Islam rejects the notion of original sin, but the main difference between Islam and Christianity has to do with the fact that Christianity (for all claims to the contrary) posits salvation in Israel while Islam does so in Ishmael. The irony is that Christianity *does* bear significant potential as a means of bringing about a more civil, moral society.

It’s all about the path to salvation. My take is that Islam is more universal a religion, allowing for the practice of other religions. The history of Muslim rule has had some considerable problems, but for its time, its political rule was more advanced than the west’s. It was only when the west adopted this aspect of Islam and shrugged off church rule that it proceeded into the Enlightenment and Industrial Revolution apace.

In my understanding of history the Jewish religion is much older than Christianity. How can one claim that the roots of of the Jewish religion are to be found in events that occurred long after Judaism was created? It seems more reasonable to claim that Christianity has its roots in the “decisive rejection” of Judaism.

There’s a lot of historical and theological stuff here to argue with, point by point. Rather than getting lost in the weeds I think it’s best to reverse engineer EMJ’s m.o. and start with and focus on the group in rebellion against Logos, in rebellion against God. The group behind everything pleasing to Satan (abortion, homosexuality, war, usury, pornography, communism, et al.) and displeasing to God. And then see what religion, what specific institution, this group has directed its animus at as a sort of inverse imprimatur.

Professor Philip Jenkins discussed Church abuse myth in his book The New Anti-Catholicism[Chapter 7: “The Perp Walk of Sacramental Perverts”] (Oxford University Press, 2003) but only goes into the [ostensibly orchestrated] press and media manipulation of the subject and doesn’t touch upon the keys players. IIRC, Jenkins said this narrative in the media started in the late 1980’s. But Jenkins avoids “naming the Jew”.

For example, while Jenkins discusses the Boston Globe Spotlight piece on the Boston Archdiocese abuse scandal (which later became a Hollywood movie) he doesn’t name names when it comes to who was orchestrating it. He doesn’t even mention Marty Baron who started and headed the Archdiocese abuse piece. In 2001 Baron— the son of Israeli immigrants— chose as his first project after moving to the Boston Globe (from the Miami Herald) the targeting of the seat of American Catholicism, the Boston Archdiocese. The research went back 60 years involving 50k priests who had served in the Boston Archdiocese during that time and Baron and his team found 10 former priests who had been abusers. While almost all of them had been defrocked, in prison, or left the priesthood to pursue a gay lifestyle (Paul Shanley), it didn’t seem to matter. The narrative was highly successful, the lawsuits started, churches and properties were sold and liquidated, parishes emptied, and two decades later the American Catholic Church is a shell of its former self.

I guess the prayers to Satan as well as all the magical charms, potions, spells, incantations, hexes, curses, and sacred talismans— which Unz’s piece references— were, sadly, pretty effective!

How do we reconcile the doctrine of a perfect God and hence perfect creation with the manifest unpleasantness, perhaps even the “actual as opposed to apparent evil,” that we see and experience around us? Well, the mystics tell us that if we learn to see Reality, all that apparent evil turns out to be illusory. But setting that aside, since few are vouchsafed the mystical vision, let’s remember that a genuinely omnipotent God has the power to limit His own power by setting creation free.

This is excuse making to get an omnipotent being off the hook for the existence of evil. God created the universe. Everything in it was created by God. Evil exists in this universe created by God, therefore God created evil. Even if God did not create evil he allows it to exist because, being omnipotent, he has the power to destroy it. But he chooses not to do so. God allows evil to exist, because he wants it to. God is therefore condoning evil. God is therefore evil himself.

If you are omnipotent, you are also omni-responsible.

[Jesus’] willingness to use violence against usurious banksters

There’s no evidence that the chief sandnigger, Mo, made such a speech. It’s a much later invention attributed to the Illiterate One, when the first, widespread Arab empire encompassed a number of areas. Al Tabari recorded the first known version (and there are several versions, funny that) of this supposed speech, which dates to 230 years after the Illiterate One’s death. It’s a clear appeal to ecumenism, but this was not unheard of in ancient times – the ancient Persian empire first adopted a policy of widespread religious and ethnic tolerance. Interestingly Al Tabari was of Persian origin. Latching onto false attributions is a great weakness in understanding history – you might want to refrain from this silliness in the future. It appears that the concept of “eating of forbidden fruit”, in your view, would mean that true critical thought and investigation would be “Original Sin”. Virtually all inventions are developed from “eating the forbidden fruit”. That would certainly exclude Protestants in general and in most cases Roman Catholics. Many “radicalized” Protestants are, I would argue, not only not Protestants, but not really Christians. As critics have pointed out, these people were influenced by the “Scofield Bible” which is said to be a “Jewish plot” to subjugate these people to Judaism’s “chosen” mantra.
If your reference of “Original Sin” is restricted to sexual matters, that would only be the case post rise of the Puritans, and not even there, except among the well to do. Thin walls along with large families living in one room would put that to the test.

The answer to that is the Talmud, much of which was written after Christ and addresses him in the most vile manner. The Talmud (and not the Torah) has become the heart of modern Judaism.

I think there’s some misunderstanding here.

Ishmael’s is the bloodline from which Muhammad descended. That’s accepted even by Jews and Christians. However much one may wish to say the record of scripture now known as The Bible had been corrupted (before Grandmaster Cyrus returned Jews to Jerusalem), many Muslims believe there is enough in it that can conceivably (and quite easily) indicate the one known as “Shiloh” (Gen 49: 10) is, in fact, Muhammad, and not Jesus. (There are more biblical indications noted by Muslims, this is but one.)

To say “Islam posits salvation in Ishmael” is, as such, merely to distinguish Islam’s claim of prophetic inheritance from those of Judaism and Christianity. It isn’t suggestive of a racial litmus test, not when the standards of Islam are as you describe them.

Reminds me of a dear Greek Lady of the Orthodox faith with whom I attended a Greek Orthodox Church Service many years ago. After the service and back at the Restaurant she asks me what I thought. After some discussion we ended up talking about water baptism and when she heard that in the church i was attending we do not baptize children before a certain age she went ballistic on me and said our children were all going to hell? How so i asked. God isn’t stupid to send babies to hell for goodness sakes. What do babies or even children know before a certain age? Further water baptism is nothing more than an outward sign of an inward work of cleansing! If all you have is water baptism and nothing else you have nothing yes? That she understood and agreed with me but still had a hard time that our children weren’t water baptized. To that I also replied what do they know for heavens sakes? There’s no conviction of sin in their lives having done nothing either right or wrong or even know what right and wrong is even? Our children must make the decision for themselves at the age of accountability and after having gone through Sunday School and being taught the lessons of life and the meaning of law and grace and the why of it all. For them then to follow through with the baptism on their own has a great deal more meaning for the!!! this is all just so unbelievable really. Furthermore, what gives here because surely when John the Baptist was baptizing people it is highly doubtful he was baptizing children and babies!!!! Water Baptism is nothing more than an outside sign of an inward work. Today though it’s come to represent an initiation into either this or that institution.

God the Father and Creator of us all is going to send babies and children to hell because they didn’t get baptized. Give your heads a shake. In Israel and in much of the Western world, we tend to think the Arab world is united in its support for the Palestinians—that it wants nothing more than to solve the Palestinian problem by giving them a state, and that all Arabs and Muslims love the Palestinians and hate Israel. Their hatred of Israel stems from its success at surviving despite wars, terror, boycotts, and constant enmity. It stems from the fact that a Jewish state exists even though Judaism, in the Muslim view, was superseded by Islam, the “true religion.” This hatred is exacerbated by other stark disparities: Israel is a democracy while many Arabs and Muslims live under dictatorships; Israel is rich while many Arabs and Muslims are poor; Israel is a paradise compared to some Arab countries, many of which resemble nothing so much as the last train stop before hell (see Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Sudan; the list goes on). In short, they despise Israel because it has succeeded in areas where they have failed.

But why should they hate the Palestinian Arabs? After all, the Arab narrative says the Palestinian Arabs’ land was stolen and they were forced to become refugees. Surely they are deserving of unreserved support?

The answer to this question is complex. It is a function of Middle Eastern culture that neither Israelis nor most Westerners fully understand or recognize.

The rate of incidence for sex crimes is about 1 %.

Some people are simply wired for pathos (women especially) and the middle eastern religions seem to reflect this. These religions are not trying to find the Logos, or the natural order of the universe – instead they have all the pathos like answers.

I’m not usually one to accept when foreign governments blame outside influences for their failures, but let’s face it– most if not all of those countries you mentioned have been attacked by the US or its proxies on behalf of Israel. A disinclination for reflection and lousy spelling are two of his other traits.

Noteworthy, too, is that many of his remarks about the Jews exhibit extreme vulgarity. It is well to recall that this tactic has, for decades, been used by Jewish plants and agents of deception to win sympathy for the Jews.

In terms of content, however, the one absolute constant in Nico X’s hundred or so comments is—surprise!—his detestation of Christianity. Since, as may be deduced, he has no job or other paid occupation to interfere with his twenty-four-hour-a-day vigil for new columns to “grace” with his attention, it would not be amiss to bet that he is an Israeli troll. Given the amount of positive response he gets from the homegrown Christ haters, his Mossad bosses should be pleased enough to offer him a raise.

The Christian Bible is syncretic – an amalgamation of contradiction because the original Christian scriptures (Paul’s Letters + Gospel of Luke) were adulterated to turn Christ the Galilean into Jesus the Jew. Christianity was co-opted by Judaists in its own scriptures around 300 at Council of Nicia.

Also, the Apostle Paul replaced Judaistic Law and the concept of Sin, with his notion of Foolishness. Catholic Thinker Desiderius Erasmus took Paul’s concept of Foolishness and built an entire Christian theology around it in his book In Praise of Folly. Sin and Wisdom are Judaic concepts; Foolishness and Foolery are a Christian concept.

Historically, they also conquered the cities of their enemies therein and, in the Muslim prayer, specific mention of the “family of Abraham” is made repeatedly. Even if Jews were to take all of Palestine, they wouldn’t come close to fulfilling this prophecy.
