Both of America’s great national parties are coalitions.

But it is the Democratic Party that never ceases to celebrate diversity — racial, religious, ethnic, cultural — as its own and as America’s “greatest strength.”

Understandably so, for the party is home to a multitude of minorities.

It is the domain of the LGBTQ movement. In presidential elections, Democrats win 70 percent of Hispanics, Jews and Asian-Americans, and 90 percent of African-Americans.

Yet, lately, the party seems to be careening into a virtual war of all against all.

Democratic Governor Ralph Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring of Virginia have both admitted to using blackface.

Northam imitated Michael Jackson’s “moonwalk” in a 1984 dance contest. Herring, in 1980 at the University of Virginia, did a blackface impression of rap icon Kurtis Blow, who called it ugly and degrading.

The resignations of both have been demanded by Virginia’s black leadership. Northam and Herring, however, are defying the demands.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, only the second black ever to win statewide office, has been charged by two women with rape. And the demands for his resignation are growing louder and most insistent.

Yet if Fairfax is forced out, while the white governor and white attorney general get a pass, black leaders warn, all hell is going to bust loose.

The Democratic Party of Virginia was already convulsed over all the monuments, statues, schools, parks, highways and streets that bear the names of slave owners, Confederate soldiers and 19th- and 20th-century segregationists.

Across the Potomac, Ilhan Omar, the first ever Somali-American to serve in Congress, and a Muslim, ignited a firestorm last week when she gave this as the reason Congress faithfully votes the AIPAC line on Israel: “It’s all about the Benjamins, baby.”

The reference is to $100 bills, on which Ben Franklin’s face appears. The line is a rap lyric from a 1997 song by Puff Daddy.

Omar was saying Congress has been bought.

The House Democratic leadership demanded and got an apology from Omar for her use of an “anti-Semitic trope.”

But Omar now his company in the House. Palestinian-American Rep. Rashida Tlaib, also a Muslim, shares and airs her views on Israel.

The problem for Democrats?

These provocateurs are magnets for media. They speak for a rising minority in the party that regards Israel as an apartheid state that oppresses Palestinians. And they find an echo among millennials on the party’s socialist left.

As Thursday’s Washington Post headlined, this Omar flap “could forecast a Democratic divide on Israel.”

Indeed, it may have already done so.

When Senate Republicans proposed legislation to allow states to refuse to hire individuals or contractors who support the BDS movement to boycott Israel, Senators Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders all voted no.

The four say they are supporting freedom of speech to condemn Israeli policy. But to others it looks like a progressive Democratic blessing for those urging that Israel be treated the same way Ian Smith’s Rhodesia and apartheid South Africa were treated.

Within the Democratic coalition, Asian-Americans are now in conflict with blacks and Hispanics over admission policies at elite schools and universities.

Asian-Americans are “overrepresented” where students are admitted based on test scores or entrance exams. Black and Hispanic leaders are demanding that student bodies, regardless of test scores, look like the community. And if this requires affirmative action based upon race and ethnicity, so be it.

The LBGTQ community is now in court demanding all the rights and protections of the civil rights laws of the ’60s. This will bring gay groups into constant collisions with religious communities that adhere to traditional moral views on homosexuality.

The minorities of color in the Democratic coalition are growing, as the base of the GOP is aging and shrinking. But these minorities are also becoming more rivalrous, competitive and demanding. And the further they move left, they more they move outside the American mainstream.

The pledge of allegiance this writer recited every day of school, reads: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Today, the antifa left desecrates the flag, as liberals praise NFL players who “take a knee” during the national anthem. Militant migrants march under Mexican flags to protest border security policies. The “republic” has been replaced by “our democracy.”

We are no longer “one nation … indivisible” We have almost ceased talking to one another. As for “under God,” added in 1954, Democrats at their Charlotte Convention sought to have God excised from the party platform.

“Liberty” has been supplanted by diversity, “justice” by equality.

But as Revolutionary France, Stalin’s USSR, Mao’s China, Castro’s Cuba and Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela proved, regimes that promise utopian and egalitarian societies inevitably reveal themselves to be undertakers of freedom, America’s cause.

Venezuela under Chavez and his successor has always been mostly capitalist. The Venezuelan socialists just wanted economic justice for the Venezuealan poor. Most of their economic problems are the result of the American blockade and theft of their assets. Maduro’s American appointed successor continues to have immunity in Venezuela. I don’t however expect Pat to know the difference.

I pretty much despise Omar but she is correct in saying that AIPAC owns the U.S. Congress. But Omar is speaking as a Muslim, not an American, and she just wants to make Congress Muslim occupied territory.

Diversity is killing the Republican party more than the Democrats. The sorry state of the California GOP is a grim portent of what awaits them in the rest of the nation as the third world invasion which they wholeheartedly supported continues. Third world Americans are not becoming dittoheads.

At this point we need to start working on a partition plan as the (((Democrat party))) platform is all about hatred of whites and traditional America and they continue to get more radical each year.

  9. Pat Buchanan shouldn’t bother with harping on partisan politics when both Republicans and Democrats push mass legal immigration, illegal immigration and amnesty for illegal alien invaders.

The JEW/WASP ruling class of the American Empire controls both the Republican Party and the Democrat Party and the European Christian ancestral core of the United States has no say in how things are run.

Trump and the Republicans and the Democrats are bought and paid for by Jew billionaires such as Ham Saban, Shelly Adelson, Norman Braman, Paul Singer and others.

Trump pushes nation-wrecking mass legal immigration and Trump will not deport the upwards of 30 million illegal alien invaders in the USA.

The only thing holding the American Empire together is Central Banker Shysterism from the privately-controlled Federal Reserve Bank.

The JEW/WASP ruling class has signalled that 2.40 percent on the federal funds rate is all the asset bubbles can take before they implode.

We don’t have an economy. We have asset bubbles in stocks, bonds, real estate and other things.

Excellent comment, although I think Zionist Jews are in ascendance while WASPS have essentially become their boot lickers. I saw a video last night about Marco Rubio’s shocking anti-BDS resolution passed by Congress, virtually outlawing any speech questioning Israeli policy as anti-Semitic speech, even if it’s totally documented. I’m no lawyer, but I don’t understand how it could not be in violation of the First Amendment. One wonder how much longer people questioning anything to do with the Jewish state will be allowed to post their videos on YouTube, or raise money via PayPal, Patreon, etc.

Indeed, and maybe I’m becoming paranoid, the NSA can monitor everything we write on the Internet, and knows all of our IP addresses. Under this legislation, who knows when they might decide to come for us.

Pat thinks the Dems are in disarray, but I think the GOP is worse off. Look at Congress. The GOP is 100% AIPAC-controlled territory, while it badly lost the 2018 mid-terms. Could there be a connection? At least a few of the newly elected Dems are not afraid to speak out in support of the Palestinians. And, as Pat said, there are a growing number of millennials who agree with them. Israel-firsters Mike Pompeo and John Bolton are existential threats to the world, while pipsqueaks AOC and Omar don’t even register.

  14. Democratic coalition members can squabble over pecking order so long as they are united in their hatred of white men. But criticism of Israel will not be tolerated.

The GOP failed to protect the establishment when it allowed Trump to be nominated. The Democrats did whatever they had to do to deliver their nomination to Hillary. In the next presidential election, if there is one, the DNC will finally lose control of the nomination process. Both parties have the same problem. They are the same. They are corrupt. And they have been in power too long.

I say give us Trump/Palin vs. AOC/Beeto and leave the old D&R uniparty behind.

Freedom is so often twisted into destructive individualism. The Christian, communitarian, identitarian, and agrarian culture and society of the Old South couldn’t have been more opposed to transnational global capitalism. Thomas Jefferson exalted the yeoman farmer and opposed merchants, bankers, and manufacturers. Economic individualism has destroyed our families, communities, and race in the name of cheap labor and corporate profits. And the working class is left ever further behind in our increasingly borderless, globalized, and knowledge-based economy.

If Americans really valued freedom they wouldn’t have destroyed and burnt down the South when it wanted independence. “One nation … indivisible” is just another way to describe an empire.

We were never one nation and we certainly aren’t one now. Almost every show, movie, and news article insults, mocks, and attacks white Christians. We openly celebrate the destruction and replacement of white Americans. I hope Buchanan is right and America fragments like many diverse empires. Maybe something better can be born.

  18. A still-disputed aspect of the attack on Smollett is a line shouted after his attackers fled the scene: “This is MAGA country.” While its veracity isn’t confirmed, its sentiment needs no fact-check. America’s choice to embrace the blind rage of late-stage whiteness in decline is an explicit longing for this kind of crime, a version of America in which those who do not assimilate to the satisfaction of their white, straight, and Christian betters are subject to the impunity of law enforcement, the scorn of the media and the fury of racist homophobes stalking the streets of your city, who want you to know that they could lynch you if they really wanted to, and maybe get away with it too.

So if the alleged hate crime didn’t happen at all or if it was a staged hate hoax attack is beside the point. White deplorables still wished such an attack would happen, which is now just as damnable as if an attack had actually occurred.

All credit to Stephen Steinlight, who foresaw the peril in 2001:

‘Far more potentially perilous, does it matter to Jews—and for American support for Israel when the Jewish State arguably faces existential peril—that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the United States? That undoubtedly at some point in the next 20 years Muslims will outnumber Jews, and that Muslims with an “Islamic agenda” are growing active politically through a widespread network of national organizations?’

A mere eight years earlier, dopey Jewish activist Earl Raab had been unable to contain his glee at the browning of America [here, p246]:

‘The Census Bureau has just reported that about half of the American population will soon be non-white or non-European. We have tipped beyond the point where a Nazi-Aryan party will be able to prevail in this country. We [Jews] have been nourishing the American climate of opposition to bigotry for about half a century.’

Congress is Jewish occupied territory yet they only comprise around 9% of the Senate and perhaps 8% of the House. Their influence is highly disproportionate to either their percentages in the general population or their representation on the legislature.

Likewise, Muslims will never comprise a majority in Congress but they would like it do be more dominated by Muslim interests, concerns and causes. Duh.

  23. The Democrats turned Virginia Blue. Problem is, down south, from say, Fredericksburg South and out to the Western-most part of the state, it’s pretty Redneck. Folks drawn from that region have lots of indifference to Democrat PC mores about Blacks, homos and trannies. The only brake on that is the universities, but there are many Blackface violators to be flushed. Virginia will be a long time, if ever, catching up with the heavily-populated and ultra-Correct Northern Virginia. And every now and then, they’re going to have this with down South-raised Governors and others. Inevitable.

Interesting that in the Scrotum Pole of Privilege, a raping Black man rates higher than 2 Black feminists who accused him, one of forced oral sex, the other of an outright, garden-variety rape. One of the women is a Doc, the other a professor somewhere. Both have corroborating witnesses to their telling of the tale. But these broads never go to the cops. There he sits, even after he raged at the accusation in front of witnesses and exclaimed, “Fuck that bitch!”. Reminded me of Marion Barry’s “Bitch set me up” when he got arrested for smoking crack. Now they can face-rape a chick and walk. The women have shut up and the Washington Post just kind of lost the entire story. Black folks have a different way of handling their intra-racial rape, heh..

Everyone is free to trade with Cuba, but it comes with the same threat that trading with any of the enemies of the US comes with.

Namely that the US will slap that offending nation with brutal trade sanctions that will cause an economy to crash, confiscate their overseas assets, be it gold, cash or buildings while also hitting government members or private citizens with warrants thus effectively isolating the nation until it submits and comply with all future demands just as it has done before.

In fact, just look at how the US recently decided to act like a bull in china shop by threatening to sanction any corporations or nations that dares to trade with Iran, along with the threats of trade sanctions against allied European nations if they continue with their plans to build a gas pipeline with Russia.

Big, big, big mistake : brown skins and brown shirts can go together far better than you imagine. Browns nearly all consider themselves as imperfect, diluted Whites looking for a supernatural, perfectly white führer to protect them against both black thugs and the white traitors helping the former. Just have a look on India, and also Brazil. In Quebec immigrants tend to side with the fascist Orangist Anglo identity movements against the rather socialist and Sweden-aping local francophone nationalists. Browns often come from cultures far more antisemitic than Nazi Germany ever was. Jews resorting to malevolence against their host country always end up building themselves the very future totalitarian system about to make them meet their fate. Actually the Jews’ last allies in America will be blond security guards protecting them from a brown populace without anything in common but a religious hatred for the eternal Jew. Alas it will be too late as these guards will be a minority.

Yep, we’re looking at a total loss of legitimacy by the Federal Government (FG). This Trump immigration affair might be the historical landmark, but the process goes far beyond immigration.

Couldn’t happen, but neither could the dissolution of the USSR.

Apparently a Constitutional Convention is being seriously discussed. I can see that working as a forum for partition, but not as a forum for unification. An attempt to transform the FG into an open dictatorship would simply not be accepted, any more than would an attempt to transform the FG into a representative republic.

We now have a hybrid industrial economy / political economy. The economy will have to go either full industrial or full political. “Full industrial” because funds to maintain and improve the infrastructure are being given to the political economy (e.g. PG&E being sued re: fires rather than getting more money (from customers) for fire prevention). “Full political” because most of the Democratic Coalition can’t live in an industrial society.
BTW, that is the true meaning of “whiteness”, the ability to live in an industrial society. That’s why Han Chinese are often treated statistically as whites. The “down with Whiteness” bit is just white supremacy, with the conclusions reversed: whites are superior, therefore they are bad.

Irreconcilable differences. Whites can’t live without an industrial society, Democrats (and a fair number of Republicans) can’t live with an industrial society. Something’s got to give.
