This push to demonize the proud boys as white supremacists is just bizarre. Am I the only one who remembers that Gavin McInnes and the Proud Boys presented themselves as the multicultural civic national alternative to Richard Spencer and his ilk back in 2016 (the alt-lite to his alt-right)? I guess it just shows that everyone on the right is a Nazi to these people.

I find the maniacal leftist obsession with the Proud Boys so damn funny. All they ever do is go into deep-blue enclaves and get the tar beaten out of them by Antifa.

Which fashion brands would pay celebrities not to wear their clothes?

It’s also an excellent tactic for a competitor in the same industry to gift them clothes from the rival brand, in order to form a status-lowering association in people’s minds. (This is something that already happens btw.)

Cause célèbre of recent years in Russia, that youth wearing expensive British fashion labels, are beating other youth for not being able to explain their reason for wearing expensive British fashion labels.

In particular, for youth wearing fake versions of those labels, or sewing on Stone Island label to their clothes.

In the end, the English fashion labels are benefiting from additional prestige and brand enforcement, especially probably millions of dollars for Stone Island, Fred Perry and Burberry. (It’s also extended now to even non-expensive labels – .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0or71Mx-NQ. )

Fred Perry is particularly stupid for football ultras to beat you for, considering that it is a bourgeois English tennis label.

  19. Bill P says:

They could always start their own brand. It isn’t as though there’s a shortage of unemployed Americans who can operate a sewing machine or learn to do so in a day or two.

What do Fred Perry shirts go for? 50 bucks?

Scratch that — I looked it up. They go for $90.

You could pay women $20/hour and still make a lot of money even at $50/shirt.

Fred Perry manufactures mainly in China nowadays anyway. If I want a Chinese shirt I’ll just go to Walmart and get it cheaper. I know how it is over there. The factory making Fred Perry is selling the same thing to Walmart under another name for a third the price.

Brand loyalty is just stupid conspicuous consumption these days. Of all the IP worth protecting, brands are the least consequential, and yet Americans for some dumb reason still trust them.

  36. Anonymous[154] • Disclaimer says:

Are there any Proud Boys left who are not undercover FBI?

It’s a fair question regarding leadership. Richard Spencer was fedgov from the beginning. Duh.

The feds claim a monopoly on all race organization leadership positions going back at least 60 years. Aryans Panthers Raza whatever. All of it. So easy for them to take over when they have huge budgets and abundant personnel.

Also same goes for non-racial groups. Sounds crazy but those mormon ranchers doing the protests against BLM back a few years ago were completely infiltrated with undercover fedgov agents.

If you lead a race organization or anti-gov organization and you are successful — doesn’t matter what race or what cause — you will either 1. play ball with the feds 2. go to prison or 3. go to the morgue.

Those mormon ranchers were miraculously saved by Trump.

  47. Altai says:

The irony is it didn’t hurt their brand at all because most people had no idea what ‘Proud Boys’ looked like. (See Althena Bernstein claiming half her attackers were all in black and the other half in Hawaiian shirts because she couldn’t keep up with the media’s fascination with Fascist fashion) But the young female professional social media users in their marketing department couldn’t deal with it and the higher ups couldn’t say no.

Maybe it will lead to an opening in their fashion line for something new to come along but most likely they’ve just shot themselves in the foot for no reason and no material or social reward. I didn’t even know about this link and don’t care but lots of people who might care now know who otherwise wouldn’t.

But hey, at least we know they weren’t ashamed that their polo shirts were associated with modern day Joe Bidens and sociopathic Goldman Sachs interns.

If there is anything that demonstrates that this is a giant moral panic mediated by social media and produced almost entirely by Gen Y and now supercharged by Gen Z women, it’s that we keep getting updates on the fashions of our imaginary fascist death squads.

“Kyle’s father was investigated for securities fraud but he was totally cleared and now Kyle works for Deutsche Bank and I know he shouts at waiters but like, people should. But the other night I saw him put on his polo shirt after Fred Perry made their announcement and I was like, don’t you know that’s a fascist symbol and he just laughed and now I think I have to break up. Like it would be embarrassing to be seen with him now.”

The great thing about the Hawaiian shirts faux-fad was it was so preposterous while retaining the fun of being in on the irony, the kind of op that chan and r/TheDonald kids were good at: devising pranks to erode the assistant vice principal’s fragile sanity. OTOH the Proud Boys, despite McInnes’s obvious (to me) Malcom McLaren-esque hipster merchandising, genuinely stakeholders more elevated than the busybodies and the paranoiacs. Even the most “with it” white liberals with advanced degrees have seen enough “Sid and Nancy” type cultural detritus and PBS thumb-sucker sociological documentaries to realize organized healthy pub-goon groups are a lurking threat to white liberal values. They’re officially Racist even when the gobble are multiracial. Yes, the corollary of the Establishment’s “no enemies to the left” credo is “all to the right are enemies”. Or to put it into modern terminology, we’re all “Nazis”. Distinctions between alt-lite and alt-right, between anxious suburban homeowners and brownshirt LARPers, count for zero.

Bizarre but a lot of blacks believe that, it was already on the loose during the Carter administration, but those facts won’t matter, nor will it that nobody at the time even had the tech to create such. Seriously, I just took a Yougov survey on who is to cause for the disruption and the results were 39% “white supremecists” to 18% “antifa” and the rest a mix of “I don’t know” type answers. Shows the public has rocks in their heads and Enlightenment Quackary such as mass voting as a system of government was a fatal mistake 250 years ago and getting rid of our aristocracy was a fatal blow for the west. The name is a goof. It comes from a song in The Lion King ffs. Gavin made up the whole thing to get the left to freak out about something completely silly. Unfortunately for him he was too successful and they have completely deplatformed him and forced him to disown the Proud Boys.

In nyc the proud boys are a multiracial group of guys who like to fight and go to nyc soccer games to frighten the antifa goons who have tried to appropriate American soccer for their political agenda. Portland and Seattle regularly feature prominent antifa signage at their matches.

So in nyc the proud boys just go to the matches and stare at the antifa pussies, who then whine about being made uncomfortable. Seriously, look at antifa in action. They are almost without exception physically weak, uncoordinated and cowardly. Their favorite move is sneaking up behind someone, hitting them with a bike lock and running away.

What the Right still can’t figure out (despite claiming to represent the views of working people or The West in general) is that uniforms don’t work in Anglo-American culture. Germans might think of mighty warriors, but we think of doormen.

Mosley went nowhere with his Blackshirts. He was mercilessly mocked by Huxley and Wodehouse (who created a recurring character, Roderick Spode, who was the inept leader of the Black Shorts).

And remember how Pelley’s Silver Shirts ran FDR out of the White House? No?

Need I mention the various costumed Neo-Nazis?

And yes, polo shirts and khakis is a uniform, especially when accessorized with tiki torches.

Hell’s Angels are not a counter-example. Their “colors” are worn specifically to annoy, like the steel helmets and swastikas. Read Thompson to find out how the jackets are marinated in urine etc. to serve as “anti-uniforms.”

And no, it’s not a “gay thing.” Actual gays would have enough fashion sense to know what does and doesn’t “work.”

If one must have a uniform, I suggest Patton’s idea for a tank corps uniform: green leather bodysuit and gold helmet. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Thank Heaven for the lockdown and work from home. Imagine how rank the NYT editorial offices would be, what with every writer pissing his pants every day over the latest “worse than the Cuban missile crisis” scare.

Wait a second, the “sides” need to win us over…….helpful suggestions : cool combat footage, cute young women with weapons and war nerdy social media types to keep us up to date.

I think it’s the absence of various poisons one commonly finds in Chinese cosmetics. I’m sure embryonic tissue, if it’s the real thing, fetches a high price. But of course it does so here as well.

    All too true.

Even Britain – perennial contender for most cucked nation – managed to put together the BNP, which for all its problems still got a couple of its candidates elected to the Euro parliament. ( I guess in order to make up for that small success, it then proceeded to collapse virtually overnight, for not even any apparently good reason.)

    Tell that to David Daleiden!

“They should wear Nike Colin Kaepernick gear.“

For the 1st time many can “afford” the luxury goods they’ve always wanted. When those government SARS-CoV-2 checks arrived, within the hour the money from those checks was Nike’s et al.

Over the last couple of months it’s been like clockwork to buy any company stock that’s an Africant Americant favored brand/store just prior to its quarterly earnings release. (I’m a 🐓 , so I go with equal numbers of put & call options just prior to earnings release; the moves are typically great enough that it hurts little to lose the put premiums.)

These same AA favored companies may make excellent shorting opportunities next quarter, as the checks haven’t been in the mail since August. Guessing Nike, Target, Apple… are headed for really hard times if the SARS checks don’t start showing up in mailboxes, like multiple voting ballets in urban neighborhoods, right quick.

Check out the post earnings jump of BBBY or NKE as examples of recent earnings upside surprises of AA favored SARS check beneficiary companies.

The Silk Street & Pearl Market in Beijing is a wonder to behold, an entire mall stuffed with high quality fakes.

My point is, they aren’t fakes. They are made by the same factories that make the authentic ones. Like the generic brands in US Supermarkets. In most cases they are made by brand manufacturers. Heinz Ketchup and Safeway Signature Catsup are one and the same.
