Everyone is tired of this issue. Lockdowns made sense in March since little was known about COVID-19. Anyone who tested positive with COVID was hospitalized in quarantine, so hospitals quickly filled, mostly with healthy people. After a few weeks they determined that it’s a dangerous virus, but only threatens those in poor health and there is no pandemic. Lockdowns were eased so long as local hospitals could handle cases. Since the Feds are paying all COVID related costs, there is a perverse incentive for private (for profit) hospitals to admit anyone “in an abundance of caution” if they have empty beds. Then they charge the Feds $1000 a day and don’t even treat the patient.

States have begun to lock things down again because “cases” are rising. Yes, they are offering more and more free testing so more cases show up! What’s the point of free testing of healthy people, other than to bill the Feds? One may get COVID an hour after the test! Lots of money is being made on unneeded testing. I tire of stupid comments that safety and lives must come first. We could shut down the nation’s roads and save 30,000 lives a year! Is that wise?

Hospitalizations are down! That’s all that matters. Everyone will eventually get COVID, 30% have no symptoms, 65% think they have a bad flu and don’t even seek medical care. Of the 5% who seek care, most are checked out and sent home and told to self-quarantine until the test results arrive the next day. If positive, they are told to remain home for two weeks and told go to the ER if things get worse. The competent hospitals give the sickly a $20 pulse oximeter, that thing nurses put on your finger during check ups. COVID affect the ability of lungs to provide oxygen to the blood, and an oximeter easily and instantly tells one if they have a serious problem.

Fear of the enemy brings forth paralysis. Avoidance of savagery sustains serenity.

They have robbed the whole world of any joy. A dark veil has been pulled down. I will never forgive them for this. Wherever I can harm them I will.

I don’t know. Death rate could be low because of the lockdowns. It’s entirely possible that it would’ve been much higher had we carried on with life as normal. Personally I think some good might actually come out of this, including:
1) More companies will opt for remote work, decongesting the coastal cities, allowing young families to move back inland to be closer to extended family.
2) More companies will keep their workforce overseas to work remotely instead of moving them all to the US, lowering immigration.
3) Less international travels means less globalization, less multiculturalism, less air pollution, less need for hospitality workers, many of whom are illegal immigrant labor. Airplanes are the biggest emitters of greenhouse gases.
4) People discover the only thing we really need are food and shelter, leading to a big drop in demand for expensive clothes, shoes, luxury goods, travels, lowering our high consumption lifestyles and our trade deficit.
5) More nightclubs, restaurants, bars, casinos and brothels will close. Restaurants hire lots of illegal immigrants and tattooed left wing radicals. Nightclubs and bars draw the tattooed drunken drugged out crowd, gambling and prostitution are sins. Our society is better off without all these places. We had become a gluttonous, sinful society.
6) More families will learn to love homeschooling, leading to less K-12 indoctrination.
7) More colleges will lose money due to extended closure and loss of international students, forcing them to end a lot of wasteful programs like the Diversity Industrial Complex and varsity athletics.

The air is much cleaner everywhere. This might just be the reset the world needed to return to a much more honest, simple, much less wasteful and sinful lifestyle.

Norway acted timely. Its Covid-19 peak of new cases was about 270 per day (7 day average) and the total deaths were some 250. The country has reopened and it now has under 10 new cases per day. The lockdown did not only prevent an out of control epidemic situation, it also stopped accidents from happening. Less stress led to fewer other incidents like heart attacks. In total the number of deaths declined!

Focus on the opportunity and not the crisis.

1. Virtually all debt in the world has been obtained by fraud in law, and by fraud in fact, and is not worth the proverbial paper that it is printed on. The necessary facts have been admitted to by all material parties, and the governments’ solution to it was to make a policy decision not to prosecute the private banks and the rest of the private financial system in criminal jurisdiction. But that itself is incurably illegal – it is unconstitutional everywhere and it is contrary to both law and equity.

And it is all interconnected and illegal globally by international treaties on organized-crime and money-laundering, and the world’s governments are in flagrant and egregious breach of those treaties. So just recognise the flagrant criminality of it and cancel the damn debt.

2. Then declare, subject to a comprehensive equity-audit for anything above a base amount like say $1 million, all broadly-defined deposit liabilities of financial institutions to be deemed cash deposits at their respective national / central bank.

3. Concurrently outlaw forever – and mean it – the financial technique known as financial leverage, which is just another term for normalized fraud.

Henceforth all loans and advances of credit must be 100%-backed by equity. Henceforth in order to loan $1 million, you first have to have $1 million, and you cannot effectively loan the same money to more than one borrower. No more kiting of liabilities.

Everyone wakes up the next day to a world where all the debt is gone, no one loses a penny who has genuinely earned it, and the scourge-of-humanity is wiped from the Earth. No more free-ride for the entrenched-money-power.

Then we can devote the necessary resources to perform a comprehensive audit to determine who has been doing what, under a genuine Nuremberg II trial for crimes-against-humanity.

If we were to take a genuine and informed vote on it, then the result would be something like 7.5 billion in favour, and maybe 100,000 opposed. That’s 7,500,000,000 versus 100,000, or 75,000 to 1.

The entrenched-money-power had the most massive and unearned free-ride and something-for-nothing in the history of the world going for them – and they bleeped it up royally. They are in checkmate and now they want to convince us all that the only way out is to forget about all that and start a new game.

During BLM demonstration the virus was not mentioned on CNN. Not even one time. Once the demonstrations ended CNN went virus 100% all the time.
It was somehow strange to me. Is this responsible reporting?

Interestingly, the mask mandate comes a full three months after the state reached its peak in fatalities which means that it has less to do with controlling the infection than it does with using the virus to usurp tyrannical powers.

Sure, the government has to be seen to do something, but usurpation does not come into it. Ultimate limitless power is always in the hands of government, which can do anything it likes including drafting you into the army and sending you off to die. Instead of using 19 year olds in war, government could sacrifice its 70 year olds during a pandemic as long stranding emergency plans for infectious epidemics were to do. But when it came down to facing the reality of COVID-19, every single government in the West lacked the courage to stick to the existing plan for just this eventuality.

Conspiracy for a power grab? Well China went through the same process of mandating draconian anti infection measures. With eighteen years of economic success to consolidate his regime and official authority in a homogenous country without a meaningful civil society opposition, Xi and his minions hardly needed to obtain more tyrannical powers than they already possessed. Xi was effectively absolute ruler of China with no end to his reign in sight before COVID-19 appeared.

Those are some interesting thoughts. My own perspective on the overreaction to Covid is a bit different; I see it as less of a sinister plan on the part of a handful of deranged elites, and more of a straightforward case of the wealthier classes of society doing what they usually do and just not thinking about how their preferred policies will affect the middle class and the poor.

Just think about this: the two professions which are doing the most to gin up public opinion in favor of more lockdowns are journalists and doctors. If you’re a journalist, you can probably work from home; doctors are for the most part “essential workers” and those that aren’t are still wealthy enough that a few months of lockdown means watching a lot of Netflix and eating a lot of takeout, without any serious jeopardy of one’s economic well-being.

The problem is that the plebs don’t have the luxury of seeing things the way that the comfortable classes do – if the economy shuts down, a lot of them are out of a job, can’t afford rent, and so on through the list of negative consequences that you already named. But these things just go right over the heads of the wealthier people who are driving public opinion.

It was always about power, pure, unalloyed political power.

But, it’s just as true that that power will fail, sooner than later.

The effort of the hostile elite to create a new world oder free of control and sustained by force only increases the uncontrolled exercise of naked power.

And it’s exactly this that destablizes the very social institutions that power controls.

What’s most astonishing about the Covid-19 operation is the manner in which the elected government was circumvented by public health experts (connected to a power-mad billionaire activist.) That was a stroke of genius. Most people regard the US as a fairly stable democracy and yet, the first sign of infection triggered the rapid transfer of power from the president to unelected “professionals” whose conflicts of interest are too vast to list.

I had to comment on this very early paragraph, before I continued reading. Well Hell, these ” Bolsheviks Owners” couldn’t just come in and kill millions, like they did in Russia. I rather see the opposite: If the reaction is that excessive compared to the threat, and if the consequences are that extreme, then the whole thing most definitely has been made up. But anyway, the world has moved beyond the question if corona is for real. The consequences are for real, the people dying from despair are for real, the economic desaster is for real.

I think it was more than ‘opportunistic’ given the fore-shadowing they offer and their never ending nefarious exhibitions of serious deficiencies in frontal cortex development. I’m in full agreement with this article. But two very important points are missing:

1. This “crisis” and the unimaginable reaction to it is being played out right across the “western” world and beyond, not just in North America.

2. As this insanity unfolds “israel” moves rapidly closer toward the building of the third temple in Al Quds (jerusalem). Still, it is possible that tge globalists have overreached. For me and even my non-political friends; this is a Sorors type “color revolution”. Yet historically these regime change operations have not worked well because they are not rooted in the genuine desires of the citizens they target. BLM and antifa type radicalism may have unintended consequences the oligarchs did not expect; and the reaction to this radicalism on the Right is even less predictsble.
These oligarchs are greedy. If they could have just waited it out, they would have succeeded. But their lust for power makes them stupid. We know we have to break up Google, Berkshire Hathaway etc and limit the amount of money any one person can own. Even Theodore Roosevely supported antitrust laws at a certain point. But for the first time in my life, I honestly see that as possible. We live in interesting times.

I agree with your sentiments, but that is not how epidemics operate. We reach herd immunity when about 20% of the population has been infected. After that, those falling ill drops very rapidly. That is why they only mention “cases”

The most sociable/active people are infected first and that isolates the virus from the more delicate/less sociable people. We would have been better off with no isolation – except for the fragile. The policies implemented have been specifically designed to cower the population and increase the number of sick.

It is a game of psychopaths with ulterior motives.

Two points:

1. Everything that has happened has ultimately depended upon the pure, craven cowardice of the mass of men. Despite the fact that a) nobody knows anybody much who has been sick b) any cost/benefit analysis of the lockdowns shows that they are insane c) masks not only don’t work, they are actively unhealthy d) social distancing, aka segregation, is as pointless as it is impossible to achieve……

It is not at all clear, that anybody has died simply because of COVID-19. The death toll has been brought about by the inept and possibly criminal actions of states in imposing their unscientific but politically correct lockdowns. Also to blame are the criminal actions of hospitals and health authorities in refusing non-COVID patients treatment and also mistreating those who were admitted as coronavirus patients. If this is Phase I, Phase II will be hard-core Totalitarianism. Just as Americans could not have imagined it would be considered perfectly normal to have one’s personal belongings rummaged through at will and one’s kids rear ends (and more) felt up for weapons, as a matter of course, when traveling on the airlines, one would never have heard of a LOCKDOWN outside a maximum security prison until a couple of years ago. In Phase II, that’ll will mean that LOCKDOWNs and the like will be implemented at will, and people will just accept it. “Oh, honey, I forgot to tell you, we’re going into LOCKDOWN again on Thursday. But, this one’s just through the weekend, so we can still visit your relatives next month.”

The SCOTUS has passed down egregious decisions that abridge the First Amendment and show contempt for the concept of a representative democracy. Buckley v. Valeo, 424 U.S. 1976 and exacerbated by continuing stupid SCOTUS decisions First National Bank of Boston v. Bellotti, Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission and McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission.
These decisions have codified that money is free speech thereby giving entities of wealth and power almost total influence in elections.

The question I would ask is why there are no rebellions against this. Yes, fear, will halt the great majority, but you have made a case for militant action against the people most visible in ordering this lockdown.

The general public always ends up eating what revolutionaries put before them. Rebellion always starts with a minority who will not take it anymore. Where is that minority here? The first question is who will stand up and say no? The next question is how will they lever themselves to wield real power? Do you have any ideas?

I have read thousands of comments explaining how the virus was a naturally occurring event and thousands explaining how it was a humanly contrived event since the beginning of January.

This created much confusion for me because both sides had very convincing fact based arguments and and a lot of credible people were involved in the discussions.

But of course both can’t be right so I awaited for my ‘eureka’ moment where I could at least in my own mind get some traction on the truth of the matter.

This came with the Count Floyd incident when with military precision 24/7 coverage of the Kung Flu came to a halt and shifted exclusively to the BLM crisis for which there was nary a peep prior to February. Every article in every paper now had a 24/7 race based article (even the travel sections!).

Then came the non-violent riots where thousands of degenerates (and honest fools) rampaged without masks on and not one MSM ‘journalist’ would point out that this was undoing the pandemic preamble of the previous three months about contagion.

Just when your head was starting to hurt, the riots played out and the MSM resumed the flu narrative with an extreme vengeance as if to make up for lost ground leading now to universal face diaper usage and scary stories about ‘spikes’ but NOWHERE mentioning the possibility that their ‘pets’ may have been responsible. That was enough for me.

Then I recalled that Trump dumped $6-8 trillion into the market relatively early in this macabre game and hundreds of other major corporate decisions were made that wouldn’t have had success unless the herd was in full stampede.

I always refer to FDR’s statement roughly remembered as “nothing ever happens in politics by accident, if it happens you can bet it was planned that way.” Look how ‘efficient’ every useless blow-dried politician has suddenly become riding the flu donkey.

So no, I don’t buy into the “they took advantage of this crisis” narrative. As I told friends of mine in discussions years back ‘once they realized that got away with 911 the next will have to be a real doozy’. They never de-escalate. Waco, Oklahoma etc. I sincerely hope to be wrong on this.

It’s interesting when you take a look at the latest numbers from the CDC website on their “Cases in US” page. If you scroll down, you will see a bar graph showing Daily Cases, however no accompanying graph showing Daily Deaths. As other commenters have pointed out, the media is only talking about cases.

As of this morning (7/16/20), they are reporting 3,416,428 nationwide cases with 135,991 deaths. Doing the math, the fatality rate comes out to 3.98% of all reported cases.

Here’s what the numbers look like in my home state of PA:

97,665 cases; 6,957 deaths; 7.12% fatality rate

Here’s the numbers from my neighboring states:

NJ: 175,915 cases; 15,582 deaths (8.86%)
NY (including NYC): 405,017 cases; 32,109 deaths (7.93%)
DE: 13,050 cases; 521 deaths (3.99%)
MD: 75,016 cases; 3,341 deaths (4.45%)
OH: 67,995 cases; 3,069 deaths (4.51%)

I have family & friends in the Midwest in and around the Chicago area. Here’s the numbers from 3 states there:

IL: 156,638 cases; 7,419 deaths (4.74%)
IN: 52,685 cases; 2,775 deaths (5.27%)
WI: 41,349 cases; 833 deaths (2.01%)

The media is in hysterics over FL, TX, and CA. Here are their numbers per the CDC website:

FL: 287,789 cases; 4,409 deaths (1.53%)
TX: 275,058 cases; 3,322 deaths (1.21%)
CA: 336,508 cases; 7,087 deaths (2.11%)

I find the percentage variations interesting. If this is as bad as they are saying, then FL, TX, and CA should have an increase in the fatality rate over the next few weeks.

I never really knew the Spanish Flu was so devastating until recently. TENS OF MILLIONS died from this Mother Of All Flus. I agree in part. At my local parish Catholic Church the Pastor heard confessions every Saturday. In addition the church was open in the morning for private prayer and Eucharistic Adoration was held during the hearing of confessions.

The concept of family went out of fashion a long time ago in the West. That is why I am in eastern Europe. Communism had a good bash at the family but it only partly succeeded.

People who send their elderly and infirm to “nursing homes” are really deliberately kicking them out of their lives. They rarely visit the elderly.

I have a wealthy lady cousin in West Vancouver. She has a team of Filipino nurses and cooks looking after her elderly father in their big house. She was also looking after his older brother for years – he passed away 2 years ago at 96. But I am not saying that everyone can do the same.
