“Rejection of Russian energy resources means that Europe will become the region with the highest energy costs in the world. This will seriously undermine the competitiveness of European industry which is already losing the competition to companies in other parts of the world…. Our Western colleagues seem to have forgotten the elementary laws of economics, or simply prefer to ignore them.” Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation

On Tuesday, Russia announced a 40% reduction in the flow of natural gas to Germany through the Nord Stream pipeline. The announcement, that was made by Gazprom officials, sent tremors through the European gas market where prices quickly soared to new highs. In Germany—where prices have tripled in the last three months—the news was met with gasps of horror. With inflation already running at a 40-year high, this latest reduction in supply is certain to tip the German economy into recession or worse. All of Europe is now feeling the impact of Washington’s misguided sanctions on Russia. Here’s more from Oil Price website:

“Russia’s Gazprom said on Tuesday that it would limit natural gas supply via the Nord Stream pipeline to Germany by 40 percent compared to planned flows because of a delay in equipment repairs… The lower supply of gas via Nord Stream to the biggest European economy, Germany, sent Europe’s gas prices surging by double digits...

Russian gas deliveries to Europe… have already been down after Ukraine stopped last month flows from Russia to Europe at … one of the two transit points… thus supply was cut off for a third of the gas transiting Ukraine onto Europe.” (“Europe’s Gas Prices Surge 13% As Russia Reduces Nord Stream Flow“, Oil Price)

The United States and its European allies have imposed more sanctions on Russia than any country in history. But Tuesday’s announcement helps to illustrate who is actually suffering from the sanctions and who is not. Russia is not suffering, in fact, Russia does not seem particularly perturbed at all. It has calmly brushed aside Washington’s attacks as one would whisk-away a fly at a family picnic. Even more surprising is the fact that the sanctions have strengthened the ruble, increased revenues from raw materials, sent Russia’s trade surplus into record territory, and pushed gas and oil profits into the stratosphere. By every objective standard, the sanctions appear to be benefiting Russia which, of course, is the opposite outcome that was expected.

Washington’s Economic Sanctions on Russia: Success or Failure?

  1. The Russian currency (the Ruble) has rallied to a five-year high.
  2. Russia’s commodities are raking in windfall profits
  3. Russia’s trade surplus is projected to hit a record high this year
  4. Russia’s oil and gas sales have risen sharply

There’s no evidence that Washington’s sanctions have achieved the objective of “weakening” Russia or damaging its economy. There is, however, considerable proof that the sanctions have backfired and inflicted a heavy toll on their supporters and their people. And while it’s hard to quantify how much damage has actually been done, we’ve tried to identify specific categories where the impact has been most dramatic. The sanctions have:

  1. Triggered a sharp rise in food and energy prices. (soaring inflation)
  2. Caused major disruptions in global supply-lines (Deglobalization)
  3. Greatly increased food shortages and the likelihood of famine
  4. Precipitated a severe slowdown in the global economy

So far, Russia has withstood these attacks patiently and without any retaliatory response. But we must assume that the sudden 40% reduction in gas flows to energy-dependent Germany is intended to send a message. Keep in mind, Nord Stream 2 was a massive multi-year, \$10 billion project to which Russia was fully committed until Germany ‘pulled the rug out from under Putin’ at the eleventh hour. Germany proved that—when push comes to shove—Berlin will always march in lockstep with Washington rather than fulfill its business agreements or act in the interests of its own people. What Germany is discovering now, however, is that acting as Washington’s poodle comes at a very high price indeed. Here’s more from Reuters:

“Gazprom said on Tuesday it has curbed supplies via the Nord Stream 1 undersea pipeline to Germany to up to 100 million cubic metres (mcm) per day, down from 167 mcm, citing the delayed return of equipment that had been sent for repair….

Gazprom no longer exports gas westwards through Poland via the Yamal-Europe pipeline following Russian sanctions against EuRoPol Gaz, which owns the Polish section. Flows via Yamal-Europe continue eastwards from Germany to Poland.

“Due to the delayed return of gas compressor units from repair by Siemens … and technical engines’ malfunctions, only three gas compressor units can currently be used at the Portovaya compression station,” Gazprom said..

“Due to the sanctions imposed by Canada, it is currently impossible for Siemens Energy to deliver overhauled gas turbines to the customer. Against this background we have informed the Canadian and German governments and are working on a viable solution,” the company said.” (“Nord Stream gas capacity constrained as sanctions delay equipment“, Reuters)

Naturally, the media is going to point to a maintenance snafu as an excuse, but how credible is that? How often is supply of a vital resource cut by nearly half due to a compressor malfunction?

Not often. Russia is sending a simple but poignant message to Germany: “You made your bed, now sleep in it.” Russia’s reaction is perfectly normal after having been “stabbed you in the back.”

And, Germany’s travails are just beginning because it has no way to make up for the energy shortfall it will face in the near future; a shortfall that will precipitate rolling blackouts, freezing homes, and a relentless strangulation of its domestic industry. As the German government is discovering, there is no viable substitute for Russian hydrocarbons which is neither readily available nor does the quality fit Germany’s particular requirements. In other words, the US has led Germany down the primrose path believing that they could simply switch to other energy suppliers and everything would be just dandy. That is certainly not the case. As it happens, Germany and all of Europe are going to pay more for their energy than any region in the world which will severely undermine the EU’s competitiveness. This, in turn, will lead to a sharp decline in living standards as well as growing social unrest. Here’s more from the Wall Street Journal:

“For decades, European industry relied on Russia to supply low-cost oil and natural gas that kept the continent’s factories humming.

Now Europe’s industrial energy costs are soaring in the wake of Russia’s war on Ukraine, hobbling manufacturers’ ability to compete in the global marketplace. Factories are scrambling to find alternatives to Russian energy under threat that Moscow could abruptly turn off the gas spigot, bringing production to a halt.

Europe’s producers of chemicals, fertilizer, steel and other energy-intensive goods have come under pressure over the last eight months as tensions with Russia climbed ahead of the February invasion. Some producers are shutting down in the face of competition from factories in the U.S., the Middle East and other regions where energy costs are much lower than in Europe. Natural-gas prices are now nearly three times higher in Europe than in the U.S.” (“Some European Factories, Long Dependent on Cheap Russian Energy, Are Shutting Down; Industrial energy costs are soaring in the wake of Russia’s war on Ukraine, hobbling European manufacturers’ ability to compete globally”, Wall Street Journal)

The Wall Street Journal would like you to believe that Russia is responsible for Europe’s poor choices, but, it’s not true. Putin didn’t raise prices. Prices rose in response to the EU’s increased demand due to shortages brought on by the sanctions. How is that Putin’s fault?

It’s not. And the same goes for the EU officials who accused Putin of “blackmail”, a claim for which there was no basis whatsoever. When that accusation was made, the price of gas in the EU was one-third of its price today. Is that how blackmail works, by charging less than the market price?

Of course, not. It’s ridiculous. Europe was getting a great price on a scarce resource until they decided to take Uncle Sam’s bad advice and ruin it for themselves. Now they’re paying through the nose, and they can only blame themselves.

Did you know that EU leaders are already making plans to ration energy this winter?

It’s true. Europe has agreed to become another basket-case US lapdog in order to faithfully execute Washington’s ambitious global strategy. Here’s the story:

“Europe could be forced to start rationing energy this winter, starting with industrial uses of natural gas, especially if the winter is cold and China’s economy rebounds, the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Fatih Birol, told the Financial Times in an interview.

“If we have a harsh winter and a long winter  . . . I wouldn’t exclude the rationing of natural gas in Europe, starting from the large industry facilities,” Birol told FT.

The world faces a “much bigger” energy crisis than the one of the 1970s, Birol told German daily Der Spiegel last month.

“Back then it was just about oil,” Birol told the news outlet. “Now we have an oil crisis, a gas crisis and an electricity crisis simultaneously,” said the head of the international agency created after the 1970s shock of the Arab oil embargo.” (“IEA: Europe Could See Energy Rationing This Winter“, Oil Price)

She’s wrong, isn’t she? We don’t have “an oil, gas and electricity crisis”. What we have is a political crisis. All of these shortages can be easily traced back to the foolish choices that were made by incompetent politicians doing the bidding of neocon fantasists who think they can turn the clock back to the heyday of American global primacy. But those days are over, and everyone seems to know they’re over except the insulated group of self-deluded fanatics at the Washington think tanks and their political spawn at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Bottom line: We all would have been much better off listening to Kissinger who advised his pals at the World Economic Forum (WEF) to wrap up the Ukrainian war pronto before Russia made changes that could not be reversed. Unfortunately, Kissinger’s appeal fell on deaf ears and Putin has already started redirecting his energy flows eastward. Check out this eyepopping excerpt from an article at

“The biggest reshuffle of oil trade flows since the Arab oil embargo of the 1970s is underway—and things may never return to normal. The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the sanctions on Russian oil exports are changing global oil trade routes. Over the past nearly five decades, oil flowed more or less freely from any supplier to any customer in the world…

This free energy trade is now over, after …. the Western sanctions that followed, plus Europe’s irreversible decision to cut off its dependence on Russian energy at any cost…

By the end of this year, Europe expects to have effectively banned 90% of all its imports of Russian oil before the war… For oil going to Europe, crude from the Middle East will now travel longer distances to European ports compared to the shorter routes to India and China…

For Europe, the choice of oil supply is now political, and it will be willing to pay a premium to procure non-Russian oil. This will tighten supply options and continue to support elevated oil prices for months to come.

Commenting on the EU’s embargo on Russian seaborne oil imports, Fitch Ratings said last week:

“This ban will have a significant impact on global oil trade flows, with about 30% of EU’s imports needing replacement from other regions, including the Middle East (Saudi Arabia and the UAE have sustained production spare capacity of about 2MMbpd and 1MMbpd, respectively), Africa and the US.” (“The Biggest Reshuffle Of Oil Flows Since The 1970s”, Oil Price)

What does it mean?

It means that inflation will continue to rise as Russia’s prodigious crude supplies are redirected eastward. It means that Washington has abandoned its 30 year-long ‘pet project’, Globalization, and splintered the world into rival blocs. It means that the dollar, the bond market, the western financial system and the so-called “rules-based order”—all of which are inseparably linked to economic growth that depends almost-entirely on the availability of cheap energy—will begin to creak-and-groan beneath the weight of feather-headed policy decisions that have brought certain ruin to the nations of the west and their people.

We’re going to pay a heavy price for Washington suicidal power-grab.

But you have to remember, the ((Jews)) running the Biden admin believe they’re “chosen” and ordained by Yahweh and/or History to rule the world; in fact, believe they’re the center of the universe!

So while rational people could have predicted such an outcome, irrational ((Jews)) and their dimwitted stooges have been caught by surprise.

Watch out, kids. The rabbis and gurus are going to want revenge against the world for refusing to see their choseness, and not rolling over en masse, more than ever. They’re going to unleash hellfire, drag queens and every criminal reprobate they can spring from prison. Because you didn’t try hard enough to please Yahweh/History and destroy Putin and Christian Russia!

Lesson: want to destroy a nation? Get it to roll over for ((Jews)) for 100 years or so via corruption, debauchery, and delusions of grandeur and omnipotence, then fence it off and frustrate its Satanism. Then watch its Satanic elites turn against the rubes and degenerates who were dumb enough to whore themselves off to the ((Jews)) for 30 silver shekels or Satan’s promises of world conquest and unlimited riches.

Is it Satanism or sociopathy and mental illness that drives them? Does it matter? The outcome is the same: self-destruction.

add to this the explosion at the texas lng terminal that has knocked out 15% of the u.s. gas exports for weeks further spiking gas prices in poor, old, stupid and subservient europe. the dollar has just about achieved parity with the pound and euro and they may fall below the value of the dollar. the fed jacking up interest rates is not about fighting inflation but propping up the dollar against the euro and pound, so when they tank with the e.u. economy, the u.s. vulture capitalist banksters can rush in and buy everything with their freshly printed monopoly money. of course russia will not be able to participate in the looting (sanctions and all, don’t you know) and i’m sure by the time they move in for the kill, the chinese will need to be sanctioned for tiawan.

I’m so tired of this drivel. European countries are run by adults, and do as they see fit. Did you know they’re tearing down Russian statues in Latvia? Did Brandon order them to do that?

Or how about Poland, which wants to send even more deadly artillery to Ukraine, weapons that even the U.S. is reluctant to provide. Here’s the Polish PM yesterday:

“We have not done enough defend Ukraine, to support Ukrainian people to defend their freedom and sovereignty. And this is why I urge you, I asked you to do much more to deliver weapon, artillery to Ukraine.”

And of course, there’s the always-troublesome specter of Britain, which yesterday was threatened again with nuclear annihilation by Russia–this time, over the British mercenaries fighting in Ukraine. Seems the Russians think they’re acting on orders from Ben Wallace.

Let’s be real about this: Europe wants a war. I hope they freeze their asses off.

If you want to be a politician in the west, you have to provide kompromat. A long history of being attracted to 10 year old girls works (that’s you, Joe). Being a pal to Jeffrey Epstein will do. Running a gay prostitute ring out of your congressional office qualifies. In simpler times, all you needed was to be a drunken ass up to your eyeballs in debt like Churchill. Now an aspiring politico is lucky if he doesn’t have to dress as a woman or dance naked while playing a piano with his __. I’d like to exaggerate for artistic effect but it’s tough to top reality. You seem confused about the use of parentheses to connote Jews.

First, the convention is to use (((three))) sets of parentheses, not ((two)).

Second, the parentheses are to be placed around words or phrases to identify as Jewish those things not universally understood to be associated with Jews, for example: (((Hollywood))); (((central bankers))); (((mainstream media))); (((US State Department))).

Third, there is absolutely no need to place the parentheses around words that are explicitly Jewish (e.g., Jews, Israel, etc.) as to do so would be redundant.

We now have a system running Western society, media and politics that’s based on non-accountability and easy deniability when it comes to responsibility. And to create (literally out of thin air by software) social media mobs to suppress any opposing opinion.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t work at all in REAL life. As facts and physics don’t care about Twitter, CNN etc. And no matter how much Western oligarchs have tried to integrate their opponents into this spider’s web they’re not (enough) part of it to be strongly (enough) affected by it.

And once it becomes obvious where Western society and politics are pushing with these methods the opposing rest of the world simply will not submit to it – China and Russia, but also India etc. They just “step out” of it and become basically “immune” this way.

So, no matter how much Zelensky is “winning” in Western media he actually isn’t. And no matter how much Russia is being talked into being sanctioned into bankruptcy they simply aren’t. And Xi Ping and Putin certainly aren’t and never were a part of the Western’s decline into insanity as Schwab’s front WEF tried to pretend until very recently.

Which leaves us in the West with those “elites” who think no matter how much they may now push into our economical ruin and total decline of society – up to and including a nuclear war – they will (somehow) survive and continue with their plans – afterwards. Hopefully, the rest of the world will put a stop to that. Or else we will have to wait for reality to do its thing. Which, unfortunately for us, may take a while to reach these people.

  17. Again Whitney asks us to believe this demolition of the western economies is due to feckless western elites.

Typical phrase: “the US has led Germany down the primrose path believing that they could simply switch to other energy suppliers and everything would be just dandy.”

No Mike. The fact that Russia has done NOTHING in retaliation, and that this economic distress was predicted and predictable is an INDICATOR or what the elite really want.

This is a war on the populations of Europe and the USA as well as on the ‘poorer’ countries with no energy supplies. The latter will simply starve. The former will see their economic and political power shriveled like Biden’s…..well imagine.

This is a neo con globalist transhumanist attack on populism and the anti transhumanist resistance.

Once you conceptualize it correctly it all makes sense. Ask yourself why it’s ALSO linked with lab food, puberty blockers, attacks on the food supply, attacks on home grown food, Red Flag laws, FDA approval of dangerous gene therapy for your children, hey, add your own facts, they all lead in the same direction.

If we continue complying, if we do not resist in various ways, the TRANSHUMANIST AGENDA WILL BE IMPLEMENTED and we will be well on our way to enslavement.

  18. Hitch says:

“All of these shortages can be easily traced back to the foolish choices that were made by incompetent politicians doing the bidding of neocon fantasists”

What part of “great reset” does Mike Whitney not understand? Klaus Schwab has laid it all out time and time again. We are on a crash course to “Zero Carbon”, and Schwab has made it clear that there is no going back.

This war in Ukraine was necessary precisely to cause the sanctions in order to strangle the Russian oil industry and to starve Europe and the west of oil. There was no other way to get to zero carbon. Zato instigated the Ukrainian war precisely to cause this energy crisis. Perhaps they didn’t expect Russia to do so well, but they did expect the shutdown of German heavy industry.

The same Jewish banking cabal that owns and runs the Fed and the US also owns and runs the ECB and the EU and the BoE and England. All the politicians across the west are hand selected and are nothing more than stooges. The US didn’t coerce Germany to shut down Nordstream II, the same Jewish cabal who own Schwab, Soros the USA, the EU and Israel did. German and European politicians didn’t bother to think about the repercussions of Zero Carbon because no one asked them, they were merely following orders just like when they implemented covid lockdowns and vaccine mandates.

The biggest problem facing the planet today are all the billions of Jewish Media mind controlled idiots. And the biggest mind controlled idiots on the planet are the warmist climatards. They are the ones who have been providing the politicians with plausible deniability for all their zero carbon insanity. It is extremely telling that the climatards were all in on the plandemic including lockdowns, mask mandates and vaccine mandates. It is extremely telling that those same climatards are now all in on the war against “Putler” and Russia.

These techno bureaucrats support the political beings, and the political beings seem to have partnered with a profit seeking network of wealthy globalist who insist that the USA give American tax dollars away to support many different non American interest; they have been doing that for years and years. Since the Russian SMO in Ukriane, the giveaways have increased to Billions at a time. Why is this?

I think it is because the profit seeking network is moving major operations [monopoly powered global corporations] from America to the East. The political beings seem to be facilitating the shut down of America, seem to be trying to circumvent the 2nd amendment, seem to be facilitating something like a program designed to get industry, technology and wealth out of America? It seems to me the political beings intend to leave Americans in the same type of debt crisis shape that the Greeks faced a few years back?

The Political system in Washington used copyrights and patents to assist the global monopoly-powered corporations to leave America, and they helped the globalist take American technology with them. The political beings replaced American students in American university programs with foreign students, and the political beings helped the profit seekers to move American industry and American technology from America. Just look around, where is our industry that supports our trained workers? What is the nationality of the Phds graduating from American Universities? Where are the trained workers that lost their jobs to departing industries, working today?

If you consider that sanctions were designed to continue the depletion of resources, knowledge, and trained manpower from America; then sanctions are performing exactly as they were intended to perform.

WSJ: Now Europe’s industrial energy costs are soaring in the wake of Russia’s war on Ukraine

No, it is a black lie. Europe’s energy costs are soaring not because Putin’s soldiers walked into Ukraine, nor because Putin suddenly hiked the price of oil and gas, but only because European leaders stupidly decided to “sanction” Russia. If they had thought it over for ten minutes, with a clear head whether it is a good idea to boycott Russian oil because Russia started cleaning Ukraine of Nazis and anti-Russia murderers, they would have decided no.

Here is another lie: Over the past nearly five decades, oil flowed more or less freely from any supplier to any customer in the world…

Over the past nearly five decades, oil did not flow freely from two major suppliers Iran and Venezuela. Their steady presence in the world oil market in the past 50 years would have reduced the oil prices even lower, thus China would have developed ever faster and better.

Not Putin but the self-absorbed, self-defeating, inhuman, heartless NWO fanatics, have now ensured that not only the 21st Century, but also the next one, will be Chinese Centuries. Putin throwing the weight of Russia with China has permanently tilted the world balance of power for the foreseeable future.

The moral of the story is, when you are building everything with fiat currency as the foundation, which is effectively a cheque drawn by a government on the output of its land and its people, it is a very, very stupid idea to gut down the production capacity of your own people by outsourcing your manufacturing and services to distant countries, just for the sake of good profits for a few decades. The world wanted your fiat currency because it could buy the output of your land and your people. When your fiat currency fails to buy the expected quantities of goods and services from your land and your people, the world will eventually abandon your fiat currency, thus impoverishing your people and you their stupid elite too.

After all, he predicted it. The Rove Doctrine is every bit as insane and insidious at the Wolfowitz Doctrine which is its main driving force.

Unless I miss my mark, The Fed has finally made its move against the internal and external factions seeking to replace the USD as the global reserve.

Just accept that The Fed controls the single greatest asset on the planet. A literal license to print money. Embrace the counterintuitive — if you were The Fed would you want to be given additional powers and objectives like joining Team Climate Change or administering ESG? Nope, those are traps.

I won’t belabor it. Suffice it to say for our purposes here that The Fed’s dominion has been hit from both sides. As is always the case, the assault from the left is much more sophisticated, relentless, and wholly focused on infiltrating and taking over the institution. Did you really think that the powers that be would let pass “Biden” attempting to install that nice communist lady?

That’s as short a predicate to make my principal point. After more than a decade of ZIRP and QE to infinity and beyond, The Fed is raising rates and signaling Powell is Volcker reincarnated. But raising interest rates, much less QT, will do nothing to fix inflation caused by a policy and regulatory plan to rapidly quadruple energy prices.

For years, the ignorant knuckleheads in Treasury/DOJ have been expanding the sanctions madness. In this latest turn of the screw, those idiots have done enormous damage to the USD as both the reserve and a safe haven. I mean, you really can’t make it up when they hold a news conference announcing they’re going after Putin’s purported mistress.

What has made the Ukraine set-piece a debacle for the US and the West is the sanctions. Not the war itself and not even Russia achieving its objectives there, which it will.

The first question is whether The Fed means business. Whether it will see this through. The second is what it seeks to achieve. My view is that it is finally making it clear to the Climate Change/Great Reset cults that if they insist on quadrupling energy prices, and thus the immiseration of the working and middle classes in the West, they’re going to have to own it.

Think about it, The Fed is now committed to raising rates until it quells inflation. Yet that ball will only begin to move in the right direction if the sanctions on at least Russian energy are reversed.

There is a perfect storm brewing for much higher food prices this winter. Food processors still recovering from supply line issues caused by covid lockdowns, the issues you mentioned concerning fires at processing facilities, Ukraine war and the late start to US planting due to a cold/wet spring. Winter wheat harvest is in full swing and the major producers (Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas) are seeing significant reductions in yield and quality.

The drought in the western US is spreading east.

With high nineties and little rain in the forecast for most of the midwest and midsouth regions for next 10 days.

All those late planted acres of corn and soybeans will start to suffer if the current heatwave continues for a couple more weeks. Temps in high 90s and no rain even for just a couple of weeks is a real problem for soil moisture and a late planted crop with underdeveloped root systems.

This could all turn around with some timely rains in July. But the midwest is due for a drought, which couldn’t come at a worse time given the food issues the world is already experiencing.

Yes, everyone in the “West” wants to go to war against Russia. It occurs at regular, predictable (?) historical intervals. Vast armies are massed at the Russian border and then they charge in. They march a good ways in and then get slaughtered (at great cost to the Russians). Then, what’s left of them retreat. But the West–i.e. US, UK, France, Germany, Italy and various sub-underlings–can no longer tolerate body bags. Total war but no body bags. Ergo, there are 2 possible scenarios: Either West (someone in the West) acknowledges the mistake and goes off somewhere to brood. Or, the neocon-controlled West goes off the deep end and starts a nuclear war–possibly on small scale at first–just a “warning”. I would assume Russians have informed Washington, Berlin, London, Paris, Rome (probably Tel Aviv, too) etc. which towns and cities would be struck first–smaller mid-size cities like Austin and Dubuque, Brighton and Salisbury, Nice and Rouen, etc.

Europe has more control of the US government than the other way around.

No one could predict all of the negative consequences of the “lockdown” experiment. So now, the industries that suffered financial loses have to increase profits. The Covid-19 did not sicken oil and gas and render it useless, and oil and gas production did not lessen.

How convenient it is now to blame provoked Russian hostilities for the lockdown carnage. Why was Russia provoked? And why can’t German politicians realize they are being played?

Once again, it seems that a major European conflict is being generated to muzzle the German economy. Germany was the number one importer of natural gas and the number 11 exporter. They were exporting over one third of their imported gas. With Nordstream 2, Germany would only increase their economic dominance in Europe. But the new German government is willing to sacrifice their sovereignty, the German industry and the living standard of their constituents for the good of Europe (Commission), and for the oil and gas companies of the United States, UK and France.

    • The emphasis in commodity-money relations has now shifted to the side of the commodity. “Our product is our rules,” Miller said

    • Demand for raw materials is now replacing demand for foreign exchange reserves

    • Miller stated that “the game of face value of money is over, this system does not allow you to control the supply of resources”

    • For the current situation on the gas market, we need to say “thank you” to the European regulators and the third energy package. Europe’s rejection of long-term contracts led to the rejection of investments in mining

    • Alexey Miller called the mass installation of floating regasification equipment in European ports a “very bold decision”.

    • Nord Stream-2 is ready to work at any moment. To date, there is no way to solve the problem of turbine equipment for the main gas pipeline

    • Due to the problems with Nord Stream-1, gas prices have increased so that “we are not offended by anyone”

    • In the near future, Russia will accelerate the implementation of the Eastern gas program. Asian demand continues to develop, the head of Gazprom said

They do, but alas when shadows of two world wars (during which Poland’s eastern and western frontiers shifted hundreds of miles) are raised they remember ancestral hatreds. Europe has been the Bloodlands for a lot longer than 1939-45.

    I have a Victorian novel

where Polish hatred for Russia and Tsar Nicholas is a constant theme. The hero is the son of a nobleman killed in a Polish uprising, raised in England among Polish refugees.

“In the spring of 1854, when it became quite certain that Russia would have to face the strongest combination of allies ever formed, the day of deliverance seemed to be dawning for Poland. It was a delusive hope, as we know, because Prussia and Austria, participes criminis, could not look on in silence while the Russian part of the divided land freed itself and set a bad example to their own Poles. I have sometimes dreamed an impossible thing—that Germany, which pretends to be the most advanced outpost of civilisation, and Austria, which boasts of her easy rule, might some day join together and restore their share in the unholy partition to Liberty. What madness possessed them ever to dismember that ancient kingdom of independent Slavs, which could never threaten Germany and stood as a bulwark against the barbaric Muscovite ?”

Such attitudes today are damn stupid, because with all the barbarism, tortures and deportations of Soviet oppression and Russian oppression before it, Poland and the Polish people are still there as a national entity. If the EU have their way, it’ll look like London or Birmingham – or indeed Birmingham Alabama. You have to choose the least worst – and Russia is the least worst.

There is no proof the sanctions have back fired.. Unless you can prove the intentions of the sanctions were different than the results thus far produced. I believe the sanctions are performing exactly as foreseen ..

I think you misunderstand the nature of jewish evil. Practically everything the satanic jewish collective does ultimately works against them, or at least generally fails to produce the results they seek.

For example, they dumbed-down the masses, e.g. by turning U.S. schools into indoctrination centers, and and now as a result they’ve lost the technological edge they once had over Russia and China. They tried to prevent Iran from becoming militarily powerful with sanctions, and as a result Iran developed its own domestic defense industry and has now become a force to be reckoned with. They tried to use terrorist proxies to overthrow the Syrian government, which brought Russia in. Their relentless efforts to disarm the people resulted in the prolific “ghost gun” industry. Etc.

In worldly terms, they’re breathtakingly delusional (just look at some of the laughably absurd comments of the jew trolls here); in spiritual terms, it seems their inherent evil (demon possession) gets in the way of their calculated evil (devil worship).

In a sense they’re a real life version of Wile E. Coyote. They only thing they’re ultimately capable of is destruction – their own and that of their servants.

The other EU countries, Anerica, Chile, Argentina and the rest of these clowns wouldn’t dare try this on with Russia, China, or any other real, sovereign country. Unfortunately, Poland isn’t a sovereign country. For the period to 2020, Poland received about 100 bn euros net from the EU. For the 2021 -27 budget, the projected figure is 140 bn euros – 20 bn euros a year.

At present, Poland has a government which does the EU’s bidding in all things except social matters. The future looks bleak. One way or another, it will be replaced by a government that does the EU’s bidding in all matters. That’s as things stand. The actions by EU ambassadors are merely part of this softening up process.

But subsidies have come at a terrible price. Industrial development has been retarded. The EU acts as a protected market for German industry. The main developments in Poland have been branches of German industry, such as they are. The subsidies hardly cover the cost of this policy. And, of course, millions of Poles continue to leave Poland to work in Western Europe.

It would have been infinitely preferable if Poland had not joined the EU and had remained neutral. It would have had to build up its infrastructure and industry on its own. It would have tried to maintain good relations with all of its neighbours, including Russia and Belarus. But the Polish political class saw the euro signs, and their palms got very sweaty. Now they’re finding out that there is no such thing as a free subsidy.

The only glimmer of hope is the Ukraine conflict. The end result will be the breaking of Germany and economic depression. The 2nd largest EU payer – Britain – has left the building, placing more pressure on the largest payer, Germany. Surging energy prices and massive blackouts presage economic collapse in Germany, and elsewhere. The EU system will collapse like a pack of cards, or be severely damaged. Economic contraction will last for many years. Many EU residents will suffer serious economic hardship. The governments that replace the present European governments will be forced to accept whatever terms Russia dictates.

As we know, the kikes look at everything from a tribal/racial perspective, and they definitely are a distinct “race” at this point….who cares what genetic mix they are, they are a distinctly evil entity that has earned its own racial category separate from the Caucasoid family.

The Fed is going to raise interest rates till something breaks.

As rates rise, so does the expense for a mortgage. The housing market is going to take a beating since those that could qualify for a \$1,000,000 loan now only qualify for a \$500,000 loan so sellers are going to be forced to reduce their asking price. As rates rise further, housing prices get reduced further. There’s going to be an avalanche of people that can’t afford their new payments on their variable rate mortgages to add a glut of housing that has to sell.

That wealth effect the Fed has counted on is evaporating in real time. There may be one more rate increase till they are stopped and shortly thereafter, we’re back at QE and watch inflation spike with no tools left to counter it. The currency creation will continue till hyperinflation becomes a reality no one can deny.

Compound interest is going to kill the Federal Reserve Note unless the Mob can gain control of Russia’s resources. The idea they want to kill the worlds reserve currency on purpose is retarded. All this madness happening is jews trying to set the stage where this time they get to keep everything they have stolen with their usual money from debt scam. When the hyper-inflation comes the jew mob gets dislodged and jews get run off. The want to blame covid, white people, Russia, climate change, and who knows what will be next so the people who lose everything won’t realize jews greed cost them everything.

Harold is correct and you are wrong. They always fail because they are toxic to everyone else and sooner or later it comes to light. What they have done with Russia was a huge mistake. Most politicians would probably love to turn on the jews. The people need to do it first though because the politicians know the media propaganda is powerful. If the jews mob cannot stop the inflation the people are going to turn on them for sure. Its only a matter of time. Russia is speeding it up but it was coming no matter what. They will probably cause a nuclear war because this time they ripped off the whole world and no one will come to the rescue this time.

I’m so tired of this drivel. European countries are run by adults, and do as they see fit.

Europe, and Germany in particular, is occupied territory. The GAE doesn’t maintain large military bases there out of a spirit of charity and goodwill towards men.

As you can see, however, it works. America lets Germany pretend to be run by Germans, and regular Germans buy the myth wholesale. Turns out if you want to be a colonial power, all you have to do is use one (1) cutout, made of local materials, and everyone immediately buys the farce.

  110. Hitch says:

“The German Constitutional Court ruled in 1955 that the “Old Reich” (Wiemar Republic) still existed but was without form. It has ruled the same, at least one other time, in the 197os.”

This is where things could start getting pretty interesting. Since Germany was vanquished and never signed a peace treaty, they probably could come up with some legal, or legal sounding, arguments that Pommerania, Silesia and East Prussia were never legally annexed by Poland.

Simultaneous to this, Poland is working within Nato to restore the old Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth that not only includes East Prussia but Galicia, much of Belarus and the Baltics. John Helmer has an interesting article about it.

Of course Galicia and Western Ukraine fit into this like a hand into a glove.

Another interesting aspect to this idea is Finland’s mad desire to reconquer Karelia. In a prior thread, j2 revealed the Finland has preparing for entry into Nato for at least a decade. This would mean that Finland was already making plans to work with Nato to humiliate Russia and grab Karelia already before Maidan and the “Orange Revolution”.

US backs idea of another military bloc

So if the dollar finally meets its just rewards, Russia is Humiliated, the Euro and ECB are finally recognized as being the fraud that they are due to the PIGS groveling at the EU trough, and central Europe is in a power vacuum, then what is left to prevent Germany from reuniting with her Prussian homelands?

More evidence for this possibility is that both Nato and the US are demanding that Germany re-arm and build out its defense industry.

Wouldn’t it be both ironic and poetic justice if Ukraine lost her independence due to her own stupidity only to be swallowed up by Poland instead of Russia?

It is known that Belgium and the Netherlands had large colonies on other continents but it is much less known that even Denmark and Norway had possessions overseas.
Again, I have seen Americans consistently vote for the candidate that they perceived as less bellicose in presidential elections in the last thirty years. Europeans on the other hand have consistently, repeatedly elected known, proven psychopaths to lead their nations. And no, it isn’t limited to the four countries you have listed, they all do the same.
Moreover, I have met Americans who have served in the US military and I can’t say of a single one of them that he is an entitled a**hole. Otoh, Europeans are p o s. Europe and China are near peer economic competitors so they

So EU is now no longer a serious economic competitor

But let’s not stop there, after all, we are talking about Globalist’s and what they’re up to. With Mr. Globel’s oversized shoes he is also busy crushing the US like some discarded cigarette butt. Now I don’t know where Putin fits into all of this, it may be too early to tell, however when he changed the Russian constitution to define Russia as a Christian nation with the Russia Orthodox church as the state religion, he also may have painted a huge target on his back.
The entire international scene seems crazy, especially Europe and the USA, who all seem to be trying to out-do the other in some grand effort to be the first to succumb and retreat into an yet to be published (but all ready written) history book. The same crazies who attacked the Church and then the Thrones then creating the Jacobins and the French Revolution, are still alive today. They called themselves Philosphers then, today they call themselves ‘Technocrats or scientists. Just listen to Yuval Harari or Kill Gates or my super favorite and super NAZI Klaus Schwab.’
All this war and inflation insanity makes a very good smokescreen curtain to obscure Covid19. (you didn’t think this was over, did you?) Into all the smoke the vaccine dead and injured have disappeared, but, don’t worry, we’re not done with Covid19 just yet. In the mid 2000’s when the pharma companies we’re trying to build the spike protein vaccine, the one we have today, they tested it on animals, mostly ferrets. Everything looked pretty good, for a minute, until some months later when the vaccinated ferrets came in contact with the natural wild virus. What happened then has been recorded; all the ferrets died, croaked, went kaput. Why? The new mRNA vaccine coaxed the body to produce spike proteins and antibodies, however when the natural flu or Covid19 came around their immune system exploded into action creating a cyotkine storm which attacked the host, and hey, they all died. So much for animal testing. They must have said: “we won’t do that again”. And they haven’t, they effectively skipped animal testing for their mMRNA (still experimental) vaccine under an Emergency Use Act. That said, this is what some experts are saying. When flu season rolls around many of the vaccinated will experience an out-of-control immune system, i.e. a cytokine storm, and go the way of the ferrets.

I mean, wonderfully new and exciting plans!— to link all humanity to a single worldwide technology that will surveil and manage us (2) would welcome someone putting the kabosh on that Great Reset, but aren’t counting on Xi, Putin, or Zelensky or anyone else being that person.

I can think of at least a couple of vocal people here on Unz who’d agree with #1 but aren’t at #2 yet because they are still holding out hope for a hero. Or they may be at 1 and 2, but don’t care to attract the “lols” and ad hominem assaults of people devoted to and/or trolling for a particular champion or ideology.

As far as people around me in real life, some of them are continuing to live the life they’d already been living for a while, in the lifestyle like that of their grandparents, quietly preparing for a rainy die, or for when the SHTF, whatever that S may be. They don’t tend to advertise their existence, unless they’re evangelistic about the lifestyle, because who needs a bunch of ill-prepared “friends” glomming onto you when a crisis hits?

Most people are so overwhelmed with the immediate pressures of life — how do I afford gas to get to work and food for my kids? — they have neither the physical nor the emotional resources… let alone the time… to deal with what Klaus Schwab is up to.

People hold out sieves to filter out people they don’t want to associate with. I’m already on the concave side of SOOO many sieves held out by people holding the “are you vaxxed and masked?” “Did you vote for Trump?” “Are you coming to my Robin DiAngelo book club?” “Hi Will you sit quietly in the pew while I use my pulpit to promote either “Progressive” social propaganda or neoconservative/neoliberal order war propaganda?” filters …THAT … I’m trying to turn into a “live like my grandpa” person, to better fit in with those who are, the ones who have the self-sufficiency, integrity and gumption to meet Schwab’s envoys with some kind of resistance. “Pew-pew! Hey! Looks like I’ve kilt a squirrel you can stew for dinner tonight, ma! One more meal we won’t have to be eating government-issue bugs!”

    Good luck.

A food for thought, perhaps re the above.
The same methodology used by TPTBs with scamdemic is, apparently, being used for this…ahm…”economic downturn”. Exactly the same.
I am positive the end result will be as with the scamdemic:
    -initial fear
-intentionally confusing (mis)information; that video above, from around here, is a good example.
-a failure of “our” side (read Ron Unz, Sailer etc…) to offer any alternative; worse, supporting the agenda
-overwhelming support from NPCs for anything TPTBs implement
    -the rest the “unvaxer” treatment

Now…it’s easy to be unvaxer, most of the time. For me, personally, it’s a non-issue really.
BUT, it’s in a different universe being non-Digital Currency (or similar) person.

Interesting times. In a bad way.

Russia is not perfect but their relative lack of political correctness, self hatred for being White, and rejection of industrial scale mass immigration and gay indoctrination is a breath of fresh air. The current path of the West otoh is hopeless and bleak.

Russia is somewhat recidivist to the cult of JC such that it is now a laggard in comparison to the countries of western Europe. Being a Christian nation, however, is like living at the top of a slippery slope which ends above a rocky gorge. When a nation of idolators loses faith in JC, the nation’s thinking continues to run in Christian grooves even as most of the private virtues encouraged by Christianity are cast aside like unfashionable crampons. Thus do we find among the lost peoples of the West an intense, widespread longing for Christian love and Christian charity to be made compulsory, with punishments for infidelity administered by state. If you doubt me here, consider the popularity of hate crimes legislation and the welfare state, which evince a lingering presence of those two aforementioned Christian ideals.

It appears that Putin and his domestic allies have steered the Russians (but not all nations of the RF) onto this same slope to national death. So I expect a big crackup by 2050 following intense promotion of skepticism among the Russians, who must be aware already, even if they are ostentatiously orthodox, that doctrines like the Ascension are ridiculous. If, however, a large number of sober Russians could bring theirselves to admit that Christianity is a cryptosecular cult—as indicated by its obsession with blood and the human body—they could open their minds to a transformation of their nation that lets them avoid the degrading, masochistic demise which the English, Scottish, Irish, Dutch, Danes, Swedes, Germans, French, and others in western Europe have chosen for theirselves.

The principal sector of manufactured goods exported by the US (setting aside commercial aircraft) is weapons. The most advanced generations rely on lightweight, ultra efficient motors and controllers dependent on the unusual electromagnetic properties of certain rare earth elements. Their extraction from ore, subsequent refining and onerous disposition of the associated radioactive waste, is technologically demanding and is, unsurprisingly, dominated by China.

The flurry of western investment in mines which followed China’s cutback of some rare earth exports to Japan in 2014 (for non-military uses), and which was subsequently rescinded in stages, has, eight years later, resulted in — nothing. The one RE mine in the US has failed to restart itself. And (((capital))) which seemed abundant, has hit the wall of technology. The US just can’t do it.

Aztecs were notorious for their sacrifices of other tribes and the Indians in the US and Canada were at constant war with each other long before the European ever arrived. Famines in India were happening long before the European arrived in India and are still happening in independent India. As for drug running in China, do a little research into the Sassoons and their background. As for two world wars, whole books have been written about the origins and I won’t go into that here, but suffice to say, it’s more to do with the warlike nature of man. Europeans aren’t excluded from it. The people really running the show need perpetual war as a distraction to the noose closing around our collective neck.

At Nuremberg Herman Goering famously stated:

“Naturally the common people don’t want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY.”

What I find most appalling is that after 2 world wars and hundreds of millions of dead Christian Europeans that Europe is still so easily manipulated into fighting a genocidal war against their own cousins.

All these Nato countries are being enticed to go along with the war mongering by promises of “new land”. It is just like WWI. Finland wants Karelia. Poland wants Königsberg, Galicia and parts of Belarus. Ukraine wants Crimea and Donbas. Romania wants Moldova and Transnistria. Turkey wants the Greek Aegean islands. Georgia wants Ossetia and Akhazia. The Jews want Khazaria 2.0. Serbia wants Kosovo.

There are countries that are willing to live with the losses of 100 year of Judea instigated world wars. Russia gave up much of its empire in 1990. She even allowed Ukraine to keep Crimea on the condition of a lease on Sevastopol. Russia gave up lands all around her periphery and even tried to join Nato. Meanwhile, vanquished Germany doesn’t even dare mention all the lands that were ripped from her by the “victors” of WWII. Austria has no illusions about regaining her past dominions.

But much of the Baltics and Eastern and Central Europe are behaving like the Europe of over a century ago. More correctly, it is their “oligarchs”, or “elites” who are obsessed with regaining lands. And we know that when Jews want a war, it is the elites that they have to bribe and entice with promises of free booty and land. Lets face it, some Polish farmer or factory worker has little to gain if Poland reconquers lands in Königsberg, Galicia or Belarus. Ditto Finish farmers in Karelia or Romanians in Moldova. It is the elites who will be given land handouts and advantageous leverage just as it was 100, 200 or even 1000 years ago.

Yet the Jewish media and the Jewish intelligentsia can still easily convince peasant goyim that it is in their nationalistic interest to go kill their brother European goyim in a war that will bring them nothing and most likely will leave them dead, maimed or far poorer. It is just as Goering told us at Nuremberg.

My mother once said: “You never really know someone until you have gone through an inheritance with them”. This also applies to all of Europe today.

I had made a nice return on UNG until a couple days ago. Apparently the Freeport LNG terminal is going to be shut down for most of the rest of 2022.

I bought the UNG dip, but it is based on US domestic spot prices, which have fallen due to the explosion preventing exports and thus increasing domestic supply. Eurozone nat gas prices are soring of course.

But I’m thinking that buying might be a mistake. Even if Europe is still out of gas by start of 2023 so that LNG exports from US can rebound, what is going to happen to EU demand?

With such shortages is it not likely that many German manufacturers will go bust by the time nat gas exports can resume from the US thus destroying the EU demand before the supply can arrive?

In many ways it seems that we are on an inflation/deflation knifes edge. War and supply chain issues are inflationary, but the pending collapse of the western ponzi system might destroy a lot of demand.

Interesting times. Maybe a half and half portfolio of commodities and cash is the right inflation neutral portfolio to have right now…?

In short it’s bunk. Is the environment in trouble? Yes, but it’s actually a lot of the actions of the climate cultists are to blame. They spray metals into the atmosphere to try and control weather, they focus only on carbon, the building block of life on this planet, while ignoring real environmental issues.

The exact same thing happened with vaccine science as happened with climate science (or are you on your 4th mRNA shot, eyeing up #5? Because that’s following mainline science too).

Let’s try re-phrasing the above, which is accurate on a metaphorical level.

    1) “Cabal of demonic, humanity hating elites”. Demons can be considered as metaphors for people or social movements that want to destroy all that is good. But what is good? Part of “good” is what is necessary to sustain life. We live in a certain kind of society, one that produces the necessities of life through industrial methods and a complex system of real time feedback called “the free market”, or “commerce”, or some modification thereof. Destroying industry and commerce would cause mass starvation, and is not good.
Industrialization and commerce, have been in existence since back in the Neolithic (which relied on mass shaping of subsequently traded stone tools from areas of the most suitable stone deposits to other areas) up through the present. The present system of industrial production in privately owned factories by blue collar workers reached its present basic form back in the early 1800s, and appears to have been a byproduct of the Napoleonic Wars and the industrial base needed to maintain the British Navy.

The “factory system” in the UK was criticized from its inception (and a bit later by Marx), and the criticism has remained largely unaltered to the present: factory work is not something that a writer would like to do, and writers/political activists are overworked, unfairly ignored, underpaid and want a government that gives them some of the income from factories.

The current Democratic Party appears to be in the business of providing make-work for college graduates whose main skill is writing, especially those from the Ivy League. I will call these people “writers”, as that is all they can do. Turns out that literacy is not an absolute good.

The capital removed from industry and commerce to pay the writers and follow their advice is killing industry and commerce, and the industrial economy. For example, about 70% of electrical transmission systems in the US are at end of design life, and the writers propose no money to refurbish or replace them, yet also propose that a massive new load (electric cars) be put on the system.

The writers, therefore, are destroying the basic systems needed to live. That makes the writers “demonic” in the metaphorical sense. One could make the same sort of argument for “alien species” using Dutton’s “spiteful mutants” as a template, and the “human hating” part is evident in various postings. As for “exterminate humans from this planet but leave it intact for their own use”, that’s more an aspiration than a real plan, an extreme version of “reduce humanity to peasants and Lords”.

  217. Two billion people now turn towards Putin’s Russia for trade. A coalition of countries have appeared on the world scene. They call themselves the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations: Algeria, Angola, Belarus, Bolivia, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Eritrea, Iran, Laos, Nicaragua, North Korea, Russia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Syria, Venezuela and the State of Palestine, a U.N. non-member observer state. Other groups with both political and economic ties have also made their way into the news recently; e.g., the BRICS countries, The Eurasia Economic Union (EAEU) . China is in the throes of initiating a monetary and financial system thus bypassing the U.S. dollar. This east Asian version of SWIFT is a creation of Sergei Glazyev. It will directly compete with Bretton Woods. Add to this ever expanding list, the CIS or Commonwealth of Independent Countries . A conglomerate that is outside western influences by establishing a common economic space. They are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan. Will this alliance turn to China’s AIIB rather than the World Bank? probably.

A new “G-8” has taken hold; They collectively refuse to participate in the sanctions wars – China, India, Russia, Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico, Iran, Turkey. In terms of GDP at PPP are roughly twenty five percent ahead of the old G-8, this estimate was announced by the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

Who or what group has been behind this globalization failure? It hearkens all of us back to “The Committee of 300”, a spawn of “so called leaders” directly inked to the British East India Company’s Council of 300, originally chartered by the British royal family in 1600. They made a fortune in the opium trade, and caused the addiction of millions of Chinese to narcotics. This group crystalizes the whole concept of a “New World Order” controlled by a dystopian and totalitarian Global Governance group. The three hundred aristocrats are the overlords of our U.S. Federal Reserve banking system, various corporate entities such as insurance, foundations, communications all presided over by an inner circle of people who have it in their minds that they’re cause is a noble one (forgive the pun). Headed by Queen Elizabeth Windsor II AKA the Germanic, Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (yes, there was a name change along the way) during WWI, because of anti-German propaganda. This committee is attached to the Royal Institute for International Affairs (Chatham House or RIIA), the Club of Rome, NATO, U.N., the Black Nobility, the Tavistock Institute, CFR Et Al. There exists today, concentric circles of aristocracy built around the Queen; the Queen of the United Kingdom (Elizabeth II), the Queen of the Netherlands, the Queen of Denmark and the royal families of Europe (further back in time, the Black Guelphs). In order to globalize trade, currency, to gradually create fiefdoms. This group of 300 would out of necessity require formal arrangements with non- “blue bloods” such as powerful leaders of corporate business and other similar “commoners”. These are the powers that be, kept out of the spotlight and are attempting to put their foot on the necks of Putin and Xi-ugh, good luck, games over., the paradigm has indeed changed.

i am not an investor but if i was i would buy physical silver as the price has been suppressed for decades by investment banks (goldman sachs, j.p. morgan chase) using paper contracts to artificially lower the value of gold and silver in order to artificially boost the dollars value, for the benefit of the federal reserve ponzi scheme. historically silver and gold traded at a 16 to 1 ratio and imo this is the give away, as the spot price on silver is a little over \$21 per once which would put gold at \$336 per ounce. the current spot price on gold is over \$1800 per ounce. the current ponzi scheme is in tatters and they will not be able manipulate spot prices, once the dollar starts it’s predictable plunge. when this happens both gold and silver will dramatically rise with silver having a better return as it begins to achieve a more normal ratio. a while back i did buy silver when it was a little below \$14 per ounce because i knew it cost at least \$17 an ounce to mine and refine, i sold it a few months later at \$19 and made enough to pay off my i.r.s. debt. with the cost of fuel spiking i’m sure the processing costs are much higher today, silver looks like a bargain again to me.

    { Russia can sell it’s products to Asia.}

Russia is selling its products to Asia.
And Russia has never used its natural resources to control other nations.
Other nations — EU, Europe — imposed sanctions on Russia.
Read that again — EU/Europe imposed economic sanctions on Russia.
EU/Europe banned importing of Russian products into EU: not Russia.
EU is trying to break Russia economically.
Russia still sells to EU/Europe oil, gas, wheat, buckwheat, rare materials, etc if they want it. But they have to pay in Rubles.

And if, for examples, Germany wants to, quote, “begin their own resource independent modality” — whatever that means — they are most welcome to do it. Russia doesn’t need Germany. Russia can sell all she wants to China, India, rest of Asia, Latin America, Africa. The world is a big place. Europe is about 500 million people. The world has 8 billion people. Lots of mouths to feed. Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus have the wheat. Europe doesn’t and can’t produce enough to feed itself.

Good luck with ”their own resource independent modality”.

Yet, unlike 1970’s, this time around, in a multi-polar world where China is a true superpower to reckon with; China is asserting its global hegemony while the US leadership is sleeping on the helm of its 1970’s ship; too busy dealing with the fake problems; Abortion right, Gun laws; fake legacy of Donald Trump Administration; infighting and political corruption within parties; and an old Democrat President with outdated views of the modern world, who’s “literally sleeping” on the wheel — albeit “wheel of his bicycle”.

water problems as Lakes Mead and Powell near empty, and the Ogllala Aquifer drains away

Chris Martenson covered this about a week ago – it was a very interesting piece, but failed to mention that a significant cause of most of the problems with SoCal catchments is the politically-motivated preferential treatment of one family of pistachio-growers – the (((Resnicks))). Gavin Newsom has his tongue so far up Resnick’s Chocolate Starfish that it just isn’t funny.

Not for nothin’, but the Ogllala aquifer is one of the key resources that enable the US to feed itself. This was always one of the gaping holes in Peter Zeihan’s claims about the inherent natural strengths of the US when it comes to agriculture. Zeihan’s schtick focused primarily on river watersheds (which look just great on paper) and excluded the Ogllala aquifer.

Then again, Zeihan’s mostly a regurgitation of State Department talking points – he constantly runs the whole “The US Navy has paid the freight for the global protection of shipping lanes” horse-shit, as if the petrodollar grift hasn’t resulted in the rest of the world subsidising the US to the tune of trillions of [US] dollars (through artificially inducing transactions demand for USD for commodities purchases).

Anyhow… the ‘A’ block (where Martenson makes sure to self-censor content that might trigger the lidded gaze of JewTube’s Cheka) is here, and is well worth watching ->

P.S. The Russians are probably quite please that Canada has Trudeau‘d the compressor repair (the Seimens nonsense). It gives a justification for curtailing gas shipments to Western Europe without specifically saying “Hey Germany. Go fuck yourself.“.

In this sense it’s of a piece with China imposing a lockdown in the city that hosts the world’s busiest container port: unpleasant for its citizens, but was pretty obviously undertaken first and foremost as a shot across the bow of the West. (“How you like no container ships, gwailo? We can do this ‘rockdown‘ bullshit whenever we want. Enjoy your slower-than-4G 5G… this disruption to world trade has nothing to do with you cunts blocking Huawei from your telecomm networks, we assure you.“)

China’s recent lockdown, also locked about 1000 container vessels into holding patterns for a month. The impact on global trade will have been significant: each vessel thus constrained lost a whole trip-time from Shanghai to Rotterdam (and lost backfill cargo, and had its entire annual schedule fucked up).

What identity, what language, what kettles (kakvi qratz bakrači) you are talking in the case of Bulgarians? What do you know about them?

Bulgars were an Asiatic tribe which came in 590AC to Besarabia (now Moldavia). They got permission to settle in Walachia (now Romania). In 677, led by karan Asparuh, they crossed the Danube and came to today’s Bulgaria. Indigenous Serbs lived there! There were tensions until the 9th century when Bulgars also converted to Christianity. Han Boris became Michael. The original Bulgars language was not spoken at that time. Serbian language was spoken without many differences until the 18th c when is slightly changed to look different. Bulgarians are 90% ethnically Serbs.

So, during the Alexander’s time, during the Jesus’s time (even during the Justinian’s) time, there were no Bulgarians, no Albanians, no Romanians, no Croats, no Hungarians, no Austrians, no Slovenians in Balkan. Only indigenous Serbs lived there and Greek migrants. Spartacus was a Serb, no Bulgarian, although he was born in today’s Bulgaria.

Such crap as ‘Squipetar/Albanian mercenaries’ (the most primitive group in Europe to have mercenaries?) and Croats as Hungarian enforcers are bellow any comment.

After Serbs liberated them from Ottomans, they had only 5 teachers, the rest of population was Illiterate. You got it wrong again Hitch, although not as bad as last time.

It was NATO and Muslim Shqiptars/Albanians that want Serbia’s Kosovo for various reasons, including land-grab, military base location, strategic location, theft or resources, etc.

Shqiptars/Albanians were selected by NATO for the well-known strategy: If you want to attack a country, pick a primitive and radical group, train it, arm it and get it to attack civilians and police. Once the government responds to these attacks, claim genocide, murder, and attack the whole country in order to occupy it and loot it.

The real reason Orthodox Christian Serbia was attacked was its refusal to be a NWO puppet. Serbia also refused Western demand to hand over its industries, natural resources, land, etc. – aka “privatization”. Hence the attack strategy with Shqiptars/Albanians KLA terrorists as helpers. They use the exact same strategy even with big countries like China, where Muslim Uyghurs are the “victims” to be “saved” [1].

Except not really. Fake history. Propaganda.

Leopold II’s Congo genocide of 10 Million Africans, Except not Really!

A popular claim floating around the internet is that King Leopold II, between the years 1885 and 1908 when he ruled the area of the modern Democratic Republic of Congo, killed 10 million people. This area was known as the “Congo Free State”, and in 1908 the Belgian government formally took over the area. This is based on claims in a book by Adam Hochschild, who is a co-founder of the publication Mother Jones. If there was a massive genocide, it appears to have been lower than the natural population growth rate. The population growth rate of the Congo from 1950 to 2016 has been around 2.8%. This results in a doubling roughly every 27 years. G-B’s estimate for year on-year growth averages to 2.3%.

And another reason to think this is that the Congo’s share of the population of Africa has increased from 1950 to 2016. And so the Congo’s population relative to the rest of Africa was probably lower in 1885 to 1900 than it is today. If someone was given an assignment to estimate the population of the Congo Free State in 1900, and didn’t know about the “10 million” killed by Leopold and thus what the population had to have been for that to be possible, they wouldn’t come anywhere near 20 million. They would come to a mid-range estimate of 7 million, with the highest plausible being around 10.7 million, with an absolute maximum of 15.2 million, a low estimate of around 4 million, and an absolute minimum of 3.1 million.

There are two more important facts to consider. The first is that there were roughly 200 Europeans in the Congo Free State administration at any one time, versus around 13,000 black FP troops at any one time. And so the mutilating, raping and killing that was done had to have been done overwhelmingly by the black FP troops. Secondly, there were no orders or policy to mutilate, rape or kill without cause any of the Congolese. And while there may have been some white people who engaged in these acts, it was almost certainly lower on a per-capita basis, but even if all 200 of the whites were vicious killers and sadists who traveled to the Congo because they knew they could get away with it there, there’s only so much 200 men could have done.

Between 1892 and 1894, the Congo Free State was at war with Tippu Tip, and had begun advancing westward, using an incident at a fort in which Tips forces attacked and defeated an FP garrison due to a dispute over a slave girl. And so if a dishonest or ignorant newspaper editor got some pictures or description of a battle in that war, he would have plenty of gory pictures and gruesome details, and he could then say, “this is Leopold’s Congo” to dishonestly seed the idea that this was normal Congo Free State policy for all Congolese.

In addition, if say some men in the FP chopped off the hands of 20 people, well, 20 images can fill up an entire page, and would make it look like mutilation is happening all the time; and he could then say, “this is Leopold’s Congo”. Leopold’s Congo did not have any form of population statistics. And so there is no record of how many people died in the Congo; this makes it easy for people to pull numbers out of there. Moreover, it is the Congo, it is a place where people die all the time for horrible reasons and live in conditions that Europeans even at that time would consider torture. 200 Belgian administrators are not going to change that.

In addition, some journalists can come in and take photos of people with their hands cut off, and then say “look, this is going on in King Leopold’s Congo” and the reader is then to make assumptions. The rubber quota was just a form of taxation. In fact, throughout history, labor rendered to the state was the most common way in which people paid taxes, since most people didn’t have currency. And that is how most of the Congolese paid their taxes, and Leopold’s policy was that no man’s tax should be over 40 hours per month.

In terms of cutting off limbs, that was a practice that predates and postdates Leopold’s Congo. In addition, several of the photos of Africans with limbs chopped off have Europeans posing with them; do you imagine that they would pose with them if they had done it themselves? Do you think they would want to take photos because they were proud of doing that themselves?

And activists, looking for a flashy number, say “10 million” and quickly cobble together imagery, anecdotes and personal accounts, without doing the first level of research and ask “is this possible” or try to figure out if indicators of past population showed a decline or increase in population over the period. A similar thing happened in Britain during the industrial revolution as politicians learned of the frightful conditions of factories, ignorant of the fact that it was an improvement of the even more frightful conditions of peasant life.

  269. @Anonymous

Excellent post; it was Engels who first alerted Marx to the “condition of the working class in England”. One could argue that it is Engels who proposed to Marx his life’s work: an amalgam of English political economy, French radical social theory, and German dialectical philosophy.

  270. A United Nations investigation has revealed that Ukraine soldiers have intentionally used a nursing home as an active base to launch military strikes against Russian forces. The AP was revealed, “Ukraine’s armed forces bear a large, and perhaps equal, share of the blame for what happened in Stara Krasnyanka, southeast of Kyiv. A few days before the attack, Ukrainian soldiers took up positions inside the nursing home, effectively making the building a target.”

  272. The EU nations are finished. Russia has a long memory, EU countries will never regain the cheap Russian energy which was the foundation block for their manufacturing success, combine that with the flood of migrants that will be heading their way, they’re flat out screwed.
