And with the endless printing of money by the US and the unconditional support to Israel, Israel will recover within 2 years. And the US bases will no longer be needed once Iran is eliminated or surrenders, even if they are all destroyed. Again a price worth paying for both US and Israel in the long term.

But there will also be many people on both US and Israeli sides that may not want to endure big short term losses in exchange for big long term victory. This is what the leaders in Iran are hoping for.

But if the US and Israel are willing to suffer, they can finish off Iran once and for all, and recover within a fw years.

For what it’s worth, and for the most part, the Arabs were never given a chance. Every attempt by Arabs to create a secular modern region was thwarted by the Imperial West. I recall Egyptian leader Mohammad Ali who had secured European technologies from Germany in order to modernize the region. Ali was crushed by the Brits through conflicts that led to a semi-regional war. This is not to whitewash the Arabs but the destructive influence of the Imperial West can also not be omitted. If it was purely a case of tribalism, the Gulf countries would too be like the rest of the Middle East.
