The leaders of Black Lives Matter want to “defund the police”. They think “systemic racism” and “police brutality” are so bad that police budgets must be cut dramatically in order to reduce the number of cops on the beat. They believe that fewer cops will move the black community closer to their goal of racial justice.

This is the basic theory behind the idea of defunding the police. There’s only one problem with the theory, it’s wrong. Simply put: Blacks don’t want fewer cops. Here’s the scoop from Newsweek:

A majority of Black Americans have said they want police presence in their area to either remain the same or increase, despite recent protests over police brutality, according to new polls.

A Gallup poll conducted from June 23 to July 6 surveying more than 36,000 U.S. adults found that 61 percent of Black Americans said they’d like police to spend the same amount of time in their community, while 20 percent answered they’d like to see more police, totaling 81 percent. Just 19 percent of those polled said they wanted police to spend less time in their area.

Black Americans’ responses to the question were nearly on par with the national average, in which 67 percent of all U.S. adults said they wanted police presence to remain the same and 19 percent said they wanted it to increase.” (“81% of Black Americans Don’t Want Less Police Presence Despite Protests—Some Want More Cops: Poll”, Newsweek)

Why isn’t this on the front-page of the New York Times?

Well, because the facts don’t jibe with the media’s political agenda, right? From the very beginning, the only people supporting this crazy idea have been the lying media and their wacko-BLM allies. As you can see, the idea has no base of support among the black community because the majority of blacks are no different than the majority of whites. They want to be safe in their homes and in their neighborhoods. They want to know that they can walk to the corner grocery store without be beaten senseless with a 2×4 or shot-dead by some junkie gangbanger who needs money for his fix. The average guy is not worried about “systemic racism”, that’s way above his pay-grade. The average guy just wants to be safe. That’s it. That’s not my conclusion, that’s the opinion of the more than 80% of the blacks who took the survey and stated they wanted as much or more “police presence” as they have now.

So, the matter is settled. The majority has spoken and democracy should prevail, right?

Wrong. Because BLM is led by fanatics that have no regard for the will of the people. And why should they, after all, they know better than everyone else. And they can count on the help of their mainly-white supporters in Seattle, Portland and Minneapolis, to ignore the majority opinion and push ahead with their nutso “defunding” agenda.

In Seattle, the Mayor actually allowed part of the city to be taken over by the mob and turned into its own sovereign state called CHOP (Capitol Hill Occupied Zone). The liberal mayor figured this new “police free” zone would signal the beginning of another “Summer of Love” like Haight-Ashbury in the 1960s. Unfortunately, CHOP was plagued with violence from the very get-go and three people were shot dead in violent encounters in the first two weeks. In other words, Seattle has already experimented with “police free” zones and they have incontrovertible proof that they don’t work. No matter. Seattle is moving ahead with its defunding idea regardless. After all, facts don’t matter to these people. What matters is ideology, liberal ideology.

And you wonder why we call them fanatics?

In Minneapolis– another bastion of liberalism– the City Council just created “a department of community safety and violence prevention,” with a director who would have “non-law enforcement experience in community safety services, including but not limited to public health and/or restorative justice approaches.”

“Restorative justice”? In other words, the department will be staffed with over-educated social workers in thick-rim glasses who ‘ll be dispatched to domestic violence scenes where they’ll engage the bloody couple in “crystal” therapies and chanting? And this is supposed to move us all closer to racial justice?

Wouldn’t it be easier to reform the system? Wouldn’t it make more sense to simply remove the overly-aggressive or racist cops and let the rest do their jobs? Do we really need to reinvent the wheel? Let’s remember, the vast majority of African Americans want to be safe and secure. Not one of the 36,000 adults that were surveyed asked for “restorative justice” which is clearly a remedy that emerges from that bottomless wellspring of white guilt. That’s not what ordinary people want. They don’t want to be patronized; they want security. Check out this excerpt from an article by Thomas Friedman:

“Among those opposing this change (in Minneapolis) is a budding coalition of Black and white community leaders from North Minneapolis, the historical home of the Minneapolis Black community. They are unnerved by the notion of dismantling the police force for a vague alternative at a time when their neighborhood has experienced a surge in gang shootings, lootings and drug dealing…

On Aug. 18, this coalition — four Black and four white families from North Minneapolis — filed suit against the City Council and the mayor, Jacob Frey, to compel them to maintain the legal minimum of police officers on the Minneapolis force. The families contend that the Council’s actions have driven out too many police officers and curtailed the hiring of replacements, endangering their neighborhood….

The State Legislature, they also argued, “must change arbitration rules that too often demand bad cops be rehired after being fired for abusive policing.”

But they added: “We will not sacrifice the safety of our community in the pursuit of the City Council’s lofty goals with no plan to back them up. In the months since George Floyd’s murder, we have seen an explosion in crime and homicides….

This is the bottom line: “By charter the Council must maintain a per capita force in the mid-700s of active duty officers. While this is not enough for our needs, we worry that the Council’s naïve intent is to take us well below this number. And we are not having it. If the leadership of the city cannot muster the wisdom to keep us safe, it must muster the compliance to obey the law that is designed to do so.”…

“We have to be able to say both that Black lives matter and that protests that turn violent cannot be allowed to tear up our city”…(“For Biden to Win, Listen to Minneapolis”, New York Times)

See? Even Tom Friedman “gets it”, so why is this an issue?

It’s an issue because BLM has made it an issue, so the Democrats and media are playing along. The Dems don’t want to alienate a core constituency this close to the general election so they’re going along with this farce. Are you surprised? Heck, it took Joe Biden three months to even speak out against the rioting, looting and arson. That tells us that Biden puts politics above everything, even public safety. Which is why his public approval ratings have been falling like a stone. Check out this article from the Washington Times:

“President Trump’s approval rating among Black voters jumped by 60% during the Republican National Convention even as Democrats and progressives sought to brand the Republican president as racist.

A HarrisX-Hill poll released Friday showed Mr. Trump’s net approval with Black voters from Aug. 22-25, which included the first two days of the RNC, rose to 24%, up from 15% in the pollster’s Aug. 8-11 survey.

The poll also found his approval rating among Hispanic voters during the same period increased slightly from 30% to 32%, while his support among White voters decreased by the same margin, ticking down from 54% to 52%.” (“Trump’s approval rating with Black voters soars by 60% during RNC: poll”, Washington Times)

True, the Times does suggest that Trump’s surge among black voters has more to do with the Republican convention, but his approach to the BLM riots have certainly helped him. Unlike Biden, Trump does not check the direction of the wind before he makes a decision. He displays the type of moral clarity and strength that people expect from their leaders in times of crisis. Trump has never vacillated on his offer to deploy the National Guard to Democrat-run cities to quell the rioting and violence. Like him or hate him, Trump is a resolute leader who is willing to use an iron-fist to reestablish order. Many people believe that those harsher measures are now necessary to keep the country from slipping deeper into the abyss of anarchy and ruin. In fact, steps should have been taken long ago. We should never allow our cities to be incinerated by hooligans. Check out this excerpt from USA Today:

“Riots are turning people off to BLM…

Democrats may have hoped that the national reckoning on race would be a favorable issue for 2020. But the street violence has overwhelmed their reform message….The Civiqs tracking poll is particularly interesting for understanding the dynamics at play. Net approval for the Black Lives Matter movement peaked back on June 3 and has fallen sharply since. This was just over a week after George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis, when riots had begun to sweep major cities.

Among whites, net approval is already negative and headed downward. And while Democrats and Republicans are as polarized on the issue as one would expect, white Independents have shown a dramatic falloff in BLM support, going from a net 24% in early June to net 3% now, which is lower than before Floyd was killed. Of course, BLM is not synonymous with rioting, but this trend may show the extent to which the issues have been conflated in the public mind.

“Defund the police” has lost its luster as a political issue, if it ever really had any. Some cities have cut police budgets and reallocated funds to social programs, but positive buzz about this on the national level has vanished” (“Rioting is beginning to turn people off to BLM and protests while Biden has no solution”, Yahoo News)

And, then there’s this from Politico:

“Voters’ favorable views of the Black Lives Matter movement has dropped by 9 percentage points since June, including a 13-point dip among Republicans, according to new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll…the POLITICO/Morning Consult poll shows more voters trust former Vice President Joe Biden over Trump to handle public safety, 47 percent to 39 percent.” (Politico)

Bottom line: Trump’s public approval is rising just as BLM’s is falling. Are you surprised?

You shouldn’t be, nor should you be surprised that BLM burst onto the scene precisely 6 months before the general election. Pretty good timing, don’t you think? Clearly, the Democrats engineered this coup so they could confront Trump on an issue on which they think he is vulnerable: Race. The Democrats also want to energize their black base to make sure they vote in greater numbers than they did in 2016 when dwindling turnout among African Americans cost Hillary the election. The Dems want to make sure that doesn’t happen again which is why they have been kowtowing to black voters for the last three months. It’s all part of the campaign strategy: Black Lives Matter… until November 3, that is. Then it’s back to business as usual.

But now we see that BLM activists are being shuttled from one riot-torn city to the next by deep-pocket contributors who are using them to burn our cities and obliterate the middle class. In an interview with Fox’s Laura Ingraham on Monday, Trump discussed this very issue. He confirmed that activists had been flown in to Washington DC for the Republican convention to cause trouble and harass attendees. He said these demonstrators were bankrolled by “some very stupid rich people.” Here’s more from the same article:

“The money is coming from some very stupid rich people [who] have no idea that if their thing ever succeeded, which it won’t, they will be thrown to the wolves like you’ve never seen before,” he said….

The president added that “people you’ve never heard of, people in the dark shadows” may be facilitating much of the left’s activism….We had somebody get on a plane from a certain city this weekend, and in the plane it was almost completely loaded with thugs wearing these dark uniforms, black uniforms with gear and this and that.” (“Trump suggests ‘some very stupid rich people’ are funding protest groups, rioters at RNC and across US“, Fox News)

Is this true, are the activists part of some broader conspiracy to inflame racial antagonisms and incite violence around the country?

Senator Rand Paul seems to think so. Paul –who was viciously attacked following the GOP convention last week– had this to say in an interview with Fox News:

“If the cops had not been there, we would have been drug to the pavement, and kicked and stomped until we were bleeding from our ears like the people in Portland ..This needs to stop…

We need to put these people away until we find out who is funding them, how they are getting there (to the protests)…They are staying in $600 to $1,000 dollar a night hotels. They fly on planes to get here. …Some of the people we picked out in the footage of the group attacking us, are from other cities and we have seen them in riots in other cities. So, we now see the people that are flown from Portland, to Minneapolis, to DC to these riots.. It is not your first amendment right to trap people, terrorize them and threaten to kill them. That is not your first amendment right.”

Fox Interviewer– “Who is funding them?”

Senator Rand Paul– “We need to look at their financial records, see where the money’s coming from, we should subpoena airline records …of the people that are accused of a crime …And it is a crime to threaten people and to incite a riot.” (“Rand Paul on Surviving an Attack of the Mob (8.31.20)Lew Rockwell)

Trump was harshly criticized in the media for saying that a plane “loaded with thugs” was sent to DC to cause trouble. The New York Times dismissed Trump’s claims as a “conspiracy theory”, but — in the same article– the Times suggests that Trump was right. Here’s an excerpt from the article in Thursday’s edition:

“(Attorney General William) Barr said the Justice Department had received reports that people from the West Coast and other parts of the country had flown to Washington to exploit protests for racial justice as opportunities to attack law enforcement and damage property.

“We received numerous reports of individuals coming from Portland, Washington — Seattle — and several other cities to come into Washington for the specific purpose of causing a riot,” Mr. Barr said in an interview with CNN. “I think there were many on planes.”

His comments echoed remarks made by Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, who said in a recent news conference that violent clashes had occurred over the weekend between the police and protesters, and that outsiders who had come to Washington to fight with law enforcement were largely to blame.

“What we saw were agitators who descended on the city,” Ms. Bowser said. “It sounds like many of them came on Wednesday and Thursday armed for battle with fireworks, baseball bats, laser pointers, and they were looking for the police to confront. They set fire to local newspaper boxes, accomplishing absolutely nothing.”

Mr. Barr’s response… reinforced the president’s comments about agitators, primarily on the political left, working to turn Washington, D.C.; Portland, Ore.; Kenosha, Wis.; and other cities into dangerous battlefields between anti-government extremists and law enforcement.” (“Planeload of ‘Thugs’? Barr Skirts Trump’s Claim but Suggests Rioters Targeted D.C.” New York Times)

So, Trump was right, after all. The rioting is organized and it is a conspiracy. What other explanation could there be?

Besides, BLM’s funding stream is part of the public record. The organization is lavishly supported by corporations and foreign oligarchs who obviously believe that burning our cities and destabilizing the country is in their long-term interests. Transporting arsonists and other troublemakers to hotspots around the country fits perfectly with their broader political strategy of exterminating the middle class, reducing the US to a smoldering third-world shithole, spreading misery and destitution evenly across the country, and toppling the man who had the audacity to beat crooked Hillary Clinton. Sounds like a plan to me.

But why would these corporations choose BLM, after all, BLM professes to be a “Marxist” organization which means they will eventually use their power to overthrow their “evil bourgeois” masters, right?

It’s all bunkum. BLM is not going to turn on its masters because BLM is the evil spawn of these masters.

Look: If BLM was a Marxist group, do you really think they’d accept cash from some of the world’s richest and most exploitative capitalists? Do you think they’d focus all their attention on race instead of class? Do you think they take aim at the cops instead of the people who control “the means of production”?

The whole thing is a fraud. BLM is actually a smokescreen for a corporate-funded domestic insurgency that has conducted operations in over 2,000 American cities, is supported by “174 major corporations”, receives contributions that amount to “more than $1.5 billion”, and boasts the most extensive and effective social media network of any activist organization in history. Check out this clip from an article at the World Socialist Web Site:

“The Ford Foundation, one of the most powerful private foundations in the world, with close ties to Wall Street and the US government, recently announced that it is overseeing the funneling of $100 million over six years to several organizations that play leading roles in the Black Lives Matter movement.

” The contribution of such an immense sum of money … will bring the movement greater influence through campaign contributions and integrate it even more closely with the Democratic Party and the corporate media.

The Ford Foundation has for years maintained close ties to US military and intelligence agencies. A British historian of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Frances Stonor Saunders, described the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations … as “conscious instruments of covert US policy…”

A leaked document from an October 2015 board meeting of the Soros-funded US Programs/Open Society revealed that the organization provided $650,000 “to invest in technical assistance and support for the groups at the core of the burgeoning #BlackLivesMatter movement.”…

The agenda of these organizations, as underscored by the support of groups like the Ford Foundation, has nothing to do with the real social and economic grievances of millions of workers and young people of any race or ethnicity. They speak for highly privileged sections of the middle class who are fighting over the distribution of wealth within the top 10 percent of the population.” (“Billionaires back Black Lives Matter”, World Socialist Web Site)

BLM is perfectly suited for its present task which is to provide the shock troops in a hybrid war aimed at sowing division across the country. The goal is to set brother against brother and father against son. The globalist puppet-masters want to split the country into warring factions that will fight each other to the death. They want to create a crisis so huge and so terrible it will shatter the state itself creating an opening for scheming oligarchs to terminate democracy, eviscerate the Constitutional Republic and impose their own tyrannical Superstate built on the wretched tenets of balanced budgets, the free movement of Capital, and open borders. That’s what they want. BLM is merely a tool for achieving their objectives.

Obviously, Mr Whitney has never heard how the Bolshevik Revolution was financed. As well as Germany, the rest of the money came from exploitative Jewish financiers such as Jacob Schiff.

Otherwise, it was a good analysis. Mike Whitney is slowly but surely becoming Mike Whitey. There is still work to be done on that front. He will be counter punched (or rabbit punched ) out of Progressive Inc very soon. Rather like Steve Sailer, John Derbyshire, uncle Ron Unz and all were removed from Conservative Inc.

I do hope that Mr Unz continues to publish this gentleman. There are very few on the left willing to speak truth to insanity.

Bingo, Mike. This is exactly correct, down to the very last syllable. As to the two commenters above who don’t understand the tyranny of “balanced budgets”, I have one word for you: Greece.

The Brussels-Frankfurt axis has been squeezing all of Europe, and its once-brilliant social democracies, which used to be the envy of the world, with this very idea.

Believe me: Mike Whitney has got it right.

  4. @Magic Dirt Resident

Balanced budgets as a foundation of economics is one of the dogmas of Neoliberalism. The other two dogmas, as Mike Whitney explains, are the free movement of Capital and people. The last one is being somewhat reevaluated in view of, among other things, the existing immigration crisis in Europe.

Note that my understanding of the word Neoliberalism is how that word is used mostly outside of the United States. In the U.S., Liberalism has acquired a different meaning which has more to do with moral, social and identitary issues. For instance, economists like Paul Krugman have historically disputed the necessity of balanced budgets. In America some people use the word ‘liberal’ to categorize him, but in other parts of the world this wouldn’t be appropriate.

I infer that Mike Whitney opposes that Neoliberal dogmatic triad, and thus called it ‘wretched’.

  5. @Brás Cubas

In my view, balanced budgets (or at least close to balanced) were the norm before “neoliberalism,” which most people date to post WWII. I think debt, and cripplingly excessive debt at that, is far more indicative of neoliberalism than a balanced budget. It can’t be a coincidence that every western country has seen public and private debt explode in recent decades, while politicians rarely even make overtures to fiscal responsibility these days. Of course the existence of central banks allow the whole issue to continue, but again, central banks are part and parcel of the neoliberal order. Great article other than that though.

  6. This article seems to be the last word on the subject. It reveals that the color revolution modus operandi is now being employed within the US itself. As one can tell from the funding, these are paid thugs and faux revolutionaries engaged in sedition, and even if they make true critiques, the massive funding reveals them as frauds.

Wrong. BLM is led by Marxists, and Marxists are led by Jews. So Wakanda gang-bangers have entered into a deal with Zionist gang-bangers and they’re squeezing the American middle class for more spoils.

Anyone entering into a pact with Zionists has entered into a pact with evil. This includes mainstream “liberals” and neocons. But it doesn’t bother them in the least, because they have no soul. For them, it’s all about gang-banger spoils. That’s what it was about when the Zionists induced the corrupt establishment into a “War on Terror” against Islamic civilization, as well. How many lives did that pact with the devil kill?

Why did Americans think they could allow their corrupt leaders to enter into deals with the devil and not get any blowback? Did they trust the shyster politicians to do the right thing?

Now they’re wailing that the devil has turned on them. Did they expect the devil to have honor?

The greatest trick the Evil Ones ever played is convincing the dupes that their existence is “anti-Semitic conspiracy theory,” but the dupes weren’t too hard to convince. You see, they wanted to not believe the rumors of evil sociopaths, because they’re moral cowards and because the Federal Reserve payoff to deniers of a malignant sociopath elite is so good.

The last one is being somewhat reevaluated in view of, among other things, the existing immigration crisis in Europe.

Balanced budgets or “live within your means” are a hallmark of conservatism. Liberalism is “spend freely, run up debt on wars and welfare, tax the middle class to “payoff the debt,” but never really pay it off, just keep piling it higher and higher. “The middle class are all deplorables and Nazis and white supremacists anyway.” This leads to the elimination of the middle class and the concentration of wealth in the hands of the debt-peddling Shylocks and Federal Reserve bankers and the destruction of the nation for the Moneychagers of Zion, where the streets are paved with gold.

They’re selling a Ponzi scheme and a fantasy narrative, all paid for by the swindled American public, and they don’t care that the country is going to go bankrupt and the middle class is going to be destroyed when their Ponzi scheme inevitably melts down so long as they’ve got Israel to flee to. Or some other gold plated refuge.

They’re hucksters and psychopaths, and they’ve infected the entire country.

Dick Cheney, an ostensible conservative but really a dumb hick neocon dupe and sociopath from Wyoming, said deficits and debt don’t matter. Neocon Karl Rove said “We’re an empire now, we create our own reality.” They both drank the Jewish kool-aid. But the reason they allowed themselves to drink the Jewish kool-aid was because they both had the kind of psychotic mind that told itself the Jewish kool-aid is good for you.

  11. Imo, the author is missing something important but I don’t think there is much yet on public record to PROVE it.

But why would these corporations choose BLM (and fund them)?

Some of them are, no doubt, in ideological lockstep with them. But, there is a tier of corporation, like big box retailers, restaurant chains, etc…. who are likely being shaken-down and blackmailed. Can’t recall where I heard about that but, it makes total sense that bottom-feeders like Al Sharpton would be doing that.

Do you think Home Depot or Chick-fil-A want throngs of nasty BLM agitators outside their stores harassing (and potentially harming) their patrons? Or gangs of them on massive looting sprees in countless Walmarts? I think they are being threatened to PAY UP or that will happen.

Get this: the KY Derby was rescheduled from first Sat of May to first Sat of Sept (tomorrow). They eventually settled on parameters that included half the normal attendance (to be 23,000 tomorrow) and other ‘Covid measures’. So, it was all set. Well, just late last Fri, they surprise announced that they were still going to run the race but cancel the live attendance. WTF?

Do you know how that royally screws-up attendees, airlines, locals who rents their places and so much more? And it has to be costing Churchill Downs a hefty sum….having already bought mountains of food and beverage, etc. There was some pablum with the announcement about health safety of utmost importance…blah, blah. Bull, I instantly figured it was because they got word that BLM/Antifa riots would descend on them. Talk about a primo place to harass whitey. That would have been quite a TV spectacle. Who knows, the BLM honchos might have tried to shake them down but they declined and cancelled instead. No way it was about Covid. Unreal…..

After 9/11, the no liquids ban began in the airport. No liquids after the security checkpoint except for 3 ounces health or beauty aids. But that varied in different airports in the US.

After you are searched and scanned and harassed, you find the $10 bottle of Evian is the only way to hydrate. The bottled water starts at $5 a bottle for the smallest size, which in the dry environment of a plane is just a long swig. Some airlines have stopped the beverage cart unless you buy alcohol and snacks are a thing of the past. Unless you pay $3 for a small chocolate chip cookie.

Work Around! Bring a Yeti cup or thermos? Nope- if you can get it through the metal detector most of the water fountains are not working. You can fill up in the bathroom but after seeing so many people take baths in the sink (Hello La Guardia)- pass on the sketchy warm tap water.

You are buying liquids at an 10,000% inflated rate.

9/11 was 19 years ago with no more “incidents” of domestic terrorism on an airplane beside the moron who lit his shoe on fire. You still cannot get a simple bottle of water through airport screening- even with the TSA Pass.

You are absolutely correct. Nothing is ever going to be the same.

    Re: “balanced budgets are wretched?”

Whitney writes: “They want to … eviscerate the Constitutional Republic and impose their own tyrannical Superstate built on the wretched tenets of balanced budgets …”

Perhaps he’s referring to the government imposed “austerity measures” which usually follow successful color revolutions and are justified by the claimed necessity of “balanced budgets.”

  14. Will the Democrat BLM ploy work to remove Trump, or are Trump’s chances based on stock market performance?

    https://www.ibtimes.com/most-presidents-have-been-reelected-when-dow-above-level-election-day-3036639

“If you look at most polls, you would think Joe Biden has a 7-to-13 point lead in the 2020 presidential race. But one indicator with a 200-year track record begs to differ.

Dating back to George Washington, 87.5% of presidents have been re-elected when the U.S. stock market has had a net gain of more than 20% over the three-year period leading up to Election Day. With the Dow Jones Industrial Average 22.5% above its key three-year level, the odds currently stand squarely in the president’s favor.”

So the idea now is to dump democracy and replace it with an elite/Woke dictatorship.

Balanced budgets only work when you are a sovereign independent state, not a constituent part of a superstate.
An example of this was Britain in the 1930s. It devalued its currency, coming off the Gold Standard. This enabled import substitution, as well as making exports more competitive.
It had tariff and quota barriers which limited import penetration. It reduced government expenditure to curb deficits. By a judicious use of all 3 measures, it came through the period much better than most countries.
Also, importantly, it could write down or repudiate its debts if things became really serious.

Greece, now, is a constituent part of the EU superstate. It can’t devalue its currency, since the Euro is the currency of the whole Eurozone. It can’t impose tariff and quota barriers as it is part of free trade zone. It can’t write down or repudiate its debts, as the Eurocrats won’t let them.
So what’s left. All Greece can do is cut its government expenditure. Of course, this is not working as, without the other measures in place, Greece now owes considerably more money than it did 10 years.
Nearly all Greece’s debt is held by German and French Banks, which loaned the money quite recklessly to Greece. Greece should have defaulted and these banks should have taken the hit.
But the Germans and French control the EU and want their banks to squeeze every last Euro out of Greece regardless of the consequences.
So the Greek Government is pressurized into ever deepening cuts in expenditure to pay a debt it can never repay. Finally, it is being pushed to sell public assets at knock down prices to pay for a debt it can never repay. Greece is a debt slave to its Franco-German masters. That’s what happens when you give up your sovereignty.

Because “balanced budget” is merely Newspeak for “massively increased government debt”. We witnessed this Newspeak scam in Ontario in the 1990’s. A provincial election was forced [note: Canada has a Parliamentary systen] in 1994 when the NDP(New Democratic Party AKA “socialist”) government tabled a budget increasing the Provincial debt from $4 billion to $6 billion dollars. The so-called “Progressive Conservatives”(PC Party) won the election on the “balanced budget” platform with soon to be Premier Mike Harris promising “cuts to government spending” to achieve this “balanced budget”. Well…Premier Mike Asshair did make his promised “cuts”, but somehow, by 2003 when the PC’s were finally voted out of office the Provincial government debt had ballooned to $100 BILLION. Yes, you got that right, for every dollar of government debt we had under “free spending high tax Socialists” we ended up with $25 dollars in government debt under “lynx eyed, business savy, cut the fat and balance the budget Conservatives”. Ontario has been in massive debt ever since.

There seems to be a misunderstanding among a great number of readers regarding Mike Whitney’s position in the political and economical spectrum. This misunderstanding has even spread to other comment threads. See, for example, this explanatory comment by Ron Unz (who of course knows Mike Whitney’s work better than most here) and the confused ones down-thread.

Granted, Whitney has — atypically for a leftist — attacked the Democrats and spared the Republicans. That has garnered him a lot of sympathy from people in the right. It’s only natural that some of them who do not know his economic opinions get a little confused. They have come to expect those opinions from people like Paul Krugman, who is anti-Trump and anti-Republican.

I don’t know, perhaps the confusion is on purpose. I am not American and don’t live in the U.S., so I’d better not get too involved in this discussion.

It is time to give up on professional policing and require every citizen to arm and train him or her or its self in the proper use of combat arms. It’s also time to outlaw security details for politicians, other government officials, and bureaucrats and let them face the music when they make bad decisions; however, politicos like Senator Paul should be well armed and encouraged to personally defend themselves with deadly force.

The very fact that crime exists is proof positive that street cops are useless in their advertised role to ‘protect and serve’. That Boobus Americanus has been hoodwinked to believe the lie that the police protect them isn’t that hard to understand. The propaganda has worked brilliantly.

The street cops should be defunded because they are ineffective at fighting or preventing crime. The investigators, forensics people, etc, should be kept as is or expanded to figure out who did what after the street cops failed to do their purported job.

If there were no street cops, how long would it be before the average person was armed after realizing that he’s on his own to protect himself and his property? The public would demand that laws be changed to align with the 2nd Amendment so that if they are forced to use their weapon of choice that the laws won’t claim they are criminals for dispatching some dirtbag.

All 2nd Amendment supporters should be urging the cancellation of the bogus concept of a street cop to regain their rights under the Constitution while simultaneously producing a citizen police force in the millions at no cost that will render justice swiftly when encountering some miscreant that intends them harm. Many people believe that those harsher measures are now necessary to keep the country from slipping deeper into the abyss of anarchy and ruin. In fact, steps should have been taken long ago.

Martial law, etc., is exactly what we don’t want. Has it ever occurred to you that Trump is being set up to send in the tanks here? And what happens then? Will it end when Trump leaves office? Based on what I know about the PATRIOT Act, and this phony ‘Covid’ emergency, I would say no … or at least not completely.

The solution is not Federal tyranny. The solution, in my view, is for voters in Minneapolis, Seattle, Portland, et al., to get rid of the Democrats before the Democrats get rid of them. It seems that the Liberty Lobby is being manipulated into supporting dictatorship just to get rid of a bunch of color-revolution groups being financed by the very same interests that would later benefit from a dictatorship. Beware!

… nor should you be surprised that BLM burst onto the scene precisely 6 months before the general election.

Isn’t that what also in 2016? And how did that work out for Hellary? The Dems ought to know by now that race-riots always hurt them with voters. That was true in 2016, that was true in the 60s, and it’s still true now.

The globalist puppet-masters want to split the country into warring factions that will fight each other to the death. They want to create a crisis so huge and so terrible it will shatter the state itself creating an opening for scheming oligarchs to terminate democracy, eviscerate the Constitutional Republic and impose their own tyrannical Superstate …

It’s the same deal with the shoes. One must take them off (unless he is especially “checked out”) even if there is not metal in them, as a reaction for show to the Richard Reid attempted shoe-bomber thing also near 2 decades ago. Let’s not bring up the part about, could there not be nice weapons made out of composite in the shoes? Sure, they go through the scanner. All manner of stuff gets through the scanner.

We wouldn’t even be writing about this TSA BS, if Americans hadn’t been being disarmed for years before 9/11, as Peak Stupidity explained 3 years back in “16 Years of Spreading Democracy – They still hate us for our freedoms(?)”.

Back to the drinking water thing, just for the record. No, this one is not a scam. Everything costs out the ying/yang in the airport terminal, especially inside security, as it’s a pain in the ass to go back and forth, so they do have you, sort of. However, there are plenty of water fountains inside the terminals – saw ’em 2 weeks ago, and they even have this feature for filling up water bottles to “save the river!” I have no problem filling up from bathroom sinks, even in this age of the Black Plague 2.0.

This is just Security Theater, as with the new Healthcare Theatre, “COVID / TSA twin peaks of stupidity” in the airport terminal. It’s as Biff wrote, this new stuff will always be with us. First we hear announcements of admonishment from the TSA in the airports – now we hear from them from the TSA and the CDC.

  47. @Alden

No, there are plenty of water fountains. Your 2nd sentence is true but it is not about sneaking it in. You can bring empty bottles. No, I don’t work for the TSA. Yes, I detest the whole idea of it, AND their parent org. Motherland Security!

Like the Republicans, the PC are pro-Big Business and pro-military. They couldn’t care less about traditional conservative values. Why do you think the Left has won every battle in the culture war for the last 50 years? It’s because political conservatives cave on each issue.

Whether it be Harris or Harper, a true conservative would not balance the budget. Instead they would eliminate the debt by defaulting on it. Or budget to pay the principle sum off in five years but end all interest payments. The thing is that Canadian banks own most of the debt. Thus interest payments on the debt are really a wealth transfer from the taxpayers to the banking industry. That’s why there is always a debt and no politician ever suggests getting rid of the debt.

You’re quite correct about debt magically ballooning no matter what the government does. That’s the point of the entire globalists economic system. Why haven’t the FBI and local DAs–unless they’re part of the revolution–provided the evidence to indict BLM and its leaders and use the money so far collected from Amazon et al to compensate the victims?

There’s also the matter of show arrests of mental defectives and criminal psychopaths whose mug shots look like something out of a 19th century book on mental patients that are meant to persuade Americans that the riots are spontaneous street-level stuff while deflecting our attention from the real perps. The absence of arrests of the leaders of Antifa and BLM, logistics agents, et al is the real story. Why hasn’t Janet Rosenberg been arrested and interrogated, as well as her confederates at Thousand Currents and the Tides Foundation?

And, there’s the matter of straightforward incitement to riot on the part of Facebook, Twitter, CNN, et al and lack of arrests. The managers responsible for allowing social media to serve as the communications network for insurrection, rioting, arson, and looting should have been charged for sedition and incitement to commit serious crimes ages ago. Where are the Republican cries for Bezos, Zuckerberg, and their ilk’s arrest? There are a number of comments tongue-clucking over this single sentence.. Anyone who as read Whitney over the years knows what he’s getting at. Whether you do know what he’s talking about, agree or disagree, what’s the point of nit-picking over this? It’s the very definition of ‘Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?’

Consider Whitney’s argument broadly. Establishment entities and individuals are indisputably playing at the Color Revolution thingie.

It’s a mistake to think that all are similarly motivated. Or even whether individually or institutionally they’ve thought through societal fat tail risk.

Conventional wisdom has it that we’re a divided nation. I don’t quarrel with that, of course. Whitney’s thinking, whether you agree with it in whole or part, rightly implores asking how we’re divided and through whose malefactions.

After all, as we enter the third decade of the 21st century what could be more of an insult to the intelligence than the claim that THE problem at the moment is “systemic racism” in this great republic?

One rule I’ve lived by throughout my adult life is that I don’t waste one moment worrying about the needs and wants of rich people. I would say they can take care of themselves but they don’t even have to do that. They have others to do it for them.

Nor, does history suggest, are there many profiles in courage among them. Less at the moment and for a generation given that no one more than global billionaires as a class have more aggressively tried to destroy Trump.

You’re where you need to be if you recognize that the ruling and governing classes are like an eight-year old boy playing with his dad’s straight edge razor on a Saturday morning. That’s because they view getting rid of Trump as a dues ex machina. The solution to all of their problems.

The American Project is doing a lot of rhyming to our 19th C. history in the decades preceding The Civil War. Regardless of how front and center BLM and POCs generally have been placed by interests who consider them cannon fodder at best, like then this is a war between whites. The first word in BLM is “black” for a reason! The Democrat powers that be are running their standard ‘Oh, that’s just the blacks’ when the voters sour on the revolutionist violence and accompanying rhetoric they’ve organized and funded.

I’ll end by using a word I abhor — takeaway, especially for something like the decades long run-up to The Civil War. But one indisputable takeaway from what ended in a brutal war that killed more than 600K Americans was that was the outcome that no one wanted but all played a role in conjuring.

You are correct. More precisely, the term “neoliberalism” is based on the classical economic definition of “liberal” as meaning laissez-faire, unregulated free-market economics. It is being used so much these days because it describes what has been done to the well-functioning welfare states of the West since the onset of Reaganite/Thatcherite economics. Those two may have been “conservatives,” but their political economics was, in the classical sense, pure liberalism. And since it followed decades of successfully controlled and regulated capitalist economies (from the New Deal to the social democracies of postwar Europe) it was called “neo” liberalism because it was a throwback to the robber-baron days of unregulated economies.

When the traditionally “liberal” (in the American and British sense of the term) parties, the Democratic party and the Labour party in Britain, signed onto these deregulatory economic policies in the Clintonite/Blairite 1990s, it marked the “folding-in” of the old liberal parties to the new orthodoxy of neoliberalism. And in so doing they betrayed the socially-oriented “liberal” philosophies (in the old sense) that had come to define their parties, making them effectively as much the enemy of the working man as the traditional conservative parties. Indeed, sometimes more so. Trump’s killing, at the start of his term, of the free-trade deal touted by Obama and Killary indeed struck a blow for working men and women, whereas the “liberal” Dems would have simply fast-tracked further selloffs of the economy to the oligarchs.

We have been dealing with the ravages of these policies for the past forty years. They have now reached the tipping point.

  56. So, the matter is settled. The majority has spoken and democracy should prevail, right?

That question gets to the heart of the matter for representative democracy. No, the matter is not settled merely by the fact that a majority of people can be polled to express some opinion. Our Democracy has struggled with how to enact the will of the people while at the same time following the Constitution over and over. We get to vote every once in a while. That’s about it. The government can basically do whatever it wants beyond that. If you don’t like it, you can vote again next time… and on and on until elected officials finally agree to conform policy to the will of the people.

Unfortunately, there are so many influences on elected officials now that a raw “will of the people” concept based on polling people to find out what they think doesn’t work. Apple, Nike, and the Department of Defense all count as probably 10 billion votes for whatever they want to see enacted whereas you still only have 1 vote.

We have suffered under this problem with practically every major political topic over the last 50 years. In a lot of states, people really don’t like abortion and want to make it illegal. A majority of people. Yet, the will of the people is ignored or suppressed. Same with globalization. Back in the 90s we had huge protests against NAFTA and the WTO, both of which were obviously going to destroy the ability of Americans to maintain stable communities, and yet… as always… the will of the people was flatly ignored by the powers-that-be.

At least since the time of the French Revolution, democracies in the West have contended with this deep philosophical question: what is the will of the people and what are the responsibilities of the government toward it? Mob rule is just one way of answering that question, viz. the government should enact any law that has the loudest, most violent, largest number of advocates in the streets.

In short, polling Americans to find out what they think about political topics has been so thoroughly abused and manipulated over the last 10 years especially that I don’t think it is a legitimate way of figuring out what the “will of the people” is and even when polling tells you what normal American’s actually believe or want, it’s an open question whether the government has to respond to enact the will of the people. Usually the government just ignores “the people” and does whatever it wants to benefit whoever their favorite lobby is at the time.

  59. Is this your first day in the United States? The media are promoting BLM at saturation level because it is controlled opposition, making naïve kids think they’re doing something important, and helping gather more votes for rival presidential candidates who shill for different factions of the same power elite. “Riots in the Heartland!” has been the most exciting summer TV show the networks have produced in decades.

BLM has received tens of millions in funding from the Ford Foundation, J P Morgan Chase, and other gatekeepers of the status quo, and has marginalized authentic black rights activists. A few angry kids breaking quarantine and busting up stuff on hot summer nights (and how many of them do you reckon are government provocateurs?) are not the same thing as cadres of armed, disciplined revolutionaries. Like Trump himself – who you may recall is not a politician but an actor, a reality TV personality whose talent is reading prepared scripts with flair – the whole thing smells like yet another sideshow.

The corporate state is a magician; its prime tool is misdirection. It fascinates you by directing you to stare at one hand pulling a rabbit out of a hat while its other hand is in your back pocket stealing your wallet. It’s pulling out all the stops this time around because it has received two huge shocks recently, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, both daring to question the status quo and becoming hugely popular with the people as a result. Seems we are not as deeply under control as they thought we were, and that will never do. Why not dust off the old Red Menace and the Black Menace, they’ve always worked before. Oh yes, and Trump’s favorite, the Yellow Peril too. Let’s see who wins the ratings war, oops, I mean, the free & fair democratic election that is once again The Most Important Election Ever That Will Change Everything ™.

Although mistakes made by individual police officers make the anger, the frustration and the protests understandable, nonetheless, statistics don’t lie, proving that the BLM allegations are unsubstantiated, and thus delegitimizing any discussion about “racism” or “white supremacy” that are being associated with President Trump.

You can’t get rid of a political machine by changing the Independent vote. It has to be replaced by something else just as independent of the voters. NYC finally got rid of Tammany Hall by putting the welfare work the ward bosses had been doing into a bureaucracy, while maintaining the Tammany political establishment, who remained in power by controlling the bureaucracy and jobs in the bureaucracy.

See G. W. Plunkett, Plunkett of Tammany Hall, first published around 1900, for an idea of how the old Tammany Hall worked, and just how hopeless reform was — and still is.

This next round, the city bureaucracies are going to be replaced by depopulation. The cities are losing their political importance, and with it their Federal funding. scheming oligarchs to terminate democracy, eviscerate the Constitutional Republic and impose their own tyrannical Superstate built on the wretched tenets of balanced budgets, the free movement of Capital, and open borders. That’s what they want. BLM is merely a tool for achieving their objectives.

You cannot have a republic and finance capitalism at the same time. FC destroys everything in its path with “profit motive,” including using slavery.

With regards to balanced budgets, governments are not households. It is an error in thinking to conflate your household with government.

Hamilton wanted a perpetual government debt, where the public debt had the means for being repaid. Hamilton went further and said that government debt money (public debt created by deficit spending) was to channel into industry, the commons, public health, and science. The improvement in the productivity of the people would then pay the debt.

You could do the same thing with debt free spending by government, but there has to be strict laws in place to guarantee the spending is done properly.

Hamilton’s first bank was 50% owned by government, and 50% by private stock owners. (Near as I can tell.)

Privateer stock owner banking, where banking corporations are owned up to 100%, have been an abject failure. Don’t let the bank fail, it is TBTF!

This type of central bank wants governments to go into perpetual debt to them. So, we have the specter of rising public debts, along with speculation as the driving force in finance markets, such as wall street or London.

Balanced budgets at the government level can only be done with Sovereign money, and not a “private banking” debt based money system.

That’s what they want. BLM is merely a tool for achieving their objectives.”

So where does China and the rest of the actual world fit into this schema?

The “globalist puppet-masters” are bent on destroying the American state while the American state is bent on destroying the Chinese state. Or is it a two-front war the puppet-masters are playing against both the American and Chinese states? Now that’s a dangerous game!

The problem is that the power of the “globalist puppet-masters” rests on the foundation of American state power. To destroy it is to end their power–or greatly diminish it. Power is not an abstraction of totalitarian thought thinking totalitarian thought. It requires locus and is exercised by real people in a real world no matter how obscured or hidden that power may be.

The reality is that the globalists want to preserve the American state as the ultimate seat of their power. This requires a domestic war against “reactionary forces” and external campaigns against other global power centers. Most of the world lacks the capacity to resist the American superstate. Russia resists, but just by the skin of its teeth. Iran hunkers down and is impressive in its tenacity but can hardly survive the malice of the Judeo-superstate alone. China is the only state that is large enough, with sufficiently autonomous culture and superior, evolved cognition to constitute an existential threat. And if China were to win in the end, would it, in turn, become the globalist super-state?

Given how central China is to the whole equation, its absence here is more than a little strange.

Once there’s a real price to pay for criminal activity, it will subside either through death or a potent disincentive to risk death.

The current justice system needs to have criminals on the street so the shallow thinkers yammer for police protection that never solves the problem.

If you’re not inclined to carry a weapon, many are. There are as many weapons in the country as there are people, so many would carry if the damned law would allow it as the 2nd Amendment intended. The Corporatists and the Leftists are objective allies. Their object is the removal of the nation state.

The Corporatists want ever higher profits. This can be achieved by ever more 3rd World immigration. By the laws of supply and demand, more labour, the less it costs, the greater the profit. Ultimately, the Corporatists want a situation in which they are not subject to national laws at all. The only laws they have to obey are ones made by the Corporations themselves. Pat Buchanan saw this many years ago.

Traditional values, beliefs and institutions stand in the way of this. These must be eradicated, hence the promotion of the Globohomo agenda. The most active Corporatists, like Soros, bankroll a wide range of NGOs and politicians to promote this, as well as violent groups like BLM.

The Leftists aim is to import so many immigrants that they will have a supermajority and be in power for ever. They know immigrants tend to vote for the Party of Welfare – them. They help craft the Globohomo agenda and are happy to accept money from the Corporatists to do so.

2 groups, 1 object, different aims. But both groups are overwhelmingly composed of white people. They have put their own personal interests above everything else. These interests are hostile to the vital interests of their nation state and to white people everywhere. They are race traitors.

There are internal contradictions in all this. In order to maximise profit, the Corporatists need a large and prosperous middle class for their goods and services. But massive immigration and wage cutting will undermine this. Also, offshoring results in the removal of well-paid jobs from America and other industrialised countries. Likewise, the tax base will shrink just as more welfare spending is required for immigrants. The likelihood is economic and social collapse.

In order to rule forever, the Leftists need the immigrants to vote for them forever. The likelihood is once they reach critical mass, they will ditch their white mentors and vote for their own ethnics in their own parties. In places like Holland, it is already happening. There is a Turkish Islamist Party – with 2 members in the Dutch Parliament. They want to enforce Sharia Law in Holland. More will follow. Conflict will rise sharply.

    @Brás Cubas

The leftists are often correct on the money power question:

Ron Unz is not a monetary historian, nor is he an economist.

Whitney is actually circling above the target with regards to this comment:

They want to create a crisis so huge and so terrible it will shatter the state itself creating an opening for scheming oligarchs to terminate democracy, eviscerate the Constitutional Republic and impose their own tyrannical Superstate built on the wretched tenets of balanced budgets, the free movement of Capital, and open borders. That’s what they want. BLM is merely a tool for achieving their objectives.

The American Revolution was because the first finance capitalists at bank of england were whispering in King George’s ear. They proceeded to demonetize Colonial Script, and impose new taxes. This caused an immediate finance conflagration, which forced war. The objective was to enclose American lands, and return the lands to the colonial system. Enclosed lands can then be exploited by degraded labor to extract minerals, wood, etc. … Enclosure was to lead to an extraction economy powered by degraded white and black slaves, with the masters in London and Wall Street.

Free movement of capital and labor breaks down nation states. Finance Capital rises above and controls the polity.

Finance Capitalism started all the wars in modern history, it funded the Atlantic Slavery System, and it also funded Bolshevism.

Bolsheviks were at first a looting mechanism created by Kuhn and Loeb (and others), and later morphed into Russian communism. Communism encloses the lands and creates degraded labor. So, bolshevism was a twofer for our (((friends))), it made money for FC’s in wall street, and it enclosed the lands in Russia, while putting FC’s in charge.

The founding fathers left a hole in the constitution so big a truck could drive through it. Finance Capital has exploited this hole, making the revolutionary war a wasted war.

    To borrow money on the credit of the United States;

This error might be because Hamilton thought the first bank must be 50:50. Who knows? Also, there were many British agents about during the Constitutional Convention. In those days people still thought metal was money, and so on. It is a wonder they got anything right.

The credit of a country belongs to the people, and to its King. Or in the case of a Federal Republic it belongs to the people elected to administer the money power.

The money power is not to be borrowed from privateers, MP belongs to the general public. And if you have a public debt, it must have the means for repayment.

None of the rules about how money works were laid down firmly enough in law. The constitution was too weak.

So, now we have psychopathic (((oligarchs))) wreaking havoc with usury mechanisms, starting wars, and inverting reality.

    Clown world is funded.

The Progressive Conservative party – how’s that for an oxymoron?

It may be now, but it wasn’t when the “Red Tories” i.e. the old guys were running the show. I had a relative was a member of, and did projects for, “Big Blue” in Ontario for over 40 years. He told me, in the 80s that Bill Davis was the most hated man in the party among the “young guys”. Mike Asshair was one of the “young guys”. Ontario, under Davis, had, by far, the most progressive labour legislation in Canada. Why? well, according to my relative, it was because the “Big Blue” philosophy was that keeping people working was the primary goal, and avoiding strikes was an important part of that. When people work, they spend money and pay taxes, so welfare benefit payments are less. The money they spend helps local businesses. The taxes allow the government to build roads, hospitals and schools. To build those roads, hospitals, and schools, you have to hire people, and buy materials. The people hired, spend money and pay taxes, and to as great a degree as possible the materials were locally or provincially sourced, which meant more employment. In short, money kept circulating in the economy. Things like free trade destroyed that system.
However, you are entirely correct in what the party has become.

  99. Your statement about BLM is just great, but when you say it cannot be a real Marxist movement since it is corporate-sponsored you let slip a huge blunder : please study a little more by yourself instead of obeying textbooks to see at last that absolutely ALL movements claiming of Marx or of anything Marxist in history, starting with Karl Marx himself as a political agitator and secret agent together with the 1871 Commune of Paris (which he helped design and micro-manage for his British sponsors), have always been sponsored or at least highly approved by the highest circles of the international bourgeoisie and global finance and their closest associates such as the multinational corporations, most generally in a effort to do away with such or such national bourgeoisie or middle-class when deemed too much athwart their global reach. As soon as you form or enter any political movement claims in anyway of Marx or of any current reputed for its Marxist roots, you are courting globalist multinationals and media houses for support. There was absolutely nothing else about Marxism than making or keeping the impoverished masses obedient to the forces of international capital at their country’s expense, quite often so as to prevent a pogrom which would have been the most natural outcome of a perceived situation of injustice. Even before USSR the Marxist doctrine was to the effect that militant masses had to expect but pauperization from the system they lived in until the great revolution that would sweep aways all capitalists. USSR was something litterally imposed onto the unwilling people of Russia (revolted though they were for real, but without the slightest real idea of what the regime they called for would actually be) by international capital that had just opted to torpedo the Russian economy which threated to make America lose its rank of chief granary of the whole Western World.

China is in the mix, especially since Finance Capital has a lot of assets in China.

Starting in the 90’s, Clinton changed MFN rules to allow “capital” to form in Wall Street, to then fund the export of American jobs.

The objective was to take wage arbitrage on now debt free former communist labor.

Capital is fungible, but Chinese labor was not. That meant moving Capital to China, to exploit their labor “over there.”

Mexican labor is fungible, it has legs and can walk to El Norte.

Again… FC and a Republic are incompatible. You want your republic? Then FC has to be murdered. It can be done by adopting Chinese style industrial capitalism.. and State Banks, or even better Sovereign Money.

China did rope-a-dope the West, by importing american industry, technology, and the patrimony of Americans. This Patrimony was our birthright, handed down by our fore-bearers to be to our benefit, not Chinese labor, nor psychopaths in wall street who are driven only by greed.

China was allowed to rope-a-dope the west, because we gave them the rope.

    Here is Pilger’s documentary.

    http://johnpilger.com/videos/the-coming-war-on-china

Western FC’s and globo-homo are only now realizing that China no longer needs them, and their “investments” in China are at risk.

China does not let “capital” rise above their polity.

  101. @Verymuchalive

As well as Germany, the rest of the money came from exploitative Jewish financiers such as Jacob Schiff.

Yes, and no. The NSDAP issued Labor Certificates to reduce the need for international financiers to a great a degree as possible. For the face value of every certificate issued, they received goods or services. As the economy started being self sustaining, the certificates were reduced. Trade, wherever possible, was commodity for commodity, such as coal for iron ore, finished product for finished product, or finished product for raw material. This eliminated the need for the Bank of International Settlements, which reduced their slice of the economic pie. It also, indirectly, attacked the reserve currency. Germany’s economic system could not be allowed to continue, which is the real reason for WWII.

I disagree with both of you. The sorts of thugs that make up BLM would ordinarily lose in a heart beat compared to a nation of hunters that ordinary, gun toting conservative Americans are. These thugs would fall apart. The only reason they haven’t is:

    1) They are being funded by billionaires.
    2) Think tanks and other billionaire funded foundations have back-door sway over the FBI and CIA and perhaps other law enforcement agencies, so that they systematically fail to do their jobs with BLM/Antifa while metting out swift injustice to ordinary Americans who were otherwise prepared to lawfully defend themselves (e.g. the St Louise couple)

The combination of these two factors is the only reason BLM has made it this far. In a hypothetical situation in which all government agencies backed off and allowed the two sides to duke it out, the lefties would’ve retreated with their tails tucked between their legs long ago.

The only trick is in getting the FBI back on the side of true law enforcement so that they are just as willing to infiltrate and expose BLM the same as they would be willing to infiltrate a right-wing militia that had either engaged in terrorism or was threatening to do so.

The real issue here is not whether self-defense will work. The real issue is the crime of conspiracy to sway law enforcement in the USA away from their mission.

The globalist can control the federal governments in every nation state in the world. The nation state is the enabler for the globalist that has been invented.

The nation state system, is global, and it divides the 8 billion governed persons in the world into 256 or so cells. its in those different cells that the globalist, impose their constitutions. The people of each nation state are not recognized as people, but as insignificant parts of the nation state apparatus. In order to have the authority to rule to rule the world it is necessary to first have the power to dictate and then to separate that power into smaller parts so yes men can be appointed to make the people in that smaller part follow the dictates of the corporate and oligarch globalist. Each nation state is a part of the global system. just as the federalist did when they converted democratic free local power America 1776-1788) into corporate and banker controlled top down power (USA in 1788). The constitution of the United States took all of the political power from the governed, and the War Between the States took all of the States power from the States. Please remember the USA in 1788 was not the same government that defeated the British and wrote the Declaration of Independence. that government was terminated in a war rarely heard of called “the ratification war”.

Amen to that. As soon as Hitler came to power, the international mob of banksters began plotting for WWII since they knew they couldn’t let someone like Hitler show the world nations DO NOT need to borrow their own money from greeday thieves and hucksters like those central banks.

When Hitler came into power, Germany, thanks to WWI and the FED triggered Crash of ’29, was an economic basket case–as Americans are going to find out first hand, rather soon.

Four of the Five largest German banks were owned by Jews. Hitler nationalized the banks and kicked out the international banksters that were sucking the lifeblood out of Germans.
Within a couple of years, Germany was an economic success, and that scared the hell out of the ones who are behind all these damned wars.

There seems to be a misunderstanding among a great number of readers regarding Mike Whitney’s position in the political and economical spectrum.

There’s no misunderstanding, rather, there are misstatements on part of Whitney. We don’t have to know his private vernacular, he should express himself clearly. Unlimited debt is firmly a neoliberal & progressive position. Krugman is a commie and he’s all for it too, ditto BLM, reparations, antifa – their power comes from unlimited gov debt and gov-suppressed economy.

If Whitney wanted to say “austerity” he should have done so. Austerity isn’t the only way to balance a budget, in fact, the need for austerity comes from the bursting of a deficit spending bubble. High debt and austerity aren’t opposites, they’re cause and effect.

As it is, blaming balanced budgets for any problems is an extremely dishonest approach.

We often hear the word, here and elsewhere, in reference to the elite.

Better, forget “education” which is a result, a slow growth, and hard to judge.

Let’s talk about Teaching and Learning.

Because that’s a joint activity and can be provided for.

Though it’s in short supply these days and has been for a long time.

So much so that we’ve pretty much lost the knack for it.

But, since teaching and learning are essential, what kind of both do we need?

Since “education” is the way any society perpetuates itself, what kind of education do we want?

What do we mean by society?

    And who is we?

These are pertnent questions. And they can be answered.

But no one’s even asking them.

    The result?

    Just look around.

Endless talk about Current Events, about what’s going on and what to do, without ever talking about our relationship to the life of the mind, the world of ideas, and their practical application to the here and now, is not simply putting the cart before the horse, it’s an act symptomatic of a civilization that is losing its mind.

Public debt can be unlimited if it is not serviced. It can sit on the ledger forever and make no claims. It can be converted to zero interest, or whatever the hell the Treasury wants to do.

The problem is that Treasury debt is monetized by the FED. Eventually the FED does hold TBills does it not? The FED is a member of the private banking cartel.

A public debt IF IT HAS THE MEANS FOR BEING PAID BACK, is actually a blessing. The blessing is in the form of continuously revived credit that funnels into the commons, education, public health, the scientific establishment, and toward the general well being and prosperity of the population.

It is not a neoliberal or progressive position to have unlimited debts funneled toward speculation.

It is neither left nor right, it is just simply incorrect monetary science to channel public debts toward speculation.

The U.S. has been captured by the money powered interests. These interests like to take usury, rents, and unearned income, especially through speculative activities. If they are not raking off using speculation, they are maneuvering for monopoly prices.

Wait wait wait, wasn’t BLM supposed to be “Marxist” according to this same Mike Whitney? Now it’s “corporate sponsored”? Make up your mind, Whitney.

Marxism is an off-shoot of finance capitalism. Finance capitalists funded Bolshevism, which then morphed to become communism.

Marx originally thought that communism would come about naturally as an end game to industrial capitalism.

Marx published Das Kapital from 1867 to 1883. Bizmark unified Germany in 1871, and he did it with Frederick Lists “American System,” from the Customs Union (around 1834).

Marx was naive and didn’t know how predatory his (((finance capitalist))) cousins were. In volume three of Capital, he also plays a game with the math, to hide how debts can grow exponentially. Probably he was coerced to lie.

Marx was influenced by what was going on in his life at that time.

He died saying, “I am a most unhappy man.”

There is no contradiction, banking corporations and their tied corporations are marxist. Marxism of the type that finance capital funded into existence is a pyramid scheme, where the few at the top have enclosed all the lands and control all aspects of production.

Why do you think our (((Friends))) were over-represented in the Bolshevik revolution? The same in-group is over-represented in finance.

I applaud your editorial of 22 June, in which you exposed the insidious manner in which the Japanese parliament and government had glossed over the crimes and genocides the Japanese Imperial Army had committed against the peoples of East Asia.
    .
Your effort is to be commended and I hope you will extend it and apply it in an impartial and unbiased manner.
    .
The crimes of Japan during World War II is but one of the crimes against humanity in recent history and it is not even the most serious.
    .
Far more sinister are those committed by the whites against the non-whites, with the racial genocides carried out in America and Australia being the most systematic and thorough.
    .
These are the most hideous crimes against humanity- surpassing, in scale and thoroughness, even Hitler’s organized pogrom of the Jews and the Slavs. But while the whites react with anger and indignation to the massacres of their own kind, they continue to glorify and celebrate their genocidal achievements when their victims are non-Europeans.
    .
We all should now wake up to the fact that the regimes thus established are illegal, immoral and illegitimate. For the sake of justice and legality, these criminal regimes must be abolished. Only then can a just “New World Order” prevail.

But now it is infiltrated with many other politics. (Maybe they choose to jump on that wagon?) But as you say, the polls contend that they are losing image.

The Ford Foundation and Borealis Philanthropy recently announced the formation of the Black-Led Movement Fund [BLMF], a six-year pooled donor campaign aimed at raising $100 million for the Movement for Black Lives coalition. That is not Black Lives Matter, and they can dump that trademark anytime that they want. That funding comes in addition to more than $33 million in grants to the Black Lives Matter movement from top Democratic Party donor George Soros through his Open Society Foundations, as well as grant-making from the Center for American Progress.

The foundations have aligned themselves with the staunch left-wing platform of the Movement for Black Lives. Released Aug. 1, the platform calls for defunding police departments, race-based reparations, breaking voting rights for illegal immigrants, fossil-fuel divestment, an end to private education and charter schools, a “universal basic income,” and free college for blacks. Big money is using people as pawns to stoke racial hatred and further their global agenda.

Podesta’s Simulation Sees Public Looking to Military for a Sign

Of particular interest is that John Podesta recently ran a simulation on the DNC’s approach and response to election 2020, where he played the role of Biden. This war-game exercise was covered by David Frum for the Atlantic. Despite its counter-factual ‘facts’ and erroneous presumptions (poll based, etc.), the findings were startling.

Neither side would concede, courts would be too slow to act, Antifa and QAnon groups would clash in the streets, and the actions of the military, in either direction, or as with the National Guard – as deployed by the Justice Department under AG Barr, would be the deciding factor.

In that simulation there were a total of 67 players who met on Zoom in the first week of June 2020. This was composed of high-profile critics of President Donald Trump, including law professors, retired military officers, former senior U.S. officials, political strategists, attorneys, and cable news room editors.

We have to reiterate that Podesta, playing the role of Biden, understands that the real outcome of the election will therefore be the position that the military takes.

    https://fort-russ.com/2020/09/bidens-chances-rest-on-a-john-podesta-planned-military-coup-ballot-harvesting-police-shootings-and-a-false-flag/

This agrees with Diana Johnstone’s observation in her book “Circle in the Darkness”, where she says:

“In December 1978. as a result of truly massive popular protests and violent repression in Teheran, soldiers mutinied and attacked SAVAK agents, causing the Shah to flee. This illustrated an ineluctable rule of revolutions: to succeed, part of a regime’s security forces must desert the ruling power and side with the people. Faced with military repression, winning over soldiers is a key element in a successful uprising.”

The real power in this case is the ZioGlob/CIA + the MSM refusing to accept a Trump /popular electoral victory. In this event, the members of the armed forces of the United States would need to check the oath they took on enlistment:

I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed …

A majority of Black Americans have said they want police presence in their area to either remain the same or increase, despite recent protests over police brutality, according to new polls.

From distant observation, it seems to me that black Americans have a love-hate relationship with the police. They cry racism if the police are present in their neighborhoods and they cry racism if the police are absent from their neighborhoods.

So blacks wants their neighborhoods to be safe. The city then deploys hundreds of cops, many of them black, to the most crime-ridden precincts. The cops arrest hundreds of black crooks and punks and stop and frisk thousands of black juveniles in order to protect them.

The residents of these neighborhoods then cry racism because of all the profiling they receive so the cops stop patrolling these blocks. The gang bangers become bold and begin shooting up block parties. In response, the residents cry racism and ask why the police are not doing their job.

The police can’t win either way, especially if they are white. I heard that many of them are quitting their jobs, especially in NYC. I’m surprised that this has not happened before.

“There’s only one problem with the theory, it’s wrong. Simply put: Blacks don’t want fewer cops.”

Agree. Could most Blacks just want cops that don’t shoot them in the back for a broken taillight (ala SC officer Michael Slager killing Walter Scott 4 April 2015)? Or cops that announce themselves before breaking into an apartment at 12:40 am 13 Mar 2020 in Louisville, Kentucky?

‘Black Lives Matter Foundation’ (a 501c3 tax-deductible “educational foundation” headquartered in Santa Clarita CA) is listed with a rare “moderate advisory” on Charity Navigator (https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/474143254%5D. “BLM is led by fanatics that have no regard for the will of the people.”

Kindly name them (with proof of disregard). “Will of the people” evokes unhelpful Third Reich memoires (‘Wille des Volkes’), but it’s your call.

“Heck, it took Joe Biden three months to even speak out against the rioting, looting and arson.”

No fan of Biden, but three months is shorter than the three years Trump spent exciting minority discord in office. He (helpful to the riots happening) blames everybody else. Just like COVID-19:

“Yeah, no, I don’t take responsibility at all, because we were given a set of circumstances and we were given rules, regulations, and specifications from a different time. It wasn’t meant for this kind of an event [COVID-19] with the kind of numbers that we’re talking about.”
    -President Donald J. Trump 13 Mar 2020

Who gave the “rules, regulations, and specifications from a different time” that precluded timely action?

“That tells us that Biden puts politics above everything, even public safety.”

Biden isn’t in office. Explain Trump’s incompetence on COVID-19 and inciting racial disharmony.

Riots, looting, arson are under Trump’s watch. Plus 190,000+ COVID-19 dead so far. Estimated to double by January.

Actually, Germany got little if any funding from Jewish financiers. NSDAP Economics Minister Hjalmar Schacht wrote about this at length.
In WWI, the UK had 2 main sources of income used to prosecute the War. War loans – the last of which was paid in 2015 ! Most of the rest came from taxing those industries ( e.g. armaments, coal ) which benefited from the war economy, shareholders in those industries and directors and the like in those industries. Schacht thought this sensible and fair.
Germany used War Bonds. But they only covered 2/3rds of war related expenditure. So what they did was print money. Schacht considered this very stupid indeed. The result was serious inflation particularly in the latter part of the War. Even if Germany had won the War, the War Bonds would have been virtually worthless. In the event, institutions and persons who invested heavily in the Bonds suffered greatly when the Bonds were abolished.

George Floyd’s violent death was a breaking point — an all too familiar reminder that, for Black people, law enforcement doesn’t protect or save our lives. They often threaten and take them.

Right now, Minneapolis and cities across our country are on fire, and our people are hurting — the violence against Black bodies felt in the ongoing mass disobedience, all while we grapple with a pandemic that is disproportionately affecting, infecting, and killing us.

We call for an end to the systemic racism that allows this culture of corruption to go unchecked and our lives to be taken.

We call for a national defunding of police. We demand investment in our communities and the resources to ensure Black people not only survive, but thrive. If you’re with us, add your name to the petition right now and help us spread the word.

  224. Corporate-Sponsored BLM Has “Vanished” the Emerging “Anti-Globalist” Majority That Elected Trump

But has it? We’ll have to wait and see at the election.

If BLM was a Marxist group, do you really think they’d accept cash from some of the world’s richest and most exploitative capitalists?

Why not? The Bolsheviks took money from Wall Street. When you need funds for a greater cause you’ll take it from anyone, even useful idiots that you’re opposed to.

Do you think they’d focus all their attention on race instead of class?

Hmm? But are they really denying class war? It’s just that the blacks are at the bottom of the lowest class so they focus on them for now.

Do you think they take aim at the cops instead of the people who control “the means of production”?

Since they can’t get to those who own the means of production they target their security force – the police.

Are you sure BLM and Antifa are not anti-globalist and opposed to US wars?

I’m not there on the ground so I can’t say I know much but I think it’s not worthwhile generalising about such broad movements, I’m sure it attracts all types. And sure the Democrats and others want to use them for their own ends, some of which you point out, especially the divide and rule, and they probably have agents infiltrated in the movement, plainclothes cop and agents provocateurs, and whoever else – that seems inevitable. But those corporations making massive donations – could it just be kind of protection money, hoping the mobs will leave their establishments alone when they go on their burning and pillaging rampage through downtown? And invading suburbs and heckling ordinary people certainly doesn’t help the movement and could backfire on election day. But for what? To elect Trump to make Israel Greater still? Or Biden to keep wrecking US still further? It’s all such a mess. Maybe it’s best for the world if America just goes to Hell any which way and as quickly as possible – it’s done so much harm to so many all over the globe.

The Republican party isn’t really that much more Zionist than the Democratic party. In fact it’s not an area in which the Republicans can really differentiate themselves any more. That’s why the Republican brand of noisy Zionist tub thumping isn’t winning any more Jewish voters over. They simply have no use for the Republican party. This is something that ordinary White Gentile conservative Americans need to understand.

I know that you are an ignorant arsehole, But here it is in simple terms. Mike Whitney is not a Neocon. Donald Trump is not a Neocon, though his Cabinet is full of them. Possibly, if it wasn’t, he might be dead by now.
Since 2008 ( Georgia-Russia Conflict ), US and Nato Fighter Aircraft have been buzzing near Russian airspace. Likewise, Russian Aircraft have been buzzing near Nato airspace, particularly Norway and Britain.
Nothing new here, this is part of the New Cold War. Trump can do little to stop it.

You’ve just made sense of the corporate finance promotion that’s had non-stop coverage every night all 2020 summer: antifa and BLM.

    It’s not rebellion.

It’s mainstream Establishment sanctioned and the perps are informal corporate employees or corp hired independent contractors:

Marxism is an off-shoot of finance capitalism. Finance capitalists funded Bolshevism, which then morphed to become communism.

Gift from Trump? More than 100 Austrians get US Treasury stimulus cheques by mistake

    https://www.rt.com/news/500203-ausrtians-receive-us-stimulus-cheques/

” Nearly 130 Austrians have been stunned to receive $1,200 cheques signed by none other than US President Donald Trump. Washington’s sudden generosity appears to be a result of a mistake in its Covid-19 relief package system.

Citizens of the small Alpine nation, located thousands of miles away from America, were baffled by the envelopes containing what was described as economic relief money from the US. One of the recipients, 73-year-old retiree Manfred Barnreiter, told local media he initially thought it was some sort of a scam.

However, a local bank confirmed the cheques were genuine, and the man was able to cash it in three days. And he certainly was not alone in receiving an unexpected financial boost from across the pond: three banks in just Upper Austria reported 128 of their customers cashing such cheques – indicating that more than $150,000 was paid out to the Austrians by the US.

The Austrian cases are far from the first blunders in the distribution of the US stimulus payments. In June, the US Treasury sent cheques to a million dead people amounting to a whopping $1.4 billion due to an error arising from the fact that the Treasury and the tax authorities did not compare their data.

In another incident, thousands of foreign workers who had already left the US also received $1,200 cheques in early August. One tax preparation company told NPR that its clients in 129 countries, including Brazil, Canada, China, India, Nigeria and South Korea, had received the US payment.”

Pretty much an example of how whitney’s quisling likudite neocon hero trump regime does governing.

No doubt the trump regime bureaucrats thought the recipients of the payments were dual israeli-us citizens living abroad. 😀

The zionazi-gay persecution of Assange is the real neocon trump in action. This is the disgusting diarrhea whitney defends and promotes now.

John Pilger: The Stalinist trial of Julian Assange

    https://www.rt.com/op-ed/500083-assange-pilger-court-trial/

“When I first met Julian Assange more than 10 years ago, I asked him why he had started WikiLeaks. He replied: “Transparency and accountability are moral issues that must be the essence of public life and journalism.”

I had never heard a publisher or an editor invoke morality in this way. Assange believes that journalists are the agents of people, not power: that we, the people, have a right to know about the darkest secrets of those who claim to act in our name.

If the powerful lie to us, we have the right to know. If they say one thing in private and the opposite in public, we have the right to know. If they conspire against us, as Bush and Blair did over Iraq, then pretend to be democrats, we have the right to know.

It is this morality of purpose that so threatens the collusion of powers that want to plunge much of the world into war and want to bury Julian alive in Trump’s fascist America.

In 2008, a top-secret US Department of Defense report described in detail how the United States would combat this new moral threat. A secretly-directed personal smear campaign against Julian Assange would lead to “exposure [and] criminal prosecution.”

The aim was to silence and criminalize WikiLeaks and its founder. Page after page revealed a coming war on a single human being and on the very principle of freedom of speech and freedom of thought, and democracy.

The imperial shock troops would be those who called themselves journalists: the big hitters of the so-called mainstream, especially the “liberals” who mark and patrol the perimeters of dissent.

And that is what happened. I have been a reporter for more than 50 years and I have never known a smear campaign like it: the fabricated character assassination of a man who refused to join the club; who believed journalism was a service to the public, never to those above.

Assange shamed his persecutors. He produced scoop after scoop. He exposed the fraudulence of wars promoted by the media and the homicidal nature of America’s wars, the corruption of dictators, the evils of Guantanamo.

He forced us in the West to look in the mirror. He exposed the official truth-tellers in the media as collaborators: those I would call Vichy journalists. None of these imposters believed Assange when he warned that his life was in danger: that the “sex scandal” in Sweden was a set up and an American hellhole was the ultimate destination. And he was right, and repeatedly right.

The extradition hearing in London this week is the final act of an Anglo-American campaign to bury Julian Assange. It is not due process. It is due revenge. The American indictment is clearly rigged, a demonstrable sham. So far, the hearings have been reminiscent of their Stalinist equivalents during the Cold War.”

Pilger is a human being, whitney is a far right zionist hack.

Your assumption that Chosenites care about “history” is flawed. Chosenites care about Chosenites. Any seeming outward display of charity (organized, not individual) is for their benefit.

Blacks are used as a weapon against Right-leaning Whites. If 90% of Blacks changed allegiance to retardicans, you would observe a frantic rush to find a new invented enemy.

The US election from a foreigner’s point of way is always about wishing for the lesser evil to win. Four years ago Donald Trump definitely was a lesser evil than Hillary Clinton. This year, Biden-Harris are definitely a lesser evil than Trump-Pence. If Trump is reelected, he will no longer be constrained by the perspective of another presidential election so expect him to do a lot of sh*t on behalf of the zionazis.

The Greece part I would rather like to contradict. The Greek could have left the Euro – but they themselves decided wot keep it – because it meant a warm (and huge) stream fo interest-free capital for the country, which would otherwise have been utterly unobtainable. Even the radical right gave in – not to speak about the left – and everybody in between.
