While, as we all know, Black moms have Black bodies, white moms only have white flesh.

How America weaponizes motherhood

By Lyz Lenz
July 30, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. PDT

In Portland, Ore., a group of moms are being tear gassed as they join protesters demonstrating against racial inequality and police misconduct.

Linking arms and positioning themselves between the police and protesters, the “Wall of Moms” chant, “Moms are here! Fed stay clear!”

The group was founded by Bev Barnum, a Portland mom, who told BuzzFeed News that she had the idea to form the group after seeing a social media video of federal agents detaining protesters. Her idea was to use her body, her status as a mother, as a shield between police and protesters. …

The experience of motherhood in America is a political question just as much as it is a question of flesh. We allow white mothers a sainthood not extended to other types of mothers. …

Historically, white motherhood has been used as a cover for inciting racist policies, white flight and school segregation. In “Mothers of Massive Resistance,” Elizabeth Gillespie McRae lays bare how white women have used the term “mother” to justify racial segregation and Jim Crow laws….

Recently, President Trump used similar pearl-clutching language to attempt to prey upon the sanctimony of white motherhood. He moved to repeal a fair-housing rule he claimed would turn nice white suburban towns into crime-ridden cities. It’s a racist appeal, one that signals that the suburban home and its idealistic purity is at threat of an angry Black mob. It’s a trope he’s used before in another way, with his multiple claims that Hispanic men are “rapists” and that Americans had to stop them from coming into our country. The dog whistle is always the purity and sanctity of white women, who get to be pure, who get to be holy and who get to be virtuous as mothers.

America also scorns single mothers. I learned this firsthand when I divorced three years ago.

As I’ve pointed out before, Ms. Lenz is a sad lady who believes in the SJW dogmas because it gives her somebody else to blame for her problems.

Meanwhile … the Democrats’ Coalition of the Fringes circular firing squad is further in action. From Oregon Live,

Portland’s Wall of Moms crumbles amid online allegations by former partner, Don’t Shoot PDX
Updated 6:11 PM; Today 3:50 PM

By Alex Hardgrave | The Oregonian/OregonLive

Portland Wall of Moms, a group formed in recent weeks and quickly recognized as a staple of nightly downtown protests, was accused publicly Wednesday of “anti-Blackness” by leaders of an existing, Black-led community group.

Wall of Moms, whose members said they aimed to support and protect other Black Lives Matter protesters near the fence in front of the federal courthouse, announced Friday that its white leadership had rescinded their positions to allow women of color to be in charge. New leaders announced Friday include Teressa Raiford, executive director of Don’t Shoot Portland, Demetria Hester and Danialle James.

But less than a week later, Don’t Shoot Portland took to Instagram to urge people against supporting the Wall of Moms, saying that it was no longer working with the moms group.

“The lies are finally clear and we are sad but ultimately not surprised that anti-Blackness showed its ugly head,” read the post published on Wednesday by Don’t Shoot Portland, a local Black Lives Matter and mutual aid group founded in 2014.

The Wednesday post alleges that Wall of Moms founder Bev Barnum filed for business registrations without consulting the newly instated Black leaders and that the safety of Black members at the nightly protests in downtown Portland was overlooked.

The post said that issues of Black mothers’ safety have only come to light in the past 24 hours.

Barnum appeared to file three business registrations on Tuesday including one that makes The Wall of Moms a 501c3 nonprofit. Don’t Shoot Portland interpreted the filings to mean that Wall of Moms goal was to get federal officers out of Portland — not to support Black Lives Matter, according to the Instagram post. The newly instated Black leaders were not told about the registrations, according to the post.

“None of the Black leadership WOM claimed to implement knew about this,” the Wednesday post reads. “Combined with the lack of care for Black women, we were used to further the agenda unrelated to BLM.”

Don’t Shoot Portland’s statement was retweeted on Twitter by the Wall of Moms’ official Twitter account.

The Wall of Moms answered a commenter’s question saying, “The founder went rogue. Many of us do not agree with her decisions. And she does not currently have access to this account.”

This sounds like the kind of announcement you’d hear on Third World countries’ national radio stations during chaotic 1970s coups when The Captains in turn overthrow The Colonels who just overthrew The Generals:

“Compadres, ignore what the traitor Colonel Menendez told you on this radio station yesterday. He has been shot by order of La Junta de los Capitanes. Remain calm and await further official announcements on Revolution Radio.”

It’s almost as if the Democrats’ Coalition of the Fringes needs straight whites to hate to have a hope of hanging together.

Quotes from a message board about the clash:

“Also demetria hester a woman of color who was a big part of the WOM & had a run-in with Jeremy Christian the day before he killed two people says agents tried to take her last night and that Bev left her to save her own skin. Demetria says other moms came out to help her and she got home safe. POC are being banned from the group for speaking out.”

Bev Barnum is the founder of Wall of Moms.

Another post: “I’ve been super concerned about Wall of Moms because of their twitter posts. They’re deep into conspiracy theories. Less than a week ago they posted on Twitter (paraphrasing) they “have it on good authority” that ‘federal agents would use live ammunition on the crowd tonight” and “people should come with ballistic vests and helmets.”

    Heh.

  6. All you have to do is watch a few Tommy Sotomayor videos (banned from Youtube long ago of course) to get a more accurate picture of black single motherhood.

  53. The sheer hatred and envy of white motherhood from nonwhites and white misfits is really a sight to behold. IMO, it’s not about slavery, Emmett till, Jim Crow, or even Donald Trump. It’s about the fact that every time a large flag goes up on the edge of town where a cow pasture used to be, you can safely bet that in a couple short years there will be a thriving white community with high trust, low crime, “good schools,” clean and safe parks, and many new businesses wanting to get in on the action.

Sure, you can make fun of them for engaging in white flight and trading in their established communities for bland, far away SUV farms, but deep down you know that the sacrifices they made were a small price to pay to get away from…YOU.

Most frustrating of all: creating these new communities will be effortless. These nonwhite women can only watch as the Karens and Beckys build strong communities literally from scratch, and without even thinking about it.

Obama turns John Lewis funeral into DNC event, wants automatic voter registration, end to ‘Jim Crow relic’ filibuster

It did not take long for the funeral of John Lewis to turn political as former President Barack Obama’s eulogy evolved into a campaign speech, where he recommended ending the Senate filibuster and blasted voter ID laws.

Watching Obama speak at Thursday’s funeral, it would be easy to think you were watching a campaign speech as opposed to a eulogy.

He urged the Senate and Congress to pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act, legislation that would make it harder for states to enact measures like voter ID laws, which Democrats have long called restrictive and racially motivated. It would give the federal government more oversight on what voting reforms states may enact.

“Once we pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, we should keep marching,” Obama said, then calling for an end to the filibuster in order to get legislation passed.

There were $1,300.00 bottles of Armagnac right there on the shelf – you could just pick one up and throw it into your cart if you wanted it. But in the same place and in the same aisle all of the bottles of Hennessy – even the very small ones – were behind lock and key in a glass case.

That’s astonishing. For some obscure reason, the street value of upmarket Armagnac must be low in those parts. Maybe a truckload of it overturned somewhere.

Hopefully not kneeling on the child’s neck for upboats.—

Took a minute for my anger and disgust to settle upon the correct individual ultimately responsible for that little reenactment.
Thanks mom, great judgement! So edgy with that ‘humor’. A regular laugh riot there, Alice….

You should re-write Neil Young’s “Cortez the Killer” into a ‘tribute’ to AOC.

The Dads of UNZ are normal Dads. Liberal Dads are a whole nother thing.

Gee, I wonder if the Nice White Ladies are realizing throwing white males under the bus didn’t really do them any good?

Women generally don’t understand cause and effect very well. Or at all.

If “integration” is so great, why does it require government force?

That’s what Bostonians asked Franklin Pierce in 1854, when his agents invaded their city to kidnap Anthony Burns.

“I hate to speak ill of the dead but Cain was an idiot. A 74 year old cancer survivor attending that Trump rally in Tulsa with 6000 other people was incredibly stupid”

Lying in bed, swaddled under snug facediaper and welding goggles, eschewing all human contact is worse than death for most people. Cain was heeding the now-famous maxim of our Very Special times:

    Get Out Live Life!

    Bless him.

I’m still waiting for someone to tell me what White women did to throw White males under the bus.

Interestingly, I wonder how many black mothers use their Black Motherhood to defend their sons who have just been charged with assault, rape, and murder.

This! Black mothers (and never White mothers) are constantly used to humanize perpetrators of egregious crimes. I don’t suppose there’s anything wrong with that. Mothers certainly deserve to be heard from, but then don’t sit there and tell me that White mothers enjoy special status or sanctity that black mothers don’t.

Good one -beaten here in the race for low-hanging strange fruit, but will belatedly and cringingly suggest that the Knoxville Horror was merely a “flesh” wound.

Same Zeitgeist as now, different intensity. Although the Left’s projects were moving along nicely in the 1970s, I more acutely sensed the tide turning in the 1990s, when the World War II generation started falling off the cliff. The Boomers became our new elders—i.e., the torch went from Greatest Generation to Least Great Generation.
