Pretty much every morning, weather permitting, Paul and Lidia Marino, an elderly Italian-American couple from Elkton, Maryland, would drive the five miles to Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, just across the border in, of course, Delaware. They would visit the grave of their son Anthony, who died three years ago at age 54.
Anthony was not himself a veteran. His Dad Paul was, though, and the cemetery rules allow disabled adult children of veterans to take a plot. Anthony had been born with cerebral palsy and suffered wretched health all his life. Paul and Lidia, both in their mid-eighties, married more than sixty years, had cared for Anthony until he died in 2017. They were helped by their older twin sons, Paul Junior and Ray.
Paul Senior worked in the printing industry for decades before retiring in 1994. Lidia was what we used to call a home-maker: cooking, shopping, minding the kids, keeping the house clean. She and Paul were both hobbyists: Lidia, like my own Mum, loved needlework, Paul painted and played guitar.
It’s a touching little bit of Americana: a close, busy, loving family, like a dozen you and I know, minding their business and facing life’s misfortunes with courage, humanity, and grit.
So there was this couple, he 86 and she 85, crossing the cemetery on their way to Anthony’s grave on the morning of May 8th as they had done hundreds of times before.
Twenty-nine-year-old Sheldon Francis, a black man dressed entirely in black, with a black face mask, came up behind them and shot them both with a handgun.[ For couple slain in veterans cemetery, visiting son’s grave was a daily ritual, Carl Hamilton, Newark(Maryland) Post, May 14, 2020] Lidia was shot first, and died at the scene. Paul was shot in the head, presumably after just seeing his wife shot; he died later in hospital.
The killer, Sheldon Francis, ran off into some nearby woods. He had a good-quality rifle with him and plenty of ammo, which suggests some planning beforehand. There was a standoff with police and a firefight. When Francis had been silent for a while, cops went into the woods and found him dead of a gunshot wound. Whether the wound was self-inflicted or the result of police shooting, we don’t know.
A horrible end to two lives well lived, and a third that would have been better not lived at all. Plainly a homicide, though, so we’re naturally curious to know the motive.
Let’s see: Italian Americans— is there a mob connection? Given what we know about the couple’s life, and about the killer, it seems highly improbable. Was Sheldon Francis a disgruntled employee or contractor? Again, that’s a bit of a stretch, given what we know.
We don’t know much, though. About Sheldon Francis, we know almost nothing. I have been doggedly googling all week and still can’t find out anything about him. He must have some kind of rap sheet; the news pictures of him (right) are obvious law-enforcement mugshots. What does the rap sheet say? Was he married or single? How did he make a living?
Google … Google … Google … nothing. I just tried again, putting a filter on the Google search for “past week.” There’s a flurry of “Gunman Identified” items from four or five days ago, no new details. I changed the filter to “past 24 hours”: twelve hits on Sheldon Francis, but still no new information. We’re no wiser about possible motives.(The New York Times has nothing on either Francis or the Marinos, but a search for “Veterans’ Cemetery” brought up two AP stories [May 8, May 9] about the shooting, in which both victims and shooter were nameless and raceless. )
Hm. Let’s try a different shooter: Travis McMichael, the white guy who shot a black guy in Brunswick, Georgia, news of which came out just the day before the Marinos were killed. Filter to “past week”: hoo boy, “about 210,000 results” says Google. Let’s change the filter to “past 24 hours.” “About 32,000,” says Google.
That Travis McMichael is some media star: nearly three thousand times bigger than Sheldon Francis.
As of 7 PM, May 16, eight days later, there has still been no mention of the murders of Paul and Lidia Marino in the national Main Stream Media, led of course by the New York Times.

The observation of Derb’s article is a corollary of the #PCGagOrder. We must not develop “prejudice” against Blacks that shoot sweet aging couples in a Veteran cemitery. So it is best not to cover up the event. Lying by omission is virtuous. Note also that one of the style books (AP? NYT) demands explicity to remove infor about race of perp once he gets caught.
In reality, this applies only to ‘minority” perps as our site explains in detail.
Maybe the Brahmins at the NTY think reading about stuff like the Marino murders raises the cortisol and lowers the immunity of white folk, and so they are better off not knowing about it during the epidemic.
Oh, come, now. It’s time for conservatives to move beyond asking snarky, rhetorical questions on the internet. We know why the Jewish-controlled New York Times didn’t report on the cold-blooded “hate crime” — because it is a not a “news” paper, it is a propaganda organ committed to racial communism and the destruction of the white race in America.
(And our own government is complicit in this. Careful observers will notice that the FBI and the DOJ didn’t bother to investigate the killing of the Marinos as an anti-white racial “hate crime.” But they sure as hell were all over that Georgia case involviong the “jogger,” ready to violate the Fifth Amendment by filing double jeopardy charges if the state jury acquits, weren’t they???)
The question is, what is to be done to get our country back?
We can lay this one on the Obama’s doorstep.
Both Barack and whatshername are on record as having said that black men are at risk of being shot by white people in just walking down the street. They have poisoned the minds of an entire generation or two of young black men. Now these vulnerable-because-of-simple-mindedness men believe that preemptive murder of any white person is completely justified. The Obamas should be tried and hung in a public square as an example to other rabble rousers and hate mongers.
The question isn’t why the national news hasn’t gotten this story in 8 days. As usual, White people looking to make a point that isn’t there miss the ACTUAL points which I will outline here.
1. In the case of Ahmaud Arbery, the suspects who admitted to killing him, were simply taken for their word. There was an unarmed Black man, killed at the hands of two armed White men and no arrest nor investigation ensued for OVER TWO MONTHS. In the case of the Marinos, when a suspect was identified, he was pursued by police IMMEDIATELY.
2. In the case of Ahmaud Arbery, CNN, MSNBC, etc … DID NOT REPORT THE STORY FOR TWO MONTHS!!!! You are 8 days into the Marino story and already bitching that it’s not getting coverage. Yet it is getting coverage, even internationally.
3. In the case of Ahmaud Arbery, the suspects will live to see a day in court even though the suspects were armed and dangerous. In the case of the Marinos, the suspect was pursued and died either at his own hands or at the hands of the police, and like many cases where the suspect is Black, the suspect doesn’t make it to court.
4. The Ahmaud Arbery and the Marinos BOTH DIED SENSELESSLY. So if you sympathize with one and do not sympathize for the other, you’re a bigot.
5. If you think the suspect in one case deserved to die on the spot without due process, but don’t think the other suspects also deserved to die on the spot without due process, you are a bigot.
6. If you believe that the Marino’s deserve justice and recognition, but don’t believe the same for Ahmaud Arbery, you are a bigot, and vice versa.
Lastly, the reason that the Ahmaud Arbery case made national news IS NOT because two white men killed a black man. It is because two white men, one being tied to law enforcement, killed a black man and there was not even an ATTEMPT to bring these men to justice FOR OVER TWO MONTHS. It literally would have been swept under the rug and ignored completely with no justice had it not made national news.
Please ACTUALLY THINK before you draw your conclusions. I am sad and angry that the Marinos and Ahmaud were murdered. If the killer of the Marinos was killed, I have no issue with that. However, if the killers of Ahmaud Arbery get away with it, I will have great issue with that.
You’re wrong. There was an investigation in the Avery, or Aubrey, case, and it was concluded that the shooting was self-defense. There was film of the convicted criminal illegally entering a house, then attacking the man holding the shotgun. You, because you’re anti-White, believe the White men should just have let the thief roam freely through their neighborhood and/or just handed over their shotgun when the criminal attacked them. You don’t care about the bloodthirsty murder of an elderly couple visiting their dead child’s grave-site because it doesn’t fit your narrative. Kind of like 95% of the robberies, murders and rape cases that are perpetrated by your people.
If Avery, or Aubrey, was White, would care at all about the case? I don’t think so, you’d say, “Stupid White boy shouldn’t be breaking into houses.”
If the Times did do a story on this, the headline would be:
“Different Worlds Collide in Delaware Cemetery”
Then the story itself would insinuate that the Marinos lived a life of privilege, while Sheldon (don’t call me) Francis had suffered all the bad breaks. I’d read the story just for the comedy, but some people might actually take it seriously.
Why doesn’t ANY story of Whites being killed by Blacks get the same coverage as Whites killing blacks? The ONLY places you’ll find it is here and England’s The Daily Mail. Sad.
As Joseph Sobran used to point out, within the leftist culture and its organs like the NYT, there is no double standard; there is a single standard. The single standard is anti-white, anti-normal, etc. Headlines are made only when there is an event that is unusual or at variance to the expectations and ideals of the news organization. The killing of the Marinos involved nothing that the dominant culture viewed as particularly objectionable or at variance with its ideals, so, no need for much or any reporting.

No court judgement I am aware of says or implies that if someone is unarmed then they have a licence to assault an armed person without risk of being lawfully shot dead. There was a video showing what appears to be self defence. You can indict a ham sandwich, but convictions are not at a public official’s discretion. We shall see whether they walk from court without a criminal record.
The Marino story was an undisputed unprovoked double murder stalking and shooting from behind of a harmless couple of old folk visiting their son’s grave . If it had not been black on white or not even interracial at all it would have been treated as news by the NYT. I do not know if it was a racial motive but the silence about the killer makes one suspicious. The McMichaels’ statements about and interactions with blacks are being gone over with a fine tooth comb. Why the silence on the MURDERER of the Marinos.
Arbery knew he could ignore demands to stop by someone pointing a gun at him and be in no danger of being shot for that. He did it with a cop years ago. He knew he would be shot if he charged at and tackled a man brandishing a shotgun at him. And when he was shot right through his upper chest and out the back of his scapula, he did not stop but used his good arm to throw a punch. Then he was shot again in the lower chest. Blacks dislike committing suicide, but both of those you discuss chose to do something that could only end with their death.
The only circumstance in which he would be killed is if he ran at a man holding a shotgun, which was what he did. What he did not do try to do is brush past, swerve around or take off through backyards.
One committed something akin to felony suicide, the other committed two murders. They both decided to die on the spot without due process,

Travis McMichael and his father were attempting to make a citizens arrest (legal under Georgia law) of a suspicious black man who they believed was burgling a nearby residence when the black man violently attacked Travis and tried to take his shotgun away. This forced Travis to fight to maintain control of the shotgun and eventually use it against Arbery or risk Arbery using his own gun on him.
And notice how Drudge, the former “good jew”, is acting just like most of the rest of Jewish punditocracy by playing along with the pre-packaged narrative that the McMichael’s were “hunting” Arbery. As has Ilan Mercer, a Jewess who’s also supposedly “on our side”.

There are good reasons to think these incidents are faked. Who filmed the Brunswick incident? Must have been the same crew on location for the moon landing. Why? Operation Chaos, a CIA operation to create rifts in society. Black vs. White, Men versus Women. Whatever happened to the serial killers? It seems like we now only get “one & done” psychos. Or the CIA scriptwriters got bored with the genre, kind of like why they don’t make musicals anymore. Sheldon Francis had exchanged fire with the police in a real gun-fight. He didn’t kill any cops. If he had, there might be a little more on him in the news. If a white guy had a gun fight with the police, we’d have several news items about the NRA, white gun culture, militias, angry white men, Trump, the alt-right……..the whole shebang. The MSM hates ordinary white people. Thats why some conservative billionaires need to start a national newspaper, a la USA TODAY, but with real accurate information, to put lefty papers out of business nationally. I lost respect for the Wall Street Journal, Colin, just about 20 years ago, when I realized that paper was all about pushing for open borders. I’d been buying it daily in order to supposedly get smarter on business issues. That didn’t take, but it went up a quarter, or maybe 50 cents in one shot, which was the excuse I needed to quit cold turkey.
One more really minor thing that used to irk me about that newspaper is its writers’ habit of writing numerical changes backwards, as Peak Stupidity noted in “Taking the Wall Street Journal – ass backwards”. “The number of WSJ readers has gone down today, TO 1,499,000 FROM 1,500,000…” would have been a good example from the day I quit getting that rag. That was their way, and I think a lot of other Lyin’ Press rags/sites picked up that idiotic style.

Long ago, in the ’80s 0f the previous century, I came upon a catastrophic scene on the road. A young man stood outside his car crying for he had just plowed into a policeman on a motorcycle who had been leading a funeral procession. I apparently was first on the scene, a gang of workers were running towards it to see what happened. The curve, which was the obvious catalyst for this catastrophe along with the driver’s recklessness, kept from view the accident until immediately coming right on top of it.
I soon left knowing a multitude of ppl were there to handle the damage. The motorcyclist looked like he was dead. The area was in the heart of one of Atlanta’s richest neighborhoods. I can only assume that the driver was born to some sort of privilege for when I watched the news that night and read my morning paper the next day, nary a word was printed about this event. I called the police station and asked as to if the policeman had died. They would neither confirm or deny anything.
News is only news if TPTB want to make it so

I m not sure you understand what is meant by substantiate. There are discourses that use human conditions as a means of attempting to address the issue. But whether there is some unique plot by jews to excuse crime committed by blacks is another question. i rarely ask anyone to support their issues. But in this case, it is not obvious.

Get the stats correct as to orientation — the motives are not based om color and don’t support the suggestion you’d like. And I agree there is a bias in the media — a liberal bias, without question. But this story while tragic doesn’t carry the weight one might like for a national story. It is tragic. However, the victims are known. Te assailant s known. The story itself is over. The motive s unknown. . In a matter of a single day nearly everything to be told has been told, There’s no escaped assailant. There are no links to anything beyond a local tragedy that increase sales, such a motive with links to other crimes or future crimes or suspects.
It is for the moment a tragic event that ended in a single day. A mere couple of hours — little o know mystery.
But if you are looking for whether the paper in question reports crimes by blacks that are against whites or even involves whites — a loo at the history of the papers reporting will reveal they have well worn that path — I haven’t checked. But it is a very very safe bet.
