The War of Economic Corridors has entered incandescent, uncharted territory: Pipeline Terror.

A sophisticated military operation – that required exhaustive planning, possibly involving several actors – blew up four separate sections of the Nord Stream (NS) and Nord Stream 2 (NS2) gas pipelines this week in the shallow waters of the Danish straits, in the Baltic Sea, near the island of Bornholm.

Swedish seismologists estimated that the power of the explosions may have reached the equivalent of up to 700 kg of TNT. Both NS and NS2, near the strong currents around Borholm, are placed at the bottom of the sea at a depth of 60 meters.

The pipes are built with steel reinforced concrete, able to withstand impact from aircraft carrier anchors, and are basically indestructible without serious explosive charges. The operation – causing two leaks near Sweden and two near Denmark – would have to be carried out by modified underwater drones.

Every crime implies motive. The Russian government wanted – at least up to the sabotage – to sell oil and natural gas to the EU. The notion that Russian intel would destroy Gazprom pipelines is beyond ludicrous. All they had to do was to turn off the valves. NS2 was not even operational, based on a political decision from Berlin. The gas flow in NS was hampered by western sanctions. Moreover, such an act would imply Moscow losing key strategic leverage over the EU.

Diplomatic sources confirm that Berlin and Moscow were involved in a secret negotiation to solve both the NS and NS2 issues. So they had to be stopped – no holds barred. Geopolitically, the entity that had the motive to halt a deal holds anathema a possible alliance in the horizon between Germany, Russia, and China.

Whodunnit?

The possibility of an “impartial” investigation of such a monumental act of sabotage – coordinated by NATO, no less – is negligible. Fragments of the explosives/underwater drones used for the operation will certainly be found, but the evidence may be tampered with. Atlanticist fingers are already blaming Russia. That leaves us with plausible working hypotheses.

This hypothesis is eminently sound and looks to be based on information from Russian intelligence sources. Of course, Moscow already has a pretty good idea of what happened (satellites and electronic monitoring working 24/7), but they won’t make it public.

The hypothesis focuses on the Polish Navy and Special Forces as the physical perpetrators (quite plausible; the report offers very good internal details), American planning and technical support (extra plausible), and aid by the Danish and Swedish militaries (inevitable, considering this was very close to their territorial waters, even if it took place in international waters).

The hypothesis perfectly ties in with a conversation with a top German intelligence source, who told The Cradle that the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND or German intelligence) was “furious” because “they were not in the loop.”

Of course not. If the hypothesis is correct, this was a glaringly anti-German operation, carrying the potential of metastasizing into an intra-NATO war.

The much-quoted NATO Article 5 – ‘an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us’ – obviously does not say anything about a NATO-on-NATO attack. After the pipeline punctures, NATO issued a meek statement “believing” what happened was sabotage and will “respond” to any deliberate attack on its critical infrastructure. NS and NS2, incidentally, are not part of NATO’s infrastructure.

The whole operation had to be approved by Americans, and deployed under their Divide and Rule trademark. “Americans” in this case means the Neo-conservatives and Neo-liberals running the government machinery in Washington, behind the senile teleprompter reader.

This is a declaration of war against Germany and against businesses and citizens of the EU – not against the Kafkaesque Eurocrat machine in Brussels. Don’t be mistaken: NATO runs Brussels, not European Commission (EC) head and rabid Russophobe Ursula von der Leyen, who’s just a lowly handmaiden for finance capitalism.

It’s no wonder the Germans are absolutely mum; no one from the German government, so far, has said anything substantial.

The Polish corridor

By now, assorted chattering classes are aware of former Polish Defense Minister and current MEP Radek Sirkorski’s tweet: “Thank you, USA.” But why would puny Poland be on the forefront? There’s atavic Russophobia, a number of very convoluted internal political reasons, but most of all, a concerted plan to attack Germany built on pent up resentment – including new demands for WWII reparations.

The Poles, moreover, are terrified that with Russia’s partial mobilization, and the new phase of the Special Military Operation (SMO) – soon to be transformed into a Counter-Terrorism Operation (CTO) – the Ukrainian battlefield will move westward. Ukrainian electric light and heating will most certainly be smashed. Millions of new refugees in western Ukraine will attempt to cross to Poland.

At the same time there’s a sense of “victory” represented by the partial opening of the Baltic Pipe in northwest Poland – almost simultaneously with the sabotage.

Talk about timing. Baltic Pipe will carry gas from Norway to Poland via Denmark. The maximum capacity is only 10 billion cubic meters, which happens to be ten times less than the volume supplied by NS and NS2. So Baltic Pipe may be enough for Poland, but carries no value for other EU customers.

Meanwhile, the fog of war gets thicker by the minute. It has already been documented that US helicopters were overflying the sabotage nodes only a few days ago; that a UK “research” vessel was loitering in Danish waters since mid-September; that NATO tweeted about the testing of “new unmanned systems at sea” on the same day of the sabotage. Not to mention that Der Spiegel published a startling report headlined “CIA warned German government against attacks on Baltic Sea pipelines,” possibly a clever play for plausible deniability.

ORDER IT NOW

The Russian Foreign Ministry was sharp as a razor: “The incident took place in an area controlled by American intelligence.” The White House was forced to “clarify” that President Joe Biden – in a February video that has gone viral – did not promise to destroy NS2; he promised to “not allow” it to work. The US State Department declared that the idea the US was involved is “preposterous.”

It was up to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov to offer a good dose of reality: the damage to the pipelines posed a “big problem” for Russia, essentially losing its gas supply routes to Europe. Both NS2 lines had been pumped full of gas and – crucially – were prepared to deliver it to Europe; this is Peskov cryptically admitting negotiations with Germany were ongoing.

Peskov added, “this gas is very expensive and now it is all going up in the air.” He stressed again that neither Russia nor Europe had anything to gain from the sabotage, especially Germany. This Friday, there will be a special UN Security Council session on the sabotage, called by Russia.

The attack of the Straussians

Now for the Big Picture. Pipeline Terror is part of a Straussian offensive, taking the splitting up of Russia and Germany to the ultimate level (as they see it). Leo Strauss and the Conservative Movement in America: A Critical Appraisal, by Paul E. Gottfried (Cambridge University Press, 2011) is required reading to understand this phenomenon.

Leo Strauss, the German-Jewish philosopher who taught at the University of Chicago, is at the root of what later, in a very twisted way, became the Wolfowitz Doctrine, written in 1992 as the Defense Planning Guidance, which defined “America’s mission in the post-Cold War era.”

The Wolfowitz Doctrine goes straight to the point: any potential competitor to US hegemony, especially “advanced industrial nations” such as Germany and Japan, must be smashed. Europe should never exercise sovereignty: “We must be careful to prevent the emergence of a purely European security system that would undermine NATO, and particularly its integrated military command structure.”

Fast-forward to the Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act, adopted only five months ago. It establishes that Kiev has a free lunch when it comes to all arms control mechanisms. All these expensive weapons are leased by the US to the EU to be sent to Ukraine. The problem is that whatever happens in the battlefield, in the end, it is the EU that will have to pay the bills.

US Secretary of State Blinken and his underling, Victoria “F**k the EU” Nuland, are Straussians, now totally unleashed, having taken advantage of the black void in the White House. As it stands, there are at least three different “silos” of power in a fractured Washington. For all Straussians, a tight bipartisan op, uniting several high-profile usual suspects, destroying Germany is paramount.

One serious working hypothesis places them behind the orders to conduct Pipeline Terror. The Pentagon forcefully denied any involvement in the sabotage. There are secret back channels between Russia’s Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev and US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

And dissident Beltway sources swear that the CIA is also not part of this game; Langley’s agenda would be to force the Straussians to back off on Russia reincorporating Novorossiya and allow Poland and Hungary to gobble up whatever they want in Western Ukraine before the entire US government falls into a black void.

Come see me in the Citadel

On the Grand Chessboard, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan two weeks ago dictated the framework of the multipolar world ahead. Couple it with the independence referendums in DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye, which Russian President Vladimir Putin will formally incorporate into Russia, possibly as early as Friday.

With the window of opportunity closing fast for a Kiev breakthrough before the first stirrings of a cold winter, and Russia’s partial mobilization soon to enter the revamped SMO and add to generalized western panic, Pipeline Terror at least would carry the “merit” of solidifying a Straussian tactical victory: Germany and Russia fatally separated.

Yet blowback will be inevitable – in unexpected ways – even as Europe becomes increasingly Ukrainized and even Polandized: an intrinsically neo-fascist, unabashed puppet of the US as predator, not partner. Vey few across the EU are not brainwashed enough to understand how Europe is being set up for the ultimate fall.

The war, by those Straussians ensconced in the Deep State – neocons and neoliberals alike – won’t relent. It is a war against Russia, China, Germany and assorted Eurasian powers. Germany has just been felled. China is currently observing, carefully. And Russia – nuclear and hypersonic – won’t be bullied.

Poetry grandmaster C.P. Cavafy, in Waiting for the Barbarians, wrote “And now what will become of us, without any barbarians? Those people were some kind of a solution.” The barbarians are not at the gates, not anymore. They are inside their golden Citadel.

This is an act of unbelievable filthy terror against Germany caused by a NATO family internal squabbles. A black sheep of the family must be punished and his toy of mischief must be destroy…a sinister godfather of the family long contemplated the punishment. Now the perpetrator is shamelessly acting like a child caught with a jam soiled face screaming Russia did it.

No one but a moron believes the US did not do this. The question is what comes next? What will Russia do? According to many essays from Paul Craig Roberts … nothing, which to his mind simply encourages the West to go further, until we reach the point of what? A nuclear attack on Russia, ending in Armageddon? I can’t really understand the insanity of the ‘neocon’ oligarchs … they will die too, or at best all their wealth will do them no good in a World of floating radioactive ash.

  6. What should tell you the most about this incident is the relative silence of all parties. If this truly was an act of (self-)sabotage by Russia, then Washington would be denouncing it and making threats like there’s no tomorrow. Russia doesn’t seem too ready to touch it much either, because it is not nearly as impactful on them as it is Germany.

So Baltic Pipe may be enough for Poland, but carries no value for other EU customers.

I believe Mr. Escobar has it about right – Poland did it with LOTS of help. The motives of the US are obvious – to safeguard the US Empire, to sell its overpriced weapons and super-expensive energy, and to render it impossible for Germany to kiss and make up. Which the Germans were probably trying to do.

What’s in it for Poland? Historical hatred for both Germany and Russia, of course, but would you believe there is a wiki for “Polish Golden Age”? Help the US destroy Germany and its industrial base, and that clears the way for a revival of Greater Poland.

Who else might gain? Think about how Ukraine is some relatively underpopulated prime real estate. Denmark is a very low country, and as climate change raises sea levels, Ukraine might be a refuge. That’s even more true for the Netherlands, which is already in bad shape in terms of rising ocean water levels.

Now out in left field is another contender. Recall how Joe “I Am A Zionist” Biden has stuffed his administration with rabid Zionists. Now why would the Apartheid state be interested? (besides clearing the way for an invasion of Syria.) First, there is some history involved.

Once upon a time Jewish missionaries struck gold when they converted some foks in the Crimea region and points north. When this state was conquered (by the Mongols?) the story goes that all the Kazars disappeared and European Jews suddenly turned up in large numbers. Be that as it may, the modern pissant state has plenty of problems. Iran has turned into a formidable opponent, and water is getting harder and harder to find. So put on your tinfoil hat and read this:

“Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki asks: ‘Is this the Europe we want? … That Eurocrats in Brussels dictate what the government should be?’

“Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki labeled as “scandalous” comments by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen that the EU has “the tools” to deal with a member state if things “go in a difficult direction.

At a conference at Princeton University on Thursday, von der Leyen was asked about the candidates in Sunday’s legislative elections in Italy, but she included Poland and Hungary in her response.

“If things go in a difficult direction — and I’ve spoken about Hungary and Poland — we have the tools,” von der Leyen said, in a clear reference to the Commission’s ability to cut funds allocated to EU governments when they are deemed to be violating the rule of law.

“Von der Leyen’s statement was scandalous,” Morawiecki said in the Polish town of Świdnik on Saturday, the state-run news agency PAP reported. “She said Brussels had the tools to discipline Italy if it created a government that would not be in favor of Brussels,” he was quoted as saying.”’

Well, guess what, folks? That “entity” is the US Financial Hegemon that includes the US/EU/UK Central Banks and Western multi-billionaires who intend to destroy German Industry along with it’s massive trading with Russia, China and many other nations. That goal has now spread throughout the EU to other nations that used to make manufacturing parts for Germany.

Why this huge pivot? Because the casino-gambling that took off after the 2008 “Financial Crash” saw astronomical profits made from stock and bonds by US/UK/EU Financial Aristocrats. But now this has finally come home to roost leaving the entire Western Financial System wobble. This is Why in 2019, right before the onset of Covid, FED Chair Powell, Mark Carney, Larry Fink Black Rock sat down to start “righting the listless ship?

Add to the Western Financial House woes we see Russia, China, India, Others fleeing from the brutal US $$ system as fast as they can by using their OWN currencies in their exchanges.

It’s very, very unfortunate, that we have no journalist, or economist who can explain in simple terms this very pressing issue. Yet, if we understood the Financial Difficulties of the US/UK/EU aristocrats, we would understand WHY the US is purposely targeting Russia, and has now destroyed all gas/energy between Russia to Germany.

Instead, people comment on military strategy by X or Z, or talk about the Gold Market. Or they write about the past in said nation, before the US Financial Hegemon gained world dominance. Time to catch up with the real hardcore issue here.

The neo-cons are mostly Jews, Zionazi Jews, many former Trots and many acolytes of the sinister Judaic supremacist, Leo Strauss. The combination of the xenophobic Judaic hatred of the goyim, the millennia of suffering befalling the Jews and inflicted by them on others, the millennia of cultic brainwashing, isolation and endogamy imposed by the rabbis, the rise of Judaic ethno-nationalism in the form of Zionazism, the consequent colonial atrocities in Palestine, the justified revulsion of most of the world at that obscenity, and the Nazi Judeocide, have produced in some powerful Jews a nihilistic desire to rain destruction down upon the entire ‘Jew-hating world’, as their paranoid fantasies describe humanity.
The Masada Complex and the Samson Option are real. The Zionazis HAVE promised to ‘take the world down with us’, if threatened by another ‘Holocaust’, and when you hate and fear ALL non-Jewish humanity, as the worst of the Jews definitely do, and you have nukes and bio-weapons, another ‘Holocaust’ is certain, and, in a way, desired, and the outcome is certain.

Another Pepe-ganda — don’t you even try to be credible anymore?

You miss two obvious points – on purpose perhaps or just blinded by your loyalties:

    1. Russia faced severe penalties for failing to meet its contractual obligations to deliver gas,
destroying the pipeline solves this for them: after they lose the war and are negotiating
for economic mercy afterward they can whine: “Force Majeure! Not our fault!”

    2. You make a big deal about how it could not be done without detection by the many observers
in the area, yet (very conveniently), blind yourself to the ONE way to do it without any issues of
    detection at all:
The very best way to blow it up without being detected is to send explosives down the pipe.

Just as the fact that Jews controlled the access to set the explosives that brought down the
twin towers makes them the prime (actually the only suspects), the fact that Russia controls
the access to send “pigs” down the pipeline with explosives makes Russia the prime suspect.

Ukraine and Soviet Belarus. To this, it seems, Polish Polesie region owes that in recent times
there was much interest on the part of the Jewish people in draining it ”

“In the opinion of the English writer Wickhem Steed (as also quoted by the Jewish magazine Haïnt), after the end of the war the Jews were everywhere – whether in N. York, or in Paris, or in London, or in Buenos Aires – the very ones who came out of their skins to fight to Germany’s advantage” .
A few years later they started to work with the second method, i.e. to possess also a territorially separate state. The promoter was the great association Agro-Joint, which owned the title of ownership of the land, designated for Jewish agricultural settlements in Crimea, in parts of Ukraine and Belarus (the settlers are only permanent tenants). This institution put forward ,in November, 1927, in Chicago, with the postulate of the Jewish colonisation of Polish Polesie right next to the Jewish settlements on the Bolshevik side- officially and “absolutely
decisively” presented it to the Polish ambassador in America in December 1930

  37. No repair work is taking place on Nordstream pipelines 1 and 2. These would have to be commissioned and paid for by Russia, because Russia owns the pipelines. And the EU would have to lift its sanctions against Russia for the work to be carried out. This is not expected in the foreseeable future.

The window of opportunity for a possible repair closes as early as October. This is because the pipes are currently running full of salt water. Without immediate intervention, this salt water will cause corrosion of the tubes, which are only protected against its effects on the outside, but not on the inside. This information is also available to the German government, which has apparently written off the entire Nordstream project. The German economy will lose billions in value with the demise of Nordstream.

The “Bild” newspaper summarizes the Western dilemma in a quote from an alleged “Russia expert” as follows: “The issue is not technical, but political-legal. In order to repair it, one has to suspend a number of the sanctions against Russian gas supplies. The vessels that can carry out the construction work must get permission for such work. Gazprom must be able to pay for the repairs. The necessary technological solutions must also be provided.”

These problems will never be overcome in time – that is, in a few weeks. So far, more than half of the natural gas in the pipeline has leaked. It is obvious that the rest will leak as well. And then Nordstream will be history. It just turned into the most expensive fish tunnel ever. The Jewish oppressors of the world will do their utmost not to let it come to a German-Russian fusion of interests, and not to endanger the hegemony of their imperial biotope America.

If out the coming suffering that is awaiting the German population and the damage to the German’s lifeblood, that is their industrial machine, some German rises up to demand German neutrality, then that would be the greatest 21st century miracle. Such a proposal should be put to a national referendum and I have little doubt that the German population would show more spine than their collective political leadership. Glad you mentioned the role of the poles who have proven beyond any doubt to be the most delusional, self destructive people in Europe, starting with making of themselves the trigger of WWII when their Edward Ryder Smigly was self assured that he can reach Berlin within three weeks. The alternative would have been a far less damaging option of giving Germany a corridor within the Polish corridor to give Germany access to severed East Prussia. Had the Poles acceded the reasonable German demand, the British and Americans would have lost the trigger for WWII and Poland would have been spared the humiliation of the German and Soviet occupation.

The so called “geopolitical erudite” George Friedman has already announced in one of his books that the U.S. should always seek to obstruct any rapprochement between Germany and Russia by making use of the “ Polish Monkey”. Russia would have preferred it not to happen, but it’s already selling its gas to the BRICS-SCO world and the US terrorism will merely increase gas prices globally.

So the US damages its German colony to prevent it from breaking away. And the US action benefits Russia by raising global gas prices. Totally consistent with the insane sanctions regime so far. Sounds pretty chaotic, but typical of our Empire of Chaos.

The attraction of the whole BRICS-SCO movement is revulsion against the Western Empire of Wokeism the foundational tenets of which are:

    —Green Masochism

    —Open borders
—And most importantly one-world, unelected Leviathan government along the lines of the EU model.

We know the current German political class is 100% committed to this agenda. Just how committed is the German electorate today and how long will it take for hunger, cold and general poverty to disabuse them of these fantasies?

Interesting observation, though I cannot fathom how destroying the German industrial machine would alleviate the coming crash in Western financial assets. The Way I see it, the only purpose of the current blackmail of Germany by the Anglo Zionist establishment, is simply to bar the Germans from even considering a rapprochement with Russia as such an eventuality would create an economic block to the East that is based on agriculture, manufacturing and natural and human resources that combined with Germany’s potential would simply dwarf the size of the economy of the Anglo Zionist empire, whose economy is nothing more than a financial casino akin to parasitism, which would subsequently lose its hegemonic and imperial potential.

German cooperation with the East will firmly tip the balance in favor of a rising Asia and that explains the desperate and reckless acts of sabotaging the NS1 and NS2.

Secret talks between Russia and Germany to resolve their Nord Stream 1 and 2 issues had to be averted at any cost

What ‘issues’? — what was there to talk about?

Russia has been very clear from the outset: they want to remain a reliable energy partner for Europe (and why not?, they earn tremendous revenue from oil and natural gas, including hard currency) — the only measure they took was to tell countries participating in sanctions against Russia that they would have to begin paying in rubles (a mechanism was setup for this), whereas countries not participating in sanctions could continue to pay as before — it was the West, as part of sanctions, that decided to stop buying Russian oil and gas.

There is some talk in German media that due to geopolitical complications the pipelines (owned by Russia) may never be repaired (a difficult and lengthy job in any case):

    Nordstream-Pipelines werden nicht repariert

An den Nordstream-Pipelines 1 und 2 finden keine Reparaturarbeiten statt. Die müssten von Russland beauftragt und bezahlt werden, denn Russland ist Eigentümer der Pipelines. Und die EU müsste für die Ausführung der Arbeiten ihre Sanktionen gegen Russland aufheben. Damit ist in absehbarer Zeit nicht zu rechnen.

Perhaps we should file the pipeline sabotage under “All bets are off.”

Take note of the location of the attacks and then imagine NS1 and 2 existed as WWII was coming to a close. Thus consider their destruction in the context of the territorial changes in that immediate region of the Baltic Sea. The German losses and Polish gains.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Territorial_changes_of_Poland_immediately_after_World_War_II

Who would you have thunk had done this dirty deed?

Here’s the thing, if Poland is going to reclaim its territories lost in the East, and that’s where this is heading, it needs to weaken Germany’s claims for a similar do-over concerning over that which it was forced to cede to Poland at the end of WWII. Thus Poland’s current reparations shouting.

The months back whoop-de-do over Kaliningrad is of a piece. It used to be the German Konigsberg but its population is now thoroughly Russian so it won’t be holding any referendums any time to rejoin Germany. Besides, Germany has much bigger fish it has been trying to fry with Russia since the Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact collapsed.

Say what you will about the Russians, they’re really good at strategy and possess the will to patiently let the cards play out.

When I belabored in my previous comments that Russia would achieve its SMO objectives in the Ukraine the implication was that upon it doing so all bets were off when it came to the borders of the post-WWII imposed settlement.

So the question is whether this monumentally dangerous attack on civilian infrastructure kicks off WWIII (actually, WWIV with the GWOT claiming the III title, if we’re picking nits) or indisputable proof that we’re entering the next phase — a landlocked, rump Ukraine continuing to exist long enough for the cross-dressing drug addict headliner to turn over the keys to Poland.

All of the relevant powers, save Germany and Russia, had good cause to sabotage NS1 and 2, or at least welcome it. The US and Poland most especially, but also Denmark, Sweden, and everyone else who isn’t keen on Germany and Russia playing well together.

The funny thing is that you know that the Kiev regime is down for the count when it is getting blamed/credited with carrying out this op since, per the above, it’s the existential loser.

Russia wanted to sell its gas to Germany and Germany wanted to buy it.
USA wants to sell LNG (shale gas).
Hence the constant opposition of the US to the construction of NS2 with even attempts at sabotage – already – and then the prohibition of the US to Germany to open it.

NS1 remained: US blocked it by forbidding to supply spare parts to Germany.

And now the sabotage of both, NS1 and NS2.

The idea is to force Germany to buy US shale gas, liquefied and transported by ship, having the whole Atlantic Ocean to cross, and
gas again. LNG ships then have to cross the Atlantic again empty.

If Germany decided to lift the sanctions, it could buy Russian natural gas again, cheaper than US shale gas, also liquefied, with a huge difference: the journey across the Baltic Sea is only 570 mi.

The SVR has already shown it’s reach by destroying the Texas LNG Freeport, so it’s not inconceivable that a retaliation is coming during winter as payback – Secondly, in the larger scheme of things, the NS pipelines are small change especially considering the fact that the gas committed to Germany has already been sold elsewhere to Asia – So it’s kind of disingenuous on the part of Russia to claim that it would have turned on the pipes at a moment’s notice because there’s no gas to spare – The only thing that has happened from my point of view is that Russia lured the USA into an elaborate trap that has now forced it to reveal its hand in the sabotage which will be something that the Europeans won’t take easily – Maybe this is a better way to break up NATO from the inside than to wage war from the outside with no guarantee of success

Natural gas and oil prices are a strong driver of inflation.

Before the war the US was already in a move away from natural gas. There simply isn’t enough domestically and prices keep increasing.

The most likely scenario is that Russia sabotaged the pipeline in an effort to pressure Western Germany. Putin wants to freeze the West in order to get them to negotiate Donbass and end the sanctions.

Sabotaging a pipeline isn’t hard and in fact a common argument of why they shouldn’t be built.

Poland could have been involved but the country more likely involved than any other is the USA and the USA would have had the say to carry it out or not. Germans have just as much reason, if not much more, to hold a historical grudge against Poland, a very large part of which (maybe 50%) is stolen territory where most of the 20 million Germans thrown off their own territory came from, millions dying in the ethnic cleansing.

Pigging can be a slow, big deal to even start to run without permanent features (launchers, receivers) and new types of pigs may get stuck and/or lost, especially on the first try with unfamiliar personnel.

What’s in it for Poland? Historical hatred for both Germany and Russia, of course, but would you believe there is a wiki for “Polish Golden Age”? Help the US destroy Germany and its industrial base, and that clears the way for a revival of Greater Poland.

I am amazed that a country so self-congraduating as Poland (The mass worship of the “Black Madonna”) in adhering to traditional Catholicism, mass belief in the innocent victim status of Poland at the hands of its big bad bully neighbors.

But then, as we see in Israel, the former oppressed slides right into the oppressor, when material gain, greater power prospectus, and revenge for actions that it condemns in others, but now blindly excludes from its consciousness. This is what I notice most profoundly, from my Buddhist perspectives. I see no other-rare these days-expounding on the avowed principles of living and existence, according to professed Faith above materialistic determinism and strictly rational thought.

Hating Russia? Based on what, history recent and distant? What about its existence today? Is it heading in a greater moral direction (I believe it is, while the West generally “Slouched Toward Gomorrah” by Robert Bork.). Like lab animals used for research in various reactions to various stimul, i.e., positive or negative reinforcement, cognitive dissonance, time-space considerations like immediate versus delayed rewards, the West’s leaders with the somnabulistisc nodding of its Boobus Puplicumus, is only concerned with the here-and-now apprehension of the food pellet the drops down in the tray like a coin change.

If the lack of a traffic light at an intersection resulted in above average accidents, but the accidents were blamed on incidental and contingent factors, e.g., bad weather, foliage obstructions, driver incompetence, etc, etc, instead of upstream causes in the Cause-Effect Stream, e.g., government incompetence and sloth, lack of funding due to corruption, or reflexive resistance to changes that derived from specific societal norms, then that would be a more root cause, and of course more meaningful.

People today, in a dumbed down world of falling IQ and intellectual curiosity tend to mistake symptoms and effects for causes. These misreadings usually involve contiguous preceding events.

If I had to guess, as to how this will play out for Ukraine, …. Poland, Hungary, and Romania will go on to take back territory as Nato implodes, pressing on the Kievians from the west. Poland is already positioning for this future move. Russia will continue to press the Kievians (the people backing the Zelensky regime) from the south, and will take more territory there. As such, the Kievians will be surrounded. Since they are crazy all on their own (hyper-ethnocentric), and this craziness is sponsored, as a useful tool, by the crazy faux-west globalists, …. this makes Kiev quite likely as the center of potential for future nuclear conflagration. This might be the wrong question. The answer does little to it.

The real question: What nation, what authoritative figurehead, is man enough to state that all players (individual nations in NATO and EU, the Russian Federation) know who and when this was perpetrated. Again, who is man enough, or are we living war games that exclude the public masses from any interests in well-being. I disagree with almost every evidentiary claim you make. If we can’t agree on the evidence, then there really is no point in arguing or discussing further. But on this passage of your overall comment:

“Putin is a total d-bag that didn’t think this out. He had no backup plan and that is why he is grabbing men off the street. He is desperate and I would think twice about wasting your time trying to defend him.”

On your – ‘Putin has no back-up plan’ claim: You don’t have anything whatsoever, to back-up your claim that Putin is not executing a well thought-out multi-faceted plan.

On your – ‘grabbing men off the street’ claim: To tell you the truth, I am surprised there isn’t more anti-war rhetoric emerging out of Russia, among those that now may be conscripted, given that one cannot really make sense of the overall global geopolitical scene, without noting that the faux-west is controlled by Jewish-led faux-west globalism. The Putin regime is still resisting sponsoring the reality of this piece of the puzzle (the Jew piece). If I were a Russian patriot living in Russia, I might not want to fight for fellow-Russian speakers in the Donbass, in a limited operation, where artillery use is limited, …. because that renders me potential cannon-fodder, …. I get that, ….. but now Putin is promising a much larger Russian response to continued Ukraine aggression in the Donbass and the south, inclusive of heavy artillery bombardment of Uke positions prior to Russian infantry penetration. Despite these concerns among potential conscripts being rendered as potential cann0n-fodder under the past limited operation scenario, the Russian people are still, more-or-less quite supportive of Putin’s aims. But if these same-said Russian pe0ple could get their head around the reality of what the faux-west globalism actually is, …. this faux-west globalism that Putin has defined for his people as the other ‘war party’, …. as something just a little less abstract and more tangible, (that at root, it is a Jew-led movement, this faux-west globalism), well ….., that would probably convert almost the entirety of the Russian populace (that is not Jewish) as supportive of Putin in his endeavor to keep this evil away from Russia’s doorstep (that is, if the people were capable of groking this reality, if it was promoted by the Putin regime, which is very very debatable). The JQ is an extremely deep mindf*ck and so this never gets resolved for the populace, and as well, there is a ton of evidence that, in any event, the general public will never grok the reality and the implications of the Jewish subversion, even if it is spoon-fed to them. So, even for Putin, tactically at this juncture, it is better to leave the Jew-led-part of this faux-west globalism, as unsaid.

On your insinuation that I am hereby trying to defend Putin. How do you reckon that? I am pretty sure I am not defending Putin. Just calling the spade, a spade, is all.

Poland did it? That would be unwise of them. They sail their own course, independent of EU policies, despite being a EU member, but they would like to continue to have EU subsidies, thank you very much. The Poles have stretched Brussels’ patience several times already and stand a good chance of having subsidies blocked or getting sidelined. Those tools will also be applied to Italy. If Germany concludes that the Poles, as fellow EU and NATO member, are responsible for indirectly wrecking German industry, Poland’s days as an EU member are numbered. With them being on their own, what do you think the Russians will do to them for revenge? Poland’s plans for a Visegrad alliance will also be harder to realize after such a caper, as stable relations with Russia was one of the plan’s aims. Yes, hawkish Polish generals wanted a part of Western Ukraine, but only while depending on safety within NATO and without damaging Germany.

Civil and structural engineers design targets.

IOW, CEs and SEs are about building things up, while MEs and EEs are all about destroying what CEs and SEs have built. CEs and SEs are on the side of life. MEs and EEs are on the side of death (at least, those who work in weapons industries are).

Please remember who invented the atomic bomb in the first place, and WHY they invented it: to turn German cities into glass.

Yep. Japan was a consolation prize. The U.S. was aware from ~1943 that Germany had no nuclear weapon program. The “race to build The Bomb” was a race to drop it on German cities before the Wehrmacht surrendered.

In that sense, the Manhattan Project was a failure, and I imagine there was quite a “pity party” among a certain segment of the denizens of Los Alamos when V-E day occurred prior to the Trinity event.

Various kinds of engineers do jobs all the time where the techs have to shoot through steel, concrete, and/or rock, common work since the 1940s with shaped charges, 1.5″ – 6″ diameter. The first 8 – 24 inches are pretty easy, 25″-36″ more demanding depending on steel/rock combo, gun size and shaped charge design. Nordstream is only 1.1″ of steel wall with several inches of concrete overlaid.

On your – ‘Putin has no back-up plan’ claim: You don’t have anything whatsoever, to back-up your claim that Putin is not executing a well thought-out multi-faceted plan.

    1. He sent a 40 mile column of armor and supply trucks at Kiev. Did you forget about that? Or was it part of the plan to lose hundreds of tanks and APCs and have the Russian military completely embarrassed?

    2. Changing the main goal of the war from changing the government in Kiev to taking Donbass.

    3. Recruiting rapists and murderers from prisons after running out of men

    4. Using mobilization after claiming it wouldn’t be needed.

This is not a well thought out plan.

On your – ‘grabbing men off the street’ claim: To tell you the truth, I am surprised there isn’t more anti-war rhetoric emerging out of Russia

How exactly is that rhetoric? Are you going to deny that recruiters were looking for men at their homes and workplaces? Reports in fact from Russians that escaped?

Others said they waited a few days to see what was happening. And one man in his mid-30s said he made a decision to leave when his friends started getting rounded up in the middle of the night.
    https://www.npr.org/2022/09/26/1125054649/after-russia-orders-a-partial-mobilization-young-men-flee-the-country

Despite these concerns among potential conscripts being rendered as potential cann0n-fodder under the past limited operation scenario, the Russian people are still, more-or-less quite supportive of Putin’s aims.

The recruits were literally called cannon fodder on video by a Russian officer:

How do we know that the majority of the Russian people support Putin? Independent media isn’t allowed which means there isn’t open polling.

So, even for Putin, tactically at this juncture, it is better to leave the Jew-led-part of this faux-west globalism, as unsaid.

You believe Putin is fighting the Jews? While he is selling Israel oil and raw diamonds? Is that right? You do realize that Russian Jews in Israel are one of the largest minority groups?

And suicidal for the Empire. Clearly, it is because Russia has won — the accession of the Eastern Ukraine to Russia – is momentous. A huge amount of territory, resources, and skilled, educated people. Putin’s recent speech makes clear that he has written off both the US and its allies in Europe. This is WWIII — but non-nuclear. Oct 4 and the four regions that voted (democratically) to join Russia will BE Russia! So Russia, under its laws, can now deploy the full force of its military might. Currently it is using less than 10%. Mobilization of already trained reserves means an extra 300,000 competent military in short order. In the meantime, the Ukrainians have lost up to 10,000 men with perhaps 40,000 wounded in Kharkov. They tapped reserves to take Krasny Lyman, a small town of (presently) no strategic importance defended by about 500 militia. Took them 3 weeks with 12,000 to 15,000 men, losing tanks, armored vehicles and more than 3000. The defenders of Krasny withdraw — about 3 kilometers the city, to a solid defensive line.

False Jews. the majority of Khazarians are. They have absolutely no valid claim to the lands of Occupied Palestine. They ought to not be setting up a NovoKhazaria on the dead bodies of over a hundred thousand Ukrainian soldiers following orders from a Talmudist president. Rather, they could use just a bit of their often stolen or bilked money to buy a nice chunk of the northwesternmost corner of Western Australia, where practically nobody lives. “Most”, in its simplest form, means more than 50%.

  171. Avianthro says:

Looking at the situation from a forest-viewing, not tree-viewing level:

We, the American sub-elites, the people-sheeple, now work for and depend upon (for our very lives) an international entity, which I like to term the US-centered Western Financialplex (WF, See Hudson for details on that entity’s structure and functioning. See the WEF for a list of its elites.). We give to it, not necessarily knowing what it really is, and we expect to get a fair exchange. It is the brain that guides international behavior. It senses our expectations and knows that we are a potentially much more powerful entity than it is and that it cannot live without us. It feels the pressure to not only keep itself satisfied and growing in power, but also necessarily to keep us, the brain’s body, satisfied. That means it must maintain economic growth. (Ultimately, though not often fairly, the WF’s profitability/growth do “trickle down” to the sub-elites via our hybrid socialistic-capitalistic economy’s mechanics.)

Since the last decade or so, things are tightening-up for the WF in the EU arena, one of its most critical sources of power, economic power that is, energy and material throughput rate. The Russians have been increasing their share of fossil energy exports to the EU and the Chinese have already displaced the USA as an exporter of a wide variety of goods to the EU. The WF’s power position in the EU has been threatened. Reactions are underway, using any and all means necessary and available…diplomatic trickery and military might.

Additionally, the WF has another project-desirement that it’s been pursuing for a decade or so…the return of Russia to a Yeltsin-period-like state enabling it to exploit-neo-colonize Russia again…satisfying its drive for increasing its power, for growth. This, of course, is the motive for baiting the Bear into a proxy war.

In sum, the WF is under threat of a power drop as a new center of power has now developed, the China-Russia-led FP, and is also desirous of increasing its power by getting Putin out of the way. The WF is a threatened beast with gargantuan power. It will not quietly accept the emergence of a rival, and it will do all it can to increase its power by removing obstacles in its way.

Understanding all of this, what are we sheeple going to do? How many of us in the West are going to happily accept a drop in our own economic power, are going to call-off the WF’s attack against the very real threat it faces? Only a very small minority, people that probably feel as if they’re already not getting a fair shake from the WF system, and people who may have to make a direct sacrifice of a loved one to the WF war machine. Besides, most of the sub-elites are only fed propaganda from the WF, and are therefore not going to understand all of this, are not going to care about the totally Machiavellian, amoral nature of what their governments are doing. How many political leaders on both sides, puppets owned by their respective FPs? How many elites and their sub-elites in the China-Russia FP are going to happily accept a drop in their economic power?

So, yes, it’s interesting-fascinating to watch the battle play out, and to commentate upon it, but we are not going to stop it, unless (impossibly) we ourselves also stop behaving as we must behave, as life-forms ever-seeking more power as long as our technology and conditions will allow it…We cannot stop behaving as we must, as we are programmed by our evolution. The only hope is that this situation does not develop into a nuclear conflict which would destroy us all. If it does not, then we can look forward perhaps to a future such as Putin and Xi now say they envision, a multi-polar world with a relatively peaceful balance, a new Cold War, of power between two axes. It also may be that as we are forced, by the physical reality of our limited earth, to make the transition from our current earth-resource-unsustainable economy to one that is sustainable, we will find ourselves in less competition for earth resources…no more limited supplies of certain fossil and ore deposits (but instead renewable energy and closed-loop resource use)…We will see clearly that there are limits on growth and that it’s futile to try taking more and more? We will be more driven to seek stasis and fairness too? (Rather like the native American tribes pre-European invasion or like Tikopians) For now however, we are in a period of double transition…toward bi-polarity and toward earth-resource-sustainable economics while still strongly dependent on unsustainable, and that makes this a very dangerous, turbulent time indeed…no telling how it will all turn out, such an extremely complex, and open, system…whether we humans will destroy ourselves or be forced back to a not-so-modern way of life.

A terrorist could do it with a charge lowered from the surface. Based on the info provided, I don’t even think it would have to be a shaped charge. The minimum technology needed is pretty primitive. We’re talking about blowing a hole in a pipe here.

You want to say, the evidence points to a state actor and a highly technical operation. Probably, that’s what it was. But you don’t have the evidence. Not yet.

Another thing to keep in mind is that small boats made of fiberglass are not particularly detectable. No one has reported that they have discovered any major asset in the area. Not that anyone is going to tell us, of course.

Speculation is that the explosives were pre-positioned. That certainly is possible, but if there were not prepositioned explosives involved, you have to start thinking about small boats.

There are inspection pigs that are sent with sensors through pipe lines. They typically do not need a lot of pressure differential to move through the pipeline. Cleaning pigs are relatively tight fitting that scrape the inside diameter of debris, wax, sludge, etc. They need a large pressure differential and a periodic access port to remove accumulated scrapings.

Since the gas pipelines transit cleaned gas, there is never any need for cleaning pigs. Most pipe line inspection is done by gas leak detectors, while underwater pipes will emit bubbles into the surrounding water.

If one reads and analyzes the various reports and investigations by knowledge technical people and analysis by serious people, the vast preponderance of evidence points the American led sabotage, with Poland, Sweden, and Denmark playing synchronized roles.

I agree, more or less. Russia has no dog in this fight as it was an obvious declaration of war against Europe, not against Moscow. All what Russia has to do now is sit, relax, and watch how the Europeans will defend themselves and confront their aggressor from across the Atlantic .

Let’s remember that Russia has mingled for ages, and specially during the last century, with people from all continents who in one or other occasion have had to fiercely fight for their country, their freedom, their independence, the most notable examples being those of Vietnam during the 60s and Cuba during the missile crisis of 1962 when Cubans obeyed as one the call to arms from their leaders face to a very probable Yankee invasion, all that while having hovering over their heads the very certain possibility of a tempest of radioactive fire. Yet they had the courage and the fortitude to face the situation. It is now for Europeans to show of what mettle they are made. After so much babble it is now their turn to show their fighting spiritic and their mettle, their yearning for their own freedom and self-determination. It is they who have now the task of earning Ivan’s respect, not the opposite, something they didn’t exactly do during WW2.. Now, if they meekly lower their heads and surrender to the aggressor; even worse, if they keep parroting his line of Russian being the one behind the pipeline explosion, then Ivan will be finally free to send them all to Hell and say with a big sight of relief: Good riddance…! The free Russian ride will be finally over for them. Because, anyway, who would want to be friends, let alone allies, with such a bunch of shameless cowards….?

I heard theory that this event is also beneficial for corrupted Germans polititians and banks.

German politicians can now openly say to citizens that they cannot take gas from Russia but must take it from somewhere else (which satisfied German’s lord -USA).

Germany cannot longer import gas from Russia so they must loan 200 bilions from banks to buy gas from USA.

Of course part of this 200 bilions will go into corrupted polititian pockets (bribes).

German Greens have real time example that gas is danger for German economy and better invest in green sources of energy to achieve energy independency.

Everybody happy: money will flow to corrupted German polititians, banks, Greens and USA.

The reality is that Putin needs all the help it can get to raise troops considering the abysmal performance of the Russian war criminals in the illegal invasion of Ukraine. Russia can continue exporting gas to the EU through a lot of other pipelines so thinking the lack of NS jeopardizing gas exports is imbecilic.

The Chinese are smart and disciplined. They will not condemn Russia but they will not give it military aid either. They will just suck up the cheap oil and wait for the inevitable collapse.

As for India, you must not know any real Indians. I suggest you talk to young, well educated Indians and ask if they would ever be interested in emigration to Russia

It is not Russia that is on the hook; Germany is: Germany is contractually required to purchase more than 40 billion cubic meters of Russian gas a year until 2030. Germany can’t legally say no because Gazprom is legally entitled to get paid even without providing the gas. That’s based on a long-term contract. It’s currently happening: due to sanctions, Berlin does not get all the gas it wants but still has to pay. Of course, this contract will probably be ignored by Germany with the approval of the US and EU.

  207. In my opinion the whole Nordstream affair should be approached from a purely practical & legalistic angle. What is the situation? There are huge leaks in the Nordstream 1&2 pipelines that are emitting an enormous amount of Methane. This is enormously problematic as an environmental issue, not only is there a serious threat to the sea-life in the Baltic sea, Methane also is a potent greenhouse gaz and thus negatively affecting the climate. That alone should be reason enough for immediatly taking action, regardless of sanctions. The pipeline is just 60 meters below the surface, technically there should be no big problem for a repair team to go down there, cut the blown up pieces away and put some kind of cap over the open ends of the tube. Just for the aforementioned dammage to the environment, differences must be put aside for the moment and instead Denmark and Sweden should do everything possible to set up a collaboration with Russia, Germany and any involved party, with the sole purpose of to immediatly fixing the acute problem.
The other aspect is legal/financial in nature. Some actor inflicted great dammage to property owned by Russia. It should seek compensation for the cost of fixing things Support must come from the German government and equally from the Swiss government as Nordstream is a company that isregistered in Switzerland, where also its headquarter is situated..In short, the whole affair should be handled as what it is, a terrorist attack, and a criminal/forensic investigation has to take place to determine the culprit in order to hold him accountable for the dammage. Anyone that is standing in the way preventing immediate action to be taken to minimise the dammage to the pipeline must equally be made accountable forany future los occuring through the lack of immediate action at the site of the leakage.
That is how grownups would handle the problem.
And let’s keep in mind, that the very same governments that are not lifting as much as a finger to prevent or minimize a substantial amount of greenhouse gases being blown needlessly in the atmosphere are debating plans on how to restrict their citizens ability to travel freely with the argument of how important it is to bring down the emission of greenhouse gases to fight climate change!

A feature right here on Unz is reporting that the Swedes are considering, if not advocating, the same idea I was talking about. They call it a remote controlled explosive. No proof yet, but if they consider the idea plausible, then it is plausible. In this kind of operation, why use a big boat when a small one will do. That’s my argument.

With this idea openly on the table, I don’t think it is useful for private individuals to continue debating whether the idea of a bomb lowered on a cable would be a plausible way of carrying out this operation. What is left to debate is only how much explosive would be need to accomplish the deed. I am on the side of less, but expert opinion is needed.

Knowing how it was done never settle the issue of who did it. The more primitive the means, the more players have to be put on the list of who might be responsible.

Then there is another possibility. Maybe there were prepositioned explosives. In that case, maybe these could have been detonated by hackers. Not very likely, but the idea has to be on the table.

Not matter what explanation eventually is forthcoming, there always will be people who do not believe it. Rightly so. There always are things the government does not want known, and that makes any and every official explanation subject to doubt.

What is left to debate is only how much explosive would be need to accomplish the deed. I am on the side of less, but expert opinion is needed.

What might be necessary to punch a hole in a pipe, and what was actually used to do the job, are not necessarily the same thing. The seismologists who detected the multiple 2+ Richter scale tremors have already come out with their estimates of 500kg TNT equivalent per detonation – and there were four of them.

Then there is another possibility. Maybe there were prepositioned explosives.

That theory is quite plausible, given the publicly broadcast notice provided by Biden & etc of American intent and capability to sabotage the pipelines, many months in advance of the event. The Health Ranger, Mike Adams, at ( https://naturalnews.com/ ) favors that assessment.

Meanwhile, President Putin has specifically stated that it was the Anglo-Saxons whodunnit (and one might suppose he has access to highly priveleged info) – while the Western governments have so far been uncharacteristically circumspect about who is responsible.

One can draw one’s own conclusions. For my own part, it seems that neither the Russians nor the Germans had any conceivable motivation to conduct such an operation. Idealogical stooges of the Empire, meanwhile, and those of the even more dangerous psycopathic Globalists, are entrenched far and wide throughout the world, and both of those cabals can certainly be argued to have had both the means and motivation to whack the pipelines, with subjugation of Europe and a wider war being the ultimate aims.

One thought is that a small breach in the pipeline would produce a blowout due to the pressure the gas was under. For another thing, if the explosive used had an excess of oxidizer, that could react with the natural gas to enhance the explosion.

The problem is, in forensics, the absence of evidence in favor of one thing does not prove the other, for which there also is an absence of evidence.

Right now, there is no proof of what quantity of explosives were used or how they got there. There even could have an accidental detonation of prepositioned explosives. If there was, we still would not know who was responsible. Somebody could have been testing the connection, and how would we ever know who?

I was curious about what he had to say in this speech, and was receptive of a good portion of it – until he started parroting the same kind of bile and white guilt tripping garbage that we have been hearing out of the mouths of these self-hating, self-loathing, white guilt ridden American liberals. I am speaking specifically about the tirade he launched into with regards to the founding and settling of America.

Anyone with more than a handful of functioning brain cells in their head and even a modest education in the area of World History will understand that throughout world history – there has been never ending struggles between different races and/or different tribes or species of both human and animals for the resources that are deemed critical for the survival of each species. Resources such as territory, water, food, etc. Competition for these resources has always been brutal and in each case, the stronger has usually prevailed over the weaker.

In fact, World history can be boiled down to the simple fact that there have been Winners and there have been Losers. Such was the case when Europeans came to North America and found themselves in a struggle with these many primitive tribes of Indians, who by the way, were waging savage wars against each other in their own competition for resources like territory, water, food, etc. And, in these battles between primitive Indian tribes – there were Winners and there were Losers. Does anyone think that Putin has ever bothered to study the history of the Comanche’s and seen the vast amount of North American territory that the Comanche’s once controlled and which they ruled over? At the expense of many smaller and weaker tribes of Indians who were not Comanche’s? And, if Putin bothered to look into that topic – would he be shoveling manure on the Comanche’s because the superior strength of their tribe allowed them to defeat and dominate the weaker tribes of Indians? I suspect not. Putin has bought into the anti-White narrative.

The simple facts of history show that White Europeans arrived on this continent, and when challenged by these primitive tribes of Indians they were drawn into battles over the resources needed for their survival. Land, water, and food. And, these battles lasted for nearly 400 years – but, in the end, due to the superior intelligence, superior weaponry and superior technology – Whites fought and finally defeated their competitors and laid claim to North America according to principle of the right of conquest.

And, let me remind Mr. Putin and all of these other sickening and disgusting White guilt ridden cucks who have bought into this ‘anti-White’ narrative – this ‘Right of Conquest’ is NOT a concept that has a footnote attached to it that says Whites and only Whites are not permitted to achieve victories against their competitors and then be proud of those victories.

This anti-White narrative tries to imply that Whites who do battle with their competitors and come out on top – should somehow feel ASHAMED of being winners? I’ve had considerable respect for Vladimir Putin over the years, but if this is the kind of racially suicidal insanity he thinks is credible to push, then the man deserves no respect whatsoever.

A guy who thinks like this would go to Las Vegas and wager his life’s savings on a roulette wheel and claim he was pissed off if he won.
