But we should be pointing them in the general direction of the “common good”.
It’s much more than that – it’s basically trying to impose affirmative action on every facet of society. They have largely succeeded in convincing people on the left politically that in any instance in which non-whites or women are not represented in exact proportion to their share of the population, sinister forces are at work that need to be dismantled.
Basically totalitarianism dressed up as social justice, and the implication if you are against it you are against democracy…which is rich since the left doesn’t actually believe that majorities should get their way in society because it oppresses everyone else, a tune they will immediately stop singing once whites are no longer an outright majority in the US.

This equity business is very similar to what is going on in South Africa right now. Where even property acquired AFTER Apartheid was ended can and will probably be thrown into the pot known as Expropriation without Compensation…Same thing that happened under Mugabe btw. Farmers who got his government’s approval and signature to purchase land for farming after independence had their land taken back eventually as well.
The US is being set up for the same thing at some point in the future if the current trends are not reversed. The middle class homeowner will be outvoted by the newly empowered immigrants who own nothing of value and we will be seeing a similar trend here eventually.

The use of “equity” is an Orwellian power move by the racial communists. It’s deliberate, not the result of ignorance or carelessness. The purpose is to shift the metric for race relations from equality of opportunity to equality of outcome. But because the doctrine of equality of outcome (ie, communism applied to race) is so odious, it must be hidden behind the word “equity” which has multiple meanings in common parlance but a very specific, very different meaning in the cult of social justice.
Perhaps it should be called Emmett Domain.
