UPDATE: I now have the full story behind Joe Biden’s unexpected speech yesterday about corpse rape, and, yeah, the demographics of the necrophiliac psycho killer and his victim who caught Joe’s imagination are what readers of @ColinFlaherty — but not watchers of “Law & Order” — would expect.

The Democrats and media are almost unanimously agreed that they will package Joe Biden this fall as a boring, calm, reassuring candidate. The only dissenter is Biden, who sees himself as a man full of surprises who might say anything, whether it’s Thomas Edison not inventing the lightbulb or the following disturbing anecdote:

What the hell was that, Joe? The opening scene of some low budget slasher movie screenplay you’ve alway wanted to pitch to Hollywood?

As I’ve been pointing out, with his vanity and lack of filter, the second-most Trump-like man in American politics is Biden. One difference, though, is that with Trump it’s usually pretty obvious at all times which angle he’s working when he brings something up.

But with Biden, a lot that spills out of his mouth seems less than calculated, just something that he suddenly felt the need to get off his chest. I presume that Monday’s excessively-detailed story about the necrophiliac madman was in service to some focus-grouped campaign theme like more money for veterans’ mental health services, but, Joe, please, Too Much Information.

Dwight L. Smith Jr.

UPDATE: Colin Flaherty points out the story behind Joe’s story. From Delaware Online:

Ex-soldier sentenced in rape, murder case

Army veteran gets life sentence for killing 65-year-old Marsha Lee as she walked her dog in 2011.

Jessica Masulli ReyesT he News Journal

An Army veteran has been given two life sentences without parole plus five years after pleading guilty but mentally ill to raping and killing a woman walking her dog in Brandywine Hills.

Dwight L. Smith Jr., 28, ran down Marsha Lee, 65, of Wilmington with his red SUV in December 2011 while she was walking her dog. He then threw her into his vehicle and drove off, according to authorities.

Never specifically mentioned in the text of any articles I’ve seen, but figure-outable from photos and or mentions of the victim’s synagogue is that the psycho killer was black and the woman victim was white.

Perhaps out of respect for the dead, the articles also tend to skip over the corpse rape part that seized Joe’s imagination.

Creepy Joe has survived many grave challenges, like having the top of his head removed…

So he will hang on and even appear to thrive until his sudden death on January 22nd, 2021.

He and his ramblings will be sorely missed under the administration of Mistress Harris.

  4. Wake up says:

I can’t imagine Biden debating Trump. He will get thoroughly trashed, and I get a feeling his Campaign will look for a way to avoid all debates.

  5. Maybe he’s just trying to attract attention. If he gets his name in the news a lot, it counters the image that he’s holed up in his basement.

I’m hoping for the 4-hour debate on Joe Rogan. That would finish him.

  6. Polynikes says:
    @Wake up

I’ve been saying that for a while, but I think he’ll go through one highly scripted debate where the media runs interference and he has the questions beforehand. The challenger is always perceived to do well in the first one, and he has a very low bar to get over with current expectations.

It’ll be a media ambush of Trump with Biden’s corpse watching from the other podium.

The bummer is that I heard that since moving to Texas, Joe doesn’t get baked with his guests. With Biden no one could really tell.

I believe the DNC used a deepfake mash-up to do his “stellar” convention speech. With Creepy Joe phoning it in, so to say, how can we be sure they don’t deepfake the debates.

    I’m for a Lincoln-Douglas debate format.

    Wikipedia:

“Each debate lasted 3 hours. The format was that one candidate spoke for 60 minutes, then the other candidate spoke for 90 minutes, and then the first candidate was allowed a 30-minute rejoinder.”

This would produce at least three salutary effects:

    1. There would be no obnoxious CNN/MSNBC airhead moderators with their fingers on scale.
    2. The debates would produce enough material of outrageous hilarity for Saturday Night Live to last until the end of millennium.
    3. Both candidates would present themselves as unfit to hold any office higher than dog catcher. The election-process for the office of the U.S. Presidency would be declared unworkable and thus abolished. The Presidency would be filled by a person from a random pick out of the Peoria, Illinois telephone book, a vast improvement over what we’ve had for at least a hundred years.

  14. Biden has always had a tendency to say strangely inappropriate things. Now this is combined with some level of senility. In politics that’s the equivalent of a power keg next to an open flame.

I seriously don’t know why Democrats schedule any live speaking events for him. I would just brazen it out with only recorded events in front of a hand picked audience until November. Between his lead in the polls and the interference the MSM would give, you gotta figure that’s enough to get him across the finish line.

John Boehner used to cry at the drop of a hat, which I found rather ridiculous until I read that he had had some sort of brain injury or illness and that crying easily is a not-uncommon characteristic (I then recalled knowing someone years ago who had a similar condition and tendency to cry inappropriately). I’ve also known people with epilepsy who seem to blurt things out, seemingly without being able to control it. Didn’t Biden have serious brain aneurysms many years ago, and didn’t his son died of brain cancer? It’s perfectly reasonable to assume that Biden’s mental capacity has declined precipitously, not merely because of his age, but due to a genetic predisposition and prior trauma.

    The riots didn’t stop.

They continue towards the suburbs of Milwaukee and attacked a house of man who is a supporter of President Trump.

The Trump supporter who tried to defend his home has reportedly been arrested after pulling a gun on a mob of Black Lives Matter supporters who were surrounding his home for several hours.

It is currently unclear who the man is or why the mob was at his house, but he did have a “Trump Train” flag hanging outside.

In livestream footage of the incident, the mob is clearly seen stepping on to the man’s property.

“They went specifically to his house to protest him for ‘being a racist.’ The homeowner was arrested, and the crowd remains outside. They seem to have gone on his property. WTF Milwaukee?” Kitty Shackleford, a Twitter user that archives riot footage, tweeted along with videos.

After the mob was outside his home for more than two hours, police arrived. As they entered the man’s property, the rioters cheered for police and called for the man’s arrest, yelling about how he had a weapon.

When the man was taken outside, seemingly in cuffs, the crowd went wild.

The lead in the polls thing is nearly the same as last time. You have to assume Obama levels of turnout to get there. The latest one i saw for Wisconsin has Biden up five or six but with a seven point turnout advantage for Dems. Hillary largely lost because she could not turnout the crazy liberals or minorities like Obama. Biden might get one of those back but I doubt both.

Similarly Trump didn’t turnout the traditional Republican base and remains soft there. Biden is now out campaigning because they have polling showing that the riots and/or Antifa-BLM is either energizing Trump support where he was soft last time (the burbs) or dampening their enthusiasm.

If it weren’t for covid hurting Trump he’d be the odds on favorite right now.* Dems used covid to let their govs run crazy and drive down Trumps numbers (and raise theirs… this country is so screwed). But then they got cocky and overplayed their hand with this BLM bull crap and it blew up in their face).

If Biden somehow wins the election in November, he will probably not win the electoral college. Would not be surprised in Biden steps aside before the electoral college meets. An inaugural speech would be too much for Joe to handle.

The electoral college members are free to vote for Harris as President when they gather in December. Harris may be priming the electors, by talking about the Harris administration yesterday.

As bad as Biden is, he would probably do better than Kamala in a debate with Trump. She is not a very pleasant speaker and more people like Joe , despite his incoherent gaffs. For this reason , Biden will remain on the ticket until December. Either way, Trump will cruise to victory in November, probably winning all the same states he won in 2016 plus Minnesota.

    In a sense.

From Scientific American, 1985-01, Volume 252, Number 1 “The Command and Control of Nuclear War” by Ashton B. Carter:

PRESIDENTIAL “DOOMSDAY” PLANE, officially known as the National Emergency Airborne Command Post, or NEACP (pronounced “kneecap”), is one of a fleet of specially modified Boeing 747’s maintained in a high state of readiness by the U.S. Air Force for possible use in a nuclear war. In an emergency the National Command Authorities the president and the secretary of defense (or their duly deputized alternates or successors) – would board the plane, which would then fly to its cruise altitude, where it would be in a position to communicate with the nation’s strategic forces by various line-of-sight techniques. The plane is also capable of transmitting low-frequency (LF) and very low-frequency (VLF) signals over the horizon by means of a long antenna trailed from the back of the plane. In addition each NEACP plane carries a satellite-communications terminal and an assort ment of other gear. Although there is no way at present for the Soviet nuclear forces to target such an airborne command post once it is in the air, the plane is considered quite vulnerable to a surprise submarine-launched missile attack when it is on alert on its airstrip.

Biden can’t debate Trump successfully, but the most dominating parts of Biden’s personality are his ego and goofiness. Biden never turns down a stage, and he loves being the center of attention. Biden’s ego is urging him to debate Trump, and his Biden’s goofiness tells him that he’ll win the debate.

This is a guy who’s spent decades talking to audiences, and he has rock-solid confidence in his ability to do so. Despite his Harold Stassen-like previous presidential runs in which he gained almost no support from his own party, his goofiness refuses to let common sense enter his brain. He has no chance of winning this election, and he won’t believe it.

Neither Biden nor Harris had the support from the majority of the Democratic base. Biden only won the primary because Democratic party elders ordered everyone else to drop out. This is NOT a normal primary win that shows solid support from the base, and Biden’s getting a nasty surprise come election time. Democrats aren’t going to the polls. They’ll have a turnout so low that looks like a primary, not a general election.

This will be doubly so if the Democrats don’t pass a relief package that gives households another $1200 before the election. The average voter really cares about that 1200 bucks. It’s the one thing that will make a positive change in their lives. If Democrat radicals + Pelosi hold this up before the election, their lower-class base will be furious and wanting to tar and feather them.

Young liberals whites don’t care about bankrupt city pensions, because most of them don’t work as city employees and they never will be city employees. They won’t be negatively affected by it if cities are not bailed out. But the majority of them make low salaries, and many work for minimum wage. They really need that $1200.

As for blacks, they will hold Pelosi and the Democrats personally responsible if they don’t get a $1200 dollar check. Blacks don’t care about the rest of the package Pelosi wants, because they don’t care about bankrupt pension plans. You don’t have to care about things like teacher pension solvency if you’re on welfare all your life. What’s more, blacks live in the moment, and they want that extra money in their pocket for fun and games. They’ll get mad at Pelosi if she doesn’t cough up.

    Pelosi doesn’t understand this.

C-Span just showed the 1960 Nixon-Kennedy debate. Simple format, they sat on chairs on a very small set, no smart-ass journo interventions, they just did the intro and stated issues for them to speak to. Although EVEN THEN the network “edit” was in place as they sneaked in “reaction shots” of Nixon as JFK was speaking designed to pick at him. But compared to the media atrocity exhibitions that have come since, exemplary. There should NEVER be a studio audience to “play” to.

  81. It is actually strange, all this.

US is a populous country with the world leading entrepreneurs, scientists, probably military men, entertainers, scholars, technologists, financial experts, higher education, even writers, various other artists, (concert) music performers, innovators, …

And then, when it comes to the highest political office in the country – a disaster. Whatever one may think, likes & dislikes aside, both Roosevelts, Truman, Nixon, … were very capable statesmen. JFK is a world cultural icon, so it is impossible to judge him dispassionately. Even Reagan was, well, good. Nobody’s perfect.

Trump- who, I think has 70-80% chances of winning again- is smarter than most people give him credit to: other Republicans are spineless. Yet, Trump is a vulgarian absurdity. In comparison with Truman or Nixon, he is a village idiot. Don’t get me wrong, there are professional politicians I appreciate- you need not agree with me- like Susan Collins.

Democrats are …. horrible. All of them.

I don’t know about now but in the 1970s I knew a USAF general who flew what was then called “Looking Glass”. 24/7 there was a flying Command Post airborne, the Discovery Channel program “Wings” had an episode about it and my general knew the 4-star they used for the video. The deal was field commander generals were tasked to fulfill the mission once a month if they were 1-star, once of every 2 months if they were 2-star, etc. The Pentagon generals (there are hundreds!) never had to do it, the op was run out of Offut AFB in Nebraska.

The mission was there so no matter what happened on the ground, there would be a “last resort” command up and running and able to issue orders for retaliatory strikes if necessary. The interesting thing the general told me was that every time he got on the plane, besides the USAF crew there were always these “other guys”–civilians not USAF and at least two–already on the plane. They did not introduce themselves, never spoke to others. Just watched everybody else.

There is your Deep State it’s always been there. Like the KGB guy in “Red October”? The military can NOT start a war like in “Dr. Strangelove”. I don’t believe the president can either, Cheyenne Mountain underground would have to relay the order if it came. They would have the most instantaneous up-to-the-second information superior that whatever the president could see.

The TIP plot under way suggests that even if Trump wins enough states to get the Electoral College votes, he may ultimately not get them. This is the year when “faithless electors” might become a real problem; most states that require pledged electors try to keep them in line by the threat of heavy fines, but tell me that is going to matter in the age of GoFundMe campaigns and the Soros purchases of state AG elections. A Trump win in the Electoral College could easily be unwound.

There is always the Twelth Amendment, which throws it ultimately to the House in January with each state delegation getting a single vote. Right now, that would suggest a Trump win, but after several months of increased protesting and riots, there might be enough Repubes willing to take the thirty pieces of silver in the hope of putting things to rest. If none of that works, they might just JFK him, even without BiBi’s blessing, but the Dems are starting to make nice to the appropriate parties in hopes they are on side if the need for that contingency arises.

The Glass, as you describe it, was a fleet of several EC-135s flying several shifts a day to keep one airborne at all times, so they went through the rotation of generals quite frequently. SAC gave up on 24/7 airborne ops in the early ‘90s, as it was too expensive, so The Glass started pulling ground alert like its big brother just across the street, JCS NEACP (“kneecap”), now NAOC, which was tasked to pick up the surviving NCA if the balloon went up, and they would tell The Glass et al what to do. I believe the Navy has assumed The Glass’s mission since then.

I don’t know about mysterious guys, but they did have a functioning galley that served hot food while airborne.

Within the year he needed live-in help, as he would get lost in the neighborhood. by the time he was 73 he could no longer remember our names, but he was still quite active, we took him hiking everyday. He was quite fit for his age. In a few months he could no longer speak, nor feed himself and passed away at the age of 73. It was amazing how fast the decline occurred.

Thanks for admitting that Trump fits those traits.

“Voting third-party and wish I had done so in 2016 too”.

I didn’t vote for Shitlery nor Trump in 2016. Biden, “weak” as he is, is decidedly better than Trump. Why are you pretending otherwise?

Joe Biden’s former stenographer, Mike McCormick, said today on the Chris Plante radio show that Biden has been using specially-made earpieces to which he’s being fed instructions. If so this doesn’t explain the bizarre story unless someone hacked the communication.

It would be quite a moment if Biden suddenly shouted “Pepe!” during the debate.

    Perhaps he’d even win?

Retards would believe Biden won even after he had more dislikes than likes, very few followers and those polls saying he is preferred to Trump are bull-dust, because Trump’s following and enthusiasm is in stark contrast to Biden’s. Yet if he doesn’t win, the Left will throw another 4 year long hissy fit and finally bring the USA to its knees. no, this Aussie never missed calling a US election and it’s never been more obvious who is vastly more popular either. The Dems have lost their marbles but I suspect they expect this time they will steal it.

Trump has done plenty wrong dummy. The Dems have just never identified any of it, they just make shit up.

Rabid homocentricity! So many dogs! Oh the caninity!

I always assumed the plan was to get Biden to election night and then throw a radio in his bathtub.

Not necessary. Senile dementia and the 25th amendment will suffice. I expect it will be invoked before Joe has found his way to the Oval Office. (Sadly, I do believe he’ll win the election handily.)
