So far, the national news media (e.g., networks and the New York Times and the Washington Post) are split over how heavily to invest in the Althea Bernstein Hate Crime story out of Madison, WI:

ABC is betting heavily on Ms. Bernstein’s veracity:

Police artist’s sketch of Ms. Bernstein’s attackers

From Yahoo.com:

Bernstein described the men as “classic Wisconsin frat boys” who appeared to be intoxicated. She said two of them were wearing all black and the other two donned floral shirts and jeans. Far right protestors in recent weeks have shown up in Hawaiian shirts to counter Black liberation demonstrations, but it is unclear at this time whether Bernstein’s attackers are directly connected to the movement.

Update: Be on the lookout for a white racist frat boy named Haven Monahan.

But the NYT and WaPo haven’t yet quite pushed all their chips to the center of the table on the Althea Bernstein Hate Crime story. They’ve just been running wire service accounts so far. For example, from the Washington Post:

Wisconsin woman wants burn attackers to know they hurt her
By Associated Press
June 26, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. PDT

MADISON, Wis. — A biracial Wisconsin woman who says a group of white men set her on fire while she was driving wants her attackers to know they hurt her but hopes they will improve themselves.

Althea Bernstein told ABC’s “Good Morning America” for a Friday segment that she hasn’t slept and doesn’t have an appetite. But she called the attack in the state’s capital city of Madison

As we all know, Madison is an uneducated Southern redneck hick town full of unreconstructed Confederates.

For example, just days ago a mob of white racists in Madison pulled down the statue of Union Army hero Colonel Hans Christian Heg as vengeance on the meddling damn Yankees.

a “learning opportunity” for her attackers.

“I’m very, very hopeful that these men sort of see all the responses and that they know that they hurt me and that this is something that’s going to affect me for a while,” she said. “And I really hope that they choose to improve themselves.”

According to a police report, Bernstein, an 18-year-old studying to become a paramedic, was attacked while driving in downtown Madison early Wednesday morning. A crowd of 200 to 300 protesters had pulled down two statues outside the state Capitol building and attacked state Sen. Tim Carpenter on the Capitol lawn. Someone also threw a fire bomb into a city-county building, starting a fire.

In this undated photo provided by the family of Althea Bernstein shows the burns on Bernstein’s face and neck after four white men sprayed her with lighter fluid and threw a lighter at her, setting her on fire as she was driving in downtown Madison, Wis., during protests that she was not a part of early Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Bernstein, who is studying to become an paramedic, drove away and patted out the flames. She visited an emergency room later that night, where she said health care workers had to scrub her skin off. She said she will eventually need plastic surgery. Authorities as investigating the incident as a hate crime. (Photo courtesy of family of Althea Bernstein via AP)

Bernstein told the news website Madison365.com that she didn’t participate in the protests and was driving to her brother’s home. She said she had her window down while stopped at a red light and heard someone shout a racial slur at her.

She said four white men appeared — two dressed in black and two in Hawaiian shirts — and sprayed her with lighter fluid. One allegedly tossed a flaming lighter at her, setting her neck and face on fire.

She said she “blasted” through the red light, patted the fire out and continued on to her brother’s. She later visited an emergency room, where she said health care workers had to scrub her skin off. She said she will eventually need plastic surgery.

“I never really knew someone could hate you just by looking at you,” Bernstein told the website. “They didn’t know me. I didn’t know them. I was just driving my car and minding my own business.”

She contacted police later Wednesday morning and gave them a statement Thursday.

The attack is being investigated as a hate crime with assistance from the FBI, Madison Police spokesman Joel DeSpain said. A detective has been in touch with Bernstein and is reviewing surveillance video from the area to see if any cameras captured the attack, he said.

Somebody on Twitter pointed out a plausible-sounding alternative scenario:

That sure looks like a squirt bottle of lighter fluid for setting charcoal on fire. Whether that is a man or a woman is unclear.

But, in general, riots are dangerous places where events can play out in unexpected directions. Accidents happen, especially during a riot.

Time will tell.

But … the time sure matches up between this purported hate crime (wee hours of June 24th) and this real life arson attack nearby around 1 AM on a downtown Madison government building:

Funny how at almost the exact same time a Mostly Peaceful Protester/Arsonist was spraying lighter fluid on the City County Building in Madison, WI in the early morning hours of June 24, a young woman of color claims to have been attacked nearby by 4 racist white men who lit her on fire with lighter fluid.

A remarkable coincidence.

It might even have something to do with why Ms. Bernstein didn’t initially report the flagrant Hate Crime upon her to the police and intermittently appears to be trying to downplay its significance ever since.

Note: Earlier, I wrote a paragraph involving which side of her face the marks were on. Since then, I’ve seen multiple published pictures showing conflicting sides. I gather that this has something to do with taking selfies and is not terribly germane to this case, so I deleted that bit I wrote because it seemed to be a distraction.

  3. Bernstein … burn stain … the simulation is strong with this one.

  4. It would be up to the police to investigate, but did all four men spray her with lighter fluid at the same time, and how did the lighter stay lit when thrown? Usually you have to hold down a tab with your thumb to release the gas and the lighter is extinguished by releasing the tab.

However, you really can’t rely on newspaper reports to get the facts right, and the story may have gotten garbled in the telling.

So the police could tell if it’s the type that will stay lit without the tab being depressed, right?

… how did the lighter stay lit when thrown? Usually you have to hold down a tab with your thumb to release the gas and the lighter is extinguished by releasing the tab.

This sounds like total bullshit. Maybe she’ll say they used a Zippo?

I assume she’ll be expected to produce the lighter so the cops can check it for prints. Or maybe it struck her, set her on fire, and then bounced back into the street?

And how far away were they when they did all these things? It would be a real ironic tragedy if they got her with a Super Soaker while she waited at a red light: two of our greatest black inventions would be put a truly foul use.

Those aren’t burns. The “attack” probably never happened. Thete were several attacks on black women by black men in the riots, documented on video, including one in which the woman is lifted up and dumped into a trash dumpster. None of them will ever be a news story.
We finally have an exception to the rule that black claims of hearing a random white person randomly say the n-word (and thereby justifying assault) are obviously always lying. An old white lady was confronted and terrorized by an out of control (and unmasked) NASA scientist, who DEMANDED that the old white lady say the word. Confused and frightened, the old white lady made the wrong decision, and gets viciously attacked. What’s notable is the completely socopathic newsmedia and twitterati response, all of whom look at a video of an old white lady getting physically attacked for no reason and smirk about how dumb she is.
At this point I’d like to draw attention to Steven Spielberg’s presupposition that educational initiatives and films such as Schindler’s List can teach people morality.

The Wapo left out the part where the four assailants yelled out “this is MAGA country!”

The bad news for Ms. Bernstein is the feds are involved. There is zero chance the DA in Dane County (home of Madison) would ever prosecute a hoax. The feds, on the other hand, sometimes get angry if they’re lied to.

Also, the other part of the story that doesn’t make sense is that was a pretty angry mob that night. Beyond the destruction they attacked a gay Democrat state Senator and beat a fellow black protestor. It seems odd four white guys roaming around hurling racial slurs would be left alone.

  16. Burns are a horrific injury, so if this story is true, I nothing but comtempt for the perpetrators. However, “Look, a wolf” too many times and sometimes people playing with fire, as in molotov cocktails, burn themselfs and need a cover story for the ER report.

  17. The photos are flipped. She did an interview on Good Morning America and on that video it’s the left side of her face.

    Hmmm.

  19. @Jonathan Mason

If it was an old-style Zippo it can stay lit as long as the lid is open, but A) people don’t tend to just discard those except in movies, and B) they really don’t stay lit that well when flying through the air. If it went in her car and hit her then one would expect the lighter would still be in the car and she would have been able to provide it to police. Nice stainless steel surface for fingerprints, too. But I won’t be holding my breath.

But, really, the hardest thing to believe about the story is that there are racist frat boys running around Madison setting fire to innocent, random Black girls. Really? Probably part of the same gang that got Jussie Smollett.

But this is a teenage girl we’re talking about. There’s a zero percent chance that someone in her demographic would be so desperate to participate in a fad social movement that she’d hurt herself or tell a lie.

But look up the recent Florida “data scientist” who got fired for insubordination during the Covid crisis and you’ll see that many sites mirror her photo — she gave the press a selfie sitting in front of her computer and the map of Florida on her screen is obviously reversed.

The striking detail in the post-incident photo of Ms. Bernstein, in my view, is the complete lack of burning of any of her hair. Her eyebrows, eye lashes and hair around her temples is completely unharmed. If the incident went down remotely as described, I would have very much expected some of her hair to be burnt — hair is very flammable — but none of it is.

    Yes, there are some parallels.

Then: Riding on a ginned-up hoax, the Mason-Maddox-Sharpton Axis sought to create a separate legal process for blacks, where they could level accusations, produce witnesses, and adduce evidence as they pleased, without any cross examination, and immune to contrary findings by the state.

Today: Riding on a ginned-up hoax, BLM et al. seek to nullify any legal process against blacks, where not only are facts irrelevant, but any accusation or impugnment of blacks is automatically “racist” and invalid.

The difference is that in 1987, New York State methodically and impartially dismantled and discredited the Mason-Maddox-Sharpton project. By contrast, today, 33 years later, state, local and federal authorities everywhere—even in foreign countries—are making the criminals’ wishes come true.

Calling today’s situation “bizarre” is an understatement. It is more like mass hysteria.

  61. Careful inspection of the medical facility photo posted on VDare.com confirms the mirror image hypothesis. The packaging label in the background is left margin justified, confirming the accurate orientation of the patient’s face. The WaPo depiction is the reversed version: the location and shape of the wounds correspond exactly in all other respects, albeit they are shown at different stages in their evolution/healing. Must wait for the drudgery of the remaining investigations to confirm or debunk the story. 79. jsm says:

Maybe she meant they washed the skin to clean it and remove any chemical residue. Could these be chemical burns? Hair relaxing chemicals?

Nah. The hospital staff believe it was lighter fluid that caused the burns. Althea made up a cock and bull story about “4 white guys threw lighter fluid on her for no reason and said a racial slur” as a cover story to tell the ER personnel, of how she got burnt. Because obviously she couldn’t tell them she burnt herself while committing the felony of arson, that is, throwing a molotov cocktail at the City County building.

The tell is that she went home, instead of straight to the hospital. No doubt, she didn’t WANT to go to the hospital — until her mother made her, and undoubtedly on the way there, she did the obvious thing of, make up a lie about HATE crime by 4 white guys and then go on Good Morning America, about how awful it all was, to get sympathy from the media, so that the cops won’t DARE come arrest her, lest it start more rioting.

Another “tell” is that she’s very very vague, and “doesn’t remember” details. A liar doesn’t want to go into details, because they know that’s the way to get caught in your lie.
Unlike head injury, there’s no reason that getting burnt will cause memory loss.

Actually, I don’t think they’re “betting” on anything. That would insinuate a risk being taken by a news network with a story like this, and I don’t see that being the case in most instances of hate crimes reporting. Aside from the Covington kids case, I don’t think presumptive and untruthful reporting of hate hoaxes have had much negative impact impact on MSM news outlets. If they’re wrong – and they quite possibly are in this case – what will be the consequence? Will CNN or MSNBC viciously attack their competitor for being wrong? Don’t think so. Fox will, but they’re fascists, remember? (And the only one to call them out as well.)

These stories aren’t about the truth…as in facts or evidence. They’re about (as the Atlantic once put it in a story about the King Alfred Plan, one of the biggest hate hoaxes of all time from the late ’60’s) “a conduit to a greater truth.”

People who are fans of most network news broadcasts don’t pay attention to the facts with regards to social or political reporting. They want sermons for a secular world, and the big news networks give them that.

The Hawaiian shirts are like something out of The Warriors. Considering what happened to the Proud Boys, anyone to the right of Bernie spraying a minority with inflammable liquid and igniting them would get a minimum ten years actual time. But there are men who have a thing for doing it to settle grudges with other men.

Considering her youth, big hair, and light skin some sexual fetish predator motive cannot be ruled out. Nor can it being consensual gone wrong: porn performer Skin Diamond let her boyfriend do it–though not on her face–and needed massive tattoos to cover up the burns. It looks rather too close to her eye for being self inflicted, unless she is much more seriously disturbed than shows.

Over the years I have read more that once about criminals who tried to cover their tracks with arson and ended up with flash burns from the vapour when they lit it off. Its intended to incite leftists to attack off duty cops and feds.

For those in the know, the typical big beefy guy with a crew cut and shorts and Hawaiian shirt over a t-shirt out with his kids and wife is NOT a secret Nazi. He’s an off duty cop or fed with a concealed handgun that the Hawaiian shirt breaks up the outline.

Its an old conceal carry trick. Plain clothes detectives love tweed or hounds tooth jackets. They break up the outline of a gun. Also, dark jackets, black being best. Another tell is plaid shirts that are dark over a dark t shirt. The pattern like a Hawaiian shirt breaks up the outline of the gun. Particularly something blocky like a Glock. Another tell is fanny packs. Seriously, a middle aged dude wearing one, particularly a White guy. Off duty cop or fed.

The 4Channers are brilliant. They are stepping it up. Inciting stupid lefties to attack their protectors, cops and particularly feds. Who don’t like much being attacked. Never a smart move to attack the Praetorian Guard. Some lefty idiot will have watched “Hunters” and figure he’s the heroic anti-Nazi hero, attack some off duty fed, and get ventilated heavily. Bonus points if the dude is Black and the Fed is White.

While it is one thing for Joe Average to be made an example of, and even cops, FEDS are another matter entirely. Joe Biden says he will use the Federal Marshals and FBI to arrest people for not wearing masks. Yeah right after throwing a Fed to the wolves for shooting some BLM dude because Hawaiian shirt = Nazi, which is utterly predictable, the Feds will be as on strike as the cops.

Leaving only the military as the force to be used against Joe Average on behalf of the Oligarchs and Woke Capital. And that means just one Flight Lt. Jerry Rawlings figuring if Generals are in on the action, why not him?

Thing is, Lefty is STUPID. He believes 100% in the media and the church of Entertainment. If it is on TV, he figures it must be true. The 4Chan folks are taking advantage of that stupidity gap. There is a lesson there.

    Black people and fire.

Black people, or People of Black Color (POBC) as they sometimes are called, are disproportionately involved with the use of fire during acts of violence. New nation news has an entire section that chronicles this phenomena. Setting fire to and/or stomping a victim, appears to be a somewhat common POBC reaction when angered.

It’s therefore likely that POBC think more frequently about fire than non-POBCs. And it follows that fire will be a more frequent theme in the POBC’s hate hoax repertoire.

Just across the street, hundreds of their mostly white neighbors were there for decidedly different reasons. They leaned in front of local businesses The Daily Bagel and Rick’s Smoke Shop wearing military fatigues and bulletproof vests, with blue bands tied around their arms. Most everyone seemed to be carrying something: flags, baseball bats, hammers and axes. But mostly, they carried guns…

…in Coquille, Oregon, Curry County Sheriff John Ward warned residents on Tuesday in a Facebook post that “3 buss loads of ANTIFA protestors are making their way from Douglas County headed for Coquille then to Coos Bay.”

That night, hundreds gathered at the Coos County Courthouse with guns, awaiting arrival of the antifa buses, the Bandon Western World reported.

Imagine explaining to your grandkids 40 years from now that the reason tens of millions died worldwide from a virus was beach weather

What a tweet. Yea, tens of millions will die, worldwide, and it’s all those Florida rednecks’ fault. They’ll kill tens or hundreds of thousands of Pashtuns and Kikuyus through their beachgoing. The rioters- I mean, the peaceful protesters, those of a few weeks ago, are presumably not one bit to blame for any infections that would not otherwise happen, let alone deaths from Covid-19. It’s at most a big coincidence. After all, the yellow virus doesn’t affect those who gather together for a good cause. That’s how pandemics work.

Plus, tens of millions, worldwide… that’s 20 million or more, if my arithmetic is correct, and the official counts haven’t reached half a million yet, and its initial large exponential growth rate has decreased by now. Given that tens of millions of WuFlu deaths is an event that’s currently not very likely to happen, this year or the next, could it be more likely, or at least possible, that gentleman of the tweet is being sarcastic, or, alternatively, that he wishes for those deaths to happen? Perish the thought! I’m disappointed too that the world might not end, but that’s life.

And speaking of minds that seem preoccupied lately — given that you address Sailer directly in so many of your posts, something I have noticed (a verb whose forms can be written in lowercase) without going through your comments (as even now I have other things to waste time on), I’d worry that it is as contagious as the Covid and spreads through screens. I’m doing extremely light research on the boogaloo boys movement. They seem to be nominal libertarians policitally aligned with antifa for some reason, on some issues. They seem to hate cops for some reason.
    https://www.insider.com/boogaloo-bois-protest-far-right-minneapolis-extremist-guns-hawaiian-shirts-2020-5

“The far-right group, born from 4chan’s /k/ board, which is dedicated to gun worship, has no firm central organization, and only has a loose collection of shared values, but has seemingly become activated by the anti-police protests, which many of them appear to largely agree with given their disdain for most forms of policing and oversight.“ …
“Their presence has been frightening for other protesters and local governments, who have good reason to be suspicious of their intentions and ideologies. “ …
“ In April, a Texas Boogaloo Boi was arrested after stating his intent to hunt and kill a police officer during a livestream.” …
“ In the last two years, however, shitposting (sharing offensive and shocking memes just for fun) and gun collection comparisons evolved into militia-organizing and training — all in preparation for the theoretical boogaloo, or civil war.” …

Shitposting is one of those millennial terms that leaves a dirty taste in my mouth. Like “ironically liking.” These guys seem to be walking talking shit posts. Why do the call themselves boogaloo? From the Wikipedia page on the boogaloo movement. “ The term boogaloo alludes to the 1984 cult film Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo, an unsuccessful sequel to a poorly reviewed predecessor.[2] Following the film’s release, the phrase “2: Electric Boogaloo” became a verbal template appended to a topic as a signal of pejorative parody.[21]“ they call themselves the boogaloo boys to draw attention to the fact that they’re a parody, I’m not sure of what. Far left Antifas or far right neo nazi militias would be my guess. Back to business insider.

Despite the overlap between white supremacy and far-right ideologies and the Boogaloo Bois, many Boogaloo posts online have disavowed racism and anti-gay rhetoric in their conversations. In a May 27 post on the Boogaloo Bois Facebook page, an administrator of the page wrote in his post that “as many times as we’ve addressed our lack to of tolerance for racism here I feel like we’ve neglected to take a stand for the lgbtq community within this movement.”

I’m not naive, that seems like obvious dead pan satire. These guys seem to be living out their satirical musings in an extremely millennial manner. Walking around with big guns and putting themselves in situations where conflict could arise with antifa seems like a bad idea. At least to me. My conclusion is that boogaloo boys are currently unemployed or their job skills aren’t terribly essential, so they have free time to attend BLM protesters. They likely suffer from “antifa face.” They didn’t come out quite right & or weren’t breast fed. Which explains why they find humor in things like Hawaiian shirts and shit posting. They are likely trump voters who enjoy trolling the media so much that they show up to BLM protests with Hawaiian shirts and large rifles but don’t realize how much bodily harm they could be putting themselves into.

This expert testimony you’re providing could explain a lot.

  197. I live just outside Madison. I’ve been to all of these places (Capitol Square, State Street, etc.) dozens of times. Since the destruction of the Forward and Heg statues on Tuesday night, there has been a sea change in how the local media (Madison and Milwaukee) cover the “protests” and the resulting arrests.

–Local media are running stories about the history of the Forward and Heg statues that would make the most patriotic Wisconsinite blush. Full photo albums of the statues down through the years.

–The feds have charged Devonere Johnson (the guy with the bat) with extortion. He didn’t just harass that one restaurant. He’s been harassing businesses for a long time and amped it up on Monday and Tuesday:

“Johnson entered another bar and allegedly asked for free food and drinks or else the bar would be ‘marked,’ according to the complaint.

‘You don’t want 600 people to come here and destroy your business and burn it down. The cops are on our side,’ according to the complaint, which included interviews with the bar owner about what Johnson allegedly said. ‘You notice that when you call them, nothing happens to us.’” (https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/crime/2020/06/26/madison-man-whose-arrest-sparked-violence-charged-extortion/3267055001/?fbclid=IwAR1gVtDgw6qZ3_fsCK404ou2qhg-TUsFTD1P5IAUpGVxqyJWXwiMeLnEK_0)

–The local cops have made more arrests, including one of the looters from the massive State Street riot on May 30.

    –Madison.com
(the online version of the Wisconsin Street Journal) seems to have changed its editorial position to be strongly against further “unrest.” In the week after the May 30 riots, they interviewed a bunch of State Street business owners (restaurants, bars, shops, etc.). Only a few were willing to condemn the riots openly. Most said something like, “Small price to pay for social justice.” Now, Madison.com is reporting how many downtown business owners won’t go on record with their names and businesses for fear of retaliation. So they’re admitting those sham interviews three weeks ago were spoken by hostages under duress. The news stories also highlight immigrant shop-keepers (Indians, Thai) who feel harassed. The message is, “If people are still protesting at this point, they’re miscreants.”

–The news stories about Althea Johnson are rather . . . muted.

How to explain the sea change? Here are some possibilities:

1.) The Madison Police Department threatened to mutiny against Mayor Satya Rhode-Conway, who publicly apologized for praising them privately.

2.) Local media (TV stations and print journalism) likely have an older readership, 55+, living in the residential areas of Madison and the suburbs. At least half of these people are Norwegian or have married into Norwegian families. The insult to Heg was felt sharply. If you’re even one-eighth Norwegian in Wisconsin (that’s all the more I am), you’re Norwegian and you think of yourself that way. During the riots on May 30, the Heg statue was the first thing I thought of.

3.) The University of Wisconsin stepped in. The state government and downtown business community are child’s play compared to the University of Wisconsin. UW campus lies at one end of State Street. If State Street becomes an unsafe neighborhood, then fewer people from across Wisconsin and across the country (and around the world) will want to go to UW. When prospective students, parents, and alumni visit Madison, UW has State Street for them to stroll down and get a bite to eat, circle the Capitol, and stroll back. During Badgers football games, alumni and out-of-towners swarm downtown. If you cut off that neighborhood to UW students and alumni, then UW starts to feel the pinch, and they’re the ones who matter.

  200. First of all, it doesn’t make a lot of sense that she would drive through the epicenter of the protests to go visit her brother at 1am. However, 18 year-olds don’t always think things through I suppose. Also, it would be pretty easy to check when the red-lights start flashing at night. If the red lights were flashing at that time, then she wouldn’t have “sat” at a red light, she would’ve stopped for a second then moved on (or roll-stopped, as most of us do). If she really did drive through the middle of a burning city, she’s either lying about what she was actually doing there, or she’s really dumb/naive.

My gut tells me that, as others have pointed out, she was in a place she wasn’t supposed to be and fabricated the lie to the ER and to her parents to cover her tracks, and the media got a hold of it. My guess is eventually the facts will come out that she was lying but the media will have no interest in reporting it and it will go down the collective memory hole, as these cases often do. Then when someone like Steve brings it up again, people will be confused as to why anyone cares, and claim he is racist for noticing.

It’s too bad that the police have not yet been defunded and abolished. She should have had access to a social worker and antiracist counselor. I’m sure they would have gotten to the bottom of things.

It will be really delicious if the police and FBI, instead of just announcing that it was a hoax and she will plead to probation or something, they arrest her for a major felony. In the 80s there was a movie called Breakin’ about breakdancing, which had a sequel called Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo. It has been a meme on the internet for decades.

So people who root for the Boogaloo are rooting for open conflict, as it would put an end to the asymmetrical warfare being waged on traditional Americans. As it stands we are currently living through Reconstruction 2, without ever having lost or fought Civil War 2. They ideology is accelerationist, but the activists don’t really exist in meatspace. Unless you homeschool your kids on a farm without a tv or internet or join some insular group like the Amish or Belz you are slaving away for children who will end up mocking you.

It’s not like previous generations haven’t had large numbers of imbeciles and brainwashed people of normal intelligence though.

That said, we live in the USSR-lite now; brainwashing is everywhere in an intensity not seen before. Well, not you, I think you’re in SE Asia or somewhere.

Incidentally, frequent commenter “Talha” has an interesting comment on this topic (raising children in an exterior climate hostile to good sense and moral values) in AE’s Chaz column. I was going to write a response highlighting several aspects but doubt I’ll get around to it. But if you’re planning on raising children in the US the points he brings up are definitely worth thinking about.

SE Asia on the other hand, along with South and East Asia, seems a more sensible place, at least in this one respect. Parts of SE Asia of course have their own cultural or political lunacies (hello Vietnam), but they are not going to try to indoctrinate children of expats.

Thanks for asking. The live television coverage of the May 30 riot “kept it real” because they had a petite female Asian reporter on the street who was obviously scared. Then they swapped her out for a white guy who didn’t look as physically threatened.

However, in the aftermath of that, the interviews with the State Street businesses took the tack, “Whatever it takes to achieve social justice.” Then things died down for a while.

Maybe I shouldn’t have referred to a “sea change” so much as emphasized the negative media coverage of the current rioting.

In the picture where she is throwing the Molotov cocktail her hairstyle is similar to Bernstein. She is also wearing a surgical mask, most of the injuries to Bernstein’s her face are in the unprotected areas where a surgical mask wouldn’t be. The arsonist’s backpack has purple highlights; one might inquire whether Bernstein owns a similar backpack.

  278. Ok, so a group of drunk men in the dark hours of 1 am walk into the street to her driver side window and yell “Hey N….” at a woman so light skinned that I can’t tell she’s black and the spray her with lighter fluid and toss a zippo at her to light it. Then she pats it out easily and it doesn’t burn her hair or anything and she just drives home and waits to go to the hospital. She drove by 2 hospitals for sure according to her travel plan. I have been playing with lighter fluid yesterday and today and trying to put it out( not on myself obviously) and it ain’t easy to put out. The damage on her face looks like splash damage, because when I spray a pool and light it the whole pool flames up, not just a few spots.. Since when do classic WI frat boys wear all black? Never seen that. I hope this did not happen to her but something is very fishy.
