How can America unite again to do great things if we are led by people who believe America suffers from a great sickness of the soul, an original sin that dates back to her birth as a nation?

Consider.

After his long night of prayer for “the right verdict” to be pronounced — Derek Chauvin was convicted on all three counts — Joe Biden stepped before the White House cameras to tell us what it all meant.

George Floyd’s death, said Biden, “was a murder in the full light of day, and it ripped the blinders off for the whole world to see the systemic racism… that is a stain on our nation’s soul — the knee on the neck of justice for Black Americans.”

Astonishing. Biden is saying that when Chauvin knelt on the neck of George Floyd for nine minutes as the life drained out of him, the world, for once, was getting a good, close look at the diseased soul of America.

What Chauvin was doing to Floyd, said the president of the United States, is a reflection of the kind of justice America delivers to Black Americans.

This is no aberration, Biden was saying. This is the routine reality.

Biden was introduced by Kamala Harris, who said much the same:

“America has a long history of systemic racism. Black Americans and Black men in particular have been treated throughout the course of our history as less than human.”

At Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas-Greenfield delivered what The Wall Street Journal called, “a recitation of America’s sins (that) could have come from China’s Global Times.”

Said Thomas-Greenfield:

“I have… seen for myself how the original sin of slavery weaved white supremacy into our founding documents and principles. … Racism is the problem of the racist. And it is the problem of the society that produces the racist.”

What our diplomat to the world is saying is that our Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights are interwoven with white supremacy and that America, to this day, continues to breed racists.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, at a Congressional Black Caucus event after the verdict, turned her eyes heavenward in gratitude:

“Thank you, George Floyd, for sacrificing your life for justice….For being there to call out to your mom — how heartbreaking was that … And because of you … your name will always be synonymous with justice.”

Implication: Floyd died to redeem America of her original sin of racism.

All in all, quite a commentary on our leaders.

For, again, our president and vice president are saying that this people and country still suffer from a sickness of the soul that dates back to its formative days.

The 1960s radicals who vilified our country as “Amerika” were rightly called “anti-American.” Today, the difference between what they said about America and what our highest elected leaders are saying is hard to discern.

Our enemies have picked up on this. In Anchorage, after Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Beijing out for repression in Hong Kong and “genocide” in Xinjiang, China’s foreign minister was right back in his face.

You Americans should look to your own sins and clean up your house before lecturing the world on political morality, he said. Today, that Chinese foreign minister could cite Biden and Harris as his chief witnesses that America is a nation sick in its soul.

We hear our leaders’ attacks on America. Where is their defense?

What other nation has provided the same measures of personal and political freedoms and material blessings for 40 million Black people as has the United States?

If people of color are treated “as less than human” in America, as Harris says, why are so many people of color seeking desperately to get across our Southern border to build their future here?

What is the real truth about race in America that goes unmentioned in the mainstream media’s endless hunt for encounters between Black men and white cops?

The main perpetrators of violent crimes against Black Americans — are other Black Americans. Black men, ages 16 to 40, are 3% of the U.S. population but commit roughly a third of America’s violent crimes.

Defund police, restrict police, remove police and you will get more of what the police prevent — crimes, especially violent crimes, in your community.

When Biden and Harris spoke of “systemic racism” afflicting our society, they were not describing their enlightened selves. And it was Hillary Clinton who identified the people the leftist elites have in mind:

“You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. … The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. … Some of those folks… are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America.”

What Clinton, Biden and Harris are all saying is that, though the moral sickness of racism pervades our society, we are the vaccinated ones.

Patrick J. Buchanan is the author of “Nixon’s White House Wars: The Battles That Made and Broke a President and Divided America Forever.”

  1. Yes, we are led by anti-Americans….and they are all funded by the small hat donors who lurk in the shadows and fear the light.

Thing is, anybody with half a brain can see who owns the lying media and put two and two together.

Some people have anointed themselves the holy ones who need to go on a crusade to convert the fallen ones.

One might say this is a “white sickness” in an of itself.

Colored ones see rich pickings to be ripped out of the festering corpse while there is still something to be had.

  8. This column is an instructive example of Pat Buchanan cultivating strife (1) among and (2) purportedly on behalf of those who the Establishment of which he’s part wants to control.

    Consider.

    1. Mr. Buchanan first wrote that “the killing of George Floyd was an atrocity that cries out for justice” (June 2), a “sadistic public execution” (June 9). He then eased off for a while with the ambiguously passive “death under the knee of” Mr. Chauvin. Then, for a couple months, Mr. Floyd’s was a simple “death,” the official start of political summer.

And that, for months, was the end of the story. He couldn’t have cared less about the official autopsy or the video footage suppressed by DA Keith Ellison. He had moved on because he, too, had used another media-curated atrocity to keep the sheep fighting among themselves.

Then, on December 29, the last Most Important Election Ever over and done, Mr. Buchanan — weaselingly, and still stirring the rAcIaL pot — seemed to acknowledge that the Establishment narratives he perpetuated were false:

On Memorial Day weekend, a white police officer in Minneapolis was taped kneeling for nine minutes on the neck of a Black suspect.

Hours later, George Floyd would die[.]

He never did get around, though, to the autopsy report, last year’s suppression of the full video, or much of the evidence and conduct of the trial. And he still passively accepts the narrative that the police officer’s actions were racially motivated. Why? To fire up Team Red over those Blue politicians calling them and their Founding Fathers racists, too.

Very few of these Beltway people could care much less about George, Derek, or anyone else smashed up like balsa chairs in the pro wrestling of national politics.

    2. This column begins by asking “How can America unite again to do great things.” Those “great things” aren’t specified, but Mr. Buchanan later characterizes China as among “[o]ur enemies.”

He routinely uses this Exceptional! rhetoric and pronoun propaganda because the Washington he serves needs foreign scapegoats to blame for those who might not be motivated enough to vote Red+Blue by transgender statues and Confederate bathrooms.

That depends on the definition of American. If your ideology of America derives directly from the Yankee WASP determined Civil War and Reconstruction, then, what the Woke are doing and saying is not anti-American. Rather, what is Woke is the quintessential America, the America being updated to mark its commitment to the masses being rallied to hate, murderously hate, a large number of whites that stand in the way of the Yankee WASP Elites. And that is achieved by making the Negro the Sacred Pet.

The entire history of Modern English culture is of its Elites seeing the vast majority of whites they rule as not merely inherently inferior but as beneath contempt, as trash that must be hounded ceaselessly. From the beginning, that was more than just a class issue. It was something of a ‘race’ issue. That makes perfect sense once you allow yourself to understand that Modern English culture was shaped into final form, was determined, by the Judaizing heresy that was Anglo-Saxon Puritanism. Certainly by the time that archetypal WASP Oliver Cromwell officially allied the Puritan/Modern English cause and identity with Jewish financiers, the Elites produced out of the two phases of English ‘reformation’ had come to adopt strongly Jewish sensibilities, which mean they saw themselves rather like Jews seeing Gentiles: they, (as they would become known in American form) the WASP Elite, were godlike, while the ‘others’ were decidedly less than, closer to cattle than the godlike Elite.

When you see the world that way, a permanent central feature of your rule is to act to divide and conquer those inferior people you rule, and that you both hate and fear. And that eventually always requires using groups as your weapons and tools. That is what The Numinous Negro is for the WASP Elite: weapons and tools with which to attack and batter ‘the white trash.’

None of that is altered by the fact that the Jewish bankers long ago became the ruling partners of WASP culture. The game remains the same, largely because it is a game born of a Judaizing heresy and therefore perfectly in tune with all things Jewish.

  11. We used the term “Amerika” in homage to Franz Kafka’s 1927 novel of the same name. In it the immigrant protagonist finds himself in the hands of an oppressive system that places him repeatedly in bizarre situations controlled by remote and unresponsive authority figures – not unlike Pat’s Dear Leader inhabiting the White House at the time. As a European writing after the Great War, Kafka was vividly aware that the US fundamental philosophy is that might makes right, which, again, we witnessed to our horror being acted out once again, this time in Southeast Asia. Later, given the rageful reaction to the civil rights movement, some decided it might be more appropriate to spell the national name with three K’s.

Like the man said, if this be treason, make the most of it.

It seems a simple equation, it’s not blacks that Americans dislike it’s blacks acting like Enwerds. If you don’t act like an enwerd the police will generally not act badly towards you. I say generally because every now and then you run into a jackass cop who treats everyone like an enwerd, I’m white and have suffered such on a few occasions despite being yes officer polite. It happens but racism in general is almost non existent in the average town, the Democrats are hyping this to get votes, the slimy creatures that they are.

  13. “Floyd died to redeem America of her original sin of racism”

But, unlike Jesus dying to redeem humankind for sin, Floyd’s “redemption” will never be enough. Because there will never be “enough” to satisfy those people.

Or is that true? When whites and Asians are completely downtrodden, marginalized, disenfranchised, and demoralized; when blacks can do whatever they want with impunity; then will it be enough?

Here is an assumed hierarchy of what “enough” looks like in America, in order:

    1. Jews
    2. Blacks
    3. Self-loathing atheistic Whites
    4. Asians, Native Americans, Hispanics
    5. College-educated White Christians
    6. Working class Whites (may or may not be religious)

This hierarchy, which is being put in place now, just might be enough.

  14. The average response time for paramedics in St. Paul is 4.67 minutes. I’m not sure about Minneapolis, but the Floyd case was an exception because of navigation difficulties.

    https://bestlifeonline.com/50-cities-emergency/

As the minutes ticked by, and the crowd became unruly, Chauvin was caught in a dilemma. Stay the course, or assume responsibility for giving Floyd some kind of emergency medical care.

When dealing with an overdose, compounded by who knows what else, a policeman is out of his depth. He also can’t watch his back, as a hostile crowd gathers. Once you commit to first aid, you’re focused on that task. You’re no longer looking over your shoulder. If someone from the crowd decides to bottle you or stab you, you wouldn’t see it coming. It’s unwise to turn your back on a hostile presence.

Staying the course gave the hostile, camera-wielding crowd the least to comment on, and means Chauvin and crew could mind their own safety and react if necessary.

Lots of armchair quarterbacks think they know better, but they weren’t there and they often don’t have real world experience.

Slavery is therefore an economic category of paramount importance. Without slavery, North America, the most progressive nation, would be transformed into a patriarchal country. Only wipe North America off the map and you will get anarchy, the complete decay of trade and modern civilisation. But to do away with slavery would be to wipe America off the map.”

Black tennis star Naomi Osaka bemoans “racism” in America — yet her Japanese mother was shunned in Japan because she had procreated with a black man. Most Asians view blacks as intellectually inferior troublemakers and a step backwards in evolution. In this assessment Asians are 100% correct. So let black people in America try emigrating to Asian countries — where nobody wants them. Let black people in America emigrate to black-dominated countries where poverty, crime, promiscuity, social decay & corruption are always king. Of course, blacks won’t do that as they know that white-created wealth and white tolerance for black behavior suits them just fine. And Naomi Osaka won’t earn much money for her tennis victories in black countries.

The jews are not ruling partners of a “WASP elite.”

There is no WASP elite…..there is only a jewish supremacist elite.

Would you call Lindsey Graham and Dan Crenshaw “elite?” They’re not elite….they are shabbos goy sellout pieces of shit.

As Kevin Macdonald has mentioned, when we had a white elite, yes they were rich, but they had the same value system as the citizens and they also had a genetic investment for the nation and a bit of love for the country…..while the small hat elite openly despises white Christian people and shits on the nation 24/7 in the toxic mainstream media and the nasty university system.

The simplest method to determine who is in power is to ask objectively what group’s interests are being served, and the clear answer is that white interests are NEVER served and jewish interests are served 99% of the time.

    That’s where we are.

One quibble — “whites they rule as not merely inherently inferior but as beneath contempt, as trash that must be hounded ceaselessly.”
I’m not so sure. (yes, considering the Clintonists, there’s probably some truth.)
I suspect that whites are ever-ever increasingly targeted because they are not only a majority, but a majority with a conscious culture. They are basically patriotic. They are proud of their history. Therefore they are a likely problem for elites taking ever more (extra national) power. Elites ARE paranoid.
Imagine if white people became conscious AND politically animated ?
Imagine if they self organised, & rejected the rancid pus filled, diseased 2 party duopoly?
    The elites would shit themselves.
So – let’s use our old faithfuls — racism at home & massive non-white immigration.

    NO.

    It’s ideological flimflam. A “con”.
It suggests that white people have a “racist”….”thing” inside them. Like a “soul” it’s invisible & unlocatable.
Systemic racism is like astrology. There’s always a “reason” why particular theories fail…..

  22. Ardent abolitionists used much the same religious language in 1845 to speak about the America of their day. Many of America’s early settlers were mentally-unbalanced, religious fanatics who could neither abide their compatriots in Europe nor could they be abided in turn. They teach that they came here to excape religious persecution but a close reading of history shows that when they had their chance to rule in Europe they were so intolerant that they were driven out by their neighbors. Even then, these zealots were “intolerant of intolerance”.

So they made their way to a new world, a borderless world where they could form associations of other like-minded impressionable souls. Of course, such communities soon broke up due to internal squabbling. Each fragment then went its own way to eventually form one of the myriad of the sects that dot the landscape today. Ultimately then, their fanatical insistence in purity of motive and deed leads to isolation.

Hillary et.al. are the great grand children of these tortured souls. Godchildren of John Brown.

Father Abraham came to release us from bondage both to slavery and to these firebrands with,

“until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword”, and that the war was the country’s “woe due”…..”the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether”…..”let us strive on to. . . bind up the nation’s wounds”

We have already paid the terrible price. We owe nothing. Every drop drawn by the lash has been redeemed by the men who fought the Civil War. We can only wish that the likes of Clinton, Biden and Harris could rise to the greatness of Lincoln in trying to bind up the nation’s wounds. They are a sorry lot of scurrilous opportunists.

I grew up in Coal Mining Country. My father’s father was a Polish Catholic immigrant who came to this country before WW1, couldn’t speak the language, and wound up in the mines. My father followed in his footsteps. My last name is Polish, which many, including my teachers, found unpronounceable, though it’s a mere seven letters (shortened by the bureaucrats at Ellis Island). We were looked down upon by WASPS, whose families had been here for generations, and who held the positions of power. The only Jews I knew of ran small clothing stores.

My little mining town had a Polish Club, an Hungarian Club, a Russian Club, and a Sons of Italy, among others. Growing up I was told that I was Polish, though I’ve never been there. I can’t count how many times I was derisively called “Polack.” (Not much different in intent than the “N” word).

What I’m getting at is that we never thought of ourselves as White. We identified more with our various ethnic and religious groups. The dominant culture was WASP, and we were the Working Class.

Today’s Europe, counting islands like Iceland, is divided into 44 countries! Each have somewhat different cultures. How is it possible to forge a White identity out of that stew? Jews, who always look out for members of their own tribe first, don’t have this problem.

That’s pretty much the same for WASP businessman and politicians (like the Roosevelts, the Bushes, and Hillary Rodham) in their fancy enclaves and country clubs. They identify more with Jews as they look down their noses at us lower class Deplorables.

What I’m getting at is that we never thought of ourselves as White. We identified more with our various ethnic and religious groups. The dominant culture was WASP, and we were the Working Class.

You probably are already aware of Jones and his work on destruction of ethnic neighborhoods:

The WASP elite did not understand usury, because it has been normed out of Protestantism, and to a large degree Catholicism. So, neither group could understand the slaughter of the neighborhoods.

Usury is a power relation, where a person or group, take unearned income at the expense of their victims.

In the case of Slaughter of the Cities, it was the finance class, especially FIRE SECTOR, which was taking sordid gain. Another group was the Military Industrial Complex, which fomented war.

WASPs are a Judaizing heresy group, as Protestantism was funded into being by Jewish money derived from Amsterdam’s stock market, as I have demonstrated here at Unz.

While WASP elites did have some feeling for their fellow “white people” they did not have the mental framework or language to understand usury and rent seeking takings.

Also, the elite are not trained in civilizational modes. In other words, the elites are not elite. Their “ivy league” schools taught nonsense and infected their WASP brains with ideas like “to get rich is glorious.”

By the time of the Spanish American War, the WASP elites were going along with Oligarchy and Imperialism/Conquest. Our (((friends))) had not fully infiltrated by then, so we cannot blame them.

Catholicism is implicated in also falling down, and losing its civilizational gonads, as Hoffman has so eloquently exposed:

    https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17672857-usury-in-christendom

Usury in Christendom provides the reader with a detailed understanding of how a den of thieves robbed the followers of Christ of their patrimony.

In former ethnic neighborhoods, the patrimony was having aunts and uncles around, and said family being “debt-free” and owning their lands/houses. The aunts/uncles would pass these homes down to their patrimony, their children.

As Jones explains, this patrimony and virtuous cycle was destroyed by a coalition of self-interested parasites who were intent on taking sordid gain for themselves, a form of usury. The cost was a future much diminished.

  28. George Floyd was a worthless Convicted Felon on drugs and passing counterfeit currency on Memorial Day 2020 and if Derek Chauvin hadnt been dumb enough to kill him in broad daylight while being video tapped no less it would have been an ordinary arrest and Chauvin wouldnt be in prison and no one would know who George Floyd was. Yankee WASPs look down upon and hate all other Whites, but LOVE Blacks…whether it’s Southerners (regardless of whether they may technically be of “Anglo-Saxon Protestant” heritage) or “ethnic” Whites like Irish, Italian, Polish Catholics.

E.g. 1894 Immigration Restriction League to oppose White ethnic immigration founded by “Anglo-Saxon supremacists” Boston Brahmin Harvard alumni of New England (lawyer Charles Warren, climatologist Robert DeCourcy Ward, attorney Prescott Farnsworth Hall), Yankee WASP politicians like Senator George Franklin Edmunds of Vermont and Senator Henry Cabot Lodge, Sr. of Massachusetts—all Radical Reconstructionist Negrophiles.

Henry Cabot Lodge openly praised the lynch mob who perpetrated the largest mass-lynching in U.S. history in 1891 New Orleans—now memory-holed as victims were Italians, 15 of whom lynched by mob armed with a battering ram, stirred up by lying press after a jury acquittal. (President Harrison proclaimed 1st Columbus Day in 1892; did not hear anything from Biden to commemorate Italians on recently passed 130th lynching anniversary.) At the same time, Henry Cabot Lodge sponsored the 1890 Lodge Force Bill which would have usurped all state election powers, federalized all elections—sent federal marshals as “supervisors” to the South to forcibly conduct voter registration, purge voter rolls, administer elections—to ensure Lodge’s beloved Numinous Negroes could all vote and take power over Southern states.

Notice ol’ Jeff Davis could easily have been talking about the original kosher ‘Tribe’ when describing the traits and history of the Cromwellian Puritan WASP Yankee Judeophile imitation ‘tribe’ who made up the population of the North in 1862. With Dixie demolished in Yankee Puritan rage, racially insecure Yankee WASPs seized the opportunity to rewrite American history to put Puritan Pilgrims at the center. New England Pilgrims were in fact the refuse of Olde England dumped onto Plymouth—Britain glad to be rid of such menace—but in America this barbarous people could convince themselves they were in fact the most supreme ‘race’ to ever walk the earth.

“I predicted war not because our right to secede and to form a government of our own was not indisputable and clearly defined in the spirit of that declaration which rests the right to govern on the consent of the governed, but because I foresaw that the wickedness of the North would precipitate a war upon us. Those who supposed the exercise of this right of separation could not produce war, have had cause to be convinced that they had credited their recent associates of the North with a moderation, a sagacity, a morality they did not possess. You have been involved in a war waged for the gratification of the lust of power and of aggrandizement…

Such, I warned you, were the characteristics of the Northern people…After what has happened the last two years, my only wonder is that we consented to live so long a time in association with such miscreants, and have loved so much a government rotten to the core. Were it ever to be proposed again to enter into a Union with such a people, I could no more consent to do it than to trust myself in a den of thieves…

There is indeed a difference between the two peoples. Let no man hug the delusion that there can be renewed association between them. Our enemies are a traditionless and a homeless race; from the time of Cromwell to the present moment they have been disturbers of the peace of the world.

Gathered together by Cromwell from the bogs and fens of the North of Ireland and of England, they commenced by disturbing the peace of their own country; they disturbed Holland, to which they fled, and they disturbed England on their return. They persecuted Catholics in England, and they hung Quakers and witches in America.

Having been hurried into a war with a people so devoid of every mark of civilization you have no doubt wondered that I have not carried out the policy, which I had intended should be our policy, of fighting our battles on the fields of the enemy instead of suffering him to fight them on ours. This was not the result of my will, but of the power of the enemy.”

—President Jefferson Davis; Dec. 26, 1862 (Speech at Jackson, Mississippi, as transcribed and published in Dec. 29 edition of the Memphis Appeal)

WASP is not a home, but Poland is different and has different possibilities. I’ve been there ( Krakow) off and on for the last 20 years and the change has been unbelievable. Poles are not WASPS and life is good if you’re ready to work – try visiting in August or September.

  35. America suffers from more than one sickness of the soul. There is racism, for its own sake and as a Divide and Rule tactic. There is villainous capitalist parasitism, incredible and growing inequality and elite greed and arrogance. There is the pathopsychological delusion of ‘Exceptionalism’ illustrating utter contempt and hatred for the rest of humanity. And then there is the unrelenting genocidal aggression, first against the Natives and Mexicans, then against the rest of humanity, culminating in the current drive to thermo-nuclear war with Russia or China. America is the greatest force for Evil, ever, and the last, in humanity’s brief history.

Here is an assumed hierarchy of what “enough” looks like in America, in order:

About a half century ago, via predictive programming, they did tell us of the woke present in the form of a barely concealed allegory about future Black /White relations.

This allegory had almost everything about modern wokedom within it, including greatly dumbed down future Whites submitting to Blacks, the now ubiquitous kneeling ,and ‘Karens’, etc, a global pandemic being what sets things off.

With the exception of the Jewish people being at the top of the ‘hierarchy’, your overall description fits perfectly with this half century old predictive programming.

Cleverly, so as to not set off alarm, they had used a humorous sci-fi angle as a cover which allowed for easy plausible deniability, and didn’t much advertise the fact that the 1963 novel writer, its English translator, and the script writer/story creator of four (of the first five) movies based upon the original novel, all had intel agency backgrounds, predominantly British.

If you haven’t guessed the book and movies yet I’m speaking of, it was the hugely popular 1960’s and early 70’s Planet of the Apes.

When a knave or simpleton claims that he does not identify as white, what it means is he does not see the people of other races as being substantially different himself in ways that other whites are not. 64. Some people here appear to be interested in WASPS, so I figured it would be worth it to get down a definition from an actual WASP:

There does seem to be some confusion over who or what is a proper American WASP. WASP’s would include non-low class Englishmen and Welshmen and Lowlands Scots, and the English gentry of Ireland. Your religion should be Episcopalian, but it could also be acceptable, depending on the US region, to be Presbyterian or Quaker or Congregationalist. The lower classes adhering to their Baptist faith would not be included, nor would Scots-Irish, Highland Scots, or Irish, nor anyone out of the gutters of Cockney or Liverpool. On the other hand, the oldline Dutch Calvinists of New York would, and it was perfectly acceptable to intermarry with French Huguenots, which they did. Germans and Scandanavians are not WASP’s. Any outmarriage beyond the Hudson Valley Dutch and the French had better be to the likes of a Prinzessin or a Contessa or you would be read out of polite society. The stereotypical WASP of yore was a sandy-haired Anglo-Norman Episcopalian who would have been a descendant of the English class of Country Gentlemen. They would work in a respectable profession and be discreet about money and retain ownership of an old family estateor home of some sort. There are a few of us around still like this who can trace our roots back to the real old country – Normandy. If you are this sort of person, you also know how to weed out and see through the new money crowd and upstarts, including English upstarts raised to the Gentry or Knighthood after the Reformation. Ethnicity is really an extended family, and WASP ethnicity, as described above, is the extended family of the Norman conquerors of Normandy and England who spent centuries intermarrying amongst each other in Normandy, England, and then the Colonies, so as to form a vast cousinage. Being part of a family is something that cannot be bought for any price, which is why new money will never gain you admission to old society.”

Please attribute (identify the author) of your quote.

“[WASP] religion should be Episcopalian, but it could also be acceptable, depending on the US region, to be Presbyterian or Quaker or Congregationalist.”

    Religion is a precondition? Yet:

“WASP ethnicity, as described above, is the extended family of the Norman conquerors of Normandy and England who spent centuries intermarrying amongst each other in Normandy, England, and then the Colonies, so as to form a vast cousinage.”

WASPs want it both ways? “Old” Norman (Catholic) descent AND Henri Tudor’s 16C Episcopalian heresy?

Henri VIII married six times, executed two wives, had (at least) four illicit relationships, created his own church, headed it as an all-in-one spiritual/political/temporal ruler to escape excommunication and confiscate Catholic property. He’s estimated to have executed up to 57,000 for “heresy, treason and denial of the “Royal Supremacy” of his “English Church”. That’s the legacy of ‘more-Catholic-than-Catholic’ Episcopalian WASPs.

“Old-Society” founder Guillaume le Bâtard/le Conquérant, duc de Normandie, roi d’Angleterre and his followers were Roman Catholic. As were Étienne de Blois roi d’Angleterre (1092-1154), Henri II Plantagenêt roi d’Angleterre (1133-89) and his illustrious consort Aliénor de Aquitaine. Even pre-Conquest Alfred the Great of Wessex (848-899) was Catholic!

Yet WASPs eschew Catholics. They might tolerate a Huguenot if the latter – like brilliant Paul Revere – anglicize his surname (originally ‘Rivoire’). Revere called the intolerant ‘bumpkins’ (but still changed his surname).

“There are a few of us around still like this who can trace our roots back to the real old country – Normandy”

Normandie really isn’t that old. Sorry. Viking Rollo (860-930) was rewarded with it 911. (111 years after Charlemagne was crowned in Rome).

Genuine “old country” bragging rights begin with the Mérovingiens (5C-) and successor Carolingiens (582-), Robertiens (915-), Capetians (987-), etc.

“There does seem to be some confusion over who or what is a proper American WASP”.

That’s easy. Being a WASP means, as Erich Segal profoundly penned in ‘Love Story’, “never having to say you’re sorry”. Simple as that.

  67. @Jake

And that is achieved by making the Negro the Sacred Pet.

Uh, the Negro was the Sacred Pet in the low latitudes long before he ever was in the high ones. Yankees tried to ban his immigration in 1789, but that was delayed until 1808. Cf. Article I, Section 9, Clause 1. The addition of states was delayed because we had to include one black one for every properly white one. When Illinois entered the Union, blacks couldn’t enter Illinois.

The American Colonization Society didn’t fail because of Yankees. It failed because it insisted upon voluntary removal. Enforced removal would have been the way to go.

Right, Micro, except that the civilized side of this conflict shouldn’t be called constitutionalists.

We have consistently and systematically violated or ignored the Constitution’s strictures on federal government in a century or more. Most of the remaining reasonably sane, mature, civilized, patriotic people in this country do not actually want to have the government envisioned by the Constitution, and “constitutionalist” is not meaningful. Very few people care about compliance with the Constitution, and that shouldn’t be our main concern at all.

Survival of our progeny, our language, our culture and mores, and defense of our lives, territory, resources, and interests is what matters — not irrelevant arguments about what is permitted under a document that has long been symbolic and appealed to naively and pointlessly.

I care what is best for our people and nation, not what is “constitutional.”

Chauvin’s error was in not taking the cuffs off, putting him on his back and starting compressions when they could not find a pulse. The ambulance had already been called for when they laid him down. Floyd would have died of his drug overdose either way that day, I am sure that is what we actually witnessed. One of those who gave testimony said if the knee had been on the neck, Floyd could not have spoken, but he did, right until he fell unconscious.
