While all facts are true, not all facts are relevant.

And what are the relevant facts in this crisis where 100,000 Russian troops are now stationed along the Ukrainian border?

Fact one: There is not now and never has been a vital U.S. interest in Ukraine to justify risking a war with Russia.

History tells us that. Even as Ukraine was suffering in the Stalin-induced Holodomor, the terror-famine of 1932-33, President Franklin Roosevelt granted diplomatic recognition to the Bolshevik regime.

During four decades of Cold War, the U.S. never regarded Moscow’s control of Ukraine as any threat to the USA.

President Joe Biden was thus right to rule out military action in response to any Russian incursion or invasion of Ukraine.

Moreover, as it is declared U.S. policy not to retaliate militarily to an invasion of Ukraine, Biden should make it clear that Ukrainian membership in NATO is a closed question.

Not going to happen.

Ukraine is not going to be invited to join NATO and be given Article 5 U.S. war guarantees that are the primary benefit of membership.

Hence, with U.S. negotiations with Moscow over Ukraine impending, what is the state of play?

Russia is demanding that the U.S. give formal assurances that Ukraine and Georgia will never be admitted to NATO, and no nation bordering Russia will ever accept offensive NATO weapons that could imperil Russia’s security.

If Moscow cannot get such assurances that Ukraine will never become a member of NATO, Russian President Vladimir Putin warns, Russia may invade and occupy Ukraine to neutralize that threat.

The U.S. position?

While we will not resist Russia militarily, the most severe sanctions in history will be imposed on Russia, possibly including cancellation of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia to Germany.

Putin has lately issued a counterthreat.

If such severe sanctions are imposed on Russia, this will result in a “complete rupture of relations” and be a blunder “which our descendants will later appreciate as a huge one.”

Not long ago, a total severing of relations was the prelude to war.

While Putin and Russia initiated this crisis with the deployment of 100,000 troops to Ukraine’s borders, we should try to see this crisis through Putin’s eyes.

The heart of Greater Russia as one ethnic, cultural and historic nation consists not only of Russia but also of Belarus and Ukraine.

Yet, consider the political condition of that core nation today.

Ukraine has broken from Moscow and seeks its future in the West, the EU and NATO.

Belarus, a nation of 10 million, just went through an election where only fraud guaranteed victory for its 67-year-old autocrat, Alexander Lukashenko, who has ruled Belarus for a quarter-century.

Though an ally of Putin, Lukashenko is not the future.

And Putin himself, while popular, has been in power for two decades and is bedeviled by rising democratic resistance in Russia.

Now the Americans — who have, in a quarter-century, moved NATO across Germany into Eastern Europe and the Baltic states — are planning to bring into an alliance established to contain Russia the former Soviet republics of Georgia and Ukraine.

Putin has to see himself as the ruler of a diminishing Russia, not a rising power.

Time is not on Russia’s side or Putin’s side.

His principal ally, China, has 10 times the population of Russia and an economy 10 times Putin’s. Moreover, China harbors ancestral claims to Russian territory in the Far East, which, in 1969, caused a border clash between the two countries.

Putin has decided that the long retreat of Russian power must end, that the eastward march of a NATO alliance created to contain and resist Russia must end, and if this means risking war over Ukraine, so be it.

Putin may see this as a now-or-never moment to halt the decades-long attrition of Russian territorial and national power.

And the U.S.?

ORDER IT NOW

In the Cold War, President Dwight Eisenhower did not intervene militarily to save the Hungarian rebels who rose against Moscow in 1956. Nor did President John F. Kennedy act to stop the building of the Berlin Wall in 1961. Nor did President Lyndon B. Johnson intervene to prevent Moscow’s crushing of the “Prague Spring” in 1968. Nor did President Ronald Reagan act when Solidarity was crushed in Poland in 1981.

Historically, those presidents who refused to use force in Central or Eastern Europe, to avoid a war with Russia where U.S. vital interests were not imperiled, were proven right.

Time was on America’s side in the Cold War. And, with Russia, time is still on America’s side.

Our great challenge in the 21st century is not Russia.

Indeed, in the long term, we want Russia on our side in the long struggle between the U.S. and the West, and Communist China.

What the U.S. should do in this Ukrainian crisis is to avoid a war with Russia, avoid an escalation, and leave our adversary with an honorable avenue of retreat. Again, with Russia, time is on our side.

  1. “…and leave our adversary with an honorable avenue of retreat.”
So — no war, no escalation — but no agreement either it seems. Throw the dog a bone & let it wander away — honourably ?
Would have thought we were a bit beyond that kind of tokenism.
But given PB’s view that —
“Putin has to see himself as the ruler of a diminishing Russia, not a rising power.”
    it’s hardly surprising.

  2. Anon[257] • Disclaimer says:

Maybe this is a relevant fact, bearing in mind it’s the premise with which you open your article?
KIEV, December 30. /TASS/. Ukraine sees neither any great danger on the country’s borders nor aggression from Russia, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Alexey Danilov said at a briefing on Thursday.

“We don’t see any great danger on our borders at the moment,” he pointed out, adding that no large presence of foreign troops had been detected on the border.

According to Danilov, the situation on the border with Russia is not alarming. “So far, we don’t see any threat of outright aggression from Russia,” he stressed.

  3. Levtraro says:

Fact one: There is not now and never has been a vital U.S. interest in Ukraine to justify risking a war with Russia.

Well, the Ukraine is the only large White country in the world where jews are top dogs (France might become another one) and that is very important for Anglos, so defending the Ukraine might be a vital U.S. interest.

President Joe Biden was thus right to rule out military action in response to any Russian incursion or invasion of Ukraine.

This just means that while lovely jews are very dear to Anglos, really close to their hearts, Anglos will not risk destruction of their homes in Britain and the USA for them beloved yahveh-chosen peoples.

  4. roonaldo says:

The U.S, rather than Russia, is the diminishing power–economically, socially, and spiritually, as the tyrranical covid policies and the destructive woke agendas wreak their havoc. And the corrupt European governments have hitched their wagons to the impending train wreck.

Mr. Buchanan can’t see it, but there is a strength in the Russian peoples and they have a leader determined to continue improving their living conditions in spite of unrelenting hostility from the West.

Nordstream 2 is small potatoes in Russia’s overall energy trade, but would be a significant boon for European consumers, who are being betrayed by their cynical, elite overlords. Russia is strengthened by its accelerating economic and military ties to China–not threatened, as Mr. Buchanan, blinded by a myopic Us vs. Them worldview, seems to think. Russia is saying good-riddance to the U.S., which tears and claws at the whole world to its own detriment.

  5. While Putin and Russia initiated this crisis with the deployment of 100,000 troops to Ukraine’s borders

What troops on Ukranazistan’s borders? They’re 200 kilometres away and are considerably fewer than 100,000.

Belarus, a nation of 10 million, just went through an election where only fraud guaranteed victory for its 67-year-old autocrat, Alexander Lukashenko

According to whom, the people who brought you Saddam’s WMDs, Gaddafi’s viagra rape gangs, Assad’s gas attacks, Russiagate, etc?

Time is not on Russia’s side or Putin’s side.

Time is, actually, very much on Russia’s side, with it getting stronger as Amerikastan looks down a political, economic, and demographic abyss.

we want Russia on our side in the long struggle between the U.S. and the West, and Communist China.

Good luck with that, with Russia and China both more aligned than they ever were and both knowing perfectly well that the Imperialist States of Amerikastan is their eternal enemy.

It’s surprising how anyone can write an article like this, by the way, without mentioning the fact of the Nuland nazi coup in Ukraine in 2014.

  6. Rahan says:

It’s like there was no deep state coup against Trump, no takeover of the west by corporate technocrats, no great reset is currently happening, no turning of billions of people into invalids…

Like the summer/autumn of 2022 will not be a watershed comparable to a mix of a world war and bronze age collapse, once accumulated vax shit erupts for real.

Sure, “we the west” must this and that otherwise evil communist Beijing oh no six million Uighurs masturbated to death with lampshades etc.

A delightful article which would have perhaps made perfect sense circa 2012.

  7. – Of course from a US interest POV the policy re: Russia makes no sense – that was never the intent.

After Stalin´s death* the (((original))) bolshewiks were gradually squeezed out of the nomenklatura (Chrushchew was Ukrainian) so (((they))) welcomed the downfall of the USSR; however the Yeltsin/(((Harvard Boys)))/(((oligarchs))) coup d´etat also failed so the Ukraine was the logical next target: Between the Wars Odessa, alongside New York and Shanghai, was one of the centers of Jewish power (note the strategic locations) and may become so again (the better to poke the Bear and Europe with). Viewing it thus as a (((pet project))) neatly explains the apparent running against US interests. Pat is correct in his assessment that China is the strategic challenge but I´d say that train has left the station. All the more important it is to keep Germany down ( (((they))) seem perfectly capable of cancelling Nord Stream 2 on (((their))) own).

*The Hungarians were incited to rebel by Radio Free Europe (= CIA) and given assurances but were left hanging to dry because they rebelled against the Jew – as they had done 35 years before (and of course the coincidence with the Suez Crisis was unforeseeable).

  8. Renoman says:

All sounds right to me Pat. Let some common sense enter the arena and have everyone CTF down! Too many lunatics at the top in the USA at present, come on Mid terms!

  9. @roonaldo

Your “can’t see” and “blinded” are too charitable.

I’ve been reading closely Mr. Buchanan’s articles here for several years. Whatever he may have said or written long ago, Mr. Paleoconservative now has two jobs:

    – to herd people into voting GOP in each Most Important Election Ever, maintaining the uniparty political Establishment

    – to urge imperial restraint while reinforcing Exceptional! narratives, obscuring dissent as the Right jamb of Uncle Sam’s Overton window.

The evidence for this, published each Tuesday and Friday, is unrelenting.

  13. Deep State of China is fighting with Xi to wrest control

This Chinese bhai knows how Communist China really works, he was one of the first to go inside China when China opened up as he was Hong Kong businessman. Elmer bhai says, Communist China is not a Government, if you treat it like a Government, you will be fooled. He says, as far as the Chinese Communist Party is concerned, you are dealing with a transnational criminal organization, not a normal government. He says that the Chinese Communist Party has been formed 100 years and they have done crime after crime. He says that they are like mafia. A scorpion is a scorpion. He says in video there is a possibility of a war with Taiwan or India as this will allow Xi to be popular among his people.
Yuen Bhai was the first one to be invited to invest in China in 1997, he was invited by the Chinese and he dealt with top Chinese high level people. He was in Mainland China for 20 years. He knows how PRC works. From 1989 Jiang Zemin, party secretary was running the country. Even up to 2015 he decided all the heads of provinces, ministries, he assigned them. All Government officials, high level ones is appointed by Central Government, China is a Centralized country. So Jiang has his own people control China. His people was running it even after Xi was in power. Xi decided that he wants to control the power. He started to consolidate his own power both in military and police. But Xi only has about 40% control of Mainland China.
The Jiang family controls about 60% of power. The Chinese deep State has top 50 mafia Communist families. Xi has 70% control in police, military and media (propaganda). Earlier Xi was stationed as top official for Fujian and Zhejiang and then very shortly in Shanghai. So he has very limited power, so he is trying to capture power. So he is ruining the money and assets of the deep state. He is getting his enemies arrested and coughing out money. Xi wanted to wait till 2035 to
reveal his intentions but because of U.S. President Donald Trump, he lost patience and he showed his hand and made whole world his enemy. But inside China, he revealed his intentions, he revealed his desire to gain total power. Bhai says in video that during 6th plenary session he started claiming power and started claiming legitimacy of Chairman Mao. After Central Committee meeting, 6th Planery, all Central Committee member about 400 of them and Politburo were locked up for 10 days. The resolution came out 5 days late, that means there was serious argument about power struggle. The resolution was very different with what happened in the meeting, there was infighting. But Premier Xi did not get what he wanted. Bhai say sin video that at this moment Xi has less than 50% control of state media, and that is serious in a communist control where propaganda is supreme. But Xi is turning very bad for business.
He says IPO of ANT was 30 billion but 20 times money had to go to HK, as you need to oversubscribe and then by lottery or percentage you get what you want. About 300 billion dollars landed in HK sitting in HK banks. Xi decided to have open war with the deep state at that time by hurting them. By hurting the other mafia Communist families, he can elevate his power. He does not care about damage to his country’s economy. Since of ANT Mainland Chinese people aand investors have lost \$ 4 trillion, drop in stocks. Money leaving China. Evergrande has also failed to pay interests, they had borrowed another \$ 3 trillion. Xi is willing to do that. He says this is Communism, Communism does not have smooth transfer of power, so the Communist elites fight among themselves. And when they fight they do not care about country and what happens to the people. Even Mao did the same, he fought for power with other Communist factions which led to death of 80 million lives (starvation, cultural revolution, big leap forward). The infighting is so serious now that they do not care about USA anymore or anybody, just grabbing power.
He also says that Jiang Zemin was in Moscow where he was womaniser and he got compromised by Russian intelligence. So when he came to power he started SCO. So Jiang wrote away entire disputed Russian Far East to Russia. There was unbelievable resources which Stalin had promised to give back to China but now it is officially Russian. Putin is closer friend to Jiang than Xi, when Putin went to China Putin visited Jiang first , before meeting Xi. Putin actually despises Xi (38:11 minutes in video). The Chinese deep state of Jiang gang is working with Biden Administration
to destroy Xi as well as Putin to destroy Xi because Xi is bad for business. Bhai says that USA has printed a lot of money. USA has exposure of 7 trillion dollars in China and 70% is not coming back. So to reset, Bhai says that there could be war. So Chinese Communist deep State is working with Putin, Biden, Rice to remove Xi. So Xi has to fight back, to start a limited war with Taiwan or a limited war with India, so people will rally for him and he may keep his position. He says China will not hesitate to threaten India with nuclear arms as they do not care about their own peoples lives if there is nuclear retaliation from India. They may use same tactic against USA and force enemy to negotiate. And when enemy is called to China to negotiate, then Chinese people will respect him as great leader and he will retain power. Bhai says in video that for Communists what matters is staying in power.

  14. Four-star general of the Indian Army & Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Indian Armed Forces i.e the top Indian military person in India, General Bipin Rawat mysteriously died when his Russian made Mil Mi-17 helicopter crashed. General Rawat died with his wife and many other top military personal and it was big loss for India. He was very anti-PRC. Interestingly Taiwan’s military officer who served as a Republic of China Air Force general and the Chief of the General Staff, Deputy
Minister of National Defense for Policy, and Commander of the ROC Air Force, General
Shen Yi-ming also mysteriously died when his American made Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk

  17. It does not seem that the purpose of the military build up on Ukraine’s border was an invasion. Putin’s goal was to stop a possible attack by Kiev on the Donbass and to begin a discussion with the US about NATO membership for Ukraine and Georgia. He has succeeded on both counts. Putin is a very smart president playing a weak hand well; Biden is a not smart president playing a strong hand badly. The wily Putin has outfoxed Biden; he has got Biden to publicly admit the US will not defend Ukraine. The negotiations will surely end in a Modus Vivendi that will be short of US declaring Ukraine and Georgia will never be in NATO; they wont but Biden cannot admit this publicly. As for China she is like a predator waiting for a wounded animal to die so it can move in for the kill. The Chinese are biding their time waiting for the American colossus to collapse. The Chinese must be laughing as they watch the clumsy attempts of the USA to build blocs of reluctant nations to ”contain” them. The US has an aging population; a dysfunctional political system and a crumbling infrastructure; instead on investing in science technology engineering and math in pours cash into its bloated military. 50 years ago President Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger used astute statecraft and diplomacy to separate China from Soviet Union; 50 years later the current US leadership has stupidly driven these two geat powers together.

  18. The reason that the fake news media keeps up the idea that Russia is the big threat, is because they are covering for untold numbers of politicians bought off by China. This should be obvious by now. It’s simply an extension of the Russian Collusion B.S. of the last presidency and a cover up for the deep criminal involvement with China. Diane Feinstein had a Chinese spy as her driver. lol Yes, I can’t help it but do think it’s funny. Eric Swalwell, the paranoid Trump attack dog, was sleeping with a Chinese agent while showing her and her “friends” around government offices. The main stream media, simply cannot be believed where anything involving Trump is concerned. How many times does this have to be proved? Their total and complete derangement on Trump is exhibited daily. Unfortunately the American public has no one to expose this stuff involving China, let alone to stop it.

The Russian people have more in common with Europeans and Americans by virtue of their shared race, religion and culture than the Sons of Han which are completely alien to White Westerners. The Chinese also have old scores to settle after their occupation and humiliation in the 19th Century at the hands of Western Imperialists. But most pressingly for the Chinese in the 21st Century is their growing population and degradation of Chinese land (they lose 0.5% arable land a year due to industrialisation), thus need new territory for their people.

    https://rense.com/general96/speech-by-comrade-chi-haotian.php

Russia has no such need for new territories, it is a vast and underpopulated nation with a shrinking population. Should the West fall, the Sino-Chinese partnership will probably also crumble if China considers it necessary to expand west to provide more ‘lebensraum’ for its 1.4 billion people. Chinese have previously sought (unsuccessfully) to purchase large chunks of land in the west (e.g in Australia and Ireland)

The long-term effect of the Covid vaccines being forced on the West are unknown, but if the Deagel projections are correct, the populations of Western countries will be decimated by 2025 (e.g. US will fall from 330m to 99m; UK from 65 m to 14m; Ireland from 5m to 1m). The vaccines produced by Western drug companies are more lethal than the Chinese Sinovax which uses traditional inoculation technology and has less side effects. Russia doesn’t have 140 million nonwhites living within it’s borders, all vying for their piece of the pie. Compared to the US, Russian problems are miniscule. Buchanan says that China has ten times Russia’s population, is this a benefit? Most definitely not. If this were the 19th century maybe so, but modern countries don’t need hundreds of millions of people to work the farms or the cotton mills. Most work is now done by machine and in the future even more so. Russia has roughly 140 million people, a big country with half the world’s natural resources, China and Europe will buy everything that they can produce. A Chinese invasion, why? Russia will sell China everything it wants and needs, why take the chance of Russia turning every Chinese city to glass?

NATO still exists but what the U.S. media will not admit, is that most of Europe has moved on from that period of politics with Russia. Really Pat? Russia is good and China is bad? your article has undertones of racism. In the last 500 years, there is no evidence China has invaded another country. Sure it had border wars but no invasion – same as Russia. But my memory says only the West has been invading other countries. The West thinks that all other peoples are savages and needs saving (euphemism for empire to control others). China thinks so too, but China does not want to take over savages, but rather wants to make money and make everyone rich too. Thus the BRI.

  38. @Jim Given

NATO was created to ‘roll-back’ communism and consolidate the power of the USA, the Fourth Reich, the successor State to Nazi Germany. You can see this true nature in its cowardly destruction of Libya and Afghanistan, interference in the South China Sea and mutterings of admitting the narco-death squad regime in Colombia.

Your depiction of China is just a typical Western psychopathological projection of Western predatory viciousness on to others. The Chinese would prefer the USA less aggressive, violent, arrogant and demanding, and living at peace with the world. Can anyone give me a coherent answer as to why Moscow should fear Beijing encroaching on their territory, in the far East or anywhere else ? It looks like a fantasy of Washington insiders who dream of pulling off a “Reverse Nixon” by splitting their geopolitical rivals but this time by going to Moscow with a brand new deal. But there is nothing Washington can give that Beijing can’t give more of, except I suppose Washington cutting out all the nonsense it’s been perpetrating against Russia for the last few decades. That’s not a solid basis for a Grand Alliance.
Beijing and Moscow are cooperating on all sorts of massive projects and there are no vital resources in Siberia that Russia isn’t keen to sell.
This isn’t age of Genghis Khan or Napoleon where you can just gather your cavalry and charge over the border to seize more territory. Not only is this the age of nuclear weapons with a flight time of mere minutes, it’s also the age of international cooperation and digital communications. Workers can get passports and visas, travel to another nation, do their work, get paid and travel home when their contract is over. Or if everyone is in agreement, integrate into the nation according to well known and accepted laws.

Russia is a Social Democracy. It maintains traditional Christian values, and is an impressive mixture of individual independence, and social participation.

China is a Meritocracy. It’s form of governance is unlike anything ever seen before.

There is no use trying to disguise, pretty up, or minimize the enormous failures of the United States “government”. 51. Yashuo says:

I am not unsympathetic to Buchanan’s argument and point of view, but that ship has sailed.

The US is still a very powerful country – militarily and economically. Consider that, at the end of 2021, the US accounted for ~4.4% of the world’s population, but US publicly-listed stocks accounted for ~44% of global equity market capitalization. One could go on in this vein.

Both Russia and China recognize this, and understand that they must work together – if and when their respective national interests align and warrant such cooperation – to counter US influence and pressure, exerted directly and indirectly, as well as overtly and covertly.

Consider the very interesting and, I would argue, unusual, joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of Russia and China on October 7th, 2021 (“Joint Statement by the Foreign Ministers of the People’s Republic of China and the Russia Federation on Strengthening the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons and on their Destruction” || URL: https://www.mfa.gov.cn/mfa_eng/zxxx_662805/202110/t20211007_9580037.html)

Why did they issue that statement, and why then, specifically? Nation-states, when they communicate publicly, often employ both exoteric and esoteric forms. Here is one key paragraph from the statement:

“In this context they emphasize that the United States’ and its allies’ overseas military biological activities (over 200 US biological laboratories are deployed outside its national territory, which function in opaque and non-transparent manner) cause serious concerns and questions among the international community over its compliance with the BWC. The two sides share the view that such activities pose serious risks for the national security of the Russian Federation and China, and are detrimental to the security of relevant regions.”

I wasn’t aware that the US had any “biological laboratories” outside its national territory. Does the USG dispute this assertion and/or figure? I haven’t seen any refutations.

This is an official Joint Statement. It can be found on the official websites of the Russian and Chinese Ministries of Foreign Affairs. I am sure a copy of the Statement has been provided to the official representatives of each one of the 190+ member states and observers of the UN in New York. What do they make of this? Especially in light of continuing revelations regarding US-sponsored and/or conducted gain-of-function research on coronaviruses? I don’t have the answers to these questions; however, if I were the official representative of a UN member state, and I became aware of this official Statement, I would be asking the US these and other, related questions.

I am very much a Realist/Structuralist, in the mold of Mearshimer, when it comes to international relations. Nation-states don’t (should not) have friends and allies, only interests. Russia and China don’t trust the US – nor should they, nor should the US trust them – and will do what they perceive to be in their respective national interests.

Buchanan ends his piece with the following statement:

“Indeed, in the long term, we want Russia on our side in the long struggle between the U.S. and the West, and Communist China.”

I come back to my opening assertion: that ship has sailed. Russia will align with Germany, or France, or, indeed, the US, on very specific issues if it perceives it to be in its national interest to do so, where interests align, e.g., hunting and killing certain terrorists belonging to certain terrorist groups (but not other terrorist groups).

I usually consider Patrick Buchanan an astute observer but this article is shot full of holes and weird assumptions. Sure, China with it’s economy and population is a threat to everyone, but the biggest threat is to China itself. They are not self sufficient where Russian can feed its own people and does not have the huge economy to support. China’s economy is largely built on the U.S. economy which is failing on a grand scale. How Russia is diminishing in comparison the U.S. I fail to see. Is Buchanan aware we are 30 trillion plus in debt to the point we had to usher in a pandemic to keep the whole thing going? A huge part of the covid scam is to eliminate the elderly from social security, and medi care as well as the underfunded pensions throughout the west. While we are busy killing off our middle class the other part of the plan is to replace them with low wage immigrant labor. When you realize it is all a huge scam then everything makes sense. People point out the shots don’t work, why bring in immigrants in the middle of a pandemic?, why shut down our economy when it is putting businesses out?, why do we allow protesters to burn our cities? It all makes sense as a concerted effort to install a more compliant and controlled population and it is working. Of course it is a wild fantasy of people who are unable to learn from the past but that doesn’t mean they sure won’t try.

Marischka hargitay you too, Hool …

.. a hundred or so years ago, Fama has it, the Muslim slaughterers´guild
of Delhi petitioned the British high commissioner for “an hour to fight the
sons of pigs” but were chassled off curtly (“No.”). Undeterred, they submissest
asked for “half an hour; it will be enough, for we will hurry up”. Only when
they were rebuffed again (the commissioner having a heart of stone) did they
go berserk; always heavily outnumbered, they usually came out on top
(worshipping carpets instead of cows and eating halfway reasonably increases
    testicle size about sixfold).

It seems to me you have enough problems without peeping over the
    Mountains.
    – A simple timelapse shows it was India that has been pressuring north since
independence. I know all your rivers spring from the Kailash but the Chinese couldn´t divert them even if they wanted to (active geology is fun – until you want to build dams)
The newest fad is “They want Arunachal Pradesh” – for what exactly?
Tea, ugly women and an antecedent river … of course there are the land
communications to Nagaland, a shitty piece of real estate that has always been more hassle than it´s worth – I say let the Burmese grow ulcers over it
(Whether it is your generals, USrael or the Chinese behind the scare I don´t know).
    – The Chinese will build the Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere, and there´s
precious little you can do – but it will be a long time before they can challenge you in the Indian Ocean; again, for what? Subhas Chandra Bose did not die in that plane crash –
he joined Mao´s staff; you are rooting for the wrong team.

Why are Russia and China separate countries then?

Funny how the most vicious racists are the most pig ignorant. Even for this type of swine, China’s ‘huge economy’ being a negative is sheer idiocy.

Much plastic today comes from the USA because the shite extracted by the fracking Ponzi scheme is only good for making plastic. Another Septic gift to humanity.

What sort of racist cretin believes US hate propaganda against China? Particularly when it is PURE projection, accusing the Chinese of actions that the USA has been pursuing for decades. A war against China will have ONE redeeming feature-removing scum like you from the cosmos.

Yes and with that it promoted the “throw away culture”… But when all else fails… Just blame China. Easiest card to play and absolves them of all guilt.
