iSteve commenter Sgt. Joe Friday notes:

I was vacationing in Puerto Vallarta with my first wife 25 years ago, and remarked to her that the Mexicans who speak English tend to stay in Mexico, because English is an in-demand skill. The ones who can’t speak English go to the United States.

That reminds me of the marketing strategy class I took at UCLA’s Graduate School of Management in 1981 in which we competed as small teams in a computerized game (played using punch cards!) to make the most profits in the widget industry. My team had a lot of firepower, including the guy who wound up as “America’s highest paid female CEO, but we came in second by a sizable amount to a three man team, where all the heavy thinking was done by two students from Mexico, handsome young white guys who looked rather like Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal.

I bet those two went back to Mexico and have had enjoyable lives.

The bill — Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair — prohibits discrimination based on natural and protective hairstyles, including braids, locks, twists and Bantu knots. It also blocks Bay Staters from being denied employment or educational opportunities due to their hairstyles and textures.

  2. Reminds me of famous Mexican novelist Carlos Fuentes (“Terra Nostra”) who spoke perfect English, had affairs with numerous American intellectualized women (Jean Seberg?)- and stayed in Mexico.

  3. Highest paid drag queen CEO.

  4. I bet those two went back to Mexico and have had enjoyable lives.

A lot of sociopaths have good lives for themselves. If you don’t care about the fate of your own people, it frees you to throw everyone under the bus and focus on personal rewards.

It’s a pathetic, empty life, more sensation than reflection, but maybe that’s all a sociopath can understand. I’m not accusing those two of being that way. But a lot of “well-behaved” yuppies and SWPL types are. They run off to Vermont or live in a gated community and sneer at the rest of their people, claiming to be “high-minded intellectuals”.

There are a surprising number of large Mexican corporations that have been buying businesses in the US, especially in the food industry. Bimbo (pronounced Beembo) owns a whole bunch of American bakeries. Lala owns dairies. Slim owns a slice of the NY Times, etc.

These companies have a built in market selling familiar brands to Mexicans living in the US but their investments go far beyond just the ethnic market.

Is it legal to discriminate if you have straight blond hair or it is only illegal to discriminate against “Bantu knots” and the like?

How would I discriminate against locks and twists if I can’t even discriminate BETWEEN them? Does the law provide helpful illustrations of what these different styles are because I have no f’n idea.

I love the Orwellian use of “natural” to mean the opposite of natural. Actual “natural” black hair looks like steel wool and no black woman would be caught dead wearing it. Something that requires many hours of labor and many chemicals to achieve is anything but “natural”.

*Movement of the underclass is facilitated by the government of Mexico for economic reasons (the opposite of brain drain).

    * The Mexican underclass is drawn to the U.S. for economic opportunity because even the shittiest job in the U.S. is still orders of magnitude better than what they can find in Mexico.

Went to Mexico to buy barbiturates for a humane and peaceful death. Decided that if I was gonna die anyway I might as well fuck a prostitute before it was all over. After that a cab driver offered to sell me cocaine. One thing lead to another, and I got a room above a whore house equipped with a heart shaped bed, a stripper pole, and a hot tub.
Spent a full week snorting coke off tits, popping pain meds, drinking tequila, eating handfuls of Viagra to fight the whiskey/coke dick, and had three FFM threesomes.
Somewhere in the midst of my coke-fueled orgy I decide life wasn’t so bad after all.

Viagra is an extremely powerful drug and a handful would kill you. I wish people wouldn’t treat it as a joke, just because it has to do with erections and sex.

So Steve Sailer chooses to mention two Mexican men known mainly for having a make out scene with each other in a Spanish-language film. There is absolutely no other way he could have chosen specifically those two for his example.

Even when the only scenes from that film worth watching are the ones the lovely Spanish actress Maribel Verdu.

Could it be that after decades of assuming that his audience is respectable family men like him, Steve has finally become resigned to the grim reality that a lot (40%) of contemporary White Trashionalists are gay men? Remember, many here have openly said they would rather have sex with a white man than a pretty quatroon woman like Halle Berry. So awareness of widespread homosexuality within WN is increasing. Poor Steve has to cater to an audience that he never thought he would be the core of White Nationalism.

One can’t help but feel bad for Steve Sailer. His professional life is trapped in a prison far worse than he could have imagined.

She has absolutely no business anywhere near political power, and is an enemy of Western Civilization who should be swinging from a lamppost. 22. No, “Mexicans who speak English”
don’t stay in Mexico because English is so much in demand there. Those are simply well-educated and better-connected Mexicans; they stay in Mexico because they have a host of advantages that enable them to live well in Mexico.

Historically, people haven’t emigrated if they were already doing well in their home countries. Trump was correct that Mexico “isn’t sending their best” but the same was true, back in the day, of Italy, Ireland and, yes, the Jewish Pale of Settlement.

  23. Speaking of English-speaking Mexicans, here’s a great trick I’ve discovered. When offered the opportunity to “oprima 2 para español”, go ahead and press 2. When the person comes on, tell them you pressed 2 accidentally. Chances are they not only speak English but they speak (and understand) English better than the infuriating Philipinas you inevitably reach if you press 1 for “English”.

What are white Latin Americans like? They are mostly not farmers and have not been for a long time, right? Scratching the dirt was for natives, though hacienda communities were a thing. Think latifundia.

Have they been selected for business/commercial success? The white Latin Americans I met were very smart, very gregarious, and somewhat lazy, though they worked very hard on things they found interesting. They were comfortable with large social distances. Think rich college students and the people who cleaned the common areas of the dorm.

The personality differences between Latin American social classes are really big.

Hey Jonathon Mason, how good are the “learn a language by CD/podcast/computer-aided spaced repetition” products? Let’s say you are a reasonably on-the-ball 22-year-old college graduate. Could you learn enough Spanish with Babbel stuff in a summer to get by in Latin America?

The fusion and clash between the American and Latino business classes could be interesting.

Has anyone “wargamed” a 2050 or 2060 hbd-aware of how America can be stable as a multinational state? Like, I know “we” are importing Indians into corporate boardrooms, but do Guatemalans look at Brahmin in the boardroom and say, “aye caramba! The capitalists have put diversity as job one! Boy howdy, if I were a generic non-white and not a proud Hispanic, I would be assuaged to see fellow non-whites exploiting me”?

I think the first step toward stability is having a two-party system despite the huge increase in populations that have historically voted for Dems and liberals, despite not being liberal themselves. One-party states tend to be corrupt and stagnant, though the Chinese system has certainly outperformed ours over the last thirty years.

Primary Candidate Trump showed that there’s a huge chunk of the potential electorate that never votes because no candidate represents their views. Are they 15%? Either party would be a nigh-unstoppable electoral juggernaut with 65% of the vote. Well, nigh-unstoppable unless a judge puts on his “nope!” face.

Immigrants can be divided into two groups: Those who speak or at least try to speak some English at home and those who function without English at home. When dealing with healthcare workers, it is easy to spot those who do not speak a word of English at home and only consume media in their original native language. Not only do such immigrants have more trouble succeeding economically, their children also suffer.

“Some people are just successful”. Some are; True, but the majority of shakers and movers I’ve known are sociopaths to some extent. Hell, I have a hard time telling folks they need to work the weekend. Why? Because I don’t want to work the weekend and I empathize with them. The GM doesn’t seem to struggle with it quite so much.

Then, how about the leadership of the FBI, Lois Lerner, Obama, the Bidens, Shumer, most every liberal arts college professor, most every field-grade officer: Sociopaths one and all: Using people and making the place miserable to ensure a golden retirement.

Successful? Yes, by their standards of success and by outward appearances. Inside they are just miserable spiders.

I don’t. More than likely her children all vote Democratic as do her grandchildren, and they likely all adhere either out of self-interest or as true believers to the advancement of the Great Replacement. Without the Pelosis and the Kennedys (understanding these as a synecdoche for SWPLa in general) there would undoubtedly be fewer high-IQ white people in America but since they are actively working against white interests our decline would stand a much greater chance of being halted if we could be rid of them.

There was a documentary on conservation in the shark fishery of Mexico. As I recall a bunch of Mexico City university types hied off to the remote Pacific coast to see what’s up and get the shark fishermen with the program. Of course these District Federal types were all what I call Euro-Mexican, green-eyed, fair skinned, pinche güeros to a man (and woman, natch), with a whiff of the trustafarian about them. And the local fisherman were beyond-sunburned dark,  practically pure Indio, and just scraping by longlining for shark. Out on a beach 150 unpaved miles from anything like cold storage, nobody knows what to do with 400 pounds of dead shark, but the fins? Those they can dry and sell, for a price, to the brokers, and, in turn, the Chinese.

Well the DF’s thought the fishermen might turn a more ecologically correct peso hosting shark tours for tourists instead of killing them — the sharks, that is —  just for their fins. And to their credit it seemed to catch on. But to be sure this beach is out where God lost his shoes, so you’ve got to be mad keen on sharks just to get there, ’cause there is nothing y nada else there.

The National Myth of Los Estados Unidos de Mexico is “We’re all mestizo.” Of course some are more (or less) mestizo than others.

The Spaniards recognized 23 (or was it 25?) caste distinctions.

What do you mean to get by? Could you learn enough to take a taxi, order a meal, go grocery shopping, tell your cleaning lady to scrub the toilet, etc? Sure you could, especially with google translate to help you at moments when word failed you. Especially if you are living somewhere where there a lot of expats – the real estate agents, restaurants catering to the gringo trade, etc. are all going to speak English anyway.

Could you learn it well enough to get a job in the local economy? Probably not but you probably don’t want one anyway – presumably you are talking about telecommuting.

The best way to learn the language is to get a local girlfriend.

  33. Jack D says:
    @Gilbert O'Sullivan

Making more money that the brokers will pay your for the shark fins is probably not a high bar. They don’t have to turn this place into Cancun in order to do better than they are doing now. Probably if a handful of gringos a week turns up for the deluxe \$99 shark viewing tour they will be way ahead of the game.
