It was two days of contrast that tell us about America 2019.

In El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, following the mass murders of Saturday and Sunday morning, the local folks on camera — police, prosecutors, mayors, FBI and city officials — were nonpartisan, patient, polite and dignified in the unity and solemnity of their grief for their dead and wounded.

But for the Democratic presidential candidates, the El Paso atrocity was like a loose football in the Super Bowl.

A mad scramble broke out over who would be first and most savage in indicting President Donald Trump for moral complicity in mass murder.

Never let a crisis go to waste is an old political adage.

And this crowd of candidates was not going to let that happen. Yet the naked political exploitation of these horrific acts, before the bodies of many had been removed from the crime scene, was appalling to behold.

Learning in Las Vegas of the slaughter at the Walmart in El Paso, his hometown, Beto O’Rourke flew back that same day and sped to the scene.

Railed Beto, Trump “is a racist and he stokes racism in this country … and it leads to violence. … We have a president with white nationalist views in the United States today.” He called Trump’s language about Mexican immigrants “reminiscent of something you might hear in the Third Reich.”

Asked on Sunday by CNN’s Jake Tapper if he believes the president is a “white nationalist,” Beto eagerly assented: “Yes, I do.”

Bernie Sanders, asked by Tapper if he agreed with Beto, replied:

“I do. It gives me no pleasure to say this … all of the evidence out there suggests that we have a president who is a racist, who is a xenophobe, who appeals, and is trying to appeal, to white nationalism.”

On the same CNN show, Sen. Cory Booker almost outdid Beto, “I want to say with more moral clarity that Donald Trump is responsible for this … (mass murder in El Paso) because he is stoking fear and hatred and bigotry.”

Booker went on: “We have a president of the United States who is savagely fraying the bonds of our nation by speaking consistently words of hatred, words of division, words of demonization and demagoguery. … He is fueling an environment where white supremacists … are finding more and more license to strike out against the vulnerable, to strike out against the immigrant, to strike out against ‘the other.'”

Booker is saying Trump is rendering moral license to race conflict.

Elizabeth Warren issued a statement: “We need to call out white nationalism for what it is — domestic terrorism. It is a threat to the United States, and we’ve seen its devastating toll this weekend. And we need to call out the president himself for advancing racism and white supremacy.”

ORDER IT NOW

Ironically, The Washington Times reports that the Dayton shooter, who killed his sister and eight others, “described himself on social media as a pro-Satan ‘leftist,’ who wanted Joe Biden’s generation to die off, hated Trump, and hoped to vote for Sen. Elizabeth Warren for president.”

“I want socialism, and i’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round to understanding,” Connor Betts, the killer, reportedly tweeted.

Not to be left behind, Sen. Kamala Harris said of the president after the slaughter, he’s “a racist, there’s no question in my mind.”

These attacks, unprecedented in their savagery, testify to a hatred of Trump that is broad, deep and implacable, and unlikely to be constrained before November 2020.

Folks still speak wistfully of a return of the unity America once knew and of a coming together to stand again on common ground.

But where is the evidence for that hope?

If Trump’s fabled base is to going to stand loyally by him, and the Democratic candidates are going to unleash this kind of bile against him, whoever wins in 2020 will be not be able to unite us, absent a Pearl Harbor-style attack on this country.

Clearly the issue in the 2020 campaign is going to be Trump.

Is impeachment now back on the table? How can it not be?

Though Robert Mueller found no collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and the Russians, support for impeachment hearings passed the midway mark inside the Democratic caucus in the House last week, even before the horrible weekend.

And if Democrats believe about Trump what their candidates say about him — that he is a white nationalist racist and xenophobe deliberately stoking fear, hatred and violence, whose words and actions call to mind the fascist Italy of Benito Mussolini and Third Reich of Nazi Germany — how can the Democratic leadership credibly not try to impeach him?

Yet, blaming the massacre in El Paso on the rhetoric of Donald Trump is a charge that can come back to bite his attackers. Neither the right nor left has a monopoly on political extremism or violence. And the hate-filled rhetoric of the left this last weekend exceeds anything used by Trump.

And by this morning Trump sounded little different from the dismal lineup of woke leftists and chicken littles (including princess Ivanka) decrying white nationalism as the greatest threat to mankind in the history of the world which must, MUST be eradicated by any and all means at our disposal.

But there were no calls to eradicate black nationalism and black supremacy from the galaxy when BLM inspired mass shootings were taking place against police and white people the last two years of Obama’s reign. I hope the majority of white people can see through this bullshit double standard but my hopes aren’t high.

The shooter was not a white nationalist and didn’t even express any hatred of Hispanics in his alleged manifesto. He merely looked upon them as a growing enemy force who will unalterably change our racial and political landscape. And he saw himself as stepping into the vacuum created by a corrupt and feckless ruling beltway elite who steadfastly refuse to secure the border, deport illegal aliens and lower levels of legal immigration.

It’s too bad the El Paso shooter didn’t read more Fredrico Reedriquez. If he did he might have learned that the mestizo race is a bookish and curious one and the light onto nations who are almost mirror images of white Europeans only more easy going because they park on lawns and put ferris wheels in city streets whenever the urge strikes them.

This country is beyond repair. Since the mid-1960s, we have allowed it to be flooded with millions of unassimilable people from around the globe while, at the same time, miseducating too many native-born, heritage Americans. We had enough trouble with African Americans and yet, those in power purposely imported more trouble despite the warnings of a few and lack of consultation with the American people. In the 1930s, we were a nation of under 200 million. We are now at about 330 million and counting. Where does it stop? At 500 million? A billion or more, when we can live on top of each other as they do in India or China?

I can see these occurrences of mass shootings increasing in frequency as more and more unstable people lash out in nihilistic rage. For those of us who have watched the country go down the tubes over the past 50 years and fought against it at every turn to no avail, the only option, short of declared open civil war, is to seek out small, like-minded communities, enjoy the simple things in life, and watch the chaos unfold from afar. It’s sad to witness, but at least I have nice memories of what the country used to be before it was purposely destroyed out of misplaced idealism and/or spite.

a bit ironic for political leaders to call out inchoate ‘white nationalism’ when the US government lavishly and unconditionally subsidizes Jewish nationalism (Zionism) each and every minute of each and every day?

The state governments of Michigan and Florida and others, mandate that Holocaust education be taught in the public schools, because genocide is wrong!, and school children in every grade need to be reminded of that as a moral absolute, so Never Again! does America look the other way while a genocide is being perpetrated!

Simultaneously, the Michigan and Florida and other state governments have passed a laws that condemn anyone who supports BDS and bans all state contracts with such businesses or individuals.

So, what they’re telling their school children, is that there was no crime ever so immoral as the ‘Holocaust’, and that all Americans should always feel guilty for what was done, because they (white, Christian Americans) didn’t do enough to stop it.

    And!

That anyone who opposes the modern-day genocide of the Arabs of Palestine, are so beyond the Pale evil and terrible, that no person of good faith should have anything to do with them.

    It’s the ultimate mind-fuck.

Genocide is the worst crime ever committed (if it was against the Jews).

But, if it’s the Jews who’re committing genocide, then we all must support that with all our moral fiber and being.

Trump is only the symbol, who will be shortly passing from the stage. Our enemies think long term. White millenial men and white male children are their ultimate targets. By the looks of it they are already filled with self-loathing due to constant brainwashing that they are evil. Those of age are afraid to have children.

The young white women are encouraged by Madison Avenue to race mix, leaving thousands of white males to be Incels. Is it any wonder that these shooters are probably Incels themselves? A retired FBI profiler was on Tucker last night, questioning that, if these young males had a chance to have girlfriends and form families these random shootings would not be happening to such an extent.

It is the democrats who are stoking a Race War, by calling these young males White Nationalists and White Supremacists. Most only want a fair shot in life, and they are not getting it. Hence their unbearable rage. They are coming for the guns next.

  31. I have not heard this yet written about the motive of the Dayton shooter. So here is a possible scenario.

It has been reported that, of the 9 people he killed, one was his sister and 6 were black. And the shooting happened outside of a bar, late on a Saturday night.

So, what were the odds that he just happened to kill his sister by accident? Pretty slim, I’d say. She may have been out with a black boyfriend, and he could have stalked her and targeted them both. The rest were collateral damage.

In some Islamic cultures, brothers kill their sisters when they have dishonored the family. They are called ‘honor killings.’ Tragic as this is, and I condemn his actions with every fiber of my being, but this theory makes sense to me.

BTW, it was also reported that the police got there within a minute of the start of the shooting rampage and killed him. I found that unbelievably quick response time a little strange. The cops must have been tipped off.

You don’t address yourself to your base — they’ve nowhere to go anyway, and most of them will still vote for you. You address yourself to those lying between you and your opponent — the great undecided middle.

Mr. Buchanan is Stagehand Right in the puppet show, channeling and diffusing dissent into votes for the GOP. He in this column cries crocodile tears over the unfair criticism of that great leader of Heritage America, President Trump.

Only the gullible support any of these Beltway people.

  57. Massacres during Obama: San Bernardino, Orlando, Virginia Tech, Connecticut School, etc. In Mexico drug cartel massacres happen DAILY killing many Mexicans and many foreigners including US Citizens. Mass shootings had been caused by the social cultural effects of Multiculturalism going chaotic, open borders, electoral fraud, and a general antiwhite agenda. MSM no longer talking about JEpstein, Lolita Island, AWAN BRos, Wasserman DNC fraud, Russia Hoax..

  58. I wonder what Marianne Williamson said. It was probably something like:

“Trump needs a spiritual awakening in order to see that love is the only answer because we all know that he really did the shooting himself and the right wing media is covering for him.”

Yeah, something like that, I’d bet.

Rutger died? I didn’t even know he’d been sick.

You are a master of understatement. 😉

Good points. And to those that know 911 was a Muslim mass murder, this is a small event.

  62. @peterAUS

He learned to love Big Brother.

  63. @Twodees Partain

    Yes, very sadly, July 19.

Rutger was a hero to Dutch and neo-noir cinema.
He was also a pacifist and environmentalist.

    As Tyrell said,
“You have burned so very, very brightly, Roy.”

    Will miss him.

BTW, in today’s weaponized, video-game society,
how many would pass pass Tyrell’s replicant test?

There is always another Muslim or a Muslim copycat.

Lol! Honky terrorists have started aping the hated muslims now?! Rofl!

I sense that you are feeling a red-hot rod up your hole due to falling number of muslim attacks (praise the Almighty One), and an increase in honky terrorism within the “homeland.” It totally screws up the whole racist Islamophobic narrative, yeah?

O my brother honkies… to the false-flag battle stations everyone!!

    You pathetic godless pagan whitrash!

    In some Islamic cultures…

    = standard deflection tactics.

I condemn his actions with every fiber of my being

    = standard boilerplate virtue signalling.

That said, he did a very ugly, demented, and evil thing, randomly shooting at people in a store. That’s no way to go.

That is what your demented “warriors” do all the time, all around the world… Support the mf’ing Troops, Oorah!!… goes the jingoist refrain.

It is the American way… it is who you are.

Dayton shooter went to a Catholic high school.
He seemed to harbor hatred of things Catholic — it was reported that he expressed the idea of shooting up University of Dayton campus. That’s a Catholic university.
