It took 18 years after Shock and Awe unleashed on Iraq for the Hegemon to be mercilessly shocked and awed by a virtually simultaneous, diplomatic Russia-China one-two.

How this is a real game-changing moment cannot be emphasized enough; 21st century geopolitics will never be the same again.

Yet it was the Hegemon who first crossed the diplomatic Rubicon. The handlers behind hologram Joe “I’ll do whatever you want me to do, Nance” Biden had whispered in his earpiece to brand Russian President Vladimir Putin as a soulless “killer” in the middle of a softball interview.

Not even at the height of the Cold War the superpowers resorted to ad hominem attacks. The result of such an astonishing blunder was to regiment virtually the whole Russian population behind Putin – because that was perceived as an attack against the Russian state.

Then came Putin’s cool, calm, collected – and quite diplomatic – response, which needs to be carefully pondered. These sharp as a dagger words are arguably the most devastatingly powerful five minutes in the history of post-truth international relations.

In For Leviathan, it’s so cold in Alaska, we forecasted what could take place in the US-China 2+2 summit at a shabby hotel in Anchorage, with cheap bowls of instant noodles thrown in as extra bonus.

China’s millennial diplomatic protocol establishes that discussions start around common ground – which are then extolled as being more important than disagreements between negotiating parties. That’s at the heart of the concept of “no loss of face”. Only afterwards the parties discuss their differences.

Yet it was totally predictable that a bunch of amateurish, tactless and clueless Americans would smash those basic diplomatic rules to show “strength” to their home crowd, distilling the proverbial litany on Taiwan, Hong Kong, South China Sea, “genocide” of Uighurs.

Oh dear. There was not a single State Dept. hack with minimal knowledge of East Asia to warn the amateurs you don’t mess with the formidable head of the Foreign Affairs Commission at the CCP’s Central Committee, Yang Jiechi, with impunity.

Visibly startled, but controlling his exasperation, Yang Jiechi struck back. And the rhetorical shots were heard around the whole Global South.

They had to include a basic lesson in manners: “If you want to deal with us properly, let’s have some mutual respect and do things the right way”. But what stood out was a stinging, concise diagnostic blending history and politics:

The United States is not qualified to talk to China in a condescending manner. The Chinese people will not accept that. It must be based on mutual respect to deal with China, and history will prove that those who seek to strangle China will suffer in the end.

And all that translated in real time by young, attractive and ultra-skilled Zhang Jing – who inevitably became an overnight superstar in China, reaping an astonishing 400 million plus hits on Weibo.

The incompetence of the “diplomatic” arm of the Biden-Harris administration beggars belief. Using a basic Sun Tzu maneuver, Yang Jiechi turned the tables and voiced the predominant sentiment of the overwhelming majority of the planet. Stuff your unilateral “rules-based order”. We, the nations of the world, privilege the UN charter and the primacy of international law.

So this is what the Russia-China one-two achieved almost instantaneously: from now on, the Hegemon should be treated, all across the Global South with, at best, disdain.

An inevitable historical process

Pre-Alaska, the Americans went on a charming offensive in Japan and South Korea for “consultations”. That’s irrelevant. What matters is post-Alaska, and the crucial Sergey Lavrov-Wang Yi meeting of Foreign Ministers in Guilin.

Lavrov, always unflappable, clarified in an interview with Chinese media how the Russia-China strategic partnership sees the current US diplomatic train wreck:

As a matter of fact, they have largely lost the skill of classical diplomacy. Diplomacy is about relations between people, the ability to listen to each other, to hear one another and to strike a balance between competing interests. These are exactly the values that Russia and China are promoting in diplomacy.

The inevitable consequence is that Russia-China must “consolidate our independence: “The United States has declared limiting the advance of technology in Russia and China as its goal. So, we must reduce our exposure to sanctions by strengthening our technological independence and switching to settlements in national and international currencies other than the dollar. We need to move away from using Western-controlled international payment systems.”

Russia-China have clearly identified, as Lavrov pointed out, how the “Western partners” are “promoting their ideology-driven agenda aimed at preserving their dominance by holding back progress in other countries. Their policies run counter to the objective international developments and, as they used to say at some point, are on the wrong side of history. The historical process will come into its own, no matter what happens.”

As a stark presentation of an inevitable “historical process”, it doesn’t get more crystal clear than that. And predictably, it didn’t take time for the “Western partners” to fall back into – what else – their same old sanction bag of tricks.

Here we go again: a US, UK, EU, Canada “alliance” sanctioning selected Chinese officials because, in Blinken’s words, “the PRC [People’s Republic of China] continues to commit genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang.”

The EU, UK, and Canada didn’t have the guts to sanction a key player: Xinjiang party chief Chen Quanguo, who’s a Politburo member. The Chinese response would have been – economically – devastating.

Still, Beijing counterpunched with its own sanctions – targeting, crucially, the German far-right evangelical nut posing as “scholar” who produced the bulk of the completely debunked “proof” of a million Uighurs held in concentration camps.

Once again, the “Western partners” are impermeable to logic. Adding to the already appalling state of EU-Russia relations, Brussels chooses to also antagonize China based on a single fake dossier, playing right into the Hegemon’s not exactly secret Divide and Rule agenda.

Mission (nearly) accomplished: Brussels diplomats tell me the EU Parliament is all but set to refuse to ratify the China-EU trade deal painstakingly negotiated by Merkel and Macron. The consequences will be immense.

So Blinken will have reasons to be cheerful when he meets assorted eurocrats and NATO bureaucrats this week, ahead of the NATO summit.

ORDER IT NOW

One has to applaud the gall of the “Western partners”. It’s 18 years since Shock and Awe – the start of the bombing, invasion and destruction of Iraq. It’s 10 years since the start of the total destruction of Libya by NATO and its GCC minions, with Obama-Biden “leading from behind”. It’s 10 years since the start of the savage destruction of Syria by proxy – complete with jihadis disguised as “moderate rebels”.

Yet now the “Western partners” are so mortified by the plight of Muslims in Western China.

At least there are some cracks within the EU illusionist circus. Last week, the French Armed Forces Joint Reflection Circle (CRI) – in fact an independent think tank of former high officers – wrote a startling open letter to cardboard NATO secretary-general Stoltenberg de facto accusing him of behaving as an American stooge with the implementation of NATO 2030 plan. The French officers drew the correct conclusion: the US/NATO combo is the main cause of appalling relations with Russia.

These Ides of March

Meanwhile, sanctions hysteria advance like a runaway train. Biden-Harris has already threatened to impose extra sanctions on Chinese oil imports from Iran. And there’s more in the pipeline – on manufacturing, technology, 5G, supply chains, semiconductors.

And yet nobody is trembling in their boots. Right on cue with Russia-China, Iran has stepped up the game, with Ayatollah Khamenei issuing the guidelines for Tehran’s return to the JCPOA.

  1. The US regime is in no position to make new demands or changes regarding the nuclear deal.
  2. The US is weaker today than when the JCPOA was signed.
  3. Iran is in a stronger position now. If anyone can impose new demands it’s Iran and not the US.

And with that we have a Russia-China-Iran triple bitch slap on the Hegemon.

In our latest conversation/interview, to be released soon in a video + transcript package, Michael Hudson – arguably the world’s top economist – hit the heart of the matter:

The fight against China, the fear of China is that you can’t do to China, what you did to Russia. America would love for there to be a Yeltsin figure in China to say, let’s just give all of the railroads that you’ve built, the high-speed rail, let’s give the wealth, let’s give all the factories to individuals and let the individuals run everything and, then we’ll lend them the money, or we’ll buy them out and then we can control them financially. And China’s not letting that happen. And Russia stopped that from happening. And the fury in the West is that somehow, the American financial system is unable to take over foreign resources, foreign agriculture. It is left only with military means of grabbing them as we are seeing in the near East. And you’re seeing in the Ukraine right now.

To be continued. As it stands, we should all make sure that the Ides of March – the 2021 version – have already configured a brand new geopolitical chessboard. The Russia-China Double Helix on high-speed rail has left the station – and there’s no turning back.

Apparently, Lybia is being sanctioned too.

China blacklists 10 EU officials and academics after bloc hits Beijing with sanctions over alleged abuses of Uighur Muslims

It comes after the Council of the EU announced on Monday it was slapping sanctions on four Chinese regional party representatives and an organization in the north-western province of Xinjiang.

The move is part of a raft of EU sanctions against China, North Korea, Libya, Eritrea, South Sudan, and Russia, where, Brussels claims, torture, extrajudicial killings, and enforced disappearances are being carried out.

Note that it is the “Council of the EU” which does that (not to be confused with the Council of Europe not to be confused with the EU Parliament – all Outfits of Incompetence which must be financed, by the way – heavily, and with perks and tax-free Porsche Cayennes too, while the gentlepeople discuss global warming for which Russian Gas has to be turned off or something).

    An interesting headline from Germany:

Green Party is an ‘arm of the US elites’ & doesn’t care about German interests – Merkel’s ally to RT

The party has promised to curb the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which will allow Russian gas to flow directly to Germany under the Baltic Sea, making it cheaper compared to delivering it from the US. The project that has already cost 9.5 billion euros is currently more than 95% complete. The Greens claim that the pipeline has “climate and energy implications,” while also infringing on the interests of Ukraine. Kiev may well lose transit money when the new route bypassing the Ukrainian territory is used to deliver gas to Europe.

Instead of pointing toward Ukraine, the Greens should better care about German and EU interests, Otte argued. Germany is now trying to move away from nuclear energy and coal, so it’s essential for the country to have diverse and reliable sources of natural gas, like Nord Stream 2, he explained.

The Green Party is acting contrary to the interests of their own country because they are “an arm of the US internationalist elite,” the CDU politician insisted.

Meanwhile, the UK is tries to get Sizewell C NPP moving but apparently they want to kick out the Chinese now — because “muh tech transfer” as if China wasn’t building EPRs already. Will they find the money? I guess, if they print it fast enough!

“The Greens claim that the pipeline has “climate and energy implications,” while also infringing on the interests of Ukraine. Kiev may well lose transit money when the new route bypassing the Ukrainian territory is used to deliver gas to Europe.”

Ha ha ha, Don’t these junior Eurocrats realize that one of the prime motivations for Russia to build NS 2 is precisely to by pass the Ukraine? Is their memory so short, or they are too young to know anything?

Ukraine richly deserved to be bypassed by Russia in the gas context—even before the Maidan. The biggest pipeline from Russia to Europe went through the Ukraine. But the latter totally misused the bottleneck power that gave them, also stole gas, refused to pay for gas they contracted for, made the gasline a political football in internal Uk politics, etc. The EU also played along with a lot of this game.

Mores sensible heads won out in Europe—at least in Germany.
Now who is paying off the Greens to go “woke” on NS 2?

In any event European investors will lose more than Gazprom if the Greens succeed in halting NS 2. But somehow I doubt that they will. The prospect of Russia saying: “Fine, make my day,” and a polite Putinesque way of saying Go pound sound is probably too cringe-making for the Germans, among others.

  3. NATO 2030 calls for “a more global NATO”, engaged with its “southern flank”.

Translated, it just means tightening the bondage of Global South nations to the American hegemon, using NATO muscle.

Do Denmark and Norway really want to be manning military outposts in Africa, providing cover for globalist cock-blocking of the silk road? If America gets its way, NATO members are going to be sharing the dishonor of taking part in more shitstorms like Libya in 2011.

Communism is the godless religion. This is why it has so much in common with Christianity (which venerates the image of a dead god, and the means of his execution). Both were invented by Jews. It’s no secret that rational people reject YHWH. But why accept an alternative also conceived by YHWH’s servants? Do not Christianity and communism both result in Jews owning all the gold?

The alternative to YHWH is the feminine or androgynous deity. It is a lie that God is a man. It is a fundamental deceit. It is the foundation of a world of error. Do not turn away from God just because so many lies, and so much error has been wrought in God’s name. Ask God for God’s true name. Namaste.

  6. I realize that diplomacy means keeping a cool head and selecting your words carefully. The US contingent apparently doesn’t understand this.

The German Greens (despite claiming to be an environmentalist party, are not interested in environmentalism at all, but I digress) are neoliberal shills for the Western hegemon USA, now more than ever. They are obsessed with promoting the “values” of the rainbowflag and are the staunchest pro-immigration party in todays Germany (which says a lit, bc apart from the AfD every party in the German parlament is obsessed with mass-immigration into Germany).

They were already in Power between 1998 and 2005 and made sure the German armed forces were allowed to fight outside of NATO-territory and acted accordingly in imperialist wars like Kosovo-war of ’99 and the still ongoing Afghanistan war from 2001 onwards.

Many fundamentalist evangelicals are phoney and deliberately avoid something very explicitely stated in the Holy Bible:
ALL YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT PROJECT ADAM

    Part 0:NATURE OF YAHWEH:

Yahweh is the ‘Holy Father’ in heaven and Satan is the ‘Lord of the air’ (Ephesians 2:1-3).
Yahweh is technically a superpowerful Extra-Terrestrial entity with ability we mortals can’t fathom. I’ve no intention to paint Yahweh as a green skin creature descended from a flying saucer. But sure ‘He’ is not of this world. If Yahweh is a biologist, then Earth is a petri dish and human are the micro-organism inside the petri dish sustained by the all powerful Yahweh. Praised be Yahweh !
Yahweh is omnipotent and can pick up multiple gender combos and its blasphemy to say He is ‘male’ only . He is technically a multi-gender/hermaphrodite extra-terrestrial/ entity with ability beyond human reach. (Early semite chieftains were so patriachal that they could only relate powerful entities to males)
    http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2008-08-15/news/0808141093_1_god-yahweh-backward.
YES !! Yahweh is LGBT !! Yahweh precisely echo the lexico:There’s an infinite amount of Genders!!
Part 1: PROJECT ADAM –Something went wrong…

When Yahweh created non-human higher animals or mammals, both male and female genders were created; but when it came to creating human, Yahweh had a different scheme.
Genesis 1:26-27–And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… So the original plan is making a hermaphrodite human species capable of self-fertilisation or same gender procreation.
Genesis 2:7–And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
When Yahweh created human, Eve OBVIOUSLY was NOT part of the original plan.
    Now something went very wrong:
Genesis 2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
Apparently Adam was looking for a sex mate/’helper’ among the animals(male or female).
The Original Sin of Man had nothing to do with that piece of apple(from the tree of knowing good and evil). Obviously the Original Sin WAS bestial lust if not the actual act of bestiality. What your pastors told you about the original sin is WRONG !!
Part 2: RESCUE PLAN B or the cloning of Eve

    Genesis 2:21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Genesis 2:22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Genesis 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
    ….
Because the bio-engineering experiment of Yahweh the powerful extra-terrestrial went terribly wrong and Eve was created to salvage the project. The creation of Eve was likely delegated to Lucifer, an obvious female member of Yahweh’s pantheon. An alternative possibility was that Yahweh’s grand hermaphrodite plan(like Adam with bulging breasts capable of milking, phallus plus a posterior cavity doubled as both digestive exit and birth canal) was sabotaged by Lucifer the radical feminist.

Project ADAM part C —JESUS the ‘Son’ of God

Jesus, the Son of God and was obviously a result of cloning(or self-splitting from the entity of Yahweh)and growth inside the womb chamber of Virgin Mary without hetero interaction with the latter. There’s no confirmed heterosexual record of Jesus. Jesus was finally the ‘successful’ conclusion of Project ADAM

Other evidences regarding the original intended biological attributes of man:
    — Males also have nipples, ie according to Yahweh’s original grand plan, males should also be able to breast feed new borns
    — Male prostate glands enable male to male sex (otherwise why can’t the prostate gland be placed away from the rectum ?)
    — Roman Catholic priests are forbidden to engage in heterosex but a significant % are homos. Those priests are servant of Yahweh and thus act the way Yahweh intends for them.

    Final Conclusion:

1)Homos are true followers of Yahweh
2)Heteros and (anti-trans)feminists are (unconscious) followers of Lucifer.
(Lucifer is not an ugly male with horns as Christian preachers want you to believe; rather most likely a winged naked humanoid seductress belle )

That’s always the Zionist’s opening shot: get your opponent off balance by accusing them of genocide/anti-Semitism/racism/bigotry, and then move in for the kill. They did it against “Nazi” Europe, they did it against Middle Eastern “Islamofascists,” they did it against “racist Putinist Russia,” they did it against “Deplorable” America…

It worked for 50 years, thanks to having the full might of (Zionist occupied) Washington behind it, and being full-blown megalomaniacs with “chosen” delusions of grandeur, they thought it would work forever. So did their glib, neocon/neolib lackeys and tools in the Washington swamp, the Deep State, and Hollywoodd/MSM.

After that nicety comes the unpleasant matter. And then, close with a positive item.

I once mentioned the above to a friend, who replied that, heck, you don’t need to be a coach to understand this; everybody knows this.

Well, almost everybody. Philip Roth wrote about the exceptions; those for whom dissension and contentiousness constitute an irresistible pattern of thought, a habit of speech, a philosophy. For Roth’s Zukerman, these “put a spring in his heel.” This is my hypothesis to explain an otherwise inexplicable departure from something everybody knows — and which had special importance in that particular meeting.

Whatever you think about Russia or China and I am not a fan of China personally, but what does that matter in the words of the great stateswoman, the conqueror of Libya as China is going to be the dominant power of the 21st century on the track we are on, the United States is a clown show, a dumpster fire. It is a polyglot boarding house of stupidity. I don’t even give the Deep State or Establishment credit for having any coherent plans… they are taking the turd of this country farther down the crapper. As the other article featured today says, they don’t really give a crap about this stupid country, so they can just burn it down…

Too bad millenials.. you are proper fcked as the British say.

  32. Mefobills says:

History doesn’t repeat, but it sure as hell rhymes.

The Revolutionary and Civil war was fought against finance capital; where said capital emanated mostly from London. By 1912 the U.S. was no longer Industrial Capitalist, but had been usurped by Finance Capitalism, and of course the (((usual suspects))) were pulling strings in the background.

WW2 was the now finance capitalist allies against the industrial capitalist axis powers.

The run up to WW2 had the axis “industrial capitalist” powers exit the London based finance capitalist “sterling” system. Churchill even admitted to the reason why the allies attacked.

    http://www.renegadetribune.com/winston-churchill-germanys-unforgivable-crime/

Germany’s most unforgivable crime before the Second World War was her attempt to extricate her economic power from the world’s trading system and to create her own exchange mechanism which would deny (((world finance))) its opportunity to profit.

Finance capital exported jobs from the U.S. and the West toward China; this in order to take wage arbitrage. China then rope-a-dopes the dummies from the west, and uses its state credit and industrial capitalist system to acquire intellectual know-how, and climb the industrial curve.

Finance capitalist are slowly being cut-out of taking wage arbitrage from China and realize that their “assets” over there, can be taken by the Chinese state at any time. Now they want war to secure their asset position, and to buy more of China at a war time fire sale price.

Finance capital runs the same playbook over and over. The bad guys won in WW1 and 2. The (((international))) finance class works behind the scenes to take sordid gain on humanity, including mass death.

If your government is festooned with ne0-con Jews, then that should be strong signal that your country is not sovereign, but instead is operated by stealth with finance capital and its oligarchs.

This time around is different, China and Russia will exit the dollar system, and the western finance capitalist class can do nothing but make idle threats. Some will argue that the West will resort to nukes.

Maybe? I’m assuming that our (((friends))) are not completely insane, as they would lose their capital and asset position. Their greed will stop them from destroying themselves, and us.

  33. MLK says:

Not even at the height of the Cold War the superpowers resorted to ad hominem attacks. The result of such an astonishing blunder was to regiment virtually the whole Russian population behind Putin – because that was perceived as an attack against the Russian state.

This was no “blunder.” The meaningless sanctions on a handful of Russians already sanctioned was Shout Distraction from the out of the gate payoffs for staying on team until Trump was removed.

Throughout the Cold War the USG adhered to what any reasonably intelligent middle schooler learned, US must keep the Eurasian landmass from uniting. Now Russia and China are in an open Strategic Alliance and, excepting Trump, the USG is back to playing exactly the role at every turn that furthers it.

It really isn’t so difficult to reverse engineer these recent events, including the Alaska set-piece. Nary a complaint about the China Virus (bioweapon), cyber attacks including as a part of the election steal, and most especially on trade and all the associated issues like Intellectual Property theft.

No, after a four year pause its back to self-defeating complaints about internal Chinese matters somewhat less embarrassing than the ladies and LBGT squeaking that Hillary engaged in as cover for giving away the store.

Western elites barely even try to hide any longer how appealing they find the CCP China model. The Governing Class is now moving rapidly to wholesale replace pesky, uncertain competition, whether for political office or in markets, with an authoritarian/fascist alternative that the CCP China playfully refers to as Socialism With Chinese Characteristics.

Please explain how Putin took Russia from being “busted-out” by the (((Oligarchs))) in the 90’s to where it is at today.

Please explain how it was free-market theology that was responsible for Russia becoming self-sufficient in food, and now has a first rate military?

You can’t. Because you are a drooling lolbertarian idiot, who promotes theories that have no bearing on the real world. We’ll actually they do, lolbertarianism is a cover and shield ideology for finance capitalism.

It was free-market theory that made Russia succumb to the “Harvard Boys.” And yes, the Harvard boyeez were the (((usual suspects))).

    https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/harvard-boys-do-russia/

The privatization drive that was supposed to reap the fruits of the free market instead helped to create a system of tycoon capitalism run for the benefit of a corrupt political oligarchy that has appropriated hundreds of millions of dollars of Western aid and plundered Russia’s wealth.

LOOOL. N O. Wrong. Where to even begin?

The Chins never lost their cool. Especially not when they so obviously “lose face” by doing so. A fifteen minute reply to a two minute statement? Think about it.

They knew exactly the stunt Uncle Smelly would pull. The invitation, to American home ground, no less. Not to someplace like Singapore, or Turkey, or Indonesia. No, invited to Alaska – a U.S. State! A frickin’ OBVIOUS trap.

You could see the Shmel plan from miles away. A play to gain advantage, to publicly make the Chins look weak, subject them to a media diplomatic humiliation, and as usual control the narrative. “See, these Chinese still bow down before the mighty United States” That’s the outcome we THOUGHT we’d get.

And of course, the Chins agree to meet with no preconditions, with no feelers for lifting any sanctions? Like the “idiots” the Deep State think they are? (Notice the Iranians are setting all sorts of conditions now to get back into JCPOA).
All this, when China’s moved on from sanctions and Covid, and they’re playing the stronger hand in terms of economic recovery, AND it was Uncle Shmel who asked for the meet, not them? Puhleeze, give me a break.

What happened was, Uncle Smell tried to set a trap, and it blew up in our face. Oh, the Chinese were ready – and all that “anger” and “humiliation” – its the Chinese making us look bad and them FEIGNING deep outrage. It’s them taking control of the narrative.

The giveaway was then their Foreign Minister asked that the reporters and cameras stay in the room while he delivered his scripted harangue. Guy must’ve practiced a little prior to the meet.

Basically a media replay of the whole Covid-19 fiasco. We unleash the plague in Wuhan, at exactly the right TIME and PLACE where the virus can be carried to their whole country. We were so “smart”, we thought. They turned that around on us, we got our own murder weapon (Covid-19) used on us.

Same thing in Alaska – we set up the trap, we get that trap tripped, with us caught in it.

And now, everyone in the world, except the usual suspects, are cheering China on.

Great job, Uncle Hegemon – start a Cold War, pick a fight, talk trash – then have it all shoved right back at us!

Only for a short period in the nineteenth- and early twentieth-centuries did China teeter on the back foot. Before that time it was a glittering, technologically, culturally and politically advanced civilisation. And now it’s back!

Persia’s proud and powerful history is almost as long as China’s, while admittedly Russia has been around for rather less time, but is still almost a thousand years older than the USA.

I can see that your comment is on the right track, and I am not attempting to refute any of it apart from the injudicious use of that one word. As the old joke has it, America is the only nation to have gone from barbarism to decadence without the customary interval of civilisation!

  58. For the moment, let’s zoom out of this discussion and examine the big picture. China requested that the USA double it’s agricultural exports, the CCP is so tired of scrambling for the basics, namely food, water and carbon based energy. Russia can supply all the water, gas and oil China (ditto Germany) may need. This is not a threat to the balance of power(s) but to the contrary can be used to preserve it, not by mirroring the past with MAD, sanctions or military encirclement but by good old fashioned mutual dependencies within the spheres of finance and international commerce. Somehow the Biden administration must convince Xi that the doubling of U.S. food production is more or less possible provided that the CCP act as a silent partner, resolved to finance theis long term venture. Meanwhile, as food exports continue to rise, our air bases presently encircling China, will gradually be closed or reassigned, for example to perform some environmental cleanup in that particular local. The mechanics of this could be realized by diplomatic negotiation the details of which specified by treaty. The most challenging part of this scenario will come with the selection of ambassadors. Hopefully Biden will choose senior diplomats, formally trained to adhere to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and Protocols on Disputes and NOT individuals who are empty headed political hacks hired into very sensitive positions for which they possess neither training, savvy or the personal demeanor required.

The State Departments of this world must learn to overtake, to reassert the powers of State, seized by NeoCon transnational corporatism. This growing problem is indeed universal and works against
domestic interests of many nations and their people.

China is desperate for fresh water and should have built nuclear desalination plants instead of big and empty cities. But no matter, we all make crazy mistakes and this one can be undone by piping in both water and gas from an almost bottomless supply in Russia. With it’s belly full, one might say, China will no longer be regarded as a threat to India or it’s other regional neighbors. As a consequence, the USA -China alliance will only be strengthened- based on food in exchange for manufactured products. Thus all will be well with the world for the next one hundred years. China will not bite the hand that feeds it nor cause distress to Russia or it’s alliances.

Yes, the MIC’s of this world will loose some business, in the long run, but if we all act in concert the nations can send them to other worlds in our solar system-Keep them busy doing something else for a living!!

There is no way the US could fight a war against a peer or near peer enemy outside of US territory.

Logistics demand a continuing supply of ammunition, food, replacement troops for those killed and injured in action, equipment replacement, intelligence dissemination and covert operations.

None of this logistic requirement could be supplied either by the US or its allies by sea or air considering the military capabilities under the sea or in the air of both Russia and China.

On top of that some 85% of the rare earths needed by the US and its allies just to maintain its out dated weapons is supplied by China.

As matters deteriorate China will just cut off rare earth supplies to the West and the result will be the total collapse of the Leviathan’s ability to make war.

I’m guessing that this is the reality of ‘anon’ and his worldview, because it’s statistically so likely – as you know every bit as well as I. Clown-world propaganda has had more than eighty years in which to refine its technique. Even otherwise intelligent and informed people are so soaked in it that the propaganda has become their (artificial) reality. We happy few, on the other hand, who have dared to raise our eyes above the parapet of propaganda, and who have glimpsed the broad, sunlit uplands, bathed in the refulgent light of truth, honour, dignity and, yes, beauty that lies beyond, are in one way privileged, and in another way cursed, to have seen this vision.

China – and also Russia, today – exist within that which we have merely glimpsed. While it is imperative that we point out to the likes of ‘anon’ the purblind, stunted, blinkered and narrow perspective that is their only source of reference, we must also make allowances for what has brought them to this supine, hollow condition; that of lapdogs and lickspittles, dutifully mouthing their masters’ teachings. But that can’t be cuz if he only came down for the Jews then all Christians are utter fools and should try to convert to Jewishness. The mark of Cain was a big hooked nose, all his descendants had this til the invention of plastic surgery or other forms of nose trimming. Funny how David and all Old Testament greats never mentioned their supposed Jewishness. But then the New Testament came along and all of them were Jewish. The most important thing is how you staff your civilizational hierarchy. Fortunately the Chinese communist party members are high IQ, have empathy, and are trained for their jobs (for the most part). Putin was also groomed and trained for his job by a special group established by Andropov. Russia is desperately searching for the “300” they can use at the top of their civilizational hierarchy.

The hidden finance cabal that now runs the west uses gaslighting techniques to hoax the population into compliance. One of those techniques is to use divide and conquer, especially with claims of racism. This hidden finance cabal are not the best people, many are psychopaths. White men are now being demonized in the U.S. and are accused of racism toward Asians, when there is no real data to support this. For the most part, north east Asians and Caucasians get along just fine.

The middle distribution of sheeple in any population can be bamboozled with narrative control. The big lie works.

Fascist style countries don’t need to lie. The buck stops with the leader (or a small group of leaders at the top). It is not hidden power centers controlling things by theft, compromat, and gaslighting.

For Russia the loss of NS-2 is a mere bump in the road and is more important in (geo)political sense than economically. For Germany this loss is a catastrophe. But it is entirely up to Germany to decide how it wants to commit suicide. Europe got what it wanted and it is not Russia’s business to worry about Europe. I am on record for a long time that the new Iron Curtain is needed to insulate Russia from a cesspool which Europe has become. Only minimal economic contacts should be maintained. That, plus allowing those Europeans who will decide to move to Russia for obvious reasons.

Paul is precisely typical of Jews when he condemns homosexuality (and femininity, and pagan culture) all in the same breath. But the Gospels are NOT homophobic and pointedly encourage tolerance of queer people.

This surely sails right over your head (along the rest of the New Testament). But if the Gospels are historically accurate, then Jesus Christ must have been a flamer. He was a confirmed bachelor who cruised the countryside teaching young men how to fish for other men. He and his gang of twinks roved around telling all men to love each other, to turn the other cheek and submit. His hair was long and his abs chiseled. He was reputed to embody the Hagia Sophia, or divine feminine wisdom. He defended the rights of women against the law of Moses. His symbol is still the vesica piscis or fish pussy, a geometric shape defined by the ratio 153, as alluded to by the book of John. I assume it’s a diagram of Christ’s taint, and probably central to his fishing lessons.

Truly, you cannot accept Jesus Christ unless you understand that he was “born eunuch”. Otherwise you are just an unreformed Jew, and Jesus probably thinks you’re evil.

Apart from not preventing NATao from destroying Libya – what can you gault Russia and China for? After the the Afghanistan invasion they jointly formed the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to ensure security in central asia. That benefitted both of them by stifling Chechen and Uighur jihadis using the area as their training ground. In the case of the Uighurs they began using a NATO country – Turkey as their transit point (not sure about the Chechens). Except Afghanistan – all of Central Asian governments directly coordinate with China and Russia to stop jihadis.
Both countries also worked together to lead the Global South economically with the formation of the BRICS forum. I thought that YHWH belonged to the Old Testament, for to my humble knowledge, the New Testament totally revamped the image of YHWY, from a God of many vices such as vindictiveness and possession to a God of love and forgiveness.

It’s a very complicated issue, isn’t it? Most easily explained by the fact that the Bible is not the word of God, and both Old and New Testaments were authored by different human sources with different worldly motives. The testaments not only contradict each other, they contradict themselves internally. That’s the reason why there are a million and one ideas about what it means to be Christian.

So, for example, in the Old Testament you have the tension between Jews and the earlier traditions of the Israelites and/or Hebrews. When the Jews decided to denounce the Hebrew pantheon in favor of Yahweh, transforming the Elohim into his subordinates, and other gods into demons, they reached back into Hebrew history and concocted the story of Moses, to make it seem that YHWH had been the only god from the beginning, when in fact he was a late pretender to authority. Jews condemn Israelis; Isaiah makes this very clear, that anyone who rejects YHWH will suffer terribly and lose everything.

Next we get Paul, who criticizes certain aspects of Judaism, but still identifies as a Jew and describes his new religion as Judaism for Gentiles. Basically, Pauline Christianity advertises to Greeks that YHWH can circumcise their heart instead of their penis. According to Paul, Christians should materially support Jews, and will be rewarded after death for doing so. Paul is strictly Yahwist: he savors his own enmity towards idols and feminine sexuality. He is very much in the same vein as Moses and Isaiah: an iconoclast willing to condemn his cousins as well as foreigners, if they do not conform to YHWH’s law.

And finally we get the Gospels, which put most of Paul’s teachings into Jesus’s mouth, thus contradicting the rest of Paul’s teachings. Paul said Christianity offers no wisdom, and no miracles, but only the unseen and nonexistent. Paul was totally unaware of Christ’s biography. Yet the Gospels claim to be eyewitness accounts to the life of a wise, world famous healer.

So your comment is on point, but only with regards to half of the New Testament. Paul and the Old Testament are strictly Jewish. The Gospels contradict nearly everything written by Paul, so it is no surprise that they point away from YHWH and toward Sophia. But even still they depend on Judaism for context. Just as Paul said his teaching was meant for Gentiles, the Gospels say their teachings are meant for Jews. If you are not a Jew, there are much better approaches to the true God.

Finally, we note that the immediate result of the Christian canon, including the Gospels, was to have misogynist iconoclasts overrun the Middle East and Europe. Smashing statues, burning books, and murdering philosophers, these are the fields in which early Christians excelled. Love was always an afterthought: not the means but the supposed end.

“ Paul and the Old Testament are strictly Jewish. ”

Thank you for your elaborate reply. Though as someone who have attended Mass, whenever it comes to the writings of Paul, I see a rebel who wanted to break free from the shackles of rabbinic Judaism. According to Nietzsche, Paul’s Damascus moment was that he realised that he was strangled by the Jewish laws that were blinding his eyes and upon noticing that he was suffering from the burden of the law that he subconsciously disliked, the moment he rebelled against it made him see.

This is one of Paul’s writings about love that IMHO sets apart from the Jews:

13 If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast,[a] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. 9 For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; 10 but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly,[b] but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. 13 And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Surely for someone to stress love so much, irrespective of his misogyny, should set him in a league outside the enforcers of the Torah.

You are correct again, and you are referring to a part of the Bible I neglected to mention: the Book of Acts. Biblical scholarship suggests that the authentic writings of Paul were made around 50 CE. Scholarship also suggests that Mark was the earliest Gospel, written as early as 80 CE. The Gospel of Luke was written later, no one knows exactly, even Mark may not have been written until the early 100s. But Luke begins with an address to Theodorus, who was a bishop (I believe) known to administrate in the year 180. The Book of Acts begins with a similar address, which is one reason scholars believe that Luke and Acts were written by the same person. This means that the “road to Damascus” was a scene written for Paul more than a century after he actually lived. It is the means by which the Gospels try to claim priority, by turning Paul into Act II of the NT, when he should be Act I. Also note that not all of Paul’s epistles are considered authentic. If you read the core group of Paul’s letters, you can see the real origin of Christianity. And even in these, Paul TELLS us that he a kind of confidence artist or hustler. He openly muses about deceiving people. He articulates a clear motive: he is willing to say anything to get converts to his new belief system, and eager to take their donations for the Temple in Jerusalem. Paul does criticize the legal fanaticism of his Jewish peers, but I think he only feigns this attitude to justify his insistence that converts did not need to cut off their foreskins for YHWH.

This is how tricky it becomes in trying to understand how early Christianity developed. If Atwill is correct, that the Gospel’s were written as a Flavian religious project with Josephus playing a critical part, then Paul had to have been flying blind and making it up as be saw fit. The Flavians would not have had been able to circulate gospels until >70 A.D. Then there is the added complexity of monks changing or even forging ‘pauline’ works in the first century. Finally, we have the curve-ball of the Dead Sea scrolls to puzzle over.
If I go back to the very beginning and look at the Persian Empire being the original source of monotheism along with their habit of moving subject peoples around I start to believe the Jews are a creation of Persia. Then, I see the Roman’s looking for a long-term solution to Judaica and I see the creation of a rejected neo-Judaism that developed into a merged Flavian-Pauline-Mithraic hybrid under official guidance. The Jews morped into a Rabbinical tradition sans Temple and vigoursly competed for recruits. In truth, they probably lost a lot of numbers to the new Greco-Roman religion and had to compete.
To me it is a fascinating story that reveals how perverse and corrupt leaders can be. Not one of the 3 Abhrahamic religion are organic. Every one is a fake construct designed to enslave not liberate mankind.
Then I compare that to the civilizations of India where they pursued philosophy and ethics in a similar manner as the Greeks did while religious practices among the masses continued on and interacted. I don’t have a very clear picture of this story but several Jain gurus emerged around 3000 years ago before Buddha emerged around 2500 years ago. The goal was to provide a clear understanding of the human condition, a closed system of death and rebirth, and a means to achieve moksha, individual liberation from samara (the closed system). These philosophical systems were the ‘[email protected]’ in the East for 1500 years until Islam was finally able to push into India whereupon the destruction of Indian spiritual traditions commenced immediately.

India has yet to be fully studied but it is very likely they donated a great deal of advanced mathematics to other civilizations. Pythagoras travelled to India to study. India had astronomy, geometry, trig and, possibly, calculus. There is a great deal of resistance to studying early Indian civilization but what is known at this point strongly suggests to me that they had civilization prior to Sumer. The Indus valley civilization of Mohenjo daro seems to have been wiped out by changes in the river systems which were so fast they were unable to adapt quick enough. I bet that if enough digging were to be in India we would be carbon dating stuff to 30-40,000 B.C.

There are many who are incredibly resistant to this. I’m not. I want to not only know the truth but I want learn the whole story.

    …………
Religion is not about ‘making senses’. At the grassroot level, it’s about tribalism; at a higher macro level, it’s about power. One can rate a belief system’s religiousity by examinating how often they coin the term Faith. ‘Faith’ means The clerics/leaders want the adherents to ignore (at least empirical) realities and stick to the dogma.
    ……..
Religions don’t develop in linear nor rational fashion. some examples:
**Buddhism could be considered ‘reformed’ Hinduism and the indian constitution emphasise buddhism is a ‘sect’ of hinduism but yet Buddhists, even those in S Asia, want to distant themselves from the hindus. The bloodly civil war in Sri Lanka is a very good example.
**As I mentioned before, (sunni) Islam is basically arab power sanctified, so after the Holy Prophet died, the mandate was passed to the chief of the tribe who also happened to be the father of Aisha, a wife of the Prophet. The Shiite Persian clerics often claim the Holy Prophet was poisoned by Aisha and her father to seize power.
**The very sublime Psalm 23:2 basically negate the reality that shepherds fleece and slaughter their sheeps.

  118. Shock and awe geopolitics? How about that stuck container ship in the Suez canal? I would bet you that it is all due to Israel shock and awe geopolitical manuevering just before the Israeli election, the one and only Bibi Netanyahu who can’t get a majority and form a government is IMO the likely culprit.

Israel, along with her UK and USA allies have been starving Syria of oil, the US has seized Syrian oil fields, in the meantime Iran has been supplying Syria with oil by tanker. Iran even sailed around Africa to get the oil there.

Why Iran Supertanker Took A Much Longer Route To Reach Syria?

A ship carrying cargo from Iran to Syria just needs to exit the Persian Gulf, circle the Arabian peninsula enter the Red Sea, pass through the Suez canal and duck at a Syrian port. That voyage would take 3,500 nautical miles; not exactly a day trip, but a short sailing distance compared with crossing oceans.

However, Grace 1, the tanker in question, took a different and much longer route circling around Africa on a 12,000 nautical mile journey to reach Syria, just as ships used to do before the Suez was built more than a century ago.

The route the tanker took has been confirmed by several tanker-tracking companies including Kpler, TankerTrackers and others.

Iran has been delivering cheap or free oil to Syria’s Bashar al-Assad for years, because Syria’s own modest oil fields are not in the hands of the Damascus regime.

So with the fate of Bibi up in the air, Wiley E. Coyote blocked all shipping, including all oil shipping through the Suez canal. This was another bold move by Bibi against Iran, Syria, and Russia. The Israeli hardliners are willing to do anything to stop Iran.

Jesus proclaimed to His followers that he came to fulfill the law, meaning the law of the Old Testament, which says that sodomy is abomination and sodomites should be put to death. That is the real Christian teaching. It was clearly laid down in the Old Testament and in no way contradicted by Jesus or His apostles. As for Paul, Christians have accepted his writings as inspired for 2,000 years—and for good reason. That’s not going to change just because some prancing aficionado of gut sex tells us to.

Funny isn’t it, your ‘Gay Science’ knowledge of the Bible, when you can’t even get the names right. The ‘most excellent’ (κράτιστε, optime) personage to whom Luke and Acts are addressed was not Theodorus, but Theophilus!
This Theophilus was with the highest probability none other than Theophilus ben Ananus, the High Priest of the Temple in Jerusalem from 37 to 41, the son of Annas the brother in law of Caiaphas!
He is the one whose name appears on an ossuary discovered in Israel in 1984: “Yehoḥanah (Johanna) daughter of Yehoḥanan (Jonathan) son of Thefilus תפלוס (Theophilus) the High Priest”. Thefilus is a translation of a Hebrew name ידידיה (Yadidiyah), which means friend of Yah.
So, Luke-Acts were written before the destruction of the Temple, even before the death of Paul.

Joe Levantine pointing out that Nietzsche believed Saul’s ‘Damascene conversion’ to have been a blinding realisation that he was repressed and smothered by the Torah is a most important insight into this strange personage. It would, for example, explain why it was that Saul seemed to revel in sticking two fingers up at the Jewish Law. You insist that he was first and foremost a Jew and YHWH’s man, but against that one must weigh in the balance the fact that (as I remarked to ‘Seraphim’ on ‘The Saker’s latest column) he preached nothing less than the complete abrogation of the Torah.

Not only open table fellowship with gentiles and putting the mohel out to grass, but something far more lurid, and which ran counter to the most cherished of all tenets of Judaism. I refer to the drinking of blood (albeit symbolically). Under the Torah, blood was unclean and was not to be touched, much less ingested. A man, for example, was not allowed to share his bed with his wife when she was menstruating. All animals killed for the table had to have the blood first drained away by kosher slaughter. Yet Saul came up with the one thing most calculated to insult and outrage any practicing Jew, and especially the direct family of his ‘poster boy’ Jesus, whose brother James the Just was a fanatically devout Jew.

He preached the symbolic drinking of the blood of James’ deceased brother. That this caused an almighty feud with James and his associates not even the Book of Acts bothers to pretend otherwise. In fact this allusion to the dispute is actually a prime example of what the Tübingen School referred to as tendenz – something that despite being inimical to the writer’s intent, was something so well known at the time that the writer understood that he could not get away with simply ignoring it. The tactic in this particular instance was to come out and boldly state that this feud existed, and then try to ‘defuse’ the inconvenient truth it represented.

Devout Christians therefore dutifully (and uncritically) point to the verses the author of Acts inserted, whereby this fundamental feud is lamely stitched together by means of the fatuous ‘Council of Jerusalem’. It was propaganda from the moment Saul’s chum ‘Luke’ wrote Acts as an excuse for his friend’s behaviour.

Ah yes: Saul’s ‘chum’, the author of Acts. This does not fit in with Acts belonging to the second century C.E. timeframe that you suggest. I don’t know, because having studied the evidence it remains unclear to me. My tentative conclusion, however, is that the author of Acts and the gospel we know as ‘Luke’ were very likely the same person and that he did know Saul personally and was possibly his travelling companion.

Whatever is the case, Nietzsche’s postulation regarding Saul’s relationship with the Jewish Law would certainly fit well with his grotesque over-reaction in that direction. It is a rule of life that many ‘converts’ become over-zealous, and Saul might well be thought of as having converted himself to a Law-debunking cult!

  125. Seraphim says:

The ‘strange personage’ in the whole discussion is Nietzsche, struck with blindness and madness when he had the ‘blinding revelation’ that he was ‘repressed and smothered’ by Christian ‘slave morality’, that ‘God is dead’ and that he is not the ‘Übermensch’, but a poor wretch.
It’s true that the ‘slaves’ put the blame on syphilis, or chronic masturbation, or drug-addiction, or all combined.

You are right, I had a senior moment, I meant Theophilus. Not only the Greek translation of “friend of Yah” but the bishop of Antioch through the year 183 CE. Theophilus obviously means “God lover” in Greek (the language that Luke was written in); just because someone used this name in 1984 to translate the Hebrew name “friend of Yah” does not make them the same name, much less the same person. Luke-Acts could not possibly have been written before the fall of the Temple to Titus. Unless of course you believe in a psychic Jewish sorcerer who volunteered to have a stake shoved up his ass for all mankind.

Jesus proclaimed to His followers that he came to fulfill the law, meaning the law of the Old Testament, which says that sodomy is abomination and sodomites should be put to death. That is the real Christian teaching.

Your first sentence is true, but it does not mean what you think it means. Your second sentence is absolutely false.

Again, we must distinguish between Paul and the Gospels, because Paul would probably agree that “sodomites” should be put to death. But Jesus only makes his remarks about “fulfilling the law” in the Gospels. He makes no remark at all in the writings of Paul.

Anyone who reads the Gospels can plainly determine that when Jesus says he will fulfill the law, it means he will change it radically. The law of Moses says to take an eye for an eye; Jesus says to turn the other cheek. Moses says to honor your father and mother; Jesus says to forsake your family if necessary. Moses says to get a writ of divorce; Jesus says divorce is a sin. Moses says not to work in the Sabbath; Jesus says no big deal. Moses says stone the adultress; Jesus says that the man without sin should cast the first stone, thus sparing her life. This last example is important, as it relates to sexual “sin” and capital punishment; there is no reason to think that Jesus Christ would not spare the life of a gay man in the same situation. Above all, Jesus refuted the law of Moses by saying that it was no longer a tribal covenant, it was now a covenant for all mankind. Moses says to love your neighbor as yourself; Jesus said to love a stranger and a foreigner as your neighbor. Jesus tells the Jews to give up their gold and their lands and their scriptures and make way for the glory of Rome. This is truly the antithesis of Mosaic law.

Off topic but very correct. There was no reason for him to speak directly to sodomy since it wasn’t accepted in Judea… He spoke against things that were sinful that they did accept. Saul – who was the apostle to the Gentiles – regulary had to tell the Greek speaking gentiles that sodomy and effeminate behavior would be shut out.

Neither you, not the Mizes gang seem to understand that what passes for an economic theory today – finance capitalism – and its predecessor – industrial capitalism – were made possible by governments passing laws. Those laws were and are, always most beneficial to those with means. The Mizes crowd would have no difficulty with a Rothschild bank, for whom they shill, owning everything, because that’s “free enterprise”. The fact that the Rothschild bank has been granted the right to commit fraud through government laws permitting it to lend what it doesn’t have, is never a problem.

You try to avoid the evidence, beating around the bush. Why is his name rendered in Greek (Thefilus) on an Aramaic inscription where the names of his son and his grand-daughter are rendered in Hebrew if Theophilus was not his name, as is rendered also by Josephus Flavius, sandwiched between Johnatan ben Ananus and Simon Cantatheras ben Boethus?
Greek was widely used commonly all across the Hellenistic world, concurrently with Aramaic. It was the exclusive language of the large Jewish diaspora, of the ‘Hellenistai’ for whom the evangelists wrote. Hebrew was not in use for long in Judea itself, so that the Scriptures had to be translated in Aramaic (that were the ‘Targumim’). The Hellenistai had already the Septuagint, whereas the ‘Babylonian’ Jews used the targumim. It is known that Matthew ”compiled the sayings (logia) of Jesus in the Hebrew language”, no doubt in Aramaic and it was certainly the ‘blueprint’ for the subsequent Aramaic translations which are used in the ‘Oriental Churches’.
Theophilus was obviously a ‘Hellenist’ like Paul and Luke. Luke wrote to him in the middle of the fight of ‘Judaizers’ against the ‘Hellenistai’, which Paul asked to be judged by the Emperor. Some scholars surmised that Theophilus was Paul’s ‘defense lawyer’ and Luke was writing to acquaint him with the background as to why Paul changed from Saul to Paul and from persecutor of Christians to becoming prominent in promoting the faith and what was the background of the accusations brought by the ‘Judaizers’ against Paul. It makes perfect sense that Paul would have appealed to a former High Priest to at least ‘arbitrate’ in the conflict developing in the messianistic atmosphere which would lead to the Jewish Revolt and the final destruction of the Temple. Why didn’t Luke who he died in 84 AD, speak of the death of Paul, of the death of James, of the actual destruction of the Temple which he witnessed and was viewed as the fulfillment of prophecy?

You want to talk about evidence, you are basing your thesis on a piece of limestone with 7 words on it that was “acquired” by Israel via the “antiquities market” in 1984? Since the text is Aramaic, it means that the author was using an Aramaic transliteration of the Greek name Theophilus, in place of the Hebrew name “friend of Yah”. When do you suppose this piece of limestone was inscribed, assuming it is authentic, which in the field of religious reliquary is rare indeed? As for Josephus, he was writing decades later, in 93 CE, in Greek for a Greek audience! Of course he would translate “friend of Yah” as “Theophilus”. This does NOT mean that the high priest was known as Theophilus in 40 CE. Is Josephus the earliest usage of “Theophilus”? That could explain where the author of Luke found the term. But it is also possible that Luke is addressing Theophilus, the Bishop of Antioch, around 180 CE, since Luke as a person or document is not attested to before that time.

There has been an ongoing war between Israel and Iran over the shipment of oil to Syria. All of Syria’s oil is controlled by other parties, including the US.

Iran has been shipping oil to Syria. So far 30 Iranian oil tankers have been damaged. Iran first started shipping the oil around Africa then they started using the Suez canal.

On Tuesday morning, when Bibi Netanyahu who is unable to get a majority, fearing election loss he ordered the Ever Given scuttled and stopped Iranian oil from using the canal. The next day the headlines were that Iran had shot a missile at an Israel owned ship in the Arabian Sea. This headline was a distraction from the original operation to stop Iran oil.

The stuck container ship is the work of Israel for sure, the dead giveaway was the election day then the false news blaming Iran for a missile attack. The news also said the wind blew the tanker off course or that it couldn’t see from a sandstorm, this is nonsense since they use GPS. This ship has the latest electronics, it was not lost in the canal.

Incidentally, the name Theophila was inscribed on an ossuary found securely in a tomb on the northern outskirts of Jerusalem in 1932, near the place where the ossuary of Yehohanah was said to be found.
Theophilus of Antioch was a noted Church writer who in his writings quotes Luke and Paul’s Epistles.
The existence of Luke’s Gospel before 180 is beyond any doubt. There is even the possibility that Paul himself quotes Luke! Even the most extreme partisans of the late date of the Gospels didn’t dare to go that far. By the time of Theophilus all four Gospels were deemed canonical, ‘pillars and ground’ of the Church and revered.
It has been convincingly shown that the famous ‘Testimonium Flavianum’ (Antiquities 18:63-64) is a paraphrase of the Emmaus narrative of Luke (24:22-24).

Unlike you, I believe in the validity of the entire New Testament. I take it on faith that if Paul taught error, then God would not have allowed his writings to become part of the Bible. On the other hand, if the Bible, or at least the New Testament, is not inspired, then none of it matters. In that case, even if Jesus could be demonstrated, not merely surmised, to have been sympathetic to sodomites, that would be of no importance.

However, if one takes the position that some parts of the New Testament are inspired but others are not, as you appear to do, then arguably the very first passage to be regarded with skepticism is the story of Jesus’ saving the adulterous woman. There is nearly universal agreement among Biblical deconstructionists—which is to say, skeptics, not Christian scholars—that the story is a later add-on. Again, that’s not my belief, but it’s taken as gospel (pun intended) by skeptical of the Bible. Needless to say, their contention destroys the basis for any argument in favor of homosexualism.

  151. @Ray Caruso

The entire New Testament is full of inconsistencies, just as is the Old Testament. We are told the entire Bible is Yahweh’s word put to paper through the hands of man, and it is the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth. If this is the case, there should be no inconsistencies at all. Yahweh has assured us he is the only form of true perfection that has ever existed, and that the word of God(the Bible)is his plan for man(the ever evil sinner)to some day be saved through grace by faith in his son Jesus Christ. If the Bible is truly the word of the only perfect being to ever exist and not the concoction of who know’s who, how can it be riddled with inconsistencies?

A few examples of New Testament inconsistencies:

The first example of New Testament inconsistencies starts with the very first chapter/verse of the NT where the linage of Christ is told(Matthew 1:1). This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham. The next several verses start with Abraham and goes through a long line of “begats”. The list ends with verse 16: “And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.” Why was Joseph’s lineage listed when he not supposed to be the biological father of Christ?

Matthew 1:17 states there were 14 generations from Abraham to David, yet if you read verses 2-6 and count the listed generations there are only 13.

Matthew 1:16 tells us Joseph’s father was Jacob, while Luke 3:23 assures us it was Heli.

Matthew chapter 2 tells us Herod the Great ordered all infants murdered in Bethlehem after Christ birth. The NT is the only place this ruthless act was mentioned. Why were these events not mentioned by Josephus and Philo, contemporary historians of Alexandria? Josephus spent a great deal of time documenting Herod’s bloody reign of murder and terror and never once mentioned “the slaughter of innocents”.

This is just a minute sampling of NT inconsistencies. For more I suggest the book The Trouble With The Bible by Charles Giuliani, from which these examples were taken.
    https://www.google.com/books/edition/What_Is_Wrong_With_the_Bible/EXRvDwAAQBAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&pg=PT1

As far as the Sodomy thing goes, it is really none of my(our your)business regarding another human beings sex life, as long as that human being does not try and force his beliefs and life style on me and my children. If sodomy is wrong and harmful, mother nature and natural law will handle the problem. For me, as Thomas Jefferson stated, If it neither picks my pocket or breaks my leg, it is of no concern to me.

  152. @Ray Caruso

Who or what is this “god” that inspired the NT writers? Two books solve this puzzle, first Joseph Atwill’s ‘Caesar’s Messiah’ explains how Rome wrote the Gospels after 70AD, for the singular purpose of converting Messianic Jews to a religion favorable to Rome, a peaceful, non-violent, state supporting religion. Rome did this by hiring the Jewish scholar Josephus, then used the current sun god myths of the day. Jesus was a 100% fictional character invented by the Flavians and Josephus and stuck into a sun god myth like Mythraism.

It has been convincingly shown that the famous ‘Testimonium Flavianum’ (Antiquities 18:63-64) is a paraphrase of the Emmaus narrative of Luke (24:22-24).

Yeah right, the TF didn’t exist until Eusebius interpolated it. It was copied from Luke all right, but not by Josephus! Not in the 1st century! No early church father was aware of it.

  154. Seraphim says:

Try to read some real historians of the Church (the Gospels in the first place!) and not just watch youtube conferences à la Bart Ehrman, Richard Carrier’s or read just bloggers. Try to understand what the Tradition of the Church is and how it operates in regards to the preservation and transmission of sacred texts.
The first recommendation requires an intellectual effort, a desire to understand and patience, a knowledge of history and the reasons why people write histories and not myths, that very few are capable of nowadays, actually they refuse to do so. Are you prepared to read the commentaries of the Fathers of the Church, a daunting task even for specialists?
The second requires a empathetic approach to the Church and effort to understand what really the Church is and what it stands for, that is rejected from the get go, nay, is attacked and insulted in the most vile punk language.
You would have heard of the ‘Muratori Canon’ which despite all the efforts to prove the contrary is dated before 155 and it includes the four Gospels (written in red ink), with Luke in the third position.

I have read the Gospels closely, and advanced original arguments about them on my website, supporting the general thesis that they are satirical compositions meant to ridicule Paul and Judaism more broadly. Don’t tell me to read the Gospels.

The whole point is that we are looking for sources outside of the Gospels that can corroborate them in some way. Paul cannot corroborate the Gospels. No known historical figure of the first century can corroborate the Gospels, including individuals who were steeped in proto Christian philosophy, like Philo and Seneca, or historians, like Josephus.

You ask me to read the church fathers, while you use the Testimonium Flavianum as a crutch? How come the TF was not mentioned by any of the church fathers, who pored over Antiquities of the Jews in defense of the Gospels? Neither Justin Martyr, nor Theophilus of Antioch, nor Irenaeus, nor Clement of Alexandria, nor Hippolytus, nor Origen, cites the TF. It was not cited until Eusebius miraculously discovered it two centuries after it was supposedly written. We are supposed to believe that the prolix Josephus, who detailed a dozen different Jesuses in his works, would just casually mention “oh yeah, and the Messiah came, and Pilate crucified him, and he came back to life on the third day, and fulfilled the prophets and stuff”, and never bring up the subject again?

I know our debates will never be very fruitful, because we are unable to agree on even the most basic premise. You are defending your faith and I am deconstructing it. Take the example of Christ raising Lazarus from the dead. This event is only described in the book of John. John contradicts the other Gospels in significant ways, including a drawn out timeline of events. Can you agree that there is no reason to believe that the raising of Lazarus was a historical occurrence? It is physically impossible and not corroborated by any other source.

As for the “Muratori Canon”, wikipedia tells me it is a 7th century manuscript, a copy of a translation that is estimated to have been made in 170 CE, or 155 CE as you say. If you want to admit that is the earliest evidence for the existence of the Gospel of Luke, that is fine with me. But this also speaks to your comment about “the preservation and transmission of sacred texts”. By preservation you of course mean forgery, mutilation, and outright incineration. Monks made copies of copies of copies as Christianity worked to destroy all evidence that the Gospels were fake news.

But Christianity can only justify itself by saying a bunch of supernatural events literally happened, and were accurately documented, and preserved over centuries, and so provide definitive “proof” of divinity. Believing in that doesn’t make you faithful, it makes you a gullible fucking moron. You obviously have no grasp on reality. You worm away from my simple questions. You resort to ad hominem. Any Christian I have ever known believes the word of God is the word of God until it is no longer convenient for them. Once a new belief is needed, the “interpretation” of this same Bible is simply changed to meet the new needs of the Christian. Perhaps that is why Christ spoke in parables, that way it could be all about the interpretation. Just some thoughts.

Flat earth theory is attached to any idea outside the mainstream narrative for the singular purpose to discredit and ridicule then dismissal. I do not want my ancient alien theory of origin discredited by flat earthers, so sorry bro take flat earth somewhere else.

You know there are hundreds of ways to prove the earth is a sphere, my favorite is by logical deduction, if you see the planets as spinning circles, they must be spheres. Same for the sun, if the sun is rotating, as you can see the sunspots moving day to day, then the sun must be a sphere. Thus if the planets and sun are spheres then the earth must be also.

The best way to prove earth is a sphere is simply look at video footage of an orbiter satellite. This is available online, so how can anyone even think the earth is anything but a sphere when we have live footage from space of the earth turning below?

    You say

All major religions believed in the flat earth model pre 1500’s

Dude – all major religion are complete bullshit, so is it any wonder their cosmology is faulty? Subscribing to any religious idea is a sure way to be eventually proven wrong, and the reason for that is how religion is constructed, by faith and assertion (and by forced conversion and terror), not by reason and proof. Thus if you build up a system of knowledge by non-scientific means it is virtually guaranteed to be wrong.

Thus, since the thousands of assertions in the Holy Bible are NOT proven, the Bible has a near 100% probability to be wrong. Let me tell you a story of how that works, how Caveman started religion based on faulty observations of Nature. Unable to fully comprehend natural laws, caveman attributed much of his surroundings and fates to an external agent we call God. Caveman had no idea about the forces of nature, he did not understand the formation of clouds, rain, or thunder. Such events were all very mysterious and unknowable to the primitive tribe, so caveman assigned these events to God.

Our tale of how caveman formed religion starts one day when caveman Benjinmin Nutjobyahoo is struck by lightning and killed. Ben had been standing on top of a big boulder, an erratic left from a previous ice age, on top a small hill in the middle of a huge grassy plain looking for bison and mammoths. A thunderstorm approached, and thunder boomed, a bolt of lighting found the shortest path to earth through old Ben ended up being a human lightning rod and was struck dead.

The other tribe members witnessed this display of heavenly anger, they saw Ben get struck down in a brilliant flash of light, it was an awesome display of God’s power and might. Frightened and confused, one caveman said to another, God was angry and killed Ben because he sinned. They vowed to atone for Ben’s sin by making a burnt offering to the angry god of the heavens next time they got some game. They did and every time some “bad” event happened to the tribe they performed animal blood sacrifice.

After many thousands of years of rigid religious dogmatic thinking, these tyrannical Rabbinic priests who believe in backwards ideas about an angry judgmental God they called Yahweh formed a state and called it Israel. With this new state, ancient primitive superstitious ideas could be forced upon the modern world, so they gathered up the red heiffers for sacrifice at their new temple where the Dome of the Rock once stood.

Flat earth is sourced in caveman thinking, caveman did not conceive that he was walking on a spherical planet, because from his perspective the earth looked flat. Caveman did not understand the hydrological cycle, how the sun evaporated water which condensed and fell to earth as rain, so caveman imagined water above the stars in his cosmological model of the heavens. So now that we have a better understanding of how it all works, most of us do not believe in flat earth anymore but the primitive religion of blood sacrifice is unfortunately still with us.

Just a couple things that make me go Hmmmm…
The only folks who are greater known liars than those who claim the Bible was from Gods mind to mans hands, are the liars at NASA(You know, the folks who “can’t seem to find” any data and telemetry tapes from the greatest scientific feat ever accomplished in the history of mankind). Why would they have many documents written by top scientist and mathematicians based on a flat, non rotating earth? Just asking questions. The only thing I know for sure is I know nothing for sure.

Those are mathematical approximations made to simplify the calculations, acceptable in their specific context because the effect of earth curvature and earth rotation are very small compared to the rest and neglecting them still allow results good enough for their intended purpose.

There are others approximations like that. One of the documents shown consider that the rocket/missile is a single ponctual mass, with no volume at all. Does that mean that they knowingly lie about rockets having a volume and their weight not being concentrated in a single, infinitesimaly small point ?

Unlike Judaism, Christianity is a proselytizing religion, one that seeks to convert the entirety of mankind and whose process of conversion is quick and easy. On the other hand, Judaism, being the religion of one particular ethnicity, does not proselytize and is rather reluctant to accept those who spontaneously decide to convert. What’s more, your characterization of Christianity is not only wrong but the opposite of the truth. Christianity turns militantly against the state if the state diverges from it in any way, proof of which is the fact early Christians preferred death over paying homage to the Roman emperors as gods, which was essentially a pledge of allegiance and required of all imperial subjects. On top of that, Christians relentlessly engaged in proselytism whose result was to produce more deniers of imperial divinity.

What’s more, anyone who is familiar with the history of Christianity knows it’s a religion eternally at odds with the state and that this didn’t change after the conversion of the Roman Empire and the rest of Europe. The popes were engaged in centuries-long power struggles with the Byzantine emperors, the Holy Roman emperors, and just about every state in Europe. German princes embraced the so-called Reformation not because they found Martin Luther’s preposterous theology persuasive but because doing so gave them the chance to rid themselves of the pope’s pesky interference.

What all this amounts to is that yours is an utterly idiotic conspiracy theory and is the kind of thing only those who don’t care to acquire some basic knowledge about the topic would accept as true. In addition to presenting baseless speculation as fact, it’s illogical because Christianity was, in fact, far more dangerous to the status quo dominated by pagan Rome than Judaism ever was. It wasn’t by chance that Christianity converted the Roman Empire but Judaism never came close. The Protestant pseudo-churches did become as pliable and accommodating as they were meant to be, but the real Church did not, with no exception being made for the “Shining City on a Hill”, “Last Best Hope of Mankind”, etc., as Leo XIII issued a bull condemning Americanism as a heresy, an infallible teaching disgracefully ignored by most US Catholics.

By the by, Jesus fulfilled every Old Testament prophecy regarding the coming of the Messiah:

    https://www.jesusfilm.org/blog-and-stories/old-testament-prophecies.html

Jews rejected him for the simple reason that the Messiah God gave to them wasn’t what they wanted. While Jesus’ mission is to save all of mankind, they wanted a conqueror who would lead them to take the place of the Romans as masters of the known world.

    Judaism not a proselytizing religion?
”Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You traverse land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are”! (Matthew 23:15)
”Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God” (Acts 13:43).
”Hyrcanus took also Dora, and Marissa, cities of Idumea; and subdued all the Idumeans; and permitted them to stay in that country, if they would circumcise their genitals, and make use of the laws of the Jews. And they were so desirous of living in the country of their forefathers, that they submitted to the use of circumcision, and of the rest of the Jewish ways of living. At which time therefore this befell them, that they were hereafter no other than Jews” (Josephus, Ant.XIII, 9,1).
”About this time it was that Helena, queen of Adiabene; and her son Izates changed their course of life, and embraced the Jewish customs… (Josephus, War, XX, 2,1).
”And the same year Domitian slew, along with many others, Flavius Clemens the consul, although he was a cousin and had to wife Flavia Domitilla, who was also a relative of the emperor’s. The charge brought against them both was that of atheism, a charge on which many others who drifted into Jewish ways were condemned. Some of these were put to death, and the rest were at least deprived of their property. Domitilla was merely banished to Pandateria” (Dio Cassius 67, 14, 2).
In Talmudic and Midrashic sources, reference is made to a Jewish proselyte named Onkelos, described as a son of Kalonikos or Kalonymos and as a nephew of Titus.

    Did you forget the Khazars?

Maybe because it was math rather than physic ? In physic class, when students calculate the trajectory of a dropped steel ball, do they always take into account the aerodynamic drag on the ball ?

In the context of those documents, mathematics are a tool used to describe and predict physical outcomes. The mathematics themselves are exact. But some physical elements are deliberately and knowingly left out, and clearly witten down as such so that the reader is able to understand the implications of the simplifications and determine if this simplified model is good for his own purpose, or if he need something more detailled and accurate.
