SAMARKAND – The ultimate Silk Road city, set at an unrivaled Eurasian trade crossroads, is the ideal spot from which to examine where the New Silk Roads adventure is heading next. For starters, the upcoming summit of heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will take place in Samarkand in mid-September.

The ancient city dazzled Alexander the Great in 329 BC and made the Tang dynasty crazy for its golden peaches. This was a cosmopolitan hub that embraced Zoroastrian fire-worship and even flirted with Nestorian Christianity, until Arab conquerors under the banner of the Prophet arrived in 712 and changed everything forever.

In the 13th century, the Mongols irrupted on the scene with the proverbial bang. But then Timur, the Turco-Mongol conqueror who founded the Timurid Dynasty in the late 14th century, set to embellish Samarkand into a resplendent diamond, drawing artists from across his vast empire – Persia, Syria, India – to make it “less a home than a marvelous trophy.”

And yet, ever the quintessential nomad, Timur lived in swank tents and gardens on the outskirts of his urban jewel.

The Silk Road trade frenzy died down in the 16th century after the Europeans finally “discovered” their own Maritime Silk Road.

Russia conquered Samarkand in 1868. It was, briefly, the capital of the Socialist Republic of Uzbekistan before the transfer to Tashkent and then, up to 1991, mired into invisibility. Now the city is all set to revive its ancient glory, as a key hub of the Eurasian Century.

What would Timur make of all this?

“Conqueror of the World”

Timur was born in a little village outside of Samarkand, into a clan of Turkicized Mongols, only a century after the death of Genghis Khan. Hit by arrows in his right shoulder and hip when he was only 27, he got slapped with the pejorative Persian nickname Timur-i-Leme (“Timur the Lame”), later Latinized into Tamerlane.

Just like with Genghis, you wouldn’t want to pick a fight with Timur. He single-mindedly set out to become “Conqueror of the World,” and delivered in droves.

Timur defeated the Ottoman Sultan Beyazid in Ankara (don’t mention that to Turks); destroyed the Golden Horde in the Kazakh steppes; bombed Christian armies in Smyrna (today’s Izmir) with cannonballs made of severed heads.

In Baghdad in 1401 – they still remember it, vividly, as I heard it in 2003 – his soldiers killed 90,000 residents and cemented their heads in 120 towers; he ruled over all trade routes from Delhi to Damascus; he evoked poetry by Edgar Allan Poe, drama by Christopher Marlowe, opera by Vivaldi.

The zombified, woke, collective west would deride Timur as the proverbial autocrat, or a “dictator” like Vladimir Putin. Nonsense. He was Islamicized and Turkicized – but never religiously fanatic like today’s Salafi-jihadis. He was illiterate, but spoke Persian and Turkic fluently. He always showed enormous respect for scholars. This is a nomad always on the move who supervised the creation of some of the most dazzling urban architecture in the history of the world.

Every night at 9 pm, in front of the psychedelic lighting enveloping the architectural treasure of the Registan (“sandy place”), originally a bazaar in a trade crossroads, amidst the blurred conversations of countless Samarkand families, Timur’s words still resonate: “Let he who doubts our power look upon our buildings.”

Timur died in 1405 in Otrar – today in southern Kazakhstan – when he was planning the Mother of All Campaigns: the invasion of Ming China. This is one of the greatest “what ifs” in history. Would Timur have been able to Islamicize Confucianist China? Would have he made his mark just like the Mongols who are still very much present in the Russian collective unconscious?

All these questions swirl in our mind when we are face to face with Timur’s tomb – a stunning slab of black jade in the Gur-i-Mir, actually a very modest shrine, surrounded by his spiritual adviser Mir Sayid Barakah and family members such as his grandson, star astronomer Ulug Beg.

From Timur to Putin and Xi

Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin are no Timur material, of course, much less current Uzbek President Shavkat Mirzoyoyev.

What’s striking now, as I’ve seen on the ground in bustling Tashkent and then on the road to Samarkand, is how Mirzoyoyev is skillfully profiting from both Russia and China via his multi-vector policy to configure Uzbekistan as a Central Asian – and Eurasian – powerhouse by the 2030s.

The government is heavily investing in a massive Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, nearby the landmark Khast-Imam square, home to the deeply influential al-Bukhari Islamic Institute, and is also building a whole new business complex in the outskirts of Samarkand for the SCO summit.

The Americans have invested in a business center in Tashkent complete with a brand new slick Hilton attached; only a block away the Chinese are building their own version. The Chinese will also be involved in the construction of an essential New Silk Road transportation corridor: the \$5 billion Pakistan-Afghanistan-Uzbekistan Pakafuz railway, also known as Trans-Afghan Railway.

Uzbekistan has not bought into the idea – at least not yet – of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which calls for free movement of goods, people, capital and services. The country privileges its own autonomy. Russia accepts this because bilateral relations with Tashkent remain strong, and there’s no way the latter will get closer to NATO.

So from Moscow’s perspective, getting cozier with post-Islam Karimov Uzbekistan remains a must, at the same time without coercing it to join the Eurasia integration institutions. That may come in time; there’s no rush. Russia enjoys huge approval ratings in Uzbekistan – even though not as high as in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

As many as 5 million migrants from the Central Asian “stans” are working in Russia – mostly Uzbeks and Tajiks, even as they now also seek jobs in the Persian Gulf, Turkey and South Korea.

As one of its top “secured” spheres of influence, Moscow regards Central Asian states as critical partners, part of a consolidated Eurasian vision which is in total contrast with the western borderlands and the fast disintegrating Ukraine.

All roads lead to BRI

The Chinese angle, defined by its ambitious Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), is way more nuanced. For all of Central Asia, BRI equals infrastructure development and integration in global trade supply chains.

Uzbekistan, like its neighbors, linked its national development strategy to BRI under President Mirziyoyev: that’s inbuilt in the official “Strategy of Actions in Five Priority Directions of Development.” Uzbekistan is also an official member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

China’s relationship with Central Asia draws of course on the Soviet era, but also carefully takes into account territorial divisions and mind-boggling border issues.

The collapse of the USSR saw, for instance, a river, an irrigation ditch, a bunch of trees or even a roadside brutalist monument suddenly converted into external borders of new sovereign nations – with unpredictable results.

ORDER IT NOW

In the Ancient Silk Road era this made no sense. Timur conquered everything from northern India to the Black Sea. Now, it’s hard to find somebody in Tashkent to take you across the border to Turkestan via Shymkent – both now in southern Kazakhstan – and back, with minimum border hassle. Sultan Erdogan wants to bolster Turkestan’s reputation by naming it the capital of all Turkic peoples (that’s hugely debatable, but another long story).

And we’re not even talking about the hotbed of the Ferghana valley, still prone to the fanatical jihadi influence of outfits of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) kind.

All that was festering for three decades as each of these new Central Asian nations had to articulate a distinct national ideology coupled with a vision for a progressive, secular future. Under Karimov, Uzbekistan swiftly recovered Timur as its definitive national hero and heavily invested in reviving all the glory of the Timurid past. In the process, Karimov could not miss the opportunity of expertly styling himself as the modern Timur in a business suit.

Back to the geoeconomic limelight

The SCO shows how China’s approach to Central Asia is defined by two central vectors: security and the development of Xinjiang. Stronger regional states such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan deal with Beijing, as with Moscow, via their carefully calibrated multi-vector foreign policy.

Beijing’s merit has been to expertly position itself as a provider of public goods, with the SCO functioning as a top lab in terms of multilateral cooperation. This will be bolstered even more at the Samarkand summit next month.

The destiny of what is in effect Inner Eurasia – the heartland of the Heartland – is inescapable from a subtle, very complex, multilevel competition between Russia and China.

It’s crucial to remember that in his landmark 2013 speech in Nur-Sultan, then Astana, when the New Silk Roads were formally launched, Xi Jinping stressed that China stands “ready to enhance communication and coordination with Russia and all Central Asian countries to strive to build a region of harmony.”

These were not idle words. The process involves a conjunction of BRI and the SCO – which has progressively evolved into a mechanism of economic cooperation as much as security.

In the 2012 SCO summit, then Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Cheng Gouping had already been adamant: China would absolutely not allow the unrest that happened in West Asia and North Africa to happen in Central Asia.

Moscow could have said the exact same thing. The recent (failed) coup in Kazakhstan was swiftly dealt with by the six-member, Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

China is increasingly invested in using the SCO to turbo-charge a geoeconomic overdrive – even as some of its proposals, such as establishing a free trade zone and a joint SCO fund and development bank still have not materialized. That may eventually happen, as in the wake of western Russophobic sanctions hysteria the SCO – and BRI – progressively converge with the EAEU.

At every SCO summit, Beijing’s loans are gleefully accepted by Central Asian actors. Samarkand next month may herald a qualitative convergence leap: Russia and China even more involved in bringing back Inner Asia to the geoeconomic limelight.

  1. If only the US internally could break free from its emphasis on militarism and exploitation, it could regain true prosperity and respect. The hope is that China’s example will spur reforms.

  2. Arab conquerors under the banner of the Prophet arrived in 712

Volker Popp: “Hier zeigt sich deutlich, dass in der unmittelbaren Umgebung von Mekka im Jahr 58/677-8 der Prophet des heutigen Islam noch unbekannt war / here it plainly appears that a in the immediate vicinity of Mecca in the year 58/677-8 the prophet of today’s Islam still was unknown”, in: Vom Koran zum Islam, Verlag Hans Schiler, Berlin 2009, p. 143.

If there is someone who can explain to me how 30 years later an entire army was to follow the banner of a prophet so recently unknown, I’d like to hear him.

I think that a winning 2024 Republican presidential platform would include the stated intent to convince Congress to cut the budget of our CIA, State Department, and military by 10% for 4 consecutive years. Make the case with the American people that these 3 institutions are filled with fat, are grossly inefficient, and have long ago crossed the line at which they do more harm than good. Washington D.C. would go crazy, same as the national news media. But there is plenty of data to support the case of reforming these 3 institutions.

He provides information – sometimes in dribs and drabs – about Central Asian countries and regions that most of westerner didn’t know they even existed. I believe that keeping the genesis of the new world order covered with a heavy tarp is the way to go.
While the west is spending money, it does not have, in warfare, the other end of the Eurasian landmass is building an economic/financial order based on trade, peace and prosperity.
When the time comes to move the Eurasian Theatre curtain the western civilization will realize how much time they wasted.

You have a point…. But Central Asia has a very complicated history and very complicated current geopolitical context.

  8. Protogonus says: • Website

Universal geopolitics recognizes that something happened in the immediate post- war circumstances (ca. 1946-47) that fundamentally unhinged the stability of race and religion, which were being held together metaphysically by the overarching conceptual unity that had been laboriously achieved with Europe’s philosophico-idealist stable orbit around Silesia (originally named by the Romans). That something was Stalin’s wresting of Silesia away from its historical owners and their expulsion in the middle of winter—millions of civilians ended up freezing and starving on their forced march away from what is now Poland. Careful study of the historical demographics of European peoples shows that they had settled themselves around Silesia not long after the Romans (a) ejected the judaists and (b) stably consolidated the religions of the world around Palestine. The system of universal geopolitics in fact explains the phenomena inconclusively discussed by Mr. Escobar.

Unfortunately, Mr. Escobar has failed to notice the conceptual links between (1) Silesia, the once-effectual locus of rational human political-economic discourse developed before and after the Renaissance, (2) the re-emergence of religious war in Palestine (ca. 1948) and religious conflict worldwide, and (3) the re- appearance of fundamental racial disharmony worldwide after its primordial sublimation in prehistory. Clearly, destructive processes involving religion and race have been progressively worsening. Therefore, the real and fundamental, insoluble discords stubbornly underlying what Mr. Escobar perceives as a patchwork “Globalistan” certainly mean failure ahead for Russia and China in Samarkand (September 2022). This thesis of universal geopolitics, which Unz.Com readers seek to understand whether they are aware of it or not, was first presented in 2020 as a brief meta-analysis and can be found here:

    https://www.academia.edu/41985864/How_the_Human_Spirit_Died_Meta_Analysis_

The upshot is that Russia and China are forced to defend themselves against an unseen and uncomprehended enemy (the “Talmudic Monster”), whose motivations arose long ago after the aforementioned judaist ejection from Palestine. They conceived of a plan to cut the head off their perceived enemy (stabilized humanity) and rewrite all of human history in their favor by this means. The plan worked brilliantly behind the scenes until recently but now the sadistic vision of Talmudic Mendacity is crowned with a symbolic (and highly public) goal of great value to them: rebuilding the Third Temple in Jerusalem, where helpless, bellowing animals will be slaughtered in the flickering light of brimstone torches to appease Yahweh, the God of Wrath, for gleeful broadcast around the world. Are you ready for this? Is Russia and China?

Even though I agree on most or many points, I find Pepe Escobar’s lines on things seem like a desperate attempt to transpose strange old ideas (for example, the non-aligned bloc of Cold War times, which wasn’t all non-aligned) onto now.

He also tends to love extremely cruel leaders from the past. Praising Timur? Sure, he was a great military leader, but also cruel and murderous to vast excess.

I like Escobar’s writing style, but truly have come to find the always predictable content boring.

In any case, I just checked, Japan is quite strict about copyright, but the state broadcaster NHK made a very good documentary series on the Silk Road in the ’80s.

It is available, I suppose some sites must have versions with English subtitles or dubbing.

Just enter ‘NHK silk road’ in a search engine.

There was a re-trace of the route in this century.

Having seen both on TV, I can’t be bothered checking more closely. The first was more interesting than the second, and to enjoy the second, it is better if you have watched the first.

  22. What an excellent historical tour!

The west needs to understand that the New Silk Road has always been in its best interests, as the initiate has western antecedents from Alexander the Great to Lincoln American System of Economics strategy of the ‘iron horse’, railroads as infrastructure development drivers for continental unity to which President McKinley wanted to extend that belt and road up to Alaska, across the Bering Straits to connect with Asia and Europe, a plan revived by Lyndon LaRouche, to which with his wife Helga Zepp LaRouche “The New Silk Road Lady” and associates, were the architects of the New Silk Road in the 1990’s when they conceived of the BRICS as the “Survivors Club” against the collapsing western financial oligarchy.

President McKinley of course was assassinated by ‘woke” anarchist activist motivated by Emma Goldman who was an agent of the British and the house of Schiff, and thus part of the whole Soros/ BLM/Antifa operations for the British …then bringing forth the pro-British Teddy Roosevelt towards making the US an ally of the British Empire, which it was its enemy, and now idiot Nazi Biden with the Eastern Front in full hell mode to try and stop the New Silk Road.

This is why Helga Zepp LaRouche and 30 Schiller Institute Associates are on the top of the Ukraine/NATO/State Department hit list, which includes Diane Sare running for U.S. Senate against Chuck “the bomb thrower” Schumer.

Trump was attacked and is attacked, because he represents that historical link, having been the first President to mention the American System of Economics since McKinley, and where the issue was to prevent a Trump Xi Putin Summit could produce the “DEAL” of all History! Where by America joins the Belt and Road/New Silk Road connecting to U.S. Manifest Destiny with Bering Sea Tunnel being the golden spike to nail the whole thing together.

Notice must go out to the Former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel, who pushed for this land bridge between North America and Asia as Presidential Candidate, and who was a principled antiwar peace advocate and who took part in LaRouche Schiller Institute Events.

Trump would have signed the DEAL and the British, Davos, and Democrat and Republican Deep State knew this!

It‘s because the timeline is entirely made up and the history of arab origins is entirely made up as well in order to establish a narrative that makes it possible for the Western powers to reign the arab countries. When Gordon died in Karthoum there was no established version of Koran (dozens of versions circulated). The British initiated the project that put together the unified version of Koran that you see today. This was done in Cairo before World War One and it was rolled out throughout the Empire.

Trump defeated the GOP and DemoKKKrat party and still represents the capability to win election again and then move for a Peace Deal around America’s entry into the New Silk Road/Belt and Road initiative that would make America Great again.

A plan for a National Infrastructure Bank is proceeding on grass roots levels in many American States, and Steve Bannon just called for the jettison of the Federal Reserve, and thus a Bering Sea Tunnel project would be so financed by new greenbacks that would be tied to a Parity Dollar, 7 USC Sec 602 and were NAWAPA would be part of the mass infrastructure project.

Democrats base can be disconnected from the woke suicide faction especially there is an opportunity to have a new populist to emerge in Democrat Party spheres who is not a cuck like Bernie Sanders, but someone who might understand that an FDR/Kennedy tradition can be revived to speak to the forgotten man and rebuild the cities, rather than “burn baby burn” drug pushing

Now for you and other ignorant like you it should be told that the third caliph of Islam named Osman was assassinated by his opponents while he was reciting Quran and it was his blood on the page/s he was reading. We dont know but that is one version.

While at it, the FBI should simply be abolished. It primarily exists to enhance its bureaucratic powers by deliberately creating criminals, as exemplified by its Behavioral Analysis Unit located in Quantico, Virginia and the numerous public instances where its agents have carefully convinced various “targets” to engage in criminally indictable actions…actions which they very doubtfully would have engaged in totally on their own volition.

Currently, the foofaraw over their “invasion” of Trump’s mansion has once again divided Americans and created situations where the general public is becoming increasingly aware of their politicized perfidy and partisanship.

Ever since the self-hating drag-quean, J. Edna Hoover, with his blackmail files on practically anyone in a position of responsibility; his agency has continued to metastasize into a combination of corruptive actions, ultimately destructive to our ruptured republic.

German researchers/writers and some French have explored the many dimensions of how this happened.

    Right now, we are reading:

NATO is expanding up to Russia’s border and the war in Ukraine is escalating as the US-UK-NATO continue to ship weapons to Kiev. At the same time NATO is expanding into the Asia-Pacific region closing the military circle around Beijing.

Escobar alluded to Timur’s bloody conquests which pillaged whole swaths of Eurasia. But he wasn’t praising Timur who left his legacy in Samarkand, which served as the ‘Paris’ of Central Asia during its heyday. That once glorious City turned medieval backwater could turn around and see its fortunes come back after China’s BRI make its way to Central Asia, which is what Escobar’s historical context is all about.

You may be right up to a point that Islam attracts marginalized and disadvantaged. Look in India. The treatment of untouchables by Indian Govt and their superstar Gandhi. As a escape these untouchable convert in droves to Islam or Christianity (mostly Islam) just for equal rights. BTW Muslim is not a religion. Islam is. Muslim could be of any nationality/ethnicity. For instance the 2nd largest population in Russia is of Muslims. Are you suggesting Russians have low IQ.

Speaking of the BS about IQ.Who came up with IQ but you will hoards of blind followers. Einstein had low IQ and dumb as stone (his name says is) in Math, differential equations etc. But propagandist use it as a badge of honor to brag. He had low IQ and was very poor in Math (all true) but look he turned out to be super genius (very untrue). Would you you put faith in IQ BS.

You dont understand the word poverty, despair, manipulation of poor by few super rich, hopelessness. Republic of Congo is the richest country in the world for its natural resources but has the poorest population. Manipulation, extortion, blackmail, use of force, you know what I am talking about. Read the NYTimes best seller John Perkins book. The culprits for all these US, UK, France and the rest of colonialists. How on earth the so called Great Britain would exist without i migrants an imports for example.
All those countries you mentioned with low literacy and social problems fit the bill of corruption and despair. It is a matter of survival.

Ask yourself and those A..Hol a simple question, if IQ is related to ethnicity, or religion. Then why the migrants kids shine in academic and science in US or Western countries. A very simple example is the so called spelling bee contest. Can you name any Jewish kid as a winner of spelling Bee contest in past few decades (after the influx of Indian/Pakistanis, Chinese in 60s and later on). You simply are brain washed to believe that Jews are the smartest.

  56. @René Fries

If there is someone who can explain to me how 30 years later an entire army was to follow the banner of a prophet so recently unknown, I’d like to hear him.

Islam calls the Arabs before Islam as from the era of ignorance. The Arabs were using the Jewish Ethos. Not the Christian Ethos. Pedophilia, murdering, raping, stealing, slavery, eating livers, burning alive, torturing, basically the everyday Jewish Ethos. The Arab masses were controlled by the rich Arab businessmen, who were controlled by the Jewish Tribes living in Medina on the Highlands and surrounding areas. Mecca was a money minting city, which allowed the masses to worship whatever gods or idols they wanted to worship. Doors were opened in the morning with a hefty entrance fee and were then closed in the evenings, leaving only the natives of Mecca inside with 20+ houses. The majority used to come to worship, there were some who used to come and preach but this was an expansive endeavor for them. Tribes used to come to negotiate peace with each other as no arms were allowed in Mecca. If the tribes wanted Meccans to mediate between them, then the charges were higher. Abu Sufyan (Omayyad) the Sheikh of Omayyad tribe was very rich and enjoying his life under the Jewish Ethos.

Prophet Mohammad was a native of Mecca and he started to preach One God, which is ilah in Arabic or eloh in Hebrew. al ilah (allah) means, The God. He had an advantage on the other preachers, as he was living within the four walls of Mecca, so he didn’t have to pay the daily hefty entrance fee. Abu Sufyan ignored him in the beginning, but then he started to be an headache for Abu Sufyan. Things got bad and Mohammad became a threat to Abu Sufyan riches. At age fifty two Mohammad had to sneak out during the night for Median as his life was threatened. While he was still in Mecca, he sent his few followers to a Christian King and requested protection for them. A goodwill gesture from the Christian King.

Mohammad found followers in Medina who were living in Lowlands. He negotiated a treaty with the Jews called The Treaty (Constitution) of Medina, giving everyone equal rights. Thomas Jefferson was very much impressed with this treaty. Mohammad died at the age of sixty two, he lived ten plus years in Medina. Of course, the Jews were putting a knife in his back by getting Abu Sufyan to make battles against Mohammad and his adherents as the Jews were threatened by “equal rights”. In his last ten years in Medina, Abu Sufyan fought seven or eight battles coming from Mecca against Mohammad and lost every time. Mohammad followers kept on increasing so in the end, he made the Jews to leave Arabia and basically walked into Mecca with his followers making war drums noises. Abu Sufyan handed him the keys to Mecca and the Prophet then destroyed all the idols. Abu Sufyan and his sons accepted Islam.

Mohammad was preaching the good Christian Ethos. On his death, while his body was still warm and not buried yet, Abu Sufyan with the help of Jews who had converted to Islam, hijacked Islam. The first three Caliphs burned all the knowledge left by the Prophet. Burned all copies of Quran and all the Hadiths. Alongside the good Christian Ethos the Jewish Ethos were slowly, slowly reintroduced. The Caliphs started to spread Islam by SWORD and they put a knife in the back of Christians. The fifth Caliph Muawiya was the son of Abu Sufyan, the Caliphate has become now Empire under the Emperor Muawiya, the Empire of Banu Omayyad.

On his death Muawiya left his son Yazid the second Emperor of Banu Omayyad, the grandson of Abu Sufyan. Yazid committed war crimes against the whole family of the Prophet, as he annihilated all of them, but very few. When the massacred head of grandson of Mohammad was presented to Yazid, he started to hit his head with a stick, saying your grandfather took Mecca from us, but he left us an Empire. Good new ahead as there is renaissance taking place in Islam. A year old video of MBS where he is disowning Wahhabism and disowning the vast body of the Hadiths (the Sunnah and the Sharia). 70. I am not sure where is Pepe going with Timur. Gone are the days spreading religion by SWORD. It is like Saladin who by SWORD converted the whole Egypt from Shia to Sunni. The Al-Azhar University and Al-Azhar Mosque was build by Shai. And, they named both the University and Mosque after the name of the beloved daughter of the Prophet named, Fatima Al-Zahra. Azhar is the masculine noun of feminine noun Zahra.

The Al-Azhar University “the University of (the honorable) Al-Azhar”) is a public university in Cairo, Egypt. Associated with Al-Azhar Mosque in Islamic Cairo, it is Egypt’s oldest degree-granting university – and the world’s second oldest degree granting university – and is renowned as the most prestigious university for Islamic learning. In addition to higher education, Al-Azhar oversees a national network of schools with approximately two million students. As of 1996, over 4,000 teaching institutes in Egypt were affiliated with the university.

Founded in 970 or 972 by the Fatimid Caliphate as a center of Islamic learning, its students studied the Qur’an and Islamic law in detail, along with logic, grammar, rhetoric, and how to calculate the phases of the moon. Today it is the chief center of Arabic literature and Islamic learning in the world. In 1961 additional non-religious subjects were added to its curriculum.

Zahra means honorable and her husband Ali name means honorable. The Highest Honorable is God. Son of Fatima Al-Zahra and Ali named Husayn.

It was on this occasion that the head of Husayn was allegedly brought from Syria to Cairo, where it was housed in what is now the al-Hussein Mosque.

  71. For all who read my posts:

Brazilian Pepe Escobar picks and chooses lines from history that fit his narratives.

So, please take a grain of salt when reading Brazilian Pepe Escobar who promotes Islam in every given opportunity!

Timur the Lame was a blood-thirsty Muslim mass-murderer — I would say, a Muslim cannibal — who initiated many blood-curdling military adventures in Islamic style of looting other countries’ wealth, enslaving non-believers of Islam, selling females of all ages into sexual-slavery and who was notoriously known in history for making “Pyramids” out of beheaded human-skulls.

Brazilian Pepe Escobar will not tell you the real Timur the Lame.

Timur the Lame came on world-stage long after Pagan war-lords Genghis Haan and his grand-son Hulegu Haan were gone, who were responsible for halting the progression of Islam and Islamic empire-building in the 13th century A.D. by mercilessly massacring nearly 15 million Muslims at their time.

Genghis Haan was a worshiper of God (or Goddess) Tengri whereas his grand-son Hulegu Haan became a Buddhist in later part of his life, but Hulegu Haan’s wife Princess Doquz Khatun remained a Christian throughout her life.

During his military rampage of Indian subcontinent, Timur the Lame took Indian masons as prisoners to build Indian-style architecture in Samarqand in late 14th century A.D.

Pagan temples such as Tejo Mahalaya (aka “Taj Mahal”) were built by Indian masons in late 13th century A.D.

My dear sister, I love your good intentions and goodwill. Let’s bygone be bygone. However, you supported very heavily the Pakistani Wahhabi who claimed that Mohammad, according to Authenticated Bukhari, Authenticated Muslim and other Authenticated Book of Hadiths, married a six years old child. I mentioned and still hold that the Islamic History and Islamic Hadiths are FAKE and DUBIOUS, which is now confirmed by KSA trough their Crown Prince MBS.

I quoted from the Quran, that God calls her a liar, an evil who is destined for hell. If you read the Hadiths, she is the one claiming that Mohammad married her when she was six. All her Hadiths are Ahad (lone) narration Hadiths, which MBS in the video has explained very clearly. Not only her own Hadiths are Ahad Hadiths, but she is not quoting Mohammad, she is just singing her own songs, like her own Ahad Hadiths when she lost her necklace twice, not once but twice. The Satanic Verses and The Jewel of Medina are based on her FAKE dubious Hadiths.

They still believe in 6 millions (even though in Auschwitz and Israeli Holocaust museum the figures have been lowered) but these guys are still parroting the old figures.
They are lazy to learn that Islam is a religion and not an ethnicity. Chinese Muslims are not Arabs. And 49% or so (give and take) or Palestinians are Christians (the most radical faction of PLO leader George Habash was a Christians, but always presented as Muslim. The Jews in Morocco or Iran dont want to go to Israel (my personal dialogues). They believe Reagan who use to say that Vietnam war was Noble Cause.

The Hadiths classification of the majority of Muslims, the Six Authenticated Hadiths of Books is based on Authenticated, Good, and Bad. The Hadiths are considered Word of Allah (Sunnah and Sharia) through Mohammad. The classification concept is based on the Adalah of the Sahabah (Justice of Companions). There are about 120,000 to 140,000 companions. A companion is defined that someone who has seen Mohammad, no matter how briefly, even seconds is a companion. The Justice of Companions is based upon when a companion directly quotes Mohammad, he/she will never lie, even though the Quran calls some of the Companions as hypocrites, liars, murders, destined for hell and so forth. Quran never mentions names of the Companions, only one Companion is mentioned by name in the Quran in a positive manner. He is Mohammad’s adopted son of a slave, named Zaid.

The minority of Muslims (read Shia) classify their Hadiths differently based on Ahad (lone) narrator Hadiths or Mutawatir (a group of ten or more from Mohammad, to group, to group, to group) narrators Hadiths. As explained by MBS the Mutawatir Hadiths are very few Hadiths and are accepted by ALL Muslims. Now it seems that KSA is adopting the minority of Muslims’ classification of Hadiths. A renaissance within Islam!

So, please take a grain of salt when reading Brazilian Pepe Escobar who promotes Islam in every given opportunity!

Pepe is a good god fearing person. I wish Pepe write something on Mohammad and Abu Sufyan as Mohammad’s all endeavors were against Abu Sufyan, who was controlled by the rich Jewish Tribes living in Medina on the Highlands and the surrounding areas. Pepe is very resourceful.

Both Mohammad and Abu Sufyan belonged to the same tribe of Quraysh. So they were from one another. Mohammad belonged to a sub-tribe called, Banu Hashim, a smaller tribe. His grandfather was the Sheikh of the tribe. On his grandfather’s death Mohammad was taken in the care of his uncle Abu Talib who become the Sheikh of Banu Hashim. Mohammad was raised as a Prince. Abu Talib was the father of Ali. In return from childhood Ali was raised by Mohammad and married his only daughter Fatima. The Banu Hashim believed in the Creed of Abraham (Milat Ibrahim). Most of the Banu Hashim sided with Mohammad preaching, “One God”.

Abu Sufyan was from the sub-tribe called, Banu Omayyad, who owned Mecca. He was the Sheik of Banu Omayyad, an extremely powerful and rich tribe which was controlled by the Jews. Mohammad lived for 62+ years, 52 years in Mecca, and his last 10+ years in Medina. In the last three years of his life in Mecca, he was in house arrest with his family and Ali, under the protection of Ali’s father. Eventually, Mohammad left Ali in his bed at night and sneaked for Medina. The Banu Omayyad didn’t join Islam at first but in the end they slowly, slowly accepted Islam. Abu Sufyan while handing the keys for Mecca accepted Islam with his sons.

Mohammad united the different tribes while in Medina by marrying from different tribes as per the Arab custom. He even married Umm Habiba, the daughter of Abu Sufyan.

My dear Chap you are 1300 years behind in your history. The project was completed by the 3rd Caliph Osman 1400 years ago.

In short, all that Muslim history boils down to some “Konstruktionsprozesse” sucked out of some – probably unclean – thumb.

Your “Caliph Osman” at any rate, was as much a non-existing Nobody as was the so-called “rasul/nabi Muhammad”.

    Both Mohammad and Abu Sufyan

have had the uppermost privilege of having never existed.

Mohammad united the different tribes while in Medina by marrying from different tribes as per the Arab custom. He even married Umm Habiba, the daughter of Abu Sufyan

    – now it remains for you to tell me how a non-existing Nobody can marry non-existing wives.

Complete BS. Each and every hadith is pure invention, as is the life of “Muhammad” and “Zaid” and “Ali” etc.

You may click my name and scroll down if you are interested in History (instead of fiction), as I repeatedly have written about “Muhammad” already.

I am going to give you two tests of Mohammad’s living miracles, to see if you pass? BTW, the other Prophets miracle happened in a point in time, witnessed by few. Mohammad’s two miracles are living till judgement day.

    1. Shia scholars either wear black or white turban, the shape being the same, and their status doesn’t matter, how high up the ladder. Why are black turban are called, “Sayyid” and while turban are called, “Sheikh”? Hint: The Quran chapter 108 called, “Al-Kawthar” meaning Abundance, is in reference to a certain individual.

    2. There is Old Arabic, Classical Arabic and Modern Arabic. What are the differences in these three types of Arabic? In which document, the Classical Arabic is used and taught from? Hint: almost 100% of the Arabs cannot write Classical Arabic. The Classical Arabic is taught to Arabic Linguistic students in the Colleges and the Universities and only these few students (individuals) know how to write in the Classical Arabic, which is used in official documents. They like everyone else on a daily basis write in Old Arabic or Modern Arabic.
