal, world without borders, trans-national capitalism, zombie egoism falsely presented as individualism, loathing of nuclear family & nation as extended family, … Due to its weaknesses, Russia is still assailable on many fronts- but it is unconquerable.

US elites have profited much from China, but in next 10-20 years they will hate China even more. China, although culturally & ethnically too different from Russia (Russia can be the white nationalist ultimate dream country in some future, while China, evidently- not) is the obvious candidate to replace US as the premier world power in most areas (except popular culture) while remaining a nation-state, hostile to cosmopolitan, Anglo-American dominated world elites with their post-cold war sacred cows, which are, at their core, the ideology of the 60’s New Left.

There is a lot they could do. The reason for Saudi King Faisal’s assassination and Saddam`s take down was the oil embargo of the early 70s. Faisal had the audacity to state that if the US stopped funding Israel, there would be peace in a week. Saddam was on board with that. Knowing that wouold never fly in Congress Senators Symington and Glenn introduced an Amendment prohibiting non NPT Signatories from receiving US aid. Just might?

when the dollar collapses, (and it will) then there are going to be massive, and I mean massive hardships in this country.

What good will Social Security and people’s pensions be, when it costs their entire check just to keep the heat on? And next month it won’t even cover that.

Americans have been living a lie, with their government spending trillions all over the globe, murdering people and destroying nations and generally creating enough hatred and misery to earn us the name they give us, ‘The Great Satan’.

But it’s unsustainable, just like all their unfunded mandates and Wall Street bubbles and the war on Heritage America ((they’re)) waging domestically.

They’ve gone insane with hubris, and the only check on that is when it runs its course, just like Rome or England’s empire, and so many others.

Today America is their rabid dog on the world’s stage. Snarling at and menacing anyone and everyone who so much as looks cross-eyed at the shitty little state.

But that too is unsustainable, and most of the 7+ billion souls on this planet are waiting for the glorious day when the rabid dog finally and at long last starts twitching and gurgling and groaning in fits of economic panic and long-overdue comeuppance.

They’re going to start looting on a scale we haven’t seen before, as they realize their time of printing Monopoly money is running out, and they have to use it now to buy up as much real property and things of actual value, before the paper loses its power.

And once the looting gets going in a big way, (more and more and more trillions handed out in secret deals), then it’s going to really start kicking in good at the grocery store, and what used to cost you a hundred dollars, is going to cost you three hundred, and then four hundred, and then a thousand dollars.

I agree with virtually all of what you have posted, however, you assume that the current Iranian regime has, for no reason, hostility toward Israel.
The Iran Contra scam had Israel supporting Iran, because Iran opposed Iraq. Obviously, there was no open hostility on either side. Once Iran and Iraq began end the disastrous war between them Iran became an Israeli enemy along with Iraq. When they normalized relations, exchanged prisoners, war dead, and began co-operating, the SHTF, and it has been so for 30 years. Iranian hostility toward Israel is caused by Israeli hostility toward Iran. Iran, like Iraq under Saddam, are roadblocks to Eretz Yisroel. That is not to say that the current Iranian government is faultless, or, for that matter any other government on the planet.

But I think the real prize for China is technology transfer shakedowns of corporations wanting in on the Chinese home market. Obama gave the Chinese fracking technology! With their cruel competitive natural selection-like system, China needs only access to the US intelectual genetic drift-like creativity and innovation to get ahead. Under Biden the Chinese are going to be given everything that matters to them.

The problem with Iranian moderates is the same as the Weimar Republic, which with a mind to defence built up military capacity and increased centralised tax raising powers, thereby leaving the aggressive Hitler a far more formidable country to wage conquering war than the one the Kaiser had headed. Iranian leadership see the national priority as defence. If they are allowed into the international community and given access to technology and capital they will soon possess a real capability for aggression, which will require US forces to be built up in the region; making Iran paranoid and even more militarized, and so on. Sanctions will prevent a lot of unnecessary trouble. Iran is too big, populous, militarized and the terrain rugged for an invasion. The Central Intelligence Agency could no more overthrow the Revolutionary Islamic Iranian government that the Culinary Institute of America could.

There was a brief moment when it was possible, but it was squandered on pointless bluster and big man politics (eg the Egyptian attempt to dominate the United Arab Republic rather than more equitably share power with the Syrians) which eventually led to an every man for himself approach in Arab foreign relations. (Not officially, of course.)

  118. @Art

It’s not about being “generous,” since I’m in no position to give away either Israeli or Arab territory to anyone. I’m looking at it as an outsider and trying to think what would offer the best prospects for my people’s future if I were Palestinian.

You have a different priority, which is to calculate what course of action might deal Israel the greatest amount of harm. Well okay, I’m sympathetic to that perspective, even if I don’t quite share it – or better said, no longer share it.

Some years ago I watched a documentary, “Palestine: Histoire d’une Terre.” (My French isn’t the greatest, but the narration was very clear and I could understand most of it.) It had a pronounced pro-Arab slant (in the sense that the truth itself is pro-Arab, in this struggle). It was the first time I was ever moved to see things through Arab eyes. I ended up watching it a number of times over, and that eventually lead me to read books by historians like Ilan Pappe, with whom I’d only been acquainted until then through the prism of Zionisit demonology. It became quite difficult to not feel for the Palestinians, an obvious consequence of which was to feel quite negatively towards Israel.

But here’s the thing: the Palestinians’ fight is not my fight. And if you’re pro-white, it’s not really your fight either. No matter how many truth bombs you drop on them, Israeli are never going to feel obliged to cut their own throats. Their situation cannot at all be likened to Rhodesia or S. Africa, in which white libtards themselves pressured their kinsmen into folding (with copious encouragement from organized Jewry, to be sure). Diaspora Jews stand firmly behind Israel. So you have to pick your battles. Do you spend what meager resources pro-whites have fighting Israel, which is almost wholly a lefty cause, and has been for long decades – meaning that even if you “win,” you don’t necessarily win anything – or do you spend them on activities that more directly benefit white interests? (Which at this stage of the game mostly consists of opening white people’s eyes to their own plight.) To me, this is not a difficult question.

    https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/andreas-wagner/life-finds-a-way/

Most readers associate evolution with Darwinian natural selection, but Wagner points out its limited creative capacity. In natural selection, a better adapted organism produces more offspring. This preserves good traits and discards bad ones until it reaches a peak of fitness. This process works perfectly in an “adaptive landscape” with a single peak, but it fails when there are many—and higher—peaks. Conquering the highest—true creativity—requires descending into a valley and trying again. Natural selection never chooses the worse over the better, so it can’t descend. Wagner devotes most of his book to the 20th-century discovery of the sources of true biological creativity: genetic drift, recombination, and other processes that inject diversity into the evolutionary process. […] The human parallel with natural selection is laissez faire competition, which is efficient but equally intolerant of trial and error. Far more productive are systems that don’t penalize failure but encourage play, experimentation, dreaming, and diverse points of view. In this vein, American schools fare poorly, but Asian schools are worse.

Khazarians were a multi-ethnic blend of tribal nations, all cooperating in a state which plundered Silk-Road caravans and raided Slavic areas to take slaves. Their ethnicities may have been dominated by Turco-Ugrian types, but also according to their (Khazaria.com) site, they also drew in Persians, and Kurds (both of Aryan heritage) along with some numbers of Armenians and even Georgians.

The problems I have with the Khazarian theory include the detail that the Ashkenazim speak a dialect of German. That supports the contrary theory that the population originated at least culturally in the Rhineland and spread eastward. This is also what historical data we have indicates. The Ashkenazim spread from west to east, not the reverse.

Personally — given what I understand of human behavior and what is physiologically observable (Netanyahu looks a lot like certain recent Polish gentile politicians, for example), I’d guess the Ashkenazim subsequently incorporated a lot of Slavic blood.

They may also have added some Khazar remnant population — but I don’t see that as likely to be the primary source of the Ashkenazim, either genetically or culturally.

I don’t think this works. The Khazar Khanate vanished long before German became anything like a language of international trade. We’re talking ninth century versus fourteenth century or thereabouts — five hundred years.

You might as well posit Spanish conquistadors having been responsible for the coffee craze of a couple of decades back. There’s a serious chronology problem here.

I’m perfectly open to a Khazar population having been dispersed into Eastern Europe and then having proven susceptible to conversion to Judaism — that’d account for an influx of Khazar DNA. However, I’m skeptical of a direct link between the supposed Judaism of the Khazar aristocracy and the Jews who moved into Eastern Europe from points west.

Language shift is common enough, though, and Yiddish isn’t a “pure” Germanic language. Genetic studies suggest the Ashkenazim have largely Mediterranean origins albeit with an insular population bottleneck, and this frankly makes the most sense: that they gradually then acceleratingly left to “wilder” territories where they could live more discreetly as the Roman Empire crumbled and Christendome arose. An illiterate population (as most under Khazar rule almost certainly were) settling into north central/eastern Europe in the Early Middle Ages would likely have assimilated and Christianized and an indigenous barbarian tribe (as the Germans and Slavs were) in the region would not have emerged converted to Judaism.

‘…Genetic studies suggest the Ashkenazim have largely Mediterranean origins albeit with an insular population bottleneck…’

You may want to look at the results of the actual studies as opposed to their popularization — and who did them. To be brief, I’m firmly convinced that whatever the extent the various Jewish populations are related to each other, they are, above all, related to the gentile populations among which they are found.

You may be assuming that the way Jews act now reflects the way they acted then. It’s to be noted that Jews used to aggressively proselytize. As late as Carolingian times, we have bishops complaining about Jewish landowners converting their dependents to Judaism.

Indeed, considering the zest with which Jews practice exogamy now, I’m extremely skeptical that Jews ever preserved any significant genetic identity. Jewishness is primarily a religious and cultural category (and several of those!) not a genetic one. Trump’s grandchildren may very well grow up to be good little snipers for the IDF — but genetically, they won’t be particularly Jewish.

Shlomo Sand (The Invention of the Jewish People) offers further reading. At the end of the day, a Yemeni Jew looks and acts like a Yemeni gentile more than he looks or acts like a Moroccan Jew, a Ukrainian Jew looks and acts more like a Ukrainian gentile than he does a German Jew, and so on.

  152. @Colin Wright

You appear to have misunderstood my posting. Doesn’t matter that a joint Rus/Persian campaign overthrew the Khanate ca 1051. That huge population had to go somewhere. They did not go far. As a dispersed people with a dispossessed nationality they were open to new directions. By the 1200’s and the era of the Black Death, German influences had seeped eastwards. As a polyglot nation lacking a common tongue, exposure to the Germans and those German Jews who had migrated into Poland, the Yiddish tongue was a natural development.

Then we speak numbers. Though German Jews sought refuge in Poland and perhaps Lithuania, the Ashkenazim moved into the Hungarian lands and both groups mingled in Lithuania, Bohemia and possibly Slovakia. The migrations into Galicia and what is now Belorus almost axiomatically came from the Khazarian diaspora. Culturally, the German Jews were at a much higher level, so it is no surprise that a bastardized version, with some admixture from the Khazarian tongues became the general lingua franca. In total numbers, the Khazarians far outnumbered the mostly Sephardic German Jews.

Reading The Jewish Chronicle, published in Britain (my local library stocked it) it was noticeable how some of the British Jews mentioned in it had identifiably Jewish names but a great many had Gentile-sounding ones, often Irish or Scottish. “Rose” is a common one – it can be a Scottish name but it was often picked to replace names like “Rosenberg”.

I am unconvinced by the Khazarian hypothesis. Early Yiddish seems to have been pretty much Rhineland High German with a few Hebrew words, although since it was written when it was written in Hebrew script, which often does not show vowels, it is hard to be definite.
Another Jewish language that interests me is “Knaanic”, which was Slavic and died out some time in the Middle Ages (replaced by Czech/Polish or Yiddish?) A Wikipedia article on it gives as an example of it a coin with the legend “Mieszko king of Poland”. However, it could just as easily be Czech/Polish written in Hebrew script rather than the usual Latin, and classifying it as a separate language might be unnecessary.

Speaking the local gentile language but using Hebrew characters to write it is suggestive. Isn’t this what would happen if an illiterate gentile population was converted to Judaism? It’s worth remembering that Christianity wasn’t as firmly rooted among the common people in the early Middle Ages as one might assume. It seems to me that if, say, a Jewish population had physically moved en masse into the Rhineland in the tenth century or so, it would have continued to use whatever Mediterranean or Levantine language it always had — at least for written communication. On the other hand, had Jewish merchants and such found it easy to convert only nominally Christian servants and dependents, then that population would have naturally enough begun writing their native tongue in the Hebrew characters they acquired. Here, it’s worth mentioning that Jews in the early Middle Ages were big in the slave trade — they could easily move from the Slavic and German European interior to the Muslim markets in the Mediterranean. I wouldn’t be surprised if converting to Judaism would have been one way to avoid being sold into slavery — which, since it could involve castration, would not necessarily have been an attractive fate, even by the standards of the day.

It’s at least arguable that the use of the local language as a medium of written communication — even if written in Hebrew characters — suggests a local origin for the bulk of the Jewish population.

  156. Aak. Double comment and then I couldn’t edit it.

I just wanted to add that the Jewish prominence in the early medieval slave trade would almost necessarily have meant a lot of disoriented and demoralized captives from the fringes of Christendom would have passed through Jewish hands. Surely it’s not improbable that recruits from those captives could ultimately have come to constitute the bulk of the Jewish population.

Historically, Jews have gone through periods of proselytising and a lot of exogamy, and other periods with very little of either. British Jews do not seem as open to Gentile conversions to Judaism as American Jews have been.
Some Jews I have encountered in life do look pretty interchangeable with people from the Middle East, others could just as easily be Gentile Poles, Czechs, Russians etc. Netanyahu, Miss Riley and Roman Polanski all fall into this latter category. For whatever reason, perhaps due to slavery or concubinage or even just a Jewish employer banging his Gentile maid, I suspect there is a lot of Slavic DNA there.
On the subject of scripts used for languages, I have read of Tatars occasionally using the Arabic script to write Polish but do not know how systematic this was.

MEK was just one of the mercenary groups developed by Mossad operatives inside Iran a decade before the 1979 revolution. Mossad operated out of the third and eighth offices of SAVAK (Iran’s intelligence services itself initiated and set up by Zionist agents). It had plenty of Jewish and Baha’i as well as Moslem agents working under its directives to sabotage Iranian society, pushing it towards Islamist as well as Marxist fervor in order to drown out any and all nationalist and even non globalist internationalists in Iran.
Israel – as the representative of Jewish banking oligarchs that have sought to take over resource rich Middle East for centuries – has been destabilizing Iran via these types of shock troops and radicalization operations.
The extent of damage Zionists have done to Iran goes beyond several volumes of books. It is extensive throughout history – and has existed since Judaism itself appeared out of their theft of mithraic and Zoroastrian principles. It has continued to this day. Their worst crime is one hardly ever spoken of: genocide of 11 million Iranians through a Malthusian famine designed by British zionists working with their counterparts in Iran who hid all food and grain in secret silos and sold outside of the country while Iranians were perishing and even resorted to eating dead animals and some human remains as well!! This was to my knowledge the most horrific purposeful elimination of a people. The country only had about 21 million in population in 1917. Two years later more than held had died from malnutrition and derivative illnesses. British reports uncovered by Dr Gholi Majd described Iranian scattered on side of streets having succumbed to starvation. So much tragedy has been brought upon the Iranians. I would think they’d be hardened like ricks by now. It’s only due to the gift of the long lasting civilization that they are still honorable and resilient. Despite their society having been entrapped by Zionist Islamization the Iranian psyche is still very progressive, strategic and has not at all succumbed to the radicalization Israel had hoped for. That’s what israel is itching to destroy: Iranian civilizational prowess.

The khazarian story is not historically and archeologically supported. Jews have never formed any kingdom called khazaria. In the time frame referred to in the khazarian theory that region of the caucuses was definitely part of Iranian empire and comprised of various “khanates” which were given self governing autonomous rule as was the predominant custom of Iranian political rule over their vast empire. Khazar is a Persian word and the Caspian Sea is sometimes referred to as khazar sea (daryayeh khazar) in Persian. There’s no validity to Jewish rule in that region.

‘…Historically, Jews have gone through periods of proselytising and a lot of exogamy, and other periods with very little of either…’

I think we tend to overestimate any tendency the Jews have to isolate themselves.

For one, what people preach in theory and what they practice are two different things — and we no longer realize how necessary servants were in the pre-modern world. If you want anything much above a basic peasant existence, somebody else is going to have to gather wood, build fires, pluck chickens, heat water for baths, feed and groom the horses, thatch the roof, etc, etc, etc. It was all a lot of work — and many meaningful wealth implied a lot of dependents, and dependents imply aliens being brought in and assimilated. Jews could only have stayed pure if they had stayed poor — and indeed, in readings about the Jews of pre-war Poland, I’ve encountered quite a few references to gentile servants. There would have been a continuous human interchange, and some would have been brought into the fold, so to speak.

For another, our notion of exclusivist, avowedly different Jews owes a lot to the haredim. At least according to Chaim Potok’s The Chosen, these were not an eternal feature of Jewish life, but an artifact of Khmeltyntsky’s

It was all a lot of work — and any meaningful wealth implied a lot of dependents, and dependents imply aliens being brought in and assimilated. Jews could only have stayed pure if they had stayed poor — and indeed, in readings about the Jews of pre-war Poland, I’ve encountered quite a few references to gentile servants. There would have been a continuous human interchange, and some would inevitably have been brought into the fold, so to speak. A rate of contamination of even a few percent per generation would result in all but complete genetic mixing over five centuries or so.

Then too, our notion of exclusivist, avowedly different Jews owes a lot to the haredim. At least according to Chaim Potok’s The Chosen, these were not an eternal feature of Jewish life, but an artifact of Khmelnytsky’s seventeenth century pogrom. We may have an exaggerated notion of the extent to which Jews have isolated themselves over the course of history.

…and the evidence is they often didn’t isolate themselves. For one, the Jewish population of the Roman Empire was far in excess of any population that could have plausibly resulted from emigration from Palestine. For another, as Shlomo Sand demonstrates, the evidence of tombstones is that about half the Jews of the Roman Empire in each generation were converts. Work out what a half is to, say, the sixth power if you want some idea of what proportion of the Jewish population might have had a genetic origin in Palestine.

…and this pattern of recruiting converts may well have continued for more than six generations. As I noted, Carolingian bishops complained that Jewish landlords were converting their tenants. Jews were major players in the early medieval slave trade. Obviously, that would offer a vast supply of potential converts. Indeed, that could explain the high IQ of which Ashkenazim are so inordinately proud. Obviously, it would would be only the cleverest, most adaptable slaves who would be able to impress their master as potential straw bosses, mistresses, manservants, etc., etc. Your more dim-witted, confused Saxon captive or whatever would just dully plod on to whatever fate awaited him in Andalus or wherever.

And finally, of course, one can look at them. Jews obviously come overwhelmingly from the native stock of the lands in which they were found in modern times. A Yemeni Jew, above all, looks like a Yemeni gentile, etc.

It is possible to detect a tension in Jewish life between adapting so much to the world around that they become part of it and thereby lose any sense of Jewishness, and going in the other direction. There has been some discussion of Yiddish – the only Jews I have heard speaking the language are Haredim, and my guess is that they are cut off enough from Gentiles in their daily life to keep the language alive. Otherwise it would be English all the way, and Hebrew for the occasional religious service. Sufficient contact with non-Jews means Jewish languages like Yiddish or Ladino gradually disappear. And even then it is not always clear how different these were to begin with – early Yiddish was really just a form of German, Ladino is just old-fashioned Spanish to all intents and purposes etc.

It was approved by the SOE and a British aircraft flew over the Protectorate so the key operatives could parachute down. Without British cooperation it would never have got off the ground.
It would seem they got Heydrich just in time as he was due to meet Hitler later that day and he was likely to be transferred elsewhere, possibly France.

Philip Roth discusses that. He suggests that Jews even want anti-semitism, so they can go back to that nice, safe, communal shetl. It’s certainly noticeable that in the interval 1920-1967, Jews were definitely tending towards ‘we’re Americans only we don’t go to Church on Sunday,’ whereas since then there’s been an increasing emphasis on the Holocaust and Israel. It’s also noticeable that it’s the least of the Jews who become the biggest Israel-lovers ever: Jason Pollard and that creature who edits the Atlantic come to mind. Those Jews who lack an adequate identity otherwise retreat into Jewishness, and these days, Jewishness has largely been reduced to loving Israel the bestest.

As to Yiddish, it’s so close to German that I’ve read that in the First World War, Jews did quite well out of the German advances in the East, as they were able to communicate with the new rulers, and so take up the role of privileged middlemen once again. Presumably, it was the Jew who could negotiate grain quotas, arrange for deliveries, etc.

I’ve wondered if this led to the Jewish masses in the East being more willing to ‘wait and see’ in the Second World War. After all, they may have assumed that after a bit of blood and thunder, the Germans would settle down and realize they needed intermediaries again — and, prior to Barbarossa, the Germans hadn’t engaged in any actual genocide.

German postcard dating from WW1 – “The Interpreter”. Germans with Russian POWs and a field kitchen. The somewhat subservient Russian POW talking to the German officer in the foreground is probably meant to be a Jew. It seems to have been assumed by both German and Austro-Hungarian forces that a Russian POW who spoke German was likely to be a Jew, although educated Russian Gentiles might also speak the language well.
They may well have thought the WW2 Germans would be like the ones in WW1, with a few extra kicks and slaps.
Primo Levi in Auschwitz noted that Sephardic Jews from Greece spoke no German or Yiddish and were seriously disadvantaged in dealings with the SS or German-speaking Kapos, compared to Ashkenazim.
