The election of Donald Trump has sent millions of people pouring out onto the streets to protest a man they think is a racist, misogynist, xenophobic bully who will destroy US democracy in his quest to establish himself as supreme fascist ruler of the country.

Maybe they’re right. Maybe Trump is a fascist who will destroy America. But where were these people when Obama was bombing wedding parties in Kandahar, or training jihadist militants to fight in Syria, or abetting NATO’s destructive onslaught on Libya, or plunging Ukraine into fratricidal warfare, or collecting the phone records of innocent Americans, or deporting hundreds of thousands of undocumented workers, or force-feeding prisoners at Gitmo, or providing bombs and aircraft to the Saudis to continue their genocidal war against Yemen?

Where were they?

They were asleep, weren’t they? Because liberals always sleep when their man is in office, particularly if their man is a smooth-talking cosmopolitan snake-charmer like Obama who croons about personal freedom and democracy while unleashing the most unspeakable violence on civilians across the Middle East and Central Asia.

The United States has been at war for eight straight years under Obama, and during that time, there hasn’t been one sizable antiwar march, demonstration or protest. Nothing. No one seems to care when an articulate bi-racial mandarin kills mostly people of color, but when a brash and outspoken real estate magnate takes over the reigns of power, then ‘watch out’ because here come the protestors, all three million of them!

Can we agree that there is at least the appearance of hypocrisy here?

Indeed. Analyst Jon Reynolds summed it up perfectly over at the Black Agenda Report. He said:

“If Hillary had won, the drone strikes would have continued. The wars would have continued. The spying would continue. Whistleblowers would continue being prosecuted and hunted down. And minorities would continue bearing the brunt of these policies, both in the US and across the world. The difference is that in such a scenario, Democrats, if the last eight years are any indication, would remain silent — as they did under Obama — offering bare minimum concern and vilifying anyone attacking their beloved president as some sort of hater. Cities across the US would remain free of protests, and for another 4-8 years, Democrats would continue doing absolutely nothing to end the same horrifying policies now promoted by a Republican.” (“Delusions Shattered“, Jon Reynolds, The Black Agenda Report)

He’s right, isn’t he? How many of the 800,000 protesters who marched on Sunday would have flown to Washington to express their contempt for would-be President Hillary Clinton?

Zero, I’d wager, and yet it’s Hillary who wanted to implement the no-fly zones in Syria that would have put Washington in direct confrontation with Moscow, just like it was Hillary who wanted to teach Putin a-thing-or-two in Ukraine. But is that what the people want? Would people prefer to be led into World War 3 by a bonefide champion of liberal values than concede the post to a brassy billionaire who wants to find common ground on fighting ISIS with his Russian counterpart?

It seems like a no-brainer to me. And it’s not like we don’t know who is responsible for the killing in Syria either. We do.

Barack Obama and his coterie of bloodthirsty friends in the political establishment are entirely responsible. These are the people who funded, armed and trained the Salafist maniacs that have decimated the country and created millions of refugees that are now tearing apart the EU. That’s right, the spillover from America’s not-so-covert operation is ripping the EU to shreds. It’s just another unfortunate side-effect of Obama’s bloody Syrian debacle. As journalist Margaret Kimberly says in a recent post at The Black Agenda Report: “All of the casualties, the sieges, the hunger and the frantic search for refuge can be placed at America’s feet.”

Amen, to that. All the violence can be traced back to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, home of Barack Hussein Obama, Nobel peace prize winner. What a joke. Here’s how analyst Solomon Comissiong sums it up in another article at the BAR:

“Supporters of Barack Obama, and liberals in general, are disingenuous frauds. They had no issues protesting the likes of the amoral warmongering George W. Bush or the racist xenophobe, Donald J. Trump, however when it comes to Barack Obama they can find no reason to protest his mass murdering escapades. Obama supporters were recently nostalgic and teary eyed after he gave his last major speech as president of the United States, yet can find little reason to shed tears over the masses of civilians who were destroyed directly as a result of Obama’s policies. Where were the emotions and tears when men, women and children were getting blown to bits by USA drone attacks, indiscriminate air strikes and bombs?…Those who protested the racist and xenophobic Trump, but not Obama or Clinton, are nothing more that disingenuous frauds and amoral cowards.” (“As Obama Exits the White House, Never Forget His Destructive Imperialist Legacy“, Solomon Comissiong, Black Agenda Report)

Let’s be honest, Obama got a pass from his supporters strictly because of appearances; because he looked and sounded like a thoroughly reasonable bloke who only acted on the loftiest of principles. Obama was hailed as a moral giant, a political rock star, a leader among leaders. But it was all fake, all make-up and glitz behind which operated the vicious national security state extending its tentacles around the world, toppling regimes wherever it went, and leaving anarchy and destruction in its wake. Isn’t this Obama’s real legacy when you strip away the sweeping hand gestures and pompous rhetoric?

Of course it is. But Trump won’t have that advantage, will he? Trump is not a public relations invention upon which heartsick liberals pin their highest hopes. Trump is Trump warts and all, the proverbial bull in the china shop. That’s not to say Trump won’t be a lousy president. Judging by the Wall Street cutthroats and hard-edged military men he’s surrounded himself with, he probably will be. But the American people are no longer asleep, so there’s going to be limits to what he can hope to achieve.

So the question is: How should one approach the Trump presidency? Should we denounce him as a fascist before he ever sets foot in the Oval Office? Should we deny his “legitimacy” even though he was elected via a process we have honored for over 200 years? Should we launch impeachment proceedings before he’s done anything that would warrant his removal from office?

Veteran journalist Robert Parry answers this question in a recent piece at Consortium News. Here’s what he said:

“The current danger for Democrats and progressives is that – by bashing everything that Trump says and does – they will further alienate the white working-class voters who became his base and will push away anti-war activists.

There is a risk that the Left will trade places with the Right on the question of war and peace, with Democrats and progressives associating themselves with Hillary Clinton’s support for “endless war” in the Middle East, the political machinations of the CIA, and a New Cold War with Russia, essentially moving into an alliance with the Military (and Intelligence) Industrial Complex.

Many populists already view the national Democrats as elitists disdainful of the working class, promoters of harmful “free trade” deals, and internationalists represented by the billionaires at the glitzy annual confab in Davos, Switzerland.

If — in a rush to demonize and impeach President Trump — Democrats and progressives solidify support for wars of choice in the Middle East, a New Cold War with Russia and a Davos-style elitism, they could further alienate many people who might otherwise be their allies.

In other words, selectivity in opposing and criticizing Trump – where he rightly deserves it – rather than opportunism in rejecting everything that Trump says might make more sense. A movement built entirely on destroying Trump could drop Democrats and progressives into some politically destructive traps.” (“Selectivity in Trashing Trump“, Robert Parry, Consortium News)

Right on, Bob. A very reasonable approach to a very thorny situation.

  1. Okay fact is that democrats are always forgiven for the very same transgressions which would bring the consolidated wrath of media, academia and hollywood upon republicans, amen.

Secondly this article completely omits the “Insanity” factor of liberals/democrats as if it does not even exist : Unredeemable democrats are in fact insane, and there is no getting around this bizarre truth.

In Germany for example, a leftist nuthouse beyond repair, the media, all of academia and every single name politician including all of the so-called “Conservatives” with exception of the gov of Bavaria have come out against DT, and they have gone so far as to say they know HC means war but she is still better than DT, meaning they, the Germans, prefer war to seeing DT as US president, now try and figure this one out without considering the “Insanity” factor.

It’s not double standards, it’s doublethink. War is peace, ignorance is strength, and so on. The doubleplusgood Ingsoc members eagerly participate in their hate-weeks, the proles mostly don’t care. What else is new.

The vile traitorous KM (kosher media) then rams the idea down the American public’s throat and the sheeplike goy morons, both rightie and leftie, both R and D, go along with it. Is it not time for the jooies to do their own killing on their own nickel with their own army and suffer their own consequences…and leave the rest of us out of it?

  5. Diogenes says:

“Double Standards” is a euphemism for hypocrisy. American Liberals [Democrats] and Republicans [Conservatives] are really neither in the true sense of the word they are hypocrites because they espouse a particular set of laudable political beliefs but endorse, by their actions, the opposite.

The American electorate is self-deluding and fraudulent just as their political class is a fraudulent and their so called “Democracy” is fraudulent.

So Obama supporters didn’t protest his policies because they weren’t true Liberals and those that protest Trump are just pretending to be true Liberals but they are really hypocrites.

  11. Anon • Disclaimer says:

Yes, the central question shouldn’t be about ‘should we be welcoming refugees?’ but about ‘how did they become refugees in the first place?’

    BECAUSE Obama expanded Bush’s wars.

It is a paradox of American Politics.

In a way, the Pentagon prefers the more pro-military GOP.
BUT, Pentagon comes under less opposition if Democrats rule Washington.

When Bush was at the helm, there was an anti-war movement.

Obama may have pissed off the military with his homo agenda, BUT there was almost no opposition to his wars, and the military had a free hand in messing up the Middle East.

Traditionally, with GOP in power, the military had wind on its back but opposition wind in its face.
With Dems in power, the military has less wind on its back but also less opposition wind in its face.

I don’t mind strong anti-war sentiment during Trump administration. Maybe it will check him any escalation with China or Iran.

  12. Jason Liu says:

It’s more than that. The left cares more about domestic issues and fighting their enemies at home.

Its only distinguishing value is sacrifice of civil and legal principles, rationality, and common social values on the altar of “diversity” and historical grievance. It is nothing but a tool for a faction of the ruling class to gain power and a license for high crimes and misdemeeanors by fomenting social division and undermining social cohesiveness.

Nothing really new except the intensity. The same thing happened in 1969. Some principled religious folks were already protesting Vietnam when LBJ ran it, but the hippies didn’t get active until Nixon bought the war.

Nixon was elected on a promise to wind it down, so logically the protests should have calmed down to give him a chance to fulfill the promise. Logic and principle had nothing to do with the protests. We were simply mindless tools of the Democrat Party, which hated Nixon PERSONALLY in the same way they now hate Trump PERSONALLY.

(In the end Nixon DIDN’T fulfill the promise to pull out, but we had no way of knowing that in January 1969.)

Effectively there is precious little difference between the policies of the left or the right as far as I can see. Mainly it’s labels and rhetoric that distinguish the two.

Please take note that there are no real political solutions for problems of a moral or spiritual nature, and there are no political cures for human nature, either. Political solutions are just another form of false gawds.

My worry is that the Left’s embracing of Islam as a counter-balance to Jewish power has led us to an incredibly dangerous situation. Did you see the video clip of a woman singing alluha akbah at the women’s march? It really is beginning to look as if the Islamic ideal of conquering the West is all but accomplished. 25. Anonymous [AKA "cynical realist"] says:

Political labels are the most misleading thing ever devised. “Liberal” means whatever a power center with sufficient clout wants it to mean. It can also mean whatever the foolish, the light-brained, or the deluded choose it to mean. Fly the LGBT banner and you can commit ‘peaceful genocide’ a la Obama; talk sweet, go for the big lie, and you can get rake in all the loot you want a la the Clintons.

Now where were the liberal protesters during Obama’s times? Depends upon what you mean by ‘liberal’. However, since ‘liberal’ is merely a placeholder for ‘foolish’ or ‘deluded’ or ‘nice people’ or other possible things, the question is essentially unanswerable. The one lesson the “progressives”, “liberals”, “socialists”, and “democrats” have taught us is that whenever they use sweet sounding words we should watch out for our lives, our rights, and our pockets.

Trump, very oddly for a politician, happens to use words to mean what they do per standard dictionaries, thereby depriving the deluded of their dreams and the politically correct of their lexical fantasies. An establishment and media grown fat and bloated on a diet of fancy words, doublethink, and doubletalk have had their ration suddenly cut. Oh boy, that hurts, that really hurts. So, egged on by the media and the power behind it, the deluded pack their dreams in their backpacks and take to the streets to protest the loss of their kingdom of high-sounding words, their fantasy liberal paradise. That is why they were not to be seen during Obama’s times.

Now the problem is not the creation of the refugees, but that you don’t embrace them. The same powers are now trying a color revolution on our own soil. His reply was over spending by the government and the over reach of government power, etc. Having seen what the Bush years had done to the cause of limited government I asked my friend, “Then where the hell have these people been these last eight years?”

“Conservatives” are just as hypocritical as “liberals”.

Agree. Mr. Obama – a monumental fake himself – has helped to unveil the thorough fakery of American left.
More on the same: “The Left Is Self-Destructing” by Paul Craig Roberts
“One might think that Amnesty International should be fighting against the Bush/Cheney/Obama regime wars that have produced the refugees by killing and displacing millions of Muslims. For example, the ongoing war that Obama inflicted on Yemen results in the death of one Yemeni child every 10 minutes, according to UNICEF. Where is Amnesty International?
Clearly America’s wars on Muslims wreck far more lives than Trump’s ban on immigrants. Why the focus on an immigration ban and not on wars that produce refugees? Is it because Obama is responsible for war and Trump for the ban? Is the liberal/progressive/left projecting Obama’s monstrous crimes onto Trump? Is it that we must hate Trump and not Obama?”

  30. annamaria says:

But there have been a lot of tears of joy on the Wall Street:
“The most important facet of Dodd-Frank, to force the Wall Street banks to “push out” their risky derivatives from their taxpayer insured, deposit-taking bank unit, was repealed by Citigroup in 2014 [hey, Obama!] by effectively forcing an amendment onto the government’s must-pass spending bill in 2014. … On September 30, 2016, the six largest derivative banks held \$211.7 trillion in derivatives versus \$179.1 trillion on the same date in 2008. Citigroup, which imploded in 2008 from its irresponsible gambles in derivatives and subprime debt has gone from holding \$38.2 trillion in notional derivatives (face amount) at the time of its crash in 2008 to \$51.8 trillion today – an increase of 36 percent.”

“Citigroup chose Obama’s 2008 cabinet, WikiLeaks document reveals” –

It is amazing that these rich, childish, and ignorant company heads that have benefited on the backs of many generations of Americans in this country that have sacrificed have the audacity to dedicated millions to enable this to continue. Instead, they should be supporting president trump in dedicating money and technology to protect our legal citizens.

    The Bush/Obama legacy in Afghanistan:
“The United States is spending \$4 million an hour on planes, drones, bombs, guns, and over-priced contractors in a country that needs food and agricultural equipment, much of which could be provided by U.S. businesses. Thus far, the United States has spent an outrageous \$783 billion with virtually nothing to show for it except the death of thousands of U.S. soldiers, and the death, injury and displacement of millions of Afghans. The Afghanistan War has been and will continue to be, as long as it lasts, a steady source of scandalous stories of fraud and waste. Even as an investment in the U.S. economy this war has been a bust.”

  33. “In other words, selectivity in opposing and criticizing Trump – where he rightly deserves it – rather than opportunism in rejecting everything that Trump says might make more sense.”

Absolutely correct, that would make more sense, which is why today’s Democrats are never going to take that approach. They’re comprised mostly of overgrown children who shriek and stomp their feet whenever society refuses to indulge their bizarre whims, in case you haven’t noticed. Instead of offering critiques of Trump that a normal adult could appreciate, they will continue to constantly shriek that the Fourth Reich is upon us and that any sensible immigration restriction is the equivalent of kristallnacht.

And I for one am relishing it. The Democrats and their Leftist “anti-fascist” foot soldiers are alienating themselves from the rest of the country to the point of irrelevancy. Yes, that means Trump has no effective opposition to keep him in check. But I’ll gladly take Trump without an effective opposition, for all of his faults, over a Democrat administration facing no effective opposition as the Dems would further our national suicide.

These refugees ought to be called ‘refugees from globalist imperialism’.

That way, it will be difficult for the Prog-Glob-elitists to feign compassion as saviors of these people. THEY are the ones who fomented the wars(in cahoots with Neocon Globalists) that turned Middle East and North Africa into a horror-show that led to the Refugee Crisis.

The First Nakba led to the destruction of Palestine, resulting in Palestinian refugees expelled into Lebanon and Jordan.

After the Cold War, we had the Second, Third, and Fourth Nakba.

Second Nakba destroyed Iraq and led to massive Iraqi Sunni and Christian refugee migration into Syria.

Third Nakba destroyed Libya and led to massive African ‘refugee’ invasion into EU.

Fourth Nakba involved the US working with its proxies, Saudis and Qatar, to foment war in Syria, leading to massive Syrian refugee crisis.

These people-on-the-move are Refugees from Nakbas fomented by Anglo-Zionist Globlism.

So, if patriots say, “We don’t want refugees”, they’ve put themselves in a morally defensive position whereas the pro-refugee go on moral offensive with their ‘compassion’.

But if patriots say “Stop creating these Refugees of Nakba”, they gain the moral high ground by ACCUSING the globalists of causing all these Nakbas that reduce Arabs/Muslims into Refugees without a home.

“The truth is this: In the history of accepting refugees in this country, none has committed a terrorist attack on our soil.” So, the moral, “keep guns out of the hands of dangerous and hateful people.” Yes, they said gun control for “hateful people.”

It’s been a difficult week and a half for many of us. Every day, it seems there’s a new assault on the values that have historically defined what it means to be an American.

On Friday, President Trump announced the start of his Muslim ban proposal. It’s not the first time a president has taken aim at the Constitution under the guise of keeping Americans safe. But rarely has such an assault been so disconnected from the threats we truly face. The truth is this: In the history of accepting refugees in this country, none has committed a terrorist attack on our soil.

Let’s put it in perspective. There is a group that has proven itself to be far more deadly on American soil. A group that has killed someone once a week for the last two years.

That’s why we’re fighting to ensure guns are kept safe from kids. That’s why we stand up to the gun lobby and fight to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous and hateful people.

There’s nothing spontaneous about any of this. It’s all been planned and led by people who are careful to have a few layers of buffer around them to cover the actual cynical way the dupes in the streets are being used. “…Trump has no effective opposition to keep him in check. ”
Actually we do nee d a healthy counterbalance. For instance:
“Trump Orders Military to Prepare for World War,” by Tom Eley
“The order [Rebuilding the US Armed Forces] unmistakably threatens the use of nuclear weapons. Section 3 calls for a nuclear force “to deter 21st century threats” and, menacingly, to “achieve Presidential objectives should deterrence fail.” It further calls for a plan “to achieve readiness objectives” for the use of the nuclear arsenal “by 2022.” This would include the “modernization” of the US nuclear force, a greatly expanded missile defense system, and increased emphasis on cyber warfare, which aims to cripple the retaliatory capacity of major adversaries by targeting their digital and telecommunication command structures prior to an American strike.
These actions follow on a move by the Obama administration to implement a \$1 trillion upgrade in the country’s nuclear arsenal.
The executive action did not put a price tag on new military spending, but media speculation indicates that the figure could approach an additional \$100 billion per year. Trump’s military plans hew closely to a Heritage Foundation proposal that calls for the revamping of the nuclear force, the expansion of the Navy to 350 ships, the Air Force to 1,200 fighter and attack jets, the Marine Corps from 24 to 36 divisions, and the Army to more than a half a million soldiers. The US currently spends approximately \$600 billion on its military annually—excluding expenditures on the intelligence agencies and Veterans Administration— more than the next nine largest military spenders combined. American “defense” spending accounts for, by itself, over one third of all global military spending, and it consumes the great majority of the federal discretionary budget.
Increases in military spending, coupled with Trump’s promises to drastically lower taxes on corporations and the rich, must inevitably be paid for by cuts to education, health care and infrastructure, and by plundering Social Security and Medicare.”

  42. @helena

Apologies, helena; I too often resort to sarcasm. “Sarcasm is like watering the garden with saltwater.”

As well, I’m not British. It’s my impression that there are far more Muslims in Britain than in the US, in raw numbers and proportionally. At the same time, you Brits have a lot to answer for, in my (jaundiced) view; you’ve been responsible for despoiling many a Muslim state — what comes around goes around. My sense of the turmoil in the Middle East is based on lectures of the history of the era by Salim Yaqub; they starting off with the observation of the double-dealing of Sykes-Picot and the Balfour declaration; and Wilson’s betrayal of his 14 Points promises of self determination to Ottoman states, at Versailles. Perhaps I should move beyond that, but foundations are important, and it is impossible to ignore the enormity of those twin betrayals; they still demand redress.

EDIT: I must add that my impression is that Jewish/Israeli/zionist influence over US government, for the last 90+ years, is a far larger problem in USA than the presence of Muslims.

There’s a small college in USA whose president worships Churchill and endorses British values; he’s fond of repeating, “The British did not build an empire by refraining from being brutal.” I don’t endorse “brutality” as a value my country should emulate, mostly because (see above): What comes around goes around.

Am I saying that the British people deserve to be overwhelmed by Muslims? No.
Rather, I would say, You’ve got your problems, based on your historical behaviors, and we in the USA have ours, based on different historical behaviors. May the gods help both of us to resolve our situations with wisdom and character.

  49. In 2009 I organized a protest against warmonger Obama while he vacationed on Martha’s Vineyard that featured Cindy Sheehan.

Our prediction, in Obama; The PostModern Coup (Tarpley & Marshall) that Obama would be the face-lift for American Imperialism had been proven correct and Obama the Warmonger needed to be stopped. We also know that the Foundations would not fund protests against Obama, but something needed to be done. So I called Cindy Sheehan and she said she would love to come to Martha’s Vineyard but no one wanted to help her. So I tried, got Laurie Dobson on board and off we were and what an adventure we had. Better time than Darth Obama driving around in his black box train of death while military circled the stratosphere above. We were a small but merry band.

Look the Foundation funded Peace Movement abandoned Cindy and the fight against the war. Cindy already knew in 2007, after she got the Democrats back in the majority in Congress, that the Democrats did not want to stop the war.

So the day we were to give our Press Conference that morning as the radio alarm awoke me to the news. Ted Kennedy was Dead.

Immediately I knew that we had to postpone the press conference for a few days.

Certainly the thought went through our minds. Was Ted given a little push for the Team.

That would make three brothers. Who will ever know, but we do know that Obama never
wanted to face Cindy Sheehan as Bush was forced to and woke everyone else up.

One point of difference between Muslim immigrants to the UK and the USA is that many of the first waves of immigrants to the UK arrived from lands that had been part of the British Empire and were already quite acculturated, spoke English, etc. This is probably decreasingly the case, but I think it is still a factor. I believe more recent immigration to the UK has seen greater numbers from Eastern Europe, and this has created a whole new set of problems.

All of this stuff in the first week: he is keeping his promises; he is trying to provoke a reaction. The ball is thrown in the court of the opposition, they must respond, and eventually a mutually acceptable solution will be found. The immigration ban has many obvious omissions (Tunisia, Saudi, Afghanistan, Pakistan), but will no doubt evolve in the coming weeks and months to something that most will see as a reasonable protection of American lives.

Tony Blair placed a cap on nurse training, which has been oversubscribed every year – I don’t think it has been removed yet either. It was a cheap trick to create a need for migrants. Instead, education for the past three decades has focused on moral issues and meaningless categorisations thus creating generations of easily offended, self-interested people, dependent on group membership, with few skills and zero ability to think independently, objectively and critically.

And when we make such exposures, we should not vindicate the Western “left” in opposition in nations like the UK, Australia and in the recent past in Canada. There was not a word, not a whisper to stop the onslaught of those wars, and if anything, the West as a whole, either directly by the action of “left” governments or by the tacit support of “left” opposition, has been actively engaged in financing and supporting the most oppressive world regimes and helping finance, arm, and facilitate the activities of fundamentalist terror organizations.”
“Apart from the name tag, what is left of the “left” in “the Western left” and the “left” in general is a combination of remnants of old ideas mashed together with some new-age fantasies that only merge in minds that do not seem to be able to understand the concept of compatibility.”

Mussolini was genuinely attempting to unify, modernize and achieve prosperity for a broad swathe of Italians who had been fragmented and ruled by multiple foreign powers for centuries. Many Italians were poor and uneducated.

If you call National Socialism “fascism,” German NS was an entirely different situation as well: Germans had had traditions and institutions of unity, literacy and culture, but those values had been undermined, and the people had been physically and spiritually shattered.

In contrast, the Pussy Protesters were probably some of the most highly educated people in the nation, and they were not the “tired, poor, huddled masses,” they were privileged SJWs who had never known hunger beyond foregoing a latte before their yoga session.

re the airport protests: the generation(s) that passed thru Ellis Island did not have business class airline tickets and designer luggage. They had cardboard boxes and a bad case of steerage-induced seasickness.

imo “brainwashed,” “infantile,” and helena’s comment @ 58 nailed it:

you know that is not true, if, as I suspect you have, you read history.
When did multiple powers invade Italia? At the fall of the western Roman empire, sure, too many, but that was long ago. I am sure you know something of the history.

Played with is the more accurate.

The other, the eastern Empire, a very sad tale, but not so so bad under Justinian and Belisarius, in those times, the eastern Empire was close to the fall of the western, in time, and you will find numerous believers in the old Gods still in Constantinople, Zosimus, others,
Overseas, I met several people, one an Italian man, my contemporary, he was talking about Mussolini’s agenda, and how Mussolini’ had appealed to his (my friend’s) parents. I was to meeting such parents, they have a better polity than the permitted version, and sure led to, or, at house gatherings, great food. Actually I know very little of Italian history, and I am certainly not a Mussolini fanboy — my Mother left Italy with her family when they learned that Mussolini was drafting boys to invade Ethiopia, and my grandfather chose to give up his home and farm rather than give up his sons to that army.

BUT — one of Italy’s goals in WWI was to get out from domination of the Austrian empire — see The holocaust : Italy’s struggle with the Hapsburg, published 1919

Italian history resources on the internet are scant and of poor quality, mainly 4 min videos pitched to tourism.

If you try to find information about Italy’s struggle against Austrian empire on internet, google will offer at least 5 pages of “Italy and the Jewish holocaust.”

That’s one of the things that really pisses me off about Jews and their faux holocaust: they suck all the oxygen out of the air. Like Jews and only Jews are the only people who matter.

“they are communist foot soldiers for the marxist elite which is striving for a world marxist government and no borders, no nation states.”

Yes and no. The movement is essentially capitalist, I call it Feudal Capitalism. It is driven by a Baronial Class made up of CEOs, and the legal, financial and media sectors. The CEOs represent the productive component whilst the other three sectors represent rent-seekers, non-material, plus of course material rent-seekers in the property sector.

The genius of this system is that the Baronial Class hit upon the idea of using the techniques of communism to create the serfdom i.e. false consciousness and guilt by association.

Human Rights exist purely to keep the Lib/Left in power – nobody can argue against them.

The frequently heard phrase ‘Our Values’ is nothing of the sort, loads of people don’t agree with many aspects of Human Rights because, with the exception of being homosexual, not a single Human Right is other than a decision or policy adopted by society; the trick was to make them sound natural.

The protesters probably do think that they are lefty Marxists but in reality they are mentally indentured to the Baronial Class.

The parallels and contrasts between Japan and Italy at the time always interest me. In both, the head of state was supposed to be royalty.

In Italy, of course, the Savoia turned traitor in 1943, not the fond memory of my fascist friends, and I agree with them. Italy betrayed Japan.

Germany helped Japan up to the end.

In Japan, the Emperor was responsible for much, and Princes for more, but there was an understructure of fascistic organisations, and most ‘Japanese-Americans’ in Hawaii and California supported the Imperial Rule Assistance Association.

That the internments were indiscriminate is true. That it was an illogical violation is a lie.
