Forget About Jussie Smollett’s Fake Noose Lynching, the Atlantic Has Just Gotten Word of Stunning Late-Breaking News: Johnson Chesnut Whittaker was Lynched in 1880!

In 1880, Johnson Chesnut Whittaker, one of the earliest black cadets at West Point, was found bound, gagged, and unconscious in his room. He had been slashed with a knife; pages of his Bible were found torn and strewn around the room. Whittaker had been ostracized by white students, who now insisted that he had made the whole thing up. The school decided that a threatening letter Whittaker had received matched his own handwriting, and that he had fabricated the entire incident to make West Point look bad.

By the way, The Daily Show just put out a video in the form of a trailer for an upcoming Lifetime cable movie, staring their gnomelike resident gay-black correspondent (talentless, other than his intersectionality). Not really funny, but here it is:

  2. Is that a Target Express in the background? There aren’t that many of those. Yet.

I’m sure TJ Maxx and Petco are glad to be “product-placed”, because, hey, there is no such thing as bad publicity.

  3. I hate to wade right in without addressing the topic, but we need to talk about R-Kelly’s shenanigans instead of only having our fun with Smollet.

The R-Kelly stuff is real lurid, grab the popcorn whilst you hawp at the gory train-wreck level stuff….

Oh, man…. This should play between awards at The Jussies. Let the healing begin.

2019: The year popularity of the baby name “Jussie” finally levels off.

  6. Oh my god!

This just goes to show how homophobic blacks are. Jussie was trying to teach us that lesson. Thank you Jussie, for your wisdom.

  9. Gaypac? Tugay? Gupac? We need a neon nickname here.

  10. Kirt says:

OK, but isn’t that just 3 different guys having a little fun spoofing how Jussie and the brothers must have rehearsed the attack? Or am I applying too rigidly the principle of don’t disbelieve anything until you see it on youtube?

  11. It would be fun to hear these Bleach Boys cover “When I Grow Up to Be a Man”.

Even for the Negroes, this effete ‘gay’ hoax held the subway.

    “Why me?”
    Enough said.

Hey, hey, hey, this is big time racial misappropriation of the Three Stooges.
I don’t care what LinManuel did with Hamilton, this crap has got to stop.

They filmed it in blackface overseas in Nigeria?
    Oh OK.
    Never mind.

    Absolutely magnificent.

    @San Fernando Curt

For many years now, I’ve been quite partial to the “most-obvious-offensive-pun” style of joke.

“Gaypac” is a perfect moniker for AIPAC.

Gold. It feels like it could or maybe should involve Jonah Hill somehow.

  19. Clyde says:

lulz…. Complete with horrible Nigerian accents. Dayum! The bros are emptying out a whole gallon of bleach on Juicy. This should have been on SNL rating would have soared.

You mean you actually WATCHED empire!??……now don’t you feel a little ashamed?

  24. @Libertine75

OK. Now we need Beach Boys parodies.

“Wouldn’t it be nice if we were smarter
And we hadn’t been busted so fast
    Having planned the hoax together
We could chill in the Arctic blast”

“Help me, De’o’Sh’a’wn’tae, help, help me, De’o’Sh’a’wn’tae,
Help me get my salary right . . . ”

I can’t do this, but someone can.

Oh, how ’bout “Little Douche Coup”?

Fun fun fun ’til 5-0 takes the cover story away . . . ?

Dick Tracy’s pickin’ up bad vibrations
    He’s issuing felony citations . . .

  25. Salvation by Faith? Nah. By Works? Nah. By Humor? Yeah. A people that can laugh at themselves are on the road to Grace. Bless these dudes.

  26. Jack D says:

I think the Nigerian accents are real. Idriss is a Nigerian name and he even uses Nigerian grammar in his title. However, I thought that the actors did a good job on the fake cracker accents.

  28. Mr. Anon says:

Steve has been proposing that for some time now. Maybe somebody on De Blasio’s staff is an isteve reader.

  29. TheJester says:

I’m confused. Is Jussie Smollett “black” (I thought he was Jewish) … or, is this just another racist trope about victimization similar to what Barack Obama used to promote his political career? Why do mulattos, given a choice, always seem to choose the lowest common denominator in their background — the one declaring their victimization? Indeed, if Barack Obama was ever a victim, I’m missing something crucial about his life. Same for Jussie Smollett.

Why don’t Barack Obama and Jussie Smollett “man up” and simply declare they are white with a right to White Privilege and all that allegedly goes with it? Then, their victimization disappears in a wisp of smoke and they can get on with their lives.

Oh, right! Being “white” is not politically correct these days. It pays better to hide your white origins and white cultural heritage and declare yourself a victimized foundling from an alien race and an alien culture.

Rachel Dolezal was on to something …!

Isn’t Idriss a generic Muslim name?

  34. holy moly says:

I have never disrespected anyone who was black in my life
i’ve worked with black men and women
one of the best engineers i ever worked with was a true southern black gentleman
I’ve competed with black men in high school track
I brought my friends over to my house who were black kids but that made no difference to me or my parents
    they were my friends
this whole affair is amazing to me
we will have no country left if we cannot learn to live together and respect each other as human beings first and as country men and women second
    i’ve said my piece
sorry if anyone is put off by my comments but not really
we have to have some civility in discourse
    oh one more thing
if you think any politician cares about you or your plight
you are living on a monopoly board
    do not pass go
    do not collect 200 dollars
enjoy whats left of the weekend and enjoy life
it is a wonderful gift after all

  35. @Lex

Yes, good point. But still funny to watch.

  36. These are the type of black guys who would seem to get along well with this crowd. It’s a cheesy sentiment, but it’s a feel good moment.
