A hate crime is under investigation in east Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police in east Charlotte are actively searching for a man accused of lighting an arson fire and leaving behind a disturbing note.
Investigators tell NBC Charlotte the incident is being investigated as a hate crime. The letter threatened to torture the refugee business owner of Central Market on Albemarle Road.

Police say the letter was signed “White America,” but the suspect is a black man.
The fire at the front door eventually burned itself out, but the letter is still fanning the flames. It references President Trump, then goes on to threaten the store owner with torture if he doesn’t “go back where he came from.”
“Scared for my life because the letter shows that warning,” says Kamal Dhimal, owner of Central Market.
Police believe the letter was signed “White America” by an African-American suspect shown in video surveillance. Investigators say he threw a brick through the door, entered the store, and set the door on fire.

James Johnson of the National Action Network [founded by Al Sharpton] stood flanked by relatives of a shoplifting suspect Monday, then pointed behind him toward a convenience store and told reporters the business’s employees need to “go back to their country.”
The civil rights leader’s comments came during a news conference he organized to address a cellphone video from Andrew’s Discount Market. The recording shows its employees hitting the suspect with a sword and pushing him around the store.
Johnson, who is black, referred to employees of the North Charleston store as “Arab” and “foreigner” and questioned if they are in the country legally.
“We want (the store owner) out of our community completely. We want him gone out of the community,” Johnson, the state president of NAN, said near the Dorchester Road business. “They need to go back to their country where their laws are different from our laws.”
Tyrone Deon Mazyck, 38, was arrested and charged with shoplifting after the March 29 incident. The owner of the convenience store said Mazyck threatened and fought with three employees after trying to steal incense.
Who among us hasn’t been overwhelmed by the urge to have some incense right now?
The store’s owner, who identified himself only as Alex, said Mazyck started the altercation by pushing the clerks and cutting them with a knife.
Seriously, what’s the deal with incense? Why do discount markets carry incense? I’ve gone through life assuming that if I really needed to obtain some incense I’d have to find a passing Magi, or at least a Roman Catholic Church supply warehouse.
And you know what? I was okay with that.

Anyway, my self-chosen reality at that particular moment (it’s sort of like an Event Horizon) in the space-time foam (where everything is relative) was as the caped villain “White America”. That’s who I chose to self-identify with right then. That was my chosen ethnic and civic Identity. It’s the difference between Sein and Dasein. I chose design because of my interest in Hip-Hop fashion and style.
So, I did not misrepresent the truth as I felt it then. I think there’s lots of lawyers who would be willing to argue this before the Supreme Court. I think the Honourable Court would give such a view as mine a respectful hearing.
I might very well win.
Was it stamped and signed by a notary public? If not, that’s forgery. One could also tell it’s a forgery by the fact that “white America”, were it to commit arson, would use proper accelerant and fuel, and not put the note right next to our fire. But, that’s just us.

If he had signed it “Black America” it would have 1) served as a more probable threat to the shop owner 2) kept it out of the news.
Which raises an obvious question, how long until the serious white lunatics (as opposed to twitter trolls doing it for yucks) decide they ought to false-flag against immigration as BLM?

Re: incense. The main reason any person I’ve known has bought incense is to cover up the smell of marijuana use (or some other potent smelling drugs). Mostly pot, though.

Good deduction skills. But no, I’m not naive to the ways of the brothers. Prior to this, I’ve always lived right near some projects, in some borough, lived in all of them. These experiences have brought me to the iSteve universe. I have no illusions, but this one is different, there’s more information that supports my understanding. Example, when he moved in, at times there’d be very loud music played some nights. My knocking on the door at 1am was ignored. But I did mention it a few days later, turns out his ghetto sister stays there sometimes (when he has night shifts) she being the true sister you envision. The music hasn’t been an issue since.
