We are now out of Afghanistan. This is such a relief after twenty years of futility, Joe Biden has been getting thanks from some surprising people—Ann Coulter and Richard Spencer, for example.

I’m as glad as they are. But I think the appalling mess Biden’s people made of the evacuation cancels out any gratitude due to the president. When the Soviet Union, on its last geriatric legs, made a cleaner, cheaper show of withdrawing from Afghanistan in defeat than we have, heads should roll.

A basic atom bomb depends on a mass of nuclear material going into a spontaneous fission reaction. You put two or more subcritical masses into some device, keeping them apart from each other. Then, when you want an explosion, you bring them together to form a critical mass. Bang!

Similarly, the current mess is the result of two subcritical masses of insanity coming together:

Our foreign policy insanity—these dumb missionary wars we keep getting involved with—has been a constant for decades now. It’s possible we have finally learned our lesson; but I seriously doubt it. I look forward to milking that insanity for commentary as long as I can work a keyboard.

So let’s see what this week has shown us about our immigration insanity. The focus of concern: the floods of Afghans we have taken in.

The original idea, which seemed reasonable (at any rate to me) was that we should take in and settle Afghans who had trustingly put their lives on the line to help us advance our foreign policy, as insane as that policy was. That would be a fair and decent thing to do.

As it’s worked out, though, none but a small proportion of the tens of thousands of Afghans we’ve brought in belong to that category. Most are just random Afghans who got to Kabul airport and bribed or elbowed or threatened their way onto a plane. Far from owning Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) papers to show they have at least claimed to have helped us, many have no papers at all.

Meanwhile, Afghans who are SIV applicants but could not make it to Kabul, are being hunted down and killed by the Taliban. Moral of the story: Put no trust in the U.S.A.

Ann Corcoran has noted that most of the incoming Afghans are likely being admitted on parole, not as refugees. What does “on parole” mean? If you follow Ann’s link to the Homeland Security Today website, you get this:

Parole does not confer immigration status and does not provide a path to permanent residency or the ability to obtain lawful immigration status. However, a parolee may be able to obtain lawful status in the United States through other means.

Information for Afghan Nationals on Parole into the United States, Homeland Security Today, September 1, 2021

If you have been following immigration issues these past few years you will be rolling on the floor laughing at that. As Michelle Malkin says in regard to judgements and appeals in our immigration courts: “It ain’t over until the alien wins.”

With the two million or so illegals coming in across our southern border every year now and our immigration-control apparatus totally overwhelmed and demoralized, this will be more true than ever.

And our immigration insanity only starts there. It proceeds through the lunacies of Birthright Citizenship and unrestricted Chain Migration to a sort of generalized version of Michelle’s apothegm:

“It ain’t over until the alien, and all his offspring and relatives, and anyone who can buy fake papers in the local bazaar ‘proving’ he is a relative, win.”

Stateside, meanwhile, odds are we have just acquired a big new set of social problems we could very well have done without.

Afghanistan has a mean national IQ variously estimated as from 80 to 84. This is likely related to extraordinary levels of inbreeding.

Quote from a study published 2012 in the Journal of Biosocial Science:

In Afghanistan, the prevalence of cousin marriages is estimated to be 46.2 percent. The prevalent type of cousin marriage is first cousin marriage (27.8 percent), followed by double first cousin marriage (6.9 percent), second cousin (5.8 percent), and third cousin (3.9 percent). Such marriages became the main reason to get genetically disabled children.

[Consanguineous marriages in Afghanistan, by K. Saify & M. Saadat, Journal of Biosocial Science, January 2012].

“Double first cousin,” in case you’re wondering, means first cousin once removed, which is to say either the child of your first cousin, or the first cousin of your parent.

And they are all Muslims—devout adherents of a faith not best known for its readiness to assimilate to non-Muslim host cultures … to put it mildly.

As James Kirkpatrick has documented, these Afghans will be settled in small towns in Red States as much as possible.

Twitter is full of people asking why they can’t be settled in Malibu or Martha’s Vineyard. Stephen Miller and Tucker Carlson discussed it on Fox News:

Answers:

  1. Because our ruling class live in such places, and they don’t want any concentrations of unsightly poor people around them.
  2. Because those places already vote Democrat, so there is no need to plant settlements of future Democrat voters there.

Another common suggestion—I’ve suggested it myself—is that these Afghans who don’t want to live in Afghanistan should be relocated in neighboring ‘Stans, with which many of them have ethnic links. Any news on that?

Well, Tajikistan has an 835-mile border with Afghanistan’s northeast. Back in July they said they’d take in 100,000 Afghans—pretty generous, for a country of less than ten million. However, they now seem now to be backing out from that on the grounds they don’t have the infrastructure [Tajikistan Can’t Afford to Take in Afghan Refugees Without Help -Police Chief, Reuters, September 2, 2021].

What most likely happened is that Russia, which in Soviet times controlled Tajikistan as part of its Central Asian mini-empire, and which is still in military alliance with Tajikistan, is worried about security risks from Islamic militants. So Russia cracked the whip and Tajikistan jumped.

Related somehow, although I can’t figure out how, is this story on Wednesday from Reuters: headline:

The United States will help build new facilities for border guards in Tajikistan along the Central Asian country’s frontier with Afghanistan and Uzbekistan to better respond to security threats, the U.S embassy in Dushanbe [Tajikistan’s capital] said on Wednesday.

The new facility, which will be built in Tajikistan’s southwestern tip, will replace an outdated detachment and allow border guards to “deploy forces more quickly to border areas in response to threats,” the embassy said.

U.S. to help build border facilities on Tajik-Afghan border. September 1, 2021

Well, isn’t that special! We’re building border facilities up in the Pamir mountains of Central Asia, “to better respond to security threats.”

What a good thing there are no security threats on our borders!

Oh, and what about those American citizens we hear are stranded in Afghanistan? What were they doing there?

ORDER IT NOW

We haven’t been given much detail about them, but Tamar Lapin in the New York Post on August 19th did describe ten cases of people left behind. Of the ten, only three are identified as U.S. citizens. Their names: Faziya Nematy, Salma Kazemi, Tahir Luddin .[ These are just some of the thousands of Americans, allies trapped in Afghanistan].

So these are U.S. citizens of Afghan origins. That doesn’t subtract anything from their citizenship, and we should do all we can to get them out. We are not much of a country if we can’t take care of our own citizens.

This sentiment would be considerably reinforced, though, if we could hear about some stranded U.S. citizens who are not of Afghan origin or ancestry.

The other seven of the New York Post ten are noncitizens in the category of people we know helped us, or the families thereof. We should do what we can for them, too…but citizens first.

Footnote: Mark Twain said that man is the only animal that blushes…or needs to. I blush a little when this topic of taking in Afghans comes up. Why? Well, here I was in the June 25th podcast:

Are we honor bound to take in these tens of thousands, perhaps eventually hundreds of thousands, of Afghans? Podcasting here on an immigration-restrictionist website, it pains me to say it, but I think we are.

Look on it as the price of our own stupidity. It’s not the fault of Afghans that our leaders chose their country as a test site for our World Saver fantasies.

We could have flattened Afghanistan by Christmas 2001, then pulled out, leaving a note on the door saying: “Don’t mess with the U.S.” Instead we went for the nation-building flapdoodle, and squandered untold trillions of dollars and more than two thousand precious American lives to give the world a lesson in futility.

If we had the spirit of our ancestors we’d be hanging politicians from utility poles all up and down Pennsylvania Avenue.

What was I thinking? Well, I was thinking that we have to pay for our blunders. God knows, I’ve always paid for mine. You do the crime, you do the time; you broke it, you buy it; and that applies to nations as much as to individuals—or, in my opinion, it ought to.

There are some obvious rejoinders you can make, and listeners have not hesitated to make them.

  • Listener: “I never wanted the damn fool war. I never voted for it.”
Me: What, you never voted either Republican of Democrat this past twenty years? Both parties supported the war. This is a consensual republic under representative government. We are collectively responsible for unanimous policies like that.
  • Listener: “We already have paid, in blood and treasure.”
Me: Yeah, but life doesn’t work like that, and it shouldn’t. If you break a leg while robbing a bank, you’ll go to jail anyway, and you should.
  • Listener: “There’s no way all those people helped our war effort. Most are just opportunists.”
Me: Probably true. There should have been really careful vetting before we let anyone in. Because of the chaotic way we left, though, there was no way there could be careful vetting. So we either turn away people we shouldn’t, or we accept thousands of opportunists. I hate both of those, but I hate the second less.

And so on.

All right: but if I’m so doggedly defiant, why am I blushing a little? Well, not because of what I was thinking but because of what I wasn’t thinking.

I wasn’t thinking about the utter, colossal stupidity, incompetence, and in some cases treachery, of our Ruling Classes and the federal apparatus they supervise.

Executive summary: I wasn’t cynical enough.

Look, I’m an immigrant—American by choice. I still carry some of that immigrant admiration, reverence even, for the U.S.A. The shine hasn’t altogether worn off.

Perhaps it never does. As cynical as I temperamentally am, I can never be as cynical as an American native.

Oh, and concerning the last sentence in that quote from the June 25th podcast, the one about hanging politicians from utility poles: If someone can get the party going, I’m definitely in.

AMERICA—THIRD MOST POPULOUS NATION ON EARTH, AND MOST CORRUPT

Thanks, Sir. This criminal Biden and the Democraps and the Alienists are pure evil.

USA is the the only country in the world in the top 5 most populous nations to allow immigration. All other countries in the top 5 have negative immigration, i.e. e-migration (people leaving).

World Rank ||| Country ||| Population ||| Immigration per year.

Solution: Amend the constitution and ban all immigration, for ever. Close the doors for good. America is fool/full.

As a matter of fact, no, many of us haven’t voted Red+Blue for at least twenty years. Nor does any American — native or immigrant — share responsibility with or owe statist fealty to those who mongered or waged the war.

I’m profoundly depressed about what’s happened. Right at the last minute the army airlifts 100,000 Afghans (give or take) and then the press and government tell everyone to stfu and all the retired officers get jobs with NGOs managing refugee resettlement. Where was this in any contract? Any plan? What fresh fuckery is this? Is the only answer to buy a small hotel and just cater to this obvious scam with some kind of government contract to supply beds to endless fucking waves of scamming asylum seekers? Just open a dorm or apartment building! That’s the future?

    Derb,

I don’t know what the Scottish Referendum 2.0 is polling like right now but there’s a credible scenario that resettled Afghans in this clutch of refugees could be naturalised and hosted in Scotland. If Sturgeon can control them to vote SNP a mere 10,000 votes in a close election could end the Anglo Scottish union. These plane loads of Afghans could literally end the Union. Does Boris have a clue?

  10. If Sturgeon can control them

The Soviet Union look like geniuses compared to the Jewish occupation government in the U.S. when it comes to withdrawal. The Soviets withdrew with little fanfare or drama other than celebrations throughout the West and their Communist backed Afghan government lasted around three years after they left.

The Soviets felt no need to resettle tens of thousands of Afghans inside the borders of the Soviet Union. Russians aren’t sentimental bleeding heart dopes like white Americans and Russian hating Jews had long lost power inside the Soviet Union by that time.

American style “democracy” collapsed within 48 hours.

So Russia cracked the whip and Tajikistan jumped.

The open intent of post-1965 Immigration policy is to import highly racialized nonwhite LEGAL IMMIGRANTS who will breed on US Soil to produce a highly racialized nonwhite geneline…………so that nonwhite LEGAL IMMIGRANTS+their nonwhite US Born Geneline can vote….the Native White Working Class into a ever dwindling violently persecuted white racial minority within the borders of America…..

Post-1965 Immigration Policy is manifestly WHITE GENOCIDE and here is the proof:

I’ve come in contact with about a dozen European immigrants mostly from the U.K., Germany and Scandinavia and all are glad to be here and do have a reverence for the USA. Two of the Germans started small manufacturing businesses employing several dozen people and some of the white U.K. immigrants are engineers. Another one was the president of a medium sized company and another of a small business employing 120 people that he started. There is not one freeloader among the bunch nor are any of them sponsoring family members so they can come in and freeload.

There should be more but of course U.S. immigration policy actively discriminates against white Europeans in favor people from third world nations.

By contrast, most of the Oriental or third world immigrants who I’ve come across seem to view America as just a place to make money and exploit and are mostly indifferent to its history. Some are highly educated and productive. But they usually buy established businesses like gas stations, donut shops, liquor stores and small hotels instead of starting new ones and tend to hire only their own family members or members of their own ethnic groups.

No doubt there are exceptions in both groups but white Europeans are the most culturally assimilable people because America was founded as an outpost of white European (Western) civilization and not the universal nation/shopping mall that Jews have turned it into.

  20. Double first cousins means a pair of siblings married a pair of siblings and each had children. The children are first cousins on both maternal and paternal sides, and share all four grandparents. They should certainly never wed! As long as they do not pair up there is nothing “wrong” with double first cousins. But if they wed, as in Afghanistan, it is genetically like siblings marrying each other and having children.

It seems socially wrong. I question that the genetics are dangerous because recessive genes eventually express one generation or later, but how can a person bond with family if reproduction is possible among them? The social aspect seems terrible. Imagine visiting your sibling of the opposite gender and having others suspect something. That destroys the bond. A person couldn’t visit his aunt, his mother, etc. Life would be so lonely without having normal, nonsexual bonds to kin.

Starting with the one Derb’s dad fought in over a century ago.

“Double first cousin,” in case you’re wondering, means first cousin once removed…

Then the JoBS is using it incorrectly. A double first cousin results from the unions of two siblings. They have the same four grandparents. Essentially siblings, genetically.

Removed means in a different, later generation. Your first cousin once removed depends from your four grandparents, but they are his great-grandparents. Or vice versa, if he’s your parent’s first cousin. The same term is used for both members of the pair.

According to these charts, double first cousin is four times as related as first cousin once removed:

There is nothing socially wrong with having siblings, as long as you do not marry them. The same goes for double first cousins — they are genetically equivalent to siblings. Nothing wrong with them, but do not marry them. For exactly the same reason one should not marry a sibling.

It often used to happen when the best man in a recent wedding (groom’s brother) took up with the bridesmaid (bride’s sister). It is fine as long as their children (double first cousins) are treated as if they are siblings, in terms of not partnering.

    NO, I COMPLETELY DISAGREE.

I mean really – because both parties supported the war and we never had a choice, THAT makes us responsible? WTF?

There were political candidates against the war – Tulsi Gabbard comes to mind, but there have been many others – and they were censored, deplatformed, the rules changed to exclude them from the debate, no media coverage of their actual positions etc. By a miracle Donald Trump finally gave the American people a choice – they they chose to get out. Bu the ruling elites didn’t want that, so they pressured Trump and got him to maintain the status quo.

Our so-called “Democracy” is a sham that privatizes power and socializes responsibility. On this as so many things, the elites have gotten what they want despite popular opposition (mass immigration? bank bailouts? moving our industrial base to China?) and now they expect the American people to take responsibility. No. Shame on you.

The American people have NO responsibility for the fiasco in Afghanistan. The Afghanis did not fight for us, do not like us, we owe them nothing. They are fleeing not the Taliban but the consequences of their own behavior, notably breeding like rodents. If we are going to import hundreds of thousands (millions? tens of millions?) of highly inbred Wahhabist 80-IQ wife-beating pederasts, how about we resettle them into the gated estates of the people who really are responsible, like Zuckerberg and Gates etc, and make them pay for it? I’d like to know what law allows DHS to classify refugees as “on parole”. From what I can tell it is an arbitrary classification created by DHS (headed by Jew Mayorkas) to admit sketchy, unvetted third world refugees. All Afghans who do not qualify for SIV’s should be sent back or to a Muslim country like Saudi Arabia since it will be those animals who start building mosques for them once they get resettled in mostly white communities.

Pictures of the plane cabins I saw were carrying 80-90% military age men. Why do so many Muslim men flee like cowards instead of fighting for their country? These people will become freeloaders and a burden to U.S. society.

Just like conservatives are a-ok with a billion third world immigrants coming to America as long as it’s “legal” the same people are saying we should only accept “vetted” refugees. So 10 million refugees are are fine as long as they are vetted properly which is impossible to do given the lack of records in these nations and the willingness of the refugees to lie about who they are.

For others, they have played well and placed a thorn in the side of the Russians and the Chinese. These two views correspond to the traditional paradigm of the American Empire. But for Thierry Meyssan, Washington is, since September 11, 2001, in the hands of the followers of the Rumsfeld/Cebrowski doctrine. The United States is now behaving like a racketeer. The chaos will continue in Afghanistan for a long time. Russian, Chinese and European companies who wish to do so will be able to mine in Afghanistan, but only if they entrust their security to the US forces. Those who refuse this protection will be eliminated.

  68. Actually, double first cousins are people who are cousins on both the father’s and mother’s side. They arise when the sibling of a spouse marries a sibling of the other spouse in that same marriage. For example, Bill and Sue are sibling and John and Mary are siblings. If Bill marries Mary and Sue marries John, the children of Bill-Mary will be double cousins of John-Sue. Thus, double first cousins are far more closely related than either first cousins or first cousins once removed. They are about as close to siblings as you can possibly be without actually being siblings.

Immigration policy is really the reflection of national policy which is a reflection of its beliefs.

The core belief shared by both liberals and conservatives is that race does not exist and opposing mass immigration or even suggesting rational selection implies that not all groups will contribute at the same levels.

This problem cannot be blamed entirely on Jews. DC is filled to the brim with White Republicans that happily deny race because they either are offended for Christian reasons or more commonly want to turn the Americas into one big brown market for the sake of the stock market. For something imaginary the press never fails to ferret out nearly endless personal stories of Americans struck down by the disease and others left without resources from the societal fallout. Moreover, they seem to find the same questionable phenomena around the entire globe, no matter who runs the place. Go figure, eh? Still a personal catastrophe impending for these imaginary folks, American citizens most in this country.

I can predict that every Afghan émigré who sets sandal upon American soil will be fixed up with all the essentials of life in his or her new country… free stuff out the gazoo! Housing, feed, medicamento, educación, mail-in ballots, you name it. How can those imaginary American victims of circumstance get posh service like that from their own guv? Then it occurred to me that those 2 million migrants arriving every year from south of the border down Mexico way can teach the gringos a thing or two! Simply reverse migrate: high tail it across the Rio Grande, renounce American citizenship if necessary, form a caravan of fellow expats and storm back over the border as refugees. Refugees from the Davos crowd or whomever is purportedly orchestrating the so-called Covid hoax, the population cull and the Great Reset. Or maybe just emulate the Afghans, Syrians, Somalis, etc, etc: lose all paperwork and credentials and claim you no speaka da English. That should work as well as what’s going down now. The most popular topic at Unz seems to be articles on “inbeeding leads to the expression of harmful recessive traits.” Everyone loves to cheer on the articles, laugh at examples of people with harmful expressed recessive traits, or just generally harmful traits (some perhaps dominant harmful traits).

But what’s really needed, genetically, is selection against harmful genes, also in favour of positive genes, etc.

Historically, humans were in small groups. You’d have endogamous tribes/castes/clans and exogamous tribes. An advantage of exogamy is simply the larger kin group (greater numbers means greater strength). Humans specialise to their environment or economic niche, just like animals in the rainforest.

Within a small endogamous group, after several generations, recessive traits are going to express without any form of inbreeding. Similarly, within a larger nation, recessive traits are eventually going to express if not selected against.

The very proglodytes who denounce lynching in the South as disproportionate to the crime have no problem with Obama using drone strikes to take out entire families in the name of killing terrorists, or with Jews bombing entire sections of Gaza.

  94. Why be concerned about things one has no control over, like wars and refugees? Wars and massive refugee crises go together. So when one starts a war he should also expect to see refugees coming in. The US president with the help of his cabinet starts wars at will. But wait a minute. Do the people agree?

From what I have read the people of Germany didn’t want to start WW2, neither the people of Japan. The political elites did. How many Americans did agree with the start of the US wars? According to Gallup 80% of the Americans supported going to war against Afghanistan and 72% supported invading Iraq.

I feel a bit ironic while writing this. I would like to believe that if the people had had the complete information at the time they would have supported other options than war. Is it to say that the US propaganda machine is still more powerful than Goebbel’s was? Maybe, but I also think that the information was there for anyone to see on the brink of the Afghanistans and Irak wars. So the American people have some responsability in those wars and they are being paid with refugees in return.

The Left has been doing “crazy” stuff for decades, and now we are on the brink of the US becoming a 1 party socialist state. If you think something is stupid, but it works, it’s not stupid.

Well, suddenly, the Israelis DO have a plan to suicide themselves: it’s called the Pfizer-Kill-Shot: “With over 2.5 million Israelis already inoculated with three Covid-19 vaccine doses, the national coronavirus czar, Salman Zarka, has said preparations need to begin for an eventual fourth jab due to the virus’ growing variants. ” https://www.rt.com/news/533981-israel-covid19-vaccine-fourth-dose/

Since the Israeli’s are avoiding “inoculating” their Palestinian population and the Palestinians themselves have a Covid-Kill-Shot rate of around 1% it won’t be long until Palestinians are the majority population within Israel proper–or at least that portion of the population that can still perform the normal functions of everyday life–including the ability to reproduce.

Especially since the coronavirus czar intends permanent “booster” shots so that if the spike-protein doesn’t get you the first, second or third time, it will do so eventually. I guess Dr. Zelenko’s testimony to the Rabbinical Court had little influence: https://rumble.com/vkrdx6-dr.-zelenko-speaks-to-a-rabbinical-court-in-jerusalem.html

I’m surprised Canada lets them in given that their government is succumbing to wokeness. But good for Canada if they are letting them in. I hear Australia and New Zealand allow them in as well.

White S Africans should convert of Islam which will allow them to bypass the bureaucracy. Then when they arrive in America they can convert back to Christianity. This is just like how some Muslims feigned conversion to Christianity to gain entry into Europe then converted back to Islam once let in.

Great comment. I would like to say that white South Africans like to behave in a righteous manner. They tend to be a conservative bunch and lying, stealing, cheating etc is frowned upon.

In the world today, especially in the west this is a deadly flaw. A righteous man rocking with Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves will be lucky to retain his skin.

The goal today is to get what you want and to do so every means possible must be implemented. The God fearing fellow who believes honesty is the best policy will be left alone to his own devices with a bitter taste in his mouth.

Sadly, lying, robbing, cheating, looting, corruption, bribery etc is all the rage and a man must choose “predator or prey”. White South Africans should do as you suggest. Everyone else, Moslems, Catholics and every other religion in between and every colour from white to jet black is fucking the immigration system and getting their piece. Even the Catholic Church, that paragon of virtue is a major player. Certainly it seems to me the Pope and his Disciples show not the least fear of the fires of Hell. Why should anyone else ?

One cannot play by the rules these days. The man who does will be a loser !

  107. There is a quite interesting case of buyer’s remorse going on with one part, lamenting that even this seemingly easy withdrawal somehow got bolloxed up. And then another part wondering why there weren’t an endless stream of 19yos thrown to slaughter. Neither side appears too willing to hold the actual culprits accountable.

@101 Angiekens: Are you for real? Those ‘Californian’ school children are Afghanis. Moreover, their families came here claiming to be refugees, and then, as is habitual, went back to vacation and visit with their Afghani relatives. They do not consider Afghanistan a ‘war ravaged country’; it’s HOME. The vast majority of people ‘evacuated’ from Afghanistan were . . . Afghanis. Anytime you read of some crisis or purported tragedy anywhere in the world and the word ‘American’ is mentioned, they are referring to aliens with magic citizenship papers.

Genuine nationality equals blood and soil. Perhaps you ought to study the wisdom of the ancients (Horace): “Caelum non animum mutant qui trans mare currunt.”

  109. @TG

Realistically, the American people were not in favor of a “war” in Afghanistan, but they WERE mostly in favor of what used to be called a “punitive expedition” — i.e., send forces into Afghanistan, uproot and disrupt and expel al-Qaeda, then leave one giant smoking crater in the ground where a town used to be, along with a great big note which read, “Never, EVER do that again. Understand?”

    Then leave.

No bases, no occupation, no years and years of pointless nonsense, no gay flags or portraits of George Floyd (WHAT THE WTF?).

I think most Americans would have been willing to accept moral responsibility for say six months’ worth of retribution, whether provably deserved or not. Beyond that, it’s all on the (((overlords))).
