From Bloomberg:

United Sued for Packing NFL Charters With Young, Blond Crews

Robert Burnson

September 12 2020 — United Airlines Holdings Inc. packs its charter flights for sports teams with young, blond crews and bars older flight attendants from working the plum routes, according to a new lawsuit. In so doing, the airline bases the value of workers “entirely on their racial and physical attributes, and stereotypical notions of sexual allure,” according to two veteran flight attendants who sued Friday in California. The attendants — a Black woman who has worked for the airline for 28 years and a Jewish woman with 34 years of tenure — say that they both tried repeatedly and unsuccessfully to get assigned to work the charter flights. …

United Airlines “has adopted and continues to implement procedures that are designed to ensure that young, white, blond/blue-eyed, female employees receive positions with the charter program, while more senior, and Black and Jewish employees such as plaintiffs, do not,” they said in the complaint.

  9. My SEC school had designated “hostesses” for various athletic teams. 90 percent blondes. I didn’t know about the practice until I worked with some of them in a cushy on-campus job I got through some random connections. Like the athletes themselves, I’m not sure how much class they actually attended between that envelope-stuffing job and their hostess duties. They also talked about playing golf a lot.

Is it only blue-eyed blondes that are a problem for the black lady and Jewish lady? Which is worse, blonde hair or blue eyes? What about blondes with green or brown eyes? Brunettes and redheads with blue eyes? Does anyone collect statistics on flight attendants’ eye color?

And on a related note, why are blackface and whites pretending to be black wrong, while brunettes, including blacks, dyeing their hair blond is okay? Isn’t hair dyeing and wig wearing a form of cultural appropriation? Why should fake blondes be allowed to have more fun?

I can’t remember the last time I saw young attractive stewardesses on one of the domestic carriers. There were various age discrimination lawsuits in the 70s and 80s and since then stewardesses on the domestic airlines have tended to be middle aged and matronly. It’s not uncommon to see senior citizen stewardesses. A 79 year old stewardess filed an age discrimination lawsuit against Delta after she was fired last year:

    https://www.insideedition.com/flight-attendant-79-suing-delta-air-lines-says-she-was-fired-because-of-her-age-57557

So I guess they still do have young attractive stewardesses. They just reserve them for the NFL, while ordinary passengers are attended by literal grandmothers.

Revealed preference is always telling, and Blacks have been revealing their preferences for a very long time:

The first difference which strikes us is that of colour. Whether the black of the negro resides in the reticular membrane between the skin and scarf-skin, or in the scarf-skin itself; whether it proceeds from the colour of the blood, the colour of the bile, or from that of some other secretion, the difference is fixed in nature, and is as real as if its seat and cause were better known to us. And is this difference of no importance? Is it not the foundation of a greater or less share of beauty in the two races? Are not the fine mixtures of red and white, the expressions of every passion by greater or less suffusions of colour in the one, preferable to that eternal monotony, which reigns in the countenances, that immovable veil of black which covers all the emotions of the other race? Add to these, flowing hair, a more elegant symmetry of form, their own judgment in favour of the whites, declared by their preference of them, as uniformly as is the preference of the Oran-utan [orangutan] for the black women over those of his own species. The circumstance of superior beauty, is thought worthy attention in the propagation of our horses, dogs, and other domestic animals; why not in that of man?

Let’s be brutally honest. The purpose of flight attendants is to make airline travel seem more pleasant and more glamorous. They can achieve that purpose best by being young, female and pretty.

Complaining that those dastardly Asian airlines only employ young pretty females in that rôle is like arguing that models or actresses should be frumpy overweight and middle-aged.

They’re flying waitresses. The only talent required is looking pretty.

Had to share this anti-Semitic joke: A plane is taking off. Everyone is strapped in. A little old Jewish lady is suddenly heard:”I’m so thirsty!” Again,”I’m so thirsty!” Over and over she complains,”I’m so thirsty!”
Finally the plane achieves altitude, the seatbelt sign goes off and a young stewardess rushes to the seat of the old lady with a tall glass of chilled water.
She watches with satisfaction as the old lady drinks the water.
As she is walking back to the galley, she hears the old lady:” I was so thirsty!! I was so thirsty!”
    😅

  25. @Alice in Wonderland

I think it’s the old black and jewish employees who are interested in good and hard. That’s the only I can think that one would want to work an airplane full of black guys too giant-sized to fit in their seats.

  26. @Bard of Bumperstickers

It doesn’t matter, hardly anyone will attend pro sports once spectators are allowed. Only those with the political consciousness of a knat will spend hundreds for seats, concessions, and parking to be told he or she is a racist and watch genetic freaks kneel for the national anthem.

  27. @vhrm

I agree with dfordoom. The purpose of stewardesses is to make flights feel more pleasant. Asking for old, fat stewardesses is like saying it’s just as pleasant to see a fat, old model in a TV commercial as to see a young, pretty model.

The reality is that it’s not only men who like being surrounded by young, pretty women. Women like it too. Everyone prefers pretty young women to fat old women. It’s just natural and probably related (though which the causation goes, I don’t know) to the fact that more women profess some degree of same-sex attraction than men.

The first time I flew on an Asian airline, I felt uncomfortable about the obvious hiring bias. But that was just from being conditioned to expect PC complaints by living in the USA. Now I’ve been living in Asia for a while, and it literally only took two or three flights before I became completely comfortable with the situation.

I don’t really feel bad for older women in Asia. The only ones I feel bad for are young women who are ugly. I’ve taught English to a number of high school and college girls who were trying to increase their chances of getting an airline stewardess job but were obviously just pursuing pipe dreams because of their looks. That is sad, but in a “we all die someday” way, not a “I didn’t get something I deserved” way.

“Civil rights” means no freedom of association. You cannot hire the employees you want. You cannot hire the people your customers want.

Except if the hirees are “minority” trans-gender Lesbian black Muslims, or similar minorities.

Asian countries are the ‘land of the free’. The boss hires who he wants and who would make his passengers happy. And you choose the tenants you like and you know the other tenants want as neighbors.

I was astonished that there are apartment buildings where Muslims are not allowed to own, rent, or even visit. Surely a method to reduce the danger of terror attacks. But unthinkable in the US of A.

However getting rid of people in their late-30s seems extreme to me (though i’ve read it’s been toned down some most places). Also it’s not all or nothing: Even in the US the airlines have BMI standards for example.

My point about the US flight attendants though is that i want competent and reasonably pleasant people with a customer service attitude and that’s what’s often missing.
Now that i think about it, cabin crew aren’t even the worst, just kind of bad.
    i’d probably order them as:
    1. cabin crew
    2. gate agents

    TSA;

My family and I were once refused access to the boarding gate by a TSA worker over a visa issue. We were carrying the necessary paperwork to resolve the issue, since it is a pretty common situation.

She didn’t argue that we were wrong, but since she didn’t know enough about her agency’s own regulations, she wouldn’t let us pass. Finally, a supervisor appeared, quickly looked over our paperwork, and told her there was no problem. She then started repeating brainlessly her concerns after the guy had just told her to just let us pass.

TSA must be some kind of employment scheme for the mentally-disabled. I will say that her supervisor seemed both competent and quietly frustrated with her stupidity. We ran like hell to catch our plane, which the airline was holding for us.

Wise choice. Last time I flew SAS, which admittedly was quite some time ago, the stewardesses were wrinkled old bats who didn’t seem to like their passengers at all. Perhaps the cart was heavy and they needed a nap.

At the time of writing, SAS furthermore appears to be very very close to bankruptcy. On the level of not refunding busted tickets that they promised to refund. Kind of embarrassing for a state carrier, but personally I think it’s time has come and gone. The Vikangz ad sort of hammered it home.

For example, back about 2013 I watched a pretty good James Brown biopic starring the late Chadwick Boseman, who was good. Then I came home and watched Youtube clips of Eddie Murphy in the 1980s as James Brown.

I disagree. It’s a fluke of history that there are female stewardesses.
When air travel was embryonic, there was a requirement to have trained medical staff on board. Every flight attendant was filling the role of nurse-in-residence. If they eg got you water, it was out of the goodness of their hearts rather than as a job tasking.
As air travel got faster and safer and more reliable, nurse-in-situ became less relevant and water-getting more relevant and its morphed into the modern stewardess

Of course half a century ago those young pretty flight attendants would have used their glamorous job to catch themselves very desirable husbands. By their late 30s they’d have been married with a couple of kids and no longer interested in working a job with insane hours and insane amounts of travelling.

Maybe like stewardesses working first class versus coach. THe ones working the crowded, slow, cattle class lines always were the sorts you perceive.

Yes, in this way, the people are more free in China than in America. It’s not that the people have this high-minded concept of Freedom of Association, “yeah, like that good old Amendment I in America!”

It’s just that common sense prevails, and the governments comprised of Chinese people do not purposefully try to screw over the Chinese people just to signal their virtuousness or just to screw em cause they hate ’em. If there’s money in it, that’s a different story …

If I remember correctly, you live in Japan, Chris. I don’t know about Japan, but I can tell you that in China, things have changed over the last decade or so. The flight attendants are not particularly hot, and there are at least 25% male ones, average, on the domestic flights there that I’ve been on. What a shame! I can’t tell you about their widebodies – hopefully they have slenderbodies working the flights.

Secondly, for the whole crowd here, it’s not like I don’t agree with the idea that United Airlines should be able to pick employees to work these flights as they see fit. However, the F/As working for U/A are in a union. EVERYTHING goes by seniority. I mean, it’s not like PEOPLE are even involved in picking who works which flights, as there are very well-made computer programs that allow bidding for everything regarding the trips and monthly schedules.

Maybe their charter flying is exempt from that bidding system. That’s the only thing I could see being the case, unless these 2 women got screwed over in the bidding via someone overriding the system.

    If only this were so.

Unfortunately, the sort of natural male impulses–team, protection, combat–common to patriots, are tapped by sports.

It would be great to see more men turn instead to hunting and fishing, playing competitive sports themselves and turning off the negrophilia. But i suspect when sports come back, they’ll still be a huge white audience–though eroded.

Funny story about Eddie Murphy, back in the late 70’s when SNL was casting the Garret Morris “black slot, a teenager named Eddie Murphy came in to audition, he was a stand up comic mostly in Long Island who had just left high school and had very little experience. He did OK, as did a few other guys. Then they called in this guy… (a few years before this clip):

and he blew Lorne Michaels away with his audition, all ad-libbed the type of stuff the do on SNL and he was a comedic genius, the next big thing.

They had a round of second audition, and the kid from Long Island, again, showed potential, but again, they were blown away by Charlie Barnett who went on to play Noogie on Miami Vice. So they were ready to offer him a contract. There was only one chink in Barnett’s armor, and only one thing Eddie Murphy could do better than he.

There were a few days of back and forth discussion as to whether Barnett’s one disability as a comic would be something they could overcome. Finally, the looked at the tapes and decided it wasn’t, so they said, Darn! If Charlie can’t be a castmember who else do we have?

Well, that young kid, what’s his name? Murphy, he has a little potential, maybe if we work with him…

so they signed Eddie Murphy, and the rest is history?

What was Charlie Barnett’s, the man who blew Eddie Murphy away at the SNL audition, disability as a TV sketch comedian?

    He couldn’t read.

Hostesses were sent by university football coaches to entertain, flirt, and have sex with potential recruits. Basically prostitution, in service of getting highly ranked football prospects from high schools.

The sad thing is that a lot of White father (especially in the South) actively encouraged their daughters to join these programs. It’s really insane when you think about it.

If there’s a silver lining to all this, it’s that the gross abuses (especially violent rapes) have now killed most of these hostess programs.

The group was disbanded at the end of the 2016 football season.

    SEC dissolves student athletic recruiters

Student athletic recruiters, who serve as hosts for athletic recruits visiting campus for events, will soon cease to exist at Auburn.

Due to recent legislation passed by the SEC, only employees, graduate assistants or student-athletes of that sport may be hosts for these events.

    https://newbrunswicktoday.com/2018/02/28/rutgers-university-football-program-on-probation-for-ncaa-violations/

In addition to the small fine and two-year probation, the university also agreed to accept several recruiting restrictions, submit compliance reports to the NCAA, and to publicize the violations.

Rutgers also ended its “hostess” program, where “Scarlet Ambassadors” were paid by the Athletics Department to show recruits around campus.

The NCAA had alleged that the program “was not properly operated and supervised as required by NCAA legislation,” and from now on, the school is “prohibited from organizing any student group to exclusively assist in recruiting student-athletes.”

A typically exhaustive NCAA investigation into Oklahoma State football reached its conclusion Friday, with the Cowboys football program receiving a punishment from the NCAA that is tantamount to dumping a bottle of Aquafina into the Pacific Ocean. MU cuts athletic hostess group

Several members of MU’s outbound Tiger Hostess program say its merger this fall with the campus’ Visitor Relations Tour Team might make athletic recruitment too impersonal.

“You make friends with the recruit, you spend a lot of time with them and make them feel comfortable with Mizzou,” said sophomore Alicia Hammond, who would have been a Tiger Hostess this fall. “The change is not necessarily a bad thing, but it won’t have the same effect this year.”

In the past few years, many schools have done away with hostess programs. The Bama Belles, Auburn’s Tigerettes, and Tennessee’s Orange Pride are no more. In an email, a Baylor spokeswoman said the Bruins also have folded and that the school’s admissions department now handles hosting duties.

The Texas Aggies had an official hostess program that was active a few years ago, but they seem to have been defunct since late 2017. Here’s a Tweet from their account. They haven’t Tweeted anything since late 2017.

USC has a host/hostess program, but it’s mixed gender (“brother organization”). It’s also more focused on community service than just purely hosting.

As she is walking back to the galley, she hears the old lady:” I was so thirsty!! I was so thirsty!”

He went into cardiac arrest and a female flight attendant started CPR, middle seat of three. The seat back was flopping back and forth as she applied compressions. 1. why are you always complaining? The game of American Football is dull, boring, nothing happens all the time, the players are fat & ugly- in other words, a disaster. Basketball is a fine game (never mind other aspects); water polo, handball, association football are heads & shoulders above this “game” where basically nothing happens. If girls are attracted to these cartoons, they may as well be attracted to clowns.

The mere male physique of a water polo player as compared to American football player …. pooh.

    2. flight attendants should be capable professionals & nothing else. They are not porn stars in the making. In fact, overt sexualization of females has birthed: precipitous fall in birth rates; infidelity & global whoredom; disintegration of nuclear family; all variants of feminism; woke, metoo etc. cultures. It has poisoned innumerable male & female brains in pursuit of a pornified worthless life which is, given the realities of human physique & aging – unattainable.

    3. it has brainwashed-it seems that media are telling this- many young female brains into instilling a completely unnatural desire to screw some forms of Homo Erectus which are, naturally, only repulsive to most females with some Neanderthal gene sequence (you’ll always find outliers, but they don’t matter, statistically).

I am not saying that a desire to screw, say, Gable, Elvis, Brando, Nicholson, Beatty, Di Caprio … has nothing to say about the lower depths of female sexual desire, but it could be controlled & channeled to productive ares.

It’s nothing but growing bestiality in the female psyche. Because, for all what they are & are not, blacks are the symbol not of victory, dominance, reliability- but of sexual bestiality which must is the ultimate “raw deal”. If so, why are there so little womanizers, comparable to Flynn or Omar Sharif or Eastwood or Pitt…

Eros has forgotten them & they’re just cashing on white people’s projections. As I’ve said, partially, in another comment::: I can offer from what I’ve seen when I was living in the US a) liberal college white females are “curious” about blacks (men) due to many elements (sports influence, popular culture, media,..); traditional Christian women generally – not much. Also, class-wise, Americans seem to follow what their media tell them to want & urban career females are more money-wealth oriented than other whites outside of Anglosphere (I don’t know about Asians like Chinese or Indians). From what I’ve seen Americans, on average, drink too much & those who are wasted may engage into casual sex more frequently (I’ve seen this in northern parts of Europe, too).. Also- I know this is exaggeration, but still…- they seem to be erotically dull, especially liberal white females, ready for quickies. They are not erotic gourmands, so to speak. They don’t know how to enjoy erotic life. It is like whisky compared to exquisite wine. As for black women, I don’t have much experience with them, but I think they mostly don’t care for white men because they don’t see them as sexually charged. And I have to repeat what I’ve already said: media rules. White male stars are principal womanizers, from Flynn, Gable, Sinatra..to Brando, Elvis, Beatty, Eastwood, Di Caprio. As regards black men- I also didn’t interact with them much, but here is what is my impression: for many blacks, white woman, any white woman, is the gold standard & the prize; for black intellectuals or educated black men, there are two types of behavior: one type is normal men who want women, children, family…and while race factor is present, the central one is are they in love & what do they want in life; for “professional blacks”, or educated blacks with chip on shoulder, they prefer attractive white women just to get back at “da man” who see such liaisons as some kind of defilement of white women.

As far as erotic attraction goes, one should be deaf, blind & mute not to see one thing: media influence on female erotic attraction. That’s why many women have been attracted to Sinatra, Di Caprio, ..or Clark Gable in olden days. Too many women (men?) begin to desire what TV & movies & music industry imply or suggest they should desire. So, the “natural” attraction is, at least from what I’ve seen in the US, vastly skewed in favor what popular culture says them to want.

I’ll believe it when I see it. For some reason I cannot understand, White men are attracted to black athletes to the point of worshipping them.

Ugly repulsive creatures chasing balls who hate and despise their White fans.

Don’t mean to start an argument, but feminism is against pretty women nice hair styles, make up, nice clothes any and all things women do to make themselves more attractive.

Feminism is also anti men and anti heterosexual sex. Pro frumpiness dowdyness and consider a black pantsuit the epitome of dress up elegance. Most of their clothes come from the men’s department of LL Bean. Feminism is anti sex.

You’re sure in a bad mood. And what does football have to do with global whoredom, male movie stars and feminism? Feminists don’t like football. Some years ago feminists claimed watching football caused men to beat their wives. Feminists don’t like football because it’s about the only all male sport left. Feminists don’t like professional and college sports because most of the fans are men. Football and feminists just don’t go together. Feminists don’t like men and football is a male monopoly

Singapore Airlines flight attendants look like they were selected from an imperial harem. They are way better looking than average. They also party like wild animals when they get the opportunity (e.g. on layover in Shanghai).

I’ve lived in America, too long for my taste.

All sport games are, essentially, infantile. They are a sure sign of prolonged immaturity of mostpeople. But- such is humankind.

As for American football, it is not a cause of anything, but a symptom of low taste & dullness. If you’re offered, say, a delicious food/water polo, handball, ….. and choose McDonalds/American “football” instead – sorry, but you’re doomed. Even among infantiles there is a gradation.

  150. @Bardon Kaldian

The mere male physique of a water polo player as compared to American football player …. pooh.

You’re enjoying the athletes’ physique? Hockey players don’t wear revealing clothes, but nobody cares for their bodies, anyway…it’s about a puck and two nets…

    >Not an anti-Semitic joke. It’s an old Yiddish joke, well over a century old.

    This.

The poisonous hypersensitivity against which the Sailertariat rail hourly struck me by surprise in O’Hara’s comment, but I guess shouldn’t have. Micks standing up for yids in full Virtue Signal Preening Mode sounds like a Chicagoland or Metro NYC City Council meeting…. Not exactly rare.

The best collection of jokes of this sort that I have came from based old jews in the Northeast and Chicago. I knew an old jewish low-tier mobster who once boxed a kangaroo to win an expensive derby hat. He had hundreds of jokes. (I also knew a wop petty mobster who once boxed a kangaroo to win an expensive hat. I quickly concluded that mobsters boxing kangaroos for hats–in the Northeast in the 1950s–was a meme.)

    Some that don’t have…bedroom…connotations:

What did the waiter at the jewish country club say to the table of Hadassah gals gathered for lunch?
    “Is anything OK?”

It was Benji’s 12th birthday and his mom bought him two ties, what with him soon turning 13 and the parties to plan for also. To surprise and please his mom, Benji chooses to wear one of his ties to dinner that night. Momeleh looks him up and down at the dinner table and says, “What, you didn’t like the other one?”

So a rabbi and Catholic priest are standing on the sidewalk outside the Lutheran congregation as Sunday service lets out. Each have donation jars in front of them and a sign, “Your donations help the poor in our community.” As the Lutherans leave, many donate generously to the priest’s jar but not so much to the rabbi’s jar. At some point one of the helpful Lutherans notices this inequity, leans over, and says quietly, “Rabbi, I notice you’re not getting as many donations. May I make a few observations? First, people see the two jars and put money in the first one, but not the second one. You could swap positions periodically to take turns being the first jar they see. Or it might help, rabbi, if you went down the street and stood in front of the deli where some of us go for Sunday brunch. Lutherans feel very generous when hungry and even more so when full.” The priest turns to the rabbi and says, “Oy, Moishe, the nerve of this heretic, telling us how to do business!”

So the Catholic church has a sign out front on Ash Wednesday, saying, “Special conversion bonus, today only: $500 for any jew who converts to our faith!” Sol and Sadie are walking past, and Sol reads the sign, runs into the church…and comes out with five Benjamins fanned out in his hand, schmutz on his forehead, and a head damp from holy water. Sadie is shocked and horrified. “How could you do this! You turned your back on your faith, your family, your people–all for a handful of money–and a piddling $500 at that!” Sol looks at her with disdain and says, “What is it with you people anyway–everything’s always about money!”

Also PJ O’Rourke’s classic, but you can dig that out for yourself.

LOLOLOL. Oh you wacky c olored boyz–or whatever it is you are.

Yeah, that’s why turd-colored untalented midget Spike Lee, not very long ago, made then change the name of the Directors Guild award from the D.W. Griffith Award because of Griffith’s 1915 movie.

And just last year, Bowling Green University in Ohio removed immortal actress Lillian Gish’s name from a theater that Gish had endowed with her own money, because of Gish’s crime in appearing in the 1915 movie.
