On the fifth night of rioting, looting and arson in Minneapolis, the criminal elements were driven from the streets.

By whom? By the same cops who had been the constant objects of media derision and mob hatred.

Without the thin blue line, far larger sectors of dozens of America’s cities would be in ruins, burned to the ground by the mobs that showered police and their vehicles with rocks, bricks, bottles, Molotov cocktails and any debris that could be thrown at them.

Because they were the first responders in these riots, the cops were the first targets of criminal assault and the last line of defense of the law-abiding.

Wherever they had to draw back or pull back, anarchy ensued.

Consider the decision of Mayor Jacob Frey and Police Chief Medaria Arradondo to surrender and abandon the 3rd Precinct. As police cars pulled out and the cops fled, the exhilarated rabble invaded, pillaged and burned the precinct.

And America saw, in astonishment, a triumph of anarchy.

One wonders what the world thought as it, too, watched.

Now, consider the political coloration of Minneapolis.

Frey, who ordered the surrender, is a far-left Democrat. Gov. Tim Walz is a liberal Democrat, as are both U.S. senators including Amy Klobuchar. Minneapolis Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is a soul sister of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Minnesota was the political home of Vice Presidents Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale and Senators Eugene McCarthy and Paul Wellstone, liberal icons all. The state has not voted Republican for president since 1972. Even Ronald Reagan never carried Minnesota.

Yet, of his home state, this citadel of liberalism, Walz said last week, “Systemic racism must be addressed if we are to secure, justice, peace and order for all Minnesotans.”

Query: How does “systemic racism” permeate a blue state dominated for decades by liberal Democrats? What explains the failure of Democrats who have long run Minnesota to root out racism?

Why have liberals failed to exorcise racism where they rule? Are even good Minnesota liberals infected with the virus?

What we witnessed this week in Minneapolis is a failure of liberalism. The leadership of the city and state could not persuade the protesters it claims to represent to remain peaceful. And when rioting, looting and arson erupted, and attacks on police began, that leadership sat morally and politically paralyzed.

The elites could not condemn both the killing of George Floyd and, with equal moral vehemence, the violent and criminal element that came to permeate the ranks of the protesters.

They failed to get sufficient law enforcement or the National Guard into the city on time, or to declare and impose a curfew, or to use requisite force to halt the rioting and looting.

As a result of their incompetence or cowardice, the custodians of the lovely city of Minneapolis let her be gang-raped by a criminal mob.

Why have those leaders not turned in their resignations?

Comparisons have been drawn to the 1960s.

ORDER IT NOW

In the summer of 1964, LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act. In 1965, the Voting Right Act was enacted after Selma. Then came one Great Society program after another, as LBJ declared at Howard University, we are moving beyond equality of opportunity to “equality of result” in America.

However, in August 1965, Watts exploded, the worst race riot since Lincoln sent Union troops to put down the New York draft riots of 1863.

Newark and Detroit had uprisings of similar magnitude in 1967.

In April 1968, for days after the assassination of Martin Luther King, U.S. cities were pillaged and burned, Washington, D.C., among them.

LBJ’s Kerner Commission said the cause of the riots that had come out of the black community was actually “white racism.”

Said Richard Nixon speaking for the silent majority: They seem to blame everybody for the riots but the rioters themselves.

Liberals of that era, too, seemed morally disarmed and politically paralyzed when it came to confronting criminal elements that emerged from minority communities and voted Democratic.

Such situations invariably seem to produce in liberals a paralysis where the crimes are attributed to a “few bad apples” hiding among all those “peaceful protesters.”

There is much chatter about “speaking truth to power.”

What does that mean today?

At the least, the recognition that while the killing of George Floyd was an atrocity that cries out for justice, so, too, does the rampant criminality that exploded in its aftermath.

But because of the failure to condemn that criminality, and the paralysis of Minnesota’s political leadership class, the black community in Minneapolis has lost hundreds of businesses — some forever — that had provided them with the necessities of a decent life.

Liberals may equate the term “law and order” with racism, but without law and order, there is no justice and no peace.

  1. Yeah. Why don’t the cops, those loving dear kind souls, just shoot everybody in the street and let God sort ’em out?

A sidebar: this ain’t exactly Newark or Detroit circa 1967 or Memphis or Washington or Baltimore or Chicago or KC circa 1968.

It’s rather small and polite in comparison. Surprisingly so.

I guess all you local yokel law and order weasels like the above essayist, are just a bunch of sissies, clutching your pearls like gangbusters in the face of a couple of people setting a couple of fires in a couple areas and grabbing up some TVs from some godawful chain stores, as they do regularly every couple of years. Except quite a few of these areas, for a change, are rich areas. That must be it. Actually burning down rich people’s places scares you silly because the rich are your friends.

    Dear Pat

You and others of your ilk not only failed to condemned the criminality but cheered and abetted the riots in Hong Kong while my city burned. Nancy Pelosi even said the riots in HK were a “beautiful sight to behold”. Both you and her don’t have to watch these beautiful views from the TV now but you can enjoy them right from your front porch.

Anarchy ? Nonsense. it is the fight for freedom and justice. I stand with the protestors like you did with the HK rioters.

Looting? What ? Like how your ancestors looted everything from the Indians.

You won’t even have to wait for judgement day to atone for your sins and hypocrisy.

    This is Karma NOW.

  4. Sorry Pat you really whiffed on this piece — the police (in reality, mercenaries) have NOTHING to do with either “law,” “order” or our Constitution.

We have a criminal govt. as it is run by lawyers. Most politicians and almost all Judges are lawyers. 90% of lawyers are criminals. Together, the 3 groups of lawyers (politicians, Judges, lawyers) have ganged up on the public to commit crimes and to impose anarchotyranny on us, using gobledygook fake legal opinions, warped legal reasoning that changes like a chameleon based on the case (result oriented legal mumbo jumbo) and even outright lies.

So they opted to condemn the trusty old standby: white supremacists.

And yet, if the rioters were white supremacists, why did Democrats refuse to unleash law enforcement on them? Why were Democrats effectively protecting white supremacists and allowing them to wreak havoc?

  13. There is something fundamental in the conservative mindset that thrives on a submissive adoration of violent authority figures, facts be damned.

The rebellions in Watts in 1965, Detroit and Newark and other cities in 1967 and in 1968 led to major reform efforts not because the ruling establishment had a change of heart but because the disruption of the nation’s business had become too severe and too costly.

It will not be peaceful, polite, carefully controlled and fenced-in protests but rather militant, unruly and “chaotic” actions and uprisings that will end the growing plague of police militarization that is infesting the United States, threatening all of us.

There will always be a need and room for peaceful protest, for petition signing, and for lobbying of politicians in Washington, state capitals and city halls. But without the threat, actual or potential, of chaos and destruction of property and the disruption of ordinary business operations lying behind those peaceful forms of protest, change is not going to come.

Which cities have the police saved? All I’ve been able to determine is that these riots are becoming more widespread every night and extending to areas where arson and looting have never taken place before. The thugs have become so bold that they announce in advance which areas are to be targeted and then the citizens of those neighborhoods are confined to their houses and apartments so they can’t defend the local stores where they shop. I’m told by contacts in Los Angeles that this is what is happening. The cops and their Fed equivalents will be lucky to save the White House from being torched if this insurrection continues. If the cops were effective, there would be no need to mobilize the National Guard and the regular Armed Forces.

  21. In the former Soviet bloc, there was a joke that the government is working extremely diligently to solve problems that were created by the government itself.

Let us start by admitting that there exists a police brutality problem and that cops kill and beat people up with frequency that cannot be justified. The victims of that brutality are sometimes White, too.

In that sense, the cops about whom Mr. Buchanan speaks so respectfully, work extremely diligently to solve problems that were created by the cops themselves.

    • Replies: @Craig Nelsen
  22. One small point, Mr. Buchanan:

“Because they were the first responders in these riots, the cops were the first targets of criminal assault and the last line of defense of the law-abiding.”

The “last line of defense of the law-abiding” is the individual. Law-abiding taxpaying citizens like I, who are ready and able and equipped to defend our homes, businesses and local community should it (unhappily) become necessary.

The Police have shown restraint–except during the event that sparked this fustercluck–and have shown that they can be forced (by their civilian masters) to stand down in the face of anarchy/disrespect/evil, and they are not required to defend any of us at all (as SCOTUS ruled so many years ago).

Thus, the last line of defense of the law-abiding is I, perhaps my neighbor and hopefully, even YOU, Mr. Buchanan.

Good luck to all of we who are: NOT racist, NOT hateful, NOT looters, NOT opportunists, NOT dishonest; we want our lives unencumbered, we were not slave-owners, and we will leave everyone alone as long as they leave US alone.

What I have seen of history is this though: When Blacks riot cities burn; when Whites riot continents burn.

We have nowhere else to go, no private jets to whisk us away to Costa Rica, Patagonia or New Zealand.

That makes us annoying. And dangerous. Locally. And only when provoked.

  25. The ‘thin blue line’ protecting people and property is propaganda. Cops and the entire justice system does no such thing.

Why not try an experiment. Fire all the cops in a given city on a future date specified allowing the local population to have fair warning. My bet is that the number of gun owners would rapidly multiply among the peaceful citizenry in anticipation of underclass mayhem. Further, I’d bet that crime would ultimately and quickly go down as criminals would get killed during their activities as opposed to being housed, clothed, fed and provided medical care during incarceration to be released to continue their criminal careers.

The concept of ‘the police’ is so stupid and has been on display as ineffective for so long I can’t believe people still think cops and the bulk of the criminal justice system is worth having. The criminal justice system protects the criminals from the put upon citizenry by making it near impossible for people to protect themselves and their property from the filth in the society.

Cops protect the political class – their paymasters. We need to get rid of cops and empower the average person to police their own sphere of influence while simultaneously reducing recidivist criminality and cost.

Racial integration in schools, “affirmative action,” and enforced equality, the liberal panacea for perceived injustice, has been a failure. Most blacks believe that whites are intractably racist and many whites believe that blacks are an inferior species. That’s why whites move to the suburbs when their old neighborhoods turn brown or black.

What is the solution (if indeed there is one) to this state of affairs? Is it to continue with the status quo tempered with more programs to educate the white masses in tolerance and inclusion. Or is it race replacement, which is an ongoing project of ultra liberal elites and tribalists?

Why are cops trying to defend blue cities?

    Let the progs defend themselves.

    I sort of agree.

Like San Francisco today, give the liberals (like the ((mayor)) of Minneapolis)- all the room they need to show the world how well their policies work, when implemented properly.

Repudiate the cops as white supremacists, tell the looting and burning rioters, that they’re the victims of an endemically racist society that needs to pay for it’s ongoing crimes against all ‘people of color’.

Send in AOC with a bullhorn, and show those liberal white Minnesotans what justice really looks like. Give it to them but good. Up close and personal.

It’s now the time for ‘privileged’ white janitors and waitresses and nurses and school teachers.. to find out what ‘social justice’ really means, when their uninsured (because they’re working class) car is set on fire, or they’re thumped in the head at the bus stop, for being the cause of everything that’s wrong with the black community.

The white liberals know it’s ‘whiteness’ that is the evil behind it all, isn’t it time for them to take their licks, and suffer for what they’ve done, and are doing, because they’re white?

Give all these cities plenty of room to make things right, without the cops or national guard to impose the ‘Patriarchy’. It was the Patriarchy that caused all the black violence and criminality in the first place, with its racism.

Now is the time to show the Patriarchy, (and all Americans and the rest of the world), what social justice really looks like.

Stay out of it, Mr. President. Let Minnesota solve Minnesota’s problems in Minnesota’s liberal and progressive way! Declare it a doubleplus-good sanctuary city, and guarantee an income, and tax the shit out of the privileged white business owners and workers and all the racism of ‘whiteness’, and let’s get this done once and for all!

That might be his real name and if it is that would make him Nigerian. A descendant of the people who kidnapped their fellow Africans into slavery, selling some of them to European slave traders.
Nigeria was one of the three main loci for the slave trade.
West Africa in the area of the Bight of Benin, where the Africans on the coast raided into the interior for slaves, keeping some of their own use, and selling most to European middle men. 80% of those went to the Portuguese colonizing Brazil, most of the rest to the French, Spanish and English sugar plantations around the Caribbean, and a small percentage to the US.
East African slave trade was through the Horn of Africa and the Arab ports on the Indian Ocean like Timbuktu. They fed the Muslim countries’ ongoing demand for slaves that went on until fairly recently but did not leave many legacy Africans in Muslim countries because of the Arab practice of castrating the men.
There was also a much smaller slave trade of Europeans run by North African Muslims who raided coastal villages around the Mediterranean and ships traveling through that sea. It was only around one to two million people, but they brought premium prices, particularly of course, the women and girls.

To hell with cops and cop worshipers.

you might consider a bit of nuance.

Sure, cops in the ZUS today are a problem. They’re often former military, and often trained in Israel, (of all places!)

But if you live among ‘vibrancy’, you’ll soon discover that you have a choice. Either you’ll deal with the vibrants on their own terms, (violence), or you’ll be victimized. And the thing about vibrants, is that they don’t care if they go to jail or prison, because they run those places. And they often have nothing to lose. No job, no reputation, no bills and no obligations. So it’s nothing for them to do a stint. But for most white folks, taking on the ‘diversity’ using their methods, will be catastrophic to their lives.

Just look at George Zimmerman, or even that cop with Michael Brown. What if you were the store-keep in that video that Michael Brown was slapping around and stealing from?

What would happen to you if you plugged the thug? (especially if you were white – George Zimmerman isn’t even white, but ((they)) made him white for their purposes).

The blacks would be going ape-shit on your arse, self-defense or no self-defense. The ((media)) would become your existential enemy, ditto all the local politicians, all shoving to be the first to condemn you for defending your self and your property.

So your options are be a victim/ take matters into your own hands/ or call the cops.

At least with the cops, you have a 50/50 chance.

Of course the smartest thing to do is move so far away from ‘diversity’ that you won’t have to make such choices, but that’s not easy for everyone.

It’s the difference between Mitt and Marco and Pence, vs. the (betrayed) Deplorables of the 2016 campaign.

The spirit of the Founders still lives, in places like the Bundy Ranch, where men (with guns) were still willing to tell the armed thugs to fuck off (or else ; )

Another way of looking at it, is how the looters and rioters are specifically avoiding rural America. It isn’t because rural America doesn’t have things to steal or ‘racists’ to menace, it’s because rural America has guns, and knows how to use them.

They aren’t sitting there hoping that Marco and Mitt will protect them. They know how to protect themselves. And They’re the legacy of our Founders, not Mitt or Marco or George Will.

  39. @Rurik

Sadly, what you say is largely true. An individual can not take on the low IQ mob.

But a whole town or city can.

If even a small town of just a few thousand people decided that crime was no longer going to be tolerated by making it known that they’ve fired all the cops and it’s vigilante justice from here on out, that town would see a few test cases and an equal number of corpses and when the Antifa and BLM types showed up they too would end up among the casualties.

A firm policy of ‘don’t tread on me’ with a smattering of dead predators would rapidly convince the mob that their message won’t sell in town. A test case town could convince neighboring towns to also consider standing up for their personal protection and property rights the old fashioned way.

Relying on the political class and their paid enforcers, the cops, to provide protection is a fantasy we can no longer afford to believe in.

All of the above, follyofwar, and more.

Like all presidents, he has the Fed to deal with. And the Fed is independent of the White House or any other governing body. They do what they want to do, and have the power to destroy the economy at the slightest whim. They can plunge us into a depression that will make the Great Depression look like a picnic, if it amuses them to do so.

So Trump (assuming he’s not one of them) has to play ball, because they’re all at the mercy of (((forces))) beyond their control.

I recently posted this video to another thread, (and it’s a bit long, but interesting).

I think this guy has put his finger on the last remaining hope for any president to rein in the Beast.

He quit the NSA in October, 2001, (if that says anything about him – unwilling to go along with the “new Pearl Harbor-like event).

He’s basically saying that the NSA is privy to it all. And that with ten guys, and a month, he could mine all the data of 9/11, Hillary’s emails and the treason around the “Russian-hacking ruse and spying on Trump, and all the rest of it.

A massive indictment of all the deepstate scum (Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Obama, Hillary, Bush and the rest) that’s destroying our nation and civilization.

Preach, Brother! But don’t you think a really important progressive idea is getting lost in all of this? Police brutality isn’t a bad, thing–it’s a neutral thing. Remember in The Watchmen how brutally the black cop tortured white supremacists? Wasn’t that so cool? I mean, woke mainstream television shows have been glorifying policy brutality for a long time, and it’s great because they are mindful and always show the police protagonists torturing, you know, Neo-Nazis and yuppie date rapists and all kind of other BadWhites.

The great martyr hero George Floyd was a drug addled violent criminal who did five years in prison for breaking into a woman’s house with a pack of thugs and shoving a gun in her gut. But he’s black, so he makes the perfect victim, and his treatment must be selectively deplored. But if he was white, he would be the perfect type of guy–woman abuser, etc–for fictional cops to torture to our wild applause! See? Are you getting it now? Keep doing your good work, comrade–but ya gotta educate yourself and be smart about it, Brother.

    Peace!

Another way of looking at it, is how the looters and rioters are specifically avoiding rural America. It isn’t because rural America doesn’t have things to steal or ‘racists’ to menace, it’s because rural America has guns, and knows how to use them.

Cops have guns. National Guardsmen have guns. They know how to use them, more or less. They’re in the cities with the protesters and rioters. It’s easier to organize a protest where the people are numerous, the distances of travel are less, the means of transportation are more available, the political power is greater and, for looters, the goods are in greater abundance. Additionally, the social and political impact of your protest are likely to be of greater effect than if the protest took place in End-of-the-Road Iowa. Sorry, but I don’t find your argument very convincing.

  47. botafeza 33, you’re making an economic argument that has no bearing on the legal one. Do you know what a failed state is in law? I shall tell you. A failed state is a state that cannot protect humans under its control from genocide or crimes against humanity or peace. You’ll see that’s exactly what the US is when you recall its serial crimes of aggression, an open-and-shut case of crimes against humanity of systematic and widespread torture, and evidently, now a germ warfare sneak attack in breach of the BWTC, the 1905 Hague Convention, and the 1925 Geneva Convention.

Reasonable people can differ on your economic argument, but the USA is a shitty place to live. Lots of repressive capacity and less and less protective capacity. You get asshole cops in tanks for free but you gotta pay if you get sick, and you might go bankrupt and get put on a $150/month food allowance but tough shit. Education on condition of lifetime debt peonage. Retirement benefits subject to continual chiseling.

When’s the last time you’ve lived somewhere else for a while? You would see. Even Africa has better health care because there are no private equity vultures out to fuck you. You have more economic security in mainland Europe. Russia’s better all around, you get your civil, political, economic and cultural rights – that’s the opposite of here.

The USG blows shit up real good, but to do it they spend ten times as much and piss away 95% on C-suite parasites so if there’s ever a real war, they lose.

Blacks are nearly 10 times more likely to commit inter-racial violent crimes than whites.

Blacks are far more likely to drop out of school.

Black women are far more likely to abort their babies than white women.

Black household are far more likely to be without a father than white households.

There is that 13/50 thing; and

  50. The sections about Minnesota are useful. It is downright providential that this incident happened in the state that has had unperturbed left-wing leadership and voting for 50 years. It should be used by those of us who are in good faith to make one last appeal to moderates of good-faith to stand down.
Here’s why. The liberalism of Minnesota proves there is no end-game for the demands of the protesters. It’s worse than a war where at least there are war-demands and a party can “sue for peace”. There is no leader to even represent the rabble to accept the offer of peace. If Minnesota has gotten nowhere in 50 years, how long do you think it’s going to take Alabama?

Like one commenter said on AR … he was in a dialogue on-line with a black female who was bullying him and saying that violence against whites is a message to whites that they will “Never Forgive” (a slight variation on the “Never Forget” meme).

Here at the house, I have a couple of decades plus of military experience. I have tools to dig in or out of natural disasters. I have extinguishers and hoses. I have a field trauma kit and bandages. I have weapons both melee and firearm. I know how to use them. I know how to trench, support and revet. I understand the fire triangle and appropriate approaches. I understand breathing, bleeding and shock. I know how to detain, restrain and control. I have done all of these at least occasionally, professionally. I’ve stood on top of a collapsing levee in a flood. I’ve fought a structure fire from inside so we could get everyone out before the fire department showed up, which only took two minutes, but people can die that fast. I’ve had structures collapse while I was working on them. I’ve been in an aircraft that had a “mechanical” on approach and had to be repaired in-flight before landing. I’ve helped control a brush fire. I’ve hauled disabled vehicles out of ditches in sub-zero weather.

My ex wife has over a decade of service and some of the same training.

We have trained our young adult children.

My wife is a rancher who knows her way around a shotgun, livestock, sutures and tools, hurricanes and floods, and works in investigations professionally.

Our current house guest is another veteran.

This means if anything happens at the house, and last year we had a lightning strike, a tornado and a flood within 10 days’ we’re pretty well prepared.

Now, we’re probably better off than 95% of the households out there. The level of disaster that necessitates backup varies.

If we find it necessary to call 911, it means the party is in progress and it’s bad.

You will probably not be going home safe at the end of your shift.

And you know what? If it gets to that point, I really don’t give a shit. I don’t give a shit if you get smoked. I don’t give a shit if you fall under a tree. I don’t give a shit if you get shot at.

Because at that point, I’ve done everything I can with that same circumstance, and run out of resources.

If my concern was “you going home safe,” then I’d just fucking hunker down and die. Because I wouldn’t want that poor responder to endanger himself.

Except, that’s what I pay taxes for, and that’s what you signed up for. Just like I signed up to walk into a potential nuke war in Germany and hold off the Soviets, and did walk into the Middle East and prepare to take fire while keeping expensive equipment functioning so our shooters could keep shooting.

There’s not a single set of orders I got that said my primary job was to “Come home safe.” They said it was to “support the mission” or “complete the objective.” Coming home safe was the ideal outcome, but entirely secondary to “supporting” or “completing.” Nor, once that started, did I get a choice to quit. Once in, all in.

When that 80 year old lady smells smoke or hears a noise outside her first floor bedroom in the ghetto, she doesn’t care if you go home safe, either. She’s afraid she or the kids next door won’t wake up in the morning.

If I call, I expect your ass to show up, sober, trained, professional. I expect you to wade in with me or in place of me, and drag a child out of a hole, or out from a burning room, or actually stand up and block bullets from hitting said child, because by the time you get there, I’ll have already done all that. And there will be field dressings, chainsawed trees, buckets and empty brass scattered about.

I don’t want to hear some drunk and confused guy squirming on the ground playing “Simon Says” terrified you so much you had to blow him away. I don’t want to hear that some random guy 35 yards away who you had no actual information on , may have reached toward his waist band. Or that “the tree might fall any moment” or that “the smoke makes it hard to see.”

Near as I can tell, I don’t hear the smokejumpers, or the firefighters, or the disaster rescue people say such things.

But it’s all I ever hear from the cops. If you and your five girlfriends in body armor, with rifles, are that terrified of actually risking your life for the theoretically dangerous job you volunteered for and can quit any time, then please do quit.

You can get a job doing pest control and go home safe every night.

Until a bunch of fucking pussies with big tattoos, small dicks, body armor and guns blow you away for minding your own business.

Because what you’re telling me with that statement is, your only concern is cashing a check. That’s fine. But if that’s your concern, don’t pretend you’re serving the public. If you wanted to help people at risk of life, you would be a firefighter, running into buildings, dragging people out, getting scorched regularly.

If you’re cool with writing tickets, then there’s jobs where you can do just that.

If you want to tangle with bad guys and blow them away, fair enough. But understand: That means they get to shoot first to prove their intent, just as happens with the military these days. Our ROE these days are usually “only if fired upon and no civilians are at risk.”

If your plan is “shoot first, shoot later, shoot some more, then if anyone is still alive try to ask questions,” and bleat, “But I was afeard fer mah lahf!” you’re absolutely no better than the thugs you claim to oppose. All you are is another combatant in a turf war I don’t care about.

Since I know your primary concern is “being safe,” then I’ll do you the favor of not calling. Cash your welfare check, and try not to shoot me at a “courtesy” sobriety checkpoint for “twitching my eye “in a way that suggested range estimation.

If you’re one of the vanishingly few cops who isn’t like that, then what the hell are you doing about it? If there’s going to be a lawsuit costing the city millions, isn’t it better that it be a labor suit from the union over the clown you fired, than a wrongful death suit over the poor bastard the clown shot? Both are expensive, but one has a dead victim you enabled. So how much do you actually care about that life?

How is the training so bad that it’s not clear who is the scene commander who gives the orders?

How is it that trigger happy bozos who, out of costume, look no different from the gangbangers you claim to oppose, get sent up front to fulfill their wish of hosing someone down because “I was afraid for my life!”?

Why does the rot exist in your department?

If you can’t do anything about it, why are you still in that department?

At some point, collective guilt is a thing.

You’ve probably not been a good cop for a long time.

And I still don’t care if you go home safe. I care that everyone you purport to “serve and protect” goes home safe.

  53. Pretty good, except for it being written by a tax parasite, married to a tax parasite, who got their “survival” training on the backs of force threats applied to productive folk. But a whole town or city can.

Perhaps even a state, or several states, all in a confederacy of defiance for the tyrannical regime in DC that allows thugs to run wild, carpet baggers to embezzle the public purse, and criminals and thieves immunity from justice.

We could call it; The Confederacy, and tell Uncle Sam to pound sand, we’re going to run our own things our way, thankyouverymuch.

Sounds like our Founding Fathers telling the English king to fuck off.

But then I suppose as soon as it was tried, we’d have federal marshals infested in the place before you could say Waco, TX. Or Ruby Ridge. Where people just wanted to be left in peace to live their lives and raise their children without hurting anyone.

There’s a reason the Confederacy had to march on DC, in order to prevail, and that’s because the fiend holed up there, is insatiable for power. And that means power over you, and power over me. And it will not be denied, unless it’s done so with force, the only language it understands.

So we’re sort of left with the voting booth as our last, pathetic, gossamer of ephemeral hope, floating away as Big Tech consolidates its AI database on us all.

They even came for the president of the ZUS, and tried to perpetrate a coup right here in front of us all, with the “Russian collusion’ idiocy and the Ukraine idiocy, and yet all I see is bovine apathy all across the land.

Once the Fed Gov goes the way of the USSR, albeit violently, the states will start experimenting. 50 experiments will quickly determine a winning strategy and I believe by that time the populace will have had enough of top down tyranny and fiat currency.

You’re right, I am a crack shot, but if I was teaching my teens how to handle a home invasion, a shotgun is just the ticket! And it won’t travel to the next farm over, and hurt any people or livestock. It does what it does, in close quarters, and the good guys live another day.

It was a quid pro quo. Trump get his ego massaged, and gets to yell at people and act like a spoiled brat, and we get to keep the Second!, (which is the guarantor for all the rest).

The country is an appendage to the city

The cities will burn, and the rural areas will become the Mad Max zones, where the denizens of the cities will come to find food and rampage and plunder. But rural America is armed to the n’th. And they know the nature of what’s coming. So I’m not too worried about them. It’s the city dwellers that I’m concerned about. They’re not all liberals and progressives (who deserve in spades what’s coming). 70. Among the protesters and rioters, we are seeing the psychological version of the Famine and Feast reflex.

In the wild, many animals go without food for long periods. They experience famine. So, when they finally find food, they go into feast mode. Not only are they hungry but they must feed as much as possible cuz they don’t know when the next big meal may be.

Prehistoric humans were much the same way. They might experience long periods of famine and then kill a mammoth and feast on the meat.

Every ideology or worldview creates a kind of hunger. It’s like Catholicism makes people hungry for visions of Mary or some such. Every credo makes people want to feel confirmed and justified in their faith, conviction, and commitment. It is a mental, moral, emotional, or psychological hunger.

As children, the confirmation of parental love is sufficient for emotional fulfillment. But as we grow older and more distant from our parents and family, we seek emotional fulfillment through ideology, idolatry, religion, or some kind of worldview; such becomes our ‘spiritual’ and/or intellectual parent. And this view makes us hungry for facts, news, stories, and/or visions that confirm our beliefs, faiths, and wishes.

Due to the reigning narrative and iconography, many Americans have come to believe in the Magic Negro, worship the black idol, and revere the black icons. They want to believe blackness is next to godliness, blacks radiate with wisdom, blacks have deeper souls, blacks are superior, blacks are sacred and holy. Whether it’s blacks sports, black music, black history, black heroes, black whatever, and etc., so many whites worship blackness and want to have their hunger satisfied. If some white women with jungle fever are hungry for Negro dongs, many whites with Jungle Faith are hungry for visions of Negroes anointed as The One. It’s why so many Americans were wetting their pants over snake oil salesman Obama.

But for all their faith, evidence is hard to come by… just like it’s hard for the Catholic faithful to see miracles. Jungle Faith is especially hard to fulfill because, in reality, blacks are the most savage, wild, thuggish, lunatic, infantile, obnoxious, and oogity people on earth.

So, this often leads to psychological famine. Such famine lead to great hunger for the feast. The hunger exists among both whites and blacks. If whites worship blacks, black worship themselves cuz they dominate sports and produce popular music stars. For blacks, that’s all they need for feeling superior. Also, what little education blacks get from schools and media is “No one suffered as we did, and American Slavery was the worst thing ever, and we be so tragic, and whitey done owe us everything sheeeeiiit. And whitey ‘racist’ pigs and KKK still be killing us and lynching us.”

But due to the real nature of blacks, it’s usually mental famine for whites and blacks. There really isn’t much to confirm the view that blacks are sacred. Indeed, even the much anointed MLK was a real creep. Obama turned out to be a phony. And most narratives about white-on-black ‘racist’ violence turn out to be bogus or complicated. George Zimmerman was not white, and he was attacked by Trayvon. The Baltimore case was resolved by a black city that judged the cops to be innocent. All the investigation into Ferguson case proved Michael Brown was no gentle giant. So, even though there were riots over those, they were still not fully satisfying as Moral or Emotional Feast because the facts weren’t so amenable to the Jungle Faith narrative. At best, they got a quarter-feast or half-feast than full feast. “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” was a lie.

Now, George Floyd was no angel, but finally, here’s a case where the cops really do come off badly. The black guy is handcuffed and on the ground. Was that much pressure necessary? So, by golly miss molly, the white cucks and blacks finally got a dream-come-true, a rare case that finally confirms the view that White Cops be ‘racist’ and murderous. What a Moral Feast after so much Moral Famine and the lean years. So, just like wolves that suffered famine for a long spell devour a bison or elk ravenously after a successful kill, white cucks and blacks are in a Feast frenzy with the latest mammoth meal as such meals are so few and far in between. They finally bagged a good one, and as they don’t know when the next one will be, they are eager to feast as much as possible to prepare for the long famine before the Next One. White cucks finally feel sanctimonious in their compassion for the Magic Negro, and blacks finally have something like a real excuse to riot and loot.

Now, one may ask, what about all the news and stories of non-black victims of blacks? Don’t blacks and white cucks care about those? Maybe they should, but that’s not how the ideological or spiritual mind works. It only care for what confirms their biases and hungers. Just like a communist ignores all the evidence of capitalist success to shore up his commitment to holy Marx and just like religious people ignore so much scientific facts to uphold their faith, the PC whites who worship blacks and blacks who worship themselves ignore all reality except what gives them meaning as devotees to Jungle Faith. So, even if 100 facts go against them while only 1 goes for them, they will go with the one because the dynamics of faith is about the hunger for confirmation of one’s sacred convictions.

There is something fundamental in the conservative mindset that thrives on a submissive adoration of violent authority figures, facts be damned.

Yep. It’s sad and pathetic and disgusting. If he sees a cop a conservative’s immediate instinct is get down on his knees.

Cops have always known that if they abused their powers and killed people without justification they would almost certainly get away with it. Obviously that needs to change. Cops need to be made aware that if they abuse their powers they will face serious jail time. But conservatives just don’t seem willing to admit that such a change is needed.

“Because they were the first responders in these riots, the cops were the first targets of criminal assault and the last line of defense of the law-abiding”…more probably they were targeted BECAUSE they were cops & the “last line of defense of the law-abiding.” The fake news was on the scene pronto too – & always sympathetic to the rioters cum protesters – & they were not targeted at all. It should be pretty clear that the hoods were looking to test the resolve of the “thin blue line” right from the start – & they found it wanting, which only whetted their aggression. The initial policy of appeasement & self-blame of cringing pol’s like Frey & Walz et.al., just egged the mob on. Protesters in Boston – another liberal nuthouse – surrounded Police Hdqt.’s downtown last night & chanted “take a knee”; & officers on-duty outside the building meekly obeyed, dropping down & holding up the two-finger peace sign in virtual surrender. That’s the difference between now & the 60’s, the ‘silent majority’ is in retreat: still silent but no longer a majority. The state politician’s no longer have the backs of their ‘thin blue lines’ & the cops know it. Chauvin – even his wife has deserted him now – & his partners will probably get a longer sentence than James Fields. There’s no George Wallace in the political field this time as their was in ’68. And even if there was, he wouldn’t likely even be able to carry one state, let alone five & millions more votes in others. The last hope for ‘law and order’ left today is in the Oval Office, wondering what to do next.

The first thing the Union did was throw up a naval blockade around the South. Grant’s victories along the Mississippi cemented the North’s dominance of the sea lanes. While the South went for the North’s jugular, Washington D.C., the North played the long game and starved the South of manufactured goods, i.e. muskets and cannon and revenue it would have derived from its cotton trade with which it would have been able to carry on foreign trade for those things it could not manufacture itself.

The moral; marching on D.C., while commendably brave, may not win the war in the long run. The problem with Waco etc. is that they can be surrounded and starved out.

If the Chinese didn’t supply it the CIA would, so the end result is that the low life trash gets what it wants. Why blame the supplier only? In fact, why blame the supplier at all?

The whole drugs being illegal situation could be fixed overnight by simply affording to currently illicit drugs the same prohibitions as to cabbages – none at all. Allow people to make and take whatever they want. Ignore drugs under law; don’t make them legal; ignore them.

I do believe that Trump is very much inclined to destroy his enemies and that his enemies are also my enemies. That’s what keeps me in his camp despite seriously flawed foreign policy. I keep saying Trump ain’t much but he’s all we’ve got. The other side hates me and hates my county.

You have as much of a handle on it as I do, WorkingClass. (thanks btw).

For all of Trump’s foibles, he calls the media ‘the fake news, and ‘enemy of the people’. Just that is astounding. I never imagined that in my lifetime I’d ever hear a president of the United States speak such solid truth to power.

I don’t know how a guy like Trump can be so savaged by the (((media))) and assorted race pimps like Maxine and Schiff and the rest, and not have a grudge. I think he decided to run for president at that dinner where Obama was publically mocking him for the ‘birther’ thing, and so I think he does take some things personally.

I talked to a youngster the other day, and he told me the Twitter realm, (of which I know nothing) is frothing with how Trump is responsible for it all, the death of Floyd, the riots, the virus, the economy, and everything. It’s all Trump’s fault!, they seem to be repeating to each other on Twitter.

And the thing that I’ve glimmered, is that it never really is about Trump the man. He is but a symbol for what they truly hate: unapologetic white men with their nutsack still intact. Especially the working class. As your moniker says. Because the working class (like myself) are not the George Cloony type of metro-sexual, Obama-worshiping, ‘woke’ status-whoring cucks.

And you don’t even have to be actually working class, you can even be a Hollywood script writer, and they’ll still toss you under the bus, if you show you’re still in possession of your cajones.

Gore wrote within a now-deleted Facebook post: “Sunset is being looted two blocks from me. You think I won’t light mother——s up who are trying to f— [with] my property I worked all my life for? Think again…”

…he “is no longer a Paradigm client. We condemn his post in the strongest possible terms.”

So in their cucked out world, defending your property from criminal thugs trying to loot and steal, is now racist and beyond the pale.

    lol

here is the offending physiognomy who presumes the right to defend himself, his family and property.

He’s guilty before he says a word.

That’s what they hate. Not Trump, but the face in that photo.

The unapologetic, unabashedly male, straight, white, gun-owning, balls-intact American man.

Trump is simply a metaphor for that man’s face, and everything he represents.

It’s why so many ethnics are also filled with hatred for Trump. Chinamen and Muslims and Mexicans and a lot of others that come here to dump on Trump, because it gives them an oblique way to dump on what they really hate, that face. And everything it represents for them. Western civ, and their butt-hurt at not having created it themselves.

But that being said, there actually are legitimate grievances that some people have for Trump’s policies. Palestinians, for one. Iraqis too, who told us to get the fuck out, after the assassination of that general, and Trump’s has failed to do so, proving that our participation there (occupation) is an affront to all pretenses of legitimacy.

So some people do have a legitimate grievance against Trump, as do I- for many of his cucked-out pandering to the tribe.

But NOT the sub-human thugs and orcs and Antifa fags and cucks running around like savages burning and looting. They’re problem is the man in that photo. That is what and who they’re burning in effigy as they light businesses and homes on fire. And howl and froth their impotent rage.

I understand that there are some indigenous peoples (and whites whose families have lived there for years) who would love to leave the crumbling Union.

If enough additional whites, guns in tow, re-located there, would they be able to defend the territory of Alaska from the Federal predators? Or, would the rest of the country be so far gone that Washington, unable to quell the unrest at home, threw up its hands and let it go?

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, (as has been lamented).

It’s why a cop tortures a prostrate man. To impose his power. His dominance. That’s why they burned those people at Waco. To impose their power on them. Their absolute dominance. It was the wrath of power, which was being defied at Waco, and in Minneapolis, (and at Dresden and Gaza and Fallujah and so many other places) that was unleashed, because there’s a fiend that lurks in the human id. A reptile from the ancient slime in our DNA. Christians call it the devil, but I call it the limbic system. where demons lurk.

It’s why Sherman burned the South, and why they imposed the cruel ‘Reconstruction’. Because power had been defied, and power does not like to be defied.

This is the reason I rarely go a day without thanking the Gods, that Hillary Rodham Clinton is not in the White House today. Because few people on this planet, (if any!) are more consumed with wielding raw power over others than the war hag.

The Famine/Feast Reflex was also evident in America’s response to Pearl Harbor and WWII.

One reason Americans were so excited to destroy the ‘Japs’ was they finally had a morally justifiable reason for war. Prior to WWII, all US military involvements were morally suspect. US used imperialism to take SW territories from Mexico. US defeated Spanish Imperialism only to grab the spoils and be an imperialist power itself. US involvement in WWI made no moral sense. Over 100,000 Americans died in one year of fighting to protect banker interests, and that was one reason why so many Americans became ‘isolationists’ after the war. They felt betrayed by the elites who’d pushed the war.

And yet, American Ideology was heavily moralist, and its founding myth was about American underdogs resisting the evil British Empire. So, most of American History in foreign policy had been more famine than feast. No matter how much Americans justified their influence around the world, it was morally half-baked. It was imperialism with veneer of spreading human rights. Though Americans did their best to convince themselves the rightness of their ways abroad, it was never fully satisfying or fulfilling.

Then, it’s understandably why Americans took to Pearl Harbor with such a Feast mentality. Go all in, destroy the ‘Japs'(and Nazis allied with Japan), and win, win, win. Though in retrospect, Americans weren’t exactly angels in the whole affair, the fact is it was a dastardly sneak attack by Japan that led to deaths of thousands. For the first time, the US had a war narrative where it was the victim of aggression than the aggressor pretending to be moralist. Thus, the moral narrative of US in WWII was far more fulfilling, and Americans feasted on war fever. It was so powerful that even the nuking of Japanese cities didn’t lead to nausea.

60 yrs later, there was 9/11, and this seemed like second Pearl Harbor or even ‘better’ as NY and DC were attacked than some faraway naval base. And most dead were civilians than military men. And yet, 9/11 didn’t turn into such a moral feast because the enemy was so unclear. So, all that horror was done by cave dwellers in Afghanistan? And once US invaded Afghanistan, it was unclear what exactly the US was doing or whom exactly the US was fighting to right the evil of 9/11 attack. At least, the Empire of Japan was clear for all to see. But who was it that did 9/11? Some vague network of Alqaeda? The Taliban? If so, what about Saudi ties and Dancing Israelis? Total silence on that. Next, the US capitalized on still lingering Moral Feast mentality to invade Iraq, but that immediately divided the nation as many knew Iraq had nothing to do with it while others thought that Bush’s success with the war might do wonders for GOP-Jewish relations. Their fears were unfounded as events unfolded. So, 9/11 no longer inspires anyone.

But US role in WWII is still held up as a great moral feast. Korean War, a police action, failed to get Americans interested. Vietnam War ended up as a big moral vomit in the end. Gulf War turned out to be all hype. So, only WWII remains as the Good War or Good Moral Feast in American History, and it is why the Deep State, whenever it wants war, still invokes WWII and Pearl Harbor and Hitler.

Bluedog, it wasn’t our “balls that were nutted at birth,” it was our goddamn penises (circumcision). Personally, I’ve always regretted spending my life with a mutilated Jewish penis, which I had never asked for. Thanks Mom and Dad and the doctor who cut me.

American whites have had their penises cut for so long that they have no idea it is NOT NORMAL. Christians for centuries thought that genital mutilation was an abomination, now they think it is medically necessary. That’s how much they have been brainwashed by the Jewish medical establishment.

We circumcised men may never know to what extent we have been harmed (cucked?) by genital cutting. Most live in Denial. All I know is that our nation’s European founders were far braver and made of sterner stuff than us. And, not coincidently, their penises were all intact.

Because to a point, he’s right, it isn’t only ‘the Jews’.

Most people here on a place like Unz, by now know that the drug war was and is a miserable failure and a terrible folly, and that like all Eternal Wars, it’s being fought for the benefit of those profiting from the war, and not on the people’s behalf.

If John Johnson is sincere, and simply unbelievably naïve, then I agree with you, that a certain gentle coaxing is the proper course. But it’s difficult in his case to know if he’s participating in good faith… or not.

  113. @WorkingClass

I don’t mince words. I say it straight with no attempt at sugar coating anything.

The drug problem really isn’t a problem. It only becomes a problem with a unique identity because the law makes it so. Get rid of the laws and the problem disappears.

If there were no laws targeting what are now illicit drugs, then people would take them and some would die and other wouldn’t. That’s how life works. It’s the same for people driving beyond their limits, ruining their livers with alcohol, etc. Drugs are special so the gov’t can provide jobs for thugs in costumes to beat people up, steal their stuff and even kill them for no valid reason. Just look at pot. Today we have people in prison for pot possession while simultaneously having IPO’s for cannabis corporations. The law / gov’t is the problem. Personally I could care less what dopers do to themselves.

Yep. A perfect example being the homo Zionist Paul Joseph Watson, who even traveled to Hong Kong to support the CIA terrorists there.

Although in his case, I suspect the motive was partly about gaining access to young, submissive Chinese boys.

Tucker’s really been knocking it out of the park this week in reference to the civilization destroying riots and looting. LA Mayor Garcetti, who had planned to lockdown his city all summer, has been one his favorite targets. Tucker ridiculed the mayor for taking a knee to the protester thugs standing over top of him. Sadly, many police depts. throughout the country have done the same.

In the wealthy white DC suburb of Bethesda, a video was shown of hundreds of white people in a park (most appeared to be women) holding up their hands and reciting in unison, at the direction of the not shown “minister,” their sorrow and guilt for their unearned white privilege and obedience to their BLM oppressors. Tucker called it a new religion – the religion of SUBMISSION to the conquering army.

The drug problem really isn’t a problem. It only becomes a problem with a unique identity because the law makes it so. Get rid of the laws and the problem disappears.

If there were no laws targeting what are now illicit drugs, then people would take them and some would die and other wouldn’t. That’s how life works.

Good thinking. Really we should get rid of all laws.

We should get rid of our insane laws against car theft. Without those laws some people would lose their cars and some wouldn’t. That’s how life works.

And ludicrous laws against murder. Without those laws some people would get murdered and some wouldn’t. That’s how life works.

We should get rid of all laws that can’t clearly identify a victim.

Your nonsense is easy to debunk. Theft deprives an individual of their property. Murder deprives an individual of their life.

What precisely did outlawing marijuana do for decades now that it’s not only legal but taxed to the hilt by the same fools that made it illegal before?

What is the benefit of making cocaine, heroin, etc illegal? All it does is give more power to gov’t to tell people how to live their lives and gives jobs to the mental midgets that carry a weapon in gov’t service.

    Typical left wing garbage.

The left wing position is to let them do drugs. The left stopped trying to fight drugs when they realized how many dealers were non-White.

Let the junkies OD. Don’t treat them. Let them die when their luck runs out.

You think it is that simple? So what if someone reports an unconscious person in the street? Is the 911 operator supposed to ask if that person was doing drugs?

For every dealer you arrest and tax the working class for their incarceration, there’s another dozen waiting to take over.

There is a long line of replacement dealers because they only get slapped on the wrist.

Legalize all drugs, let the addicts die and open the borders. The Libertarian plan for a better society.

Should put that on a T-shirt and donate the proceeds to the LP.

Might even sell 1 or 2 of them.

  136. @John Johnson

I’m defending the status quo? Not likely.

I want all drug laws repealed. I don’t want laws written for what are now illicit drugs making them legal, I want the same laws for all drugs just like the laws on cabbage – no law at all; ignore all drugs under law.

By all drugs, I mean ALL drugs even what are now the prescription scam. I want all drugs over the counter to reduce medical costs. I want to drive the profit motive out of the now illicit drug trade by removing what makes them lucrative for the dealers, namely the fact that they’re illegal. It is the illegality that provides the profit motive and incentive to move that shit. Allow anyone and everyone to provide cocaine, heroin, etc and the violent gangs will lose interest because the price will drop like a rock.

You are the one that wants to apply force via stupid laws that have never worked and never will work. I’m the one that wants the removal of all force (gov’t stupidity) to allow people to consume whatever they want and then deal with the consequences. I don’t want to pay for all the ineffective drug warriors and the costs of the incarceration for a made up crime. If someone can consume alcohol, the same should apply to cocaine etc. The drug laws create a crime via statute where there is no victim.

  137. @John Johnson

I said nothing about borders. Stop putting words into my mouth.

You might want to consider your no thinking necessary gov’t propagandized position on the drug problem. Why not think things through keeping in mind that the ‘war on drugs’ is and has been an abysmal failure for 50 years.

The CIA runs the drug trade in Afghanistan. The CIA has supplied drugs to some of the major cities. The CIA has run guns to the drug cartels. Do you see a pattern here?

Why not discover who the bad guy REALLY is by opening your eyes and mind.

BTW I’m no Libertarian. I’m an anarchist – rules but no rulers. Everything gov’t touches turns to shit. But I’d bet you have no real idea what political anarchism means. It’s not a bomb throwing Boris Badenov.

I’m defending the status quo? Not likely.

You are defending the status quo of Seattle, SF and much of New Jersey.

They have decriminalized possession and it has been a disaster.

Drug use did not decrease and now those cities are covered in junkies.

By all drugs, I mean ALL drugs even what are now the prescription scam. I want all drugs over the counter to reduce medical costs.

That was the argument of decriminalization. It was supposed to save costs but now those cities have more junkies robbing people, s–ting in public, leaving needle around, ruining public spaces, etc.

Legalizing heroin and meth has already been tried in the US. It simply hasn’t made things better and I have no doubt that SF citizens would like to go back to jail time for possession.

If you made all prescription drugs over the counter you would overwhelm the ERs.

The pharmacist isn’t just there to hand you drugs in a paper bag. The pharmacist checks for potential complications and also that the Dr prescribed the right amount. When people are taking 5 or 6 drugs you get really complex chemical interactions. Pharmacy is a lot more complicated than everyone thinks.

  139. @RoatanBill

But I’d bet you have no real idea what political anarchism means. It’s not a bomb throwing Boris Badenov.

There hasn’t been an agreed upon definition of anarchism since the 1900s.

So yes I have no idea what it really means and neither do anarchists.

This is nothing new. Anarchists have blown people up without an explanation for exactly what they wanted. Read about the 1919 bombings.

  140. @RoatanBill

You are the one that wants to apply force via stupid laws that have never worked and never will work.

    Worked for China’s opium addiction.

  141. @Chinaman

Absolute nonsense. Hong Kong is a society fighting for freedom against one of the worst dictatorships on the planet. Rioters in America are in the freest country in the planet. Don’t compare ridiculous China against an actual civilized country, pal.

You don’t “stand” with anyone , because you’re a corrupt Chinese – one of the worst countries on earth with absolutely ZERO CONCEPTION OF RIGHTS OR JUSTICE OR FREDOM. You aren’t a civilization, you’re a savage armed horde, from the time of the Khanates till today. That’s why you side with rioters- savages will side with savages.

America looted NOTHING from the Indians – because the Indians had NOTHING. Every road, highway, factory every last bit of American wealth was CREATED by Americans. I hardly think a bunch of Neolithic tribes created the greatest economy on Earth now did they!?
