Roger Cohen AUG. 29, 2016In case you missed it, a significant political event took place last week in Jackson, Miss., where Donald Trump joined forces with Nigel Farage, the anti-immigrant leader of the successful campaign to take Britain out of the European Union.
… “If the little people, if the real people, if the ordinary decent people are prepared to stand up and fight for what they believe in, we can overcome the big banks, we can overcome the multinationals,” Farage declared with Trump looking on approvingly.
They are politicians delivering ugly messages — explicit and implicit. Theirs is the last hate-filled stand of the white man in societies that globalization has irrevocably changed in composition and color. They are self-centered and cynical, manipulating resentment with half-truths and untruths, accommodating the loony extremist right.

The lady in New York harbor has nothing to do with immigration, that little poem by Emma Lazarus was tacked on some years later. The statue was a gift from the French people on our hundredth birthday, in 1876. Her name is “Liberty Enlightening the World,” which is why she’s carrying a torch. What she’s enlightening the world with is shown on the book she’s holding in her left hand, marked “1776”–the ideals of the American Revolution and the Declaration of Independence. As amplified by Washington and Jefferson, these included no entangling alliances with other powers and no foreign wars. These are views much more aligned with Donald Trump’s position and the opposite of the position of the Queen of Chaos.
If Roger Cohen is offended by something, it must make sense, be reasonable, and not be destructive to the historic American nation.

The NY Times writer likes to give the impression that he is an enlightened “white” guy speaking out against the hateful rhetoric of the extreme right, but his name (((Cohen))) gives away his true perspective to those of us who are in the know. Only a matter of 5 or so years ago I was dumbfounded about how so many whites could be so hateful towards their own people. While I do acknowledge that there are some genuine whites who have absorbed this message and truly believe they are being virtuous by not taking their own side, the sordid history of how such perspectives came to be so widespread in our society has little to do with them. Rather, it has everything to do with a highly ethnocentric people who have despised European goyim in particular and viewed them with suspicion after every expulsion they experienced at the hands of “crazy hateful” Europeans hating for no apparent reason. I do not anticipate chin-tugging by Timothy Egan of the New York Times on the Deeper Meaning of the matter.
If we erase nations we erase cultures ant the World will become a mediocre mess.
Countries that excel set the pace for others. Only by having separate cultures, countries it is possible to create the freedom to allow countries to innovate socially, culturally, scientifically, economically.
Radical innovation can not occurr under one global culture because it will impose values, laws, institutions that make ratical innovation impossible. If we develop a world culture we will develop world government and laws.
Furthermore, as the majority of cultures of the World do not have the values and skills to create democracy, prosperity, freedom, rule of law and not rule of men, the elected wold rulers will not be the right ones because most voters do not understand what sort of leaders to ellect.
Cultural and economic globalization is total madness.

Blending achieves two things: conflict, until only one culture emerges. Which implies the neutralization into oblivion of all other cultures.
The liberals do not believe in an independent media or democracy. Countries that excel set the pace for others. Only by having separate cultures, countries it is possible to create the freedom to allow countries to innovate socially, culturally, scientifically, economically.
Radical innovation can not occurr under one global culture because it will impose values, laws, institutions that make ratical innovation impossible. If we develop a world culture we will develop world government and laws.
Furthermore, as the majority of cultures of the World do not have the values and skills to create democracy, prosperity, freedom, rule of law and not rule of men, the elected wold rulers will not be the right ones because most voters do not understand what sort of leaders to ellect.

You mean that actual diversity is the obverse of what is made to go by the name of “diversity”, and I agree.
You achieve diversity by not blending different cultures.
Blending achieves two things: conflict, until only one culture emerges. Which implies the neutralization into oblivion of all other cultures.
I never thought I'd live to see the day a Cohen became a realtalker right in the NYT. I agree with every word except 'hate' (we're phlegmatically slow to hate) and 'irrevocably.' Thanks to the impatience of the Cohanim, the whole thing is blowing wide open just before that planned irrevocability. Thus the sputtering rage from the NYT.

Good comment that also may be rhetorically promising: “You are harming people in pursuit of elite interests, tinged with racial animus. And, maybe you want to leave.”
Then he knows what he is talking about, just like being an MEP he can educate himself about the organisation by being in it. This funnily enough reminds me of James Goldsmith who founded UKIP, who was once part of the internationalist banker circle but had a crisis of faith, evident from his last and rather apocalyptical book he published before he died.
