“Jill Stein had dinner with Putin, so… GET THE GUILLOTINE! That’s how we roll in this country now. Didn’t she know it’s illegal to eat with Russians?”

Richard Baris, Twitter

The Russia-gate investigation has zeroed-in on Green Party presidential candidate, Jill Stein, proving that the probe is not an attempt to determine whether Russia meddled in the 2016 elections, but a crude weapon to bully the political rivals of Hillary Clinton and her dissolute allies in the national security bureaucracy.

The Republican chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Senator Richard Burr said on Monday that the committee was “just starting to look at Ms. Stein’s campaign … as it continues its investigation of the Trump campaign.” According to a report in the New York Times:

“Democrats have seethed for more than a year at Ms. Stein, whose tens of thousands of votes in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania either exceeded or nearly matched Donald J. Trump’s margins of victory in those states, which delivered him the White House. At least in certain quarters, they greeted news of the queries enthusiastically.

Jesse Ferguson, a former Clinton campaign spokesman, said Americans ought to know if a presidential nominee, no matter how minor, had become a Russian asset or was simply boosted in an effort to chip away Democratic votes from Mrs. Clinton.

“Russian operatives were not promoting Jill Stein because they thought she would win,” Mr. Ferguson said. “They were promoting her because they thought it would hurt Hillary Clinton and help Donald Trump.” (“Senate investigators scrutinize another presidential candidate: Jill Stein”, New York Times)

Let me get this straight: The Democrats think Stein siphoned votes away from Hillary, so Stein must be a “Russian agent”. Is that it?

How long are American liberals going to put up with this nonsense? How long before they wash the mud from their eyes and acknowledge what should be as plain as the nose on their face; that their precious investigation of Donald Trump is nothing more than a witch hunt designed to intimidate or destroy political rivals?

The persecution of Jill Stein strips away the facade once and for all exposing Russia-gate as a complete fraud that is being used to exact revenge on the adversaries of Hillary Clinton and her reprobate friends. The New York Times even admits as much.

Why is there still no evidence of wrongdoing after more than a year of non-stop investigations? Why are there just accusations, allegations and baseless claims?

Take a hard look at the Stein case and you’ll understand why. The meat-puppet senators who are conducting these wretched show trials don’t give a damn about the truth. They know the case against Stein is completely fabricated. They also know they can carry on with complete impunity because the big money powerbrokers who pull their strings and order them about, are beyond the reach of the any legal accountability. That’s what’s really really going on, the fatcat honchos behind the scenes are just settling scores for Hillary’s lost election. It’s payback time for the Clinton Mafia. Here’s more baloney from the Times:

“Senate investigators are interested in unraveling what was behind the apparent closeness between Ms. Stein, a Harvard-educated doctor and perennial Green Party candidate, and Russia.”

Give me a break. Does anyone on the Senate Intelligence Committee honestly believe that Jill Stein is a Russian agent?

Of course not. They’re just harassing her to send a message to anyone who might be thinking about running for president in the future. They’re saying, “You’d better watch your step or we’ll trump-up charges against you and make your life a living hell. Isn’t that the message? You’re damn right it is!

And you call this “America”???

Here’s a clip from an article by Danielle Ryan at “blacklisted” RT:

“This is a witch hunt. It is neo-McCarthyism, plain and simple. The people who are outright calling Stein a Russian agent are making a complete mockery of themselves and of the American political process…

Dragging Stein into this mess … shows Clinton Democrats up for what they really are. It proves that the ‘Resist’ crowd’s crusade is not just about Trump and “collusion” — it’s also about discrediting all dissenting American voices and establishing their own definition of what political opposition is supposed to look like — and for the Clinton cult, it’s not supposed to look like Jill Stein….

Anyone who disagrees with the Democrats is a Putin puppet — and if you’ve ever been to Moscow, forget it — don’t even bother trying to defend yourself. Off with your head.” (“McCarthy-style targeting of Jill Stein proves Democrats have truly lost the plot”, RT)

Bravo, Ryan! That says it all. It’s too bad America’s liberals don’t see things so clearly. The World Socialist Web Site also issued a statement condemning the attacks on Stein. As always, the WSWS is on the forefront of the issue while the other phony liberal sites and pundits continue to support these thoroughly-corrupted and reactionary investigations. Here’s an except from their statement:

“The Socialist Equality Party condemns the targeting of Jill Stein, the Green Party presidential candidate in the 2016 election, by the neo-McCarthyite witch-hunters on the Senate Intelligence Committee…. The attack on Stein, spearheaded by the Democratic Party, is an unconstitutional attempt to delegitimize and suppress political opposition to the monopoly of the capitalist two-party system…….

In addition to the dinner hosted by RT, Stein, according to ranking committee Democrat Mark Warner, had “very complimentary things to say about Julian Assange.”… For having spoken out publicly in support of a political prisoner and dissident, Stein is threatened with being hauled before a congressional committee as if she were involved in treasonous activity.

This is the Orwellian reality of America in 2017, ruled by two right-wing, oligarchic parties that can and will tolerate no political opposition…..” (“Democratic Party witch-hunters target Green Party candidate Jill Stein”, World Socialist Web Site)

Imagine that; Stein actually spoke up for Assange, the highly-principled whistleblower who sacrificed his own freedom to expose the truth about Washington’s homicidal activities around the world? That’s got to be worth 30 years of hard labor at least! What a farce! Here’s more from the Times:

“Senator Mark Warner of Virginia, the committee’s top Democrat, would not comment directly on the committee’s interest in Ms. Stein, but pointed out that several of the interactions appeared to be consequential.

“I will point out though that Ms. Stein was at the infamous dinner that included General Flynn and Vladimir Putin, and we do know that she has very complimentary things to say about Julian Assange, who certainly was being used by the Russians to take some of the hacked information and release it into our political system,” he said.”

The disclosure that the committee is looking closely at Ms. Stein’s campaign is the latest indication that the Senate committee is still expanding its investigation as it nears the one-year mark.” (New York Times)

Do you hear that, liberals? Do you hear what Warner is saying? Do you like the idea that the investigation is expanding and that the hectoring, harassing and intimidating is going to continue for the foreseeable future and that it’s going to include anyone who admires men like Assange or Snowden or Manning or anyone who opposes the corrupt and murderous oligarchy that rules this freaking country?

Do you like that idea?

If you’re a liberal and you hate Donald Trump, then you probably see the Russia-gate investigation as your best chance to achieve the Golden Grail of “impeachment”. But are you willing to compromise your principles, join forces with the sinister and unscrupulous Clinton cabal, and throw allies like Jill Stein under the bus to achieve your goal?

How high a price are you willing to pay to get rid of Trump?

That’s the question that every liberal in America should be asking themselves. And they’d better answer it fast before it’s too late.

It’s not “how we roll in this country now.” Let’s quit evading the elephant in the room, the real cause of the problems. The “Anglo-Zionist Empire” is well named. 3. I agree fully with the article. This latest foray against Stein reveals the two major parties to be the heads of a fascist coin. Anybody who still buys into the democrats or republicans either has fascist tendencies themselves or is in denial about the nature of them. I think the democrats are the more extreme element because they are the ones spearheading the whole Russia propaganda sham, though mainstream GOP senators like Burr seem also to be eagerly playing their roles as lackeys of the fascist deep-state power structure.

  4. The “Talmudist-Zionist internationalist money power” (as Dominic calls it) is revealing its nature. This is a good thing. The more despoerate its manoevres the better.
Its only real value, naked self-interest, is paraded before us in a manner that exposes the entire Culturally Marxist system of “humanitarian” values for the fraud that it is.

The people running the system can only tolerate us actually voting when we select itheir own candidate (normally Democrat OR Republican but not, seemingly in the case of Trump … he really is different, if not in an entirely good way).

Mueller is clearly not the upstanding ‘protector of American values’ he is painted … he is a servile political degenerate. A lifetime of betrayal has rendered him ethically autistic. He is blind to the way his own actions condemn him before reasonable minds. Hopefully he will wake up when condemned hiself in an American Court of Law at some future date.

“” …the corrupt and murderous oligarchy that rules this freaking country?” is

    The Weapons Oligarchy

    {emphasize mine}

”With the Pentagon having secured its annual 47 percent of the April 15 federal tax haul ($1,335 billion out of a total of $2,890 billion) it’s a good time to consider the mountains of money being wasted on useless weapons or just plain stolen.

For 2014, the President plans a nuclear weapons spending increase over the current level of $7.227 billion. Where’s the money to come from? Taking a page from the Reagan/Thatcher play book, Obama plans to get it from the nuclear non-proliferation budget. According to a report by Jeffery Smith and Douglas Birch in Foreign Policy April 9, the president has proposed a $460 million cut from the nuclear non-proliferation program — so it can boost nuclear weapons building programs by exactly $500 million.[3]

Since 2011, Obama has been pushing a plan to spend $85 billion over 10 years to rebuild thousands of H-bombs — bombs that should be retired and abolished. The president has also proposed pouring $125 billion over 10 years into a new fleet of nuclear-armed submarines, new nuclear bombers and new land-based ICBMs.[4]

One plan is to return 200 B61 gravity H-bombs from five U.S. bases in Europe, where they are unwanted, and to replace their warheads and tail fins. Today, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, Turkey and Belgium are debating whether they want the U.S. bombs ousted permanently, yet the Pentagon plans to return them to European fighter bases with new “life extension.” Europeans by the millions are demanding that the B61s be withdrawn forever.

The H-bomb program, known as the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), estimated last year that the B61 make-work plan would cost $7 billion and produce its first replacement bomb in 2019. The Pentagon countered that it would cost $10.4 billion and take until 2022. Daryl Kimball and Tom Collina reported April 11 in Arms Control Now that 400 new B61-12s are planned, at roughly $25 million-per bomb.[5] Boeing Corp. hopes to make hundreds of millions working on the 50-kiloton devices,[6] each one capable of a Hiroshima massacre times four.

Joe Cirincione, of the Council on Foreign Relations and president of the Ploughshares Fund, charged April 21 that “lavishing” billions on the B61 “is criminal.”[7]

According to Edward Aguilar of Project for Nuclear Awareness, cancelling construction of the new submarines, reducing the current number of such subs, and retiring rather than replacing nuclear warheads and a couple hundred ICBMs would save $270 billion.

    Billions for unneeded, unusable weapons

As every combat or terror casualty since 1950 proves, our nuclear weapons cannot protect us. So what is this spending for?

One answer was revealed on March 14, 1992, when the Associated Press reported on a study — by Admiral Bruce DeMars — that made clear that the purpose of new submarines was “to protect the vast industrial facilities and skilled workers needed to build them, not because the submarines themselves were needed.”[8] Today’s plans are precisely the same. With its 5,000 ready and reserve nuclear weapons, the US can pulverize every major city on earth with over 200 each.

Thus, North Korea’s nuclear nothing somehow endangers the Pentagon colossus. On April 3, the New York Times said North Korea might have “6 to 8” nuclear weapons. Four days earlier it noted two salient facts on its page one: North Korea’s missiles cannot reach the U.S.; and there is no evidence that its bombs can be made small enough to fit on a missile. Even the Wall St. Journal admitted that Pyongyang “isn’t thought to be capable of following through.”[9]

The weapons oligarchy appears to be a racketeering-influenced and corrupt organization. Luckily, the RICO Act provides for heavy criminal penalties for such death-dealing corruption.

True, with this caveat: Russia-gate is also a fraud being used to wage culture war against the people who voted for Trump. Russia-gate is less Stalinist than it is Trotskyite. And thus Neocons love it as much as do the vast majority of Democrats.

Indeed. But ‘liberals’ no longer have principles of any kind. They have simply given up, they just are outraged at whatever the corporate press tells them to be outraged at, and feel good venting their hatreds in herd-instinct lockstep with others.

So in the special election for Senator from Alabama, all my liberal friends were united in hating Roy Moore, it was a bond. I’m no fan of Roy Moore, mind you – he was IMHO barking mad even before it surfaced that he was once maybe kind of a creep. But whenever I would say, hey, sure Roy Moore is no prize, but his opponent is OK with wasting trillions of dollars fighting pointless winless wars that don’t concern us on the other side of the planet and spreading death and devastation, isn’t that an issue? Surely this is at least as big an issue as whether someone was a jackass a few decades ago?

But it’s not, and it hasn’t been since the Obama presidency. Liberals have just checked out. They only think what they are supposed to think. I suppose it’s easier and more comforting. And given how absolutely powerless the American people are – witness the collapse of Trump’s foreign policy promises under the pressure of all this Russiagate stuff – maybe the liberals are right, it is time to just go along with the herd and enjoy the party while it lasts.

I am getting very disappointed about the westerners who pose as ‘progressives’, yet they are as opportunists as Putin or Xi Jinping who are in bed with zionist mass murderers against North Korea.

We are not going to be silent and will expose whoever ignores the crimes against humanity of Putin, zionist stooge trump, or Xi Jinping against North Korea. Why the western ‘progressives’ are protecting these two colonies who are in bed with Washington? If they cannot go against these mass murderers now, when they will? China is in very good shape economically, and Russia is in a strong position and have more than half of the nuclear bombs in their arsenals. We will expose them when ever we get the chance for their complicity with Washington. Also we expose the stupid ‘progressives’ that protect these opportunists and COWARDS.

[Two immediate questions come to mind. First, who is Trump to blackmail the UNSC into punishing nations which do not bend to the empire’s wishes? Yes, blackmailing, because that’s exactly what is categorically part of the chief rogue’s international behavior. Case in point is the recent UN Resolution to nullify Trump’s unilateral decision to declare Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, when he, the Donald, threatened he would watch closely who would vote against the US, with a view of punishing those nations monetarily or with other sanctions; and second, how come Russia and China went along with this literally genocidal program of sanctions contained in this UNSC Resolution?
Both Russia and China know that Washington’s arguments against the DPRK are based on a web of lies. That everything coming out of Washington is a lie, or untruth, or omission of facts is well known around the globe. But in this case, where two ascending super-powers, Russia and China have the veto right to say NO to these illegal sanctions, it begs the question, why didn’t they use their veto?]

  19. The first paragraph is obvious nonsense. Why would Russians interfere only in regard to Trump? The Russians’ purpose seems to have been to stop Hillary. In the US electoral system, third party candidates act as spoilers for the candidate nearest to them ideologically. Inevitably, Jill Stein would take votes from Hillary and therefore contribute to defeating her. In fact, as the article points out, that actually seems to have happened. In France, Marine Le Pen has admitted to receiving money from a Russian banker. It’s therefore perfectly logical to investigate whether Jill Stein’s campaign might not also have received finance or any other sort of assistance from Russian sources. If that isn’t the case, what does she have to worry about? During the campaign, the supposedly “leftwing” sites sang Trump’s praises to the skies because he was, they claimed, going to capitulate to Putin in Ukraine, while promoting, at the same time a vote for Jill Stein or abstention as alternatives for those who found Trump too much to swallow. WikiLeaks obviously played a role in all this and has not, to my knowledge, ever published any document damaging to Putin (unsubstantiated claims to the contrary notwithstanding). In France, two Americans and one Russian (at least) fell into the trap Macron set for them and sought to post bogus e-mails to what they thought were genuine Macron campaign accounts. Thus, It seems highly unlikely that whatever interference occurred could have been carried out solely by “Russians”. There appears to be a much wider conspiracy involving American accomplices of the Russians, who may well have been the instigators of the whole thing, some US websites and their (undisclosed) financial backers and Wikileaks. There also seem to be links to anti-EU campaigns in the EU. Thus, looking at people like Jill Stein makes sense.

You’re seriously trying to create a moral equivalence between those who are developing and building up Eurasia (i.e., China and Russia) and those trying to destroy and loot it (i.e., the Anglo-Zionist Empire)? Have China and Russia ever once threatened to attack Iran or North Korea? Didn’t they both just agree to lift the sanctions on Iran? Didn’t Russia just sell the Iranians the S-400 air-defense system? Doesn’t China conduct joint naval exercises with Iran? And don’t they have a mutual defense pact with North Korea?

  22. This endless stream of baseless fantasies about “Russian meddling” continually spewing forth from the corporate media and our debased Congress, ludicrous on its face, reminds me of the “weapons of mass destruction” propaganda campaign about Iraq in first half of 2003. “Weapons of mass destruction” was repeated so often it was shortened to WMD. Like the current Russian nonsense, it had absolutely no basis and our teams of military inspectors that were allowed by Iraq to enter and search (led by Maj. Scott Ritter) said there were none. Nevertheless, the lies continued unabated and despite the millions of people who took to the streets in protest here and abroad, the disaster of the Iraq war went straight ahead. The endless repetition of transparent lies is not intended to convince, it is intended to demand compliance with the official narrative and intimidate those who know they are being lied to.

Russia and China benefited A LOT economically from starving Iranian children by signing onto the sanctions against Iran. Where have you been?

Putin did not transfer S-300 to Iran for many years, although Iran paid millions of dollars according to agreement between the two countries, because the criminal Netanyahu and criminal Obama regime asked putin to do so and he did. S-300 was given to Iran years later, less than two years ago.

Russia is one of the axis supported apartheid entity in Palestine in 1948. Russia always has cooperated fully with the West against Muslims. Putin and Russia cooperated with US and Israel against Iran Nuclear program for years. Why Russia and China should let Libya be destroyed? Why didn’t they use their VETO rights against the mass murderers who killed thousands of people in Libya with lies? Are Russia and China are that dumb? Of course not. They did it to get concessions on death bodies of Libyan people.

They have turned the security council a TRADING PLACE doing business according to their interest, while thousands even millions of people are killed or starved to death and they do not care. THIS IS SHAMEFUL Where have you been? They did it in Iraq, in Iran, North Korea and many other countries to play it ‘safe’. Now China is making a lot of garbage, you call it goods, to send to the market, not to disturb its markets.

Iran sanction made many countries rich including Turkey, Russia, China to mention a few. Where have you been. For what? For nuclear program that all these countries have, yet cooperate with the mass murderers in Washington for few bones?

They closed down Iran nuclear program with full cooperation of China and Russia against Iran, yet it is NOT ENOUGH for the mass murderers and zionist baby killers. If they did not cooperate with these criminal, everyone was in the better position than now. Otherwise concerned people would have not published the following petition in support of Iran. Where have you been?

The Clinton people won’t go after the Sanders because he has too many supporters. The internal fight would tear the Democrats in half and thus create two new parties, and neither would be strong enough to win a presidential election against the GOP on its own.

Also, the Clinton-jihadis understand that to be successful at bullying, you have to choose victims too weak to hit back, hence the reason why they’re picking on Stein. The Bernie people would give the Clintonistas a black eye.

I think you’re right : Russia, the US, the UK, Israel, France, and China (nuclear-weapon states) did nothing to stop the invasion and destruction of Libya. Russia and China didn’t use their veto to stop it.

Same thing for Iran, and now for the DPRK. Because these six countries have nuclear weapons, they think their ”supremacy” will allow them to create a single global currency. Thus they probably all want Korean unification to create this single currency.

Destroying political rivals or putting them in the “crosshairs” is a great boost to ratings and the only real source of hope for so many discouraged Americans. It’s hard to imagine millionaire Jill Stein being anything but rewarded for being called out.

Imagine the national catharsis a simultaneous Trump impeachment and a equally symbolic Clinton frog march would give all of us. “Emptying the swamp” doesn’t have the same narcotic affect anymore.

The owner-ruler class desperately wants you to take things so seriously, which is why so many of the state’s disinfo whores write that they don’t support Trump but feel he’s being treated unfairly because, after all, he is President. The only way you’ll buy any of this elaborate fairy tale is if you believe the implicit but never written warning: “If this show fails you’re really going to get it!”

  49. Anonymous [AKA "Hubert"] says:

The socialists at are again right on target today.

“Wealth concentration on the scale reflected in these reports has immense social implications. It is impossible to seriously address a single social issue without confronting the problem of economic inequality. The colossal diversion of resources into private wealth accumulation by the financial oligarchy effectively starves society of the resources it needs to deal with the most basic problems.

The United Nations estimates that it would cost $30 billion a year to eradicate world hunger, a small fraction of the wealth monopolized by the world’s billionaires. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos alone added $34.2 billion to his fortune in 2017.”

And that goes right back to the above discussion and Hillary and the modern Democrats. When I was young, the Democrats tried to represent the ordinary Americans. The old FDR alliance was Farmers + Labor + Middle Class suburbs. All the people trying to survive and get ahead in life. The Republicans were the bankers and the Chamber of Commerce and the corporations. So, at least, ordinary people had a political party that at least kinda-sorta tried to fight for them.

Perhaps the worst crime of the Clintons and the Gores was that they destroyed this attempt at balance. They and the DLC allies wanted the money that the Republicans were getting to go into their pockets instead. They all became very wealthy in doing this. But ordinary Americans lost the political party that had been at least at times pretending to fight for them. America became a country with two slightly different flavors of politicians who all represented the bankers, the Chamber of Commerce and the corporations.

Of course, the Democrats are refusing to change this, even though it let directly to the disaster of the last election. The Democrats lost some traditional states that they carry in the Electoral College. And they were the upper midwestern states where they had relied on the old farm-labor alliance to get votes. It took 30 years, but ordinary workers and farmers finally figured out that the Democrats were not on their side, but that instead they now supported those who wished to rip them off.

The Democrats are now either avoiding or hiding the truth of this by claiming that all the white farmers and workers who refused to again cast a worthless vote for their enemies did so because they are all racist white-supremicists. They won’t acknowledge, even to themselves that they’ve done absolutely nothing good and a lot that’s hurt these people over the last few decades. Instead they stick their head in the sand and make up BS about Russia to explain away the fact that the people they’ve been shafting for their own personal gain finally got sick and tired of it and voted against them. It has nothing to do with destroying America’s industrial base and sending it to China so their new corporate friends could get mega-rich and pass some of that back into the pockets of the Clintons who’ve become milllionaires from such ‘public service’.

  50. Anon • Disclaimer says:

Part of the Hillary-bot rage against Stein is that they didn’t take Stein seriously before the election. The Hillary supporters calculated that since 1) Hillary’s female and 2) left-wing just like Stein, there was no reason for anyone to vote for what Stein offered because Hillary already offered it. In other words, the mainstream Democrats figured voters wouldn’t go for the generic product vs. the brand name.

It never occurred to the Hillary-bots that some Democrats might be disturbed by Hillary’s massive bribe-taking and money-laundering schemes, aka the Clinton foundation, which was on a scale undreamt-of by any previous Secretary of State. Hillary was accepting bribes for future favors on a level almost without precedent in American political history. The only comparisons that can be made are the Teapot Dome scandal and the corruption in the Grant administration, and in both cases, Harding and Grant weren’t the ones who were actually making the money, although they allowed their friends to do it. Hillary was enriching herself. As president, she would have become the biggest bribe-taker in all human history, since people who have decided they’re above the law are too arrogant to change their behavior. We really dodged a bullet when she failed to win.

Hillary was so outrageous as a pocket-liner that it caused a larger-than-expected share of Democrats who decided to vote for Stein instead. In Michigan, Stein voters definitely flipped the state to Trump. It doesn’t look like Stein voters were plentiful enough in Wisconsin or Pennsylvania, but Gary Johnson drew enough away from Clinton to damage her there. It’s also likely that Michigan’s optical scanners thwarted a lot of the possible electronic vote manipulation (except for Detroit, where they kept feeding the same ballots into the scanners repeatedly) that occurred in Hillary’s favor in other states.

There’s always been a tradition of massive voter fraud in big Democratic cities in favor of Democratic machine candidates. It never seems to occur to the Democrats that without this fraud, Trump likely would have won the popular vote if it were counted honestly. In fact, many more Republican presidential candidates would have won throughout American history if Democrats were forced to count votes without fraud.

Americans are also credulous children who reduce an elite contest of unregulated money into a fairy tale of winning or losing. Russia-gate sustains the fairy tale by adding the spice of so-called foreign intervention, it’s the perfect lie for the press to go at one another and obscure the scam of US elections.

Elections are contests for access and power with money. The industry is filled with consultants who operate unregulated and rule free. More powerful information technology to mine the public for data. (I post at Unz where do you spend your time?)

    Hmmmmmm . . .

I am certainly an advocate of open discussion. It would be a dubious enterprise however, to challenge the holocaust. How severe, to what depth, consequences and response is a valuable discussion.

But far too many honorable service members saw the camps and experienced the bodies and the survivors to doubt that the system was in play — in my view.

I think it is entirely possible to challenge US policy with Israel and recognize that the near 10 million people in the camps actually occurred. And challenging our foreign policy does not make one a

    “Holocaust denier”.

That recognition does not in any way diminish the tragedy of the other 60 million others who lost their lives that conflict or that vast array or tragic war crimes that took place elsewhere. But I would be hard pressed to debate whether a “holocaust” occurred. And I think the evidence is overwhelming that in Germany Jews were uniquely singled out first.

  56. Note: When I acknowledge the ten million or so plus, I accept that approximately 6 million were Jews.

Now some want to debate the numbers — that’s fine. whether three million or six — the entire affair, Jews and everyone else is hard to ignore as reality.

  57. This targeting of Stein looks like an attempt to avoid targeting Clinton. Hillary gets coverage by the media in the UK as well in the article on The Telegraph about classified emails to Hillary stored on Weiner’s laptop :

“One page of a document released Friday is heavily redacted and marked ‘classified’; it mentions ‘update on Hamas-PA talks,’ referring to the Palestinian Authority…….
…….Only one small portion of that email was deemed classified by intelligence agencies that reviewed it before releasing it to the public.”

But the big irony, IMH, is that after the election, Stein actually joined up with Clinton forces to try to bring the Trump win down by supporting recounts in states that, surprising, Clinton lost to Trump, and taking other actions to undermine the validity of the Trump win. She put herself in the cross-hairs of many Green Party members by bypassing the party executive in taking unilateral action in her own name to support Clinton. That raised the ire of many Green Party members. Now her new “friends” are turning on her, apparently, as she turns out to be in the cross-hairs of the spurious Mueller investigation. Good example of how the Dems use and abuse. I hope Stein learns a lesson from this.

Have you got the settimgs for automatic reaction wrong today? What has Dachau got to do with the Holocaust (real or, in your mind, imagined)?

Dachau, as any real Hitler or Himmler worshipper would know, was established in Bavaria in March 1933 for political prisoners. You have to remember that, at that stage, dealings with Jews was still very much at the shakedown stage.

  63. Maybe out in the boondocks nice people could be easily upset and feel bullied in the way Mike Whitney is concerned about. My take would be that Jill Stein is a big strong grown up girl and would not be in the least afraid of standing up to those unsavoury Clintons’ proxies. On the contrary, every slander against her by people of low public repute offers her the certainty of her reply being heard and amplified. What is more a Senate or House Committee affords a splendid forum for a well prepared feisty combatant.

So, knowing this, why are the presumed Clinton allies and apparatchiks going through the motions of terrorising people? Just keeping the ball in the air I suggest, as well as doing a bit of routine intimidation, effective or not, to maintain their status, but mostly keeping the game open for opportunism.

  64. geokat62 says:
    @Wizard of Oz

Would you say it of counsel who had retainers from.more than one major corporation?

PTI… While no one is suggesting one cannot have and serve multiple customers, this does not imply that entities should have more than one leader at the helm.

I’ve heard of a few corporations that have flirted with co-CEOs, but that is the exception not the rule.

The aphorism “no man can serve two masters” has lasted this long because it makes a lot of sense.

  65. ” The aphorism has lasted because it makes a lot of sense”. I was about to say “fair point’ when I woke up fully in the pleasant sunshine and realised I would be helping set the kind of precedent on UR about which one should be cautious. I suggest that it’s biblical authority (Matthew 6:24) has preserved it for hundreds of years against irreverent scepticism. I imagine there were many families in which disapproval would have greeted “I would love to fetch the pony trap for you grandfather but mother has just required me to cut the wood for the boiler and no man can serve two masters”.

A wiki peak actually points to an originally metaphorical meaning. That is that one can’t live a proper spiritual life while pursuing material ends (“God” and “Mammon”). Also “be the slave of two masters” seems to be one version.

So I suggest its survival attests its usefulness ‘- rhetorical rather than truth saying. Like “mate you’ve got to make up your mind where your loyalties lie; sooner or later you’ll find you can no longer finesse it”. To which the reply may be “thanks buddy: in the meantime I’ll go on giving what satisfaction I can all round, and thanks for the donation”.

  66. Skeptikal says:
    @Wizard of Oz

Yes, in the thirties quite a few Jews (and possibly others, i.e., purely political inhaftees) were sent to Dachau and subsequently released. If, say, the wife went on an odyssey to bribe the right people and get the right papers signed. One can read about this in quite a few Holocaust memoirs of families for whom the Dachau episode was the writing on the wall and they used all of their resources to get out of Austria/Germany.
